1. 0:01ever since Surfer Bethany Hamilton lost
2. 0:02her arm in a shark attack when she was
3. 0:0413 years old she's rightfully been
4. 0:06called an inspiration getting back on
5. 0:09the water was remarkable enough but this
6. 0:11past week Hamilton did more than just
7. 0:13show up she won Don DEA reports she was

9. 0:19Hamilton won her first surfing
10. 0:21championship at eight years of age her
11. 0:23second at 12 a few months later her life
12. 0:26was changed forever she'd been lying on
13. 0:29her surfboard her arm dangling in the
14. 0:30water when a tiger shark bit it off at
15. 0:33the shoulder so this is where I lost my
16. 0:36arm she also lost 60% of her blood but
17. 0:39Hamilton not only survived she thrived
18. 0:42seeing her injury as a challenge not a
19. 0:45setback I look back on that and I think
20. 0:47how I wouldn't even change that if I had
21. 0:50the opportunity to and I just see all
22. 0:53the doors that it's open absolutely

24. 0:58her best-selling autobiographer her
25. 1:00courage inspired millions of people
26. 1:02Hamilton's Foundation holds Retreats for
27. 1:04teenage girls with similar injuries to
28. 1:07show them missing a limb doesn't have to
29. 1:09mean missing out on life it was a really
30. 1:12just cool opportunity to let them open
31. 1:14up and share what their struggles are
32. 1:17even with all the public
