Stupid Simple Session Sweep Strategy — Transcript

- 0:00Are you looking [music] for a repeatable
- 0:01intraday setup you can use every single
- 0:03day? Watch this post. The market has
- 0:05three major sessions, Asia, London, and
- 0:08New [music] York. Liquidity is often
- 0:10resting above their highs and below
- 0:11their lows, which is why these areas are
- 0:13so important to watch.
- 0:15>> [music]
- 0:15>> Dow Jones, June 18th. Asia low swept.
- 0:19We have a shift. [music] Place your
- 0:20order at the OTE level and target the
- 0:22buy side.
- 0:23>> All right.
- 0:24>> Asia high swept. We have a shift. Place
- 0:27your order at the OTE levels [music] and
- 0:30target the sell side.
- 0:31>> Why is it 618 there and 786 here? Guess
- 0:35the risk reward maybe. That'd be too
- 0:37tight of risk. Or I don't who knows.
- 0:39Okay, we had a retracement entries here
- 0:40than IFEG entry here. You can notice if
- 0:42we were to get this market structure
- 0:44shift, it wouldn't have been able to hit
- 0:46a retracement cuz it just ran. I do like
- 0:48the retracement entry more than the IFEG
- 0:49because of the risk reward is a lot
- 0:51better. So, let's test it. Okay, we have
- 0:53our indicator built with those sessions
- 0:55plotted in the highs and lows. Only time
- 0:57a signal forms is when it takes out a
- 1:00higher low and then it shifts. But, what
- 1:02I did notice is that that 618
- 1:04retracement doesn't technically matter.
- 1:05These market shifts have actually been
- 1:07better signals than waiting for a
- 1:09retrace of the 618. As you can see here,
- 1:11runs right back through the low. On this
- 1:13one as well, it shifts, runs right back
- 1:15through the low. A New York one here
- 1:17takes the low, runs right back through
- 1:18the high, never touches the 618. All
- 1:20right, so I told Quant to remove the
- 1:21618. You can see it's gone now. Now, we
- 1:23just get a signal when the market
- 1:24structure shift happened. Now, I asked
- 1:26Quant to add take profit and stop loss
- 1:28levels based on what he said. And all we
- 1:30have to do now is just click back test.
- 1:32Now, within Quant, this is going to take
- 1:34everything from this strategy and back
- 1:35test it on real data to tell us if it's
- 1:37profitable or not. Okay, wow. Dow Jones
- 1:40is actually really good on this
- 1:41strategy. 65% recently with a two profit
- 1:44factor, $1,200 net profit, and only a
- 1:47$500 drawdown. We can also test this on
- 1:49other timeframes and other assets. Let's
- 1:51just go to the NQ as well and see how it
- 1:53did. Ooh, so don't want to trade on the
- 1:55NQ. 45% win rate there. Let's try Let's
- 1:58try XAU. Wow, XAU recently has had a 70%
- 2:02win rate and over three profit factor.
- 2:04Incredible London short there. Nice
- 2:06London long. So, now we know that gold
- 2:09and the Dow Jones on the 5-minute is
- 2:11best for this strategy. Another thing I
- 2:13can do to make sure we have optimal
- 2:14settings, I can adjust the overall
- 2:16settings of how the indicator entries
- 2:18form. You see the optimal setup. So, you
- 2:20can see here, just adjusting those, we
- 2:22went up to a 77% win rate. Let's see
- 2:24what that looks like on the Dow Jones.
- 2:25Wow, for the Dow, that went up to a 68%
- 2:27win rate. So, now LuxAlgo Quant can
- 2:29build any concept you want and backtest
- 2:31it within the same platform, which can
- 2:33easily help you discover the best
- 2:34settings and strategies to use. And over
- 2:37the next couple months, LuxAlgo Quant's
- 2:38just going to get 10 times better.
- 2:40There's going to be more data to
- 2:40backtest and some crazy new features
- 2:43coming out. But, if you want the source
- 2:44code to this session strategy completely
- 2:46free, I'll actually send you the link to
- 2:48this chat. Just comment "YM" and I'll
- 2:51send it to you.
