Stop Wasting Hours on T-Shirt Design. Use This AI Process Instead. — Transcript

- 0:00This t-shirt has made me over $8,000 in
- 0:02the past two months. I made it in
- 0:04ChachiBT for less than 25 using a
- 0:07process I've spent months testing and
- 0:09refining. And it's not the only one.
- 0:11Every one of these designs was made the
- 0:13exact same way. Because here's the
- 0:15thing. If you want to launch a
- 0:17profitable t-shirt store, I always give
- 0:19the same advice. You need 100 designs
- 0:21first. And with AI, getting there has
- 0:23never been easier, cheaper, or faster.
- 0:26But only if you know how to use it. So,
- 0:28today I'm walking you through my whole
- 0:30three-step process. Everything that you
- 0:32need to sit down and knock out your
- 0:34entire 100 designs that are print ready
- 0:37with zero editing required starting
- 0:39today. Now, I want to have a quick word
- 0:41on the tool before we get into all the
- 0:43steps. Why am I choosing ChachiBT? I
- 0:46have tried a lot of image generators and
- 0:48this one is the one that takes what's in
- 0:50my head and puts it on the screen the
- 0:52closest to how I've pictured it. Now,
- 0:55Chachabt just released an updated image
- 0:57model 2.5. And honestly, I don't think
- 1:00there's a better one on the market for
- 1:02generating print on demand designs right
- 1:04now. So, that's what we're using today.
- 1:06Now, let's talk about price because you
- 1:08can do this for a lot less than people
- 1:10think. ChachiBT actually has four levels
- 1:13to their subscription model. Of course,
- 1:15there's the free version, but you are
- 1:17going to get capped on how many images
- 1:18that you can be designing at each of
- 1:20these levels. and free is going to be
- 1:22the least number of images that you can
- 1:25actually generate. Beyond that, there's
- 1:27the go version, which is $8 per month.
- 1:29The plus version, that's $20 per month.
- 1:32And [snorts] then there's the pro
- 1:33version, and you can choose between 5x
- 1:36and 20x, which is basically the amount
- 1:38of tokens that they give you. And that
- 1:40goes from $100 per month to up to $200
- 1:44per month. So, there's all these
- 1:45different plans for you to choose from.
- 1:48But the main difference for us is how
- 1:49many images each of these lets you
- 1:51generate in a day. Free is again going
- 1:54to give you a handful. Go, you'll get a
- 1:56few more plus a few more and then pro
- 2:00will be the most. Personally, I am on
- 2:02the pro plan. It's the most expensive
- 2:04one, but it's because I use Chat GBT for
- 2:07a ton of things outside of just
- 2:09generating images. It's definitely not a
- 2:12requirement in order to generate all of
- 2:14these designs. Just know that depending
- 2:16on the plan that you pick, you will get
- 2:18capped out at some point. But you can
- 2:20always upgrade and downgrade as needed.
- 2:22But I did want to be upfront about why
- 2:24we are choosing ChhatBT. And then I also
- 2:27wanted you to know all the different
- 2:28options that you have. So depending on
- 2:30the budget that you're working with, you
- 2:31have a ton of options with ChachiBT. So
- 2:34with that, let's get into the process.
- 2:36Again, this is a three-step process, and
- 2:38I'm going to run one design all the way
- 2:40through from idea all the way to upload
- 2:43so that you can watch it happen instead
- 2:45of just hearing about it. Now, step one
- 2:48is our concept. And I'm going to be
- 2:50really quick here because I'm not going
- 2:52to teach you how to actually come up
- 2:54with the concepts in this particular
- 2:56video. In fact, I already made that
- 2:57video last week on my channel. It's the
- 2:59one where I break down a bestselling
- 3:01design and show you how to find out why
- 3:03it sells and then flip that into
- 3:05something brand new. So, if you haven't
- 3:07seen it, I've linked it in the
- 3:08description below and it may be linked
- 3:10on the screen somewhere here. And you
- 3:12should watch that video after this one
- 3:14because no matter what image model you
- 3:15are using, it can't save a bad idea. And
- 3:18I honestly believe that the idea is the
- 3:21part that sells the shirt. The tool is
- 3:23just what makes that design for us. So,
- 3:26for today, I'm going to grab that
- 3:27concept straight out from that video. At
- 3:30the end of that video, I came up with a
- 3:32design I never actually made. It was a
- 3:35chunky raccoon sitting on top of an
- 3:37overflowing dumpster holding a fork and
- 3:39a knife with the line, "Famine was never
- 3:41an option, like feast or famine."
- 3:44Because a raccoon is honestly never
- 3:46going to go hungry. They are scrappy
- 3:48animals. They will do whatever they need
- 3:49to do to survive. And that's the concept
- 3:52that we're going to use today. So, if
- 3:53you can say it out loud and somebody
- 3:56gets it and it clicks, you're already
- 3:58ready for step number two. And that's
- 4:00the whole first step. You need the idea
- 4:03before you ever touch the image
- 4:05generating tool. Now, most people will
- 4:08do it backwards. They will just open up
- 4:09chatg first, then sit there waiting for
- 4:12them to be creative, waiting for the
- 4:14idea to come to them. But we don't want
- 4:16to do that. Step number two is the most
- 4:19important part, which is the prompt. And
- 4:21this is the part that I spent months
- 4:23figuring out. So, I'm going to slow it
- 4:25down here so that it's really easy to
- 4:27understand and grasp because here's what
- 4:29most people do. They'll open ChachiBT.
- 4:32They'll type make me a funny raccoon
- 4:34design and then they get something that
- 4:36looks like clip art or something that
- 4:38someone wouldn't want to wear right here
- 4:41on their chest. Then they decide AI
- 4:44looks cheap and then they give up. And
- 4:46the AI didn't fail. It was the prompt
- 4:49that failed. And a good prompt has two
- 4:51halves. The first half tells Chachebt
- 4:54what the design should look like. And
- 4:56the second half tells it what the file
- 4:58needs to be so that it's actually print
- 5:00ready and we don't need to do any
- 5:02editing outside. We don't need to have a
- 5:04canvas subscription if we don't want to.
- 5:06We don't need to make any edits or
- 5:08tweaks. So let me show you both. Inside
- 5:10the W scale community, we call the first
- 5:12half of the prompt our design equation.
- 5:16And it's made up of three ingredients.
- 5:18The first ingredient is essentially the
- 5:20print press. This is how the design
- 5:22would physically go on the shirt. Screen
- 5:25print, direct to garment, puff ink,
- 5:27foil. Now, we're not actually printing
- 5:29in that way. Our print provider handles
- 5:31that printing, but that's the first part
- 5:33of this prompt. But when you tell Chat
- 5:35GBT that this is a water-based screen
- 5:37print, it understands the look that we
- 5:39want. A soft, matte, slightly faded
- 5:42design. It is a shortcut for a whole
- 5:45visual style. Now, the second ingredient
- 5:47to our prompt is the design style. This
- 5:50is the art itself, like retro vintage or
- 5:53minimalist line art, handdrawn, cartoon,
- 5:578bit. This is what your eye notices
- 5:59first when you see a shirt. The third
- 6:02ingredient is the mood. This is what you
- 6:04want someone to feel when they see it.
- 6:06Funny, sarcastic, nostalgic, cute,
- 6:08empowering. The same raccoon drawn cute
- 6:11and drawn as dark humor are two very
- 6:14different t-shirts. So, the first part
- 6:16of our prompt is print press, design,
- 6:18style, and mood. That's our equation.
- 6:21And I know what you're thinking because
- 6:22I thought it, too. Okay, but which
- 6:25combination? There are 15 print styles
- 6:27and 10 art styles and 20 or 50 different
- 6:31moods that I could select. How do I know
- 6:33what works? And here's the answer. It is
- 6:35the same answer as the concept video.
- 6:37You don't guess. You let the best
- 6:39sellers tell you. In that video, we went
- 6:42and screenshotted the designs that were
- 6:44already selling in the marketplace. We
- 6:47then broke down the overall concept, why
- 6:50this design was working. Everything from
- 6:52the style of the design all the way to
- 6:55the graphics that they were using and
- 6:57then the typography that all came
- 6:59together and truly made the concept
- 7:02speak to the viewer. So, we basically
- 7:04broke down our design equation. It would
- 7:07say something like a handdrawn cartoon
- 7:09line art or three different flatlay
- 7:11colors, sarcastic copy looks like direct
- 7:14to garment on a garment dyed tea. You
- 7:17could even take a screenshot, throw it
- 7:18into chat GBT and have it break down
- 7:21that design equation for you. That's
- 7:24going to probably be the easiest and the
- 7:25simplest move. Now that we have it
- 7:27written down in words that we can put
- 7:29straight into our prompt, we do this on
- 7:32five to 10 different best sellers. And
- 7:34you'll start to see similar equations
- 7:36showing up. And when we see that, that
- 7:39becomes a repeatable pattern. So every
- 7:41time we sit down to the design, we can
- 7:43start using similar design equations to
- 7:46come up with new and different designs
- 7:48that we want to add to our store. So
- 7:49let's do it on the shirt that gave us
- 7:51the raccoon in the first place. This is
- 7:54the penguin from our concept video. You
- 7:57can see it says flight was never an
- 7:58option underneath. I'm going to upload
- 8:00it and ask for a breakdown. And there it
- 8:03is. That vintage faded retro graphic tea
- 8:06look broken into words. So my equation
- 8:08for the raccoon is a water-based screen
- 8:11print feel, retro70s vintage design
- 8:15style, and the mood is funny with a
- 8:17little bit of punny. The concept is
- 8:20brand new. the look is now borrowed from
- 8:23something that's already selling. That's
- 8:26the whole idea. So, this is going to
- 8:27feel like a brand new design. It's not
- 8:30going to be anything close to a copycat
- 8:32or anything that could get flagged as
- 8:34copyright. Now, let's talk about the
- 8:36second half of the prompt. This is the
- 8:39half that nobody likes to talk about,
- 8:40and it's the reason that I can upload
- 8:42straight from ChatBT without touching
- 8:45another editing tool. Three things need
- 8:48to go in this place. First, it's the
- 8:50size. I use 4500 by 5400 pixels as my
- 8:54starting point for every t-shirt. This
- 8:56is based off of Printify standards. They
- 8:59also say that having 300 dpi is going to
- 9:02give you the highest quality for a crisp
- 9:05print. Under that, it'll come out soft
- 9:07and pixelated, and Printify will try to
- 9:09automatically upgrade the quality for
- 9:12you, but it never turns out that good.
- 9:14So, at 300, it comes out nice and sharp.
- 9:17You would never have any customer
- 9:19complaint about this being a faded
- 9:21design or a design that doesn't look
- 9:23crisp. And I ask for it as a PNG in sRGB
- 9:28color because that is the file that
- 9:30Printify wants. That's what's going to
- 9:32get you the best prints. So there's no
- 9:34need to convert later. Next, I also add
- 9:37in that I want this design on a
- 9:39transparent background. So that way I
- 9:41never have to go into Canva and play
- 9:43around with background removals and
- 9:45getting into those little tiny areas
- 9:47trying to clean up a design. You'll tell
- 9:49it to generate the design on a
- 9:51transparent background. No backdrop, no
- 9:54box behind it. And this is the one that
- 9:56saves you the most time because normally
- 9:59you'd have to take that design from Chat
- 10:01GBT, upload it into Canva or use some
- 10:04other background remover and clean up
- 10:07the design. And on a detailed design,
- 10:09that is where edges get chewed up and it
- 10:12starts looking cheap. Or you'll try to
- 10:15remove the background on a design you
- 10:17really like and it's just not getting
- 10:18it. And it's so frustrating when that
- 10:21happens. When Chacht generates it
- 10:23transparent from the start, there's
- 10:25nothing to remove. Even the fine detail
- 10:28is clean. So, we're going to be able to
- 10:29download this design and immediately
- 10:31upload it into Printify without any
- 10:33issues. The third is we can put in a
- 10:36copyright check. You can literally tell
- 10:38it, do not use any copyrighted
- 10:39characters, logos, brand names, or
- 10:41trademarked fonts. Now, I want to be
- 10:43honest here. I'm not a lawyer. I
- 10:46typically will just use my best
- 10:47judgment. If I feel this is borderline
- 10:50of stealing somebody's artwork or coming
- 10:53too close to a video or a movie or some
- 10:57brand's likeness, I stay away from the
- 10:59design. Period. I don't put that up on
- 11:02my site. But as you know, a lot of
- 11:04people are out there and they will put
- 11:06those designs up. So if you are nervous
- 11:08about that, you can always throw in,
- 11:10hey, run through a copyright check. I
- 11:12want to make sure I'm being safe. But
- 11:14this is going to catch any obvious
- 11:16stuff. So if you're someone who doesn't
- 11:17know what could be copyright, what
- 11:19isn't, this is a great safety check for
- 11:21you. So here's the whole prompt built
- 11:24for our raccoon shirt. Create a t-shirt
- 11:27graphic. I want this to be print press
- 11:30waterbased screen print look soft matte
- 11:32slightly faded design style being a
- 11:35retro70s vintage graphic tea the mood
- 11:39funny and punny the design is a chunky
- 11:42raccoon sitting on top of an overflowing
- 11:44dumpster holding a fork and knife
- 11:46looking satisfied the text reads famine
- 11:49was never an option in a chunky retro
- 11:52syrup print ready 4500x 5400 pixels at
- 11:56300 dpi I PNG with a transparent
- 11:59background, no backdrop, sRGB color. Do
- 12:02not use any copyrighted characters,
- 12:04logos, brand names, or trademark fonts.
- 12:07That's the prompt. And the thing I want
- 12:09you to notice is that the concept, the
- 12:12raccoon, is the one line in the middle
- 12:15of all of it. Everything around that
- 12:17concept is the part that makes it print
- 12:20ready and makes it look like a real
- 12:22shirt instead of clip art or, you know,
- 12:24those typical AI designs. Once you build
- 12:27this once, you're not rebuilding it a
- 12:29100 times. You then save it and you can
- 12:31swap out the concept line if you got a
- 12:33really good output. That's how you get
- 12:36through 100 designs quickly. Now, step
- 12:39three is generate. And there are three
- 12:41ways that we can actually
- 12:42[clears throat] do this. So, I'm going
- 12:44to run the raccoon through all three so
- 12:46that you can see the difference of
- 12:48outputs that you get from the three
- 12:50different ways we can generate a design.
- 12:52The first way is the simplest. You
- 12:54essentially take the prompt that we just
- 12:56built and we paste that into chatbt. We
- 12:58then hit enter and that's it. Chhatbt is
- 13:01going to do the rest. The second way
- 13:03that we can generate a design is
- 13:05essentially by putting in our original
- 13:07design. So for the raccoon, we can take
- 13:10a screenshot of the penguin design that
- 13:11we used as our original idea as like our
- 13:14original concept to build off of. We can
- 13:17take that screenshot, feed it into
- 13:18chatbt and essentially ask chatbt to
- 13:22describe this t-shirt, break it down of
- 13:25what it sees, the style, etc. Break that
- 13:28down into a prompt. Explain the concept
- 13:30that we want to have. So add in our
- 13:33raccoon, and give it all of the
- 13:35specifics of it being 4500x 5400 pixels,
- 13:39300 dpi on a transparent background,
- 13:42yada yada yada. Then it's going to
- 13:44create a prompt based off of that
- 13:46original image. So not just me looking
- 13:49at it and determining what do I think
- 13:51this whole breakdown is, but essentially
- 13:54starting from that original image,
- 13:55breaking that down granularly for the
- 13:58image model to interpret and then create
- 14:01a brand new image. And as you can see,
- 14:04the two images that were created, the
- 14:06one from our original prompt and the one
- 14:08from chat GBT viewing the original and
- 14:11just creating a prompt for it and then
- 14:14generating it. We have two very
- 14:16different designs. So, it kind of
- 14:18depends on the style you're going for,
- 14:20what your idea was for that concept,
- 14:23what you wanted it to ultimately look
- 14:25like. This is what you should use when
- 14:27you can see the vibe, but you can't
- 14:29necessarily name it. We want to let the
- 14:31tool name it for us and then ultimately
- 14:34create that prompt. Now, the third way
- 14:37is one that people probably don't
- 14:39realize exists. Instead of describing
- 14:42the look, we just hand it the look. This
- 14:45time, we can upload two different
- 14:46images. The first one is our penguin.
- 14:49That's where the concept came from,
- 14:50which gives context to the model. And
- 14:53the second one is a completely different
- 14:55design in a style that I really like.
- 14:58And I tell Chachi BT that the first
- 15:00image is my concept reference. The
- 15:03second image is the one I want you to
- 15:05actually edit. This is essentially
- 15:07telling the model that they're going to
- 15:09take that second image and just edit
- 15:11that image. So essentially like if you
- 15:14threw this into Photoshop and you were
- 15:16really good at graphic design and you
- 15:17could totally tweak and play around a
- 15:19design and come up with something brand
- 15:21new in that style that you really like.
- 15:24So this is what we'll tell the model.
- 15:26Make the raccoon the focus. Put famine
- 15:29was never an option across the top. Keep
- 15:31the second images style and give it to
- 15:34me in 4500 by 5400, 300 dpi,
- 15:38transparent, and sRGB colors. So, the
- 15:41concept is coming from one shirt and the
- 15:44look is coming from another. And what
- 15:47comes out is something that nobody has
- 15:49seen. It's the same line, weight, and
- 15:51texture as the style referenced, but
- 15:54with a brand new idea inside of this.
- 15:56This is my favorite for building a
- 15:58collection because when you want 10
- 16:00designs that all clearly belong in the
- 16:02same store, but don't have the same
- 16:05feel, this is how you get them to really
- 16:07stand out. One thing here, and it
- 16:09matters, you're borrowing a style. You
- 16:12are not recreating the exact same shirt
- 16:15that somebody used. Again, we are using
- 16:17this concept of the style and bringing
- 16:20it in with our own concept and idea. The
- 16:24concept has to be yours. If I uploaded
- 16:26the penguin and said, "Make it with a
- 16:28different bird with the same line," you
- 16:30would just have made the same copy that
- 16:32sits on that Etsy page and everybody
- 16:35knows what I'm talking about when I say
- 16:37that. We want to flip the idea, then
- 16:39borrow a look, never the other way
- 16:42around. Now, here are our three
- 16:44generated designs. As you can see, they
- 16:46all have a similar feel. Our concept
- 16:48comes across. It really comes down to
- 16:50the style and the vibe that you're
- 16:52looking for for your brand, for your
- 16:54store. Now, for me, the last generation
- 16:57is closer to what I had in mind, closer
- 17:00to what I wanted. Now, you could still
- 17:03put all three of these up. I would just
- 17:05scatter them throughout my collection so
- 17:07it doesn't feel similar, but then we can
- 17:09let the market essentially tell us which
- 17:12style people actually like. And that
- 17:14leads us into being able to create more
- 17:16designs like that in that style. And you
- 17:19can keep using and tweaking those
- 17:21prompts like we've talked about. So we
- 17:23can now take all three of these and you
- 17:25don't need to open Canva. You don't need
- 17:27to remove a background. You can
- 17:29literally download them from Chat GPT
- 17:31and upload straight into Printify. And
- 17:33as you can see, Printify gave us no
- 17:35warnings, no issues. This is 300 dpi.
- 17:38It's going to come out crisp. I didn't
- 17:40need to resize anything. So, we just
- 17:42went from a one-s sentence idea to our
- 17:45design not needing any edits and
- 17:47uploaded immediately into Printify. And
- 17:50every design from the beginning of the
- 17:52video went through this exact thing. So,
- 17:54that is the three-step process. We have
- 17:57our concept, our prompt, and then we
- 18:00generate. Concept is the idea, and you
- 18:03get that from those bestsellers. Prompt
- 18:06is the design equation plus all of our
- 18:09print ready information. You can build
- 18:11that prompt once and then just swap out
- 18:13the different styles and print presses
- 18:15that you're going for. Lastly is
- 18:17generate. And there's three ways that we
- 18:18can do this. So you can pick whichever
- 18:20one fits the style that you see in front
- 18:23of you. Then it just goes straight into
- 18:26your print provider and uploaded to your
- 18:27site. And the reason I always say 100
- 18:30designs first is this. When the design
- 18:32part takes this little time, the only
- 18:35thing standing between you and a launch
- 18:37store is sitting down and doing it. not
- 18:39needing to learn Photoshop, not needing
- 18:41to do a bunch of edits in Canva, not
- 18:44waiting until you feel like a designer
- 18:46and you're looking for inspiration, but
- 18:48just sitting down and knocking it out.
- 18:51Now, if you're sitting there and you're
- 18:52thinking, "Okay, I get the designs, but
- 18:55what about everything else? The store,
- 18:57the products, how do I launch?" That's
- 18:59exactly what the million-oll brand
- 19:01blueprint is for. It is every resource
- 19:03that I actually use laid out in order
- 19:06from finding your designs all the way
- 19:08through building your store, going live
- 19:10with your first products, and actually
- 19:12starting to run ads. Wherever you are in
- 19:15your journey, it shows you the next
- 19:17step. If you're interested, it's linked
- 19:19in the description below. Again, it's
- 19:20completely for free. So, if you want to
- 19:22steal all these resources that I use,
- 19:25you can grab it right there. And if you
- 19:27found this helpful and you want more
- 19:28videos like this, please like and
- 19:30subscribe to my channel. it would
- 19:31absolutely mean the world to me. Other
- 19:32than that guys, thanks for watching and
- 19:34I'll see you in the next video.
