Step-by-Step: How I Make a Coloring Book with ChatGPT (Amazon KDP) — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. In
- 0:01today's video, I'm going to do a
- 0:03walkthrough of how I created my coloring
- 0:05book. I showcased my coloring book in my
- 0:07last video, which is a full step-by-step
- 0:09tutorial for Tik Tok. I will leave this
- 0:10video linked down below in case you
- 0:11haven't seen it yet. Okay, so I'm going
- 0:13to start with just a full fliprough so
- 0:14you can see all the pages inside, and
- 0:16then we'll go over to Chat GPT and I'll
- 0:17show you my prompts. This is the exact
- 0:19format that I uploaded into Amazon KDP.
- 0:21So, when they open the book, here's the
- 0:22cover page. Next is my thank you for
- 0:24purchasing page. I also linked my Tik
- 0:27Tok on here as well. I just went over
- 0:29here to apps on Canva and then typed in
- 0:30QR code generator and I used one of the
- 0:33top two. I forgot which one exactly.
- 0:35Next is my color test page. These little
- 0:37shapes are just shapes on Canva. This
- 0:39image right here of the coloring book
- 0:41with a paper behind it I also made on
- 0:42chat GPT. And then I just put an image
- 0:44of my coloring page as an overlay. I
- 0:46also made this book belongs to page on
- 0:48chat JPT. Now, as I'm scrolling, you
- 0:50will see a blank page behind every
- 0:52coloring page. That's because I uploaded
- 0:54my book that way. So when people color
- 0:56the coloring page, it doesn't bleed
- 0:57through onto the next coloring page. I'm
- 0:59gonna go ahead and start some music
- 1:00while I scroll through these. Feel free
- 1:01to speed up or slow down the speed as
- 1:03needed.

- 1:34Hey,
- 1:38hey, hey.
- 1:54>> [music]
- 2:11>> Okay, here's the last page of my
- 2:12coloring book. Now, we're going to go
- 2:13ahead and go over to Chat GPT and I'm
- 2:14going to show you my prompts. Now, this
- 2:16goes without saying, but I'm just going
- 2:17to say it anyway. I'm not showing you
- 2:19the interior of my coloring book and my
- 2:21prompts so you can go out and copy my
- 2:22exact book. I'm doing this because I
- 2:24want to sincerely help you create your
- 2:25own coloring books with your own unique
- 2:27ideas. So, please do not copy my exact
- 2:30coloring book interior. If you want to
- 2:31succeed with Amazon KDP and make it a
- 2:33long-term business, copying people's
- 2:35books is not the way to go about it. So,
- 2:36with that being said, I'm going to go
- 2:37ahead and show you my prompts. So,
- 2:39here's the prompt that I used for all of
- 2:40my coloring images. The only thing that
- 2:42I changed is what the image was.
- 2:44Generate a black and white bold line art
- 2:46coloring page featuring a and then I put
- 2:48hedgehog. And then I put one more
- 2:50sentence describing the setting. So
- 2:52flowers are on the ground. This next
- 2:54part was all the same for every image
- 2:56that I generated. I want this image on a
- 2:57blank white background. The design
- 2:59should be whimsical, engaging, and
- 3:01intricate but not overly detailed with
- 3:03clean high contrast outlines perfect for
- 3:05coloring. And here is the image that I
- 3:07got. So again, the first part is the
- 3:09same and then featuring a and here's
- 3:11where it differed from prompt to prompt.
- 3:13I just changed what I wanted in the
- 3:15image. Sometimes the image was not
- 3:16perfect and I had to redirect. So here
- 3:18was the first image that I got and then
- 3:20I just said, "Can you make the rose in a
- 3:21lying position on top of the books?" And
- 3:23then I got the image. A little tip that
- 3:25I did was whenever I knew that I wanted
- 3:27to create a cottagecore coloring book, I
- 3:29went on to Google images and just typed
- 3:31in cottagecore clip art just to get some
- 3:33inspiration of what was in those images.
- 3:35and that helped me create my list of
- 3:37what I wanted in my book. I didn't copy
- 3:39any of the clip art images that I saw. I
- 3:41just use those for inspiration for what
- 3:43images I wanted to create in my book.
- 3:44The last part of the video I'm going to
- 3:46show you is how to create the colored
- 3:47versions of your pages. So, here's my
- 3:49coloring book cover, and these are the
- 3:51exact images that are in my coloring
- 3:53book. I just used Chat GBT to help me
- 3:54get the colored version, and I use those
- 3:56on my cover. So, here's what the colored
- 3:58versions look like, and I'm going to
- 4:00show you how to get those. Whenever I
- 4:01had all my images from ChatGpt, if I had
- 4:03to edit them in Canva, I would do that
- 4:05first and then download a PNG and then I
- 4:07said take the uploaded black and white
- 4:09coloring page and create a full color
- 4:11version of the exact same image. If you
- 4:13don't like the color scheme that it
- 4:14uses, you can always redirect and say
- 4:16for this chat, I want all these images
- 4:18to be pastel or dark earthy colors. If
- 4:21you're doing a kids coloring book, then
- 4:22you could say, I want all of my images
- 4:24to be colored in bright colorful primary
- 4:26colors. So here's one more image from my
- 4:28book. I use the same prompt. And then
- 4:29here's the image that I got. And then
- 4:31you can use these on the cover of your
- 4:32book. And you can also use those to
- 4:34advertise your book on Tik Tok. Like I
- 4:36mentioned earlier, my last video was a
- 4:37full tutorial on how to use Tik Tok to
- 4:39market your Amazon KDP books. In this
- 4:42video right here, I actually used Chat
- 4:43GPT to help me color one of my pages and
- 4:45then I used that to advertise on Tik
- 4:47Tok. I showed the blank version and then
- 4:49I showed the colored version. Just an
- 4:51idea for you to help market your books.
- 4:53And then I just use those colored images
- 4:54that I generated on my cover. I love
- 4:56this cover. I think it turned out really
- 4:57good. It's nice and clean and shows the
- 5:00exact images in my book. I've seen a lot
- 5:02of negative reviews for AI book saying
- 5:04that they wanted to color the page that
- 5:05was on the cover and that wasn't a page
- 5:07that was actually in the book. So, I
- 5:08wanted to use images that were actually
- 5:10in my book. I feel like it's more
- 5:11transparent and is a better accurate
- 5:13idea of what the customer is going to be
- 5:14receiving. Hopefully, this video is
- 5:16helpful for you. Please like and
- 5:17subscribe and then leave any comments
- 5:18down below. Thanks for watching and I
- 5:20will see you in the next one. [music]
