0:25Now the spirit speaketh expressly
0:29that in the latter times some
0:32shall depart from the faith. Thank God
0:34it's not all.
0:36A lot of people want to act like it's
0:37all. [music]
0:39I see a good number that ain't.
0:41But some shall depart from the faith
0:43giving heed
0:45to seducing spirits and doctrines of
0:48devils
0:49speaking lies and hypocrisy having their
0:53conscience. Would you say their
0:54conscience?
0:56Having [music] their conscience seared
0:59with a hot iron.
1:01The NLT
1:03said it simply like this. Their
1:06conscience
1:07is dead.
1:09Their conscience is dead.
1:12Then I'll turn your attention to one
1:13more verse Ephesians chapter number 4
1:17and
1:18verse number 19. Ephesians chapter
1:20number 4 and verse number 19. [music]
1:23Who being past feeling. Would you say
1:26past feeling?
1:28Who being past feeling have given
1:31themselves over
1:33unto lasciviousness
1:35to work all uncleanness
1:38with greediness.
1:40The NIV said it like this. They have
1:42lost
1:43>> [music]
1:43>> their sensitivity.
1:46And the amplified simply said it like
1:48this. Their hearts have become
1:53calloused. Their hearts
1:55have become callous.
1:57I have
1:59sought the Lord [music]
2:02as good as I know how for the service
2:04tonight.
2:06And I am praying that
2:08the Lord will do for me for some young
2:11people in this house
2:13what he did for me year after year after
2:15year of coming in this building.
2:18And I believe if you will help me
2:20tonight, that's going to happen. I want
2:22to ask all over this house one more
2:23time, if it's appropriate, [music]
2:26would you join hands, put your arm
2:27around your neighbor's shoulder, or
2:29whatever is appropriate. [music]
2:31And I'm asking you right now that you
2:33would truly help me seek the Lord. Would
2:35you do that for me right now?
2:40Come on, what about those of you in the
2:41risers? Would you help me?
2:47Come on, I wish I had a prayer warrior
2:48that would lift up your voice.

3:16GIVE SOMEBODY AN ANSWER IN THIS HOUSE.

3:44Tonight, thank you for
3:46helping me pray.
3:50Want to begin
3:52tonight by talking about
3:55the blessing of pain.
3:58God
4:00designed the human body to alert you
4:04to where you will know when something is
4:07wrong.
4:09Every ache, every sharp pain is your
4:13body screaming out for you to pay
4:16attention to something.
4:18Pain lets you know when something is
4:21wrong.
4:22Pain can even save your life.
4:26Something a lot worse have heard a lot
4:28of people complain about pain.
4:31But there is something worse than pain
4:33and that is losing your ability to feel
4:35it at all.
4:37Didn't always understand that.
4:40Fact, was something that I learned
4:43through one of the hardest lessons of my
4:44life.
4:46Was November of 2011. I was a
4:4913-year-old boy.
4:52And
4:53my father had taken
4:55my two oldest brothers on a trip to
4:58Belize
5:00and Benjamin and I felt left out. So,
5:04to make it up to us, my mom took us
5:06somewhere that was almost as good as the
5:09Caribbean
5:11and that was Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
5:15And
5:16on that trip
5:18I started getting more sick than I had
5:21ever been in my life.
5:23I was throwing up. I was sleeping more
5:25than I had ever slept. I felt like I had
5:29about 10
5:30cases of the flu at the same time.
5:33We went home and got home on a Saturday
5:36and was not able to go to church on that
5:38following Sunday.
5:40My mother came in on Monday morning,
5:42just had a bad feeling
5:44and she woke me up out of a deep sleep
5:47and she said, "Clark, I'm I'm taking you
5:50to the doctor. Going to go see what is
5:52going on. I've been reading about some
5:55of your symptoms and I'm worried."
5:58I'll never forget when I was sitting
6:00there in that doctor's office after they
6:03had done a couple of tests and taken
6:06some blood
6:08when my doctor came in and she had a
6:11glass of water in her hand. She handed
6:13it to me and she said, "Drink up, kid.
6:16She said you've got a long road ahead of
6:18you." She said, "I'm diagnosing you with
6:21type 1 diabetes."
6:24Now, at the time I I really had never
6:26even heard of that, but I remember my
6:29mother began to cry. I remember the
6:31worry that was in my father's voice.
6:34And and they rushed me to the hospital
6:37and I soon realized that my life would
6:40never be the same again.
6:42Went straight to
6:44ICU and they began to teach me how to
6:48prick my finger, how to give myself
6:51insulin shots and
6:53once my sugar finally came down, they
6:56started several days of very intensive
6:58training teaching me on how to manage
7:02and live with this disease that except
7:04for a miracle, I will have the rest of
7:06my life. I remember them talking about
7:10what would happen if I did not learn how
7:12to manage this disease. Started talking
7:15about blindness, started talking about
7:18kidney failure, started talking about
7:20heart failure. All of these scared me,
7:23but at that time something that got my
7:26attention so much was something that was
7:29called diabetic neuropathy.
7:32They explained that it started
7:35as burning and tingling, typically in
7:38the fingertips or the toes and that as
7:41time went on, it would turn into
7:44numbness, and eventually a complete loss
7:47of feeling in that particular part of
7:50the body.
7:51Now, at 13 years old, I I made up my
7:54mind, whatever I've got to do, whatever
7:57uh whatever means I have to take, I do
8:00not want to end up that way.
8:02I was released from the hospital, and we
8:05have a man in our church, uh his name is
8:07Brian, but his nickname is Bucky. That's
8:10what everybody back home calls him.
8:12And and Bucky uh had been type 2
8:14diabetic for many decades, and he took
8:17me under his wing and started to help me
8:20learn different things.
8:22Uh he he talked about how his eyes had
8:25given him trouble. Bucky lived by the
8:27motto, "Do as I say, not as I do."
8:32We'd go out to eat and and and he'd get
8:34a strawberry lemonade with about 60 g of
8:37sugar, tell me get a diet Coke. Uh that
8:40was the way that he did it, but he had a
8:43lot of complications, had a lot of
8:45issues. Kidneys gave him trouble, his
8:47heart gave him trouble.
8:49But the number one thing that he talked
8:51to me
8:52a countless amount of times was his
8:55struggle with neuropathy.
8:58One day he came over to the house, and
9:01he had a boot on, and he come hobbling
9:03over there and plop down in a chair,
9:06started unstrapping his boot, and and
9:10the next thing I knew, he was taking his
9:12sock off, and I'll never forget seeing
9:16his foot as it was swollen, as it his as
9:20it had changed colors, as toes had
9:23turned black and blue. He started
9:26telling me a story.
9:28Bucky had been in construction most of
9:30his life, and one particular day, he was
9:34out working and walking around the job
9:37site doing various things and
9:40decided to go and take his lunch break
9:42and as he did, he sat back and threw his
9:45feet up on the table and when he did, he
9:49started feeling something wet running
9:52down his leg.
9:53Didn't know what it was, but he lifted
9:55up his pant leg and he seen that it was
9:57red and he realized that it was blood.
10:01Called one of his buddies over to look
10:03and
10:04they were started trying to figure out
10:06what was going on cuz Bucky had had
10:08tried to pull his foot out to see if he
10:10had cut himself, to see if there was a
10:12wound. When he tried to pull the heel
10:15out of his boot, he found he found that
10:18his foot was stuck inside of his boot.
10:21Buddy came over and started looking and
10:24that's when he told him, "My God, Bucky,
10:26you stepped through a 5-in
10:29construction nail."
10:31They rushed him to the hospital. By the
10:33time they were finally able to get that
10:35nail out of his foot, he said that his
10:38boot was literally full of blood. He had
10:42walked around for hours and hours with a
10:45nail through his foot and did not have a
10:48clue.
10:49It got infected. It was 6 months of
10:52surgery. They thought that he was going
10:55to have to have his foot amputated. And
10:58and we were talking about it later at a
11:00different time and he said something
11:03that I have never forgotten. This was
11:05the statement that he made. He said,
11:07"ISN'T IT SOMETHING THAT ALL THIS
11:10HAPPENED to me simply because I lost my
11:14ability to feel."
11:18Everything that I went through could
11:20have been avoided if only I would not
11:24have lost my sensitivity. Now that that
11:28scared me then and it scares me now
11:30thinking about it, but I I I'll tell you
11:33that I did not come to preach to you on
11:35this Wednesday night on the first night
11:37of peak about diabetic neuropathy. I
11:40didn't come to you tonight to preach
11:43about what happens when you don't manage
11:45this disease.
11:47I want to talk to you for just A LITTLE
11:49WHILE ABOUT A DISEASE that is far MORE
11:52DEADLY THAN DIABETIC NEUROPATHY. I'm
11:55telling you this disease is even more
11:57devastating. This disease IS EVEN MORE
12:01TRAGIC. THE CONSEQUENCES OF THIS DISEASE
12:04ARE EVEN MORE SERIOUS. And when this
12:07disease is left UNCHECKED IN A BODY, IT
12:10BEGINS TO STRIP THE VERY JOY AND LIFE
12:13AND HOPE OUT OF THE INDIVIDUAL THAT IT
12:16FINDS ITSELF IN. I'VE COME TO PREACH TO
12:19YOU TONIGHT ABOUT SPIRITUAL NEUROPATHY.
12:22I'VE COME TO PREACH TO YOU FOR JUST A
12:24LITTLE WHILE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE
12:28GET TO THE PLACE THAT PAUL WAS TALKING
12:30ABOUT WHEN HE SAID THEY ARE BEYOND
12:33FEELING.
12:39I WANT TO I WANT TO TALK TO YOU TONIGHT
12:41WHAT I felt in prayer, WHAT I FELT IN
12:44THE HOLY GHOST, A PROBLEM THAT WHETHER
12:46WE WANT TO ADMIT IT OR NOT, IT IS
12:48INFECTING AND IT IS AFFECTING SOMEBODY
12:51IN EVERY YOUTH GROUP THAT IS REPRESENTED
12:54IN THIS BUILDING TONIGHT. WE CAN IGNORE
12:57IT IF WE WANT, BUT I'M TELLING YOU THERE
12:59ARE YOUNG PEOPLE IN THIS HOUSE THAT HAVE
13:02COME TO PEAK AND IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME
13:05SINCE THEY COME TO CHURCH AND THEY FELT
13:09WHAT THEY WANTED TO FEEL. IT'S BEEN A
13:11LONG TIME SINCE THEY COME TO CHURCH AND
13:15DID NOT FEEL LIKE THERE WAS CALLUSES ON
13:18THEIR HEART. I'VE COME TO PREACH TO
13:20SOMEBODY. I BELIEVE BEFORE IT'S OVER,
13:23SOMETHING'S GOING TO CHANGE.
13:28COME ON, GO AHEAD AND LIFT UP YOUR hands
13:30with me in this house.
13:40Hallelujah. Be seated tonight.
13:43I was
13:44preaching
13:45meeting couple years back and
13:49during that meeting
13:50one of the
13:52speakers that was there
13:54started preaching and he said
13:57if you're here tonight
13:59and you are dealing with numbness
14:03where when you come to church you just
14:05don't feel everything that you wish you
14:08felt come to church and and what you
14:11want to feel. I know we got distraction.
14:13That's okay tonight. Hey, you you come
14:15to church and you don't feel everything
14:17that you want to feel. Here's what he
14:19said. I want you to step out of where
14:21you're at and make your way to this
14:23front.
14:24I I'll be I'll be honest with you
14:26tonight. I I expected maybe 5 to 10% of
14:31that crowd to come out of that front.
14:34Come to the front and say I'll be honest
14:36when I come to church I just don't feel
14:39everything that I wish I felt. But I I'M
14:42TELLING YOU I WAS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED
14:45WHEN 90 TO 95%
14:48of those young people stepped out of
14:50their pew, come to the front and lifted
14:53up their hands and said when I come to
14:55church I just don't feel everything that
14:58I want TO FEEL. SOMEHOW SOMEHOW WHEN I'M
15:01IN GOD'S HOUSE THE THING THAT I USED TO
15:04FEEL THE EASE THROUGH WHICH I USED TO
15:07CRY AND FEEL THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY
15:10GHOST. IT IS NO LONGER THERE.
15:13I'VE COME TO TALK TO SOMEBODY TONIGHT.
15:15IT IS NOT GOD'S WILL THAT YOU LEARN HOW
15:18TO COME TO CHURCH
15:20>> [screaming]
15:20>> AND NOT FEEL THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY
15:23GHOST. IT'S NOT GOD'S WILL THAT YOU
15:26LEARN TO COME TO CHURCH
15:33Come on, lift up your hands with me one

15:40Everybody, would you close your eyes and

15:44everybody would close your eyes. WOULD

15:50SOMEBODY THAT YOU'RE STANDING NEXT TO IN

16:37Understand tonight that we don't
16:39do everything based off of how we feel.
16:45Nobody in this house that has a
16:46consistent prayer life has one because
16:49every day you woke up and just felt like
16:51doing it.
16:53No Nobody in this house that worships
16:55every time they come to church does it
16:57because they just always feel like
16:58worshiping. But, I'm telling you it is
17:01vital. It is necessary. When you come to
17:04church, it is God's will that you're
17:06able to feel something.
17:12Whether Whether you
17:14Whether you believe Believe or not, it
17:16was never God's will for apostolic young
17:19people to come to church and be robots.
17:29It it
17:30It was never God's will for us to come
17:33to church and to simply learn how to go
17:36through the mechanics of a worship, the
17:39mechanics of praise. God has never
17:41wanted some planned program response out
17:45of me and you. It was never God's will
17:48for us to learn how to come to church
17:50AND WE JUMP AROUND AND WE DO OUR LITTLE
17:52TWO-STEP AND WE GO HOME AND NOTHING IS
17:55DIFFERENT AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN US.
17:58I'M TELLING YOU IT WAS NEVER GOD'S WILL
18:01FOR YOU TO DO THIS THING MECHANICALLY.
18:04BUT YOU KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS? WE'VE
18:06LEARNED WHEN TO SIT AND WE'VE LEARNED
18:08WHEN TO STAND. WE'VE LEARNED WHEN TO
18:10JUMP, WE'VE LEARNED WHEN TO RUN. WE'VE
18:12LEARNED WHEN TO SAY AMEN. WE'VE LEARNED
18:14WHEN TO SAY HALLELUJAH. COME ON, BUT I'M
18:17TELLING YOU JESUS SAID THERE IS A PEOPLE
18:20THEY HONOR ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR
18:23HEART IS FAR FROM ME. IT WASN'T GOD'S
18:27WILL FOR ME TO COME IN HERE

18:30>> AND JUST DO SOMETHING WITHOUT HAVING IT
18:33CHANGE ME.

18:43How many how many times and I just want
18:45to talk to some young people in this
18:46house today. How many times have we come
18:49to church and we shouted and we danced
18:52and we run and and we did everything
18:54that apostolics do, but we walked out
18:57the door and in your heart of hearts you
19:00knew nothing was different inside of
19:02you. You knew you WERE JUST AS BOUND AS
19:06WHEN YOU WALKED IN THE DOOR. YOU YOU MAY
19:07HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS OF
19:09WORSHIP, BUT SOMEHOW IT WAS NEVER
19:12HITTING YOU RIGHT HERE. SOMEHOW IT NEVER
19:15GOT DEEPER THAN JUST SOMETHING WE WERE
19:17DOING ON THE OUTSIDE.
19:22I'M I'M
19:24I'M I'M watching it I'm watching it in
19:26in in in different meetings. I'm
19:28watching it in different places that
19:30I've been and that is this when the
19:32MUSIC GETS TO GOING. IF YOU WERE JUST TO
19:34LOOK at everybody's feet,
19:37you would think that everybody in the
19:38house was getting a breakthrough.
19:40If if you were just to look AT THE WAY
19:42THAT EVERYBODY WAS DANCING, IF YOU WERE
19:44TO LOOK FROM THE WAIST DOWN, YOU WOULD
19:46THINK THAT EVERYBODY WAS GETTING A
19:48BREAKTHROUGH, BUT I'M TELLING YOU ONE
19:51LOOK IN THEIR EYES,
19:54>> [cheering]
19:58>> I'LL I'll I'll never forget I'll never
20:01forget as just a child time that I went
20:04with my
20:04with my dad to visit an elderly lady
20:07that was on hospice. AND WHEN WE GOT
20:10THERE TO PRAY with her, she was just A
20:12COUPLE OF HOURS FROM DEATH. AND I'LL
20:15NEVER FORGET AS A CHILD LOOKING INTO HER
20:19EYES.
20:20I'LL NEVER FORGET SHE WAS STILL ALIVE,
20:22BUT THE LIGHTS THE LIGHTS WERE ON, BUT
20:25NOBODY WAS HOME. YOU KNOW WHAT IT WAS
20:27CALLED IT'S CALLED THE THOUSAND YARD
20:30STARE. AND I'M TELLING YOU I'M BOTHERED
20:32[screaming] WHEN I WATCH YOUNG PEOPLE
20:34THAT THEY'RE JUMPING AROUND AND THEY'RE
20:36SHOUTING, BUT YOU CAN SEE THE QUESTIONS
20:39IN THEIR EYES. YOU CAN SEE THE DOUBT IN
20:42THEIR [screaming] EYES. YOU CAN SEE THE
20:44DEPRESSION AND THE ANXIETY AND THE FEAR
20:48IN THEIR [screaming] EYES. I'VE COME TO
20:50PREACH TO SOMEBODY TONIGHT. IT'S NOT
20:52ENOUGH TO JUMP AROUND AND NOT HAVE
20:55[screaming] ANYTHING CHANGE. THERE'S GOT
20:58TO BE SOMETHING DEEPER THAT HAPPENS IN
21:00YOU TONIGHT TO WHERE WHEN YOU WALK OUT
21:03THE [screaming] DOOR, YOU KNOW THAT YOU
21:05KNOW THAT YOU KNOW I HAVE BEEN
21:08[screaming] CHANGED.

21:44WHAT A WHAT A revelation when I finally
21:47understood it. The devil is not
21:50intimidated by my professional footwork
21:52when I come to church as long as I'm
21:55dancing right over my sin.
21:59THE THE DEVIL THE DEVIL WAS NEVER
22:01INTIMIDATED BY HOW MANY LAPS I COULD RUN
22:04AROUND THE AISLES. AND I'M NOT PREACHING
22:06AGAINST IT. I I THINK YOU KNOW BETTER
22:08THAN THAT. BUT HE DIDN'T CARE HOW MUCH
22:10OF THAT I DID AS LONG AS I WENT HOME TO
22:14THE SAME ADDICTION, TO THE SAME BONDAGE,
22:17TO THE SAME MASK.
22:25SEE, I remember I remember a time as a
22:28as a young man when my praise and my
22:30worship was almost starting to have a
22:32placebo effect on me. IT IT WAS
22:35SOMETHING THAT WHILE I FELT GOOD, WHILE
22:37I WAS DOING IT, BOY, IT FELT GOOD. WHILE
22:40I WAS IN THE MOMENT OF JUMPING AND BOY,
22:42IT FELT GOOD. BUT IT WASN'T ACTUALLY
22:45DOING ANYTHING TO ME. IT WASN'T ACTUALLY
22:47CHANGING ANYTHING IN ME. I'M PREACHING
22:50TO YOU, THANK GOD FOR THE SHOUT. WE NEED
22:53RUNNING, WE NEED DANCING. I'M ALL ABOUT
22:56IT. BUT THANK GOD WHEN I GOT THE
22:58REVELATION, WHAT MAKES MY PRAISE
23:01POWERFUL, IT'S WHEN I LEAVE CHANGED.
23:04WHAT MAKES MY DANCE POWERFUL? IT'S WHEN
23:07I GO HOME AND I WALK IN PURITY AND I
23:11WALK IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND I WALK IN
23:14CLEANNESS. COME ON. MY PRIVATE PURITY IS
23:17WHAT GIVES ME POWER WHEN I PRAISE.
23:31Can I Can I preach to my generation and
23:33tell you that we have believed a lie if
23:37we think it's normal to be up dancing
23:39and running in the altar, but we're
23:41spiritually backslid by THE NEXT
23:43MEETING. WE HAVE BELIEVED A LIE IF WE
23:47THINK IT'S NORMAL TO COME TO CHURCH AND
23:49DANCE AROUND, BUT BE HOOKING UP BEFORE
23:52THE NIGHT IS EVEN OVER. I'LL TELL YOU
23:55HOW IT HAPPENS. IT'S WHEN WE LEARN TO
23:57RESPOND TO A BEAT WITHOUT RESPONDING TO
24:01GOD. IT'S WHEN WE LEARN HOW TO GET A
24:03TOUCH AND NEVER GET DELIVERANCE. IT'S
24:06WHEN WE LEARN HOW TO RUN THE AISLES, BUT
24:09NEVER RUN TO AN ALTAR. I'M TELLING
24:11SOMEBODY IN THIS HOUSE.

25:21I'll never forget
25:23hearing the story as a
25:25eight or nine
25:27year old boy
25:28girl that was
25:30in our youth group back home and
25:32here's what she said.
25:34She said, "You know, when I used to
25:36do things I shouldn't do
25:38I used to fool around with my boyfriend
25:40and look at stuff and go places that I
25:42knew I shouldn't go.

30:31when we come to church
30:33and it doesn't excite us the way that it
30:35used to?
30:37Why? Why?
30:38Why is it a surprise to us
30:40that we come to peak and we're not as
30:43excited about it as we used TO BE. OF
30:46COURSE, of course, we're not excited to
30:49come to church when we've spent all week
30:51long feeding our flesh
30:54and filling it with whatever desire that
30:57even pops through our mind.
31:00Of course, OF COURSE, IT'S HARD to focus
31:03on preaching and teaching. The average
31:05American spends The average American
31:08teenager spends somewhere between 6 to 9
31:12hours a day
31:14on their phone.
31:16Somewhere between 4 to 6 hours of that
31:20is spent on things like Instagram reels,
31:23Facebook reels, TikTok,
31:26YouTube shorts.
31:29Within just an hour,
31:31a couple of hours, which is uh far less
31:35than many young people in this house
31:36today are watching,
31:38a young person can easily exceed over a
31:42thousand videos watched.
31:45Think about that. In that many videos,
31:48the hundreds of voices, the hundreds of
31:51opinions, the hundreds of of of of
31:55ideologies that are opposite to the
31:57Bible and the word of God, HUNDREDS OF
32:00SUGGESTIVE THEMES. IN FACT, EVEN THE
32:03WORLD HAS BEEN SMART ENOUGH TO LABEL
32:06WHAT YOU AND I SOMETIMES DO AS DOOM
32:09SCROLLING.
32:14It's called a social media feed.
32:17You know why? Because that algorithm
32:19knows how to feed you exactly what
32:22you're looking for. It knows how to feed
32:25your flesh. It knows how to feed lust.
32:28It knows how to feed pride. It knows how
32:31to FEED EVERY WORLDLY DESIRE THAT IS
32:35INSIDE OF YOU. I'M TELLING YOU WHAT IT'S
32:38DOING. IT'S CAUSING US TO COME TO CHURCH
32:41AND LOSE OUR SENSITIVITY TO THE THINGS
32:44OF GOD.
32:55But people that are
32:56proud that they don't
32:58own a television.
33:00They don't go to the movie theater.
33:03But they'll look at any
33:05partially nude reel.
33:08Any filthy comedian.
33:13Any influencer that every other word
33:15they say is a cuss word. And they're
33:17proud that they don't go to the movie
33:19theater, but they'll watch hour after
33:21hour after hour of cussing and violence
33:24and and murder and the filth of this
33:26world. I'M TELLING YOU THERE'S SOME
33:28THINGS YOU AND I HAVE SEEN BECAUSE OF
33:31SOCIAL MEDIA, WE SHOULD HAVE LIVED OUR
33:33WHOLE [screaming] LIVES AND NEVER BEEN
33:35EXPOSED TO IT, NEVER SEEN IT, OUR EYES

42:02there today. You better believe when I
42:05think about where God
42:11You BETTER YOU BETTER BELIEVE WHEN I
42:13THINK ABOUT WHAT I KNOW THAT I DESERVE
42:16AND WHERE I KNOW I OUGHT TO BE AND WHERE
42:19I KNOW I SHOULD BE RIGHT NOW, YOU BETTER

46:18NIGHT AT PEAK. IF THEY'RE PREACHING THE

46:22I WISH SOMEBODY RIGHT NOW WOULD LIFT UP

46:50I'M HURRYING. I was in a revival I was
46:53in a revival a couple years back,
46:55and on one of the Sunday mornings, a man
46:57came in,
46:58received the gift of the Holy Ghost.
47:01And
47:02his mother would stand up in the weeks
47:04following in that revival, and she would
47:07say, "Here's what y'all don't know.
47:09When he come in and got the Holy Ghost,
47:11that very week before, he was in the
47:13hospital.
47:15Fact, when we got the call,
47:18the doctor called us, and when we got
47:19there, they told us he probably was not
47:22going to make it.
47:23He had overdosed.
47:25This was not the first time that he had
47:27overdosed. It had happened several
47:28times.
47:29And they were able to bring him back.
47:32And and the doctor went to that mother,
47:35and here's what he said. He said, "When
47:37you go home, here's what I want you to
47:39do. On your way home, go by the funeral
47:42home,
47:42and pick out a casket,
47:44cuz it's not going to be long,
47:46and we're going to be burying your son."
47:49Should she have done it? Probably not.
47:51She went
47:53on her way home, stopped by the funeral
47:54home, and picked out a casket for her
47:57son.
47:59Lost all hope that anything would
48:01change. He come in that Sunday and God
48:04filled him with the gift of the Holy
48:05Ghost.
48:13We was
48:16A little bit of time went by, a month or
48:18two in that revival and
48:19and and I know I know there's some
48:22evangelists of my
48:23friend Pastor Carroll's in the house.
48:26Anybody that knows Brother Carroll will
48:27know if you ask him about any service
48:29he's ever been in in his life, it's
48:30going to be unbelievable, off the chain.
48:33Never had a bad service. Well, can I Can
48:35I be honest with you tonight as a young
48:36evangelist? I've had some bad services
48:38that I've preached.
48:41Can I have a preacher say amen?
48:45And
48:46and we was in we was in one of these
48:48midweek
48:49Wednesday night services.
48:51And you know, I was kind of hoping we'd
48:53be up here.
48:55Kind of like where I wish we was tonight
48:56and we was a little bit more like down
48:57here. Kind of like we are tonight.
49:00And
49:01I was kind of just being honest with
49:03you. I was kind of getting just a teeny
49:05bit frustrated.
49:07I'm looking out there and I'm thinking,
49:08my God,
49:09what is going on?
49:11Now, I seen that brother that had
49:12received the Holy Ghost and he was
49:14sitting on the front row.
49:16He looked a little different than he did
49:18when he come in and got the Holy Ghost
49:19on that first Sunday morning. Had a
49:21suit, had a tie.
49:24Look like a good old apostolic man.
49:31And
49:32and I was standing there
49:33just getting frustrated. I was probably
49:35in the flesh a little bit.
49:37And I looked out at him sitting on that
49:39front row and I'm just telling you the
49:40thought that come through my mind.
49:42Here's what I thought to myself. Are you
49:43kidding me?
49:45If anybody
49:47ought TO BE PRAISING GOD,
49:49it's you.
49:52I remember I remember where you was 2
49:55months ago.
49:57I remember what your mama said that that
49:59you had overdosed and she went and
50:01picked out your casket and you're just
50:03going to sit there and not respond after
50:06all God has delivered YOU FROM AFTER THE
50:09ALCOHOL AND THE DRUGS THAT GOD HAS
50:11DELIVERED YOU AND I'M TELLING YOU
50:14Anybody ever had the Holy Ghost rebuke
50:16you?
50:17Y'all are all too spiritual. Okay.
50:20I had the Holy Ghost rebuke me so strong
50:23the moment that thought went through my
50:24head and here's what the Holy Ghost
50:26said, yes, he ought to be giving me
50:28praise because I delivered HIM FROM
50:31DRUGS, BUT HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU HOW MUCH
50:34MORE SHOULD YOU CLARK COPELAND BE GIVING

52:30I had a
52:31I had a very close
52:33very close friend of mine
52:35uh growing up, one of my best friends,
52:37and
52:38backslid today.
52:40But, I remember
52:42when he was right on the edge
52:45of backsliding and still coming to
52:47church.
52:48Went out to coffee one day and
52:50started talking with him.
52:53He said, "Clark
52:54I just don't
52:56I just don't feel what I used to feel,
52:58man."
53:00He said, "When I
53:02when I come to church, man, it used to
53:03be easy for me to
53:05feel the presence of the Lord.
53:07He said, "I just don't feel it the way
53:10that I used to feel it."
53:13Asked him, I said, "Well, man
53:16are you praying?"
53:17How simple is this? I know
53:19I know you wanted some big deal. Well,
53:21hey, you got the wrong guy.
53:23I said, "Are you praying?"
53:25He said, "Well
53:27not really."
53:29I said, "ARE YOU READING YOUR BIBLE?"
53:32He said
53:33"Been a while."
53:35And I said, "Well, bro
53:37how do you expect
53:39to feel what you want to feel when
53:41you're not doing the things
53:48>> [music]
53:59>> You know one thing that
54:02one thing that marriage counselors
54:05>> [snorts]
54:06>> will tell couples that
54:08say they have fallen out of love
54:11This is what they say.
54:12Don't just sit around
54:15and just wait for the feeling to come
54:17back.
54:19Don't don't don't allow yourself to get
54:22distance from your spouse and you learn
54:24how to live your own life and let this
54:25other spouse live their life and just
54:28think that one day you're going to re-
54:29Here's what they say to do.
54:31Continue [music]
54:32doing the things that you did when you
54:34were in love.
54:37Go on dates.
54:39Spend time together.
54:42Put your phone down.
54:44And after a season of time of doing the
54:48right thing without the feeling, the
54:51feeling will follow.

55:01that even even since this service has
55:03started, you're looking around and
55:05you're watching other people pray
55:08and you just don't feel
55:14what you wish you could feel. I want to
55:15ask you, are you praying?
55:18Are you Are you worshipping even when
55:20you don't feel like worshipping?
55:25I I
55:26I want to tell you one of the hardest
55:28seasons Clark Copeland ever went through
55:30in his life
55:32was the season
55:34when I could not feel God.
55:40Thank God, brother Wells, that I kept
55:42coming to church.
55:45And I learned how to
55:47I learned how to dig out a prayer life.
55:51Even whenever time I prayed, I did not
55:53feel him.
55:57One of the hardest tests, and I want
55:59somebody to hear me,
56:00that you will ever go through,
56:02is can you be faithful
56:05even when you cannot feel him?

56:28Bucky,

56:31>> he come over to the house, and
56:34I was sitting on the counter, right and
56:35didn't have my shoes on,
56:37socks, and just kind of

56:43I should have brought a
56:45picture of Bucky, or people from
56:46Beaufort I can tell you.
56:49At this time, Bucky,
56:51what is maybe 6'2, big, big man.
56:55And strong, been in construction.
56:58Come in that day, and
57:00just sitting there, and I'm thinking, he
57:01walks straight in,
57:03does not say a word, walks straight in
57:05the kitchen,
57:07and come up to me where my feet was
57:08dangling off that edge,
57:11and he reached out,
57:13and he grabbed the end of my foot,
57:16and Bucky started
57:18squeezing,
57:21and twisting,
57:23and pulling,
57:25and I'm like, "Bucky, what are you
57:27doing, man?"
57:29And
57:30he looked up at me,
57:33and asked me one of the craziest
57:34questions
57:35that I had ever heard in my life.
57:38He looked at me dead in my eyes and
57:39said, "Clark,
57:41do you feel that?"
57:45And I looked at him and said, "Well,
57:47Bucky, what do you What do you
57:49What do you mean, do I? Yeah.
57:51I CAN
57:52I FEEL THAT."
57:55AND HE SAID, "CLARK,
57:57take care of yourself.
58:00Do the right thing.
58:02Because if you don't,
58:04there's going to be a day that I'm going
58:06to twist, and I'm going to pull, and I'm
58:08going to prod. But if you don't do the
58:11right thing, no matter how much I pull,
58:14no matter how much I cut, no matter how
58:18No matter how much I try to get a
58:20response [music]
58:21out of you,
58:22if you LOSE YOUR FEELING, THERE'S
