- 0:20reading checking my twitter feed I shot
- 0:23Josh an email last night letting him
- 0:25know that he can rest easy that his
- 0:26title is secure for at least the next
- 0:28few days let me begin by saying that the
- 0:31president has been closely monitoring
- 0:32the severe weather in the southeast he
- 0:34spoke by phone with Governor deal of
- 0:36Georgia yesterday and offered his
- 0:38condolences and support today president
- 0:41Trump is focused on fulfilling his
- 0:42pledge to pursue trade policies that put
- 0:44America first the president began his
- 0:46day with a breakfast with key US
- 0:48business leaders where the focus of the
- 0:50discussion was on job creation and
- 0:52growing our manufacturing base business
- 0:55leaders who attended included Michael
- 0:56Dell the founder and CEO of Dell Jeff
- 0:59fettig the CEO of whirlpool marked
- 1:01fields the CEO of Ford Alex Gorsky the
- 1:04CEO of Johnson & Johnson marillyn Hewson
- 1:07the CEO of Lockheed Martin Klaus
- 1:10Kleinfeld the CEO of our connick Andrew
- 1:13Liveris the CEO of Dow Mario Longhi the
- 1:16CEO of u.s. steel Elon Musk a SpaceX and
- 1:19Tesla Kevin Plank of under armour mark
- 1:22sutton of international paper wendell
- 1:25weeks a CEO of corning chief of staff
- 1:27ranks previous chief strategist Steve

- 1:58have them meet on a quarterly basis as
- 2:00you know the president's vision is to
- 2:02negotiate fair trade deals that create
- 2:04jobs increase American wages and reduce
- 2:07Americans trade deficit he's appointed
- 2:10eight rough tough and smart number of
- 2:12trade experts
- 2:13who will fight on behalf of American
- 2:15workers with that vision in mind the
- 2:18president has already taken several
- 2:19steps today first he issued a
- 2:21presidential memorandum withdrawing the
- 2:24United States from the trans-pacific
- 2:25partnership TPP is a multilateral
- 2:28agreement that includes the United
- 2:30States and 11 other countries as the
- 2:32president has said many times this type
- 2:34of multinational agreement is not in our
- 2:36best interest and he's moving quickly to
- 2:39advance train policies that increase the
- 2:41competitive of the American worker and
- 2:43manufacturer this executive action
- 2:45ushers in a new era of us trade policy
- 2:48in which the trump administration will
- 2:49pursue bilateral trade opportunities
- 2:51with allies around the globe this is a
- 2:54strong signal that the trump
- 2:56administration wants free and fair trade
- 2:58throughout the world
