- 0:37food first. Do you like food?
- 0:40>> Yeah, actually I love food. Um because
- 0:42I'm a foodie person. Um recently I just
- 0:45um I has I have tasted like different
- 0:48kind of foods which is um located uh
- 0:52which is related to like um um chicken
- 0:55and also meat but I didn't taste a
- 0:58really fish fish food. Okay. What is
- 1:01your favorite food? Yeah, my favorite
- 1:03food uh food is like biryani which is
- 1:06like um most popular from uh on
- 1:08Bangladesh and it's uh I have recently
- 1:11tasted uh biryani on purand dhaka which
- 1:15is very tasty and I just enjoyed the
- 1:17full uh taste on the food like it was
- 1:22very amazing. Do you enjoy eating at
- 1:25home or in restaurants?
- 1:26>> Um I prefer to uh eating food at home.
- 1:31Have your eating habits changed in the
- 1:34recent year?
- 1:36>> Yeah, it's like a recent change because
- 1:38I have like started traveling from a
- 1:41long distance and it has changed my uh
- 1:44food diagram like uh when I was on home
- 1:47I just eated a lot of like heavy heavy
- 1:50calorie food but right now I'm like
- 1:53doing diet. So I just eating lighting
- 1:56light food which is like um rooty which
- 1:59is roti and so on.
- 2:01Do you enjoy trying foreign food?
- 2:04>> Yeah, I am quite excited because um my
- 2:08recent uh like experience would be like
- 2:11to go abroad and taste a different
- 2:14variant kind of food which is will be
- 2:16traditional or like um cultural food. It
- 2:20will be like very good for me to taste
- 2:22this kind of food.
- 2:23>> Okay. Now let's move on to another
- 2:25topic. I'd like to ask you something
- 2:27about television. So do you watch
- 2:29television? Yeah. Um not too much but I
- 2:32love to watch um uh historical TV
- 2:35television uh shows which is like for an
- 2:38ancient uh history like uh history TV 18
- 2:42which is conducted by the natur national
- 2:45geography channel and it's all about the
- 2:49ancient mommies that are like died
- 2:5230,000 years ago about their history. I
- 2:55just want to learn about the traditional
- 2:58history that they have um lived for what
- 3:00they do for the living and how they just
- 3:03died. Like I'm very excited with the
- 3:06history. Okay. Did you watch more
- 3:09television when you were a child? Yeah,
- 3:12it's it quite obvious because when I was
- 3:15a child like I was very addicted to like
- 3:18cartoon television shows which is like
- 3:20Tom and Jerry and it was giving me so
- 3:23much fun that I cannot like um if I
- 3:27don't see the cartoon all uh on the
- 3:29evening on the night on the morning I
- 3:31cannot like doing my fist like it's
- 3:34impossible for me. Do you think
- 3:36television is still popular?
- 3:38>> Um from right now generation like people
- 3:41are addicted to basically phones so they
- 3:45don't like uh watch on TV programs uh
- 3:49really but because uh right now the
- 3:51television programs are running on the
- 3:53Facebook and YouTube. So people do watch
- 3:56television but uh alternatively they're
- 3:58using phones not television.
- 4:01>> Okay. Now I'd like to ask you something
- 4:03about morning routine. So are you a
- 4:06morning person?
- 4:07>> Um uh honestly like uh I I doesn't uh
- 4:12woke up on the morning every day but
- 4:14recently I'm I have ambition for the
- 4:16isles program and right now I am like
- 4:19woke up on 6:30 a.m. on the morning and
- 4:22just uh for the night I just go for uh
- 4:2612:30 p.m.
- 4:28What do you usually do after you wake
- 4:30up? Yeah, the first thing will be like
- 4:33uh doing uh cleaning my face obviously
- 4:37and also I just love to eat some of uh
- 4:41light uh breakfast and yeah and so on.
- 4:45Then I just ready for the journey like
- 4:48going for the protein.
- 4:50>> Is your morning routine always the same?
- 4:54right now. Yeah, it's all uh I I'm
- 4:57trying to like do the same thing all the
- 4:59day because it is beneficial for my
- 5:01beneficial for my health and I'm seeing
- 5:04that waking up too much uh early on the
- 5:08morning gives me like um it's easy to
- 5:10memorize the work I do for the study
- 5:13like it's beneficial for my health.
- 5:16>> Would you rather like to be a night
- 5:18person?
- 5:20I have I am a very experienced person of
- 5:22the night because I just recently like
- 5:26uh still awake on the right night 4:00
- 5:29a.m. on the morning like which is called
- 5:31midnight. Uhhuh. Uh it's very like uh
- 5:35disadvantageous for me like it's like um
- 5:37hampering my health condition. So I just
- 5:40rather say that uh I don't like to uh
- 5:44woke up like like morning deep night
- 5:47morning. It's very like bad for my
- 5:48health.
- 5:49>> Okay, that's the end of the first part
- 5:50of the test. Now, I would give you a
- 5:52topic to talk about for 1 to two
- 5:54minutes. Before you start, you will have
- 5:561 minute to prepare some notes. Okay,
- 5:58>> so here is your pen and paper. You can
- 6:00take notes. And the topic I'd like to
- 6:02give you is describe a skill you would
- 6:05like to learn. Okay? Describe a skill
- 6:08you would like to learn. You should say
- 6:10what the skill is, why you want to learn
- 6:12it, how you would learn it, and explain
- 6:16how it could benefit you. Okay, you have
- 6:191 minute to prepare notes. So, you may
- 6:21start now.
- 6:31Remember, you have 1 to 2 minute for
- 6:33this. So, don't worry if I stop you. I
- 6:34will tell you when your time is up.
- 6:36Okay?
- 6:36>> You must start speaking now. Oh, like um
- 6:40I would like to talk about a skill which
- 6:42is like digital marketing. I just
- 6:44recently researched about this um survey
- 6:48which is not a survey like it's a job
- 6:50doing a work on online and digital
- 6:54marketing is one of the best I think
- 6:56because I just recently um learned about
- 6:59the marketing that which is like conduct
- 7:01by the home. A person do not go for
- 7:04outside can conduct a work by home which
- 7:06is very beneficial for her health and
- 7:08also is like efficient for the strategy
- 7:12doing the right now condition which is
- 7:14like ongoing generation right now people
- 7:17like do not want to go outside. So why
- 7:20like my thinking is that um why people
- 7:24like um passing their time on the house
- 7:28doing nothing would be better to do
- 7:30something on home like digital
- 7:32marketing. So I just uh learned about
- 7:34the skill of digital marketing which is
- 7:36like um uh I like I have found several
- 7:40of module like how to learn about the
- 7:43digital marketing. So um I guess I just
- 7:46found a specific course which is like
- 7:49conduct by the digital um digital IT
- 7:53sources which is like a module uh
- 7:56product by like a small amount of cost
- 8:00like I have to pay a uh a little amount
- 8:03of course for the courses to learn about
- 8:05the digital marketing. when I just
- 8:07started about the courses like it it is
- 8:10going well just I just imagine that it
- 8:13will be very like um easy to like gain
- 8:17the knowledge about how to how people
- 8:19can do a digital marketing. So
- 8:23my thinking is that that why people do
- 8:26not learn about the digital marketing
- 8:29because why not like people can do uh
- 8:33digital marketing on home like it will
- 8:35be like uh enough from them to like do a
- 8:38work on home.
- 8:40>> Okay. Thank you. That's the end of the
- 8:41second part of the test. Now I would
- 8:43like to ask you some follow-up question
- 8:45regarding the topic. So why do people
- 8:48continue learning new skill in your
- 8:50opinion?
- 8:51Like from my perspective I I I can tell
- 8:55about that people should learn about the
- 8:58new ski upcoming skills which is going
- 9:00on the social media on uh TV platform
- 9:04and also in the real life people are
- 9:08should be learn about the new skills for
- 9:11their upcoming work to do like if a
- 9:14person do not learn about the skills
- 9:17they don't like cannot live cannot live
- 9:21properly because it's it's going to be
- 9:24demand on the future for like our recent
- 9:28government like uh trying to do some of
- 9:31the several uh service to do people uh
- 9:34gain about like should schools teach
- 9:38practical skill. Um
- 9:42yeah sometimes some of the schools on um
- 9:45our uh located areas they just tell
- 9:48about uh like a digital marketing market
- 9:51ads and also how to generated web
- 9:55development courses like this will be
- 9:58that will be beneficial for them to do
- 10:01something work on for the future. So
- 10:04yeah, it's quite obvious like some
- 10:07schools or colleges do the um skill
- 10:10development program uh on the physical
- 10:13access program. Besides,
- 10:15>> is it easier to learn as a child? like
- 10:18it will be um quite difficult because a
- 10:21child is just um like learning about the
- 10:25spellings or the words. But for the um
- 10:29skills they should be learn like minor
- 10:33like not like a deeper skills program
- 10:37but it should be started by the lighter
- 10:39program like like how to start a web,
- 10:42how to go for the um like courses, how
- 10:45to do the work properly. it it will be
- 10:48beneficial for them. I think
- 10:50>> can people learn effectively online?
- 10:54Um
- 10:56I think I will be disagree with the this
- 10:59with this this subject because if a a
- 11:02child like spending a lots of days on
- 11:05online it will be like harmful for their
- 11:08health condition which will be like
- 11:10addicting them with the games or the
- 11:13other social media that they will not be
- 11:16like uh good for their health for also
- 11:18for the mentality like they will not go
- 11:20for the physical exercises and they're
- 11:23not like do the particular work they
- 11:26obviously just do without the social
- 11:28media like I rather say that um online
- 11:32is great but sometimes it will be very
- 11:34bad for them also for their health. What
- 11:37skills are important nowadays? like um
- 11:40from my uh opinion like
- 11:44um
- 11:45people should be learn about like um
- 11:49recent skills of um because I'm a
- 11:53commerce student I just think about the
- 11:56marketing way for me I just uh I just
- 11:59say about the doing digital marketing
- 12:01will be good for them for the upcoming
- 12:04generations and for the works and
- 12:06benefits and also um I would be like to
- 12:10say that like starting a um home job
- 12:14like a conference from the home should
- 12:17like gather some people who are not like
- 12:21do the work they should be like feeling
- 12:24attracted with the new upcoming skills
- 12:26so I think people should learn new
- 12:28skills
- 12:30>> all right that's the end of the test so
- 12:32how do you feel
- 12:33>> yeah I feel quite shy right now because
- 12:36it's my first mock
- 12:38And I'm very excited right now.
- 12:42>> Okay. So I do have some feedback for
- 12:45you. So you were u saying a lot of
- 12:49Bengali words in the first part like you
- 12:51said Rudy like why you know it's
- 12:53flatbread. So why would you mention Ry?
- 12:56And uh also you said historical TV like
- 13:01uh
- 13:02>> that's not an actual thing like you
- 13:04should have said historical content.
- 13:07>> Oh yeah. Sorry.
- 13:08>> So, uh you could have rephrased the
- 13:10things a little bit better like uh also
- 13:12there were some pronunciation issues as
- 13:14well like you didn't uh pronounce
- 13:17ancient properly. I think you said
- 13:19something like
- 13:20>> ancient.
- 13:21>> Ancient. Yeah.
- 13:22>> So, uh there were a lot of mistakes.
- 13:26You did make a lot of grammatical
- 13:28mistakes. Of course, I know that you
- 13:30know about this fact. Your grammar is
- 13:33somewhat poor in the reading writing as
- 13:35well. I've seen it in the class and uh
- 13:37apart from that you have also did try to
- 13:41use uh some features like phonetic
- 13:43features in your words like those were
- 13:45some good uh things you did um your
- 13:49phrasing was quite unclear in the second
- 13:51part when you were describing about the
- 13:53course material like where did you get
- 13:55the course from like I couldn't
- 13:57understand or catch up what you are
- 13:59trying to say so that was an issue and
- 14:02uh apart from that I would say that you
- 14:04did mostly Well, but uh you have a lot
- 14:08of room for improvement especially in
- 14:10the part three section like we have
- 14:12already moved on from the part two. The
- 14:14part two was about a skill you would
- 14:16like to learn and you said digital
- 14:18marketing but the part three was not
- 14:20about digital marketing. It was about
- 14:21general uh skill learning. So you were
- 14:25uh still you know mentioning uh digital
- 14:28marketing all the time like uh when I
- 14:29said uh is it easier to learn as a child
- 14:32like I was asking if a children uh can
- 14:36learn something easier compared to an
- 14:38adult but you were saying uh yeah
- 14:41children cannot learn digital marketing
- 14:43like that was not the question it's
- 14:44about whether child can learn to read
- 14:47and write these are also skills right so
- 14:50that was the thing not just digital
- 14:52marketing it's about all the skills in
- 14:55uh there was no particular skill uh
- 14:57indicated in those uh questions. So we
- 15:01have a lot of room for improvement. I
- 15:03guess uh inshallah you will do better in
- 15:06the next session. But for now I'm
- 15:09I'm really in a dilemma about giving you
- 15:13a score like I would have to give you
- 15:15from between 5.5 and uh six probably 5.5
- 15:20to six. That's going to be your range
- 15:22for now. Okay. So thank you [music]
