  1. 0:00Um, you know, that article was written
  2. 0:02in February and like I said, I still
  3. 0:04stand by what I said. I'll never go back
  4. 0:06on that.
  5. 0:07I think this is a great opportunity for
  6. 0:08the WNBA.
  7. 0:10You know, they preach diversity and
  8. 0:12being inclusive. So, what a great
  9. 0:13opportunity for them to actually be
  10. 0:15that. And so,
  11. 0:17we don't always have to agree. We can
  12. 0:18still be kind. We can still
  13. 0:20thrive and be successful in in the same
  14. 0:22area and I think that's what I'm going
  15. 0:23to do and that's what I have been doing.
  16. 0:26>> What do you make of these rallies that
  17. 0:28have been going on the last few games?
  18. 0:30>> Yeah, I have honestly have nothing to do
  19. 0:32with them. I think it's people just
  20. 0:34practicing their rights of you know,
  21. 0:35freedom of speech and and doing what
  22. 0:37other fans have been doing since the
  23. 0:39WNBA
  24. 0:40has started. And so, props to them.
  25. 0:42Props to to everyone who's able to be
  26. 0:44confident and be bold and courageous
  27. 0:46enough to to speak their truths.
  28. 0:48>> What is that truth?
  29. 0:50>> For who?
  30. 0:51>> Just
  31. 0:52what do you think that truth is when you
  32. 0:53say that you support them coming to this
  33. 0:56rally or creating these rallies? Like
  34. 0:58when you say you support them living
  35. 0:59their truth or speaking their truth,
  36. 1:01what do you what do you mean by that?
  37. 1:02>> I think it's different for everybody. I
  38. 1:03think your truth is different than my
  39. 1:05truth, which is different from hers,
  40. 1:06his, hers, you know, all that. And so,
  41. 1:09I think anytime people
  42. 1:11are bold enough and courageous enough to
  43. 1:13to stand by what they believe, I think
  44. 1:14that's awesome.
  45. 1:15>> So, Breanna, is there any fear that
  46. 1:16you're causing a distraction for the
  47. 1:17team?
  48. 1:19>> No.
  49. 1:20>> Why not?
  50. 1:21>> Because I think at the end of the day, I
  51. 1:23come in and I do my job. I think
  52. 1:25everyone who knows me personally, they
  53. 1:26know that I'm full of love. I'm bubbly.
  54. 1:30I love the people around me. I love
  55. 1:31basketball. I love inspiring the next
  56. 1:32generation and doing that in a positive
  57. 1:34light. And so, that doesn't even cross
  58. 1:37my mind. It doesn't cross my teammates'
  59. 1:39minds and
  60. 1:40again, I'm here to play basketball,
  61. 1:42but I'm also here to to be me and I'm
  62. 1:44not going to
  63. 1:46like shadow that or hide or
  64. 1:48you know, dim my light just because
  65. 1:50maybe people don't agree with that.
