  1. 0:01the start of July was a rough one for
  2. 0:03Bart and Christa halderson the month
  3. 0:05prior their youngest son 23-year-old
  4. 0:08Chandler had fallen down the stairs at
  5. 0:09night and sustained what was originally
  6. 0:11thought by the doctors to be a mild
  7. 0:13concussion and some bruising however it
  8. 0:15was later revealed that the fall had
  9. 0:17caused a spinal injury that resulted in
  10. 0:19severe nerve damage which made it
  11. 0:20difficult for him to walk and properly
  12. 0:22take care of himself not only that but
  13. 0:24the fall also resulted in a brain bleed
  14. 0:26and aneurysm which can only be remedied
  15. 0:28through surgical procedures this fall
  16. 0:30had been devastating for the whole
  17. 0:31family but no one more than Chandler who
  18. 0:33had just been offered a job in Florida
  19. 0:35at SpaceX he had been on the precipice
  20. 0:37of so many big things graduating college
  21. 0:40getting a new job moving to Florida with
  22. 0:42the love of his life and buying a home
  23. 0:43for himself but this one fall had
  24. 0:45changed all of that leaving him in a
  25. 0:47neck brace forcing him to sleep on the
  26. 0:49couch of his parents house until further
  27. 0:51notice Chandler's older brother michell
  28. 0:53had also been in the hospital for a
  29. 0:54period of time prior to Chandler's great
  30. 0:56fall and Christa had also just received
  31. 0:58news that she had skin cancer all of
  32. 1:00this was occurring while they were in
  33. 1:02the process of renovating their home
  34. 1:03themselves which tied up a good amount
  35. 1:05of their funds and left them in an
  36. 1:06uncomfortable financial position the
  37. 1:08couple was stressed beyond words and
  38. 1:10though they tried to keep it together it
  39. 1:11was clear that these stressors were just
  40. 1:13stacking up around them the final straw
  41. 1:15came July 1st in the form of Chandler
  42. 1:18breaking the glass in front of their
  43. 1:19parents' fireplace while playing with
  44. 1:21one of their two dogs it had been an
  45. 1:23accident but for Bert halderson it was a
  46. 1:25Breaking Point as he cleaned up after
  47. 1:26his son Bert spoke to his wife and made
  48. 1:28plans to make a much needed vacation
  49. 1:30just for the weekend they had already
  50. 1:32had tentative plans with another couple
  51. 1:34to car pull up to their cabin for the
  52. 1:364th of July but Bart had decided while
  53. 1:38sweeping up the glass and partially
  54. 1:40cutting himself that they should just go
  55. 1:41early play hookie from work on Friday
  56. 1:43and do something for themselves for once
  57. 1:45they were both incredibly punctual
  58. 1:47people well-liked at their jobs and
  59. 1:49Staples in their office environments so
  60. 1:51missing one day of work wouldn't hurt
  61. 1:52they deserved it after all with all the
  62. 1:54things they had been through over the
  63. 1:55past few months Chandler helped his
  64. 1:57parents pack up their things noting that
  65. 1:59they had unar istically decided to pack
  66. 2:01a hefty amount of alcohol and money but
  67. 2:03not wanting to fight with his dad after
  68. 2:04breaking the fireplace he kept his mouth
  69. 2:06shut his mother had been doting on him
  70. 2:08since the accident taking extra care to
  71. 2:10make sure all his needs were met day in
  72. 2:12and day out and he more than anyone
  73. 2:14thought she deserved some time away the
  74. 2:16next morning July 2nd by 6:00 a.m. they
  75. 2:19were gone Chandler woke up at 6:00 a.m.
  76. 2:21for work and found a note from his mom
  77. 2:23stating that if they need help while she
  78. 2:25was away he could call their nextd door
  79. 2:26neighbor who she had primed about his
  80. 2:28current situation he didn't hear from
  81. 2:30her until the 4th of July when she sent
  82. 2:32a text letting him know that he had
  83. 2:33arrived safely and would be going to a
  84. 2:35parade in town which was unusual seeing
  85. 2:37as she would often text him multiple
  86. 2:39times a day but again he thought nothing
  87. 2:41of it she was taking a break plus cell
  88. 2:42phone service could be spotty around
  89. 2:44their cabin unfortunately that would be
  90. 2:46the last message that was ever sent from
  91. 2:48Christa howson's phone because after
  92. 2:50that Christa and Bart were never heard
  93. 2:52from again they never returned from
  94. 2:54their trip to the cabin and in fact they
  95. 2:56had never even made it to the cabin at
  96. 2:57all and by the end of July their remains
  97. 2:59would be be found scattered around the
  98. 3:01state of Wisconsin leaving everyone
  99. 3:03asking the question what could possibly
  100. 3:04have happened to Bart and Christa that
  101. 3:06would lead to them being so brutally
  102. 3:07murdered and who was responsible welcome
  103. 3:09back to dreading brought to you by
  104. 3:11Fiverr today we are going to be going
  105. 3:12over the case of Bart and Christa Howers
  106. 3:15and what happened to them on 4th of July
  107. 3:16weekend 2021 this video will be multiple
  108. 3:19hours long and I have placed timestamps
  109. 3:21in the description below to help you
  110. 3:23navigate through this with that being
  111. 3:25said let us begin
  112. 3:32the Howers were like most families and
  113. 3:34that they were outstandingly normal they
  114. 3:35had their routines and their little
  115. 3:37quirks but for the most part they were
  116. 3:39the epitome of the people next door kind
  117. 3:41courteous and most importantly good Bart
  118. 3:44was the head of the house and worked as
  119. 3:46an accountant focused mainly on helping
  120. 3:48small businesses he worked incredibly
  121. 3:50hard to provide for his family and was
  122. 3:51extremely successful at what he did
  123. 3:54however by stark contrast he was also an
  124. 3:56insanely Frugal man choosing to take
  125. 3:58less in order to have more for the
  126. 4:00future his mind was always on the future
  127. 4:02paying for his kids schooling retirement
  128. 4:04Renovations and he knew if he planned
  129. 4:06everything accordingly he would be able
  130. 4:07to take care of his family for the rest
  131. 4:09of his life which is all he ever really
  132. 4:10wanted it was only recently that he
  133. 4:12decided to spend a little more time on
  134. 4:14himself and the family with him deciding
  135. 4:16it was high time to renovate their home
  136. 4:18but even in the renovations he was
  137. 4:19Frugal choosing to continue to live out
  138. 4:21of the house while it was being worked
  139. 4:22on and opting to do some of the work
  140. 4:24himself as he felt it was more
  141. 4:26costeffective Christa halderson was a
  142. 4:28much more Hands-On parent and and
  143. 4:29according to Mitchell could be
  144. 4:31classified as a helicopter mom she loved
  145. 4:33her sons and made it a point to be fully
  146. 4:35present in their lives as much as they
  147. 4:36would allow when Mitch and later
  148. 4:38Chandler had moved out of the family
  149. 4:39home to go to college Christa made it a
  150. 4:41point to keep in near constant
  151. 4:43communication with them texting them at
  152. 4:44least once a day asking to be kept up to
  153. 4:46date on what was going on in their lives
  154. 4:48and flooding their phones with pictures
  155. 4:50she had taken of their two dogs that was
  156. 4:52just the kind of person Christa was
  157. 4:54Christa seemed to care more than the
  158. 4:56average person and was constantly trying
  159. 4:58to find a way to make things better for
  160. 4:59the people around her in her job she was
  161. 5:01known to go above and beyond to help
  162. 5:03solve customer issues and her co-workers
  163. 5:05were often in awe of just how much she
  164. 5:07seemed to genuinely care even while
  165. 5:09working with people who were less than
  166. 5:11kind she was always in constant
  167. 5:12communication with the people she cared
  168. 5:14about family and otherwise her friends
  169. 5:16recalled how there was rarely a decision
  170. 5:18made in her life that they weren't aware
  171. 5:20of simply because she was so open with
  172. 5:22them if she was going to go to the store
  173. 5:24she would tell them if she was going to
  174. 5:25try any recipe out she would let them
  175. 5:27know and if she was going to travel they
  176. 5:29would be the first to hear about it
  177. 5:30Christa was a people person and a sharer
  178. 5:32and everyone who knew her never knew her
  179. 5:34to keep secrets Bart and Christa had two
  180. 5:36sons Mitchell and Chandler Mitchell was
  181. 5:3818 months older than Chandler at the
  182. 5:40time of his parents' disappearance he
  183. 5:41was living with his fiance in a house
  184. 5:43they had purchased together after
  185. 5:45graduating from college Mitch had gone
  186. 5:46on to an incredibly well-paying job in
  187. 5:49the tax sector and had begun planning
  188. 5:50the rest of his life with the woman he
  189. 5:52was engaged to he would see his family
  190. 5:54every now and then usually a couple
  191. 5:56times a month however he was in the
  192. 5:57midst of growing his own family so he
  193. 5:59wasn't his present in the family home in
  194. 6:01June of 2021 Mitch had gone in for a
  195. 6:04checkup with his doctor and was
  196. 6:05diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and
  197. 6:07immediately hospitalized because his
  198. 6:09sugar levels were too high while the
  199. 6:11doctors assured the family that he would
  200. 6:12be fine and he just needed to stay for a
  201. 6:14couple days at most Christa and Bart
  202. 6:16dropped everything and immediately set
  203. 6:18about making sure he was as well taken
  204. 6:20care of as could possibly be Christa
  205. 6:21stayed by his side through the entire
  206. 6:23ordeal taking Special Care not to let
  207. 6:25him see how worried she was so he
  208. 6:27wouldn't get upset even so Christa would
  209. 6:29have have to excuse herself in order to
  210. 6:31go outside and cry on the phone to her
  211. 6:33friends about how scared she was for her
  212. 6:34son their other son was Chandler unlike
  213. 6:36Mitchell Chandler still lived at home
  214. 6:38with his parents he had previously moved
  215. 6:40out his freshman year of college and
  216. 6:42lived in an apartment with some friends
  217. 6:43from high school however due to
  218. 6:45circumstances Beyond his control he was
  219. 6:47forced to move back in with them after
  220. 6:48about a year on his own something that
  221. 6:50he personally didn't like unlike when he
  222. 6:52was growing up his parents were charging
  223. 6:54him a small amount of rent to stay with
  224. 6:55them in the hopes that this small amount
  225. 6:57of pressure would help him move out
  226. 6:58quicker Chandler ALS also found the
  227. 7:00house to be stifling as his parents had
  228. 7:01rules for what he was and wasn't allowed
  229. 7:03to do he argued that since he was an
  230. 7:05adult he should be allowed to do more
  231. 7:07adult things however his father would
  232. 7:09rebut that saying he was living under
  233. 7:11his roof so he would have to follow his
  234. 7:12rules despite the slightly tense living
  235. 7:14situation Chandler had been recently
  236. 7:16doing exceedingly well for himself he
  237. 7:18was working remotely at an insurance
  238. 7:20firm called American family in a
  239. 7:22salaried position that gave him enough
  240. 7:24earning to move out within a few months
  241. 7:25he also volunteered with the Department
  242. 7:27of Natural Resources and the police in a
  243. 7:29search and rescue scuba team to help
  244. 7:31search for missing persons and bodies at
  245. 7:34the same time Chandler was taking
  246. 7:35courses at Madison Area Technical
  247. 7:37College focusing on it courses as well
  248. 7:40as a course in solar paneling and had
  249. 7:41just been hired to do work at SpaceX he
  250. 7:44had already started working there
  251. 7:45remotely but was planning to move down
  252. 7:47at the end of June however that all
  253. 7:48changed one night when he fell down the
  254. 7:50stairs trying to get to the bathroom
  255. 7:52despite his father only hearing a slight
  256. 7:54thud whilst in the other room this
  257. 7:56greatly impacted Chandler's life the
  258. 7:58initial diagnosis from the doctor doctor
  259. 7:59was that Chandler had a slight
  260. 8:01concussion and maybe some bruising of
  261. 8:02the ribs and neck however his health
  262. 8:04would rapidly decline he began to lose
  263. 8:06feeling in his legs could no longer
  264. 8:08stand up for long periods of time or
  265. 8:10lift anything that was more than 5 lbs
  266. 8:12upon further consultation Chandler would
  267. 8:15report that he had a brain aneurysm and
  268. 8:17a brain bleed that it was likely that he
  269. 8:19would become paralyzed from the nerve
  270. 8:21and spinal cord damage and that he would
  271. 8:22eventually be fitted with the colostomy
  272. 8:24bag because of this fall he lost
  273. 8:26everything he was fired from SpaceX
  274. 8:28after they found a plethora of errors in
  275. 8:30his work after his fall he could no
  276. 8:32longer focus on school because it caused
  277. 8:34his head to hurt and his job at American
  278. 8:35family was close to letting him go he
  279. 8:37was frustrated depressed and more than
  280. 8:39anything upset at what had become of his
  281. 8:41life it seemed like nothing could
  282. 8:42possibly get any worse that is until
  283. 8:44July
  284. 8:471st what's important to note is that
  285. 8:49everything I just told you about
  286. 8:51Chandler Howers is a lie a lie made and
  287. 8:53manufactured by Chandler himself
  288. 8:55Chandler had been a promising young man
  289. 8:57at some point in his life he graduated
  290. 8:58high school he went off to college moved
  291. 9:00out of his parents home and into an
  292. 9:02apartment with some friends then
  293. 9:03promptly failed out of college moved out
  294. 9:05of set apartment and moved back in with
  295. 9:07his parents and while that is a reality
  296. 9:09for most young adults figuring out their
  297. 9:11way in the world Chandler saw that as an
  298. 9:12unacceptable failure his brother had
  299. 9:14purchased and moved into his own home by
  300. 9:16the time Chandler was moving back in
  301. 9:18with his parents he was working at a
  302. 9:19tech firm proposing to his longtime
  303. 9:21girlfriend and Chandler was jobless and
  304. 9:24being told by his parents he wasn't
  305. 9:25allowed to hang out with his girlfriend
  306. 9:27past his curfew he was left feeling
  307. 9:28degrader been shamed like his parents
  308. 9:30thought less of him and like the World
  309. 9:32At Large was judging him negatively
  310. 9:33especially in comparison to his older
  311. 9:35brother and so he began to make up lies
  312. 9:37the first lie was that he was still in
  313. 9:39college he had failed out of MATC a year
  314. 9:42prior but he told his friends girlfriend
  315. 9:44and family that he was still attending
  316. 9:45classes online and doing incredibly well
  317. 9:47he would make fake online course
  318. 9:49schedules tell his girlfriend that he
  319. 9:51couldn't hang out during set days and
  320. 9:52hours as he was in class and in some
  321. 9:54cases fake entire school projects in
  322. 9:56order to convince them that he was
  323. 9:58really taking these intense computer
  324. 9:59courses as time went on this lie would
  325. 10:01only get bigger with him approaching a
  326. 10:03graduation date that he would never have
  327. 10:05and when his father asked to see his
  328. 10:07transcripts for tax purposes it became
  329. 10:09even more of a problem a problem that
  330. 10:11Chandler felt that he could solve again
  331. 10:13through lying using his home computer
  332. 10:15Chandler made an email account for a
  333. 10:17college adviser named Daniel spy from
  334. 10:18this account Chandler as spy sent emails
  335. 10:21to his personal email account asking how
  336. 10:23he could help and letting him know that
  337. 10:25they're rebuilding their entire system
  338. 10:26and that's why he is having technical
  339. 10:28issues Chandler then would respond to
  340. 10:30spy talking about the issues he was
  341. 10:32having getting a hold of the transcripts
  342. 10:34how this treatment was unacceptable and
  343. 10:36unprofessional and wanting to meet in
  344. 10:38person to discuss this and gain access
  345. 10:39to them when Bart would then ask
  346. 10:41Chandler about the transcripts and why
  347. 10:43he was unable to provide them Chandler
  348. 10:44would show him the emails back and forth
  349. 10:46to himself validating that it was some
  350. 10:48sort of system error with the college
  351. 10:50and that he was fine Bart wasn't
  352. 10:51satisfied with that answer though and
  353. 10:53asked Chandler to be led into the email
  354. 10:55chain that way he could Advocate on his
  355. 10:56son's behalf and Chandler realizing that
  356. 10:58he didn't have a reason not to do so
  357. 11:00added his father into the email exchange
  358. 11:02after a bit of back and forth Bart set
  359. 11:04up a meeting with spy via Zoom a meeting
  360. 11:06that obviously could never happen
  361. 11:08because spy was Chandler the day of the
  362. 11:10call spy cancelled stating that a family
  363. 11:12member had contracted Corona virus and
  364. 11:14that he couldn't meet with him until
  365. 11:15further notice this annoyed Bart called
  366. 11:18spy out for his unprofessional behavior
  367. 11:20and demanded to meet with someone in the
  368. 11:21department even if it wasn't spy at a
  369. 11:23certain point realizing his dad was
  370. 11:25close to going down to the offices
  371. 11:27himself Chandler bought a burner phone
  372. 11:29and gave Bart the number saying it was
  373. 11:31his office line they talked for a while
  374. 11:32with Bart asking the same questions
  375. 11:34demanding a meeting and more and at the
  376. 11:36end of the call Bart sent an email to
  377. 11:37his wife stating that spy sounded a lot
  378. 11:40like Chandler at this point over a year
  379. 11:42had passed with Chandler talking to his
  380. 11:44dad as a fake school counselor and Bart
  381. 11:46was clearly losing his patience he once
  382. 11:48again threatened to go down to the
  383. 11:50school himself to speak to someone if he
  384. 11:52couldn't get a meeting on the books so
  385. 11:54Chandler made up a new character Alyssa
  386. 11:56Brandt also known as Alysa Brandt as
  387. 11:58Chandler would misspell her name from
  388. 12:00email to email Chandler made a new email
  389. 12:02for Alyssa and began speaking to Bart
  390. 12:04from that account as well Alyssa served
  391. 12:06as a goet and Away mainly used for
  392. 12:08scheduling meetings that would never
  393. 12:10happen Chandler began emailing his
  394. 12:12father as Alyssa and Daniel telling him
  395. 12:14that they want to work everything out
  396. 12:16with him but due to the pandemic a lot
  397. 12:18of things are in disarray that they
  398. 12:19realize how aggravating this is and that
  399. 12:22they want to help him and Chandler as
  400. 12:24himself this time would respond scolding
  401. 12:27the administration telling them they
  402. 12:28were deeply unprofessional and that he
  403. 12:30demanded more to be done after a while
  404. 12:32sensing that Bart was once again close
  405. 12:34to going to the school and talking to
  406. 12:36them in person Chandler made a third
  407. 12:38email account this time for a man named
  408. 12:40Aaron Hoover who served the same purpose
  409. 12:42as Daniel spy he then began to lie to
  410. 12:44his friends and family about being a
  411. 12:46rescue diver for the Department of
  412. 12:48Natural Resources in the Madison area
  413. 12:50Police Department he did know how to
  414. 12:52Scoopa dive as his uncle had taught him
  415. 12:54previously and was a rescue diver
  416. 12:56however neither the DNR or Madison area
  417. 12:58police Department had a rescue diver
  418. 13:00team nor would they ever use volunteers
  419. 13:02for that kind of position however
  420. 13:04according to Chandler's lies that was a
  421. 13:06volunteer position and with his father
  422. 13:08telling him to pay rent to continue
  423. 13:09living there Chandler made up a new lie
  424. 13:11this time being that he worked for an
  425. 13:13insurance company called American Life
  426. 13:16oddly enough this would mirror what his
  427. 13:17brother was doing in his own career
  428. 13:19working it for a company that was paying
  429. 13:21him well enough to buy a home and start
  430. 13:23a family Chandler went on to brag about
  431. 13:25this position talking about how much
  432. 13:27they were paying him how his position is
  433. 13:28Sal and how he could work from home and
  434. 13:30more Chandler was dedicated to his lifee
  435. 13:33and put in an actual effort to make it
  436. 13:35appear as if he was in fact working
  437. 13:37every morning he'd wake up at 600 and
  438. 13:39proceed to start his fake job he would
  439. 13:41hop on Virtual meetings discuss the
  440. 13:43day's work with his managers and sitting
  441. 13:45about doing what they required of him he
  442. 13:47also informed his girlfriend that he was
  443. 13:48working so During certain times of the
  444. 13:50day they couldn't hang out and he would
  445. 13:52remain unavailable to her so with
  446. 13:53Chandler going the extra mile every day
  447. 13:55at 6:00 a.m. Chandler would talk to
  448. 13:57people about programming and Technical
  449. 13:59problems but these weren't his employers
  450. 14:01these were friends he made while gaming
  451. 14:03friends who were comfortable pretending
  452. 14:04to be his co-workers while his parents
  453. 14:06were with an earshot of him he would
  454. 14:08then spend the entire day in his room
  455. 14:10gaming with them while his family
  456. 14:11thought he was actively working but fake
  457. 14:13jobs don't pay and Bart was telling
  458. 14:15Chandler that he needed to get a job to
  459. 14:17pay rent which he still could not do so
  460. 14:19he began to lie as to why he had no
  461. 14:20money despite having a well-paying job
  462. 14:23they messed up my payroll he would say
  463. 14:25they put me in as working hourly when I
  464. 14:27am a salaried position so HR needs to
  465. 14:29fix this before I can get my check that
  466. 14:31worked for a couple weeks before it
  467. 14:33became I messed up the direct deposit
  468. 14:35form and put in the wrong bank account
  469. 14:36information so it has to bounce back and
  470. 14:39then they have to try to redeposit it
  471. 14:40after a month or so on that lie Chandler
  472. 14:42then stated that they had finally sorted
  473. 14:44it out but the deposit was so big at
  474. 14:46that point the bank thought it was
  475. 14:47fraudulent and blocked the deposit Bart
  476. 14:50being an accountant knew what Chandler
  477. 14:52was saying wasn't making any sense and
  478. 14:54pushed him on it however despite his
  479. 14:55misgivings he didn't want to believe
  480. 14:57that his son was waking up at 6:00 a.m.
  481. 14:59am every day pretending to be in
  482. 15:00meetings faking work-related tasks he
  483. 15:02needed to do making fake emails to
  484. 15:04pretend like what he was saying was true
  485. 15:06and lying to his face about it he didn't
  486. 15:08think anyone much less his son would be
  487. 15:10that dedicated to a lie as time went on
  488. 15:13he kept telling his friends and family
  489. 15:15about the money issues he was having it
  490. 15:17became clear that they were getting fed
  491. 15:18up with the situation and so he too
  492. 15:20appeared to be fed up he began to speak
  493. 15:22disparagingly of a job that he had
  494. 15:24previously said was amazing poorly run
  495. 15:26they are unprofessional he couldn't
  496. 15:28stand it there but he needed to stay on
  497. 15:30until the money situation was settled
  498. 15:31the moment they had got him the money he
  499. 15:33would be quitting and in fact he was
  500. 15:35already looking for another job a job
  501. 15:37that was more attuned to his wants in
  502. 15:38life enter SpaceX Chandler began telling
  503. 15:41people that he had applied on a whim to
  504. 15:43work for SpaceX and they had responded
  505. 15:45impressed with his resume he had gotten
  506. 15:47multiple interviews with different
  507. 15:48recruiters all of which told him the
  508. 15:50same thing that he would be an amazing
  509. 15:52recruit and that they would love to have
  510. 15:53him on board for over a month he told
  511. 15:55his girlfriend about the different
  512. 15:56interviews tests an email that he had
  513. 15:59had to do in order to apply to the
  514. 16:00program until he finally told her that
  515. 16:02he got the job and that he would be
  516. 16:04moving to Florida at the end of June he
  517. 16:06gave her dates told her to put down a
  518. 16:08payment on an apartment already and told
  519. 16:10her that he would fly out to see her
  520. 16:11every weekend and eventually she would
  521. 16:13move in with him they had even sent him
  522. 16:14some work to do remotely work that he
  523. 16:16would be paid for unlike an American
  524. 16:18family this for all intensive purposes
  525. 16:21was Chandler's way out he had lied about
  526. 16:23so much to his parents about the
  527. 16:24transcripts the job the diving the
  528. 16:26school if he could just find a way to
  529. 16:28move out but by the time he was supposed
  530. 16:29to go train for SpaceX everything would
  531. 16:32be fine all his problems all the lies he
  532. 16:34could let them go and start fresh but he
  533. 16:37hadn't been offered a job he never even
  534. 16:39applied for one by this time so many
  535. 16:41lies had been built up on each other
  536. 16:43that if one was even exposed a little
  537. 16:44bit they all would be and then almost
  538. 16:47like divine intervention his brother
  539. 16:48ends up in the hospital his brother with
  540. 16:50his home and his money was now being
  541. 16:52doed on intended to by their parents
  542. 16:54without complaint his mother had dropped
  543. 16:56everything in order to take care of him
  544. 16:57and it seemed like everying sing Le
  545. 16:59responsibility Mitch had was gone his
  546. 17:01parents no longer cared about how much
  547. 17:02money he was making or what he was going
  548. 17:04to do with his life they just wanted him
  549. 17:06to get better and they'd wait on him
  550. 17:07hand and foot until that
  551. 17:12happened after his brother had gotten
  552. 17:14out of the hospital with a clean bill of
  553. 17:15health Chandler decided that this was
  554. 17:17going to be his way out he knew he
  555. 17:19couldn't pretend to have diabetes or
  556. 17:21anything that could medically be tested
  557. 17:23for so after a little bit of research he
  558. 17:25opted to a fake concussion while
  559. 17:26concussions are serious and alarmingly
  560. 17:28common there is no medical test that
  561. 17:31conclusively determines if a person has
  562. 17:33one and they require an amount of
  563. 17:34self-reporting of course there are signs
  564. 17:36that one might be concussed however the
  565. 17:39signs are not outward meaning that they
  566. 17:40can only be felt not seen doctors have
  567. 17:43to go by what their patients are saying
  568. 17:44they feel and hope their patient is
  569. 17:46being honest if a patient comes in and
  570. 17:48states that they hit their head they are
  571. 17:50feeling dizzy and laded and they are
  572. 17:51having a hard time focusing sense
  573. 17:54chances are they will be diagnosed as
  574. 17:55having a concussion so on a night where
  575. 17:58Chandler was alone with his dad in the
  576. 17:59house he fell down the stairs the extent
  577. 18:01of his fall is unknown Bart described
  578. 18:03hearing a loud thump despite how
  579. 18:05devastating and hard Chandler would
  580. 18:07claim his fall would be he stayed at the
  581. 18:08bottom of the stairs until his dad came
  582. 18:10out and told him that he had fallen down
  583. 18:12the flight of stairs and hit his head
  584. 18:14immediately Bart drove him to the
  585. 18:15emergency room all the while Chandler
  586. 18:17complained of rib and head pain that was
  587. 18:19incredibly severe the doctor checked him
  588. 18:21for any sign of head trauma gave him
  589. 18:23some scans and concluded that at most he
  590. 18:26had a mild concussion but nothing too
  591. 18:28serious all of their tests and x-rays
  592. 18:30came back showing no physical trauma and
  593. 18:32he explained to Chandler that he
  594. 18:33probably wouldn't need anything stronger
  595. 18:34than an over-the-counter pain reliever
  596. 18:36to deal with the pain after some further
  597. 18:38theatrics from Chandler the doctor
  598. 18:40relented and gave him a neck brace
  599. 18:42stating that it wasn't necessary but
  600. 18:44might help with any pain he was in this
  601. 18:46was not the response he was looking for
  602. 18:47and so over the coming days Chandler
  603. 18:50started embellishing his injuries he
  604. 18:51told his family that the doctor had told
  605. 18:53him that he needed to wear the neck
  606. 18:55brace at all times and refused to take
  607. 18:57it off even when they went out for din
  608. 18:59on Father's Day he started complaining
  609. 19:00about his legs stating that he could
  610. 19:02barely feel them and that carrying
  611. 19:04anything was too difficult for him to
  612. 19:05manage he explained that he had
  613. 19:07difficulty with the lights in the house
  614. 19:08and his mother had to bring most of his
  615. 19:10stuff down to the lower level living
  616. 19:11room so he could sit in almost complete
  617. 19:13darkness during the day he also stated
  618. 19:15that he was now suffering from severe
  619. 19:17migraines that were so difficult he
  620. 19:18would black out and eventually he said
  621. 19:20that he went back to the hospital for
  622. 19:22another appointment and was told that he
  623. 19:23would eventually become disabled due to
  624. 19:25the severe nerve damage in his back the
  625. 19:27list of things he stated was wrong with
  626. 19:29him was vast and all factually
  627. 19:31inaccurate Chandler was fine and had
  628. 19:33always been fine he just needed his
  629. 19:35family his girlfriend and his friends to
  630. 19:37think he wasn't fine so they would stop
  631. 19:39asking questions and stop expecting him
  632. 19:41to do things he didn't want to do things
  633. 19:43like working and taking care of
  634. 19:47himself unfortunately his fake head
  635. 19:50injury didn't turn out the way he
  636. 19:52thought it would despite telling his
  637. 19:53father that he would most likely no
  638. 19:55longer be able to live on his own that
  639. 19:56he would become paraplegic and that he
  640. 19:58needed invasive head surgery his father
  641. 20:00was still emailing MATC and American
  642. 20:03life trying to figure out what was going
  643. 20:05on with Chandler's transcripts and
  644. 20:07Chandler's paychecks he was still being
  645. 20:09asked for specifics and Chandler was
  646. 20:11having a harder time coming up with
  647. 20:13answers if anything his injury did the
  648. 20:15opposite of what he thought it would do
  649. 20:16with his dad even more invested in
  650. 20:18getting things sorted out for his son
  651. 20:20luckily he could pretend to have a
  652. 20:21headache and need to lie down whenever
  653. 20:23he was asked about a hard question but
  654. 20:25he knew that he can only do that for so
  655. 20:26long he needed a new out and so he began
  656. 20:28working on his girlfriend cat's mother
  657. 20:30Dolce Dolce and Chandler had become
  658. 20:32close over the years and she already
  659. 20:34knew him as her son-in-law when he told
  660. 20:36her that he had been hired to work for
  661. 20:38SpaceX she took him out to lunch to
  662. 20:40celebrate and he would often tell her
  663. 20:42that he felt closer to her than his own
  664. 20:43parents as time went on Chandler slowly
  665. 20:46started poisoning Dolce towards his
  666. 20:48family he would tell her that his
  667. 20:49parents didn't want cat to come over and
  668. 20:51that she wasn't welcome in the house
  669. 20:52anymore for some unknown reason he would
  670. 20:54tell them that his parents were too
  671. 20:56strict with him and that they didn't
  672. 20:57care about him he was slowly and
  673. 20:59methodically priming her to pity him and
  674. 21:01want to take him out of such a harsh
  675. 21:03situation and it was working over time
  676. 21:05Dolce started expressing how little she
  677. 21:07cared for his family and how she didn't
  678. 21:09like the way they treated him she
  679. 21:11encouraged him to move out get his own
  680. 21:12place and he reminded her that he
  681. 21:14couldn't do that because his job was
  682. 21:16keeping money from him what he really
  683. 21:17wanted was for her of her own valtion to
  684. 21:19ask him to move into her home he wanted
  685. 21:21her to offer her home to him so he
  686. 21:24wouldn't look like a dead beat in her or
  687. 21:26her daughter's eyes as Chandler was
  688. 21:27working on Bart decided he was going to
  689. 21:30take matters into his own hands he had
  690. 21:32been trying to talk to someone in charge
  691. 21:33at Chandler's college for over a year at
  692. 21:35this point and he was fed up and now
  693. 21:37that Chandler was too injured to take
  694. 21:38care of himself Bart decided to call
  695. 21:41MATC for him on June 29th Bart called
  696. 21:44the college pretending to be Chandler
  697. 21:46and spoke over the phone with the
  698. 21:47representative Omar job the contents of
  699. 21:50this phone call are public and I will
  700. 21:52link the YouTube video with them in the
  701. 21:53description box down below but for
  702. 21:55brevity we won't play them here on this
  703. 21:57call Bart Des crib the year of back and
  704. 22:00forth how the school has been refusing
  705. 22:01to give him the transcript and how
  706. 22:03frustrating it's been only for Omar to
  707. 22:05inform him that Chandler hadn't been
  708. 22:07enrolled in classes for a while that the
  709. 22:09job he had at American Life the job
  710. 22:11Chandler said he got via an internship
  711. 22:13from the college didn't even exist and
  712. 22:16that absolutely no one by the name of
  713. 22:18Daniel spaith Alyssa Brandt or Aaron
  714. 22:20Hoover had ever worked here the entire
  715. 22:22phone call is 15 minutes in length and
  716. 22:24you hear Bart slowly realize how many
  717. 22:26lies his son had been telling him and
  718. 22:28how far he had gone to lie almost
  719. 22:30everything Chandler had told him over
  720. 22:31the past year had been false and all
  721. 22:34this was done in an effort to play video
  722. 22:36games and avoid any responsibility and
  723. 22:38so Bart texted his son I spoke to Omar
  724. 22:41job letting his son know that he had
  725. 22:42spoke to the school for the first time
  726. 22:44on his Zone he then stated he had set up
  727. 22:46a campus meeting with him in Chandler
  728. 22:48for July 1st at 300 p.m. one where he
  729. 22:50knew that Chandler's lies would be
  730. 22:52revealed in their entirety July 1st at
  731. 22:542:10 p.m. he texted Chandler I'm ready
  732. 22:57when you are and minutes later he was
  733. 23:02dead what happened from that point on is
  734. 23:04unknown Chandler hasn't given his side
  735. 23:06of the story he has never made a public
  736. 23:08statement about the killings at all and
  737. 23:10all we have is a basic speculation from
  738. 23:12the evidence available to us because
  739. 23:14Chandler was feigning a severe head
  740. 23:16injury and and told his peers that he
  741. 23:18couldn't drive because of it it is
  742. 23:20assumed that Bart drove home to pick
  743. 23:22Chandler up and at some point while
  744. 23:23inside the home Chandler shot his father
  745. 23:26multiple times in the back with a gun he
  746. 23:27got from a friend online about a year
  747. 23:29prior it is unknown how many times Bart
  748. 23:32was shot how quickly he died or if
  749. 23:34anything else was done to him prior to
  750. 23:35his death we only know that he was shot
  751. 23:37and died sometime after 300 p.m. after
  752. 23:40he had killed his father Chandler texted
  753. 23:42his mother who was at work stating that
  754. 23:43Bart's phone had died and to bring home
  755. 23:45some soda for him Christa responded K
  756. 23:48with a smiley face on her neighbor's
  757. 23:50security camera she was seen entering
  758. 23:52the home after which she is never seen
  759. 23:54again how Christa died is unknown and it
  760. 23:56will become apparent why as we continue
  761. 23:58continue with both his parents dead
  762. 24:00Chandler set out to hide what he had
  763. 24:02done in his mind the only way he was
  764. 24:04going to get away with this is if his
  765. 24:06parents were made to look like they
  766. 24:07willingly disappeared they were stressed
  767. 24:09about everything going on and they had
  768. 24:11left that morning with a bunch of liquor
  769. 24:12and cash and were never heard from again
  770. 24:14he had previously told his girlfriend
  771. 24:16that his parents were planning to be
  772. 24:17away for the weekend already so he
  773. 24:19changed the story a bit to account for
  774. 24:21the extra day when his mom's work
  775. 24:23contacted him because they didn't know
  776. 24:24where she was and she had never missed
  777. 24:26work he let them know that she left
  778. 24:28early that morning with some friends and
  779. 24:29left a note telling him that if he
  780. 24:31needed anything to call the neighbor
  781. 24:33ironically that note was written by his
  782. 24:34mom a few days earlier because she had
  783. 24:36to go to work and was worried about his
  784. 24:38ability to take care of himself with his
  785. 24:40fictitious injuries but he still had the
  786. 24:42bodies and needed to get rid of them but
  787. 24:44burying them or disposing of them could
  788. 24:46lead to their later Discovery and them
  789. 24:49finding out their actual time of death
  790. 24:51it would be best he thought if he could
  791. 24:52simply make the bodies disappear Without
  792. 24:54a Trace and so he decided to try to burn
  793. 24:56them destroying his parents completely
  794. 24:58he began cutting up the bodies using
  795. 25:00everything that was available to him in
  796. 25:02the house a pair of common household
  797. 25:04scissors a handsaw and an AXS were all
  798. 25:07used at various points after cutting up
  799. 25:09the remains as best he could he started
  800. 25:11a fire in the home's fireplace hoping
  801. 25:13that it could burn their bodies fully
  802. 25:15however the average fireplace is not
  803. 25:17capable of completely incinerating the
  804. 25:18human body especially fatty areas in the
  805. 25:21thicker parts of the bones the extreme
  806. 25:23temperature needed to incinerate a human
  807. 25:25completely is not something that any
  808. 25:27fireplace could manage while making it
  809. 25:29safe to use in the average household
  810. 25:31this left Chandler with a problem a
  811. 25:32problem he tried to solve using Google
  812. 25:35Chandler looked up how to make fire
  813. 25:36stronger and found that by introducing
  814. 25:38more oxygen into the fire it would burn
  815. 25:40faster this was a method used in
  816. 25:42crematoriums in machines specifically
  817. 25:45engineered to do just this but Chandler
  818. 25:47thought he could replicate it easily at
  819. 25:48home he got a box fan from somewhere in
  820. 25:51the house and pointed it towards the
  821. 25:52fireplace that was burning the heads of
  822. 25:54his mother and father and the fire
  823. 25:56quickly outgrew the fireplace break
  824. 25:58breaking open one of the glass panels
  825. 26:00and causing the paint over the panels to
  826. 26:02bubble and burst the slight explosion
  827. 26:04resulted in Chandler's big toe being cut
  828. 26:06by hot glass at which point he decided
  829. 26:08that burning his parents wasn't working
  830. 26:10the explosion was also caught on the
  831. 26:12security footage from a neighbor who
  832. 26:14happened to have their cameras facing
  833. 26:16the house that night after bandaging his
  834. 26:18toe stopping the fire and cleaning up
  835. 26:19the glass Chandler started coming up
  836. 26:21with a new plan he seemed to realize
  837. 26:23that what he was doing wasn't working at
  838. 26:25all and that completely destroying the
  839. 26:27remains in his family fireplace was a
  840. 26:29bad idea but he still had to deal with
  841. 26:31the remains of his parents in order to
  842. 26:33give himself a bit more time Chandler
  843. 26:35sanss the neck brace drove himself to
  844. 26:37the quicki Mart near his house and got a
  845. 26:39couple of pounds of ice so that he could
  846. 26:41place the remains of his parents in the
  847. 26:43basement freezer until he was able to
  848. 26:44think of a better plan that all took
  849. 26:46place between the evening of July 1st
  850. 26:48and the morning of July 2nd all the
  851. 26:50while Chandler was texting his
  852. 26:51girlfriend Chandler hadn't been able to
  853. 26:53see his girlfriend for 2 weeks they had
  854. 26:55made plans to hang out during the
  855. 26:56holiday weekend because Bart and Christa
  856. 26:58had been planning on celebrating at the
  857. 27:00cabin without him the original plan was
  858. 27:02that cat was going to come over spend
  859. 27:04the entire weekend at the helders home
  860. 27:06hanging out and taking care of Chandler
  861. 27:08however due to the horrific murder he
  862. 27:09had committed within the home Chandler
  863. 27:11quickly changed their plans he told cat
  864. 27:13that his parents left him with a long
  865. 27:15list of chores that he needed to
  866. 27:17complete before their return these
  867. 27:18chores involve deep cleaning of certain
  868. 27:20surfaces fixing the fireplace and more
  869. 27:23he told her that she could still come
  870. 27:24over after work with dinner and to have
  871. 27:26sex with him but now she couldn't stay
  872. 27:28the night because of the Hefty amount of
  873. 27:30chores they had given him and wanted him
  874. 27:32to do before the weekend this struck cat
  875. 27:34as odd especially since she could have
  876. 27:36helped with the chores but nonetheless
  877. 27:38she obliged before she came to the home
  878. 27:40he had her pick up some more cleaning
  879. 27:41supplies and hydrogen peroxide
  880. 27:43explaining that the night before he had
  881. 27:45cut his foot open and was bleeding
  882. 27:46throughout the home when cat eventually
  883. 27:48arrived at the home equipped with food
  884. 27:50and the cleaning supplies she noticed
  885. 27:51that there was a smoky smell throughout
  886. 27:53the house once again Chandler had a
  887. 27:55perfectly reasonable explanation for it
  888. 27:56he said that while playing with the the
  889. 27:58other night they had accidentally broken
  890. 28:00open the fireplace which caused the
  891. 28:01smoke smell to fill the home fireplace
  892. 28:03being broken as well as the cut on his
  893. 28:05foot coincided with his story so cat
  894. 28:08thought nothing of it she ended up
  895. 28:09sleeping over despite Chandler's wishes
  896. 28:12in the same room as the fireplace where
  897. 28:13Chandler had burnt his parents' bodies
  898. 28:15but she didn't stay long because the
  899. 28:17next day at 6:55 a.m. she ended up
  900. 28:19leaving the home at Chandler's
  901. 28:20insistance again he made it clear that
  902. 28:22he needed to spend some time that day
  903. 28:24doing chores around the house and wanted
  904. 28:26to get them done before the weekend so
  905. 28:27he could spend spend more time with her
  906. 28:28and her family however as we know
  907. 28:31Chandler didn't have chores he had to
  908. 28:32clean the entire crime scene and dispose
  909. 28:34of his parents' dead bodies July 3rd 2
  910. 28:37days after killing his parents after
  911. 28:39sleeping in the same room where he had
  912. 28:40burnt their heads in the fireplace with
  913. 28:42his girlfriend Chandler decided that he
  914. 28:43was going to start scattering his
  915. 28:45parents' remains all around Wisconsin he
  916. 28:47drove himself outside the town of
  917. 28:49rocksbury and deposited parts of his
  918. 28:51mother's body around the banks of Lake
  919. 28:52Wisconsin it's also believed he
  920. 28:54deposited some of her body within the
  921. 28:56lake itself despite telling his
  922. 28:57girlfriend and he would be at home doing
  923. 28:59chores while on Snapchat she noticed his
  924. 29:01location was at Lake Wisconsin which she
  925. 29:04thought was odd she screenshoted the
  926. 29:06location and asked him why he was out by
  927. 29:08the lake he stated that he was passing
  928. 29:10through on the way to pick up some CBD
  929. 29:11and he didn't want to tell her about it
  930. 29:13because he thought she would be
  931. 29:14disappointed in him after depositing a
  932. 29:16portion of the remains Chandler went
  933. 29:18back home to continue cleaning up the
  934. 29:19crime scene and then visited cat once
  935. 29:21more this time at her mom's home where
  936. 29:23they watched TV he went home after a
  937. 29:25couple of hours stating that he was
  938. 29:27exhausted physically from the chores and
  939. 29:29needed to take care of the dogs cat
  940. 29:31notably stayed with her mom the next day
  941. 29:33was 4th of July at this time it's widely
  942. 29:35believed that Chandler had dumped the
  943. 29:36majority of his mother's remains into
  944. 29:38Lake Wisconsin but still had his
  945. 29:39father's partial remains in the home
  946. 29:41specifically in his basement's chest
  947. 29:43freezer however it was imperative that
  948. 29:45he had an alibi for the weekend in order
  949. 29:48to escape suspicion when he eventually
  950. 29:50reported his parents missing he made
  951. 29:51plans to spend the day with cat and her
  952. 29:53family at her mother's partner's farm
  953. 29:55this Farm was located in Cottage Grove
  954. 29:57and is a a spacious 40 acre property and
  955. 30:00backed up into a forest Chandler had
  956. 30:01spent some time with Cat at this Farm
  957. 30:03beforehand however on this day while
  958. 30:06walking with cat he realized that the
  959. 30:07forest that surrounded the home would be
  960. 30:09perfect for disposing of what was left
  961. 30:11of his father as they spent the day with
  962. 30:13cat's family chanler spoke to Crest
  963. 30:15cat's mother's girlfriend and talked
  964. 30:17about how his physical health had been
  965. 30:18deteriorating since his fall he
  966. 30:20explained to her that he was losing
  967. 30:22mobility in his legs and soon would have
  968. 30:24to undergo head surgery in order to live
  969. 30:26and that he was in a bad place mentally
  970. 30:28he told her that he felt that he could
  971. 30:29probably benefit physically by using her
  972. 30:31pool that was located on the property
  973. 30:33and if this would be okay for him to
  974. 30:34come back sometimes and use it Crest
  975. 30:36being the primary caretaker of her
  976. 30:38elderly father and her brother and
  977. 30:40knowing how difficult someone's physical
  978. 30:42deterioration can be said sure and
  979. 30:44provided him with her cell phone and a
  980. 30:46landline number that way he could call
  981. 30:48before coming over at the end of the
  982. 30:50night Chandler and Cat drove back to his
  983. 30:52house where they once again spent the
  984. 30:53night the next day was Monday July 5th
  985. 30:56the day that Chandler had stated that
  986. 30:57his parents were likely to return so cat
  987. 30:59left that morning Chandler knowing that
  988. 31:01he needed to get rid of the last of his
  989. 31:03father's remains called Crest to ask if
  990. 31:05he could go over and use her pool
  991. 31:07however he wasn't able to reach her so
  992. 31:08he drove up by himself and waited
  993. 31:10outside until she came out he had
  994. 31:11explained that he had just gotten bad
  995. 31:13news from his doctor and his health was
  996. 31:14in much worse shape than they previously
  997. 31:16had thought he asked if he could go to
  998. 31:18use her pool in order to get his mind
  999. 31:19off of things and she agreed he however
1000. 31:22didn't go to the pool after a bit cat's
1001. 31:24mother came around to make sure Chandler
1002. 31:26was okay the couple went out to the pool
1003. 31:27pool only to find the pool cover still
1004. 31:29on top of it and Chandler was nowhere to
1005. 31:31be seen however they did spot his car
1006. 31:33closer to the shed at the edge of the
1007. 31:35property by the forest the car had its
1008. 31:37hatch up as if it was being loaded but
1009. 31:39as they drove over to the car they saw
1010. 31:41no one in sight Chandler wasn't by the
  1011. 31:43car he wasn't responding when they
1012. 31:44called for him and so they made the
1013. 31:46choice to go back to the pool and swim
1014. 31:48themselves after about an hour and a
1015. 31:50half Chandler reappeared coming out of
1016. 31:52the forest line and walking back towards
1017. 31:54the pool Dolce and cres informed him
1018. 31:56that they were using the pool and that
1019. 31:58Crest at the time was topless he asked
1020. 32:00if he could come anyways which they both
1021. 32:02thought was inappropriate however he
1022. 32:04entered the pool washing his arms off
1023. 32:06and looking out into the middle distance
1024. 32:08both Crest and Dolce thought he was
1025. 32:09behaving strange with Dolce accusing him
1026. 32:12of taking some sort of drug Chandler
1027. 32:14denied this and repeated the news about
1028. 32:16his own failing health and how he was
1029. 32:18exhausted after a bit in the pool he
1030. 32:19left and drove himself back home
1031. 32:21Chandler had successfully discarded his
1032. 32:23parents' body over the holiday weekend
1033. 32:25and as far as he knew he was in the
1034. 32:27clear he had avoided any obvious
1035. 32:29detection and all he had to do was wait
1036. 32:31until other people became concerned as
1037. 32:33far as he knew the hardest part was
1038. 32:48over the same Monday where Chandler
  1039. 32:50showed up at cresta's Farm Christa's
1040. 32:52co-workers once again reached out to
1041. 32:54Chandler asking if he had any idea where
1042. 32:56his mother was Christa was one of their
1043. 32:58best employees she had never missed a
1044. 33:00day of work without letting someone know
1045. 33:01and she was not the type to miss days to
1046. 33:03go on an impromptu vacation Chandler
1047. 33:06responded that they would probably be
1048. 33:08back later that night and not to worry
1049. 33:10however they were incredibly worried the
1050. 33:12next morning Tuesday the 6th Christa was
1051. 33:14missing from work again and they again
1052. 33:16reached out to Chandler to try and see
1053. 33:18if he had seen them Chandler responded
1054. 33:20that he hadn't been able to contact them
1055. 33:21since Sunday and that he was beginning
1056. 33:23to worry now their phones were now going
1057. 33:25directly to voicemail and he was now
1058. 33:27nervous that something had happened
  1059. 33:28however it wasn't until Wednesday the
1060. 33:307th when Chandler was made aware that
  1061. 33:32his mother missed a doctor's appointment
1062. 33:34having to do with her cancer and
1063. 33:35Chandler made his way into the police
  1064. 33:37department to file a missing person's
1065. 33:39report he told the police exactly what
1066. 33:41we had stated at the beginning of this
1067. 33:42video his parents decided on Thursday
1068. 33:44night after he had broken the fireplace
1069. 33:46to make a spontaneous trip to their
1070. 33:48cabin with an unnamed couple Chandler
1071. 33:50had helped them pack and noticed that
  1072. 33:52they brought $4,000 with them and a
1073. 33:54hefty amount of alcohol by the time he
1074. 33:56had woken up the next morning at 6:00
1075. 33:58a.m. his parents were gone leaving a
1076. 34:00note of phone numbers in case he needed
1077. 34:01help after filing the police report
1078. 34:03Chandler was asked to appear on multiple
1079. 34:05news broadcast to try and see if anyone
1080. 34:08in the area had seen them that weekend
1081. 34:10however Chandler asked not to be shown
1082. 34:12on camera B and Christa halderson of
1083. 34:15Windsor had plans for the fourth their
1084. 34:17plans were going up with their friends
1085. 34:19and do some minor repairs on our cabin
1086. 34:21that cabin is some 3 hours away from
  1087. 34:23Windsor on a lake in a small community
1088. 34:26in langlade County County did you
1089. 34:28literally see them pulling out of the
1090. 34:30driveway heading out no their son
1091. 34:32Chandler halderson who asked to be off
1092. 34:35camera says whoever his parents were
1093. 34:37traveling with from this neighborhood
1094. 34:40were to do the driving he says he
1095. 34:43received a text from his mother she got
1096. 34:45back to me on Sunday said they made it
  1097. 34:49safely that's the last he's heard from
1098. 34:51his parents the sheriff said it looked
1099. 34:54like there wasn't anyone home family in
1100. 34:58friends hope the halderson unexpected
1101. 35:00extended time away is just that and not
  1102. 35:03a sign they're in trouble that all I
1103. 35:06would really want to ask you is just if
1104. 35:08there's any information that you feel
1105. 35:10like you know would be worthwhile for us
1106. 35:12to share anything that you feel like is
1107. 35:14is important for us to share just
1108. 35:15anything anything like that of that
1109. 35:18nature um so my last uh message I got
1110. 35:22from them they were going to White Lake
  1111. 35:24for the 4th of July there's some
1112. 35:26festivities that go around there
1113. 35:28you know better drink prices at the bars
1114. 35:30stuff like that for um yeah White Lake
1115. 35:33Wisconsin mhm um other than that their
1116. 35:38plan or from to my knowledge they were
1117. 35:40going to langlade County to a cabin uh
  1118. 35:43their cabin
1119. 35:45um along the way they could have stopped
  1120. 35:48many places I wouldn't know all of
  1121. 35:52them but it's about 3 hours north of
  1122. 35:55Madison or Dan County
1123. 35:59and they left then a week ago today on
1124. 36:03the first Friday morning so that would
1125. 36:05have been the second right of July when
  1126. 36:08they left and that's the last you'd
1127. 36:10heard of them yes it is and then was it
  1128. 36:13yesterday that you called the sheriff's
1129. 36:14office or someone with your family
1130. 36:15called the Sheriff's Office just to go
1131. 36:18back on that I actually um got a text
1132. 36:20from them on Sunday telling me they were
  1133. 36:22going to White Lake okay I don't know
1134. 36:23when the text was sent because of
1135. 36:25reception issues that they would have
1136. 36:27and they usually turn their phone off
1137. 36:29because of pay for roaming yeah um we
1138. 36:33they it could have been whenever they
1139. 36:35sent that message that they made it
1140. 36:37safely and they're going to White Lake
1141. 36:38for the fourth okay so yeah so it was
1142. 36:41probably the last couple days that you
1143. 36:43started to get nervous then um is there
1144. 36:46PE you know we see comments people say
1145. 36:48you know are they up north is the self
1146. 36:51service bad you know could they you know
1147. 36:53just not be able to get a hold of is
1148. 36:55there anything that you feel like it is
1149. 36:57kind of going on here that leads you to
  1150. 36:59be a little bit more nervous that that's
1151. 37:01not the case um my aunt went up there
1152. 37:04and was able to call me at the at while
1153. 37:07she was at the cabin okay so she was
  1154. 37:09able to call me I don't know what
1155. 37:11provider she's using mhm but US Cellular
1156. 37:15would take up most of Wisconsin so like
1157. 37:18they'd be able to call today M because
1158. 37:20this weekend it was packed I I get that
  1159. 37:23packed maybe the weather wasn't great
1160. 37:25for messaging MH yeah so mhm who knows
1161. 37:29and then the other thing I wanted to ask
1162. 37:31you about was the at a lot of the
1163. 37:34comments people were concerned or kind
1164. 37:37of wanted some clarification about the
1165. 37:39vehicle right because the reports from
  1166. 37:42the Sheriff's Office say they they
  1167. 37:43didn't have a car or there wasn't a car
1168. 37:46with them they brought or they were
1169. 37:48picked up by their friends okay who I
1170. 37:51never got the name of and I I assumed it
1171. 37:54was someone I was aware of like the
1172. 37:56close name neighbors of theirs up the
1173. 37:58street or um their best friends down on
  1174. 38:01the east side so that's what I assumed I
1175. 38:04never really asked any further in it
1176. 38:06into it and so they got picked up and
1177. 38:09they all went up there by like another
1178. 38:11couple picked up here yeah here at my
1179. 38:13house okay before I woke up they they
1180. 38:16had everything packed up and and do you
  1181. 38:19you don't know who they're who jeez
1182. 38:22that's uh I mean that that has happened
1183. 38:24before where they just kind of head out
1184. 38:27before leave or I wake up you know I'm
  1185. 38:29heavy sleeper MH I I'm on a schedule I
1186. 38:32wake up at 6:00 to feed the dogs and
1187. 38:34they were out before 6:00 M beat the the
1188. 38:36rush to get to the
1189. 38:38North so Chandler despite not appearing
1190. 38:41on camera seemed in High Spirits he
1191. 38:43stated that he felt as if his parents
1192. 38:45would be found alive and well his theory
1193. 38:47was that maybe they had just stopped off
1194. 38:49at a casino on their way back home and
1195. 38:51time got away from them maybe they had
1196. 38:53such fun over the weekend that they were
1197. 38:55trying to keep the party going as the
1198. 38:56police began to look into this case and
1199. 38:58everything that Chandler had told them
1200. 39:00they quickly realized that something
1201. 39:01wasn't adding up Chandler was adamant
1202. 39:03that his parents packed alcohol however
  1203. 39:05all of Christa and Bart's friends
  1204. 39:07maintained that they weren't big
1205. 39:08Drinkers and never kept hard liquor in
1206. 39:10the house he was certain that he saw his
1207. 39:12father pack upwards of four grand in the
1208. 39:14suitcase before going to the cabin but
1209. 39:16according to everyone who knows him Bart
1210. 39:18was an intensely Frugal man who never
1211. 39:20spent money on Flights of Fancy and none
1212. 39:22of their friends had ever seen them go
1213. 39:23into a casino and the idea that they
1214. 39:25would spend money or time there seemed
1215. 39:27at landish and when asked for the name
1216. 39:29of the couple that Bart and Christa had
1217. 39:31gone up to the cabin with Chandler had
  1218. 39:33no clue he hadn't seen them he hadn't
1219. 39:35spoken to them and his parents the
  1220. 39:36intense planners that they were didn't
1221. 39:38let him know the police then contacted
  1222. 39:41Christa and Bart's extended family
  1223. 39:42including Bart's brother who he had
1224. 39:44spoken with on July 1st before his death
1225. 39:47they asked him a plethora of questions
1226. 39:49about the last time he had spoken to
1227. 39:50Bart and explained the story that they
1228. 39:52had been told regarding their
1229. 39:54disappearance and told them how little
1230. 39:55it made sense when he went on to
1231. 39:57Facebook that day to share a missing
1232. 39:59person's flyer that had been published
1233. 40:00by the police he made sure to comment
1234. 40:03how little it made sense to him and how
1235. 40:04absolutely out of character it was for
  1236. 40:06his brother and sister-in-law to
1237. 40:07disappear like this the cops canvased
1238. 40:10the neighborhood asking the Howers
1239. 40:11neighbors if they had seen anything
1240. 40:13suspicious or if they had security
1241. 40:15cameras most of their neighbors did and
1242. 40:17they were able to catch the last known
1243. 40:18movements of Bart and Christa on July
1244. 40:201st when they returned home and never
1245. 40:22left it was quickly determined that the
  1246. 40:24last portion of Chandler's story was a
1247. 40:27lie but as they continued looking into
1248. 40:28him more and more was exposed by July
1249. 40:318th the cops had become more suspicious
1250. 40:33of Chandler and the police presence
1251. 40:34outside of the Howers home increased
1252. 40:36they knew that most of his story was
1253. 40:38false at this point but they didn't have
  1254. 40:40anything incredibly concrete Chandler
1255. 40:42noticing the increased police presence
1256. 40:44began to panic he called the police
1257. 40:46asking if something had been found and
1258. 40:48if there was a reason for the large
1259. 40:49amount of police outside of his home um
1260. 40:52a little confused uh I got two squads
  1261. 40:55parked right outside my house they're
  1262. 40:57not really canvasing they're just kind
1263. 40:59of sitting there is everything all right
  1264. 41:03yeah I mean they're in the area doing
  1265. 41:05canvasing and they're also uh probably
1266. 41:08doing a shift change right now getting
  1267. 41:09our second shift crew on around 3: 3:30
  1268. 41:12oh there's four
1269. 41:17now something going on that we need to
  1270. 41:20know well they're probably doing reports
  1271. 41:23they're probably doing shift
1272. 41:24change you know they they've been going
1273. 41:26around trying to get old to neighbors so
1274. 41:28I'm wondering if they're in the area
1275. 41:30trying to catch people now that they're
  1276. 41:32coming home from work I'm not sure I
1277. 41:34haven't talked to any of them in just a
  1278. 41:35little
1279. 41:38while all right well any
  1280. 41:41news my brother I haven't heard from him
1281. 41:44no as far as I know they're still on
1282. 41:46their way up North couple hour drives so
1283. 41:48he's probably halfway into it
  1284. 41:51right uh yeah I suppose about
1285. 41:55yeah any news on your end at all have
1286. 41:58you gotten any phone calls text messages
1287. 42:01gotten any messages other than from
  1288. 42:02concerned parents um I can't there's no
  1289. 42:06mail uh I got a there's a hold on my
1290. 42:13mail okay uh is that is that
1291. 42:16normal are you guys getting it at least
  1292. 42:19no we we don't put a hold on people's
1293. 42:21mail I've never heard of that happening
  1294. 42:24before there's a hold on my mail there's
1295. 42:26a ticket in there all mail held at the
  1296. 42:28station is what it
1297. 42:30says okay yeah nothing done by us that's
1298. 42:33for sure I'm need my medical bills yeah
  1299. 42:38no we wouldn't put a hold on people's
1300. 42:39mail and typically only the people that
1301. 42:41live at the address can do
1302. 42:43that did your parents put a hold on the
1303. 42:46mail does it say who put the hold on the
1304. 42:49mail I go check suppose okay um do you
  1305. 42:56know of any
  1306. 43:02anything so I don't know it's kind of
  1307. 43:07stressful sorry so there's nothing new
  1308. 43:10going on not that I'm aware
1309. 43:12of all right yeah who who's there are
1310. 43:16you at home still right now obviously
  1311. 43:18cuz you're saying they're outside who's
  1312. 43:19there with
1313. 43:20you yeah no not they're not with me
1314. 43:22they're just four squads just parked
1315. 43:25outside okay who is was just talking in
1316. 43:27the background cat yeah cat's over with
  1317. 43:30me oh
  1318. 43:32okay okay no I mean I can definitely
1319. 43:35give you a call or message you I guess
1320. 43:38depending what time are you plan on
  1321. 43:39going to
1322. 43:41dinner I'm not sure but okay pretty soon
1323. 43:45here is it cool to call you what that is
1324. 43:48it cool to call you while you're dinner
1325. 43:50okay anytime okay well I'll keep you
  1326. 43:53posted if I hear anything I mean
1327. 43:54obviously with the mail that has nothing
1328. 43:56to do with us at all I've never heard of
1329. 43:58a detective or law enforcement agency
1330. 44:00holding somebody's mail um you know and
1331. 44:03then as far as everybody in the area you
1332. 44:05know you kind of had to figure we were
1333. 44:07going to be in the area all day
1334. 44:09today yeah I was just wondering why
1335. 44:11there were four cars instead of the
  1336. 44:13canvas
1337. 44:14thing yeah um oh any news about that
1338. 44:18that blue house with the big
  1339. 44:20[Music]
1340. 44:21cameras the blue house with the big
1341. 44:23cameras is that the one across the
1342. 44:25street yeah across the street kind of in
  1343. 44:28the corner it's a newer house um I
1344. 44:30haven't talked to by their house yeah I
  1345. 44:34have a detective that's getting footage
  1346. 44:36from the area I don't know exactly which
1347. 44:38houses he's gotten video from but yeah
1348. 44:42downloaded all of it and already have it
1349. 44:44at it oh okay so he's probably reviewing
  1350. 44:47it
1351. 44:48now okay yeah it takes time to go
1352. 44:50through those things you figure you can
  1353. 44:52only fast forward so
1354. 44:54much yeah all right okay all right well
1355. 44:57I'll give you a holler if anything pops
1356. 44:59up um you know and I'll give a call
1357. 45:01around and just kind of get a briefing
1358. 45:03from people up in the
1359. 45:04area yeah I appreciate that okay thanks
  1360. 45:08Chandler thank you
1361. 45:11bye at this time Chandler was also
1362. 45:13searching for The Following on Google
  1363. 45:15body found Wisconsin women's body found
1364. 45:18in Wisconsin Wisconsin dismembered body
1365. 45:20found dead body found in Wisconsin body
  1366. 45:23found in Milwaukee River 2021 B and
1367. 45:25Christa shortly after the searches he
1368. 45:27was brought in along with his girlfriend
  1369. 45:29to undergo a more thorough interrogation
1370. 45:31while he was being brought in a separate
1371. 45:33search was underway at cress's farm and
1372. 45:35the dismembered torso of Bart Howers was
1373. 45:37found with a bullet wound in his
1374. 45:41back we will now be going over the
1375. 45:43interrogation of Chandler howson that
1376. 45:45took place on July 8th prior to this
  1377. 45:47interview his father's remains had been
1378. 45:49found on the property owned by his
1379. 45:51girlfriend's mother and her partner and
1380. 45:53he had been seen on this property in the
1381. 45:55exact area that the Torso was found
1382. 45:56Chandler was completely unaware of this
1383. 45:58at the time of the
1384. 46:15interview Chandler gets up to stretch
  1385. 46:18and moves around there's no indication
1386. 46:20of any leg injury or numbness and his
1387. 46:22range of motion is fluid
1388. 46:31hey Chand how are you doing good good
1389. 46:34good what you guys s resp yeah
  1390. 46:37there
  1391. 46:41yeah
1392. 46:48water what's going on the police ask
1393. 46:51Chandler to switch seats with him which
1394. 46:53is done to subconsciously establish
1395. 46:54dominance and let Chandler know that
1396. 46:56they are in charge the other officer
1397. 46:58goes behind him and places a water
1398. 47:00bottle for Chandler at the edge of the
1399. 47:01table and purposely positions himself
1400. 47:03between Chandler and the door in order
  1401. 47:05to further establish that Chandler isn't
1402. 47:07free to leave even though at this time
  1403. 47:09he
1404. 47:10is all right um so we're just going to
1405. 47:12talk to a little bit more okay
1406. 47:22um all right just so you know I'm going
1407. 47:24to record stuff okay just helps and

1436. 48:32to hire a lawyer one will be appointed
1437. 48:34to represent you at public expense
1438. 48:36before during any questioning if you so
1439. 48:38wish if you decide to answer questions
1440. 48:40now without a lawyer present you have
1441. 48:42the right to stop the question and
1442. 48:43remain silent at any time you wish and

1463. 49:40used against you in a court of law you
1464. 49:42have the right to consult with a lawyer
1465. 49:43before questioning and to have a lawyer

1468. 49:49will be appointed to represent you at
1469. 49:51public expense before or during any

  1493. 50:53building yeah yeah I think it's mixed in
1494. 50:55with the city pa okay but nonetheless
1495. 50:59that came and and spoke to you okay
1496. 51:02Chandler's posture changes when he
1497. 51:03corrects the interrogator because he
1498. 51:05feels as if he has the upper hand and is
1499. 51:07now more comfortable Chandler feels as
1500. 51:09if despite the situation he is in now he
1501. 51:11will be able to get away with this by
  1502. 51:13remembering insignificant details like
1503. 51:15this and being able to further establish
  1504. 51:17his story
1505. 51:19um so you you reported your parents
1506. 51:21missing we got some information from me
  1507. 51:24yesterday um we've been following leads
1508. 51:26last night um working today to you know
1509. 51:29go through different things um just
1510. 51:31trying to locate them right um so I I
1511. 51:35guess if you want to start
1512. 51:37with let's just go back to to last
  1513. 51:42Wednesday uh
  1514. 51:44Wednesday I was with my
1515. 51:47Dad we what time Wednesday I remember it
1516. 51:51it was kind of a bad day okay why was it
  1517. 51:55a bad day uh
1518. 51:57um well my mom had work so she was gone
1519. 52:01um my dad and I were watching something
1520. 52:05over lunch it was uh The Wheel of
1521. 52:08Fortune and we have we normally have the
1522. 52:12couch like with our back facing our the
1523. 52:14table we sat at at the end of you coming
1524. 52:17downstairs or Upstairs Downstairs in
1525. 52:19that room with the TV I toss the
  1526. 52:23ball and I smashed the glass
1527. 52:27okay with the dog the dog St uh that
1528. 52:32yeah set my dad off and we tried to
  1529. 52:35clean it
  1530. 52:38up I don't know about him but I got
1531. 52:41injured um but he was mad he didn't
1532. 52:46really talk to me too much that
1533. 52:49day uh my mom got home at 5: I believe
  1534. 52:54I that's her normal
  1535. 52:575:20 to
1536. 52:595:30 what time does she work do you know
1537. 53:027:30 is when she leaves I don't know her
1538. 53:04hours but I know when she leaves at
  1539. 53:077:30 and
1540. 53:09then all the way up till 5: and she she
  1541. 53:12comes home 520
  1542. 53:155:30 did she come home about 520 5:30
1543. 53:19that day I believe so yeah okay
1544. 53:26so you guys are are downstairs um just
1545. 53:29to to touch back in that quick so the
1546. 53:31couch so yesterday when we were down in
1547. 53:33your basement the couches were in a bed
1548. 53:37I he helped me put them in a bed before
1549. 53:40yeah on Thursday but they put it into a
1550. 53:43bed so I could sleep near the bathroom
1551. 53:45and the dogs sleep in that floor so okay
  1552. 53:49there they'll be a lot better if they're
1553. 53:51sleeping on that floor downstairs floor
1554. 53:53yeah just cooler for them or something
1555. 53:57probably okay all right so you were
1556. 54:00tossing a ball what type of ball was
1557. 54:02it this gross hairy tennis ball that
1558. 54:06Rizzo loves Chandler was said to have a
1559. 54:08pretty severe concussion be sensitive to
1560. 54:10light and said to have been fired from
1561. 54:12SpaceX because he was making a bevy of
1562. 54:14mistakes in his cating however when
1563. 54:16asked about the details of the weekend
1564. 54:17he was able to recall everything he said
1565. 54:19and did at the drop of a hat the cops
1566. 54:21who talk to everyone in Chandler's life
1567. 54:23were no doubt aware of the lies he was
1568. 54:25telling about his health however they
1569. 54:27never bring up his recollection in this
1570. 54:29interview and how it goes counter to the
1571. 54:30poor health he said he was in as to not
1572. 54:33inform him that what he was doing is
1573. 54:34suspicious in fact they ask even more
1574. 54:37minute details like what kind of ball
1575. 54:38did Chandler throw that broke the
1576. 54:40fireplace they will continue to question
1577. 54:42Chandler and ask for more insignificant
1578. 54:44details for the express purpose of
1579. 54:46getting him as comfortable as possible
1580. 54:48until they can pull the rug out from
1581. 54:49under him just like a green tennis ball
1582. 54:51like a normal yeah okay with the
  1583. 54:54squeaker not not like a tennis rord B
1584. 54:57but they don't chew my dog chews those
1585. 54:59out of the any tennis ball they just
1586. 55:01chew the squeakers out and then they
1587. 55:02don't play with them anymore um all
1588. 55:04right so you was tossing that around um
1589. 55:06broke the fireplace glass uh you said
1590. 55:09you were injured what type of injury did
1591. 55:11I got a pretty deep hole in my foot uh
1592. 55:14last night Mary looked at it and she
1593. 55:16said the reason it keeps bleeding is cuz
1594. 55:18there's glass in it oh that's the you
1595. 55:20showed us your to yeah I showed the
  1596. 55:22detective
  1597. 55:24Le yeah
  1598. 55:27okay yeah
1599. 55:29so that one it could be infected is what
1600. 55:33she's thinking but neopor has been
1601. 55:35helping okay good um keeping it clean
  1602. 55:39and
  1603. 55:40stuff the best you can I I know how I
1604. 55:43guess yeah um okay once I oh Wednesday
1605. 55:48back to Wednesday once I got all the
1606. 55:49glass out of the dog's hair um she
1607. 55:53didn't sustain any injuries good
1608. 55:56nothing even on her nose she got it with
  1609. 55:59her shoulder bone I
  1610. 56:01believe
1611. 56:05um so glass do that was roughly around
1612. 56:11two and then the rest he didn't really
1613. 56:14talk to me I went back to
1614. 56:17doing like a job search kind of just
  1615. 56:22[ __ ] my day away just g games
  1616. 56:25YouTube
1617. 56:28uh that's when I came across one of the
1618. 56:30jobs I liked um then 5:00 rolled up by
1619. 56:34and we mom came home um
1620. 56:39dinner what do you guys have Wednesday
  1621. 56:41night I couldn't tell you
  1622. 56:45okay who made
1623. 56:47it I think it was probably just stuff
  1624. 56:50from the fridge I don't I think we all
1625. 56:53did our own thing again sure
1626. 56:58by the way a detective at my house said
1627. 57:00Something's Happened and while we were
1628. 57:03leaving people were going inside is
  1629. 57:05there a warrant for my
1630. 57:07house should there be no I'm just
1631. 57:10wondering if Okay can as far as I know
1632. 57:14they were at your house and they were
1633. 57:15going to be there talking to you to ask
1634. 57:19if you would come up here and talk to us
  1635. 57:21but um officer
1636. 57:24Haley just like walk pretty much in to
1637. 57:27the gate you know the gate on the
  1638. 57:29outside she's kind of locked in I was I
1639. 57:31was wondering was that when you were
1640. 57:33getting your wall uh no we were we were
1641. 57:36um I was in the car waiting to leave I
  1642. 57:39was just wondering if everything's okay
  1643. 57:41cuz she said Something's Happened okay
1644. 57:44and we need to go down all right I'll
1645. 57:47find out what that's about well has
1646. 57:49anything bad happened um not sure all
1647. 57:53right so so Wednesday night mom comes
1648. 57:55home um Dad was angry was was he yelling
1649. 57:59or what was how how would you describe
  1650. 58:01dad being angry it
1651. 58:04was if you he would yell if you said
1652. 58:08something to him I guess if you talk to
1653. 58:10him if you give him his space he'll be
1654. 58:14okay so Wednesday night Wednesday if you
1655. 58:19just that's all we did just give him his
1656. 58:22space he he won't yell or do anything
  1657. 58:25okay
1658. 58:27that's all we had to do um we just m and
1659. 58:30I went to clean uh do some
  1660. 58:34laundry uh make our
1661. 58:38beds stuff like that who is we M Night
  1662. 58:43your mom
1663. 58:46okay that was Wednesday night yeah and
1664. 58:50we had an early night no no TV that
  1665. 58:53night gotta um
1666. 58:57what time did your parents go to bed
1667. 58:59Wednesday night do you think I was in
  1668. 59:01bed at 8 you were yeah
  1669. 59:06okay yeah
1670. 59:11um I couldn't tell you when they went to
1671. 59:13bed okay no worries and you were
  1672. 59:17downstairs that's where you've been
1673. 59:18sleeping you told me last night I was in
1674. 59:20my room Wednesday upstairs okay
1675. 59:29gotcha so in the bedroom
1676. 59:32upstairs and then you you slept
1677. 59:36downstairs why have you been sleeping
1678. 59:38downstairs again you told me last
  1679. 59:39bathroom the bathroom's right there I
  1680. 59:41need to be close the stairs I I can't
1681. 59:43see too well in the dark
1682. 59:48so gotcha and just like last night I'm
1683. 59:51jotting some noes quit you know it
1684. 59:52doesn't mean one thing is more important
1685. 59:54than the other it just means that I need
1686. 59:55to remember stuff in right understand
1687. 59:59gotta all right so did you sleep with
1688. 1:00:02your door closed that night or open oh
1689. 1:00:03yeah I always have they closed closed
  1690. 1:00:05door yeah makes
  1691. 1:00:07sense I feeling they argued a little bit
1692. 1:00:10after parents dead what were they
  1693. 1:00:12arguing
1694. 1:00:13about probably would set my dad off that
1695. 1:00:16day the glass okay um us not having food
1696. 1:00:21ready stuff like that we I mean we just
1697. 1:00:25microwave whatever was in the fridge I
1698. 1:00:28suppose yeah who was upset about that
1699. 1:00:32Dad Dad was he usually doesn't like that

1741. 1:02:55happened between that we kind of either
1742. 1:02:57were outside with the dogs from the
  1743. 1:03:00lighting of the
1744. 1:03:01grill him going in taking a couple
1745. 1:03:04calls now and then or emails or
1746. 1:03:07something but we just kind of washed the
1747. 1:03:09grill and waited to get it set steady at
  1748. 1:03:12uh hamburgers for 350 is
  1749. 1:03:16okay
  1750. 1:03:17[Music]
1751. 1:03:19then so yeah we just kind of
  1752. 1:03:23waited for the burgers
1753. 1:03:27um and then we had we ate noon
  1754. 1:03:37NO3 12:30 sorry

  1758. 1:03:48around time for

1765. 1:04:15um sorry I'm really trying to the memory
  1766. 1:04:18um
1767. 1:04:20that's then yeah we went to go do our
1768. 1:04:24own things I went back to a little bit
1769. 1:04:27more job searching this time I branched
1770. 1:04:29into DeForest instead of just Windsor
1771. 1:04:32working he went back to work we
  1772. 1:04:36planned
  1773. 1:04:43on something
  1774. 1:04:48inol oh we were
1775. 1:04:57I don't know something went well for him
  1776. 1:05:00so that's

1788. 1:05:41scampy for my dad cuz that's what he
  1789. 1:05:43wanted but we didn't have shrimp so I
  1790. 1:05:46made shrimp
  1791. 1:05:48scampy Chandler's disposition throughout
1792. 1:05:50this interrogation becomes calmer at the
1793. 1:05:52beginning of the interview he is Shifty
1794. 1:05:54and nervous however as he has been able
1795. 1:05:56to tell his story his disposition
1796. 1:05:58changes into a more relaxed one he
1797. 1:06:00believes that the cops are believing his
1798. 1:06:02lies and believe his story despite the
  1799. 1:06:04glaring red flags
  1800. 1:06:10um that's that's where they told me
1801. 1:06:13while we were eating it they they were
1802. 1:06:15going to go with their friends and I was
  1803. 1:06:16like oh
1804. 1:06:19cool um and they said they were going to
1805. 1:06:23the cabin yeah we're going up north
1806. 1:06:27that's how they refer to it who said
1807. 1:06:29that Mom or Dad mom my my dad doesn't
1808. 1:06:32talk while eats okay um so there we are
1809. 1:06:37at Thursday dinner up north of the cabin
1810. 1:06:40my dad says I'll need a set for pipe
  1811. 1:06:42repair and
  1812. 1:06:44gas so I'm like all
1813. 1:06:48right I grabbed the pipe repair stuff
1814. 1:06:51from his um Plumbing chest or Plumbing

1822. 1:07:20most of their duffles already packed at
1823. 1:07:23that point M and we all just started
1824. 1:07:25bringing him down to the mud room with
1825. 1:07:28the shoes yeah by the garage where you
  1826. 1:07:30showed me
  1827. 1:07:33him
  1828. 1:07:35um after that we
  1829. 1:07:37watched
1830. 1:07:43uh that is a Netflix original um you
  1831. 1:07:48know seven underground with a thrill
  1832. 1:07:52seeking like
1833. 1:07:55it's like they they fake their deaths
1834. 1:07:57and they they fly airplanes and um they
1835. 1:08:02like fight at evil of the World by being
  1836. 1:08:06ghosts pretty cool I don't think I've

1851. 1:08:46parents by then were asleep we got the
  1852. 1:08:49teethbrush and
  1853. 1:08:52everything um

1858. 1:09:08when I crawled into bed from the the
1859. 1:09:11black table so after our movie we set up

1861. 1:09:19the girls who helped you set the bed up
1862. 1:09:22my dad dad okay yes he knew he was

1867. 1:09:36stuff was all set out they remember the
1868. 1:09:42gas um I found the the the folding
1869. 1:09:47chairs that they wanted to bring but
1870. 1:09:49they never brought them I'm assuming you
  1871. 1:09:51think them fit they
  1872. 1:09:55so I put those away
1873. 1:10:01um that was Friday morning I go
1874. 1:10:04upstairs do the dog or feed the
  1875. 1:10:08dogs it was around 6ish not 6:15 when I
1876. 1:10:12woke up I was a little late that day

  1882. 1:10:30appointment I
1883. 1:10:33just ate whatever is on the counter I
  1884. 1:10:35think it was
  1885. 1:10:36[Music]
1886. 1:10:42cornbread where was the note from your
1887. 1:10:44mom that was on the the kitchen like
  1888. 1:10:47there's a peninsula yeah with the
1889. 1:10:50insurance stacked up but I I moved it to
  1890. 1:10:53the table okay
1891. 1:10:57and then those insurance cards were
1892. 1:10:58there also with that we saw yesterday
  1893. 1:11:01yeah okay um I don't think she knew
  1894. 1:11:04which one I would
1895. 1:11:05need but I have three now mhm
  1896. 1:11:16um okay Friday
1897. 1:11:19yeah out with cat Friday night I believe
1898. 1:11:22would you do Friday during the day oh oh
  1899. 1:11:25yeah just work backwards
1900. 1:11:31um I kind of sh the day away play video
1901. 1:11:35games okay parents are gone why not
  1902. 1:11:38right yeah I didn't do anything that I
1903. 1:11:41should have I should have been cleaning
  1904. 1:11:43and all of
1905. 1:11:46that well the house seemed pretty clean
1906. 1:11:49when I was there you see all the dog
1907. 1:11:51hair that that's got to be gone it comes
1908. 1:11:53along with it right yeah
1909. 1:11:57all right so Friday during the day just
1910. 1:11:59played video games kind of yeah then
1911. 1:12:02after work I believe that was the day
1912. 1:12:05cat came over after whose work cat she
1913. 1:12:08is work five was her work when she was
  1914. 1:12:13off believe she came
  1915. 1:12:18over
1916. 1:12:22um so she get done own five okay came at
  1917. 1:12:255 you say I don't think she went
1918. 1:12:28straight here after I I came over um it
1919. 1:12:33could have been later like 6 maybe give
1920. 1:12:35her time for like getting
  1921. 1:12:37clothes
1922. 1:12:45um this just after work did you say what
1923. 1:12:48she work at she works downtown Middleton
1924. 1:12:51is a farm Tech okay she um I believe she
1925. 1:12:56stayed with me on that couch that
1926. 1:13:01night so she spent the night
  1927. 1:13:04over
1928. 1:13:10yeah you guys both SLE on the couch
  1929. 1:13:13downstairs
  1930. 1:13:16yeah
1931. 1:13:18um what' you do before you went to bad
  1932. 1:13:21Friday night
1933. 1:13:26that might have been my own night I
  1934. 1:13:28might be wrong I'm wrong okay I think I
1935. 1:13:30spent that night alone I just kind of
1936. 1:13:32gamed online uh with some my
  1937. 1:13:36friends I said Saturday night I'm so
1938. 1:13:40sorry guys I know where is man so one
  1939. 1:13:43night I GED alone all
1940. 1:13:46night one night cat spent the night on
  1941. 1:13:50the
1942. 1:13:51couch oh and Sunday she spent the night
1943. 1:13:54in my bed with me she help me out stairs
1944. 1:13:57Sunday night Sunday night I know that
1945. 1:14:00because she didn't want to spend another
1946. 1:14:03night on the couch bed she didn't like
1947. 1:14:07it and she went to work on Monday
1948. 1:14:10morning so that was the my bed night we
1949. 1:14:15um backtracking one night she spent on
  1950. 1:14:18the
1951. 1:14:19couch me with like the couch bed we've
1952. 1:14:23made mhm but one night I gamed all night
1953. 1:14:27or all day and night pretty much and I'm
  1954. 1:14:30pretty sure that
1955. 1:14:34was Friday night and let's go with
1956. 1:14:37Saturday was my night alone
1957. 1:14:41okay so Friday we believe she came over
1958. 1:14:45yes and then Saturday was the game night
  1959. 1:14:48yes so backtracking to
1960. 1:14:51Friday when she came by
1961. 1:14:58we um actually we just um oh bright no
1962. 1:15:04not bright um there's this movie or TV
1963. 1:15:08series on Netflix we watched pretty much
1964. 1:15:10the entirety of that into the morning
  1965. 1:15:14was
  1966. 1:15:16um a apocalypse show I don't know the
1967. 1:15:23name what time do you guys think going
  1968. 1:15:25to
  1969. 1:15:26[Music]
  1970. 1:15:28bed I say we stayed up
  1971. 1:15:32well 10 I would say
1972. 1:15:36p.m. yeah okay you got to be at
  1973. 1:15:41least
  1974. 1:15:42[Music]
  1975. 1:15:45um the
1976. 1:15:51morning Saturday we didn't do much she
  1977. 1:15:55left
1978. 1:15:58um this is when I'm really starting to
1979. 1:16:01notice my legs okay I'm kind of having
1980. 1:16:05the the anxiety and all of that like
  1981. 1:16:08getting a little frustrated with myself
1982. 1:16:10and all that like I it wasn't too bad
1983. 1:16:15until like last week Tuesday when I
1984. 1:16:18started noticing it and Saturday was
1985. 1:16:21like the peak and it's kind of stayed
1986. 1:16:24out like this okay Peak anxiety and and
1987. 1:16:29this kind of like set me like fast for
1988. 1:16:32some space and I just kind of gained
  1989. 1:16:37Saturday
1990. 1:16:39um couldn't tell you when I went to bed
1991. 1:16:41I I think I might have even stayed up
  1992. 1:16:43till
  1993. 1:16:452 that
  1994. 1:16:47yeah um
1995. 1:16:55yeah it's just the same game escape from
  1996. 1:16:58tarov
  1997. 1:17:00um all right I couldn't get a hold of
1998. 1:17:03any of my friends to play with
  1999. 1:17:05unfortunately I played like some here
2000. 1:17:07and there mhm from Discord but none
2001. 1:17:11would stick around for that late in the
  2002. 1:17:13night
2003. 1:17:15sure then we get to Sunday it's the
  2004. 1:17:204th in the morning I'm a little worried
  2005. 1:17:22about my family
  2006. 1:17:25I think I called my
  2007. 1:17:27mom oh throughout I've called I I don't
  2008. 1:17:30know the times
  2009. 1:17:33though throughout the weekend I me but I
  2010. 1:17:35called my ma I
  2011. 1:17:37believe in the morning there's along
  2012. 1:17:40those lines and I get a text from
2013. 1:17:43her it was a text message it wasn't even
  2014. 1:17:46an i message so MH I
2015. 1:17:49assumed she said White Lake
2016. 1:17:52today so she sent it that day
  2017. 1:17:57um I couldn't figure out where she
2018. 1:18:00was because it was a text there was no
2019. 1:18:03IM message so I kind of just like left
  2020. 1:18:05it at that they're safe they're
  2021. 1:18:08alive
  2022. 1:18:10[Music]
  2023. 1:18:14then get the
  2024. 1:18:17afternoon I'm talking to
2025. 1:18:21Dan I call him up and I ask him well
  2026. 1:18:25what he's
2027. 1:18:27doing or maybe that was the morning but
2028. 1:18:30I I called Dan that Sunday asking what
2029. 1:18:33he what he's up to if he wanted to hang
  2030. 1:18:35out he's I don't like being alone at the
  2031. 1:18:38house very
2032. 1:18:39long and Dan is mom's coworker slri yeah
  2033. 1:18:45guy
2034. 1:18:47um go over there for he invited me for
2035. 1:18:51fireworks in his in his track
2036. 1:19:00way um he said or you said yesterday he

  2038. 1:19:04the other yeah close Okay I could I
2039. 1:19:08could point it at a map one or the other
  2040. 1:19:10I
2041. 1:19:13think throughout the day um the dogs
2042. 1:19:17it's just me and the dogs the fireworks
2043. 1:19:20and the dogs are like running around
2044. 1:19:23into things I'm trying to keep them okay
2045. 1:19:26all they're doing is knocking stuff over
  2046. 1:19:29spilled their water they haven't
2047. 1:19:32eaten it won't go outside for me um even
  2048. 1:19:36on a leash I could get

2053. 1:19:46all I put them both into the the fort
  2054. 1:19:51crank the TV
  2055. 1:19:54[Music]
2056. 1:19:57did that seem to help at all with
2057. 1:19:59them yeah the the loud TV helped um
2058. 1:20:03Rizzo doesn't like or maybe does like
2059. 1:20:06new girl the TV shows so we watch that
2060. 1:20:10stuff it's the theme song that gets her
  2061. 1:20:12I think she
  2062. 1:20:14barks
  2063. 1:20:16um so we watched
2064. 1:20:19that um Izzy fell asleep so Izzy's
2065. 1:20:25the old dog the older one y so then it's
2066. 1:20:28Sunday Sunday evening cat comes by to

2217. 1:28:45brought the wet stuff in the dryer

  2219. 1:28:51do we'll get her clothes dve
  2220. 1:28:54uh that's after we get back
  2221. 1:28:56actually
2222. 1:28:58um and then we go to dance okay um for
2223. 1:29:02the fireworks that he asked us to come
  2224. 1:29:05by
2225. 1:29:078:30 um for some reason I I was trying
  2226. 1:29:10to leave
  2227. 1:29:12but I was making a a joke about it that
2228. 1:29:15we're we're going to be late like stuff
2229. 1:29:17like that goofy crab I drove to dance
2230. 1:29:21okay which car are we guys in my dad sub
2231. 1:29:25a blue the one in the
  2232. 1:29:27gr
  2233. 1:29:29yeah
2234. 1:29:31gotcha then we get there we stay for 45
2235. 1:29:36to an hour which that's how I got the
2236. 1:29:39ble rocket marks show me
  2237. 1:29:42those
2238. 1:29:44that the Sparks and I think this was a
2239. 1:29:47wad or something that flew back shot
2240. 1:29:50back out of it yeah that one stuck in
  2241. 1:29:53for a little bit
2242. 1:29:54that's why it's so bad that these are
2243. 1:29:56sparks okay those there a dance house
  2244. 1:29:58you got those dance a
  2245. 1:30:01dance I I didn't know the stick you you
2246. 1:30:05don't hold the stick the stick flies
  2247. 1:30:07with it oh sure I didn't
  2248. 1:30:10know
  2249. 1:30:16um you're over at Dan house about 45
2250. 1:30:19minutes to an hour yeah get my hands a
2251. 1:30:21little bit oh we find a firework that it
2252. 1:30:26spins and takes off and it went straight
  2253. 1:30:29to the
2254. 1:30:30bush so we were like no more of that
  2255. 1:30:33we're done
2256. 1:30:38um did light the Bush on
2257. 1:30:41fire no no thankfully it wasn't hot
2258. 1:30:44enough for that good after that we
  2259. 1:30:47cleaned I gave him a bottle of wine as a
  2260. 1:30:50thank you for letting
  2261. 1:30:51us come
  2262. 1:30:55I thankfully I still have a couple
  2263. 1:30:58bottles at
2264. 1:31:03home um while we're there Dan had a few
2265. 1:31:07beers his girlfriend was there or fiance
2266. 1:31:11or or wife I'm not sure their
  2267. 1:31:14relationship but she was
2268. 1:31:17there know her name never got her
2269. 1:31:21name Just Dance girlfriend got purple
  2270. 1:31:24hair she's it at
2271. 1:31:26MATC the school is own
2272. 1:31:28it okay anybody else there just the two
2273. 1:31:33of us and then the neighbors watched one
2274. 1:31:36to our left and one across the street
  2275. 1:31:38one
2276. 1:31:41group um the one across the street had
2277. 1:31:44some cooler stuff than I've ever seen
2278. 1:31:46our person be able to own firework
2279. 1:31:52wise um but there there we are and then
2280. 1:31:57then someone in the distance kind of
  2281. 1:31:59closer to our house launched a
2282. 1:32:01mortar artillery firework mhm and then I
2283. 1:32:06was like okay we have to go home for the
2284. 1:32:08dogs so we went and that was
  2285. 1:32:14pushing 9:30
  2286. 1:32:169:45 we got
2287. 1:32:19home we uh got into the couch fort
2288. 1:32:31and put on Daybreak was the apocalypse
  2289. 1:32:34show
  2290. 1:32:36Daybreak
2291. 1:32:38um I put on that because we were trying
2292. 1:32:40to finish it on Netflix
2293. 1:32:43yes um this is cat and I still she was
2294. 1:32:46spending the night um the whole time
2295. 1:32:49dogs are pushing me nosing me and
2296. 1:32:52everything and so we kind of stop and
2297. 1:32:56stop watching and she goes to
  2298. 1:32:58bed
2299. 1:33:00um I'm trying to let the dogs out or at
2300. 1:33:02least go back in a little bit but the
  2301. 1:33:05fireworks they she they
2302. 1:33:09couldn't um we get to bed upstairs in my
2303. 1:33:14room because she doesn't like the couch
2304. 1:33:18and she had work in the morning
  2305. 1:33:20yeah and I'd say that's 10
  2306. 1:33:2410
2307. 1:33:2610:30 and the whole time the younger dog
2308. 1:33:29keeps jumping on us um so I leave cat in
2309. 1:33:33the bed and I go sit out out down in the
2310. 1:33:37the the couches and chairs down by the
2311. 1:33:40real dinner table mhm I go sit there and
2312. 1:33:43just hang out with the dog so cat can
2313. 1:33:45get asleep where we first started
2314. 1:33:47talking last night like the kitchen
2315. 1:33:49dining room and the couches okay got I
2316. 1:33:52sit down there so cat can get some sleat
  2317. 1:33:53cuz I don't work tomorrow she does
2318. 1:33:56MHM um then I put the ladder in front of
2319. 1:33:59those steps so the girls can't come
2320. 1:34:02up I uh they pee on the
2321. 1:34:06kitchen ties so I clean that and like
2322. 1:34:09well at least they went before bed you
  2323. 1:34:12know it wasn't the worst thing they're
2324. 1:34:14not going to go outside
  2325. 1:34:16yeah then I go to bed
  2326. 1:34:20okay then it's Monday morning
  2327. 1:34:23cat goes to
  2328. 1:34:25work 7:50 is maybe
  2329. 1:34:29earlier then I'm left to myself
2330. 1:34:33so we put on new girl in the couch for
  2331. 1:34:36it on Monday morning
2332. 1:34:39mhm I go back and forth through some
  2333. 1:34:42video games and then
  2334. 1:34:45back video games
  2335. 1:34:54back and
2336. 1:35:00then those don't like to stand up very
  2337. 1:35:03good I'm sorry I'm trying to stretch a
  2338. 1:35:05little bit while I'm
  2339. 1:35:06sitting
2340. 1:35:08um new girl video games this is
  2341. 1:35:15one um we're getting later I have a
2342. 1:35:18little bit of tea for lunch
2343. 1:35:24Monday well at the end of the day on
  2344. 1:35:28Monday I did
2345. 1:35:30go for the afternoon I did go to the
2346. 1:35:34farm to talk to Crest and Cat's
  2347. 1:35:38mom I told them what's happening with my
2348. 1:35:41health because I had the appointment at
2349. 1:35:43two did you go to the farm before or
  2350. 1:35:46after after because I I told them what
2351. 1:35:48happened to me and I told them the legs
2352. 1:35:51are probably going to be permanent and
2353. 1:35:54the headaches should be fixed after the
  2354. 1:35:57hammer just cleared a little
  2355. 1:35:59bit
  2356. 1:36:02so now that I'm
  2357. 1:36:07there I talked to their mom
  2358. 1:36:13um and Crest
  2359. 1:36:15together
2360. 1:36:17and I think cat's mom is all right with
  2361. 1:36:21me she's
2362. 1:36:25I don't know if she wants me to move
2363. 1:36:27into her the East Side cat's house okay
2364. 1:36:32and start paying rent as an apartment
2365. 1:36:34because she doesn't like to live at home
2366. 1:36:36does cat live with her mom or cat has an
  2367. 1:36:39apartment okay
  2368. 1:36:41somewhere cat does yeah it's on it's by
2369. 1:36:45Mifflin okay the party Avenue it's by
  2370. 1:36:48there um
2371. 1:36:54okay so I'm there talking to their mom
  2372. 1:36:58and
  2373. 1:37:00press when I
  2374. 1:37:02um then I go
2375. 1:37:04up uh have you know a breakdown by their
  2376. 1:37:09shed and they go
2377. 1:37:12swimming um right by the swimming pool
2378. 1:37:15is shed so they're they wanted to watch
  2379. 1:37:18me
  2380. 1:37:19like you
2381. 1:37:21know break down and all that so after I
  2382. 1:37:25noticed they're just watching I just
  2383. 1:37:29walk over to
2384. 1:37:31them describe your breakdown to me uh I
  2385. 1:37:36actually
2386. 1:37:39cried started kicking grass just doing
  2387. 1:37:43the toddler tantrum [ __ ] um then
2388. 1:37:48I hopped in the water with them okay so
2389. 1:37:51it was too late I was in the water and
  2390. 1:37:54he realized Crest didn't have a top um
  2391. 1:37:57and that was
2392. 1:37:58uncomfortable but I talk to them more
2393. 1:38:00and that's what she brought up the
  2394. 1:38:02housing situation how she doesn't like
  2395. 1:38:05all my parents
  2396. 1:38:06like are I guess I don't she know she
2397. 1:38:11doesn't know them that well she never
2398. 1:38:13met them okay CHR was saying that cat's
  2399. 1:38:16mom cat's mom is
  2400. 1:38:18uh speaks
2401. 1:38:21his first thought right away
  2402. 1:38:24yeah so
  2403. 1:38:25she's so they're offering me to get a
  2404. 1:38:29job live with
2405. 1:38:31them work for them while I'm working and
2406. 1:38:35pay rent and that's kind of their their
2407. 1:38:38deal I would have like a month free of
2408. 1:38:40rent or a month or two maybe if if
2409. 1:38:43they're thinking um I could be able to
  2410. 1:38:46borrow a car from Crest maybe if she's
2411. 1:38:49nice or not using it I'd be able to go
  2412. 1:38:52to work
2413. 1:38:54do she have a lot of cars or something
2414. 1:38:56no no okay there an exra one probably
2415. 1:39:00she stays at the farm okay so if she
2416. 1:39:03didn't need it I could use it sure to go
  2417. 1:39:07to a job or at least
  2418. 1:39:09interviews yeah I was hoping for a job
2419. 1:39:13you know near where I live so I could
2420. 1:39:15bike that would keep me you know these
  2421. 1:39:19going I don't want I don't think they
2422. 1:39:20can get worse but I I can keep doing it
  2423. 1:39:23you know
  2424. 1:39:24yeah
2425. 1:39:29um where are we Sunday so you were
2426. 1:39:31swimming um a little breakdown what were
  2427. 1:39:34you having a breakdown
2428. 1:39:37about you ever have your legs no I
  2429. 1:39:44just I don't even know if they're done
2430. 1:39:46getting like as bad as they they can be
  2431. 1:39:48yet so that's a that's not fun and you I
2432. 1:39:52think you were telling me last night it
  2433. 1:39:53was it's a symptom of a concussion right
  2434. 1:39:56so right that's not it that's a it's a
2435. 1:39:58symptom of nerve damage from the hit my
  2436. 1:40:01spine so it's permanent okay I
2437. 1:40:04understand that not better yeah um so
2438. 1:40:07it's just legs think it's waste feeling
2439. 1:40:11is probably coloss bag down the road and
2440. 1:40:14all of that but here we are Sunday
2441. 1:40:20yeah okay we're sitting in the pool
  2442. 1:40:22we're hanging
  2443. 1:40:26out um they're just talking to
  2444. 1:40:31me sometimes they're being nice
  2445. 1:40:33sometimes they're like making the offer
2446. 1:40:34like hey if you move in you can pay rent
  2447. 1:40:37this is a good
  2448. 1:40:38neighborhood um it's called a sack
  2449. 1:40:41there's
  2450. 1:40:44parking
2451. 1:40:46so yeah on the east side just off of
  2452. 1:40:49Milwaukee Street that's Andrew Andrew
2453. 1:40:52you take the left turn on to Andrew by
  2454. 1:40:54Milwaukee
  2455. 1:40:56y so that's
  2456. 1:40:58it um so it's a good neighborhood kind
2457. 1:41:02of like the one by my parents
  2458. 1:41:05mhm I if I live there I at least be on
  2459. 1:41:09doing my own
  2460. 1:41:11thing and then they're like well
  2461. 1:41:14appreciate you stopping by so I I I head
  2462. 1:41:17out and I
2463. 1:41:19go was Monday afternoon I go to dinner
  2464. 1:41:22at cat
2465. 1:41:23cat's house on the east side
2466. 1:41:26okay what time do you think that
2467. 1:41:31was had to be 7:30 I left the farm which
  2468. 1:41:34is prees 7:30
  2469. 1:41:37p.m.
  2470. 1:41:39PR
  2471. 1:41:41okay
  2472. 1:41:47so
  2473. 1:41:50cats and then
2474. 1:41:55she's she's planning on feeding me um
2475. 1:41:59this is Monday correct yeah it's after
  2476. 1:42:02the farm soon
2477. 1:42:08Cress I think we just eat and cuddle a
  2478. 1:42:11little bit okay when I go
2479. 1:42:16home there's the girls um let them out
2480. 1:42:20and go to bed cuz I kind of B a day yeah
2481. 1:42:25what time you think you left for Place
  2482. 1:42:27cat
  2483. 1:42:30N9 he left about 9 okay
2484. 1:42:35um she didn't come with you no I was
  2485. 1:42:38alone that night
2486. 1:42:43okay want to drag her away sure I think
2487. 1:42:46she stayed at her apartment that or her
2488. 1:42:49house that night not apartment
  2489. 1:42:51Okay so there we
  2490. 1:42:56are Tuesday Tuesday
  2491. 1:42:59morning I was
  2492. 1:43:06just I can't IED it um
2493. 1:43:11oh Dan wakes me up I believe with
2494. 1:43:15something or not wakes me up I I did the
2495. 1:43:17six again with the dogs and the food but
  2496. 1:43:19I got back in bed I don't know if I
2497. 1:43:21passed out or zoned out a little bit
2498. 1:43:27um Dan is worried about my ma on Tuesday
  2499. 1:43:31I
2500. 1:43:32think did he call said no no word
  2501. 1:43:36m I don't know if he called her I think
  2502. 1:43:39he just contacted that's what I can
2503. 1:43:41think of reached out yeah he reached
  2504. 1:43:43out then I'm like oh it's Tuesday
2505. 1:43:45morning they should be here um little
2506. 1:43:49worried I think I called my mom that day
  2507. 1:43:55all right and
  2508. 1:43:58then you J for no she
  2509. 1:44:02never it's always
2510. 1:44:05the the voicemail in said voicemail you
2511. 1:44:08know when yeah so it's off out of
  2512. 1:44:12range I don't know the other factors
  2513. 1:44:14that could give you that it's like a
2514. 1:44:16voicemail right away goes right to
2515. 1:44:18voicemail right yeah okay so whatever
2516. 1:44:20factors can give you that so I might
2517. 1:44:22have missed so from the time like they
2518. 1:44:25left did you talk to them at all when
2519. 1:44:28they were I got a you got the one text
  2520. 1:44:31and I that you mentioned earlier don't
2521. 1:44:33even like it right yeah but that was it
  2522. 1:44:35nothing else yeah so that's that's fishy
2523. 1:44:38to me even the text because I realized
2524. 1:44:41Memorial Day is when the White Lake
2525. 1:44:42parade is oh sure there's no Fourth of
  2526. 1:44:46July maybe there's cheap drinks but
2527. 1:44:48there's no parade quite like on the
  2528. 1:44:51fourth
2529. 1:44:54so well maybe there is
  2530. 1:44:56now I realize I I've always gone on
  2531. 1:45:00Memorial because that's when that's the
  2532. 1:45:03weekend I I get timed off from school
2533. 1:45:06and all of that you don't get time off
2534. 1:45:07for the fourth so so basically from the
2535. 1:45:09time that they're gone at the cabin and
2536. 1:45:12your home you know running around doing
2537. 1:45:14what you're doing you just said one
  2538. 1:45:17communication with Mom yeah that's kind
2539. 1:45:19of how I just assumed the amount of
  2540. 1:45:22people
  2541. 1:45:23the where they're at and whether they're
  2542. 1:45:25all well I understand I just Mak sure
2543. 1:45:29her not contacting but this is the only
2544. 1:45:31text was there anything with Dad no I I
2545. 1:45:34would even bother talking to him he he
2546. 1:45:36wouldn't use his phone while he's up
  2547. 1:45:38there he loves it
2548. 1:45:41oh you know does he keep his phone on
  2549. 1:45:43him when he's up
2550. 1:45:45there it's usually in the car oh okay um
2551. 1:45:50my brother and I just text all the time
  2552. 1:45:52while we're up there
2553. 1:45:53we even set up wire and Tennis sometimes
2554. 1:45:56to make make better connection sure um
2555. 1:46:00so here we are where Tuesday um called
  2556. 1:46:04Mom voicemail immediately voicemail
  2557. 1:46:07immediately
2558. 1:46:09Tuesday Dan Dan called worried about mom
2559. 1:46:12not coming to work um you had already
2560. 1:46:15fed the dogs and that before Dan called
2561. 1:46:17you or reached out to
  2562. 1:46:38so doing
  2563. 1:46:43this I I got a coffee at a quick trip
  2564. 1:46:46one
2565. 1:46:47day well I think that could have been
  2566. 1:46:49Tuesday morning okay I quick trip I got
  2567. 1:46:53a coffee and
  2568. 1:46:56I um I Ed my dad's number at a quick
2569. 1:46:59trip to get me the free one it group of
  2570. 1:47:02gold I I could have I could have
  2571. 1:47:04afforded it but you know there's a free
2572. 1:47:06one and it's Tuesday or it was a Monday
2573. 1:47:09I could have gotten a dollar one but was
  2574. 1:47:12full price I believe and I I grabbed the
2575. 1:47:14the coffee cuz it was a free one he
2576. 1:47:16hasn't used it for weeks so I grabb that
  2577. 1:47:19had a quick trip I couldn't tell you
2578. 1:47:21which one I was just driving at that
2579. 1:47:23point um when you get when you use a
2580. 1:47:27it's a rewards card is what they call it
2581. 1:47:28right you just enter his phone number or
  2582. 1:47:30something you typed
  2583. 1:47:32it okay
2584. 1:47:35um but I got coffee had to be I'm
  2585. 1:47:39assuming
  2586. 1:47:40Tuesday and I got a free
2587. 1:47:44one sweet it's it was terrible oh it was
2588. 1:47:48yeah I wanted to try kba gold yeah it
  2589. 1:47:51wasn't bad
  2590. 1:47:53um then we're at
  2591. 1:47:55Tuesday uh cat's working I'm gaming job
2592. 1:48:00hun and then I um then I started trying
  2593. 1:48:03to get the the
2594. 1:48:06glass I been a little lazy on the glass
2595. 1:48:11I just kind of have chairs in front of
  2596. 1:48:13it I broom
2597. 1:48:16and you know a little sweeper holder you
2598. 1:48:19know you broom it into that dust pan
2599. 1:48:21yeah and then tossing the glass into
  2600. 1:48:29recycling
  2601. 1:48:31um I get most of it there's there's a
2602. 1:48:34bunch in the cracks of the stone that
  2603. 1:48:36I'm picking out by
  2604. 1:48:38hand think I didn't injure myself from
  2605. 1:48:41that
  2606. 1:48:42but um
  2607. 1:48:45just
  2608. 1:48:50yeah just um
2609. 1:48:55my blood was kind of on the floor so I
  2610. 1:48:57got the Swiffer I borrowed from
  2611. 1:49:00cat from the the
  2612. 1:49:03foot I brought a Swiffer to M and I
2613. 1:49:06Swiffer the the floor floor like not the
  2614. 1:49:09stone but the
2615. 1:49:10floor and then I got a little bit in the
2616. 1:49:13kitchen and then everywhere kind of I
2617. 1:49:15walked pretty much the bathroom the
  2618. 1:49:18kitchen and then I couldn't get the
2619. 1:49:21carpet so I still stained that up little
2620. 1:49:24crappy where was their carpet at the
2621. 1:49:27stairs between basement and kitchen
  2622. 1:49:29carpet oh that's right carpet
  2623. 1:49:31stays um I tried I can't get it
  2624. 1:49:36out I don't know how to do that
2625. 1:49:40but um then all the way up to my the
2626. 1:49:44laundry room where I found my first aid
2627. 1:49:46kit I just tried to stop all the
  2628. 1:49:48bleeding but I you know it wouldn't stop
  2629. 1:49:51so
2630. 1:49:54that blood was all coming from your left
  2631. 1:49:56foot yeah left foot
  2632. 1:49:59hole left foot hole Yeah I mean we're
2633. 1:50:03talking are we talking massive amounts
2634. 1:50:04of blood are we talking you know a
2635. 1:50:06little bit like describe um it started
  2636. 1:50:10as
  2637. 1:50:11drops until I got to the
2638. 1:50:13bathroom and then I got back to go grab
2639. 1:50:16my sock and some of the the paper towel
2640. 1:50:21and then I see the glasses in there so I
2641. 1:50:23grab it TW and I pull it out and then it
2642. 1:50:24starts squirting out and I I got some on
2643. 1:50:29a little bit of the rock it wasn't that
2644. 1:50:31bad of the rock but it
2645. 1:50:34um I think the worst was the that floor
2646. 1:50:39when Chandler was booked in the police
2647. 1:50:40department his foot was photographed and
2648. 1:50:40looked at the cut he had was less than
2649. 1:50:41an inch long incredibly shallow Chandler
2650. 1:50:42emphasized the size of the wound in
2651. 1:50:43order to explain away any blood that is
2652. 1:50:44found in the house and further gain
2653. 1:50:45sympathy from the officers like it kind
2654. 1:50:48of like you know like this lid puddles M
2655. 1:50:51it was wasn't good was the floor down in
2656. 1:50:54the basement well that one um and then I
  2657. 1:51:00go
2658. 1:51:01upstairs to the kitchen and it's still
2659. 1:51:04going and I'm trying to get my foot in
2660. 1:51:06the sink just to slow it down and pinch
  2661. 1:51:09it
2662. 1:51:11maybe um and then I waddle upstairs
2663. 1:51:16to the the the ey pack or the the first
  2664. 1:51:22a
2665. 1:51:23okay and um once I got it kind of
  2666. 1:51:27bundled up that's stopped for for what I
  2667. 1:51:32know then I
  2668. 1:51:34go I need to get some
2669. 1:51:38tape um we have a tape box in the
  2670. 1:51:40basement I go there and I I opened it up
2671. 1:51:44again and I bled a little bit more but
2672. 1:51:46the basement was easy to clean but it's
  2673. 1:51:48just
2674. 1:51:49cement a little bit of water and I raged
  2675. 1:51:52that up
2676. 1:51:53but I grabbed the tape box and I wrapped
2677. 1:51:55it um after that that was that's Tuesday
  2678. 1:52:02yep
  2679. 1:52:07that's wings I go to
2680. 1:52:10cats okay we had wings what
2681. 1:52:13time um could I've been doing the BS of

  2686. 1:52:28six I could give you the
2687. 1:52:30exact did you guys pick up the wings and
  2688. 1:52:33go there

  2693. 1:52:47the Volvo seat
2694. 1:52:50like you know do it with my foot okay
2695. 1:52:59um so you're talking about wings did you
2696. 1:53:02guys go pick up wings or yeah so we get
  2697. 1:53:05there and we're calling around seeing

2708. 1:53:36Wildwoods you remember which one I could
  2709. 1:53:39tell you okay
  2710. 1:53:41I
2711. 1:53:45um it had to be East right that's close
  2712. 1:53:48to it's by a mall probably by a mall
  2713. 1:53:53there's them all
2714. 1:53:55um we go in we get the wings we go
2715. 1:54:02out we go to cats we
2716. 1:54:06eat um we watch this movie pretty and
  2717. 1:54:09pink or something it's about a girl that
2718. 1:54:12likes fashion and goes to
2719. 1:54:16Harvard so is that on Netflix or just
  2720. 1:54:18normal
2721. 1:54:21TV they have like everything there I
  2722. 1:54:24didn't I didn't
2723. 1:54:26know all right so we at the wings at
  2724. 1:54:28cats watch pretty and
  2725. 1:54:30pink yes it was a m choice but
2726. 1:54:35um the four of us yeah we all ate okay
2727. 1:54:38and then went upstairs lay down in her
  2728. 1:54:41bed for a few
2729. 1:54:45minutes just letting the food settle or
2730. 1:54:48yeah hanging out um notice she's kind of
  2731. 1:54:52of fallen
2732. 1:54:54asleep so I'm like okay I'm ready to get
2733. 1:54:57out of here and I go home get the girls
2734. 1:55:02all ready for bed going
  2735. 1:55:04outside get them
2736. 1:55:09water what time do you think you made it
  2737. 1:55:13home say
  2738. 1:55:169 the latest
  2739. 1:55:21and
2740. 1:55:23girls water well not really food they've
  2741. 1:55:26ate before but
2742. 1:55:27water and played like indoor play time
  2743. 1:55:31and the bathroom sure
2744. 1:55:36so did you guys go to so you were home
2745. 1:55:39alone then um I've been home alone this
2746. 1:55:42whole weekend really except when cat
2747. 1:55:43comes yeah so cat didn't come that
  2748. 1:55:47night so now we're we're pushing
  2749. 1:55:49Wednesday aren't we um
2750. 1:55:56what time do you think you went to bed
2751. 1:55:57on Tuesday night um probably pretty dang
  2752. 1:56:02close when I got home 10 at the
2753. 1:56:07latest kind of been tired lately sure um
  2754. 1:56:12then in the morning
2755. 1:56:14on Sunday no wait where are we Wednesday
2756. 1:56:19Wednesday okay so Wednesday um
2757. 1:56:23I try to go to the farm I keep spamming
  2758. 1:56:26Crest and spamming
2759. 1:56:28Crest I kind of need someone to talk to
2760. 1:56:31cuz freaking out about my parents um
2761. 1:56:34Jane's calling me I give her the address
2762. 1:56:36to go to the farm to the to the cabin
  2763. 1:56:41Jane Jane
2764. 1:56:46helenor um never picked up from Crest so
  2765. 1:56:51I go home
2766. 1:56:55um did you drive over to the farm or
2767. 1:56:58yeah yeah cuz she wasn't answering her
2768. 1:57:01phone right no I got close but then I
  2769. 1:57:04realized I can't just show up they
  2770. 1:57:05they'd shoot me they don't know what I
2771. 1:57:09drive or what I look like with a hat on
2772. 1:57:12they got guns over there or would they
2773. 1:57:15actually shoot you no I'm just saying
  2774. 1:57:18there her dad lives there he's he's 90
2775. 1:57:22he he got a buck when he was 95 or
  2776. 1:57:25something so I I know if he didn't know
  2777. 1:57:28who I was he could have
  2778. 1:57:30yeah so he's he's
  2779. 1:57:34a but he can use a gun that's why I
2780. 1:57:38would do that yeah so cr's dad lives
2781. 1:57:41there too yeah who's is it cr's Farm or
  2782. 1:57:44Dad's Farm it's Dad's he built it oh
2783. 1:57:46okay and then she she lives there she's
  2784. 1:57:49managing the property because he's in a
  2785. 1:57:51chair yeah he's
  2786. 1:57:52oh
  2787. 1:57:54um so then it's not really a farm it's a
2788. 1:57:58farm hobby Farm yeah yeah okay I got you
2789. 1:58:01I haven't never been there let wild
2790. 1:58:03flowers grow for the the beast that's
2791. 1:58:05pretty much it and their own berries but
  2792. 1:58:08it's
2793. 1:58:09um then here we are I turn around and
  2794. 1:58:13then Jane
2795. 1:58:15calls I get a picture of property at the
  2796. 1:58:20cabin I see see
  2797. 1:58:23that so I'm looking at the
  2798. 1:58:27cabin then it doesn't look right there's
2799. 1:58:29a birch tree in in
  2800. 1:58:32front and I I didn't like the look of it
  2801. 1:58:35cuz that didn't that didn't just sit
2802. 1:58:37right with me a little bit but I it
2803. 1:58:40looked like tracks were pushed down into
  2804. 1:58:42the grass a little bit I don't know in
2805. 1:58:45the picture and Mike said there was like
2806. 1:58:48light tracks like someone was there
2807. 1:58:52where was the birch tree at it looked
2808. 1:58:54like it was in the middle of the drive
2809. 1:58:56and sometimes we do do that we we find a
2810. 1:58:59fallen log and we put it like a you know
2811. 1:59:02a double door entrance so you go in from
2812. 1:59:05the gate you park you move the next and
2813. 1:59:09then you drive there sure so that's like
2814. 1:59:12the only security we can get up
2815. 1:59:15there um some we have done that
2816. 1:59:18before the grass is overgrown but that's
2817. 1:59:21from the storm in the Fallen trees you
2818. 1:59:24can't mow there because the
2819. 1:59:31flowers so with the birch tree I mean if
2820. 1:59:33you guys typically put stuff down like
2821. 1:59:36security why why did it look weird too
  2822. 1:59:39this
2823. 1:59:39time never seen that log we have we have
2824. 1:59:43this log that's close to the shed
2825. 1:59:47it's I would say closer to petrified
  2826. 1:59:50than rotten it's hard like really
2827. 1:59:53hard yeah I don't know what kind of tree
2828. 1:59:56but that's what my dad and I use when we
2829. 1:59:59go so he typically use the same tree
2830. 2:00:01this one just seemed out of place too
2831. 2:00:03yeah that's not the tree we use gotta
2832. 2:00:12um where are we Wednesday morning U Jane
2833. 2:00:15sends you a picture up the cabin you see
2834. 2:00:17the Birch Street and look right to you
  2835. 2:00:20then I go to police station
  2836. 2:00:22because I ask her when should I make a
  2837. 2:00:25thing a point
  2838. 2:00:29or I'm sorry don't worries
2839. 2:00:35man what Wednesday morning you said you
2840. 2:00:37want to the police department yeah to
  2841. 2:00:39make
2842. 2:00:41a I'll talk to him about my
2843. 2:00:45parents and um then I met with three
2844. 2:00:49sheriffs like came you said
  2845. 2:00:53three there was a cely he's bearded the
2846. 2:00:58guy that drove me here I'm not sure the
  2847. 2:01:01name and then Collins
  2848. 2:01:05uh she was also
  2849. 2:01:08doing canvasing
  2850. 2:01:11mhm so
2851. 2:01:15canvasing so here we are throws three I
  2852. 2:01:18get the questions
  2853. 2:01:20answered then
2854. 2:01:24and oh then we go to my house and then
2855. 2:01:27there's three more the same three
2856. 2:01:31sheriffs um so they talk to you at the
2857. 2:01:33police station or wherever you yeah you
2858. 2:01:35get the information and stuff like that
2859. 2:01:37and then they came to your house yeah
2860. 2:01:39yeah okay and that's probably about then
2861. 2:01:42I came a couple hours later they were
  2862. 2:01:44there questioning you're here now
2863. 2:01:46questioning mhm and then that night that
2864. 2:01:52what night on Wednesday Wednesday night
2865. 2:01:55I um go to Dan and
2866. 2:01:57Mary's Wednesday night Wednesday night
2867. 2:01:59what time do you think they feed me um I
  2868. 2:02:02had probably 7
2869. 2:02:047:30 when you said you wented to a Mary
  2870. 2:02:08or Mary Sesto and
  2871. 2:02:10Dan something
2872. 2:02:14AIT so Mary Sesto house Mary Sesto house
2873. 2:02:18it's it's um on the same road as yours
2874. 2:02:22yeah they just up around the corner for
2875. 2:02:25dinner you went there yeah well they
2876. 2:02:27just fed me they didn't eat okay they
  2877. 2:02:29just wanted to
2878. 2:02:32brainstorm any good ideas come out of
2879. 2:02:36it no okay so you said you we only could
2880. 2:02:39think of Dan and Dan's been here yeah so
2881. 2:02:42you said you went to the the police
2882. 2:02:44department to talk about your parents
2883. 2:02:47what just tell me what exactly did they
2884. 2:02:49talk about your parents with the
  2885. 2:02:51deputies about oh we're making a report
2886. 2:02:54a report that I thought I had to do that
  2887. 2:02:57at a at station
2888. 2:02:59okay and you were reporting like what
2889. 2:03:02were you reporting exactly just I just
2890. 2:03:04want to write down and yeah have it on
  2891. 2:03:06there I they're missing this okay
  2892. 2:03:09they're missing
  2893. 2:03:11okay
2894. 2:03:14gotcha and as far as as far as you know
2895. 2:03:20um I mean were you able to tell we've
2896. 2:03:23gone into a lot of detail last night and
2897. 2:03:25tonight right yeah do you think that you
  2898. 2:03:27gave
2899. 2:03:28them as much information as you've given
2900. 2:03:31me or you think that we you asked way
2901. 2:03:34more questions you even asked about my
2902. 2:03:36injuries the bleeding and the fireplace
2903. 2:03:39yeah um the sheriff's kind of gave what
2904. 2:03:43they need to make reports and you just
2905. 2:03:45asked about like home life everything
2906. 2:03:50right okay uh so you you got more in
2907. 2:03:53depth yeah I think um Wednesday here we
2908. 2:03:57are and throughout the weekend I've been
  2909. 2:03:59calling
  2910. 2:04:01mhm
2911. 2:04:03okay all right um just kind of look at
2912. 2:04:06some things here so we started
2913. 2:04:09Wednesday um mom had work you and your
2914. 2:04:13dad watched Wheel of Fortune just going
2915. 2:04:15to kind of read stuff back through a
2916. 2:04:17little bit okay um and we kind of ended
  2917. 2:04:19it last night because that's I've been
2918. 2:04:20talking to you since then you know so I
  2919. 2:04:22don't think there's much else that I
2920. 2:04:24need you to tell me from last night
2921. 2:04:29um so watching Wheel of Fortune you're
2922. 2:04:32on the couch table downstair couch the
2923. 2:04:35back to the downstairs and tossing the
2924. 2:04:37ball the dog and broke the GL fireplace
2925. 2:04:38um your foot gets hurt that gets mad
2926. 2:04:41right yeah mom left work in the morning
2927. 2:04:42comes home later on um dog was fine not
2928. 2:04:46injured at all was it the dog or the
2929. 2:04:47ball that crashed into the glass both
2930. 2:04:50the ball bounced it but the dog hit it
2931. 2:04:52with the shoulder that's how it broke it
2932. 2:04:54would ball would have done it yeah
  2933. 2:04:57probably not okay
  2934. 2:05:01um all right
2935. 2:05:03um playing games watching YouTube job
2936. 2:05:06search I'm just going to instead of
  2937. 2:05:09reading out loud just make sure I don't
  2938. 2:05:10have any
  2939. 2:05:11questions
2940. 2:05:15um you guys typically make your beds
  2941. 2:05:17every day look like they're made
2942. 2:05:19yesterday when I was there yes okay we
2943. 2:05:22you your sheets every few days in
2944. 2:05:29beds you change the sheets every every
2945. 2:05:32few yeah they get changed going to say
  2946. 2:05:34that's
2947. 2:05:36bases or the dog hair it's kind of hard
2948. 2:05:39to sleep yeah they probably do have some
2949. 2:05:41pretty long hair the heat they shed um
  2950. 2:05:46but
  2951. 2:05:48oh no that's fine I get it I get a dog
2952. 2:05:52he sheds two but you got two of them you
  2953. 2:05:55know all
  2954. 2:06:02right as far
2955. 2:06:04as as far as the blood on your
2956. 2:06:07foot um how did you clean that up so we
2957. 2:06:11we were talking you got you had blood on
2958. 2:06:14swier wet okay so for what J and where
2959. 2:06:18did you get that from can't let me
  2960. 2:06:20borrow it um where's it at now I
  2961. 2:06:23returned it to cat
  2962. 2:06:27[Music]
  2963. 2:06:31yeah I don't know where it's at now he
  2964. 2:06:35just brought it
  2965. 2:06:37back back
2966. 2:06:40um did you use anything
2967. 2:06:43else hydrogen peroxide for the the tiles
  2968. 2:06:48and the hard floors
2969. 2:06:53um just the big Globs needed a little
2970. 2:06:57bit hydrogen cide do that seem to help
  2971. 2:07:00get rid of the
2972. 2:07:01blood well it hurt my foot by that stuff
2973. 2:07:05um but it didn't really help it kind of
2974. 2:07:08just made a mess and when you say only
2975. 2:07:10on tiles I'm trying to remember your
  2976. 2:07:12house I couldn't do carpet with it it
2977. 2:07:14would ruin the carpet right it would I
2978. 2:07:16think so um tiles are we talking kitchen
2979. 2:07:20cuz downstairs just like some well when
2980. 2:07:22I had some blood on the basement I used
  2981. 2:07:24the
2982. 2:07:26peroxide okay basement floor and tiles
2983. 2:07:29in the kitchen yeah okay yeah I for
2984. 2:07:32excited there it wasn't as much like
2985. 2:07:35there weren't like this size pools in
2986. 2:07:37the kitchen I was pinching it pretty
2987. 2:07:39dang hard but which was also cutting
2988. 2:07:42deeper cuz I had another might still
2989. 2:07:44have another piece of glass is that the
2990. 2:07:47biggest pool that you saw was something
2991. 2:07:49this was downstairs this was
  2992. 2:07:52kind of on the
2993. 2:07:53Stone close to the glass and then there
2994. 2:07:56was one right at the base kind of where
  2995. 2:07:59the chairs I
  2996. 2:08:00put like a
  2997. 2:08:03good like 2 3 in diameter 2 3 in
  2998. 2:08:08diameter okay
  2999. 2:08:11um more than that
3000. 2:08:24did you do anything to so I wrote down
3001. 2:08:26on Tuesday that you tried getting the
3002. 2:08:28glass cleaned up in the basement um
3003. 2:08:30tossed it in the glass glass and
3004. 2:08:32recycling did you clean up it all when
3005. 2:08:34it actually happened no my dad was
3006. 2:08:37Furious um so he he did stuff to clean
  3007. 2:08:41it yeah I don't know what he
3008. 2:08:46did but I he sent me to my room upstairs
3009. 2:08:50and he did whatever he did but it still
3010. 2:08:52was on the floor after he was done
  3011. 2:08:55okay
3012. 2:08:58um did your dad get injured at all when
3013. 2:09:00the glass broke did he step on any he
  3014. 2:09:03hent me up but
3015. 2:09:05I don't doubt it and he gets mad he's
  3016. 2:09:08not
3017. 2:09:09thinking so we don't know if your dad
3018. 2:09:12got hurt no okay no but my best guess is
3019. 2:09:17that guy reached in the fireplace and
  3020. 2:09:19cut up his arm or something I don't
  3021. 2:09:24know all
3022. 2:09:27right what's up head pain do you guys
  3023. 2:09:30said like Tylenol or
  3024. 2:09:33something I know you guys can't really
3025. 2:09:35offer anything like that like a headache
  3026. 2:09:38yeah I've been getting the migraines
3027. 2:09:40from all of the the hits and stuff try
  3028. 2:09:44to give you something
  3029. 2:09:45[Music]
3030. 2:09:46MH um so all right so cleaning up the
3031. 2:09:49blood we just got the Swiffer and the
  3032. 2:09:51and the hydrogen
3033. 2:09:52peroxide um just kind of smoothed it
  3034. 2:09:59around there's
3035. 2:10:01another U paper toweling yeah just that
  3036. 2:10:06okay and then
  3037. 2:10:08there's I don't
3038. 2:10:12know where did all those paper towels go
3039. 2:10:15just on the trash yeah um some
3040. 2:10:22everywhere my car trash in my my
3041. 2:10:29trash um they ended up in the car trash
3042. 2:10:33there's a bag in the car that I carried
  3043. 2:10:35around it's a car trash Oh okay it's
  3044. 2:10:37like a gallon bag okay that's more
  3045. 2:10:39portable than the garbage
3046. 2:10:42can so yeah bloody rag after bloody rag
3047. 2:10:46just trying to get it all up and mhm I
3048. 2:10:49don't know it was it was a lot
3049. 2:10:51I I didn't feel sick so it could have
3050. 2:10:54been that much right yeah you didn't
3051. 2:10:55lose enough to pass out or
3052. 2:10:57anything is there any reason to believe
3053. 2:11:00Mom or Dad's blood would be somewhere in
3054. 2:11:03the house have they been injured at all
3055. 2:11:06that you're aware of well my dad
3056. 2:11:09scratches his psoriasis till he like
3057. 2:11:11gushes blood okay gushing describe
3058. 2:11:15gushing to me enough to run down your
3059. 2:11:17leg like um like cover your leg I go
3060. 2:11:21like he has it on his
3061. 2:11:23knee so he does this it just
  3062. 2:11:27like DPS
3063. 2:11:29down and I asked him to stop but he
3064. 2:11:32doesn't do it when he's stressed out he
3065. 2:11:34just kind of like it's his tick yeah
3066. 2:11:37probably itches does he um like does it
3067. 2:11:41enough to get on the floor does it leave
3068. 2:11:43oh yeah yeah like how much like before
3069. 2:11:46we were talking the water bottle lid and
3070. 2:11:47the yeti lid is there I mean like are we
3071. 2:11:49talking puddles like that or just
3072. 2:11:52or it could be enough okay but I'm
  3073. 2:11:56thinking Yeti L if he's there and I
3074. 2:11:58don't catch him soon enough oh jeez my
  3075. 2:12:01M's
3076. 2:12:02blood D just from her bloody noses she
3077. 2:12:06gets sometimes when she wakes up that's
3078. 2:12:08why we've been doing the dehumidify or
  3079. 2:12:12humidifier and
  3080. 2:12:14dehumidifiers yeah probably downstairs
3081. 2:12:17you get the we we have to do multiple of
3082. 2:12:19them but she can't be in the living room
  3083. 2:12:21too long cuz that's a dehumidifier and
3084. 2:12:24if she does her nose gets
3085. 2:12:28bad not like a regular one she gets it
  3086. 2:12:32bad
3087. 2:12:34um but she either goes to the kitchen to
3088. 2:12:37fix it her vanity or the
3089. 2:12:43bathroom um when she has bloody noes are
3090. 2:12:45we talking it's just spraying around is
3091. 2:12:48it just dripping well it's not squirting
  3092. 2:12:49but it's dripping she doesn't notice it
3093. 2:12:52okay she can't feel it anymore when
3094. 2:12:55asked if there is any reason for his
3095. 2:12:57parents blood to be found around the
3096. 2:12:58house Chandler says yes and gives places
3097. 2:13:01where the blood would be found these are
3098. 2:13:02likely the areas where he killed his
3099. 2:13:04parents or places he remembers their
3100. 2:13:06blood being during the attacks Chandler
3101. 2:13:08keeps emphasizing how much his mom would
3102. 2:13:10get terrible nose bleeds and his dad's
3103. 2:13:12psoriasis would cause his leg to bleed
3104. 2:13:14but the amount of blood that would be
3105. 2:13:15found would be insignificant this is
3106. 2:13:17Chandler's way of explaining away
3107. 2:13:19evidence that is yet to be found found
  3108. 2:13:21by the
  3109. 2:13:23police
3110. 2:13:25um is there any reason to believe that
3111. 2:13:27in either one of their vehicles there
3112. 2:13:29would be any of their
  3113. 2:13:33blood their vehicles yeah or anybody's
3114. 2:13:36vehicle I say that um maybe car
3115. 2:13:40trash mom's car trash was definitely the
  3116. 2:13:43past few days my dad's car
3117. 2:13:48trash why would they have blood in their
  3118. 2:13:50car
3119. 2:13:52trashes well my mom does the bloody
3120. 2:13:55noses with the air conditioning so okay
3121. 2:13:57in the would we have air conditioning my
3122. 2:13:59mom won't will have to use um uh bring
3123. 2:14:04towels and stuff because in the hot days
  3124. 2:14:07you can't have your windows open you'll
3125. 2:14:09you won't drive well no so air
3126. 2:14:11conditioning my mom will have nose
3127. 2:14:15bades um my dad hasn't had them as much
3128. 2:14:19as she does but he gets them
3129. 2:14:21okay um his are worse than my
3130. 2:14:25Ma's does he ever get them in the house
3131. 2:14:28then or um mostly just with air
  3132. 2:14:31conditioning but sometimes sometimes
  3133. 2:14:34with a
  3134. 2:14:35dehumidifier
3135. 2:14:36okay me personally just in air
3136. 2:14:39conditioning mhm I get them but not as
3137. 2:14:43bad as my parents I is um not bad
  3138. 2:14:49okay all right
  3139. 2:15:02[Music]
  3140. 2:15:07[Music]
  3141. 2:15:15yeah I'm I'm just thinking it's kind of
  3142. 2:15:17absorbing
3143. 2:15:21I just want to make sure that I'm asking
  3144. 2:15:23everything so I don't have to keep
3145. 2:15:24calling me and stuff you know my brother
3146. 2:15:26is he okay Mitch yeah did he make it I
  3147. 2:15:31know that's a long drive he hasn't
3148. 2:15:32called yeah he hasn't called me at all
  3149. 2:15:34so I don't know I don't think they've
3150. 2:15:36ever done a trip like that so so 3 hours
  3151. 2:15:40three and a half
3152. 2:15:46MIT um as far as up at the cabin
3153. 2:15:51when do you think the last time you were
3154. 2:15:53up there personally last year last year
  3155. 2:15:56Memorial Day I believe there wasn't the
  3156. 2:15:59weekend before
  3157. 2:16:00[Music]
  3158. 2:16:03Memorial I didn't make the parade I
3159. 2:16:06never got to go last
3160. 2:16:08year when do you think the last time
3161. 2:16:11your mom or dad were at the cabin before
3162. 2:16:13my dad went when my brother was
  3163. 2:16:15diagnosed with
  3164. 2:16:17diabetes when was
3165. 2:16:19that the weekend before my concussion so
3166. 2:16:231 two three not including this week
3167. 2:16:25three four yeah four four weeks okay he
3168. 2:16:30wasn't born inet no this was it's the
3169. 2:16:32kind weeks ago yeah he went up notice
3170. 2:16:35our Plumbing's gone to crap and he
  3171. 2:16:36bought to a set or something at a a
3172. 2:16:39Fleet Farm or a Home Depot or it's like
  3173. 2:16:43a it's like a 4way converter type thing
3174. 2:16:46for the plumbing something for the cabin
3175. 2:16:49yeah for the cabin PR like a toilet or
3176. 2:16:52yeah we we have a toilet up there
3177. 2:16:53actually now nice um not just an out
3178. 2:16:56house no there is an out
3179. 2:17:00house yeah you want an
  3180. 2:17:02asir I
3181. 2:17:05appreciate what did you say I got that
3182. 2:17:07work yeah was like I thought you said
3183. 2:17:09add or no don't no not that just ad just

  3185. 2:17:15three of them
  3186. 2:17:18work appreciate it you
  3187. 2:17:21thanks D
  3188. 2:17:25yep they on them
3189. 2:17:28right put you put them on your mouth
3190. 2:17:32already no I just got so the plum ones
3191. 2:17:35should CB no no is it is it like uh was
3192. 2:17:39it a sink or a toilet or what was it
3193. 2:17:41with the plumbing that went bad um so
3194. 2:17:44when we have to pour water in every time
3195. 2:17:47we go up to start the pump oh okay so
3196. 2:17:51some reason by pouring water in the
3197. 2:17:54water never Rose in the toilet bowl
3198. 2:17:56apparently so you couldn't flush it you
3199. 2:17:59know the water didn't come to the toilet
3200. 2:18:02mhm um so he need a new thing to stop
3201. 2:18:05whatever the problem was I think leaking
  3202. 2:18:08I don't know I didn't hear everything
3203. 2:18:11from it sure how did he find out about
3204. 2:18:14that he yeah how did he know that there
3205. 2:18:17was a plumbing issue up there well he
3206. 2:18:19went up there just to go see the cabin
3207. 2:18:22oh so when he went up a couple weeks ago
3208. 2:18:23he realized an issue this time he wanted
3209. 2:18:25to fix it well he fixed the the major
3210. 2:18:28issue so it won't be flooding the the
  3211. 2:18:31house okay the
3212. 2:18:33cabin now he wanted the pipe set to redo
3213. 2:18:38it okay because we we need new pipes cuz
  3214. 2:18:42they're
3215. 2:18:45lead and I think we might be moving the
3216. 2:18:48plastic because there's no water here we
  3217. 2:18:51can do plastic
  3218. 2:18:54yeah
3219. 2:19:00um I'm trying to figure out what that
3220. 2:19:02Park was but that was when Mitch
  3221. 2:19:04diabetes the the number
3222. 2:19:07one did Mitch go up there with him what
3223. 2:19:10you well my M and I were kind of with
3224. 2:19:13Mitch all that weekend doing stuff dad
3225. 2:19:16just went to L yep and later that week I
  3226. 2:19:19had my fall
  3227. 2:19:22and I I've just started getting my
  3228. 2:19:24memory back okay
3229. 2:19:26so where did his mom been up there this
3230. 2:19:29year at all mom has not been up there
3231. 2:19:32this year maybe they were up there
3232. 2:19:35before uh no I think Dad Dad did it all
  3233. 2:19:40himself
3234. 2:19:41maybe I think this is first and Mitch
3235. 2:19:45hasn't been to the cabin in a while
3236. 2:19:46right today long than today yeah I
  3237. 2:19:50couldn't say he's been there he didn't
  3238. 2:19:51go last year
3239. 2:19:53okay okay does he kind of do his own
3240. 2:19:56thing or um Mitch hasn't lived with us
3241. 2:19:59or you know like he's got a family now
  3242. 2:20:04dog a girlfriend no kids but cool it's
3243. 2:20:08kind of you know AB time you know how it
3244. 2:20:11is with Brothers yeah he flew the
3245. 2:20:15C got a few of them myself yeah all
  3246. 2:20:18right I've started thinking about that
3247. 2:20:21myself and my parents are trying to
3248. 2:20:23figure that out with me
  3249. 2:20:29mhm
3250. 2:20:31that we got all the background I think
  3251. 2:20:34right yeah I think so so I think it's
3252. 2:20:37time we start talking about what
3253. 2:20:38happened to your parents like the
  3254. 2:20:40truthful
3255. 2:20:41version at this moment Chandler is
  3256. 2:20:44immediately hit by what's commonly
3257. 2:20:46referred to as fight or flight
3258. 2:20:47throughout the interrogation he has been
3259. 2:20:49leading the police getting more more and
3260. 2:20:50more confident as they seem to buy into
3261. 2:20:52his story but now realizes that he is
3262. 2:20:54not getting out of the situation and pay
3263. 2:20:56attention to what he says okay so we
  3264. 2:21:00have like 20 pages of writing we're
3265. 2:21:02going to start with a clean white piece
3266. 2:21:04of paper if you to start telling the
3267. 2:21:05truth okay why because listen listen to
3268. 2:21:08me this is the only chance you're going
3269. 2:21:09to have to tell us the truth okay okay
  3270. 2:21:13what we listen listen I'm I can't tell
3271. 2:21:15you what we know but we know you're not
3272. 2:21:17telling us the truth we know your
3273. 2:21:19parents are no longer what us okay and
  3274. 2:21:21we know the reason
3275. 2:21:23why okay you need to tell the truth
3276. 2:21:26there's listen listen you need to tell
3277. 2:21:29the truth about what happened and just
  3278. 2:21:30tell us why it
3279. 2:21:32happened okay if something happened if
3280. 2:21:35you were defending yourself or if you
3281. 2:21:36just got fed up with stuff you need to
3282. 2:21:39tell us the truth okay this is your
3283. 2:21:41chance to tell us why okay I'm not bsing
  3284. 2:21:46here okay
3285. 2:21:52so can we do that okay okay
3286. 2:21:58um after he was interrogated Chandler
3287. 2:22:01was booked into the Madison County Jail
3288. 2:22:036 days later the only remains that were
3289. 2:22:05ever recovered from Christa Howers were
3290. 2:22:07found in the banks of Lake Wisconsin
3291. 2:22:09being a part of her leg and her foot
3292. 2:22:11Chandler pleaded not guilty to murdering
3293. 2:22:13his parents however the evidence was
3294. 2:22:15damning Chandler remains in prison and
