- 0:04chairman but you can only take so much
- 0:05at some point and all I would do is go
- 0:08to the record and why I would suggest is
- 0:10people look at three emails there's an
- 0:13email going back to June 8th 15th from
- 0:17Jennifer crooks from the EPA that's an
- 0:19agenda for Michigan semiannual call

- 0:26tinker Hyde a briefing paper with the
- 0:28MDEQ talking about the federal led and
- 0:31copper rule including Flint water a 9 10
- 0:3515 there's an EPA email talking about

- 0:39plan about the EPA and the MB hew
- 0:41working together they were in regular

- 0:45things together and when I read these
- 0:47things I'm ready to get sick we need
- 0:50urgency we needed action and there keep
- 0:52on talking and it's not about fighting
- 0:55they're just not getting the job done we
- 0:58messed up in Michigan to begin with by
- 1:00doing two studies instead of corrosion
- 1:02controls that fundamentally caused this
- 1:04problem I have accepted responsibility
- 1:06because those people work for me but
- 1:09it's something different to have this
- 1:11continuing dialogue to say it was solely
- 1:13us this could have been stopped sooner
- 1:15of other people could have also spoken
- 1:17up I'm always going to kick myself that
- 1:20our people should have spoken up I
- 1:21should I ask tougher questions I should
- 1:23have done more but to also say the EPA
- 1:26just didn't get information I just asked
