- 0:00Hello everyone, welcome to my first slow

- 0:14after me. You will repeat after me. This
- 0:18will help you practice your
- 0:19pronunciation,
- 0:21your accent, and your confidence when
- 0:26speaking English. I will speak slowly
- 0:30and clearly during the whole video. I
- 0:34have never seen it before. And we
- 0:38arrived in Bangkok at 400 p.m. It only
- 0:42snowed once. Do you know them all? Let's
- 0:46get started. So, recently I went to
- 0:51South Korea with my older brother. South
- 0:57Korea is what?
- 1:01South Korea is a country. And the
- 1:05capital of South Korea is Soul. Soul.
- 1:10What is Soul?
- 1:13Soul is a city. Soul is a city. Now,
- 1:19this isn't my first trip to South Korea.
- 1:24I have been to South Korea before.
- 1:28Around three years ago, I was an
- 1:32exchange student in South Korea. An
- 1:37exchange student is a student that
- 1:39studies in a different university,
- 1:42usually in a different country for one
- 1:44semester or even two, like in my case.
- 1:50So I studied in Soul, South Korea for
- 1:55two semesters. The university I studied
- 1:59at was Jon University. That was 3 years
- 2:04ago. My first time in South Korea, I had
- 2:09no idea how public transit worked. So,
- 2:13it was very very difficult for me to
- 2:17navigate and get around South Korea, but
- 2:23I figured it out and now I am a
- 2:27professional.
- 2:28I like using neighbor maps because you
- 2:32can't use Google Maps. Google Maps
- 2:35doesn't work in South Korea. So, you
- 2:39have two options.
- 2:42Neighbor maps or cacao maps? I prefer
- 2:47neighbor maps. What do you prefer? So,
- 2:51me and my brother arrived in South Korea
- 2:55on the 28th
- 2:58of November.
- 3:01November is a month and we stayed for
- 3:05exactly one month. So, we left on the
- 3:0928th of December. And I remember that
- 3:15was on a Sunday. A Sunday. Sunday is a
- 3:21day of the week. Sunday. Do you know
- 3:26them all? Monday,
- 3:29Tuesday,
- 3:31Wednesday,
- 3:33Thursday,
- 3:34Friday,
- 3:36Saturday,
- 3:38Sunday. Good job. The area my brother
- 3:41and I stayed in was called Hung. Hung is
- 3:46a neighborhood in Seoul. It is a very
- 3:50popular and trendy neighborhood
- 3:53especially for younger people because
- 3:57there are many universities
- 4:00surrounding Hungai for example Yoni
- 4:04University Iwa women's university soong
- 4:08university Hongik University and there
- 4:12might be more but I don't know them all.
- 4:15I don't know them all.
- 4:18I only know those four universities.
- 4:22During our trip to Korea, we enjoyed a
- 4:26lot of very delicious Korean food. Some
- 4:31of my favorite Korean food include
- 4:34takali,
- 4:35jokal, jimduck, kimchi, jig,
- 4:40and Korean barbecue. Those are my five
- 4:46favorite Korean foods. What are your
- 4:50favorite foods? Let me know in the
- 4:54comments. Make a sentence
- 4:57in the comments. My favorite food is my
- 5:02favorite foods are during our trip in
- 5:07Korea. It only snowed once and only for
- 5:12about 30 minutes. It didn't snow for
- 5:16very long, but it snowed a lot. It
- 5:22snowed a lot. We even made a snowman.
- 5:26And I know Korea is cold, but I didn't
- 5:29expect it to be so cold. When I got
- 5:33there, I was freezing. I wanted to buy a
- 5:38big puffy winter jacket. A big puffy
- 5:42winter jacket to cover my whole body
- 5:46from head to toe. But I decided not to
- 5:51because I would then have to carry that
- 5:55winter jacket with me all throughout
- 5:58Asia because I am going to be visiting
- 6:03many countries in Asia. I have already
- 6:08been to South Korea. I won't be going
- 6:11north. And right now I'm currently in
- 6:16Thailand. I am in Thailand. After
- 6:20Thailand, I will be going to Malaysia,
- 6:24then Vietnam,
- 6:26then China, then India, then Japan, and
- 6:31after that I haven't decided where I
- 6:33want to go. Maybe Taiwan, maybe the
- 6:37Philippines, maybe Indonesia, maybe Hong
- 6:41Kong. There are many places I would like
- 6:44to visit. Now tell me, do you guys enjoy
- 6:49traveling? Do you like to travel? I
- 6:54personally love traveling, but I like
- 6:59staying in one place for at least two
- 7:04weeks. I don't like to travel every day
- 7:09or every week. I like to stay in one
- 7:13place for at least two weeks and if I
- 7:19like it then I'll stay for one month.
- 7:22That is why I stayed in Korea for one
- 7:27month because I knew I would love it.
- 7:31While I was in Korea, I also met up with
- 7:34one of my Korean friends, Johnny, for
- 7:38dinner. We had this raw fish that we
- 7:41wrapped in leaves and put other toppings
- 7:44on before we ate it. I personally am not
- 7:48a huge fan of raw fish, but it is very
- 7:54traditional in Korea to eat that raw
- 7:57fish at the start of winter. So, we went
- 8:00to go and eat it. One of my favorite
- 8:04things to do while I'm in Korea is to
- 8:08visit Gyongbokung Palace. That is the
- 8:11really big and famous palace in Korea.
- 8:17The palace was so beautiful and it was
- 8:21such a beautiful and sunny day the day I
- 8:24went. We also were able to see the
- 8:27changing of the guard. That was a very
- 8:30special thing to see because I have
- 8:33never seen it before. I have never seen
- 8:38the changing of the guard before. And
- 8:41before we left Korea, we got to
- 8:44experience what Christmas was like in
- 8:47Korea. I have never spent Christmas in
- 8:51Korea. This was my first Christmas in
- 8:55Korea and it was very beautiful. We went
- 8:59ice skating. Then we went to the stream
- 9:01with many lanterns. And at the end, we
- 9:05went to a Christmas market. That was a
- 9:09highlight. While I was in Korea, I also
- 9:13did some shopping. Not a lot, but I did
- 9:18buy some things. I bought a pair of
- 9:21shoes. I couldn't decide which pair of
- 9:24shoes to buy, the one on the right or
- 9:27the one on the left. I ended up buying
- 9:30the one on the left since I thought it
- 9:33looked more unique.
- 9:36I also bought two new pairs of jeans,
- 9:40one blue pair and one black pair. And I
- 9:44bought one pair of sweatpants. Overall,
- 9:48my trip to Korea was amazing. I love
- 9:52Korea. After our month in Korea, we took
- 9:56a flight from Seoul to Bangkok. Our
- 10:00flight was at 12:00 p.m. and we arrived
- 10:03in Bangkok at 400 p.m. It was a 6-hour
- 10:07flight, but with the time change, it was
- 10:09only 400 p.m. in Bangkok. We have been
- 10:13here for a few days now. We've spent New
- 10:16Year's here and we have visited many
- 10:19temples and palaces. If you guys want to
- 10:23hear about my trip to Bangkok or more
- 10:27about my trip to Korea, make sure to let
- 10:30me know in the comments that you want
- 10:32more slow English podcasts. If you guys
- 10:37like this type of video, I will make

- 10:43today is take out your phone, open up
- 10:45your camera, and record yourself talking
- 10:48about what you learned today. Today, I
- 10:51learned
- 10:53I want to travel to
- 10:56my favorite food is. So, your homework
- 11:00is to answer those questions and record
- 11:03yourself with your phone. This will
- 11:06allow you to track your progress. If you
- 11:08guys want to get more videos like these,
- 11:11check out my Patreon because I post
- 11:14there three times a week. The most
- 11:17important part of learning a language
- 11:19and the reason why everyone learns a
- 11:21language is to be able to speak the
- 11:24language. These videos help you with
- 11:26your listening. But how can you practice
- 11:28your speaking even more? You need to
- 11:30practice by shadowing. Shadowing is just
- 11:33repeating after a native English speaker
- 11:35to practice your pronunciation, your
- 11:38accent, and your confidence. And I've
- 11:40started making videos specifically just
- 11:42to practice those three things. So, if
- 11:45you guys want to become more confident
- 11:46in English and become truly fluent,
- 11:49check out my Patreon in the description
- 11:51where I give you guys three new videos
- 11:53every week to practice your
- 11:55pronunciation, your accent, and most
- 11:58importantly, your confidence. I'll see
- 12:00you guys there. We are going to be
- 12:02learning English as I clean up my
- 12:05pronunciation, your accent, [music]
- 12:07your rhythm, and your confidence. It was
- 12:09just a roundabout way of her politely
- 12:12trying to spare my feelings. The a-hole
- 12:14for giving all of my co-workers a
- 12:16different reason for why I have missing
- 12:19fingers [music] so I wouldn't take
- 12:21legal. Came down to he companywide
- 12:23training on his behavior. He chooses
- 12:25not. But I was already so cranky.
- 12:29Okay, so we're in um I did so much
- 12:31shopping in Mushima. The jeans and one
- 12:34hoodie which
- 12:37this lesson I want you to shadow [music]
- 12:39you will become fluent in English. Bye
- 12:43guys.
