  35. 1:06this
  36. 1:06is great it's not really used for a high
  37. 1:10intensity workout
  38. 1:11although if you go at the pace that i
  39. 1:12went at the beginning of this video your
  40. 1:14heart rate will
  41. 1:15race and you get a great workout on but
  42. 1:17this is mainly used for technique
  43. 1:19getting better head moving and footwork
  44. 1:22learning how to punch and move
  45. 1:24at the same time as well as moving ahead
  46. 1:25so you're working a lot of different
  47. 1:27things here and
  48. 1:28it can be pretty advanced you can do a
  49. 1:30lot of advanced things on here
  50. 1:32and on this video i'm going to show you
  51. 1:34some different things that you can do
  52. 1:36some basic things and some
  53. 1:37advanced movements as well that will
  54. 1:40ultimately help you get better at boxing
  55. 1:42so the benefits of this
  56. 1:43can be endless you know you're getting
  57. 1:45used to
  58. 1:46rolling and stepping at the same time
  59. 1:48you're getting used to punching
  60. 1:50rolling and stepping at the same time
  61. 1:51i'm going to break it all down for you
  62. 1:52so don't think about oh that was
  63. 1:54too much but i want to break all that
  64. 1:55down for you but uh when boxing
  65. 1:58you need to know how to punch and step
  66. 2:00you need to know how to roll in step
  67. 2:02you need to know how to move your head
  68. 2:03you need to get comfortable at moving
  69. 2:05your head
  70. 2:05because this for a lot of people who was
  71. 2:09not
  72. 2:10that experienced at boxing
  73. 2:13can't feel uncomfortable and i see this
  74. 2:16often on this channel you know you need
  75. 2:18to get
  76. 2:18comfortable at being uncomfortable in
  77. 2:22boxing to get better at it you know i
  78. 2:23mean if you think about it
  79. 2:25in boxing someone is throwing punches at
  80. 2:27your face you need to get comfortable
  81. 2:29with that
  82. 2:30so before you get there you know let's
  83. 2:32let's
  84. 2:33let's get here all right so let's start
  85. 2:36off with some basic stuff
  86. 2:37now what you want to do firstly you want
  87. 2:40to get
  88. 2:40the rope or the hand up whatever you're
  89. 2:43using
  90. 2:43your shoulder height there this is my
  91. 2:46shoulder height
  92. 2:47if it was here no this is too high
  93. 2:50if it's here it's too low the reason why
  94. 2:52you want to show the height or like chin
  95. 2:54height here is because
  96. 2:55if you think this is where people will
  97. 2:57be punching you this high here
  98. 2:59and that's what we need to thinking of
  99. 3:02like we rolling under we roll under them
  100. 3:04punches so you want to get
  101. 3:05to the side of it and it's always good
  102. 3:07to stand with
  103. 3:09this on your lead side me being orthodox
  104. 3:11it's my left side here
  105. 3:13and all i'm going to do is start off
  106. 3:15with is i'm going to
  107. 3:16step my front foot to the side and roll
  108. 3:19my head like the letter u keep
  109. 3:21my eyes up put my chin down and then my
  110. 3:24back foot will follow
  111. 3:25now this shoulder is underneath here now
  112. 3:28again now when i'm rolling i don't want
  113. 3:32to roll too much
  114. 3:33where i've come too far away from that
  115. 3:36because that's
  116. 3:36pretty unrealistic if my opponent's
  117. 3:38standing there i'm not really going to
  118. 3:39come to this side
  119. 3:40and be here so you want to always want
  120. 3:42to keep it so it's just come back at
  121. 3:44your shoulder
  122. 3:45like here now a common mistake with this
  123. 3:47this is the most basic thing by the way
  124. 3:49but the common mistake i see with this
  125. 3:51would be would be this
  126. 3:54you see what i'm doing there like moving
  127. 3:56your neck
  128. 3:57this is what you're not doing you're not
  129. 3:59moving your neck you're bending your
  130. 4:01knees so you're bending your knees
  131. 4:02keeping your core
  132. 4:03nice and tight but relaxed at the same
  133. 4:05time here
  134. 4:06and not once does my neck move anywhere
  135. 4:09i'm here i'm here the way i'm moving
  136. 4:12side to side is with the feet
  137. 4:14step step step step step step step step
  138. 4:17now this is
  139. 4:17like i said a basic way of using
  140. 4:20the the slip line now once you're
  141. 4:22comfortable with that then what you can
  142. 4:24start do you can start moving forwards
  143. 4:26and backwards
  144. 4:26and the way you do that now rather than
  145. 4:28stepping just directly to me left with
  146. 4:30me front foot
  147. 4:31now i'm going to step diagonal forward
  148. 4:34and left
  149. 4:35so i'm going to come here and then the
  150. 4:37back foot follows
  151. 4:38you seeing that so i come diagonal which
  152. 4:40is making me move forward
  153. 4:41now from the right side i'm going to
  154. 4:43step
  155. 4:44forward and to the right just a little
  156. 4:48bit again a common mistake i see on this
  157. 4:50will be people they'll roll to the left
  158. 4:52like this
  159. 4:53and they'll go to the right and they'll
  160. 4:55step this foot forward you never ever
  161. 4:57ever
  162. 4:58in boxing want to have your back foot in
  163. 5:00front of your foot for
  164. 5:01in front of your front foot easy for me
  165. 5:04to see it because now i'm off balance
  166. 5:05you want to keep that back foot behind
  167. 5:08your front foot
  168. 5:09but still slightly moving forward now
  169. 5:11i've moved forward
  170. 5:12then to the left diagonal to the right
  171. 5:15and i'm keeping that head
  172. 5:16here just next to the rope there
  173. 5:21that's moving forward we want to move
  174. 5:22backwards as well you want to move
  175. 5:23forwards and backwards so when you're
  176. 5:24moving backwards with this
  177. 5:26the same things apply but obviously now
  178. 5:28you're going to move when you move
  179. 5:29backwards you're going to move your back
  180. 5:30foot first diagonal back
  181. 5:32with a step and the same with your front
  182. 5:34foot you're not going to bring it back
  183. 5:36and cross your feet you want to keep it
  184. 5:37in front of your back foot
  185. 5:39slight step there then we're there then
  186. 5:42you can move forward and backwards
  187. 5:44now once you're getting comfortable
  188. 5:46doing this now you can start doing
  189. 5:48some freestyle stuff just moving
  190. 5:50forwards and backwards getting used to
  191. 5:52moving forwards and backwards and that
  192. 5:54right there is is great and that'll
  193. 5:56really help you so that's what you want
  194. 5:57to start with
  195. 5:58the very b6 so now let's throw some
  196. 6:00punches and then rule now
  197. 6:02a great rule of thumb here is when
  198. 6:04you're rolling to your left make sure
  199. 6:06you finish with a left side punch
  200. 6:08because if i throw one two i'm not in a
  201. 6:11position
  202. 6:11really now to roll to me left as this
  203. 6:14comes back
  204. 6:16right i'm off balance but if i throw one
  205. 6:19two hook
  206. 6:20now here i'm in the perfect position to
  207. 6:23get under
  208. 6:24now if i throw one two finish on the
  209. 6:26right side i'm in the perfect position
  210. 6:28to roll on the one two hook roll on the
  211. 6:31one two rule on it now it doesn't matter
  212. 6:33what punch you throw just as long as
  213. 6:35when i'm rolling left i finish with
  214. 6:37a punch on the left side so it might be
  215. 6:38a one two left double quote
  216. 6:40roll it could be a one two one
  217. 6:43right uppercut roll to me right whatever
  218. 6:45hand
  219. 6:46you finish punching on that's beside
  220. 6:47your ruler all the time and that's
  221. 6:49what's going to help uh help with the
  222. 6:51rule help with the balance because
  223. 6:52everything's
  224. 6:54balanced with this as well you know we
  225. 6:55focused on balance so get used to doing
  226. 6:57that
  227. 6:58one step back
  228. 7:06as long as you're just finishing on that
  229. 7:07side and now we can what you can do
  230. 7:09you can start advancing it a little bit
  231. 7:11more so
  232. 7:13now let's just see i go through uh one
  233. 7:15two one
  234. 7:18then we'll step you see what i did i'm
  235. 7:20stepping forward
  236. 7:21and then roll the step i go through a
  237. 7:24one one
  238. 7:25two little step and now moving backwards
  239. 7:27the same thing applies so i can throw a
  240. 7:29one two hook rule step one one two rule
  241. 7:32step
  242. 7:33as long as i'm finishing on the correct
  243. 7:34side one more thing i want to see on
  244. 7:35this a big reminder a big big reminder
  245. 7:38is when you're throwing the punches
  246. 7:39bring them back to your face
  247. 7:41before you roll step and when you're
  248. 7:42rolling your hands need to be up
  249. 7:44i'll see it often where people go back
  250. 7:46back
  251. 7:48back hands down hands down hands down
  252. 7:51now
  253. 7:51now i might look like roy jones junior
  254. 7:53or i might look like prince nazim
  255. 7:54hammond here but guess what
  256. 7:56i'm not i'm not roy jones junior i'm not
  257. 7:58prince lazim harvard so i'm not going to
  258. 8:00do that right
  259. 8:01so keep your hands up while you are
  260. 8:03rolling and stepping so that's it there
  261. 8:05practicing it practicing it with the
  262. 8:07basics then start adding on
  263. 8:08and now the more advanced stuff that i
  264. 8:10said i promised that i was going to show
  265. 8:12you now before i show you this advanced
  266. 8:14stuff i just want to tell you
  267. 8:16about one thing and that one thing is
  268. 8:18this
  269. 8:19this not this i want to tell you about
  270. 8:22this
  271. 8:22this is this the vitamins that i'm
  272. 8:24taking daily
  273. 8:26every day and every night buy on it the
  274. 8:28total human complete supplement pack and
  275. 8:30this
  276. 8:30is recommended by the likes of joe rogan
  277. 8:33cowboy cebroni these are great and these
  278. 8:37are a game changer for me so the comb
  279. 8:40and these two
  280. 8:40little packets here i'm going to show
  281. 8:42you what the packets are we've got the
  282. 8:44day
  283. 8:44time and the night time you take these
  284. 8:46when you're up in the morning you take
  285. 8:47these when you go to bed at night
  286. 8:49they've made it super simple there's so
  287. 8:51many different
  288. 8:51vitamins and minerals minerals out there
  289. 8:54that you can take
  290. 8:56and you know it's complicated you don't
  291. 8:58know which ones are which
  292. 8:59should i take this one should i take out
  293. 9:00one what arnold have done with
  294. 9:02these they've packed all of the goodness
  295. 9:04in each pack
  296. 9:05and the daytime ones give you lots of
  297. 9:07will give me lots of clarity
  298. 9:09throughout the day help my memory
  299. 9:12support my focus and certainly support
  300. 9:14me
  301. 9:14energy when i'm making these videos and
  302. 9:16creating content and doing what i'm
  303. 9:18doing
  304. 9:18running business on a daily basis and
  305. 9:21the evening
  306. 9:22vitamins what these are great for is for
  307. 9:24me is
  308. 9:25chilling out relaxing stopping any
  309. 9:27anxiety what i might be thinking about
  310. 9:29work
  311. 9:29trying to switch off my creative brain
  312. 9:32and helping me
  313. 9:33get a great night's sleep and i can't
  314. 9:35recommend these things highly enough and
  315. 9:37guys if you go to on it
  316. 9:39dot com forward slash boxing you will
  317. 9:41get 10 percent of these and
  318. 9:43if you know me by now you know i don't
  319. 9:45recommend any bs
  320. 9:47these are not bs these are legit as
  321. 9:49legit as they come
  322. 9:50and i absolutely love them can't
  323. 9:52recommend them highly enough so go to
  324. 9:53honor.com
  325. 9:54forward slash boxing get yourself some
  326. 9:56of them and watch
  327. 9:57your life get better that's what i think
  328. 9:59it's done for me so hopefully
  329. 10:01it will do it for you as well all right
  330. 10:03now let me show you some advanced stuff
  331. 10:06on this here so we've worked on
  332. 10:09stepping punching rolling
  333. 10:12stepping punching rolling now what i'm
  334. 10:14going to do
  335. 10:15is i'm going to roll it step and punch
  336. 10:18at the same time so a great combination
  337. 10:20that i like to do with this
  338. 10:21is a one two roll step
  339. 10:25hook to the body that is great now if
  340. 10:27you think this combination just here i'm
  341. 10:29going to break it down for y'all four
  342. 10:30one
  343. 10:31two right i'm rolling and stepping if
  344. 10:33he's through the left hook on me
  345. 10:34that left hook is going over my head
  346. 10:36i'll go underneath it
  347. 10:38as i'm stepping boom that left hook
  348. 10:40coming out hitting them in the body
  349. 10:42and then they're moving from this side i
  350. 10:44can throw
  351. 10:45a jab roll step across to the body
  352. 10:48so there's two group combinations there
  353. 10:50a one two
  354. 10:52one step with a hook a jab back across
  355. 10:54to the body
  356. 10:55or you could do a one two one to the
  357. 10:58body
  358. 10:59jab to the head cross to the body hook
  359. 11:01to the head
  360. 11:02as long as you're stepping keep those
  361. 11:03feet underneath you keeping your head
  362. 11:04close to this
  363. 11:05that's good and then you can start to
  364. 11:07speed it up and it'll look like this
  365. 11:12then moving forwards and backwards let's
  366. 11:14put some little uppercuts in there
  367. 11:18just head moving on and so on look i'm
  368. 11:20not even hitting that
  369. 11:22the hand wrap i'm moving now this is a
  370. 11:24good work i move forward backwards
  371. 11:26one one two one step hook the body oh
  372. 11:28that's nice
  373. 11:29yes but now i'm 36 years old i'm getting
  374. 11:34tired ah anyway guys some great things
  375. 11:37for you to practice there
