- 0:00welcome back not enough projects today
- 0:02we are back on the 1948 Packard super 8.
- 0:06last time we got this thing running
- 0:07after sitting for almost 40 years this
- 0:10time we're gonna try to get it driving
- 0:11hopefully do a yard drive by the end of
- 0:12this video I think we're going to start
- 0:14by tearing into the fuel system so let's
- 0:16get to it and that's pretty nice today
- 0:17we got rain and snow going on so I threw
- 0:19the hood back on and to anybody who was
- 0:21yelling at me at first I now realize
- 0:25that the hood doesn't have a hinge it's
- 0:27got the safety catches which I was I
- 0:29knew about and then there's these
- 0:32latches that are actuated on each side
- 0:34of the car from inside
- 0:38right here there's one on both sides and
- 0:41that sucks the hood down and it opens up
- 0:43to the side just like that
- 0:45by only undoing one of these and lifting
- 0:48it up and putting the hole on before we
- 0:51even try to hook up the fuel tank or a
- 0:53fuel tank to the fuel pump or whatever I
- 0:55took this off because I figured there's
- 0:57a fuel filter in here
- 0:58and
- 1:00never seen anything like this
- 1:02it's just like a weird fiber piece it's
- 1:05not like normal filter
- 1:07but I guess it's how
- 1:09it was done back in the day
- 1:11looks like she's brand new too
- 1:13because I wouldn't be surprised if this
- 1:15carb has a new rebuild kit in it
- 1:18so set that to the side and see if we
- 1:20can fill just from in here
- 1:24you know I don't even see an accelerator
- 1:25bumper here
- 1:28there's an extra linkage with like a
- 1:30little diaphragm
- 1:34this has been an old style Carter but
- 1:36maybe it's so small and such a big
- 1:38engine it doesn't need one I don't know
- 1:42so we'll throw a little bit dinner
- 1:43through
- 1:44I gotta go turn the ignition on and
- 1:46we'll see if she just runs off the curb
- 1:48all right here we go
- 1:50[Music]
- 2:03and it seems like it's not
- 2:05working properly
- 2:07because you can see it'll keep running
- 2:09if I bottle feed it but
- 2:11it looks like the level in the bowl is
- 2:13going down
- 2:15but maybe the Jets plugged up with some
- 2:17crap so it's not flown quite enough yeah
- 2:19it kind of seems like the idle circuit
- 2:20support dip because it'll run off the
- 2:23carb if I hold the throttle open a
- 2:25decent amount yeah so I think the carp's
- 2:28gonna have to come off and come apart
- 2:30but that's not a big deal it's a pretty
- 2:32simple carb
- 2:34drank the whole bottle guessing the fuel
- 2:36economy on these rigs is
- 2:38uh not optimal now let's get that card
- 2:41popped off
- 2:42the bottom of the cart
- 2:45I wonder if that's some kind of vacuum
- 2:47line I can't see where it goes down to
- 2:49because we've got the hood on yeah
- 2:50before we pulled it off I should have
- 2:52done the old rebuild with your hand
- 2:54trick when you rev It Up
- 2:56plug your hand over in the vacuum will
- 2:58pull calcium
- 3:01circuits
- 3:03that we're already this far that's the
- 3:05successor then that's met oh here's the
- 3:08exterior pump it to it on the back side
- 3:11I'm sure the diagram sort of shot
- 3:15got a couple hard lines let me show you
- 3:17here
- 3:18so we've got this coming off the exhaust
- 3:20manifold I'm sure it's probably a heat
- 3:22riser
- 3:23to warm the carb up or um
- 3:26oh I see
- 3:27this is the choke
- 3:29it looks like
- 3:30um
- 3:32it's similar to an electric choke which
- 3:35basically it starts disengaging the
- 3:39choke as a heating element heats up from
- 3:41the electricity
- 3:43this is the same principle I'm guessing
- 3:45I don't know where it just takes the
- 3:47heat from the exhaust manifold once the
- 3:49exhaust gases heat up the choke coil
- 3:52enough the coil starts disengaging the
- 3:56choke and we actually saw that happening
- 3:57I think if that wasn't just me messing
- 4:00with the throttle
- 4:02it's already loose
- 4:04okay then we've got
- 4:06a small little heart line down here I'm
- 4:08guessing it's a vacuum line
- 4:10I don't see what else it could be that's
- 4:13a tiny little guy
- 4:15what is that 3 8 maybe sure we're not
- 4:17gonna spin the line with the nut
- 4:20we're good
- 4:22we also have what I'm guessing is the
- 4:26kick down switch Maybe
- 4:32honestly not sure
- 4:34I thought this was part of the
- 4:36um
- 4:37choke initially but it's not this is
- 4:39obviously the choke and it's not
- 4:42controlled by the electric
- 4:44signal it's by the heat from the
- 4:46manifold so I'm guessing that's the kick
- 4:48down for the overdrive because it'll
- 4:50automatically kick down
- 4:52and anyways we need a flathead for that
- 4:54so grab that they're just here uh is
- 4:57this live right now
- 5:00I would hope not I don't know what that
- 5:02noise was sounded like a spark I don't
- 5:05know if you heard it
- 5:06there we go
- 5:08have we still got some smokeage coming
- 5:11out yeah we got some crud done on the
- 5:14intake looks like well that's just gas I
- 5:17think down there and then we have a tiny
- 5:19bit of surface rust there's a little
- 5:20fuzzy down there
- 5:25save that gasket get this covered up and
- 5:27then we can take the carb over to the
- 5:30bench and get it torn down all right
- 5:31let's pop this carb apart and see what
- 5:34we're working with not even one and a
- 5:36half turns out
- 5:38not really too pretty
- 5:41just about one turnout
- 5:43this should give us access to the Bowl
- 5:48see if I get smaller Flathead
- 5:51I don't know if you guys can see that
- 5:52but it's cast into the curve it says oil
- 5:55under screws different sizes
- 6:00short one goes over here
- 6:05okay that just gives us access to the
- 6:08linkages okay
- 6:10so here's our accelerator pump oh no
- 6:12this might be uh
- 6:17kind of a funky setup
- 6:19we got a switch here or some kind of
- 6:22valve here on both sides yes I think
- 6:24this is the accelerator pump but it
- 6:26doesn't
- 6:28get actuated
- 6:31throttle linkage moving
- 6:34and I would I'm guessing because I don't
- 6:36I haven't actually looks an exploded
- 6:37diagram of this card or anything there's
- 6:39the plunger and it pushes down and
- 6:42squirts fuel through some kind of
- 6:44Passage but you can see it doesn't move
- 6:47with the rest of the linkage
- 6:51nor is it supposed to it looks like it's
- 6:53supposed to be like that but it is
- 6:55connected by a spring
- 6:58oh there we go seized up okay Frida
- 7:03so yeah this is our accelerator pump I
- 7:04think who knows if it's gonna work
- 7:07okay
- 7:08there's some screws down here
- 7:11might be like a drain
- 7:16oh wait that might not be a screw
- 7:20plugs I think they're just plugs well
- 7:23let's pop the top off of this section
- 7:27looks like there's some different leg
- 7:29screws too
- 7:30long one back here
- 7:33and I don't remember
- 7:36the other one
- 7:37I don't really see
- 7:40how it matters because they're both the
- 7:42same length casting so oil under screws
- 7:46oh I see okay so when you take the
- 7:49screws out
- 7:50these are drilled all the way through to
- 7:52the shaft and the oil just seeps down to
- 7:55the shaft to make sure it stays
- 7:57lubricated here and here
- 7:59lots of oil points on this car well all
- 8:01old cars but I think I did it off camera
- 8:03but I did oil the generator
- 8:08bearings just because I was wondering if
- 8:09those were making the noise
- 8:13that horrible squealing noise which it
- 8:15kind of has gone away
- 8:18I guess it may be the belt slipping I
- 8:20don't know how tight it is I haven't
- 8:22really looked at it very closely
- 8:26oh nope gotta take the linkage off
- 8:34kind of nifty
- 8:38so we've got a square there and a
- 8:40linkage and
- 8:42this little retaining clip is also
- 8:43squared so you push it down and twist it
- 8:45off it comes
- 8:48we're hitting on whatever that is
- 8:53no there's your flute
- 8:59but we're hitting here so
- 9:02take that linkage off
- 9:05something to do with the choke limiting
- 9:07the choke
- 9:08oh
- 9:09we probably have to take
- 9:11this top section of the cargo first
- 9:18figuring this spring out is going to be
- 9:20fun
- 9:22I didn't mention it before this is a
- 9:24Carter wdo
- 9:26because it was used on some pretty big
- 9:29number of older cars and Studebakers or
- 9:31well obviously Packards I don't know
- 9:34what else used them but
- 9:36I've never messed with them before safe
- 9:38to say
- 9:39it would be weird if there's only those
- 9:40two screws but I can't see
- 9:45any others
- 9:49surprised if you had to take the whole
- 9:51thing apart just to clean it
- 9:57it's definitely hitting right there
- 9:59yeah
- 10:02it's inside
- 10:04a new washer
- 10:06there we go
- 10:10gaskets intact still so that's good
- 10:12so there's our choke Tower
- 10:15got a couple Jets right there
- 10:17those may be the squirters for the
- 10:22um
- 10:24accelerator pump
- 10:26just guessing
- 10:28but maybe for something else
- 10:30because maybe that may be our Idol
- 10:33circuit it comes in from there
- 10:35I don't know I'm just guessing obviously
- 10:39see if our gasket will come off on
- 10:41Escape
- 10:43nice
- 10:48now this should be able to come out
- 10:53yep
- 10:56that went there I think these are
- 10:58meeting metering rods I'm no carb expert
- 11:01but
- 11:02think that's what these are
- 11:05here's our
- 11:07accelerator pump
- 11:12that seal probably will come back
- 11:16doesn't look terrible
- 11:20and our needle and seat
- 11:25does appear to be working at least let's
- 11:27see
- 11:30cover that hole
- 11:36yeah it's working that's good
- 11:40bowl is a little dirty
- 11:43just some Rust it's not
- 11:47the worst but yeah definitely needs
- 11:50cleaned
- 11:51and we've got some Jets down in there
- 11:57luckily that came out easy
- 12:09with the bowl looking like it is these
- 12:12are probably filthy
- 12:13and plugged
- 12:25that's actually a really big
- 12:27Passage
- 12:29not plugged at all but we'll take it out
- 12:33hopefully not forget where it goes
- 12:38looks okay too
- 12:44here's the accelerator pump spring
- 12:49more Jets up here
- 12:54you gotta be careful with these because
- 12:55a lot of times they're made out of brass
- 12:58and if you don't get the screwdriver in
- 13:00just right they'll
- 13:02go
- 13:03and well the threads are a lot of times
- 13:05gold and when you try to turn it if you
- 13:09don't have a screwdriver that fits
- 13:10really well
- 13:11it'll
- 13:12just totally round off the the flat you
- 13:16can see even with that it kind of made a
- 13:18spot this look okay too
- 13:23pretty big jets
- 13:25see these are like valves
- 13:28or something
- 13:30looks like they've got a hex that turns
- 13:32out so we'll get a couple more Jets way
- 13:34down in there
- 13:36let's see if we can get those out
- 13:37luckily nothing in this carb is
- 13:40too crazy stuck I'm sure these aren't
- 13:42the easiest to find or the cheapest
- 13:45that one looks plugged up maybe where
- 13:48our issue is
- 13:50same story here
- 13:53going to do it
- 13:55see that's likely I'm guessing our idle
- 14:00circuit
- 14:02makes sense because they're kind of in
- 14:03line with the idle mix screws don't know
- 14:06if there's anything else we really need
- 14:07to take apart you take the this top
- 14:11portion off of the
- 14:13lower throttle body area but I don't
- 14:16think we need to do that should be able
- 14:18to just blow through all of these
- 14:20passages with carb clean maybe we'll
- 14:23take these plugs out I don't know where
- 14:25that gets us another Jack because that's
- 14:27good we took those out we have a couple
- 14:29seals it looks like
- 14:32just leave them
- 14:34these are big
- 14:39it's like our seal came out with that
- 14:40one yeah I'm curious what's our where
- 14:42throttle Chef plays like there's some
- 14:45but it's not crazy sloppy
- 14:48oh yeah we're gonna pop these out
- 14:52I don't know what size these are not
- 14:54three eighths not seven sixteenths
- 14:56this size yeah there you go
- 15:01I don't know what that is
- 15:04just a throttle linkage
- 15:09see how much I can get my eyes
- 15:14let that sit for a while
- 15:16that's taking off all this paint
- 15:19yeah look at that bubbling all of it off
- 15:23curious if the uh accelerator pump will
- 15:27come back
- 15:29I feel like building suction so it might
- 15:33that's going to be our biggest thing is
- 15:34if we got to replace that seal in case
- 15:36we should probably go through and clean
- 15:37all this stuff too
- 15:40you know that stuff's pretty good
- 15:42so we can clean these Jets
- 15:46yeah we're gonna have to push something
- 15:47through there something really thin uh
- 15:50like a strand from copper wire that'll
- 15:52do that or a wire brush bristle
- 15:56thin enough
- 15:59yeah man that is clogged solid
- 16:01there we go yeah I'm guessing that was
- 16:03our issue
- 16:06yeah there we go one down oh that one
- 16:10wasn't as bad the other one was like
- 16:12plugged solid could hardly push this
- 16:14through it
- 16:16yeah there we go these valves there's
- 16:20some grime
- 16:22but overall they actually look fine
- 16:24apparently carb cleaner is not
- 16:26compatible with Band-Aids
- 16:28these mixture screws are fine too this
- 16:31bowl just needs a little bit more love
- 16:34then I think we're gonna be fine just
- 16:37slapping it back together
- 16:39didn't even break any gaskets which is
- 16:41pretty sweet for something this old you
- 16:43can get rebuild kits for these I found
- 16:45they're only like 50 bucks too but I
- 16:48mean there's not much to replace in here
- 16:50it's just the gaskets really in the
- 16:52accelerator pump seal but the newer
- 16:55style carbs
- 16:56um when the accelerator pumps instead of
- 16:58a plunger like this
- 17:01with this seal a lot of them have a
- 17:04rubber diaphragm that flexes and that's
- 17:06how it pumps the fuel those diaphragms
- 17:09dry out
- 17:10pretty often when stuff is sitting and
- 17:14they'll get brittle and crack and
- 17:15obviously they're not going to pump
- 17:17so those ones fail I think this one
- 17:19might come back
- 17:20just because it's because of the type of
- 17:22seal that it is but we'll see worst case
- 17:24we've got to get a new seal for it not a
- 17:26big deal
- 17:27cool looks like we got all this stuff
- 17:28out let's go over
- 17:31some of these ceiling surfaces with a
- 17:33razor blade there's some residual cork
- 17:36or whatever on this
- 17:38lower surface should have done this
- 17:40before we cleaned it
- 17:43or maybe we should have left it so they
- 17:44would seal with the
- 17:46gasket that was left on the intake
- 17:48manifold but whatever we're already this
- 17:50far okay I think we're looking pretty
- 17:52good now
- 17:54we just remember everything goes back
- 17:55which
- 17:57hopefully won't be that bad since I just
- 17:59took it apart
- 18:01and I got the video
- 18:03think these were here
- 18:06yeah it seems right
- 18:09carbs are usually made out of like pot
- 18:11metal basically just like
- 18:13I don't really know I think it's like
- 18:14zinc and all kinds of weird stuff that
- 18:16they just pour into castings and it's
- 18:19kind of brittle and not very strong
- 18:22so you got to be careful when you're
- 18:23screwing stuff in you really don't need
- 18:25to Reef on it
- 18:27where should we take jet out of got two
- 18:30more left
- 18:32it's on the outside wasn't just trying
- 18:33to pull its seal out oh yeah it wasn't
- 18:36here we got our seals
- 18:40inner plugs basically the seal over time
- 18:43has I don't know if it's shrunk or wet
- 18:45but it doesn't let the plug go through
- 18:48so I'm just threading them on
- 18:51before we put the plug down
- 18:54as well do our mix screws while we're
- 18:56here
- 18:57we'll go uh turn and a half out on both
- 19:00of them one two well
- 19:03three half turns so turn and a half out
- 19:05cool and we'll get this upper section
- 19:08back on everything here looked okay as
- 19:10far as I could see gasket's in good
- 19:12shape
- 19:14this is getting stuck a little bit maybe
- 19:16I'll try to oil it or something okay
- 19:18that seemed to help other than that we
- 19:20should be good in here
- 19:22I'm gonna put these
- 19:24rods back in see I think these are
- 19:26vacuum operated I'm gonna make sure we
- 19:29get our spring back on here
- 19:33we did after the leave yeah it should go
- 19:36like that
- 19:38okay there we go
- 19:40Saturday pumps moving
- 19:43so basically
- 19:45what this linkage is doing it looks like
- 19:47I'm just guessing here because I'm no
- 19:50expert on a Carver wdo by any means when
- 19:53we're Full Throttle
- 19:57this does not this linkage does not
- 20:00allow those rods to go down or closed
- 20:03throttle the rods can either
- 20:04remain up
- 20:06for
- 20:09they can move down or not I don't know
- 20:12why it's not going down so the rods go
- 20:14down into those Jets we saw so it should
- 20:17rich in the mixture when it's up so we
- 20:19go Full Throttle yet that would make
- 20:21sense because it Full Throttle forces
- 20:24the rods up enriches the mixture I don't
- 20:27know maybe the plunger is just
- 20:30to basically work with the spring and
- 20:33force the rods up I don't know not a big
- 20:36deal
- 20:36that we don't know because that's just
- 20:39how it works I am a little confused on
- 20:42these uh valves because it doesn't look
- 20:44like at any point they could open
- 20:48think I don't think our throttle step
- 20:51screws too far out
- 20:52I mean it'll press them down a little
- 20:54bit maybe that's all it needs I don't
- 20:56know question is which one does the
- 20:58little screw go to
- 20:59oh I wonder if these are supposed to
- 21:02both be
- 21:03short screws for the cover
- 21:06and somebody mixed them up at some point
- 21:07because the short screw doesn't really
- 21:10make sense here
- 21:11so you have a few threads it's grabbing
- 21:15I think that's what we're dealing with
- 21:17plus that long one was the one giving us
- 21:18trouble on the cover so
- 21:21makes sense
- 21:22that it doesn't belong there oh shoot
- 21:25we forgot our accelerator pump return
- 21:28spring didn't we whoops at least I
- 21:30noticed it now
- 21:32follow the instructions it'll boil under
- 21:34the screws
- 21:35get that linkage sorted
- 21:38hopefully our excitatory pump will work
- 21:39now
- 21:40here pushing air
- 21:43that's a good sign cool
- 21:45cover on
- 21:48you pressure get our choke tower on
- 21:51don't think anything in here needs
- 21:52cleaned maybe I'll spray through those
- 21:55Jets right there
- 21:57yes it's going through the passage
- 21:59it should be good there oh look at that
- 22:03screw
- 22:04there's a little jet passage in it
- 22:08clean now that should be our inner one
- 22:13that makes sense because that's where
- 22:14the
- 22:15Jets we sprayed out right before feed
- 22:18from this one here
- 22:22got a brass tag with all the paint
- 22:24coming off of it it's kind of a needle
- 22:26logo look at that Carter
- 22:29car
- 22:30beer Carter carburetor pretty neat final
- 22:35linkage here it's for a choke
- 22:38gotta figure out how the spring goes
- 22:40kind of a funky spring
- 22:43should go something like that
- 22:47there we go I think that makes sense
- 22:49Maybe
- 22:54that seem right
- 22:57not really
- 22:59Maybe
- 23:03maybe like that
- 23:07yeah Spring's not doing anything I'm
- 23:10gonna look back at the video and see if
- 23:11I can see how that went yeah I think
- 23:13that's correct ish so it should be fine
- 23:16it's just the chocolate [ __ ] definitely
- 23:18got that
- 23:19screw inside tight I would hate for that
- 23:21to fall in the engine
- 23:23other than that
- 23:26I think we can bolt it back up oh yeah
- 23:27we got our little
- 23:29filter thing but we're going to feed
- 23:31through there anyways so we can leave it
- 23:33open for now
- 23:34so yeah let's get it bolted up and see
- 23:37if it can run now without having to
- 23:39bottle feed it I love the names they
- 23:40gave stuff like this in the
- 23:43you know back in the 40s 50s Carter
- 23:45climatic control
- 23:50this day and
- 23:54yeah that makes sense see if that works
- 23:56also that
- 23:57I don't know if I told you guys when I
- 23:59was researching I found out this thing
- 24:00wasn't they called an electromatic
- 24:02clutch basically it's like an auto stick
- 24:04where it basically just does the clutch
- 24:06engagement automatically apparently it's
- 24:07kind of trouble Chrome it's hard to find
- 24:09one that works so I doubt ours is going
- 24:11to work but the overdrive is gonna be
- 24:12nice yay
- 24:14should be good let's grab some gas I
- 24:17guess and see if she'll light off the
- 24:18ignition is on let's fill up the bowl
- 24:21see if we got accelerator pump
- 24:25getting that cranks when you do the
- 24:27throttle let's turn the ignition up and
- 24:29check accelerator pump just curious
- 24:34unfortunately not but that's no big deal
- 24:36it should still run without it it'll
- 24:38just be you know sluggish
- 24:40throttle opening
- 24:43here we go let's give her a little bit
- 24:45throat
- 24:48see what happens
- 24:58yeah ran pretty good
- 25:02it does feel like it's still got that
- 25:04little Mist but it actually feels like
- 25:06it's clearing up even
- 25:10yeah it does feel like it's clearing up
- 25:13ran a net of gas so I guess now we just
- 25:16got to see if the fuel pump's working
- 25:17and we can maybe take it for a little
- 25:19spin around the yard it's pretty
- 25:21exciting
- 25:22um cooling system it's freezing hard now
- 25:25at night so obviously I don't want to
- 25:27just put water in it but I guess I could
- 25:29hook up that heater hose we could throw
- 25:30some antifreeze in it we're probably
- 25:31good to run it for you know five minutes
- 25:33or whatever no coolant I don't want to
- 25:36run it too long though antifreeze is
- 25:38just expensive you know so
- 25:40it's always a little Annoying wasting 20
- 25:43bucks or whatever just with coolant and
- 25:46we got a bad leak somewhere
- 25:48I mean we're gonna have to do it anyway
- 25:49so maybe I'll just throw some in Just
- 25:51for kicks
- 25:52but yeah maybe let's throw like I don't
- 25:54know a couple gallons in the tank
- 25:56I know it's Rusty but let's throw a
- 25:59couple gallons in the tank see if the
- 26:01pump works and maybe see what kind of
- 26:03gas is coming out and we did see the
- 26:05tank was taken out to paint or hopefully
- 26:09to clean it but it does look kind of
- 26:10rusty probably just from sitting maybe
- 26:13it was cleaned but it's painted nice
- 26:15black hopefully they hooked up the lines
- 26:19I don't know
- 26:22I guess we'll see
- 26:25if it pulls anything
- 26:27hopefully the fuel pump's not rotted out
- 26:30I don't know how hard it is to find a
- 26:31rebuild kit for those
- 26:34but yeah let's get a container see what
- 26:36kind of gas comes out if any
- 26:39fill the bowl
- 26:41double check it's full
- 26:47yeah safe to say it's not pumping
- 26:50yeah it's cleared up it's not missing
- 26:53nearly as bad as it was
- 26:55sometimes if you backfeed fuel down the
- 26:58output it'll wet the diaphragm so we'll
- 27:01try that I don't have a lot of Hope but
- 27:03just spilling gas everywhere maybe we
- 27:06should
- 27:07try and hook in the feed line I think
- 27:09this is a old style vacuum
- 27:12gas pump combination this is the gas
- 27:16feed line I believe so maybe I'll unhook
- 27:17it from the tank feed line right there
- 27:20we can try dumping some fuel down this
- 27:22hose and see if it'll pump it up the um
- 27:26carbs so I don't know let's do that no I
- 27:30wonder if there's a sediment bone
- 27:33that was pretty common back in the day
- 27:35it does have a bowl but it's not a
- 27:37sediment bowl
- 27:38well I mean it may be but it's not a
- 27:39serviceable one it doesn't look like
- 27:41yeah anyways let's pop that uh rubber
- 27:43line off
- 27:455 8
- 27:46got it on my
- 27:47fourth try or something so that's really
- 27:50lots of skill there
- 27:51surprised how playable this rubber hose
- 27:53is still but let's
- 27:55um dump some fuel down it see if we can
- 27:58get the pump to Pump It Up
- 28:05[Music]
- 28:08kind of looking like the fuel pump's a
- 28:10no-go
- 28:11another girl let me refill the squirt
- 28:13bottle here you go
- 28:16[Music]
- 28:25yeah I think our fuel pump's a no-go
- 28:28pull the fuel pump and see what we're
- 28:29dealing with I'm getting whiffs of
- 28:31petrified gas
- 28:34gotta say doing fuel pumps is one of my
- 28:36least favorite jobs
- 28:38I feel like it's always in a horrible
- 28:40place you never get right on the bolts
- 28:44there we go
- 28:49all right so we got the carb rebuilt
- 28:52kind of rebuilt we're still gonna have
- 28:54to go through it with a kit once we get
- 28:55the seals for it but it's doing carp
- 28:58things the engine seems to be running
- 28:59pretty well just off the fuel in the
- 29:01bowl the fuel pump isn't working so
- 29:03we're gonna have to wait on the rebuild
- 29:04kit luckily there is one I can order in
- 29:06so once that comes in we'll get that
- 29:08rebuilt and hopefully get the car ready
- 29:11for a drive so stay tuned that'll be
- 29:14coming out soon and I'll see you guys
- 29:15next time
- 29:28currently a terrify
