  1. 0:00Uh, so I
  2. 0:01I'm a relatively
  3. 0:03like we're a relatively young company
  4. 0:05and so one of the things that I struggle
  5. 0:07is more on like that third category with
  6. 0:08the focus or the woman in the right
  7. 0:10>> how common these are. Just saying. Yeah,
  8. 0:12go for it.
  9. 0:13>> So like for me is basically like how do
  10. 0:15you balance the consuming of useful
  11. 0:19content for your business? Like there's
  12. 0:20always like a new tool, a new strategy,
  13. 0:23new content from the Harmon Brothers,
  14. 0:25right? And also And I also like we're
  15. 0:28leaving this workshop with like, "Hey,
  16. 0:30this is what you should focus on." So is
  17. 0:32it a matter of just like, "Hey, switch
  18. 0:33off YouTube for the next 12 months and
  19. 0:35just do this?
  20. 0:37Or miss out on
  21. 0:38>> Everything except my beers.
  22. 0:39>> Exactly, right. And so or potentially
  23. 0:41like miss out on like a particular
  24. 0:43strategy or tool that can maximize what
  25. 0:44you're focusing on. So how do you
  26. 0:45balance both of those
  27. 0:47in your business?
  28. 0:49>> Yeah, I'm going to make this really
  29. 0:50short cuz I could do a whole talk on
  30. 0:51this. But um
  31. 0:55So in terms of prioritizing what you're
  32. 0:56going to do,
  33. 0:58three steps. What happen who? So what
  34. 1:00are you going to do? It either's going
  35. 1:01to get you more customers or make them
  36. 1:03worth more. If you can't figure out what
  37. 1:06goal it's going to accomplish, then
  38. 1:07don't do it cuz you have to be able to
  39. 1:09say cuz only way you're going to grow a
  40. 1:10business is get more customers, make
  41. 1:11them worth more. That's it. And so if it
  42. 1:13doesn't do either of those things or not
  43. 1:14clearly, then find something else that
  44. 1:15does. Once you know that it's okay,
  45. 1:17cool, we're going to get more customers.
  46. 1:18That's going to be our our deal. Well,
  47. 1:20how are we going to do that? You can do
  48. 1:21more, you can do better,
  49. 1:23or you can do new.
  50. 1:25Right?
  51. 1:26And typically when you're small, you do
  52. 1:29this first. When you're big, you do this
  53. 1:31first.
  54. 1:33You do more first and then you do better
  55. 1:35when you're bigger. And then once you
  56. 1:36can't do any more, any better, then you
  57. 1:37try something new.
  58. 1:39So right now, and then you go into who's
  59. 1:41going to own the the initiative. Now,
  60. 1:43for you,
  61. 1:45um I ask the same question which is,
  62. 1:47"Why can't you do 10 times more of what
  63. 1:48you're currently doing that's working?"
  64. 1:50What breaks?
  65. 1:53>> Um there's a knowledge barrier or like
  66. 1:56um
  67. 1:57I haven't learned how to do it yet.
  68. 1:59>> Well, yeah, but what would actually
  69. 2:01break? So, if you did like what's how do
  70. 2:03you get customers right now?
  71. 2:04>> Uh mostly organic, just referral and
  72. 2:07channel partnerships.
  73. 2:08>> Okay, what's the percentage split
  74. 2:09between those?
  75. 2:10>> Uh 70% organic, 30% channel.
  76. 2:13>> Okay, got it. Is the channel partner
  77. 2:14like a reliable process or they just
  78. 2:15come inbound?
  79. 2:16>> Uh they What do you mean?
  80. 2:18>> Is it like do you reach out to people
  81. 2:19and you convert a certain percentage of
  82. 2:20those people into channel partners? You
  83. 2:22know a channel partner's worth X.
  84. 2:23>> Yeah, that's what we're doing.
  85. 2:24>> Okay, cool. So,
  86. 2:26what stops you from doing 10 times more
  87. 2:28reach outs for channel partners?
  88. 2:31>> Just um
  89. 2:33time and like I would just like what's
  90. 2:35the right strategy to reach out to them.
  91. 2:36>> Well, what you're doing is already
  92. 2:37working. You have 30% of your business
  93. 2:38comes from it. So, what does changing
  94. 2:40nothing, what stops you from 10Xing the
  95. 2:42amount that you're doing there?
  96. 2:44>> Yeah, it's nothing. Just
  97. 2:46>> No, I'd be like it's a it's a real
  98. 2:47question. Is it you can't do 10, right?
  99. 2:50You'd need somebody else.
  100. 2:52Okay, so recruiting somebody who can
  101. 2:54take over a portion or add to your
  102. 2:56output, rather your input, would be the
  103. 2:59constraint of the business.
  104. 3:04Does that make sense?
  105. 3:04>> Yeah.
  106. 3:05>> That's it.
  107. 3:06Cuz if you hired five more people to do
  108. 3:08what you're doing, would the business
  109. 3:09make more money?
  110. 3:10>> Yes.
  111. 3:10>> Is there anything else you could do that
  112. 3:11would make the business more money than
  113. 3:12doing that?
  114. 3:14>> Right now, I mean
  115. 3:15>> All right.
  116. 3:16>> Thank you.
  117. 3:17>> If you are a business owner and you are
  118. 3:19not growing as fast as you like, I'd
  119. 3:20like to give you a free gift. So, my
  120. 3:22team and I put together the $100 million
  121. 3:24road map, which is basically 200 hours
  122. 3:26of us looking over all the portfolio
  123. 3:28companies we've had and what stages of
  124. 3:30growth they went through and more
  125. 3:32importantly, where they got stuck and
  126. 3:33how they got past it. And so we broke it
  127. 3:35in these 10 stages and we made this
  128. 3:37little kind of quiz thing where if you
  129. 3:38put in your business information, it'll
  130. 3:39tell you where you're at and the most
  131. 3:41important part for you, what to do for
  132. 3:43each of functions of the business across
  133. 3:44product, marketing, sales, customer
  134. 3:45success, recruiting, IT, human resources
  135. 3:48and finance. And so, no matter what
  136. 3:50you're struggling with, someone else has
  137. 3:52already struggled with it and solved it.
  138. 3:54And so I'd like to give you this thing
  139. 3:55absolutely free. You go to
  140. 3:56acquisition.com/roadmap,
  141. 3:58plug in your business information, and
  142. 3:59if you want us to actually help you
  143. 4:01deconstruct the business and you're
  144. 4:03trying to scale, we'd love to help you
  145. 4:04out. On the thank you page, you can book
  146. 4:06a call with my team and we will
  147. 4:08look at the business, see if we can
  148. 4:10help, and if we can, we'll invite you
  149. 4:11out to Vegas and we'll do this in person
  150. 4:13live.
