- 0:00Pro Mind Group. Hi Alex, I have golden
- 0:03handcuffs. Uh what you and your spouse
- 0:05do in your own time, man, is up to you.
- 0:07Um I don't need to know the color of
- 0:08your handcuffs. Uh
- 0:10Uh
- 0:12really good company and scaling their
- 0:13business nationally. Uh when I achieve
- 0:16this, it will be good for my reputation.
- 0:18Is it worth sticking out for a year or
- 0:19grow out of my own and start my
- 0:20business? It depends on how big the
- 0:21outcome is. If the outcome is something
- 0:23that is going to basically be like I'll
- 0:24call it like career bucket list type
- 0:26stuff that like if you walk into a room
- 0:27and someone introduces you, if one of
- 0:29the things that happen in this business
- 0:31is something that they would mention
- 0:32next that's going to happen in the next
- 0:33call 6 to 12 months. Um
- 0:35I would say that it is worth staying for
- 0:37that because that narrative will pay you
- 0:39more than you would be able to make
- 0:42basically making up ground without that.
- 0:44Now, not all bullet points on the resume
- 0:47are of equal value, but like for
- 0:49example, to take an extreme, you know,
- 0:51my my company's going to IPO in the next
- 0:526 months. I'm the CFO. I'm going to be
- 0:54leading the IPO. I've never done this
- 0:55before. Yeah, that's probably worth you
- 0:58staying around for the IPO to go through
- 0:59the process because for the rest of your
- 1:01life you'll be like, "This is the guy
- 1:02who took XYZ public." Right? Like
- 1:05there's some things where the narrative
- 1:06actually provides alpha or superior
- 1:07return
- 1:09to the time invested to get it. Right?
- 1:12And so it means that forever from that
- 1:13point going forward you'll be able to
- 1:15earn more equity,
- 1:16charge more for your services, have more
- 1:18demand for your services, and all of
- 1:19these downstream impacts. Now, if it's
- 1:21like can you say this Can you say with
- 1:24honesty
- 1:25that the point of the business that
- 1:27they're at now still confers the same
- 1:29level of authority to you? If that's
- 1:31true, then there's not a lot of
- 1:32additional value for you to stay. So, it
- 1:34really just comes down to how big is the
- 1:36accomplishment and is that
- 1:37accomplishment
- 1:39big enough to merit the time investment
- 1:42and the additional earnings that would
- 1:43happen as a result of the
- 1:44accomplishment. If you like this video
- 1:46and you're business owner who wants to
- 1:47break through your current revenue
- 1:48ceiling, I distilled every lesson from
- 1:49scaling 10 businesses past 10 million
- 1:51and three businesses past 100 million
- 1:53into a completely free scaling road map
