3. 0:05which we will explore our point of sale
4. 0:07application a little bit more. Have you
5. 0:09ever faced a situation where a customer
6. 0:11wants to buy more products than what you
7. 0:13actually have in stock? It can feel a
8. 0:15little bit awkward. But fortunately, Odo
9. 0:18has a solution to avoid all that. With
10. 0:20the ship later feature, you can schedule
11. 0:22deliveries for later, ensuring that your
12. 0:24customers orders get fulfilled as soon
13. 0:26as your stock is replenished. If it
14. 0:28sounds promising, let's go ahead and
15. 0:30take a look into that together. All
16. 0:32right, so let's head into our point of
17. 0:34sale application and configuration and
18. 0:37settings. And what we will do here is
19. 0:39enable the ship later feature. Just
20. 0:43going to check it here. And I will
21. 0:45ensure that the uh shipping policy is
22. 0:48sent to uh set to when all products are
23. 0:50ready. Let me save my settings real
24. 0:53quick. And uh that's it for
25. 0:56configuration. So, just to test it out,
26. 0:58we're going to go into our pet crown uh
27. 1:01point of sale and let's make a sale
28. 1:04together. So, I will add our um cut
29. 1:09beige tree uh to the cart. But actually,
30. 1:11before I do that, I will just take a
31. 1:13look at the inventory levels here. So,
32. 1:14I'll click on the I and I see that I
33. 1:16have three units on hand. So, in order
34. 1:19to test the ship later feature, we will
35. 1:22just need to buy a little bit more than
36. 1:23that.
37. 1:25So I will add four cut beige trees uh
38. 1:29into my
39. 1:31cart and I will also pick the customer
40. 1:34who already has their address address
41. 1:36saved in our database. So let me just
42. 1:39search for um our really good customer
43. 1:43Johnny who has his address filled in
44. 1:46right here. Perfect. And next up, I'm
45. 1:49just going to go ahead and click on
46. 1:52payments. So, I have my uh customer
47. 1:55selected here. I will choose uh payment
48. 1:57by cash. And I will uh also select most
49. 2:01importantly the ship later feature. I
50. 2:04need to uh select the shipping date. I
51. 2:06will actually for the case of this demo
52. 2:07just keep it on today. And I will
53. 2:10validate the sale. Now that the date is
54. 2:13confirmed, we can just proceed the
55. 2:14payment and uh go back into our back end
56. 2:17to see what happens with our order. So
57. 2:21if I want to track the order that we
58. 2:22just created, I will click the orders
59. 2:25menu right here. Um and my order is here
60. 2:30at the top of the list. So let me just
61. 2:32click on it. Perfect. And right away I
62. 2:36can see that I have sport button here at
63. 2:37the top uh pickings. And the if I click
64. 2:41on it I will see that the status of the
65. 2:42picking is currently waiting. This means
66. 2:45uh that the transfer from our stock to
67. 2:46the customers is on hold possibly due to
68. 2:49another operation taking place or the
69. 2:51unavailability of certain products. In
70. 2:54our case it's the second case. So the
71. 2:56products still need to arrive. But you
72. 2:58know what? Now that I click on it after
73. 3:00all of this discussion that we just had.
74. 3:03I'm pretty sure that the ordered
75. 3:04products have actually arrived in the
76. 3:05meantime. So I will click on the check
77. 3:07availability button.
78. 3:09And as you can see, the products have
79. 3:11arrived and this has changed to
80. 3:14available. Perfect. So now that I have
81. 3:16my products in stock, all that's left to
82. 3:18do is to deliver them to the customer.
83. 3:20So I will click on
84. 3:23validate. And as soon as that's done,
85. 3:25the order status switches to done, which
86. 3:27means that the products have reached
87. 3:28their final destination, so the
88. 3:30customer's address. And just like that,
89. 3:32we've enabled the ship later feature. We
90. 3:34scheduled the delivery, and we also
91. 3:36track the order status in our back end.
