- 1:38on? What? Who is he to you? Boyfriend.
- 1:40Yes. For like three and a half years.
- 1:42What happened? He and I we drank last
- 1:44night. We had a Can you pass this to the
- 1:46uh around to the FD guys? Stop. They
- 1:48need to sign that for sure. They're with
- 1:49me. So they're not I think I woke
- 1:51around.
- 1:53No, no, no. Each of them has to cuz this
- 1:55might be a real thing. So each of them
- 1:57has to put their name. Normally we all
- 1:58just I just put everybody. Yeah. You
- 2:00call me. Um what's going on? I just got
- 2:03out here. So fill me in. No problem.
- 2:05Like we're putting a puzzle together.
- 2:07We've been doing some artwork together.
- 2:08You are putting a puzzle together? Yes,
- 2:10we have a puzzle that we started in
- 2:12there. Okay. We've been doing art trying
- 2:14taking stuff off the wall to to make new
- 2:16art put up there. Like having a good
- 2:17time with one another, but we're
- 2:18drinking. We had a bottle of wine last
- 2:20night. Okay. So then it's like we
- 2:22decided to play hide and seek, right?
- 2:24Okay. So, he gets in the suitcase. Okay.
- 2:27Who is this guy? That's my ex-husband.
- 2:29My former husband. How did he live here
- 2:31with you guys? No, I called him over
- 2:33here. Okay. Okay. I didn't know what to
- 2:35do. Okay. I didn't know what to do.
- 2:37Okay. So, then he came over here. Here,
- 2:39let's talk in private. Okay. I called
- 2:42you guys.
- 2:43I tried getting I The problem is is I
- 2:47fell asleep. I fell asleep. When did you
- 2:50do CPR? This morning when I found it.
- 2:52Before you called. Yes, that's 1:00
- 2:56right now. I tried I was awake, but I
- 3:00actually got out of the bed at like
- 3:0212:30ish, whatever. So, I came
- 3:03downstairs and I was like, "He's in the
- 3:06suitcase still and that's when I found
- 3:08him and I took him out and tried doing
- 3:10CPR and then I called him and then I
- 3:12called you guys." Did he get here before
- 3:13the fire department got here? Who? Your
- 3:15husband or your ex-husband? Okay. Where
- 3:17did he at? Uh, right down the street.
- 3:19Okay. So, you were playing and who
- 3:22zipped him up in I did, but then I fell
- 3:25asleep. Okay. Okay. You're okay. I don't
- 3:28I wasn't here. I'm just trying to figure
- 3:29out what happened. I fell asleep. So, I
- 3:31don't know if he suffocated or like had
- 3:33an aneurysm or a heart attack or what.
- 3:34What kind of medical conditions did you
- 3:36have? None that I know of? Nothing that
- 3:38you know of any medical.
- 3:42All we had was a bottle of wine.
- 3:44Literally just a bottle of wine. Okay.
- 3:46Doing puzzle artwork. Then we decided to
- 3:48play hide and seek. Mhm. That's all that
- 3:51happened. Okay. Okay. So, I don't know
- 3:52if he had a heart attack or what in
- 3:54there. Like, I don't know what happened.
- 3:56So, how long were you doing CPR on him
- 3:58prior to you calling 911? You tried that
- 4:00all morning. Yes. Okay. And then I
- 4:03called him while I was What time did you
- 4:05start? Probably giving me a rough
- 4:06ballpark here. Let me fill this deputy
- 4:09in. Okay. Please, may I have my Dr.
- 4:10Pepper? I am so cut right now,
- 4:14ma'am. And you can't talk to him until
- 4:16we get down with her. Okay. Just don't
- 4:18leave. Okay, Brian. Thank you, ma'am.
- 4:21Thank you. Got to get Lucas. I know. Do
- 4:24me a favor. Stand over there by that
- 4:26car. Give me one second.
- 4:33Just give us a second. Okay.
- 4:37I can't move anything out of the house.
- 4:41Here, I want you to sit down cuz I don't
- 4:42want you passing out. This is probably a
- 4:44lot for you to deal with, right?
- 4:46Water. I can get you some water. Okay.
- 4:49Just I want you not on your seat cuz I
- 4:51don't want you passing out on me.
- 4:54I need I need water. Okay. I'll get some
- 4:57for you. You're trying to Charlie put
- 4:59you on it.
- 5:06He thought it would be funny to be put
- 5:08in the suitcase. So I was like, "Okay,
- 5:09well I'm going to joke with you and I'll
- 5:11zip you up, make him, you know, squirm a
- 5:12little bit, whatever it is." But then I
- 5:14fell asleep. Mhm. I fell asleep. Where
- 5:17was the suitcase? He got in it. Right
- 5:19down there. You zipped him in there.
- 5:21Thought he was be funny. A little joke.
- 5:22It was We both were laughing about it
- 5:24and then I fell asleep. Where did you
- 5:26fall asleep at? Upstairs. In your
- 5:28bedroom. Yes. Okay. Totally forgetting
- 5:30that he was in the suitcase still. Okay.
- 5:33And then you came back downstairs this
- 5:35morning or this afternoon? Yes. When I
- 5:37got parked, what time? 12:30ish.
- 5:41I was awake, but I totally forgot that
- 5:44he was in the suitcase.
- 5:46He can tell you there's a lot of things
- 5:48that I slashw we have been go
- 5:51jobs. Yeah, he did tell me. So all that
- 5:54good stuff. So I just totally forgot.
- 5:56You began to do CPR on him? Yes. Yes.
- 5:59About time this morning he start doing
- 6:01that CPR. No, it was the afternoon. It
- 6:03was afternoon because I was awake. But
- 6:05then I finally decided to come
- 6:06downstairs at like 12:30ish
- 6:09whatever it is. And I was like
- 6:11I forgot he was in the suitcase and he
- 6:13wasn't moving. Nothing was happening. So
- 6:15I unzipped him, unzipped it, unzipped
- 6:16him, took him out and started doing CPR
- 6:17on him. Mhm. He was on his way over
- 6:20here. I called you when he got here.
- 6:22Once he got here, you called him? Yes.
- 6:24Okay. And like air was coming out and he
- 6:26was gurgling, but
- 6:28Mhm. I could just tell by looking at
- 6:30him. But you knew how to do CPR. You
- 6:32doing that on your own? Yes. Okay. And
- 6:34then the person that was on the phone
- 6:35with me also, I counted with him doing
- 6:37And he's got no medical. He doesn't take
- 6:38any medications. I don't know. Like I
- 6:40don't know medical wise like what I know
- 6:41he doesn't take any medications
- 6:42whatsoever. Okay. Um, the only thing,
- 6:45like I said, I don't know if alcohol had
- 6:47anything to do with that, but we had a
- 6:48bottle of wine. Okay. All right. Here's
- 6:51I want you to sit back down because I
- 6:52don't want Can I have one more sip of
- 6:53water, please? Go ahead. 29 residential
- 6:56audible 133 island.

- 7:01I don't want you to have to feel that
- 7:04cancel
- 7:11motor on the channel. The cuffs are like
- 7:13right there. You're 44 in the motor. Sit
- 7:16right here. Don't talk to the ex-husband
- 7:17right now. Can I have a cigarette,
- 7:19please? Ma'am, I can't take anything out
- 7:21of the house. It's on the back porch.
- 7:23Nope. All of it. It's secure. Okay. I'll
- 7:25try my best to get you what you need.
- 7:26Okay. Maybe one of these deputies has a
- 7:28pack from someone, you know. Sit down
- 7:30and I'll try and get you what you need.
- 7:32Okay. Just cut, please. Okay. I don't
- 7:34want you on your feet.
- 7:36You want camera? Yeah.
- 7:40Uh, where's place? Do this now. Oh, I
- 7:43don't know.
- 7:50Did we get that dog by any chance? He's
- 7:52sleeping on the
- 7:54poor thing. So, your backyard's not
- 7:57fenced. Okay. Cuz we put him in the
- 8:00backyard and I guess he knew to I'm
- 8:02sorry. Your dog We thought the backyard
- 8:04was fenced. The dogs are outside. No,
- 8:07no, no. We We have them contained. One
- 8:09step and one spine. Okay. Okay. That's
- 8:12why I was making sure they were under

- 8:32shade?
- 8:35You're okay. Right there. Or maybe a
- 8:37little closer here where the shade is.
- 8:40[Applause]
- 8:47You're still on? Yeah. Are you? Yeah.
- 8:50Okay.
- 8:56You're getting a left-handed. Oh, I
- 8:58know. You're in 24 right now.
- 9:01I'm like, nobody's going up there. I
- 9:03heard silence. I said 220. I was leaving
- 9:05econ.
- 9:07just going to go get me a sub.
- 9:10And then I said, "Well, I need to go to
- 9:12that."
- 9:18And then he said, "Wait a minute. Um, my
- 9:22friend,
- 9:26we can't let you guys communicate right
- 9:27now." I know this last one. You want me
- 9:30to get a cigarette from him and bring it
- 9:32to you? That's okay. I could probably do
- 9:34that.
- 9:37ask.
- 9:40Thank you. No problem.
- 9:49He's I was going to have him arrange
- 9:51child care. Okay, good. For the child in
- 9:53school up the street. Okay. Um, is my
- 9:56name on there yet? No, sir. If not,
- 10:00I need to get her on there, too. And
- 10:01him? Yes.
- 10:07So, they're in route already, probably.
- 10:10Did anybody call? No. You want me to
- 10:12call? Yeah. Oh, I thought you were
- 10:15calling. All right. Let me get homicide.
- 10:25All right.
- 10:31Okay. Let's see.
- 10:42Hold on. I'm still on. enemy.
- 11:49It's natural. You're nervous. You have
- 11:52your anxiety. You're scared, right?
- 11:58I don't know how much. It's okay. You
- 12:01don't have to. I don't know how to. I'm
- 12:04just waiting for whoever. So,
- 12:08I could tell you this. I'm going to be
- 12:11here just as long as you are. Including
- 12:14my
- 12:17It's going to be a while. I'm I'm
- 12:18welcoming this breeze right now. It's
- 12:20kind of warm. All right. So, just bear
- 12:22with us. I know. All right. If you could
- 12:25like give me whatever updates or
- 12:27anything that you know, that's just how
- 12:29I work. So, I know like kind of what Let
- 12:31me look at my computer. See,
- 12:41[Applause]
- 12:48we already got a a detective on his way.
- 12:51He's on the screen. Okay.
- 12:59[Music]
- 13:06No,
- 13:19honey. That's my corporal. Let me pick
- 13:20it up.
- 14:28Hey, Sarah.
- 14:30Did you get enough water?
- 14:33Stand up though. No. If you want to stay
- 14:34seated, don't I don't want you getting
- 14:36lightheaded. So, remember I said the
- 14:38detectives were going to come out and
- 14:39talk to you and go from there. You know
- 14:42what I'm saying? They're here. They're
- 14:44going to ask you a few questions and
- 14:45then go from there. Okay. All right. All
- 14:47right, sir. My name is Chelsea. My
- 14:49partner Scott. Um,
- 14:52to my understanding, you reside here?
- 14:54Yes. Okay. Is it just you? Um,
- 14:58and George. Okay. Um, I have a
- 15:00nine-year-old, Remy. It's 50/50 with
- 15:03Brian, my former husband. Your former
- 15:05husband. Okay. Um, but you reside here
- 15:07with George and then your son lives with
- 15:09you or lives there's 50/50. Okay. Um,
- 15:14so from what
- 15:16[Music]
- 15:17Rodriguez has told me, um, she
- 15:21explained,
- 15:22um, last night that you guys were
- 15:24drinking a bottle of wine. Um, and
- 15:28around midnight, um, you decided you
- 15:31guys 12:30ish. Yeah. Okay. I guess you
- 15:34guys decided to play hide and seek.
- 15:36Well, we were playing hide and seek and
- 15:38then Was your son home at the time or
- 15:40Okay. No, he's with my with Brian. Okay.
- 15:45Um decided to play. We're just stupid
- 15:48like that. Like Sure. We We're putting
- 15:50puzzles together and we were doing
- 15:52artwork. You can see the puzzle that we
- 15:54finished in there and then the artwork
- 15:56and then decided to play hide and seek.
- 15:58Just being stupid. Okay. So, he decided
- 16:02to get in the suitcase. So, I thought it
- 16:04would be funny to and he was laughing
- 16:06about it, too. To zip him up in there.
- 16:09Mhm. I go upstairs and fell asleep. So
- 16:13this morning when I or this afternoon
- 16:15when I actually got up out of the bed, I
- 16:17thought for sure he was downstairs on
- 16:18the laptop because he was just being
- 16:21really quiet. But then I came downstairs
- 16:23and I'm like, where is he? Like
- 16:26and then I that's when I found him.
- 16:29Okay. Um I don't know what happened.
- 16:33Okay. And then you weren't sure about if
- 16:35you woke up this morning. It was
- 16:37afternoon. I mean, I wasn't waiting. It
- 16:39is afternoon, but I just didn't want to
- 16:40come downstairs. So, I just laid in the
- 16:42bed for a little while and then I
- 16:44eventually came downstairs and was
- 16:45confused about where he was and then I
- 16:47was like, "Oh my god, he's in the
- 16:48suitcase still." So, I pulled him out
- 16:50and I stretched him out and I started to
- 16:52try to do CPR.
- 16:54I called you guys. Well, I called Brian.
- 16:56Okay. And then I as soon as he got here,
- 16:59which is 30 seconds down the road, I
- 17:02called you guys and the person on the
- 17:04phone had me do the compressions
- 17:06continually and count with him and told
- 17:09you guys shut up. Okay. And um
- 17:14so as a part of our investigation, we
- 17:17obviously have to go inside the house.
- 17:19We have to look at things. Are you okay
- 17:21with us going in the house and looking
- 17:22at things? Okay. Um,
- 17:26okay. Um, and forensics. So, we have to
- 17:30have our forensics crime scene
- 17:31investigators come out. Are you also
- 17:33okay with them going inside, taking
- 17:35photographs, and what you need to do?
- 17:37Okay. C, can I ask is Ryan or Ryan, I'm
- 17:40sorry, George, was he diagnosed with any
- 17:42kind of medical history? Not that I know
- 17:44of. Not that I know of. I I don't know.
- 17:46I mean, he doesn't take drugs. I mean,
- 17:48we'll have the occasional bottle of wine
- 17:50here and there, but I don't know. Like
- 17:52that was going to be my next question.
- 17:54So you guys don't normally drink. You
- 17:55just drink once in a while or Well, I'm
- 17:57going to say like, okay, I guess normal
- 18:00drinking is like we will have like a
- 18:03glass of wine or two like while we're
- 18:04cooking dinner
- 18:06and we'll play a board game with him and
- 18:08we'll there but I mean it's not like
- 18:12it's a couple of beers a day, isn't
- 18:13Well, but I don't
- 18:15like I don't understand though like for
- 18:18the little bit that we had like that had
- 18:20anything to do with it. Like I don't
- 18:22know if he had a heart attack or a
- 18:23stroke or an aneurysm or what happened
- 18:25to him. I don't know. And were you guys
- 18:27together all day yesterday? Yes. Okay.
- 18:30Here. Yes. Like you neither of you left
- 18:32the apartment yesterday? I think he
- 18:34drove up to the beach store to get
- 18:36cigarettes. Okay. But I mean it's you
- 18:39can walk there. Does Does he have any
- 18:41history of any drugs? I know he doesn't
- 18:43now because he said he doesn't, but I
- 18:45don't know. As far as you've ever known
- 18:47him, you've never seen him? No. I mean,
- 18:50he's from Philadelphia and he he grew up
- 18:53in Philadelphia and then he went to
- 18:54Massachusetts and then from
- 18:55Massachusetts came down here. So, I
- 18:57don't really know like a whole lot of
- 19:00like medical history or anything. How
- 19:02long have you guys been together? Um,
- 19:04almost four years. Like three and a half
- 19:05years. You guys been living here the
- 19:07whole time? Yes. Okay.
- 19:10He's never been to the doctor or to the
- 19:13hospital during that time. Um, he had he
- 19:16and his brother got into a really bad
- 19:19argument at one point. He had to have
- 19:21facial reconstruction, but he had been
- 19:24in the hospital from that. And then I
- 19:26talked him into going to see like a
- 19:27regular physician so he could get just
- 19:29like a regular like checkup thing. But
- 19:32there were no red flags. How long ago
- 19:34was that?
- 19:37The surgery or the doctor? Both. The
- 19:40surgery I think was at this point what
- 19:43two years maybe two and a half years.
- 19:47The checkup was probably a good
- 19:52two years too of Okay. And and the
- 19:55suitcase is still in there. Yep. Always.
- 19:58Is it normally stored down there? Did
- 20:00you guys travel recently? No, he was
- 20:03going to start picking some of the
- 20:07donation
- 20:08in there. So that's why that's why it's
- 20:11out. Yes. Okay. You guys did recently
- 20:13travel somewhere or anything like that?
- 20:15After you zipped them up, did you move
- 20:17the bag around the basket or you just
- 20:19zipped it up and walked away? I both
- 20:21were laughing about it, but I went
- 20:22upstairs and I fell asleep. Okay. Okay.
- 20:26But the What position was he in when you
- 20:28put him when he went into
- 20:31was he sitting on his rear end and his
- 20:32head up and he just kind of Okay. So
- 20:34like this is this is the suitcase.
- 20:37Uhhuh. Like this was his head and then
- 20:40right here and his feet were down. So he
- 20:41was laying on his side. Yes. You just
- 20:44closed the flap and zipped it around.
- 20:46Yes. Okay. I We were playing
- 20:50Understandably. Okay. So he said that I
- 20:54needed to tell you guys about his
- 20:55family. Like who do I talk to about?
- 20:58We're going to do that once we once we
- 21:00walk through and see. Yeah. We're going
- 21:02to do I'm just telling you like this is
- 21:04going to be I'm afraid for my life. I
- 21:06want you to know that I'm afraid for my
- 21:09life. His family
- 21:13have never liked me. I'm the blue white
- 21:16white devil is what they call me. So
- 21:19they've never liked me. They've never
- 21:21taken me in. They've never accepted me.
- 21:22I'll put it that way. Have you called
- 21:25any of them? Um we talked to his
- 21:27daughters yesterday. No, I mean like
- 21:30about this. Does anyone know? Okay. So
- 21:32no one's going to know until we will be
- 21:34making that notification. They're going
- 21:36to kill me. Do they live local? Yes.
- 21:38They're down the road. They're going to
- 21:40kill me. His kids are going to kill me
- 21:43in Philadelphia. They're going to kill
- 21:45me. This was not intentional. Okay. And
- 21:48they're not going to understand that.
- 21:49They're not going to accept it. We're
- 21:52going to do a thorough investigation and
- 21:54we will we will take we will definitely
- 21:58make sure that you don't feel scared
- 22:00when we leave here. Okay. My
- 22:02nine-year-old. Well, he's at school.
- 22:05He's with your husband. I know. Well,
- 22:06your husband said that or your
- 22:08ex-husband said he made arrangements for
- 22:09your 9-year-old to be picked up. Oh,
- 22:12okay. Mom, probably. Okay. Okay. All
- 22:14right. We're going to go aside if that's
- 22:15okay. Yes, please. But you guys just
- 22:17keep me posted so I know what's going
- 22:19on. Don't All you have to do is get
- 22:21their attention. If you if you have a
- 22:23question, you need to talk to us. He's
- 22:25standing right there. She'll be right
- 22:26here. Yeah. Okay. But will you guys tell
- 22:28me? Like so you're telling me like you
- 22:32you won't call whoever it is without
- 22:35telling me, right? I mean I have their
- 22:36phone. We're not calling. We're not
- 22:38making phone calls. We're actually going
- 22:39to speak to them in person. Yeah. We are
- 22:42going to Okay. It'll be later prior to
- 22:45us making any call. I'm not going to be
- 22:47here. They're going to kill me. Okay.
- 22:50We'll address all of that, okay, before
- 22:52we leave. Okay. This was
- 22:55Okay.
- 23:01Thank you. Just stay seated. Okay,
- 23:04Sarah. I know you're panicking. Okay,
- 23:05just relax. I'll come and talk to you.
- 23:08We'll keep checking on you.
- 24:29They're coming out now. I'll get you
- 24:30somebody. Okay.
- 24:37She wants to say something. She wants to
- 24:39talk. Come on.
- 24:49You don't know anything though? Like why
- 24:51or how? So that will we will not know
- 24:54the answer to that because we're not
- 24:56doctors. So what's going to happen is
- 24:58he's going to go to the medical
- 24:59examiner's office and he'll have what's
- 25:01called an autopsy. That'll be first
- 25:03thing tomorrow morning. I'll know a lot
- 25:05hopefully a lot more tomorrow morning as
- 25:07far as him. Um, but I cannot there's no
- 25:13way I could say
- 25:15how why. So just by looking at him like
- 25:18why is he purple? Oh that's just that's
- 25:20normal. When someone passes away with
- 25:23it, you need to turn soon as the heart
- 25:25stops beating
- 25:27to the lowest points of the body and
- 25:29then it just comes straight to so that's
- 25:33just called
- 25:35it happens every night. I'm like really
- 25:37scared. I want you guys to know that
- 25:40we have all these deputies here. So
- 25:42while we're here nothing's going to
- 25:43happen to you before we go and make any
- 25:45notifications. you'll have plenty of
- 25:47time to leave or do what you need to do,
- 25:50whatever you need to do. Okay, we can
- 25:53talk about that more in length, but
- 25:55yeah, you
- 25:57it's not going to be a surprise real
- 25:58quick and then but like I don't like
- 26:01this was totally like not
- 26:04intentional. Like that's what I'm scared
- 26:08about too. Like
- 26:11[Music]
- 26:13we'll we'll have all the answers. We'll
- 26:15have a lot more answers tomorrow after
- 26:17medical exam looks at him. Like she
- 26:19said, what you're seeing here is common.
- 26:22This is us coming out. Yeah. We his age,
- 26:26no no real medical history that we know
- 26:28of for him to have passed away. We come
- 26:31out and do investigation. We come out
- 26:34and do an investigation. Medical
- 26:35examiner's office will be sending people
- 26:37out. This is what we do. If he was 75
- 26:40years old and had a history of heart
- 26:41condition, we wouldn't be here. I just
- 26:44don't know what his I don't know what it
- 26:45is exactly. And that's what we're here
- 26:46to find out. We're just here to get the
- 26:48answers. The answers that you want, the
- 26:50answers that his family's going to want.
- 26:51I just really want to see my son. Like I
- 26:53really need to see my son. I mean, I
- 26:55know I can't go anywhere, but Right. So,
- 26:58do I just like sit out here and wait for
- 27:00you guys? If you would. Yes, please. Is
- 27:02anybody else having to show up or
- 27:04everybody's here that needs to be here?
- 27:06Uh, my team's here that needs to be
- 27:08here. The medical examiners will show up
- 27:10when we call them, but we're not ready
- 27:12for them yet. So, they're going to take
- 27:14him, they're going to take some photos,
- 27:15take him, but that's towards the end of
- 27:17it. Um, and they'll be called well in
- 27:19advance when we're ready for them, but
- 27:21we're we're not ready for them at this
- 27:22point. So, we won't be calling them
- 27:24quite yet.
- 27:26Okay. So, like I said, I got to go do
- 27:28some paperwork. Um, they're going to
- 27:29chat um with some people and then we're
- 27:32going to come back and and talk to you
- 27:33if you're okay with that. Um, so just
- 27:36give us a little bit more time. Like I
- 27:38said, I need to go and do that and he's
- 27:40going to go do But do you guys tell his
- 27:43family like today or after tomorrow? We
- 27:47have to We have to go make contact.
- 27:51Yeah.
- 27:53Once our investigation is pretty much
- 27:55complete here, we once we leave here, we
- 27:58will be going to But again, you'll know.
- 28:01We're not going to just go and do it
- 28:02without you knowing. You'll know. We'll
- 28:05talk to you prior to doing anything like
- 28:06that. But how I mean I understand what
- 28:09you guys and how you do it and you know
- 28:12so but like what are you just telling
- 28:13him? What do you tell his parents? Like
- 28:16what's the reason he passed away? We
- 28:17tell them what we know at that point.
- 28:19Yeah. We tell them the truth
- 28:22and that we're going to be waiting for
- 28:24the autopsy results and I will be at the
- 28:26autopsy in the morning and hopefully the
- 28:29doctor will be able to give me some of
- 28:31what they think and see. We'll get them
- 28:33their number. They can contact them, get
- 28:35it from them.
- 28:36But yeah, they're going to they're going
- 28:38to know what we're here, what, you know,
- 28:40what we're investigating and that we're
- 28:43still we think him. Why would they? They
- 28:46always have said that. They've always
- 28:48always always have said that. I told you
- 28:50it's because I'm the blueeyed
- 28:53white dragon. That's what they call me.
- 28:55Because they don't want him with me. So,
- 28:58he's basically just not really been
- 28:59around his family because he chooses me
- 29:02over them.
- 29:04Even after I've encouraged him numerous
- 29:06times to go over there and see his
- 29:07family, they have never accepted me and
- 29:09I have always been really
- 29:14unforgiving where they've never accepted
- 29:17me and everybody has to kick my ass. So,
- 29:22especially his sister, he had to pull
- 29:24her off me one time. Do you have
- 29:26somewhere safe that you can go tonight?
- 29:28Both my parents are deceased. My
- 29:30grandparents are deceased. And my aunt
- 29:31and uncle are deceased. I got nobody. I
- 29:34have a brother that's in the Marine when
- 29:35I've got another one that's in jail.
- 29:37Unless brother that's Marine. Is he
- 29:39local? No. Well, he in Alamont, but I
- 29:43think he's doing whatever Marine thing
- 29:45he's doing. But the only way your
- 29:47phone's inside, correct? Yes. Does he
- 29:49have a phone? No, he doesn't have a
- 29:51phone. He used my phone. He used your
- 29:52phone. Yeah, we did.
- 29:54So, the only way the only place I could
- 29:57go is over to Brian's house. So, I don't
- 30:01think I'll have a problem with it. Okay.
- 30:03So, well, like I said, we're not going
- 30:06to leave here. If you do not feel safe,
- 30:07we are not going to leave here with you
- 30:09not feeling safe because then we're
- 30:10liable. And then his ex wife in
- 30:12Philadelphia.
- 30:14Well, she's in Philadelphia, but yes,
- 30:16she's going to be a funeral, right? that
- 30:20you're talking like days and weeks
- 30:22talking and I'm talking right here right
- 30:24now. This is so let me do my
- 30:25investigation. Let me go do this
- 30:27paperwork that I'm talking about because
- 30:29we can go back and forth about what ifs
- 30:31like all day long. I know. Sorry. I
- 30:32promise we're not going to leave here
- 30:33for you and you not feel safe. Okay. I
- 30:36promise. What's going on? Please. Okay.
- 30:39Well, it's just I don't even know what
- 30:41to tell you. It's okay. Just take a
- 30:43seat, have some water, give us a few
- 30:46minutes, let us do our thing, and we'll
- 30:47be back to talk to you. I promise. Okay.
- 30:49Like you said, you need us again, just
- 30:51let them know. Okay. Thank you. Okay.
- 30:54Thank you. You're welcome.
- 30:56[Music]
- 30:57Yeah. Go ahead and type. Okay.
- 31:05Do you have anyone in here? There's
- 31:07nobody here. Just me. Okay, that's fine.
- 31:09You can. You're right there, right?
- 31:11Yeah. Sit there and take care. You're
- 31:12fine. I have relief coming, so just get
- 31:14taken.
- 31:15[Music]
- 31:17Inside Boon's phone, detectives found
- 31:19two videos recorded the night before.
- 31:22Videos that showed Jorge Torres
- 31:23screaming for help from inside the
- 31:25suitcase and Sarah Boon laughing. Soon
- 31:28after, she was brought in for
- 31:29questioning. This is the interrogation
- 31:31of Sarah Boon. Okay, I'm going to have
- 31:35you sit the green chair that doesn't
- 31:38move.
- 31:43Appreciate you coming in. Yes, ma'am.
- 31:46Can I I want to ask about these whenever
- 31:48we have a moment. Sure. Um so obviously
- 31:54um he received his autopsy. So I'm going
- 31:57to read you your rights again because I
- 31:59we have to talk about that and since I'm
- 32:01talking about the incident, we just have
- 32:04to do it just like we did yesterday.
- 32:06Just like we did yesterday. Remember I
- 32:07read you the rights your rights. Yeah.
- 32:08So the exact same thing, but since I'm
- 32:10asking you follow-up questions, I need
- 32:12to read them to you. Okay. Sure. All
- 32:14right. So, you have the right to remain
- 32:16silent. Anything you say may be used
- 32:18against you in court. You have the right
- 32:19to talk to a lawyer before and during
- 32:21questioning without charge. If you
- 32:22cannot afford a lawyer and want one, one
- 32:24can be provided for you before
- 32:26questioning without charge. Has anyone
- 32:28threatened you or promised you anything
- 32:29to get you to talk to me? No. And do you
- 32:31understand what I just read you? Yes.
- 32:32Perfect. Okay. So this morning we went
- 32:36to his autopsy
- 32:38um and we were informed of some injuries
- 32:43that he has um by the doctor. So I want
- 32:48um so he's got
- 32:52scratch marks to his back.
- 32:54I know what that's from. Okay. And um
- 32:58it's called a contusion. Do you know
- 33:00what a contusion is? So like basically
- 33:02you're getting hit and then you know you
- 33:04you get a mark from it. You'll get
- 33:06bruising like some someone hit you or
- 33:09something like that. It's called a
- 33:10contusion. So he had some injuries to
- 33:13his left shoulder. Um he had
- 33:18um he had a cut near his like lip. We
- 33:20could see we could see his um his mouth
- 33:23was a little I haven't laid a hand on
- 33:25him. Okay. I also too I he fell off my
- 33:29son's bike. Okay. So, I don't know. And
- 33:32he's notorious for running into the wall
- 33:34or the halter tree. So, why? Okay. I
- 33:38don't What about the scratches?
- 33:42Cuz there's also sex. Yes. Okay. Cuz
- 33:45there's also like a like a scratch on
- 33:49like the back of his neck like kind of
- 33:51like going but it's like going straight
- 33:52across.
- 33:54I have no idea what that's from. And
- 33:56they're all recent. Like they they they
- 33:58occurred recently. It wasn't something
- 34:00that occurred post or that occurred a
- 34:02week ago or two days ago, 3 days ago.
- 34:04They definitely occurred, you know, the
- 34:06night leading up to when he was. In all
- 34:08honesty, all honesty, we have not gotten
- 34:10into it. Okay. That's why like the only
- 34:14thing I thought you guys were going to
- 34:15ask me about, which I was going to be
- 34:16honest with you anyway, are the scratch
- 34:18marks on his back. Mhm. Everything else
- 34:20I have no idea what it is. No idea what
- 34:24it is. Nonetheless, I've had my son over
- 34:25the house, too. So I Well, your son was
- 34:28there's when when was he last there? Oh
- 34:32gosh. From my understanding he was there
- 34:34like last Tuesday. Last I don't know if
- 34:36it was Tuesday,
- 34:38but yes, he was there last week. So
- 34:41well, we're talking about Sunday. We're
- 34:43make we're just talking about what
- 34:44occurred Sunday cuz like I said, the
- 34:46injuries are
- 34:48they occurred within that time period.
- 34:50So you're talking about day before
- 34:51yesterday. Sunday leading into Monday.
- 34:55You called us yesterday at 1. So, but
- 34:57the incident you guys were painting and
- 34:59stuff the night prior, correct? So,
- 35:01we're talking about Sunday and then
- 35:04thoroughly confused because we had a
- 35:07good time sitting on the back porch
- 35:10having wine and smoking a couple of
- 35:11cigarettes and then decided to go inside
- 35:13and literally paint, do puzzles and play
- 35:17and listen to music. That's why
- 35:20nobody got out of sorts.
- 35:22This is what's mind-blowing to me. Like
- 35:25I don't Okay. I have no clue. Nobody
- 35:28laid a hand on anybody. He also had um
- 35:33like on the left side of his forehead,
- 35:35he had basically bruising
- 35:38um and on on like his head and skull. I
- 35:43have no idea. As if something hit him. I
- 35:46consider him trauma. I have not touched
- 35:50him. I have not touched him. And how
- 35:53would you get those injuries? Tell me
- 35:54and we'll both know.
- 35:57I have not touched him. Yesterday when
- 36:00we took photographs of your overall body
- 36:03um and they did the bugle swabs, did
- 36:05they go under your fingernails? No.
- 36:08Okay. Are you willing to let us
- 36:10absolutely swab underneath your
- 36:11fingernails? Go for it. Okay. I have no
- 36:15idea, and I don't want to seem out of
- 36:17sorts, but I have no idea. We had a good
- 36:22day. It was a good day. We've had good
- 36:25days lately. Even considering everything
- 36:27that's going on with our jobs and life
- 36:29in general and ex-wives and everything,
- 36:32it's been good. Like I don't even know
- 36:34where this is coming from.
- 36:37Yeah. The last physical was probably you
- 36:39said I think what a month ago where you
- 36:42got the injury, right? You said that was
- 36:45a month. A few weeks give or take. Yeah.
- 36:47A few weeks. That was the last like
- 36:49physical altercation between the two of
- 36:51you. Um he said a month ago he hit you
- 36:54with a curtain rod. Yeah, with a curtain
- 36:55rod. That's why I can't believe you guys
- 36:56didn't take that either.
- 37:01Like we've been good. I don't know if
- 37:03like since the last time he got out of
- 37:05jail like we've been good and he's been
- 37:08having his classes and his seeing his
- 37:11probation officer who's amazing. So what
- 37:14do you mean by good? What's your
- 37:15definition of good?
- 37:18information officer. Oh, no. You said
- 37:19you guys have been good. What's your
- 37:21definition? I've been good. I don't
- 37:23think you all understand. He comes at me
- 37:25all the time. He comes at me. So, it's
- 37:28either I flee or try to go upstairs and
- 37:32go to sleep. That's usually what it is.
- 37:34And I don't know if you talk to Brian
- 37:35about any of that, but most of the time
- 37:37when I flee, I go over there. So,
- 37:41right. But you're saying that you guys
- 37:42have been good. And when I asked you
- 37:44yesterday, there hasn't the last
- 37:46incident that you could remember was the
- 37:48curtain red incident, which you said was
- 37:49a month ago. So, give or take. Right.
- 37:52So, what do you mean by he comes after
- 37:53you? Like, he gets
- 37:56belligerently drunk. Like, I don't know
- 37:59if you all have looked through my phone
- 38:00yet and seen any of the pictures and the
- 38:02videos that I have taken. And the at one
- 38:06point I started documenting everything.
- 38:09Okay. So, you all will see in my
- 38:12pictures, bloody fingers, split
- 38:15foreheads, he split my nose. I've got
- 38:18this, right? I don't know if Brian told
- 38:20you about it, where I had to have almost
- 38:22what I had one really bad surgery, but
- 38:24then it got really, really, really,
- 38:25really bad where I had to go like four
- 38:27or five more times afterwards for them
- 38:29to tend to it from him poking me in the
- 38:31back of the leg. Right. So, it's Then
- 38:34why are you still with him? Everybody
- 38:36asks me that when I tell you guys this,
- 38:41I really love him. Like I do and I feel
- 38:44like I can help him. Like I feel like I
- 38:47could help him, which I did because he's
- 38:49come a really he came a really long way
- 38:52from where he was in Philadelphia to
- 38:54moving back to here and to dealing with
- 38:55everything else that he's been dealing
- 38:57with. I've really helped him. I've
- 38:59bailed him out of jail what, three
- 39:01times. I've gone to every single hearing
- 39:04and every single arignment, everything
- 39:05that I did for him. Gone to see all his
- 39:08public defenders, go to the state. I've
- 39:10gone to the state. I I did everything
- 39:12for him because I'm trying to help him
- 39:13because I had I had hope in him and he
- 39:17was trying. He was really trying just
- 39:21and then he starts to think about things
- 39:23and it just I think he gets overwhelmed
- 39:25and then it's like the next thing I know
- 39:27he's drinking. So it's like, oh man, I
- 39:30know where this is going to go. So, I'm
- 39:31going to go upstairs and read a book or
- 39:33I'm going to go for a bike ride or I'm
- 39:35going to do something else where I don't
- 39:36want to drink. I don't want to drink the
- 39:39occasional wine, whatever. Or if it's a
- 39:43weekend, that's when you you have a good
- 39:46time, you don't have to wake up the next
- 39:48day. I have to wake up the next day and
- 39:50do things. I have to tend to Lucas. I
- 39:52have to take him to school. I have all
- 39:53this stuff to do. He doesn't know how
- 39:56to,
- 39:58I guess, maintain himself where I can do
- 40:0350 things at once and still know the 50
- 40:05things more previously prior than I need
- 40:07to get done. He can't process like that.
- 40:10He didn't process like that. So, it he
- 40:12would literally, not literally, but had
- 40:13smoke coming out of his ears. So, the
- 40:15next thing you know, he doesn't want to
- 40:17deal with it. I'm going to go get
- 40:19something to drink. So the majority of
- 40:21the time I would hang out outside or do
- 40:24something else because I don't want to
- 40:26drink.
- 40:28And every time, every time his job broke
- 40:32his heart and it made me sad because he
- 40:34had so much pride in his job and the
- 40:37store that he took care of so much
- 40:40totally went downhill and that broke his
- 40:44heart because he had put so much work
- 40:46and effort into fixing it up and his
- 40:49manager was awful
- 40:52and basically gave up on all of the
- 40:54employees. So, I think that had a huge
- 40:58bearing on why he would drink so much.
- 41:01His ex-wife is bonkers. She was all over
- 41:05him all the time. Send me money. Send me
- 41:08money. Send me money.
- 41:10How can I send you money when I don't
- 41:12have a job? And he's still trying to
- 41:14take care of me and Lucas by paying a
- 41:17bill here or there, getting some
- 41:19groceries. So he always had something on
- 41:22his mind, which is why again I got the
- 41:25puzzles and the paint to try to get him
- 41:28off of it so we don't have a drink or he
- 41:30doesn't have a drink. So when you all
- 41:32see my phone, you can see all of the
- 41:35damage he has done to me and the videos
- 41:39of him smashing my television because
- 41:41he's belligerently drunk
- 41:44where most of the time I just don't want
- 41:45to be there and I try to help him. I try
- 41:48to calm him down. Eventually,
- 41:51he just passes out. Well, yesterday it
- 41:54made it sound like you guys were just
- 41:56drinking like a glass or two. Like,
- 41:58yeah, you obviously had the bottle, but
- 42:00you I mean, you told me on the Yeah, but
- 42:03you told me on recording like that you
- 42:04were not drunk. He was not drunk. You
- 42:06guys were having a good time. I don't
- 42:08get I can't get drunk. Number one, I do
- 42:12not want to get drunk. I don't like
- 42:15being non-complimentist, having my wits
- 42:17about myself. I don't like feeling out
- 42:19of control.
- 42:22So, I'm just saying you're you're making
- 42:24it sound like like he's a raging
- 42:26alcoholic today and yesterday I was kind
- 42:28of asking you those questions and you're
- 42:30like a little defensive like no, we're
- 42:33not alcoholics. He we are not, you know,
- 42:37but you guys were both sober on Sunday
- 42:39to your knowledge because when I said
- 42:41you went and passed out, you were like,
- 42:43"No, I didn't pass out. I just fell
- 42:45asleep." So now it's kind of like what
- 42:47is it? Is were you guys drinking and it
- 42:49got out of hand and it got physical? No.
- 42:53Or is it Sunday was one of the better
- 42:56days that we have had in quite some
- 42:58time. He's dancing with my dog. You can
- 43:01see that too on the pictures. Him loving
- 43:04the dog. He loves the dog and dancing
- 43:07around having a good time and just
- 43:10just being happy kind of thing.
- 43:15He doesn't know. I can't I mean, I can
- 43:19get like
- 43:20maybe two, three glasses of wine and
- 43:22I'll be fine, but I have to have my wits
- 43:24about myself because I don't know what
- 43:26to expect. Well, let's talk about
- 43:27Sunday. What was Sunday? How were you
- 43:29like how many glasses of wine did you
- 43:31have? How many glasses of wine did he
- 43:32have? The bottle was gone. I mean, I
- 43:35don't know if you poured any out. Yes.
- 43:36No, that was from previous. You said
- 43:40that there was a half bottle left over.
- 43:42Mhm. And then um that you had went or
- 43:46well I don't even know how the wine how
- 43:48did you guys get the wine for Sunday?
- 43:51I'm guessing he went to Publix. He's
- 43:54Does he do the Does he like leave the
- 43:56house and you stay home or do you go to
- 43:58Publix? Like cuz sometimes I'll go with
- 44:00him. Okay. Did you go with him Sunday to
- 44:02Publix? So most of the time what happens
- 44:04is because the convenience store where
- 44:07we get cigarettes is here and then
- 44:08Publix literally is cattywampus to it.
- 44:11Okay. So, what he'll do is he'll start
- 44:13go by Publix and then on the way back
- 44:15catch the convenience store. Okay. So,
- 44:18is that what he did Sunday? I I'm
- 44:20guessing that's what he did because the
- 44:21next thing I know he's walking in with a
- 44:22bottle. Okay. So, that's
- 44:25okay. It's him trying to be nice so I
- 44:27don't have to go out and do it. Plus,
- 44:29there's stuff that around the house that
- 44:30I had to take care of. So, that's
- 44:31usually what will happen. Or I'm folding
- 44:33laundry and he'll go run out and do
- 44:34whatever. Okay.
- 44:37So, where were you guys at on
- 44:41on drunkenness, not drunkenness on
- 44:44Sunday?
- 44:47You told us you weren't drunk. No, I was
- 44:49not drunk. I was not drunk. So, with
- 44:52him, I don't know.
- 44:55I I know when it's like, okay, man,
- 44:58where I have told him, slow down. It's
- 45:01starting to catch up with you. Slow
- 45:03down. Slow down. And another thing too
- 45:06is I don't like listening to music with
- 45:08him because he gets too involved in the
- 45:11music and the music that he listens to
- 45:13is
- 45:14a little rough around the edges and like
- 45:16just it makes me fractious listening to
- 45:19his music. So I kept asking him, let's
- 45:22not let's just you and me talk. You and
- 45:24me will just be the ones that are
- 45:26talking, which was fine because I mean
- 45:27he we were playing with the dog,
- 45:29whatever. And then it's like, okay, now
- 45:31let's do the painting. We just did the
- 45:33puzzle, took a break. Now, let's do
- 45:35this. Sure enough, sat down. We're
- 45:38sitting in there talking, laughing,
- 45:39talking about new movies. We're watching
- 45:42movie trailers
- 45:44while we're doing painting and all that
- 45:46other stuff. So, it's still background
- 45:47noise to him because I think that's what
- 45:49he's used to is having background noise
- 45:51where me I can sit in here all day with
- 45:53not a peep, but he always has to have
- 45:55some kind of background noise, which I
- 45:57didn't mind because the trailers were
- 45:58cool and he was interested in showing
- 46:00them to me, getting excited about movies
- 46:02that were out or upcoming. Okay. So, on
- 46:06your laptop you're talking about. Okay.
- 46:08And I mean, and then it we it was you
- 46:11said it was a good day. like you guys
- 46:13didn't have any have any uh
- 46:15conversations about your relationship.
- 46:17You guys didn't go down like the rabbit
- 46:19hole like had too many to drink and you
- 46:21guys start getting Nope. When I tell you
- 46:23this, it made me so happy that he
- 46:26actually listened to what I I had to say
- 46:29with just we'll get through it. This
- 46:32will be fine. It's just it's it's a
- 46:35small hurdle that you and I together
- 46:37will get through because I'm talking
- 46:39about the money, jobs, daughters. Yes.
- 46:43Nothing relationship wise though, like
- 46:45no issues relation like did you guys
- 46:48have a conversation about your
- 46:49relationship or was it just about
- 46:51what's going on right now? Got it. I try
- 46:54to evoke it from him so he gets it off
- 46:58his chest because I call him the volcano
- 47:00where eventually he's going to erupt,
- 47:03right? And what he has learned in his
- 47:05classes is to communicate which is a
- 47:08huge thing in a relationship where he
- 47:10has been practicing communication. So he
- 47:13actually talks to me about things and
- 47:15unbburdens himself. Put it on me. I'll
- 47:18sit there and try and figure it out for
- 47:20you. Like I have almost everything. Mhm.
- 47:23Not a worry. Just tell me. Get it out of
- 47:25you. Right. But it was when I tell you I
- 47:28was so happy. Like it was such a good
- 47:31day. I kid you not. The weather was
- 47:33beautiful outside. I'm the one that had
- 47:35him go inside so we can do puzzles and
- 47:38painting and listen to music or whatever
- 47:40else he wants to do. So then he starts
- 47:42doing whatever it is we're doing
- 47:43together in the living room and then
- 47:47starts talking because I think he gets
- 47:49comfortable with, okay, you know what?
- 47:52We're here. It is a good day. Let me go
- 47:54ahead and explain myself so I know.
- 47:57Nobody else knows, but I know. Nobody
- 48:00knew George better than I did. I say
- 48:02that I knew George better than himself.
- 48:06And I tried in every way, shape, and
- 48:09form. Ask everyone.
- 48:12I helped him. I took care of him.
- 48:18I miss him a lot. And I didn't even
- 48:21sleep last night.
- 48:23I miss him a lot.
- 48:26I mean, is there any chance it got to be
- 48:27too much for you and you couldn't handle
- 48:29taking care of him? And I never stop
- 48:32trying to I never stop.
- 48:36That's what I'm here for.
- 48:38I never stopped. I'm here now and I'm
- 48:42still trying to help him. Yeah. We just
- 48:45don't I mean it's unexplainable how he
- 48:48got these injuries and I have no idea.
- 48:50You were the only one with him. 100%
- 48:54right hand to God. I have no idea how he
- 48:57got them. Nobody touched anybody. Nobody
- 49:02touched anybody.
- 49:05Okay. Um you had mentioned that you take
- 49:09uh you would take photos, videos just
- 49:12kind of like a proof and just in
- 49:14general. Yeah, I started documenting at
- 49:15one point, but that was that was way
- 49:18before I think the last time that he got
- 49:21arrested where he was flying off the
- 49:23deep end. Okay. But then I had him
- 49:27bailed out, I got him out of jail,
- 49:29right? But because he had violated the
- 49:32pre-trial diversion, they this time it's
- 49:35probation. So you don't have a choice in
- 49:37it. You have to go see your probation
- 49:40officer. You have to go to these
- 49:41classes. It's courtordered. Mhm. where
- 49:44it took him a while to get used to it
- 49:45and understand they're not messing
- 49:48around. I even went down and met his uh
- 49:50probation officer, which I say I she's
- 49:53she's wonderful. That's one of my
- 49:54questions I need to talk to you about.
- 49:57Hugged me and said how much she knows
- 49:59that I take care of him. She called me
- 50:01personally one time when George was at
- 50:03work, when he was working. 42minute
- 50:06phone call. She and I just saying how
- 50:08grateful she is that George has me and
- 50:11she knows how hard I'm working to help
- 50:14him just as she is and just as the
- 50:17classes will. So once he started
- 50:19actually going on a regular basis to the
- 50:21probation officer and then to his
- 50:25substance abuse class and his I don't
- 50:27know what VIP stands for, matters
- 50:29intervention program. And actually
- 50:31listening to what it is everyone had to
- 50:33say, he changed like I could I could see
- 50:36a change in him or before lashing out he
- 50:39would think about it
- 50:41and would always come home and show me
- 50:42his papers and we would look over his
- 50:44papers together where it's like wow you
- 50:47actually are learning this in class and
- 50:49some of the stuff that they would show
- 50:50them like videos he would come home and
- 50:53be like Sarah I'm so sorry for what I've
- 50:55done to you because or a video that he
- 50:58watches to make him feel that way where
- 51:02it's like oh and
- 51:05I have done her wrong.
- 51:08But he's changed. He changed
- 51:12and that's why you're still with him.
- 51:13Even though he's done all these things
- 51:14to you. And when I tell you I love him,
- 51:17I love him.
- 51:21Even when you have when you love
- 51:23somebody, you have limits. Everybody
- 51:25tells me that. All my neighbors don't
- 51:27tell me that. The office property
- 51:29manager. At some point somebody
- 51:33gets enough then they have to to do
- 51:36something to defend themselves.
- 51:38I would just flee. And I don't know if
- 51:41you would like to see on my phone or I
- 51:43think it's I think it's actually on a
- 51:44laptop. I actually because and you have
- 51:48to understand too I have like prior to
- 51:52classes and PO
- 51:54kicked him out how many times? I had him
- 51:57arrested how many times? But you also
- 51:59went down and bailed. I know. The next
- 52:02day. I know. What's on your laptop?
- 52:05Um, what was I gonna tell you?
- 52:09Oh, previously. Mhm.
- 52:13I actually looked up how to file a
- 52:14restraining order. Okay. Because I would
- 52:17kick him out, his parents, because of
- 52:20them constantly having to take him back
- 52:23in his bags of clothes, all his stuff.
- 52:27The one time, the last time, the father
- 52:29came out and I raped and just not even I
- 52:33think I don't even know if he knew Lucas
- 52:35was in the car. Just opened the back of
- 52:37my car and just started throwing all his
- 52:38crap in. Just throwing it like throwing
- 52:40it like the car would jostle. He was
- 52:42throwing all his stuff at that point
- 52:44because I continually did it. Not
- 52:46continually, I think I maybe did it
- 52:48three times and he has nowhere else to
- 52:50go. They got fed up and said, "Nope.
- 52:53Either you're staying there or you're
- 52:54staying here. But if you're staying here
- 52:56at their place, it's permanent. You're
- 52:59not going back over there anymore." So,
- 53:01what happens is he pursues me. So, I
- 53:05don't know if you all know where Katy
- 53:06Way Trail is. Okay. So, we It's
- 53:09literally right right there from our
- 53:12apartment. Mhm. would ride his bike to
- 53:16work, but before he would leave extra
- 53:18early and come up to the wall, stand on
- 53:20top of his bike and poke his head over
- 53:22because he would know that I would be
- 53:23outside having my morning cigarette and
- 53:26cup of coffee where and I would also
- 53:29know too what time he would get off of
- 53:30work where I would know come getting off
- 53:33of work, he's going to do the same
- 53:34thing. So, it's not like I ever got like
- 53:37a break from him where I told you all
- 53:39yesterday or whatever it was. I started
- 53:42to feel that it was too much
- 53:43togetherness. And when you have too much
- 53:46togetherness, friction happens. So, I'm
- 53:49gonna go ride my bike. I'm gonna go
- 53:50upstairs and read a book. But what he
- 53:53every what does he say? Every waking
- 53:55moment, he wants to be with me. So, and
- 53:59mind you, our town home is either
- 54:00upstairs or downstairs. So, it's like if
- 54:04you would like to sit downstairs and
- 54:05watch a movie or play on the laptop,
- 54:07look up some jobs, you're more than
- 54:09welcome to. I'm just going to be
- 54:10upstairs maybe watching one of my shows
- 54:12or maybe reading a book. So, and then
- 54:15when that would happen,
- 54:18we really needed that. So, what's for
- 54:20dinner? And then we would cook together
- 54:23and eat dinner and then crawl on the bed
- 54:25and watch the movie.
- 54:27You're talking about this is like
- 54:28recent. I don't you kind of like lost me
- 54:30like when what are you It was a while
- 54:31like a little while ago. Now you're
- 54:33talking about Now you're talking about
- 54:34tension building up and that you need
- 54:36space. So, have you been feeling that
- 54:38way lately or? No. Okay. No.
- 54:43Okay. My thing is too, so you all know
- 54:45Oh, I I hate that you can't talk to her,
- 54:48but
- 54:49um the his ex-wife, when I say a
- 54:52monster, she's a monster. Like, it does.
- 54:54She withholds her their children from
- 54:58speaking to him. So he gets upset about
- 55:01that and then she like completely
- 55:03berates him about money, about the
- 55:06father that he is, what he did to her,
- 55:08all this other stuff. It doesn't matter.
- 55:11I mean, mind you, this is not like good
- 55:13reason. But which is why he doesn't even
- 55:15bother calling anymore because he knows
- 55:17that he's she's going to answer and he's
- 55:18going to have to talk to her. So
- 55:19therefore, he can't talk to his
- 55:20daughter. The other time he talked to
- 55:23her, ma made her talk to Cookie. That's
- 55:26on my cell phone, too, so you can see
- 55:28it. Mhm. It doesn't matter. Like it
- 55:32doesn't matter.
- 55:34What does she have to do though with
- 55:36anything about what happened Sunday and
- 55:38into Monday? Like no, I'm just saying
- 55:40like previously why the incidents what
- 55:44happened is she plays a big part in it.
- 55:46Okay. On top of job and money and
- 55:49groceries and all that. Okay. Sunday I
- 55:53when I tell you this I have no idea. I
- 55:56have no idea. Is there anybody else at
- 55:59the house? No, it's just me and him.
- 56:04Um,
- 56:06since talking yesterday, do you remember
- 56:08any like time timelines better? Like
- 56:11what time
- 56:12uh you guys were playing, what time you
- 56:14he was zipped up in the luggage, what
- 56:17time you went upstairs? We started
- 56:20because we had we cleaned the house a
- 56:22little bit, did some laundry. You
- 56:24started the activities around 4:00, you
- 56:25said? Yes, around 4:00 4:30ish. And then
- 56:28you just said that it was dark when you
- 56:29were playing hide and seek. And I'm just
- 56:31curious if you remember. But when we
- 56:33were outside, that's where we would
- 56:34start and talk about things. And then
- 56:37eventually I was the one that had him
- 56:39come inside so we could What time do you
- 56:41remember what time that was? Is what
- 56:43she's asking.
- 56:46And she said, "You went up, you went up
- 56:48to bed around midnight." Midnight. Fell
- 56:50asleep around 12:30ish.
- 56:52But those are the only times I have. So,
- 56:54I have four and I have midnight. So,
- 56:56there's a big gap. So, I'm just curious
- 56:58like if you recall when you went
- 57:01upstairs to hide in the shower or like
- 57:04when we started to play hide and seek.
- 57:06Yeah.
- 57:08Well, we went inside probably about, if
- 57:12I had to guess, we were we weren't out
- 57:13there too long. Maybe about 6ish.
- 57:17Then you're talking about from hanging
- 57:18out outside and like Mhm. Okay. Well, we
- 57:20have two beach chairs that are out
- 57:22there, right? just enjoy the weather.
- 57:24Gotcha. Plus, it started to get dark and
- 57:26gnats and mosquitoes. Yeah. So, let's go
- 57:30inside. I don't want to be out here
- 57:31anymore. Okay. All right. Let's go. So,
- 57:33we're doing whatever. We did it for a
- 57:35while because that puzzle, I don't know
- 57:37if they took it or they saw it. Um,
- 57:40worked on the puzzle again, finished it.
- 57:43Started to paint. Well, started
- 57:44listening to music for a little bit.
- 57:47Started to paint. Uh, can we turn the
- 57:49music off? No problem. Start at the top.
- 57:52paint, whatever.
- 57:55Maybe
- 57:58gosh, that puzzle we worked on that for
- 58:00probably a good hour and a half. So
- 58:038:00ish
- 58:04is my hide upstairs
- 58:07originally. No, that's when we were like
- 58:09painting. So then it's like, okay, well
- 58:11I we can't I don't want to paint
- 58:13anymore. Let's just come on. Okay, you
- 58:16want to play hide and seek? What he does
- 58:18is okay, tag, you're it, which it's
- 58:20like, okay, we know. Okay, take off.
- 58:23That's what we did. And then you went
- 58:25upstairs and then he didn't come up and
- 58:27you came down and the suitcase was there
- 58:29originally because you guys were
- 58:31planning to do donations and it was
- 58:33already there. Um, have you guys ever
- 58:36played the You said you played
- 58:37hide-and-seek like probably three times
- 58:39in your relationship. When you have
- 58:41played, have you ever zipped him up in a
- 58:43suitcase prior? No. Okay. So, it was
- 58:46just kind of like that prop was there
- 58:48and it was there and it was in play
- 58:50because Why do you say it like that
- 58:53though? I would never do that. You would
- 58:56never zip them up in a suitcase.
- 58:58Well, I mean, we were playing. No, I
- 59:00know it's fine, but I'm saying I'm Well,
- 59:02I'm talking about hide-and-seek, which
- 59:04is a game. So, the suitcase originally
- 59:07is in our closet buried all the way to
- 59:10the back. If you Well, I know the CSI
- 59:13people saw our closet. Our closet needs
- 59:16to be cleaned out really bad. My son's
- 59:19clothes need to be cleaned out really
- 59:21bad because they don't fit him anymore
- 59:22and I'm tired of looking at him. So, he
- 59:24took it upon himself, including that
- 59:27suitcase to take it downstairs so we can
- 59:30get all of our clothes, our donations,
- 59:31and everything, and just leave the whole
- 59:33thing by the clothing and shoe thing at
- 59:36my son's school. Gotcha. No, we're just
- 59:39I'm just asking out of the in the past
- 59:41like have have you ever zipped him up in
- 59:44anything jokingly or not? But obviously
- 59:48I I understand you know you're claiming
- 59:50that Sunday it was a joking matter. You
- 59:52were laughing, he was laughing, but what
- 59:54I'm just asking is in the past like is
- 59:56it something that you guys normally do?
- 59:58Absolutely not. Okay. Um, we were
- 1:00:03actually this last game running out of
- 1:00:05places to hide because we have a town
- 1:00:07home where it's upstairs or downstairs.
- 1:00:09So,
- 1:00:11um, okay. So, do you remember making any
- 1:00:15videos or maybe having any conver
- 1:00:18anything any photos videos that you
- 1:00:21remember doing on your phone on Sunday?
- 1:00:28No, I think I took a picture of a dog.
- 1:00:31Okay. But your phone is password
- 1:00:33protected. You have the password. He has
- 1:00:36the facial recognition. So it's not like
- 1:00:38someone else could be on your phone. No,
- 1:00:40I have both. But you have the face and
- 1:00:42the password. Yeah. But he only has the
- 1:00:44face. Correct. No. To be able to get
- 1:00:47onto your phone. You told me that he
- 1:00:48looks at the phone. Oh, I misunderstood.
- 1:00:50I thought you were asking if I did. Yes,
- 1:00:52it's me. Okay. Does he have access to
- 1:00:54your phone? Because you said it's a
- 1:00:55shared phone. Okay. How does he have
- 1:00:57access? Sarah, can I buy your phone?
- 1:00:59Yeah, it's right there on the kitchen
- 1:01:00counter. Okay. But how does he get into
- 1:01:01it? Cuz it's password protection. He'll
- 1:01:03he'll come and get it to me and I'll
- 1:01:04just do the face thing. Where sometimes
- 1:01:06too like he's look, he'll joke with me
- 1:01:08and say, "Okay, I need to borrow your
- 1:01:09phone." He'll hold up while I'm cooking
- 1:01:11or doing something do the facial
- 1:01:13recognition. Okay. So, he doesn't know
- 1:01:14the password and he doesn't have the
- 1:01:16facial recognition. But he is the only
- 1:01:18other person that would use your phone.
- 1:01:19I'm assuming other people. Well, Lucas,
- 1:01:21right? But Lucas wasn't there someday.
- 1:01:24Right. Um,
- 1:01:27so to your recollection,
- 1:01:30no videos on Sunday? Not that I'm aware
- 1:01:33of. Okay. I mean, I like I guess maybe
- 1:01:36it's like a picture of them, the two of
- 1:01:38Tess and the dogs and George and them
- 1:01:43dancing, but I mean, or it's just Tess.
- 1:01:46Mhm. Okay. Um, so I have something that
- 1:01:50I want to show you that we found. Um,
- 1:01:53and
- 1:01:54it was from your phone. Mhm.
- 1:01:59Can you see it?
- 1:02:02If you need to move it around, go ahead.
- 1:02:13No, I don't remember that. For
- 1:02:15everything you've done to me.
- 1:02:17For everything you've done to me. Your
- 1:02:19battery is about to die. Shut up. Oh,
- 1:02:22okay.
- 1:02:24Let me
- 1:02:33The battery doesn't last very long.
- 1:02:35Yeah, it used to last a lot longer than
- 1:02:36that. I don't know what happened. Okay,
- 1:02:38let me just grab something. All right.
- 1:02:45No, I was just simply asking because um
- 1:02:48you had a look on your face when she
- 1:02:50asked you if you've ever done that
- 1:02:51before. You look kind of shocked and No.
- 1:02:55Okay. But why did you say it like that?
- 1:02:57Like I don't think you all understand
- 1:03:00who I am. Where Well, tell me. I mean,
- 1:03:03I've always been a straight A student. I
- 1:03:06am an outstanding mother to my son. I
- 1:03:08excel at everything.
- 1:03:12I
- 1:03:14I would not do that. You wouldn't lock
- 1:03:16some zip somebody in a suitcase.
- 1:03:20Well, I didn't like completely lock it.
- 1:03:22I mean, I opened it with one finger. I
- 1:03:24left enough in there for him to get out.
- 1:03:27Okay.
- 1:03:29And I wasn't planning on going upstairs
- 1:03:30and going to sleep. Okay.
- 1:03:41No, it was just the way you said it. You
- 1:03:42guys are scaring me. Why?
- 1:03:45Well, we just want you to watch this.
- 1:03:46This came from your phone. Don't you
- 1:03:48want to know what's on it? Yes, please.
- 1:04:06Is it long? Because I don't know how
- 1:04:07much I can take. Mm-
- 1:04:13I don't know how much I can pay. I don't
- 1:04:16know how to find her.
- 1:04:25Do I have to watch this?
- 1:04:28I continuously throw up. I don't sleep.
- 1:04:30I don't want to see it if that's okay.
- 1:04:34Well, it's on your phone
- 1:04:37and you can either explain it or we take
- 1:04:40it for what it is. Yeah. We're just
- 1:04:41trying to give you the opportunity to
- 1:04:42tell us what's going on. That's it.
- 1:04:49It's that long. 2 minutes. For
- 1:04:51everything you've done to me.
- 1:04:54For everything you've done to me.
- 1:04:57[ __ ] you.
- 1:05:03That's you. Your voice, stupid.
- 1:05:08Sarah,
- 1:05:10that's my name. Don't wear it on
- 1:05:17me.
- 1:05:20Yeah, that's when you do shook me.
- 1:05:28I don't want to watch it, please.
- 1:05:34Last last time we talked to you, you had
- 1:05:35said that you put him in the suitcase.
- 1:05:38He had two fingers hanging out and you I
- 1:05:40flipped him over.
- 1:05:42I flipped him over and that's where it
- 1:05:44was. There's two different videos and a
- 1:05:48still picture where Yeah. It shows you
- 1:05:50flipping him in different positions and
- 1:05:52him saying that he can't breathe and you
- 1:05:55saying it's [ __ ] So this is upside
- 1:05:56down. So in order for him to have gotten
- 1:05:59into it, it was flipped up, right? It
- 1:06:02was flipped up normal. Yes. Like as if
- 1:06:04you're packing something. So this is
- 1:06:06upside down. Guys, this is killing me
- 1:06:08right now. So this image is upside down.
- 1:06:11And then this small video that occurred
- 1:06:1511 minutes later, it's flipped over the
- 1:06:19other way
- 1:06:20closer to your dining room table. Okay.
- 1:06:23Now, he's obviously still in there. So,
- 1:06:25he didn't How did that How did it go
- 1:06:27from the back to the front? I flipped
- 1:06:29it. Okay.
- 1:06:32My plan was not to go upstairs and go to
- 1:06:34sleep.
- 1:06:36Well, that's what you did. Yeah. But not
- 1:06:39intentional. No, you told me you went
- 1:06:41upstairs because what you were getting
- 1:06:44ready for bed. Stop here. Okay, but here
- 1:06:47show me where you can see any fingers
- 1:06:50coming out because there's the end. It's
- 1:06:53And his head's right here. Mhm. So going
- 1:06:56like this rather than going all the way
- 1:06:58up. It's like this.
- 1:07:01But why is he saying I can't breathe?
- 1:07:04And why is he pushing on it as if he
- 1:07:06can't get out? It doesn't show a hole.
- 1:07:09There's no hole. There's no fingers. I
- 1:07:11don't see his fingers. There's no hole.
- 1:07:13I don't know what you want me to tell
- 1:07:15you. Like I don't know like what you
- 1:07:16want me to tell you. I'm just showing
- 1:07:18you I'm just telling you what we see and
- 1:07:20what we've heard from the other videos.
- 1:07:21I understand. I understand. He's begging
- 1:07:24to let for you to let him out. You sound
- 1:07:29You're laughing in the beginning and
- 1:07:30then in the end it sounds kind of like a
- 1:07:32No, it's not malicious.
- 1:07:35Well, saying [ __ ] you. It's not
- 1:07:37malicious. Then what is that? What does
- 1:07:40[ __ ] you mean to you?
- 1:07:43Well, like if you were to if I were to
- 1:07:44tell Oh, like he does. Like I get called
- 1:07:48everything but a white woman. So, okay.
- 1:07:50I My intention was not to leave him in
- 1:07:53there.
- 1:07:55Please understand that. My intention was
- 1:07:58not to leave him in there. But you went
- 1:08:01upstairs thinking that he could get
- 1:08:02himself out. But the video shows
- 1:08:07the point and I see his fingers and
- 1:08:08he'll be after any minute and then 30
- 1:08:11minutes later he didn't show and he's
- 1:08:13telling me and I wake up.
- 1:08:16Do you think he joking? You told me he
- 1:08:18was laughing and I We were before the
- 1:08:20video there's there's no We first got in
- 1:08:22there. Both of us were. So how long was
- 1:08:24he in there for? Like this video is at
- 1:08:2711:12 when it starts. So was he in there
- 1:08:29for like a long time prior to you
- 1:08:31recording this? No. No. So, it goes from
- 1:08:35funny to no longer funny. You're the
- 1:08:38only one laughing. But I didn't think
- 1:08:39that he
- 1:08:41was like panicky. Like I didn't I So
- 1:08:45pushing up on a suitcase saying Sarah,
- 1:08:48Sarah, Sarah, I can't breathe. I can't
- 1:08:51breathe.
- 1:08:53George has done that in the past before,
- 1:08:54too, where it's just like he thinks that
- 1:08:56he's wo is me kind of thing where it's
- 1:08:58like I don't he's never been locked in a
- 1:09:00suitcase that he couldn't get out. So,
- 1:09:02it's kind of I thought it was crawling
- 1:09:04wolf, crying wolf kind of thing. Okay.
- 1:09:07And again, my plan but nowhere in there
- 1:09:10is he laughing. Is he joking? He is
- 1:09:12begging
- 1:09:14and you're the only one laughing. Okay.
- 1:09:16And you're the only one saying
- 1:09:19derogatory
- 1:09:20comments like you're mad. No, please
- 1:09:24don't. I don't mean to sound negative
- 1:09:27and I don't know if I can say this, but
- 1:09:29like it's like you guys are kind of
- 1:09:31trying to like feed me like No, I'm just
- 1:09:33trying to show you a video that you no
- 1:09:34longer want to watch because you
- 1:09:35probably don't want to know the outcome
- 1:09:37of how and what you said. Well, I know
- 1:09:40what you you know what's on that video
- 1:09:42now? No. You remember making that video?
- 1:09:44Oh, why don't you remember making the
- 1:09:46video? Probably because we had been
- 1:09:48drinking. But you weren't drunk.
- 1:09:52Just because I went upstairs and just
- 1:09:54because you're drunk doesn't mean that
- 1:09:56you times that you were not drunk. You
- 1:09:58said that you had your wits about you.
- 1:10:00You said he had his wits about you. Mhm.
- 1:10:02You said that you don't like not having
- 1:10:05your wits. In my experience, if somebody
- 1:10:08cannot remember doing something to the
- 1:10:10extent of making two videos and a video
- 1:10:13and taking a photo,
- 1:10:16they are intoxicated.
- 1:10:18Okay, I understand where you all are
- 1:10:19coming from. Well, we're just trying to
- 1:10:21make sense of it. We're trying to figure
- 1:10:22out We're trying to figure out this
- 1:10:24video. Explain it to us. We're
- 1:10:26listening. I just did like we were
- 1:10:29playing and then like I thought it was
- 1:10:35my plan was not to go upstairs and go to
- 1:10:38sleep. My plan was not to He'll be up
- 1:10:40here any minute. But you willingly went
- 1:10:43upstairs and went to sleep. No one
- 1:10:45forced you to go upstairs and My plan
- 1:10:47wasn't also to leave him in the
- 1:10:48suitcase.
- 1:10:50So, why didn't you take him out? Because
- 1:10:51I went upstairs and then I fell asleep.
- 1:10:54But why didn't you consciously think
- 1:10:57he's asking to come out? He I didn't do
- 1:10:59it intentionally. What do you think is
- 1:11:02going to happen if you leave somebody in
- 1:11:03a confined space like that?
- 1:11:06Well, I thought by not zipping it up all
- 1:11:09the way, it would be okay. My plan was
- 1:11:12not to leave him in the What was your
- 1:11:14plan?
- 1:11:16waiting for him to come upstairs
- 1:11:18and then when he didn't I fell asleep.
- 1:11:22You said you were up there 30 minutes
- 1:11:24after 30 minutes somebody not coming up
- 1:11:27knowing that you that the last time you
- 1:11:29saw him was in the suitcase 30 minutes
- 1:11:31later you're like
- 1:11:33maybe I should go check on him maybe I
- 1:11:35shouldn't. No. Well, you that didn't
- 1:11:38cross your mind because that's like an
- 1:11:40assumption. Like that's what you all are
- 1:11:41thinking. Just we're asking. It's the
- 1:11:44whole
- 1:11:47It's the drinking.
- 1:11:51That's what it is. It's the drinking.
- 1:11:56I thought it was like I thought he was
- 1:11:58okay. Like I didn't that you He's
- 1:12:01telling you he's not. He's telling you
- 1:12:03Sarah, I can't breathe. He's saying your
- 1:12:05name and you're like, "That's my name.
- 1:12:06Don't wear it out." Guys, that's how we
- 1:12:10are with each other. Like, he has
- 1:12:15nobody understands our relationship.
- 1:12:17This the whole suitcase thing
- 1:12:20never happened before. Would you leave
- 1:12:22someone else in a suitcase? Would you
- 1:12:24leave Lucas in a suitcase jokingly? Cuz
- 1:12:26it was a joking matter. You put him in
- 1:12:27there jokingly. Would you leave Lucas
- 1:12:29jokingly in there? And you love Lucas,
- 1:12:31right? And you I wouldn't do that to him
- 1:12:33either. I wouldn't do that to him. So I
- 1:12:36I just Well, it's not like again I don't
- 1:12:38think you all understand like it's
- 1:12:42I mean it's not my that was not my
- 1:12:44intention,
- 1:12:46but y'all don't have any idea what I did
- 1:12:48for him. But by your acts and that's
- 1:12:50exactly right. You get to the point
- 1:12:52where you've done so much for somebody
- 1:12:54and they don't show you any
- 1:12:55appreciation. He did.
- 1:12:59Not by by your words in the video. I
- 1:13:02don't get that. He did because you bring
- 1:13:04up the fact that when he's choking you,
- 1:13:06you can't breathe. That's how you felt
- 1:13:08when he cheated on you, you couldn't
- 1:13:10breathe and you verbally several times
- 1:13:13told him just [ __ ] you. You said it in
- 1:13:15the video. Don't let us play the rest of
- 1:13:17it cuz you don't want to. When I say
- 1:13:19cheating, it's on his phone. Okay.
- 1:13:23Cheating is cheating. I think so, too.
- 1:13:25Exactly. It's your definition of
- 1:13:27cheating, though. So, I mean, that's
- 1:13:29what the word cheat means. And that's
- 1:13:31what you told him in the video that I
- 1:13:33couldn't breathe when you cheated on me.
- 1:13:36No, that how I felt when he said,
- 1:13:38"Sarah, I can't breathe." And you told I
- 1:13:41don't know what you
- 1:13:43This is
- 1:13:45What would you say if somebody told you
- 1:13:47that they had done this? Done what? Zip
- 1:13:51somebody in a suitcase and went up and
- 1:13:52went to bed. Do you all not think So you
- 1:13:54all think that it's like, "Oh, good. I
- 1:13:56got him in there. Now I'm going to go to
- 1:13:57sleep." Is that what you guys are trying
- 1:13:59to assume
- 1:14:01or trying to like we're just the video
- 1:14:06is very portraying of the opposite of
- 1:14:08what you told us? It does not it is not
- 1:14:12leading up it is not matching what
- 1:14:15statement you gave us in the car. So and
- 1:14:18that's why we want to know and I don't
- 1:14:20remember doing this the injuries are not
- 1:14:24consistent with what you've told us. So
- 1:14:26we have a lot of inconsistencies and
- 1:14:28this video
- 1:14:32explains itself. It really truly does.
- 1:14:35Do you don't think that I have thought
- 1:14:36about that thought about the video or
- 1:14:39thought about but no again if you don't
- 1:14:41mind please. So you all are assuming
- 1:14:45that it's like oh good I got him in
- 1:14:47there now I'm going to go to sleep. Is
- 1:14:49that what you all are assuming? Well
- 1:14:51it's not an assumption when that's what
- 1:14:52you told us that happened. That's what
- 1:14:53happened. and the video.
- 1:14:57Yeah. I mean,
- 1:15:00I'm not gonna say
- 1:15:03you thought he could get out on his, but
- 1:15:06the video shows that he can knock it out
- 1:15:08on his own, but I but when I unzipped
- 1:15:11it, I unzipped it with one finger from
- 1:15:12the outside. But it had the hole in it.
- 1:15:18And you're claiming that it had a paper
- 1:15:20clip. So that's what assisted you in
- 1:15:22doing it. What you told us? When I had
- 1:15:24my sweatshirt, I said I thought it had a
- 1:15:26paper clip on it. It's got But the
- 1:15:28zipper part is broken. That's Yes. Which
- 1:15:30is why we were going to zip it. Yeah. I
- 1:15:33I just You were able to unzip it from
- 1:15:35the outside very easily cuz that's the
- 1:15:37way they're designed. But you could on
- 1:15:39the inside, too.
- 1:15:42I don't know how. Well, why wouldn't he
- 1:15:43have gotten himself out if he could? He
- 1:15:45was I don't know. Like I don't know if
- 1:15:47he saw like where the hole was. I don't
- 1:15:49know. I didn't see a hole. I didn't see
- 1:15:51no fingers. the only one that's that's
- 1:15:53what I'm saying like he's in one
- 1:15:55position and where his head would be we
- 1:15:58should be able to see fingers and then
- 1:16:00when it's flipped over onto this right
- 1:16:02side again his head is closer to us
- 1:16:05facing the video so we should be able to
- 1:16:06see fingers and we don't see anything we
- 1:16:08see no movement of him trying to unzip
- 1:16:10it or physically unzipping it all we see
- 1:16:12is pushing up trying to push out of it
- 1:16:16please do not assume I'm not assuming I
- 1:16:20haven't attuned anything I follow
- 1:16:22evidence. But my intention was not
- 1:16:24again, oh good, I got him in there. Now
- 1:16:26I'm just going to go to sleep. What do
- 1:16:28you think someone that knows nothing
- 1:16:30about this or here's just a little bit
- 1:16:32like, oh, they were playing around in a
- 1:16:34suitcase and then probably went to
- 1:16:37sleep. That's what happened. But you let
- 1:16:40him out before I put him in. So why
- 1:16:41didn't you take him out? Because I was
- 1:16:43upstairs and I fell asleep. No, before
- 1:16:46you went upstairs, you like consciously
- 1:16:48had to walk upstairs. Do I mean you
- 1:16:50obviously remember going to bed because
- 1:16:51you were able to give me a time frame on
- 1:16:52that and you specifically told me that
- 1:16:55that you went upstairs.
- 1:16:57My intention was not for this to happen.
- 1:17:02I am sick about it.
- 1:17:06I've never done anything like this
- 1:17:08before in the past. I am sick,
- 1:17:13especially with that. I thought I
- 1:17:14couldn't sleep last night.
- 1:17:17I don't know. Well, here's the thing.
- 1:17:20You tell us last night, you you vividly
- 1:17:22remember this when you told us last
- 1:17:24night that he was laughing. You were
- 1:17:26laughing. You put him in the suitcase.
- 1:17:28He has two fingers sticking out and you
- 1:17:29go to bed. Now, we see something totally
- 1:17:32different and it actually shows you
- 1:17:34upset and again using uh derogatory
- 1:17:39terms to him when he's begging for his
- 1:17:41legs to get out of that suitcase. So, so
- 1:17:44my thing is say we're assuming we're not
- 1:17:46assuming what's on there. But so it just
- 1:17:48happened to be that whenever I was
- 1:17:50videotaping or doing whatever else it
- 1:17:52was had just happened to not have that
- 1:17:53in it. Okay.
- 1:17:56And you also in the video you can't see
- 1:17:57any holes. There's nowhere in that where
- 1:18:00the zipper separates and you could see a
- 1:18:02hole. If there's a hole he's pushing on
- 1:18:04it begging you to get out. We should
- 1:18:06probably see that that that hole in he
- 1:18:09eventually would have been able to get
- 1:18:10out. Yeah. alcohol. Based off what
- 1:18:12you're telling us, he should have been
- 1:18:13able to get out. But the video
- 1:18:16shows him attempting to get out, begging
- 1:18:18to get out, and he can't. So, that's
- 1:18:20that's just what we're trying to figure
- 1:18:22out. I don't know if maybe you had too
- 1:18:24much to drink. You zipped it up all the
- 1:18:25way, and then you know, I did not zip it
- 1:18:27up all the way. Okay. Well, I did not
- 1:18:31zip it up all the way.
- 1:18:35This is horrific. Okay. Horrific. It is
- 1:18:39terrible. horrific.
- 1:18:42I don't think I'll ever be right because
- 1:18:44of this. Ever be right. Dealing with
- 1:18:47everything else that I have in my life
- 1:18:49personally and then this okay whom I
- 1:18:53loved.
- 1:18:56It was not intentional.
- 1:18:59I will put my hand on the Bible. It was
- 1:19:01not intentional.
- 1:19:04I would not do that to him nor anyone
- 1:19:06else. But you did
- 1:19:10not intentional. You intentionally went
- 1:19:13up to bed. I didn't intentionally go to
- 1:19:15bed because I'm thinking, "Okay, good
- 1:19:16night. He get out." How did you not
- 1:19:19intentionally go to bed? You said you
- 1:19:20went up to upstairs and got into bed.
- 1:19:22That's intentionally going to bed,
- 1:19:24waiting for him. And he doesn't come,
- 1:19:27but you don't go down to check on him.
- 1:19:29So, I happen to go to sleep. When I say
- 1:19:31go to sleep, and what do you normally do
- 1:19:33when you do? What do you normally do
- 1:19:34when you go to bed? What do you mean?
- 1:19:36What is a bed for?
- 1:19:38Going to sleep. Right. So, you go to bed
- 1:19:41to do what? You tell too that like I You
- 1:19:43go to bed to do what? Okay.
- 1:19:48You kept telling us, "Hey, I wasn't
- 1:19:49intoxicated. I wasn't this. I wasn't
- 1:19:51that."
- 1:19:53Being drunk and intoxicated, which
- 1:19:57yes, you can tell that I had been
- 1:19:58drinking, but Okay. So, if you weren't
- 1:20:01intoxicated,
- 1:20:03then why would you ever leave somebody
- 1:20:05in a suitcase that's begging to get out
- 1:20:07that's telling you they can't breathe?
- 1:20:09If I weren't, if I hadn't been drinking,
- 1:20:12you you still think it would be the same
- 1:20:13thing where it's like, hop in. Uh, I'm
- 1:20:15going to go to sleep.
- 1:20:18Is that what you all are trying to do to
- 1:20:21portray? I'm not trying to do anything.
- 1:20:23I'm simply asking you to explain to me
- 1:20:26what happened.
- 1:20:28Everything was fine and dandy.
- 1:20:32I was fine and dandy. Was fine and
- 1:20:35dandy. You all okay for for me to tell
- 1:20:39you this again,
- 1:20:41mind you, I've been without him for a
- 1:20:43day now. Mhm.
- 1:20:48I don't
- 1:20:50know.
- 1:20:53I I I mean I don't know what you all
- 1:20:56want me to tell you because this was not
- 1:20:58in any way, shape, or form hand on the
- 1:21:01Bible intentional. Okay. So, you just
- 1:21:04left him. You left him there to teach
- 1:21:06him a lesson. I didn't mean to leave him
- 1:21:10there. That's what I'm trying to tell
- 1:21:11you. You got up and walked away. How is
- 1:21:14that not intentionally leaving him
- 1:21:15there? Because I'm looking at the hole
- 1:21:17knowing that it's it's there.
- 1:21:20He'll get out. No harm because you don't
- 1:21:22and then he doesn't but you don't go
- 1:21:23check on him.
- 1:21:25You say you're up for 30 minutes and he
- 1:21:27doesn't come up. You don't go down and
- 1:21:29check on him. I'm in the bed. You even
- 1:21:32move. You move You admit to moving the
- 1:21:36suitcase like over. So roll it. You roll
- 1:21:39it over like it's not like I didn't want
- 1:21:41him to be me like that.
- 1:21:44Don't you didn't want him to be upside
- 1:21:46down. How do you even get upside down? I
- 1:21:52You guys are killing me right now. I
- 1:21:55just want you to hear Shut the [ __ ] up.
- 1:21:57That's how he talks to me most of the
- 1:21:59time.
- 1:22:06I don't know how I don't know how
- 1:22:10you want me to say it. I'm just trying
- 1:22:13to figure out what you would expect to
- 1:22:15happen to somebody when you leave them
- 1:22:16in a suitcase. I didn't mean to leave
- 1:22:18him in there. Okay. What's your
- 1:22:21reasoning for um not calling 911 sooner
- 1:22:25because I didn't know what to do and how
- 1:22:27horrific it was.
- 1:22:30I called Ryan and like what 5 minutes
- 1:22:32later I called you guys. Not even 5
- 1:22:34minutes. Nonetheless that I had to like
- 1:22:36try to I was trying to do CPR.
- 1:22:39I was trying to do CPR. I had to get him
- 1:22:41out
- 1:22:43and try to do CPR
- 1:22:46and then called you guys and then was
- 1:22:49continually doing CPR with the dispatch
- 1:22:52on the phone where he had me count out
- 1:22:55loud to help me focus on what I was
- 1:22:58doing.
- 1:23:05It just
- 1:23:07I don't know how
- 1:23:10I mean you you can sit here all day long
- 1:23:13and say I thought he was going to get
- 1:23:14himself out but that's
- 1:23:17he didn't and you went upstairs and you
- 1:23:22stayed there for 30 minutes before he
- 1:23:23fell asleep. How But can I say too like
- 1:23:26you chose not to ever at any point
- 1:23:28during that 30 minutes walk back down
- 1:23:30and check on him. No, wait one second
- 1:23:32because I know like with you all and
- 1:23:34then like cuz you continually ask me
- 1:23:37like time frames, time frames, time
- 1:23:39frames where I told you like I don't
- 1:23:41bother even looking at the clock most of
- 1:23:42the time. So it's like a guesstimate. So
- 1:23:45I for all I know I was maybe it was 10
- 1:23:47minutes. Okay. But the point is you left
- 1:23:51the living room where he was begging for
- 1:23:54help and went upstairs. Regardless of
- 1:23:57how long you were there, you left. You
- 1:23:59say I thought he was the boy calling
- 1:24:01wolf again. Okay. So, when he asked to
- 1:24:05be let out like what's your reasoning
- 1:24:07for not letting him out when I was
- 1:24:09upstairs? No. When he's asking on the
- 1:24:11video, he asked multiple times. He asked
- 1:24:14to be let out. I can't breathe. What?
- 1:24:15Like, why didn't you let him out?
- 1:24:18Well, number one, I number one, I had no
- 1:24:21idea it was going to end like that.
- 1:24:23Okay. Number one. Okay. Uh, number two,
- 1:24:26just you know what? I'll give you five
- 1:24:30minutes or so in there. That's They'll
- 1:24:32give you five minutes or so. Five
- 1:24:34minutes for what?
- 1:24:37Well, based off the video, one video is
- 1:24:39at 11:12 and the next one's 11:23. So,
- 1:24:42you actually gave him at least 11
- 1:24:44minutes per video recording. So, my my
- 1:24:47thing is when it stopped, he asked
- 1:24:49multiple times. I mean, why why did you
- 1:24:51not let him out? It's just a simple
- 1:24:53question. To be honest with you, I I
- 1:24:55mean
- 1:24:57were you punishing him?
- 1:25:00No, just Well, that's what you're saying
- 1:25:02in the video.
- 1:25:04This is what you get. This is what you
- 1:25:06make me feel like. See, and then it's
- 1:25:09all backfired on me. Like, it's all
- 1:25:11backfired on me. And I understand the
- 1:25:13severity of this. I just No, he's dead.
- 1:25:15It's awful. I know. Okay.
- 1:25:19It's awful.
- 1:25:22And I will tell you both this right now
- 1:25:24too. I will never drink alcohol again.
- 1:25:27Okay? Like I will never drink alcohol
- 1:25:29again. I don't care what it is in any
- 1:25:31way, shape, or form.
- 1:25:33But let's get back to this. What was the
- 1:25:37reason for leaving him when he's begging
- 1:25:38to be let out? I don't understand that.
- 1:25:40What I have a feeling was, and again,
- 1:25:42it's the whole time frame thing. You all
- 1:25:44I'm not asking a time frame. I don't
- 1:25:46care about a time frame. So he's in the
- 1:25:47bag saying I when I my god and you say
- 1:25:51[ __ ] you when he so like for like the
- 1:25:55whole few minutes that he was in there
- 1:25:56like I minimum 11 but yes go ahead it's
- 1:26:01a few
- 1:26:0311 minimum one video
- 1:26:08well in between the two videos between
- 1:26:09the two videos. Okay. Yeah. So so what
- 1:26:12what's the question again? When he's
- 1:26:14begging for his life, telling you, "He
- 1:26:16can't breathe. Let me out." And you say,
- 1:26:18"Fuck you." Why don't you just let him
- 1:26:20out? What are you trying to prove to
- 1:26:22him?
- 1:26:28There was obviously something in your
- 1:26:29head that you were thinking of when he
- 1:26:31was asking to let be let out and you're
- 1:26:33like, you know, again, it's the boy
- 1:26:35calling wolf.
- 1:26:37Okay. But where does where does this
- 1:26:39game end? I don't You say this is a
- 1:26:42game. And you got obviously like the
- 1:26:44wrong way.
- 1:26:46So what was your intention for leaving
- 1:26:47him in there? And it's not fair. It is
- 1:26:50not fair. You guys are trying to again
- 1:26:54Oh, he's in there. Night night.
- 1:26:58That's what happened.
- 1:27:00No, that's absolutely what happened.
- 1:27:02Intentionally. How's it not? You got up
- 1:27:05off the couch, walked up a flight of
- 1:27:07stairs, and got in your bed thinking he
- 1:27:10was going to get out. And he didn't. And
- 1:27:12you still didn't go down and tell and
- 1:27:13it's the whole 30 minute thing that you
- 1:27:14guys are trying whatever. It's like I
- 1:27:16for all I know it was 10 minutes life.
- 1:27:18He's begging for his wife telling you he
- 1:27:20can't breathe. I don't know what you
- 1:27:21want me to tell you. Like I don't
- 1:27:24I didn't intentionally mean for this to
- 1:27:27happen. But you did tell us why you left
- 1:27:31him in there and went upstairs.
- 1:27:34That's my only issue. Like what am I
- 1:27:35supposed to write? What do I write? So,
- 1:27:37my thing is though, it's what I have a
- 1:27:39feeling is I went upstairs and just hit
- 1:27:42the bed kind of thing. But again, I'm
- 1:27:45thinking he'll be up here any minute,
- 1:27:49but then I go out. But my question is,
- 1:27:53why don't you just let him out prior to
- 1:27:55going up? I don't know why
- 1:27:58he's begging to be let out. He's not
- 1:27:59laughing. He's not having fun. This You
- 1:28:02said You said this was supposed to be
- 1:28:04fun. You were laughing before. Before
- 1:28:06you said he was laughing, you were
- 1:28:08laughing. You went upstairs, he had his
- 1:28:10fingers out of the bag and he was
- 1:28:11playing. Well, obviously that's not the
- 1:28:13case. So, are you guys So, what is it
- 1:28:16you're trying to like I'm just trying to
- 1:28:18figure out why
- 1:28:20why
- 1:28:23what was the motivation for leaving him
- 1:28:24in the bag? Why he was left in the bag?
- 1:28:26Why did they I didn't have any
- 1:28:28motivation. It was me, he and I having a
- 1:28:31great day, fooling around and being
- 1:28:33stupid and apparently me going upstairs
- 1:28:36and going to hitting the bed, not going
- 1:28:40to sleep where it's like, hm, I'm tired
- 1:28:41now. I'm going to go to sleep. That's
- 1:28:43that's excluding, you know, that's a
- 1:28:44good analogy for the day. Excluding the
- 1:28:46fact that he's got a a bump on the back
- 1:28:49of his head, a bump on the front of his
- 1:28:50head, and his lip is busted, and he has
- 1:28:52a bump on his eye. I mean, I don't know
- 1:28:54what you all want me to tell you. Like
- 1:28:58this is not fair at all. At all. Yes.
- 1:29:02That you all are assuming that that's
- 1:29:04from me. Where else did it come from? If
- 1:29:06you were say it's opposite. You were in
- 1:29:09a suitcase and you're asking to be let
- 1:29:11out. Would you hope that that person
- 1:29:14would let you out? Like you're asking to
- 1:29:16be let out of a suitcase. Should they
- 1:29:17not let you out?
- 1:29:20Eventually.
- 1:29:22I'm guessing. I mean, I don't
- 1:29:25I'm blaming it on the wine. Blaming it
- 1:29:28on the wine.
- 1:29:31So, you guys are like assuming that You
- 1:29:33keep saying we're assuming. Oh, we're
- 1:29:34not. We haven't assumed anything. But
- 1:29:37you guys are assuming that that's what I
- 1:29:41did. No. By what? The facts of what
- 1:29:46happened. We got there. You said you
- 1:29:48pulled him out of a suitcase. You said
- 1:29:49you went up. You went to bed. We're not
- 1:29:52assuming that. These are the facts that
- 1:29:53you're telling us now is like, "Oh, I'm
- 1:29:55tired. Oh, I'm tired." Well, that's what
- 1:29:57you told me on a sworn recorded
- 1:29:59statement yesterday because when I said,
- 1:30:01"Oh, you went upstairs and passed out."
- 1:30:03You were like, "No, I did not pass out."
- 1:30:04You got attitude with me because you
- 1:30:06were assume you thought I was assuming
- 1:30:08that you were drunk. So, that's that's
- 1:30:10an assumption. That was an assumption
- 1:30:12when I said you passed out. And guess
- 1:30:13what? You corrected me. You were very
- 1:30:16adamant about the fact that both of you
- 1:30:17had your weather. What's your favorite
- 1:30:19word to use?
- 1:30:21compassment.
- 1:30:24You've used it today, too, that to say
- 1:30:26that you guys are within your within
- 1:30:28your wits.
- 1:30:30There's two two empty bottles of wine.
- 1:30:33No, but I drank both of them. I think
- 1:30:35you did. We didn't. There's receipts for
- 1:30:38the They were both purchased yesterday,
- 1:30:39so I don't know how you didn't cuz they
- 1:30:42weren't there the day before. The one
- 1:30:44Publiclix receipts from yesterday. Mhm.
- 1:30:48Only thing purchased on either one was a
- 1:30:50single bottle of wine. Two of them. So,
- 1:30:52we have each bottle of wine that was
- 1:30:54empty in your garbage can that you
- 1:30:55purchased yesterday or he purchased but
- 1:30:57you two would have consumed together.
- 1:31:01Okay. Well, I I mean it's receipts, so
- 1:31:04it's not even worth the
- 1:31:06So, this is
- 1:31:10So, I don't know what you guys are.
- 1:31:14I don't I don't know. We were just
- 1:31:16hoping that we could figure out why you
- 1:31:19What was the motivation? There was no
- 1:31:20motivation.
- 1:31:23Well, but we're watching a video that
- 1:31:25after talking to you, everything was
- 1:31:28laughing and fun. Now we're watching a
- 1:31:30video where it's not laughing and fun.
- 1:31:32He's begging for his life and you are in
- 1:31:34a very angry voice telling him to [ __ ]
- 1:31:37off. No. Yes. That's absolutely what it
- 1:31:40was. It's not an assumption. The video
- 1:31:43is there. We played it for you.
- 1:31:46So, you guys think that I intentionally
- 1:31:51You did. You got up on the couch and
- 1:31:54walked up the couch. I walked up the
- 1:31:55stairs and got into bed. That was
- 1:31:58intentional. There's no way getting
- 1:31:59around that. You intentionally did that.
- 1:32:01Nobody drugged you up there. You didn't
- 1:32:03float up the damn stairs. Okay. Well,
- 1:32:05it's not fair. It's not fair that you
- 1:32:08guys keep trying to say that that's what
- 1:32:09I did.
- 1:32:12I don't know what to tell you. You told
- 1:32:15us that. You didn't go upstairs
- 1:32:18again. There was a hole in a suitcase. I
- 1:32:22unzipped it from the hole with one
- 1:32:25finger. Well, the damn hole didn't do
- 1:32:26him no good, did it?
- 1:32:29But he could push it open. No, he
- 1:32:31couldn't. I The video shows him pushing
- 1:32:34up. If he could push it open, why
- 1:32:37wouldn't he have gotten out himself? Why
- 1:32:38would he beg you to open it? Okay. Tell
- 1:32:40you he can't breathe.
- 1:32:43Okay. If someone can do something for
- 1:32:45themselves, they're going to do it. They
- 1:32:46don't need assistance. Unless they need
- 1:32:48assistance. But why would he and start
- 1:32:51doing it? Cuz he couldn't cuz it was all
- 1:32:53the way zipped. Okay. Didn't see it. It
- 1:32:55wasn't.
- 1:32:57I intentionally didn't do it. That I
- 1:33:00intentionally did not do. What? You
- 1:33:02intentionally do what? Zip it all the
- 1:33:04way.
- 1:33:07He nor I nor I. Well, he's dead as a
- 1:33:11result on each other. He is dead as a
- 1:33:14result. I understand that. That's why
- 1:33:16you two didn't lay hands on each other.
- 1:33:18No. No.
- 1:33:21I don't have anything. You're right. He
- 1:33:24doesn't. Whatever that is, whatever this
- 1:33:27whatever it is, he does. See, this is
- 1:33:30what happens. It's not fair that you
- 1:33:32guys just because he has those
- 1:33:34automatically blame it on me. Like what
- 1:33:37about when you had you your injuries and
- 1:33:39he gets arrested? Is that not fair?
- 1:33:41Really? Like really the exact same
- 1:33:43thing. He he has injuries. You have
- 1:33:46injuries. Like what does that mean? I
- 1:33:48don't have any injuries. Correct.
- 1:33:50Because he and I have not been at it
- 1:33:52with one another. So every time that you
- 1:33:54guys fight, you you both hit each other.
- 1:33:56So, you should have probably gone to
- 1:33:58jail all those times that he went to
- 1:33:59jail for domestic. Oh, the one time I
- 1:34:01did,
- 1:34:03but he completely completely
- 1:34:06trashed the police report cuz that's
- 1:34:10nothing what happened because the reason
- 1:34:12why I got taken in was because my story
- 1:34:13was different than his.
- 1:34:16So, I'm being portrayed as like this
- 1:34:20abuser.
- 1:34:22We're not saying that he doesn't abuse
- 1:34:24you. Absolutely. We're not trying. So,
- 1:34:26I'm the one that's being portrayed as
- 1:34:27the error
- 1:34:30because I have never dealt with anything
- 1:34:32like this before. I don't know what to
- 1:34:34do, how to do it. And I always know what
- 1:34:36to do and how to do it.
- 1:34:39This I don't know. So, I don't know like
- 1:34:41what's going on or like
- 1:34:46we are simply trying to find out as
- 1:34:48well. Again, we got one side of the
- 1:34:51story. You're telling us we're going
- 1:34:53with what you're saying, but then we
- 1:34:55find stuff that negates what you're
- 1:34:57telling us. And I don't even remember
- 1:34:58doing that. Okay.
- 1:35:02You're telling us that we're assuming
- 1:35:03stuff, but what we're simply doing is
- 1:35:05telling you what we saw in the video and
- 1:35:06repeating what you told us. I understand
- 1:35:08because I don't remember that. Okay.
- 1:35:12Doesn't mean it didn't happen just cuz
- 1:35:13you don't remember it.
- 1:35:15So, is the texting thing something about
- 1:35:18me? Like what's is the what?
- 1:35:22Texting. Oh, no. I'm texting. No, I
- 1:35:26don't. You guys are scaring me. So, like
- 1:35:28I don't know like what to expect. I
- 1:35:30mean, I had questions of things that
- 1:35:31needed to be taken care of. Like I don't
- 1:35:33What are your questions? I I have one
- 1:35:36last question. I just I mean you you
- 1:35:39realize you're the person that killed
- 1:35:40him, right? I thought about that. Okay.
- 1:35:43You left him in a bag when he's begging
- 1:35:44you, saying, "I can't breathe. Let me
- 1:35:46out." and you said, "Fuck you." And you
- 1:35:49got up off the couch and went upstairs
- 1:35:50and left him in that bag.
- 1:35:53Not intentionally.
- 1:35:56Again, I would never do that to George.
- 1:35:59You did. Not intentionally.
- 1:36:03Know that. I don't know that. You got up
- 1:36:09and you went up to bed. Alcohol is a
- 1:36:12shitty thing.
- 1:36:15It's alcohol.
- 1:36:17Not again the reason that you tell them.
- 1:36:22You all please sit down. Listen to me.
- 1:36:25Please sit down. You all listen.
- 1:36:30I did not
- 1:36:34not intentionally
- 1:36:37kill him.
- 1:36:39Okay. So your intention I don't know
- 1:36:40what it is I need to do or how to do it
- 1:36:43or what to say or how to say it. But
- 1:36:46your but what was your intention?
- 1:36:47Everyone knows everyone knows everything
- 1:36:50that I've done for George and love him
- 1:36:52and continuously helped him throughout
- 1:36:54his life with me and made him a happier
- 1:36:58better person and everybody has their
- 1:37:00limit. Everyone knows that. Everybody
- 1:37:01has their limits. So it's like okay so
- 1:37:04while we're in a good place right now
- 1:37:06I'm going to snap. Is that what it Well,
- 1:37:08we're in a good place right now.
- 1:37:11Absolutely. I got you on video
- 1:37:13screaming, "Fuck you."
- 1:37:15This is what it feels like when you're
- 1:37:16choking me. This is what it feels like.
- 1:37:19Which was however long ago me.
- 1:37:22You said the video was from last night.
- 1:37:24Clearly, so yeah, there's still feelings
- 1:37:28towards it. You wouldn't say it if you
- 1:37:30didn't feel it, but I would never do
- 1:37:33that. But it happened and you did. But
- 1:37:35that's after being playful. But no one's
- 1:37:38having a good day. No one's laughing
- 1:37:39except you. Everybody's having a good
- 1:37:41day. Oh, I'm sorry. I would hate to see
- 1:37:43a bad day.
- 1:37:46Y'all are making me out to be a person
- 1:37:49that I'm not. Nor have Or will I ever
- 1:37:52be. Or are you a different person when
- 1:37:54you're drunk?
- 1:37:57People have different personalities
- 1:37:58after they consume alcohol. It depends
- 1:38:01if like it's Well, because you're sober
- 1:38:04now. So sober you are supposed to drop
- 1:38:08you. Not
- 1:38:11it's both of us. It's both of us. And
- 1:38:14it's again it's not fair that you all
- 1:38:18are assuming that the marks that he has
- 1:38:21on him are from me. We asked you where
- 1:38:23they came from. I have no idea. Well,
- 1:38:26nobody else was there. So nobody else is
- 1:38:28I have no idea.
- 1:38:31I swear I did not lay a hand on him.
- 1:38:35Okay. You just zipped them in the bag.
- 1:38:36Nor he. You just zipped them in the bag
- 1:38:39and then you flipped the bag around
- 1:38:41several times. I didn't do that
- 1:38:43intentionally. You didn't intentionally
- 1:38:44flip the bag around? No. Why would I do
- 1:38:46that? Well, you Good question. You did
- 1:38:49when he was upside down, right? Well,
- 1:38:52you had to put him upside down. You
- 1:38:54can't get in a suitcase upside down
- 1:38:55because the Oh my gosh. You put the And
- 1:38:58that stands where his body was.
- 1:39:00Unfortunately, okay, nobody else is
- 1:39:02there. That's a video showing the the
- 1:39:05suitcase in several different positions.
- 1:39:08So, it shows one, like she just said, it
- 1:39:11had to been on its back with the lid
- 1:39:13open for him to get in there for you to
- 1:39:14zip it up. Then, it shows it on the
- 1:39:16other side with him in it. So, you had
- 1:39:17to flip it to there. Then, there's
- 1:39:19another video where it's on his back
- 1:39:21again. So, you had to I'm leaving it
- 1:39:23like this, please. I'm leaving it like
- 1:39:24this. I did not intentionally do this.
- 1:39:29No malicious content or effort was
- 1:39:33towards this. No malicious. I would say
- 1:39:37does that help you sleep? But you're not
- 1:39:38sleeping. So I mean last night I maybe
- 1:39:42got an hour right in your voice. You can
- 1:39:44hear the maliciousness. The [ __ ] you is
- 1:39:46very very
- 1:39:48You don't talk to people like that.
- 1:39:50That's not like a common like hey Scott
- 1:39:52[ __ ] you. That's not that's not common.
- 1:39:55It's not something people do. And no one
- 1:39:57that sees that is going to think that.
- 1:39:59Okay. So, we were trying to give you an
- 1:40:01opportunity and and it is what it is.
- 1:40:04There's no maliciousness towards that. I
- 1:40:08would probably be telling myself that my
- 1:40:10intent my intent was not for that to
- 1:40:13happen. But you went upstairs and went
- 1:40:16to bed or maybe you passed out. I don't
- 1:40:18know. Waiting for him. And the whole
- 1:40:21time frame thing it's like it's
- 1:40:23regardless that's not really fair.
- 1:40:25that's waiting for him. It's not like
- 1:40:27you you walked up the stairs. No one can
- 1:40:30you can't fly up the stairs. No one can
- 1:40:32take you up their stairs. You go up the
- 1:40:33stairs. You lay in the bed and you wait
- 1:40:37for him. Who cares if it's 5 minutes?
- 1:40:39Who cares if it's 30 freaking seconds.
- 1:40:41He's begging for his life. He's begging
- 1:40:44to get out. You go upstairs. You leave
- 1:40:47him. It doesn't matter. So it could it
- 1:40:49get the time frame out of your mind,
- 1:40:51[ __ ] Like it doesn't ma it it doesn't
- 1:40:54matter because
- 1:40:56there's this. So it doesn't matter
- 1:40:58anything what it is I say. So it it
- 1:41:00makes no difference whatsoever. It just
- 1:41:02you keep you're lying and like you're
- 1:41:04not you're now changing your story about
- 1:41:06what you're now now now you were drunk.
- 1:41:09Oh I never said that I was drunk.
- 1:41:11Exactly. But you did here today.
- 1:41:14That's okay. You said earlier
- 1:41:16everything's everything recovered. I
- 1:41:17blamed you blamed it on the alcohol. You
- 1:41:18blamed it on the alcohol. Alcohol does a
- 1:41:20lot to people. Yes. But I never said I
- 1:41:22was drunk. Okay. You did. So you did
- 1:41:24this. You did this sober. You knowingly
- 1:41:27left him down there sober. Uh I have
- 1:41:30already told both of you also that we
- 1:41:32were both drinking, right? Okay. But you
- 1:41:34won't admit that you were drunk. Is that
- 1:41:36I'm telling you all both. This has
- 1:41:39changed my life. I will take this.
- 1:41:45I don't know. Yeah, that's a true
- 1:41:48statement. Absolutely.
- 1:41:52But you're trying to dance around the
- 1:41:53fact that you But what are you? Okay,
- 1:41:56just just
- 1:41:58you left them in there. You're trying to
- 1:41:59dance around the fact you left him in
- 1:42:01there. This is not You didn't leave him
- 1:42:03in there. It's not It's not cool. Like
- 1:42:04this is not cool. That is He's dead.
- 1:42:07It's not But you think that I did that
- 1:42:09intentionally.
- 1:42:11You think that I did that intentionally.
- 1:42:14You intentionally left him in there and
- 1:42:15left the room. You went upstairs to a
- 1:42:16different room. You intentionally did
- 1:42:19that. You You did? Yes, because I'm
- 1:42:21thinking he's going to get out. Okay.
- 1:42:23And he didn't. Obviously not. When
- 1:42:26somebody's begging for their begging,
- 1:42:28he's saying I But when you say that
- 1:42:29though, but you have to please let me
- 1:42:31out. I can't. Y'all don't know George
- 1:42:33though like that
- 1:42:36again. I thought it was the boy crying.
- 1:42:38Well, so it was just like what? So if
- 1:42:40your son was in there and said, "I can't
- 1:42:42breathe." Are you going to open it or is
- 1:42:44is he nine? So he's not, you know, it's
- 1:42:46not a big deal. Question.
- 1:42:50Well, you said you would never put your
- 1:42:51son in a suitcase. You would only put
- 1:42:53George in there. No, George got in a
- 1:42:56suitcase and you zipped it up. Not all
- 1:43:00the way and not intentionally to leave
- 1:43:02him there.
- 1:43:04But that's what happened.
- 1:43:08You keep going away from I don't know
- 1:43:09what you That's exactly what happened.
- 1:43:12You woke up. Are you all trying to have
- 1:43:14me admit that? Like, are you trying to
- 1:43:17have me admit that? because I will never
- 1:43:18admit it because it's not true.
- 1:43:21It's not true.
- 1:43:23I'm basically staying as a fact cuz
- 1:43:25that's what happened.
- 1:43:28Okay. You videotaped him asking to be
- 1:43:30let out. You go upstairs. So what, guys?
- 1:43:34So what? Like just I don't know what you
- 1:43:37want me to say other than it was not out
- 1:43:41of maliciousness or intentional.
- 1:43:46I don't know what or how I can say it. I
- 1:43:49love George.
- 1:43:51Love him to this day. Still love him.
- 1:43:58Love makes you do a crazy thing. It
- 1:43:59doesn't do It's not one of those things
- 1:44:01where it's like, "Oh gosh, you know
- 1:44:03what? I've done enough for you at this
- 1:44:04point. I never gave up on him." Okay.
- 1:44:07Why I'm here today, I'm still not giving
- 1:44:10up on him.
- 1:44:12I would do anything for him. Well, you
- 1:44:15gave up checking up on him, so let him
- 1:44:18out of his suitcase. Oh gosh. Okay.
- 1:44:25We're simply just trying to go through.
- 1:44:27I mean, again, you gave us a completely
- 1:44:29different story that you churched up to.
- 1:44:32This was such a a laughing matter. It
- 1:44:34was. It was fun. Not by that. All day.
- 1:44:37All day. that video that
- 1:44:40anybody looking at it does I don't think
- 1:44:42anybody will look at that video and go
- 1:44:43George is having fun right now. So why
- 1:44:46is it you all think that I I
- 1:44:50y'all don't know me. You don't know me.
- 1:44:52Nope.
- 1:44:54Would do something like that? Especially
- 1:44:55having a 9-year-old son.
- 1:44:58I don't know what nine-year-old son
- 1:45:00would be.
- 1:45:01Why are you so Why are you so like
- 1:45:03caught on what we think when you should
- 1:45:07be more concerned about what you've told
- 1:45:08us? It's because like you guys are like
- 1:45:10trying the things that the video shows
- 1:45:13that are opposite of what you told us
- 1:45:14and then what you've now like what is
- 1:45:16opposite?
- 1:45:18Well, you said that it was funny and
- 1:45:20you're the only one lying. Wait, we're
- 1:45:21playing before that. Okay. Um but then
- 1:45:24it stops. Yeah, it obviously stops being
- 1:45:27fun. Well, I cuz you're screaming at
- 1:45:29him. He's not going to get screaming at
- 1:45:31him.
- 1:45:32Sounds like screaming at me. I I don't
- 1:45:36know what you all want to me to tell
- 1:45:38you.
- 1:45:40In no way, shape, or form was this
- 1:45:42intentional
- 1:45:44at all.
- 1:45:46Ever.
- 1:45:48Okay. Are you still going to allow us to
- 1:45:50do your fingernails? Go for it. Go for
- 1:45:52it. Okay. Cool. All right. I'm going to
- 1:45:54get that set up.
- 1:46:00Do you need any more water? No, but when
- 1:46:02you come back and I ask about this.
- 1:46:05Yeah.
- 1:46:09So what? Just don't understand.
- 1:46:13So it was I don't understand how your
- 1:46:15story changes so much to the fact how is
- 1:46:17it changing? Please help me explain
- 1:46:20understand. You went on about how this
- 1:46:23was such a playful thing and you guys
- 1:46:25were laughing and it probably was for a
- 1:46:26few minutes, but then it obviously
- 1:46:28changes. The whole demeanor of this
- 1:46:30whole situation completely changes. It's
- 1:46:33not the funny laughing matter. He's not
- 1:46:35laughing at all. I didn't think he was
- 1:46:38being serious.
- 1:46:40You absolutely sound serious when you're
- 1:46:42answering. I think so. Like just you
- 1:46:45don't think your voice you sounded
- 1:46:46serious? It's okay. I I don't know what
- 1:46:51you want me to tell you.
- 1:46:53It was a great day. Okay. It didn't end
- 1:46:56well. Obviously, I was going to say
- 1:46:58that's uh I mean
- 1:47:01I can't explain to you I can't explain
- 1:47:03to you how horrific it was. Okay. To
- 1:47:07find him. Horrific. Because I don't
- 1:47:10remember taking those videos. Okay. How
- 1:47:12horrific.
- 1:47:14I'm thinking he's in the bathroom. I'm
- 1:47:16thinking he's downstairs in the laptop.
- 1:47:19I can't find him.
- 1:47:24So, what So, what's gonna happen? Like,
- 1:47:27here's what gets me, though, is you
- 1:47:29don't remember taking videos. You don't
- 1:47:31know where he is. You don't remember him
- 1:47:33being in the in the suitcase, and you're
- 1:47:35still telling me that you had your wits
- 1:47:38about you. How does that wits about him
- 1:47:41when See, that's the thing, too. But you
- 1:47:44can clearly tell. You can clearly tell
- 1:47:46that I had been drinking some. You can
- 1:47:49clearly tell. I had several people that
- 1:47:52came up to me in that apartment complex
- 1:47:54said that you were drunk on a daily
- 1:47:55basis and
- 1:47:57right regularly. Right. Um really right.
- 1:48:02Talk to the property manager. Talk to
- 1:48:03the property manager. Okay. Because it's
- 1:48:06not these are your neighbors. The one
- 1:48:07that live next to you. Your property
- 1:48:08manager does not live next to you. They
- 1:48:11see you every day. How many you had two
- 1:48:14neighbors you went to and asked to go
- 1:48:15use
- 1:48:16once? You had two different neighbors
- 1:48:18that lived directly next to you. You
- 1:48:20asked to use a restroom and they told
- 1:48:21you no and turned you away. You had to
- 1:48:22go across the way to somebody else. No.
- 1:48:25Okay. Kim and Eli. Eli or Kim is not a
- 1:48:29nice person. She's just automatically
- 1:48:30not nice. Even after me and Lucas went
- 1:48:32over there and introduced ourselves.
- 1:48:33She's just not a nice person. Then why
- 1:48:35would you think she would let you use a
- 1:48:36restroom? Because Eli was in there. Eli
- 1:48:40comes over and talks to us sometimes,
- 1:48:41which I think pisses Kim off because he
- 1:48:44comes over and talks to us. The two of
- 1:48:46them, they're like super standoffish all
- 1:48:48the time. My neighbors down the street
- 1:48:51down the way, their toilet was broken.
- 1:48:53They had stuff in the bathroom. So then
- 1:48:56they're like, "Go over there and try
- 1:48:57over there." There's two bathrooms. I
- 1:48:59wouldn't let somebody go upstairs and
- 1:49:01use my my personal bathroom. That's what
- 1:49:04the downstairs one is for. If it's
- 1:49:06somebody you like, would you or somebody
- 1:49:07you knew? They're in the process of
- 1:49:09doing all this stuff in the kitchen and
- 1:49:12they're stuck in the bathroom and the
- 1:49:13toy doesn't work. Just walk across the
- 1:49:15way. No problem. And of course, they let
- 1:49:18me in.
- 1:49:20Them and them, they're together.
- 1:49:22They're part they're families.
- 1:49:26And nonetheless, if you really want to
- 1:49:27know, and I hope it doesn't get them in
- 1:49:28trouble, but he is over here legally, so
- 1:49:31he's trying to work on getting his green
- 1:49:33card. What does that got to do with you
- 1:49:35using the restroom? They didn't want to
- 1:49:36be involved. Show us your use. No, no,
- 1:49:39no. I was asking last night cuz you
- 1:49:41know, I mean, we had several different
- 1:49:42people in the neighborhood come up. Eli
- 1:49:45and Kim drunk on a regular basis. Eli
- 1:49:47and Kim. Eli and Kim. Okay. Did you ask
- 1:49:50any next door? Those are the ones next
- 1:49:52door that she asked to use the restroom
- 1:49:53and they said no. No, she said no. Okay.
- 1:49:57And like I said, she's not a nice
- 1:49:59person. They're coming. What are your
- 1:50:00questions? Yep. She can help you out.
- 1:50:02Who's coming to do the fingernail? No,
- 1:50:05you said that we fit.
- 1:50:09And you don't have to allow us to do it,
- 1:50:11just so you know. So, don't think that
- 1:50:13it's I don't have a problem. Okay. Just
- 1:50:15make sure.
- 1:50:18So, am I getting my phone back? No, not
- 1:50:21today. Um, what about Lup's laptop? No,
- 1:50:26not today. Not today. What does that
- 1:50:29mean? We're still going through
- 1:50:31everything. Oh, that's fine. You're the
- 1:50:33one just telling us there's videos that
- 1:50:34we need to see on it. So, we need to do
- 1:50:36our due diligence that we go through
- 1:50:37everything. See, and that backfires on
- 1:50:39me now, too, because now you all think
- 1:50:41that I had even more in quotes intent to
- 1:50:44do what I did to him, which was not
- 1:50:46intentional. Okay. What's that? And
- 1:50:48that's correct. She's asking about your
- 1:50:51tag in your hand. No, but I'm asking if
- 1:50:53that's correct. No, I'm not going to
- 1:50:54agree anything that you're saying. I'm
- 1:50:56not that you're
- 1:50:59so his person.
- 1:51:01Mhm. Do you all inform her or do I need
- 1:51:04to call her? We don't need to. We don't
- 1:51:06have to inform her. So, if you would
- 1:51:08like to call her, you can. Are you
- 1:51:10saying cuz he's still on probation?
- 1:51:12No. But because of the nice lady that
- 1:51:15she is and all that she's done for him,
- 1:51:17I thought it I didn't know how it was.
- 1:51:19Legally, we just have to tell his
- 1:51:20parents and we don't go telling we
- 1:51:22don'tbody else. I didn't even know who
- 1:51:24his probation officer was. So, no, I
- 1:51:26wouldn't go to town. So, the same thing
- 1:51:27for classes.
- 1:51:29I need to do that, too.
- 1:51:31Um, classes.
- 1:51:34What? Substance abuse class and his
- 1:51:37batter intervention.
- 1:51:40You know, something else I just wanted
- 1:51:41to ask. So,
- 1:51:45other than this,
- 1:51:47so initially, what was the cause of
- 1:51:50death? she is still pending because she
- 1:51:53wants to hold the body for an additional
- 1:51:56day to see if more of those bruises turn
- 1:51:59into something bigger. Um, and she's
- 1:52:04doing some other tests that she's got to
- 1:52:06do. So, she's pending it for now.
- 1:52:09So, and that couldn't have been of him
- 1:52:11being in the suitcase
- 1:52:14or saying I physically did it. That's
- 1:52:16what she's determining.
- 1:52:19So, the the ones on the head, I I asked
- 1:52:21her, could that have been from the
- 1:52:22suitcase? And she said she didn't think
- 1:52:25so. I didn't touch him, nor did he touch
- 1:52:29me. Okay.
- 1:52:32I'm leaving it at that.
- 1:52:36Um,
- 1:52:39so I don't know if you all know how to
- 1:52:41do this because I So, that's what I was
- 1:52:43going to get ready to ask you. So, are
- 1:52:45you all updating his parents today or
- 1:52:47when you get the final whatever?
- 1:52:50Why does it matter? Why? What we tell
- 1:52:53his parents? What do you mean? Because I
- 1:52:58we're going to have we're going to talk
- 1:53:00to with them. Yeah. Okay. I have to But
- 1:53:02it's going to come down to me.
- 1:53:05What do you mean? Like, so it's being
- 1:53:08put on me. Who said that? But I So, what
- 1:53:12does it tell them? We're going to give
- 1:53:14them an update just like we gave you an
- 1:53:16update on their autopsy.
- 1:53:18Okay? So, it's whatever brut
- 1:53:23we had to deliver news to them last
- 1:53:24night that their son was dead. There's
- 1:53:25not a whole lot of conversation that
- 1:53:27goes on after that.
- 1:53:29It's not a very easy thing. Was it
- 1:53:30yesterday or Sunday?
- 1:53:33Sunday. Today's Tuesday, right?
- 1:53:36Did we not meet you yesterday?
- 1:53:39We met you yesterday.
- 1:53:42Yeah. I'm just asking,
- 1:53:46right? Did we not meet yesterday?
- 1:53:50It's a valid question. Uh, really? Yes,
- 1:53:54on Monday. Okay.
- 1:54:00Got it. Perfect.
- 1:54:03So, I don't know if I asked you guys or
- 1:54:06how I find this out other than talking
- 1:54:08to his parents, which not going to
- 1:54:11happen. Yeah, probably. a terrible idea.
- 1:54:15What? How do you guys suggest me finding
- 1:54:17out about funeral?
- 1:54:21That's not even something that's been
- 1:54:24probably talked about between the
- 1:54:26family. That's not something we ask. We
- 1:54:28have no way of
- 1:54:30I didn't know. That's why I'm asking.
- 1:54:32So, it'll be up to them to make their
- 1:54:34arrangements of what they want to do.
- 1:54:35Like, she just told you this quick. just
- 1:54:37being told last night, I'll pretty much
- 1:54:40be willing to wager that they have not
- 1:54:43even considered what they're going to
- 1:54:44do. My body can't even be released. So,
- 1:54:48I've been there with parents,
- 1:54:49grandparents, aunt, and uncles. Um,
- 1:54:53so I don't know if I have the right to
- 1:54:56or not, but like I was going to call his
- 1:54:59former employees whom he really cared
- 1:55:02for and let them know.
- 1:55:05You can call whoever you want. I just
- 1:55:07don't want to do something that I'm not
- 1:55:08supposed to. Um,
- 1:55:12how do I go about getting his
- 1:55:15um wedding ring, engagement ring? It's
- 1:55:18at the medical examiner's office. It'll
- 1:55:20come to us eventually and it'll be
- 1:55:22released to the to the next with Kim.
- 1:55:24Yeah. Okay. I bought us one. Okay. That
- 1:55:28is a civil issue. It was on his finger.
- 1:55:31It goes to them. They're the ones that
- 1:55:33going to release it. We don't have any
- 1:55:34say in that. So I won't get that back.
- 1:55:42So for all of this, like how do I find
- 1:55:44out what's what, how many, like what's
- 1:55:46been found?
- 1:55:48What do you mean? Uh pillow with stain,
- 1:55:52swabs of stain from pillow suitcase.
- 1:55:55That will all be sent off to daily a
- 1:55:58daily Florida Department of Law
- 1:55:59Enforcement. They do their testing. So,
- 1:56:01and then like whatever white
- 1:56:04can with blood and necktie with blood
- 1:56:07was from the suitcase. Correct.
- 1:56:10Why would you guys Oh, you'll see it in
- 1:56:13there. The baseball bat for Lucas and
- 1:56:16the seats. And this is just his phone,
- 1:56:20my phone, and then the laptop.
- 1:56:25Yeah. When anything can be released, we
- 1:56:26will release it. But we are very early
- 1:56:28in this investigation and
- 1:56:31it's not an overnight process
- 1:56:33unfortunately. So
- 1:56:36what's next? They're going to come and
- 1:56:39swab your fingers. No, I'm talking about
- 1:56:41like in the long run like what do I need
- 1:56:44to like do I need to be doing something
- 1:56:46or like I can't tell you what to do? I
- 1:56:50mean, like, so like for
- 1:56:53like I don't understand like I don't
- 1:56:55know if you guys are just going to like
- 1:56:57because it makes it sound like to me
- 1:56:59like I'm being accused of something that
- 1:57:01was not intentional. I'm being accused
- 1:57:04of it. Mhm. And a handful of other
- 1:57:07things that I'm being accused of. Okay.
- 1:57:09So, I don't want to be at home with
- 1:57:12Lucas and you guys show up.
- 1:57:15Okay.
- 1:57:16understand.
- 1:57:18So, it's we're still investigating that.
- 1:57:21We're I don't know what you want me to
- 1:57:23tell you.
- 1:57:24So, is there going to be concrete
- 1:57:27whatever it is and then it's like, okay,
- 1:57:29this is what it is kind of thing or like
- 1:57:31cuz I've done the whole court thing.
- 1:57:34I've done the whole attorney thing. I've
- 1:57:37done whatever. So, if I'm not admitting
- 1:57:40anything about being intentional and I
- 1:57:44killed George,
- 1:57:47okay, that's not the situation, but it's
- 1:57:51trying to be penned on me.
- 1:57:54Okay, that was not my intent,
- 1:57:58but it's trying to be pinned on me. So,
- 1:58:01however, or whatever it is I need to do
- 1:58:02in order for that to be proven, then I
- 1:58:05need to do so. Which is why I'm trying
- 1:58:07to get my ducks in a row. Okay. So,
- 1:58:09that's why I'm asking what the next step
- 1:58:11is other than me getting my nails
- 1:58:12swapped.
- 1:58:15I mean, you want me to tell you
- 1:58:19how to not be accused of a crime? Is
- 1:58:22that what you're asking? Like I don't
- 1:58:23know what you I'm trying to prepare
- 1:58:25myself for whatever may need to be done
- 1:58:27so I can I guess stick up for myself.
- 1:58:31I mean I think you're doing just fine.
- 1:58:34You came. You talked. I just don't want
- 1:58:36you guys to again
- 1:58:39show up and Lucas is in the house.
- 1:58:45Well, we did tell you yesterday that we
- 1:58:47don't want to do anything around your
- 1:58:48son. Hence why you came to us. So, I
- 1:58:52don't know why you think that's going to
- 1:58:53change. That andor me not just show up
- 1:58:56back home. I'm sorry. What? That or
- 1:58:59what? Me just not show up back home.
- 1:59:03That's what Oh,
- 1:59:05he's so happy that I'm staying over at
- 1:59:07the house with Brent. Like so happy. And
- 1:59:10I'm not going back to the house to my
- 1:59:12house for however long I can stay over
- 1:59:15here because of whatever to blow over.
- 1:59:17Mhm. And again, if you don't mind me
- 1:59:20asking, so for
- 1:59:23whatever it is you all are
- 1:59:26claiming from the videos, which Yeah.
- 1:59:28It's
- 1:59:32Is that what you're going to tell him?
- 1:59:34Like his parents? It's like, "Oh, yeah,
- 1:59:35and by the way, she did."
- 1:59:39Did what? I mean, what would you tell
- 1:59:41him? I don't think it really matters
- 1:59:43what we're going to tell the parents.
- 1:59:44Oh, yeah. It is a steel for the fire.
- 1:59:48Well, we can't hide things. And I don't
- 1:59:52know. I'm not saying we're going to go
- 1:59:56I'm not saying that we're going to go
- 1:59:58and tell them every single thing we
- 1:59:59have. Um but again, this is the Orange
- 2:00:05County Sheriff's Office has public
- 2:00:06record. So eventually, like this all
- 2:00:08will come out. Mhm. So
- 2:00:11it like I'm not you're making it sound
- 2:00:13like we're going to tell them something.
- 2:00:15So then your life is in danger and I
- 2:00:18don't like that accusation. No. So let's
- 2:00:21just nip that in the butt right now.
- 2:00:23Well, that's what's going to happen.
- 2:00:27I cannot
- 2:00:29but we can't even But so technically
- 2:00:32there's no concrete
- 2:00:34report yet even. Right. So, so it's uh
- 2:00:38you want me to like tell you exactly
- 2:00:40what I'm going to tell them. I don't
- 2:00:41know what I'm going to tell them. I
- 2:00:42don't know what I'm going to tell them.
- 2:00:42Let's just leave it at that. Just like
- 2:00:44you don't know why you went upstairs. I
- 2:00:45don't know what I'm going to tell them.
- 2:00:47So, parents that are dealing with Can I
- 2:00:50call you the way that I did last time?
- 2:00:53Yeah, my phone is an open line.
- 2:00:59should be here. I don't want you taking
- 2:01:01off.
- 2:01:04I get it. Look, I get it.
- 2:01:10That looks really bad.
- 2:01:15So, that's what scares me. Like, what do
- 2:01:18I need to plan on? Like, what do I need
- 2:01:20to plan on?
- 2:01:22I promise you
- 2:01:24on my son's life
- 2:01:26it was not intentional.
- 2:01:29I promise you
- 2:01:31on Lucas's life it was not intentional.
- 2:01:35I don't know you. I can't say I know
- 2:01:37anything about you. I don't know what is
- 2:01:41what would be a true statement or
- 2:01:42whatnot. I mean you're promising on your
- 2:01:44son's life. That's fine. That's how much
- 2:01:46it means.
- 2:01:48Sorry. That's how much it Look, that's
- 2:01:51how much it means. Okay.
- 2:01:55I hope you take that to heart, please.
- 2:02:02It's documented that you said that.
- 2:02:04Yeah, I get it.
- 2:02:11Do you have any idea when I can get my
- 2:02:13phone back?
- 2:02:15No.
- 2:02:17What did you say? I just said no telling
- 2:02:19I mean it's our digital forensics unit
- 2:02:21is um got a lot of cases on his plate. I
- 2:02:25mean well and that's not technically my
- 2:02:28laptop. It's Lucas's laptop but he plays
- 2:02:30you'll see all the games that he has on
- 2:02:32there.
- 2:02:34As soon as we can get that back to Lucas
- 2:02:36we will. As soon as we can release your
- 2:02:37phone we will. But there's we have no
- 2:02:40way of being able to tell you because we
- 2:02:42don't have control over their case load
- 2:02:44and how they they arrange what they do.
- 2:02:46So I don't know. And at this point, I
- 2:02:48think honestly with everything else else
- 2:02:50that's going on, that should probably be
- 2:02:51be at the bottom of your list of
- 2:02:53worries.
- 2:02:56I'm trying to make Lucas happy so he can
- 2:02:57have his laptop back.
- 2:02:59Okay.
- 2:03:02Does Brian not have a laptop for him? He
- 2:03:06has his laptop that he has to do for
- 2:03:08work, but he doesn't want him using it
- 2:03:10or breaking or dropping.
- 2:03:18It's not a big deal. There's nothing on
- 2:03:20the laptop anyway.
- 2:03:37So, you will keep me posted like
- 2:03:38updated.
- 2:03:45That's my thing is I'm trying to figure
- 2:03:46out what I need to do in the meantime.
- 2:03:51I don't know. I can't like I don't know
- 2:03:53what to tell you though. Like what am I
- 2:03:56what?
- 2:03:57But you all have more information than I
- 2:03:59do where it's like yeah, you might want
- 2:04:01to or yeah, you might want to. I'm
- 2:04:03sorry. Like we have more information on
- 2:04:06what? Like we told you everything that
- 2:04:08we have. You know everything that we
- 2:04:10know.
- 2:04:12And most of it we got from you.
- 2:04:15But that
- 2:04:18like I was telling her like
- 2:04:22Yeah, that's bad. Like which I swore in
- 2:04:27my son's life was not intentional.
- 2:04:30So that's why I'm trying to figure out
- 2:04:33what I need to do for myself. Okay.
- 2:04:37Going forward with this. nonetheless
- 2:04:40with his family
- 2:04:43and are you all just showing up with
- 2:04:45Lucas Miles?
- 2:04:47I think we've already both told you that
- 2:04:49we would be mindful of any situations.
- 2:05:07So, do you guys I guess you're going to
- 2:05:09call me tomorrow or do we need to come
- 2:05:11back down here? I'll chat with you next
- 2:05:14time.
- 2:05:17I have no idea when I'm going to call
- 2:05:18you next.
- 2:05:20Uh, isn't the report come out tomorrow?
- 2:05:23No.
- 2:05:25A report? I'm just saying a report is
- 2:05:27generated through us and the sheriff's
- 2:05:29office is a public entity. So, if
- 2:05:31someone were to come request something,
- 2:05:33then No, I'm talking about um his
- 2:05:35autopsy. She's waiting and doing more
- 2:05:38followup, but she's looking at him
- 2:05:40again. Yeah. But she won't be finished
- 2:05:43with him because she's she's pending for
- 2:05:44other stuff.
- 2:05:51So, after this, what?
- 2:05:55I'm done for now.
- 2:06:11How long does this stuff take to get
- 2:06:13back?
- 2:06:16You won't get back. The swabs and stuff
- 2:06:19will will stay.
- 2:06:22They all know about it.
- 2:06:30Sorry, our dispatch center keeps calling
- 2:06:33my phone. I keep having to have other
- 2:06:35people call them to see what they need.
- 2:06:45I hope you all can really both truly
- 2:06:47understand that that was not my intent.
- 2:06:51I miss him a lot.
- 2:06:55I mean no
- 2:06:58but my question has remained the same.
- 2:07:02What do you expect to happen to somebody
- 2:07:05when you leave them in a position like
- 2:07:07that?
- 2:07:10Yes. But you have to understand too. I
- 2:07:12just What would you expect to happen to
- 2:07:16somebody when you leave them in a
- 2:07:18position? I have no idea because I've
- 2:07:19never done it before.
- 2:07:22Why haven't you ever done it before?
- 2:07:24Why would I? Exactly.
- 2:07:28Why did I do it before? Why did you do
- 2:07:30it now?
- 2:07:33I I
- 2:07:36clearly have said why. Why?
- 2:07:40No, you don't know why. You You just
- 2:07:42know that it's not intentional, but you
- 2:07:44don't know why. But that's okay.
- 2:07:49Really, I'm not trying to force you to
- 2:07:50say something that you don't know.
- 2:07:57It's fading and penning.
- 2:08:31fact that you guys would assume that I'm
- 2:08:32that kind of person.
- 2:08:35We're not assuming anything. We're going
- 2:08:37by the facts. It happened.
- 2:08:41Like you said, you don't know me.
- 2:09:14What time is it, babe?
- 2:09:174:46.
- 2:09:47In itself, for me to have to live with
- 2:09:52getting him out and doing what I did is
- 2:09:57punishment enough.
- 2:10:04I think that's why I haven't slept cuz
- 2:10:07that's all I see.
- 2:10:11So that right there says something.
- 2:10:26Not my intention.
- 2:10:33texture.
- 2:10:37That would be very random.
- 2:10:40[Music]
- 2:11:04Nonetheless, I have to live without him
- 2:11:06now.
- 2:11:08Nonetheless,
- 2:11:11punishment in itself.
- 2:11:20Definitely a a tragic situation.
- 2:11:26I am through with alcohol
- 2:11:31and it's unfortunate that
- 2:11:35stupid things like this happen.
- 2:11:39Absolutely.
- 2:11:48Nonetheless, I have to live without him
- 2:11:49now.
- 2:12:00His daughters, too.
- 2:12:05Are you trying to make it worse?
- 2:12:08Sorry, what? Are you trying to make it
- 2:12:11worse? Make what worse? How I feel?
- 2:12:19CSI that was there yesterday. I think
- 2:12:22she took your photos.
- 2:12:27[Applause]
- 2:12:37[Applause]
- 2:12:45[Applause]
- 2:12:58[Applause]
- 2:13:11All right.
- 2:13:14So, I'm just going to take your swab and
- 2:13:15go around on one hand and then do the
- 2:13:17separate one for your other hand. Okay.
- 2:13:35Bricky
- 2:15:50[Applause]
- 2:16:49Whatever.
- 2:18:56[Applause]
- 2:19:05[Applause]
- 2:19:11We want to talk a little about
- 2:19:13here.
- 2:19:19Okay, I'm done with all these.
- 2:19:25Okay, Sarah.
- 2:19:27So,
- 2:19:29you're not free to go. Okay.
- 2:19:34Um, do you promise everything you told
- 2:19:35us was the truth or no?
- 2:19:40Everything we've talked about today?
- 2:19:43Yes. What do you mean? I he has to
- 2:19:46swear. Remember how I swore you
- 2:19:48yesterday on the on the audio recording?
- 2:19:50I just forgot. So he raised his hand to
- 2:19:52remind me to tell you. Okay. Do you
- 2:19:54promise and swear that everything we
- 2:19:56talked about today has been true and
- 2:19:57accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- 2:19:59For which true accurate to the best of
- 2:20:01your knowledge? What? That it wasn't
- 2:20:04intentional. Everything you've said
- 2:20:05today, everything that's come out of
- 2:20:07your mouth has been true and accurate to
- 2:20:09the best of your knowledge.
- 2:20:12To the best of my knowledge. Correct.
- 2:20:14Yes. Why? Because anytime we talk to
- 2:20:18somebody, we want to assure that
- 2:20:21everything that we've talked about is
- 2:20:24true and accurate to the best of that
- 2:20:25person's knowledge. It's not a trick
- 2:20:27question. To the best of my knowledge.
- 2:20:29To the best of your knowledge.
- 2:20:30Everything that you've told us today is
- 2:20:32true and accurate to the best of your
- 2:20:33knowledge. Yes. But it was not
- 2:20:35intentional.
- 2:20:37Okay.
- 2:20:40Okay. All right. Do me a favor. Stand
- 2:20:42up.
- 2:20:44I need you to turn around, face the
- 2:20:45wall, put your hands behind your back.
- 2:20:46Do you have anything in your pockets
- 2:20:48that I should know about? No. Okay.
- 2:20:53Why is this happening? Because George is
- 2:20:56dead.
- 2:20:59Not intentionally. We understand that.
- 2:21:01He's still dead. Well, we don't. Someone
- 2:21:03needs to call Ryan, please. Okay. Or can
- 2:21:06I not make a phone call? You'll be able
- 2:21:08to make a phone call when we get you
- 2:21:10down to the jail. So, so this was a
- 2:21:14trick. No, it's not a trick. How's this
- 2:21:15a trick?
- 2:21:17You came in here to ask you to explain a
- 2:21:20few things to ush and you were read your
- 2:21:22rights.
- 2:21:24Your response to everything was
- 2:21:28basically I didn't do it intentionally.
- 2:21:32I should do that. Doesn't matter. He's
- 2:21:33still there.
- 2:21:36Do me a favor. Have a seat.
- 2:21:44Really, guys?
- 2:21:47Really? So, if I didn't show up,
- 2:21:53why is it happening?
- 2:21:56Because before you all said I could
- 2:21:58leave that I was done after this. After
- 2:22:01that, we were done. Yes, we were done.
- 2:22:04Absolutely. So now, so that's what it
- 2:22:06is. We are done,
- 2:22:09right?
- 2:22:13Not intentional. Okay. So, what am I
- 2:22:16supposed to do now?
- 2:22:20You Someone needs to call Brian. Okay.
- 2:22:23Lucas is waiting for mom to come home.
- 2:22:26This was not my intention. I thought I
- 2:22:28was waiting for you all to come and
- 2:22:30figure out what's what and how many.
- 2:22:32That's what we're trying to do. And I
- 2:22:33was going to be able to go home and see
- 2:22:36Lucas.
- 2:22:38Now he's just not gonna have me come
- 2:22:40home. So there's nothing that I can do.
- 2:22:44All right. No,
- 2:22:46there's nothing that I can do in order
- 2:22:48to go home and see Lucas and prepare.
- 2:22:50Not right now. No.
- 2:22:52You'll be afforded a time in court.
- 2:22:54You'll be afforded an attorney. You'll
- 2:22:57be afforded a chance to talk to a judge
- 2:23:00and all that stuff will be worked out.
- 2:23:02But what's the time frame for that
- 2:23:03though? I I have no way of being able to
- 2:23:06tell you. You should make first
- 2:23:07appearance probably by tomorrow morning
- 2:23:09if not tonight depending how things are
- 2:23:11busy. How quickly you get down there.
- 2:23:15I don't this is going to happen. And I
- 2:23:18need water like really bad please.
- 2:23:26You trick me down here.
- 2:23:29Absolutely did not.
- 2:23:39I just got those.
- 2:23:41Okay,
- 2:23:43they are not allowed in the jail.
- 2:23:46So, I can't even smoke cigarettes. I go
- 2:23:57and what am I supposed to do with my
- 2:23:58car?
- 2:24:00you find where it is. When you get down
- 2:24:02there, you'll have free phones. You'll
- 2:24:04be able to call. What? As soon as
- 2:24:06possible. Yeah. Once you get down in
- 2:24:08there, get booked in. You'll be able to
- 2:24:10uh use a phone in the in the way. And
- 2:24:12how long will that take? Cuz I need to
- 2:24:13talk to Brian. Yeah. No, it depends how
- 2:24:16busy, how quickly they get you through.
- 2:24:18Probably would say within the hour.
- 2:24:21It's a free phone call in in the lobby.
- 2:24:23It's a free. All I'm doing is bring you
- 2:24:24there, sign the paper, and you don't.
- 2:24:26She has no clue. So, can I ask you or
- 2:24:29whoever it is?
- 2:24:31Um, those holding cells, the holding
- 2:24:35cells, am I going to be put in one of
- 2:24:37those? I don't know. Last time I had a
- 2:24:38panic attack. Okay. Let them know that.
- 2:24:40I don't know. Well, you you're familiar
- 2:24:42with the big bay. As long as you go in
- 2:24:44and you act civil to them, they'll set
- 2:24:46you in the big bay. You'll be left
- 2:24:48there. Can you request that while I'm
- 2:24:50in? No, that's not up to us. We don't
- 2:24:52work at the jail. As long as as long as
- 2:24:53like he's saying is if you don't act
- 2:24:54like you go in and act like this, you'll
- 2:24:56go in and they'll put you in the big
- 2:24:58bay. If you go in there screaming and
- 2:24:59kicking and yelling and cursing at
- 2:25:00people, I don't know. I'm just letting
- 2:25:03you know that's what happens. That's how
- 2:25:04they they weed people out. If you go in
- 2:25:07acting like this, I ask for the big
- 2:25:09bang. They'll put you there as long as
- 2:25:11you're acting like this. I Yeah, cuz the
- 2:25:12last time I had a major panic attack,
- 2:25:18I have not. So, what am I going to do
- 2:25:20with my purse? Oh, fine. Your purse is
- 2:25:22going to come, but the cigarettes and
- 2:25:24stuff can't. So,
- 2:25:27I put I put the lock up, too. My bad.
- 2:25:30Oh, no. It's all good. Mine are no
- 2:25:31opposite. So,
- 2:25:35what made you all decide to do this?
- 2:25:38Made us decide to do this. Uhhuh. George
- 2:25:40is dead.
- 2:25:42You guys I knew this was going to
- 2:25:44happen. You did? Okay. So, I came down
- 2:25:47here willingly. Yes. Absolutely.
- 2:25:52We were trying to figure out what's
- 2:25:53going on. We're still trying to figure
- 2:25:54out unintentionally.
- 2:25:57Intentionally or not, George is dead.
- 2:26:10I I don't know if it's able to be or
- 2:26:12not. I apologize.
- 2:26:15I have things in my car that I need to
- 2:26:18Okay, put your
- 2:26:21What kind of stuff do you have in your
- 2:26:22car that you're worried about? Well, I
- 2:26:24have my medication. Okay. They have a
- 2:26:27pharmacy there. So, if there's something
- 2:26:30that you have to have right away, you'll
- 2:26:32be seeing a nurse. A panic attack stuff.
- 2:26:34Well, again, when you get checked in,
- 2:26:36you're going to be seeing a nurse. Turn
- 2:26:38around. and that they have a pharmacy
- 2:26:40there, so they'll be able to take care
- 2:26:42of any kind of that stuff. That protocol
- 2:26:44is out of my realm. I don't work down
- 2:26:47there, so I don't know. But I do know
- 2:26:48they do have a partnership and that you
- 2:26:50will be afforded to see somebody.
- 2:26:53Okay.
- 2:26:59My bad. No.
