- 0:00- Hi friends, how are you today?
- 0:02My name is Bailey Sarian and today's Monday,
- 0:04which means it's Murder, Mystery & Makeup Monday.
- 0:08If you're new here, hi,
- 0:09my name is Bailey Sarian and on Mondays
- 0:11I like to sit down and talk about a true crime story
- 0:14that's been heavy on my
- 0:18noggin, and I do my makeup at the same time,
- 0:22just kinda like gives me something to do
- 0:24so I'm not being weird just staring at the camera.
- 0:26It's really nothing more than that.
- 0:28Keeping my hands busy.
- 0:29If you're into true crime and you like makeup,
- 0:31I would say subscribe, because I'm here for you on Mondays.
- 0:35I don't even know where to start with today's story
- 0:37because I have been following this one since the beginning,
- 0:39and I watched the trial and everything,
- 0:41and I was just watching
- 0:42in complete confusion, disbelief, and wonder,
- 0:45because what, I was like, is this real?
- 0:47Is this like a skit?
- 0:48It wasn't a skit,
- 0:49it was real life and I need to talk about it.
- 0:51So that's what today's story's about. (laughing)
- 0:54Have no words. I have no words.
- 0:56Oh, I have no words because this,
- 0:59today's story's really brutal.
- 1:01It's really gruesome.
- 1:02So just a little, just a little disclaimer.
- 1:04It's brute.
- 1:06Today's episode is brought to you by CASETiFY.
- 1:09If you know me or you've been watching me for a while,
- 1:12you know I've been purchasing
- 1:13CASETiFY phone cases for years.
- 1:15I freaking love their cases.
- 1:19I mean not only because they do a fantastic job
- 1:21at protecting my cellular device,
- 1:23but also because there are so many different cases
- 1:26to choose from.
- 1:27CASETiFY has the best selection
- 1:29when it comes to different prints,
- 1:31designs and the ability to personalize your own phone case.
- 1:35They also have these new impact ring phone cases,
- 1:40which have a built-in stand to keep you hands free.
- 1:43Like I use it to do my makeup while watching Netflix,
- 1:47or reapply my lipstick when I don't have a mirror.
- 1:50And my family and friends love it,
- 1:52because it keeps my camera from moving so much
- 1:54during our FaceTime calls.
- 1:56No more trying to keep my hands stable
- 1:59or having to hold my phone the whole time.
- 2:01I love this because you can do wireless
- 2:03and MagSafe charging,
- 2:05and it's the best for everyday protection.
- 2:09Like these impact and ultra impact cases
- 2:12have shock dispersing material
- 2:15which is lined inside the case.
- 2:17So like no matter how you drop it, you know you're covered.
- 2:20What's even better is the fact
- 2:22that you get this great protection,
- 2:23but also you're not stuck with an ugly ass case.
- 2:27You know, sometimes those phone cases are bulky and ugly
- 2:32and you're like, cute, oh my god, I love that. (laughing)
- 2:36But not with CASETiFY.
- 2:37Unlike other ring stand cases,
- 2:39the stand is hidden as a frame around the camera,
- 2:44so you can't even tell that it's there.
- 2:47You get that protection,
- 2:49but you're not having a sacrifice style, and that's a fact.

- 2:54head on over to casetify.com/baileysarian

- 3:11And a big thank you to you guys, my friends,
- 3:14'cause without you I wouldn't be here right now.
- 3:16Now let's get back to today's story.
- 3:18If you're curious to know what products I'm using,
- 3:21I'll list them down in the description box down below.
- 3:23I honestly don't know what I'm doing
- 3:25for my makeup right now, so good luck to me.
- 3:29I feel like I never know,
- 3:30but sometimes I come in with a plan like,
- 3:31oh, I'm gonna do blah blah blah.
- 3:33But today I am like,
- 3:35I either wanna go scary grungy,
- 3:38scary grungy meaning just like, I'm not trying to be cute,
- 3:41I'm trying to like scare a little bit,
- 3:42or I can do like pretty smoky, like a pretty smoky.
- 3:48I think I should go scary because that's my aesthetic.
- 3:51I just wanna give you the creeps.
- 3:53Okay, so today's story takes place in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
- 3:57Yeah, Green Bay.
- 3:58Now Green Bay is famous for their football team,
- 4:01the Packers, and also cheese.
- 4:06I mean there are a lot of little charming neighborhoods
- 4:09way up in the north country, but low key,
- 4:12just kind of like a lot of other places in America,
- 4:15everyone is kind of heavily into drugs.
- 4:20I mean not everyone, but you know,
- 4:21sadly there's a very serious drug underbelly up in Green Bay
- 4:26like many other places, right?
- 4:29They're fucking everywhere, and it seems like,
- 4:31like there drug of choice seems to be meth.
- 4:34So,
- 4:36that's the setting, and buckle up,
- 4:38because we're gonna ride the snake.
- 4:40We're gonna get down to some Schabusiness.
- 4:43Here we go.
- 4:43Okay, so it's 3:00 a.m. February 23rd, 2022,
- 4:48Green Bay 911 gets a phone call from a very confused man.
- 4:52Now this man's name is Steve.
- 4:54Now on the phone call, he seems kind of calm,
- 4:56a little slow since he had just woken up,
- 4:58so kind of like brain foggy,
- 5:00but he's calling 911 because his girlfriend,
- 5:02whose name is Tara, is absolutely losing it.
- 5:06She is in the back, you can hear her on the 911 call.
- 5:09She's hysterical, she's screaming, she's crying,
- 5:11she woke him up screaming, telling him to call 911.
- 5:16So Steve's on the phone kinda like she's,
- 5:19she just told me to call, you know,
- 5:21like he doesn't fully understand what's going on yet.
- 5:23So the dispatcher's on the phone asking him like,
- 5:26what's going on, right?
- 5:27What's going on? Tell me what's going on.
- 5:28And he tells them,
- 5:30my girl just woke me up and she swears that she found
- 5:33a severed head of her son
- 5:38in the basement.
- 5:39The dispatcher asked Steve to repeat himself.
- 5:41I mean, hello, it's not really common
- 5:43that a head in a bucket is found, you know?
- 5:46So the dispatcher is like, I'm sorry, come again.
- 5:48What was that?
- 5:49And the dispatcher then asked Steve
- 5:51if he's gone down to the basement to confirm
- 5:53that there is in fact a head in a bucket.
- 5:57And Steve says back to the dispatcher like,
- 5:59I don't know what the fuck's down there,
- 6:01like pardon my language,
- 6:02but I'm kind of a little freaked out here.
- 6:04Which honestly, very understandable.
- 6:06Now the dispatcher continues to ask Steve like,
- 6:11maybe is your girlfriend Tara maybe like hallucinating?
- 6:14Like we need confirmation here Steve.
- 6:16So Steve does decide to go down to the basement
- 6:19and check it out,
- 6:20but his eyesight is apparently really bad,
- 6:22and there isn't the best lighting down there,
- 6:25so he can't exactly make out
- 6:27what's down there or in the bucket, but he's definitely,
- 6:30he goes down there and he checks out and he's freaked out.
- 6:32So Steve goes back to his girlfriend, he's like,
- 6:34please can you just come downstairs and like confirm,
- 6:37because I don't know what you're seeing,
- 6:38but Tara just refuses to go downstairs.
- 6:42Fair.
- 6:43I can't blame them.
- 6:44If it is her son's head in a bucket,
- 6:47I don't think I would wanna go back there
- 6:50downstairs and look by myself alone either actually, yeah,
- 6:54that's a terrible idea.
- 6:55I don't know what I would do, I've never seen a head,
- 6:57let alone my nonexisting son's head.
- 7:00Oh, damn it Bailey.
- 7:01No, no.
- 7:04So then the dispatcher is like, okay, let me just,
- 7:06can I speak to Tara directly?
- 7:08Then they ask her,
- 7:09do you know where the rest of your son's body is?
- 7:12And she answers like, I have no idea.
- 7:14I just saw a head, can you get over here?
- 7:16So the dispatcher asked her for her son's name,
- 7:19and then that's when Tara tells 'em it's Shad Thyrion.
- 7:23And the dispatcher tells Tara
- 7:24that they're gonna send officers out to her immediately,
- 7:27they were already on their way,
- 7:28but she does check one last time about the head,
- 7:32the dispatcher, and she says like,
- 7:34are you sure it's not a fake head?
- 7:37And Tara says,
- 7:39"It's real, swear."
- 7:41So within minutes the police, they get down to Tara's house,
- 7:44she answers the door.
- 7:45Now she's really shaken up,
- 7:47so when police ask her to come in and see what's going on,
- 7:51all Tara can do is really just point
- 7:54in the direction of the basement.
- 7:55She's not really able to say anything.
- 7:58Nothing leaves her mouth.
- 8:00I mean it's her kid for Christ's sakes.
- 8:02I don't really blame her.
- 8:03It's funny how they always want you to act normal
- 8:05on these 911 calls and stuff,
- 8:06and you're like, just saw a head,
- 8:09kind of hard to act natural and normal here, ma'am.
- 8:12So one of the officers that shows up,
- 8:14his name is Officer Alex Wanish.
- 8:16He goes down and he takes a quick glance around the room
- 8:20and right away he can tell it's a crime scene, no question.
- 8:24When he looks around the room,
- 8:25he sees dried blood all over a bare mattress,
- 8:30and not far from this bare mattress covered in fucking blood
- 8:34was a black bucket
- 8:36that was on the floor and it was covered by a beach towel,
- 8:39but nobody was going to the beach, you know what I'm saying?
- 8:41So Officer Wanish, obviously head in the bucket,
- 8:45he hesitates a little bit,
- 8:46but he lifts the towel and sees,
- 8:50it's a head in a bucket.
- 8:51So then he quickly calls for backup.
- 8:5310-4, I've got a head in a bucket, over.
- 8:57Then the officer, he goes up to Tara and he's like,
- 9:00can I please get a picture of your son?
- 9:02I just wanna be able to confirm
- 9:04that it is indeed his head in the bucket.
- 9:07So she gives him the picture and he goes downstairs
- 9:10and he confirms that it is indeed Shad,
- 9:14Tara's son, Shad's head.
- 9:16He's like looking in this bucket,
- 9:18and then he also finds right underneath
- 9:20or like next to the severed head,
- 9:24there was also
- 9:26a penis in the bucket,
- 9:29with two testicles still attached.
- 9:34Huh?
- 9:35Yeah.
- 9:36Huh? Yeah.
- 9:37So the officer is looking around the room,
- 9:40you know it's a crime scene now.
- 9:41And that's where he notices that the blood
- 9:43wasn't just on the mattress.
- 9:45There were also like swishes of blood on the concrete floor.
- 9:50They looked like swirled finger paint, excuse me.
- 9:53But it really looked like somebody kind of had like a towel
- 9:57and was trying to like clean up the blood,
- 9:58but then they gave up.
- 10:00So the killer must have been like a little bit lazy.
- 10:03So the officer, he's searching around the room,
- 10:06and while he's looking around
- 10:07he finds two different blood soaked knives,
- 10:10and immediately he's thinking like, okay,
- 10:12these are probably the murder weapons.
- 10:15But they were not the only murder weapons lying around.
- 10:19Officer Wanish finds a plastic bag
- 10:21with three more bloody knives.
- 10:23Inside the plastic bag,
- 10:24one of those knives was like a bread knife.
- 10:27And then there were like other kitchen knives with it.
- 10:30So it was like either one or maybe all of these knives
- 10:33had been the murder weapon to kill Shad.
- 10:36Many more bags were found in the basement,
- 10:39and within these bags
- 10:41there were various body parts and organs
- 10:44that once belonged to Shad, inside of them.
- 10:47I mean it wasn't just Shad's head and genitals
- 10:51that were found, there was so much more.
- 10:54There was like this big blue storage container,
- 10:57and Officer Wanish finds Shad's upper torso inside of it.
- 11:03And to make matters worse,
- 11:05it's like inside of his upper torso,
- 11:09upper torso in the container,
- 11:11inside of the upper torso,
- 11:15gift within a gift.
- 11:17So as in Shad's chest, there was his foot.
- 11:22His foot was put in the, Lord be with us, Jesus.
- 11:27What? Yes.
- 11:28Shad's chest was being used as storage,
- 11:31I guess for his other parts,
- 11:33and below where his head was supposed to be,
- 11:35there were like these really stiff cuts,
- 11:37like someone was trying really, really hard
- 11:39to use one of these kitchen knives to saw off his head.
- 11:43But like it wasn't working and I don't know,
- 11:46but it was rough.
- 11:47Alongside in that blue container,
- 11:50there were also just various bodily fluids.
- 11:53It didn't say exactly what, but like it wasn't just blood.
- 11:58I think that says enough.
- 12:00So, okay, this officer, Officer W,
- 12:04I think it's Wanish,
- 12:06Officer W, he had pretty much walked into
- 12:08a very brutal, very manic crime scene.
- 12:12Shad's body had been completely dismembered.
- 12:14Certain parts were missing.
- 12:16Certain parts seemed to be in the wrong place.
- 12:18So it was like what the hell is going on, right?
- 12:22Within this murder room
- 12:23there was a glass pipe that was found,
- 12:25and like a gram of some kind of substance, it was noted,
- 12:29a light colored powdered material
- 12:32within like a bag next to it.
- 12:35And this was just sitting on the TV stand next to the bed.
- 12:40So to answer like what the hell is going on?
- 12:43It seemed to be the answer is meth, you know?
- 12:48So at this point it was confirmed Shad was murdered.
- 12:53And not only that, brutally murdered, brutally murdered.
- 12:57So the officer asked Tara, Shad's mom,
- 13:00like who was the last person to see Shad?
- 13:02Who was the who, what?
- 13:04And Tara tells him it was a friend of his,
- 13:06like a friend with benefits you could say.
- 13:09And that was 25-year-old Taylor Schabusiness.
- 13:15I'm gonna pause for that last name, Schabusiness.
- 13:19The things you could do with that last name.
- 13:22Schabusiness?
- 13:23Let's get down to Schabusiness.
- 13:25She could've been, Schabusiness, come on.
- 13:27I couldn't, I couldn't.
- 13:28I was like Schabusiness?
- 13:31Huh? Schabusiness.
- 13:32now I know what you're thinking.
- 13:33Great name, we all thought it. (giggling)
- 13:37Not her birth name. Not her birth name.
- 13:39I could go on and on for hours about the name Schabusiness,
- 13:43but I won't.
- 13:43She was born as Taylor Coronado in Evanston, Illinois,
- 13:48on November 23rd, 1997.
- 13:51She's a Sag, but we're not claiming her.
- 13:53She's been removed.
- 13:54So what's up with Taylor? Let me tell you.
- 13:56Taylor had shit life, let's just be honest.
- 13:59Shit life, thus far.
- 14:01She was raised by her parents, Marla,
- 14:04and her dad is Arturo Coronado,
- 14:07and she also had a younger brother named AJ.
- 14:09And although they weren't like a perfect family,
- 14:12which every family is not,
- 14:14they were together and they lived a somewhat
- 14:17decent middle class life, it was said.
- 14:19Taylor's dad, Arturo,
- 14:21he had been a longtime employee of a large phone company,
- 14:25I mean back in the dinosaur times
- 14:27when cell phones were like brick phones,
- 14:29and he had been working for this company forever.
- 14:31So you know, like they did well,
- 14:33they were comfortable, stable,
- 14:35and from the outside looked somewhat good.
- 14:38It was said when Taylor got into fourth grade,
- 14:41Arturo, he got transferred to Green Bay, Wisconsin,
- 14:44and that's when he decided to move the whole family
- 14:47to this new location, right?
- 14:49And put down their roots there.
- 14:50Her mother, Marla, was a severe alcoholic,
- 14:53and the kind of alcoholic that
- 14:56definitely could not make a super stable household.
- 15:01Marla was really sick.
- 15:03In May of 2009 when Taylor was 11,
- 15:06the whole family was like watching a movie together,
- 15:09everything's fine and great,
- 15:11but by morning, everyone went to bed, whatever.
- 15:14By morning, Arturo wakes up,
- 15:16he turns over to greet his wife, and in bed,
- 15:20that's when he finds her non-responsive, Marla.
- 15:25So he reached out to touch her and that's when he said
- 15:27that she was already cold.
- 15:29So Taylor's mom, Marla,
- 15:31she died of cirrhosis from alcoholism in her sleep
- 15:35at the age of only 41.
- 15:37It's so sad.
- 15:39So very young.
- 15:40Look as a parent, like Arturo is like,
- 15:43I'm just gonna try and hide what happened,
- 15:44because the kids have to go to school.
- 15:46So like in the morning the kids came into their bedroom,
- 15:49it was Taylor and AJ,
- 15:50and to say like good morning or something.
- 15:54But Arturo decided to shield them, the kids,
- 15:57from her lifeless body and send them off to school,
- 16:00like everything was normal.
- 16:01So they wouldn't see anything.
- 16:03It was said like Taylor knew deep down
- 16:04that something was wrong, but she couldn't tell what,
- 16:07and it wasn't until like later that day
- 16:09when the kids came back from school and whatnot,
- 16:12that Arturo had broken the news to them
- 16:15that their mom had died.
- 16:17Marla's death obviously took a toll on the whole family,
- 16:20and it really hit Taylor the hardest.
- 16:23I mean, how could it not?
- 16:24It was her mom, you know?
- 16:25She was so young
- 16:26and she didn't know how to process her grief.
- 16:28And then on top of that, Arturo, Taylor's dad,
- 16:32he got married pretty quickly after her mother's death.
- 16:36So it's like a lot of change to go through,
- 16:39some trauma, right,
- 16:40that she really didn't get to process.
- 16:42So with all of that, as Taylor started growing up,
- 16:45you know she started to act out, you can say,
- 16:49getting into trouble,
- 16:50having like some kind of rage attacks.
- 16:53It was different.
- 16:54It was a different girl, according to Arturo.
- 16:57It was said that Taylor, at school,
- 16:59she started to like pick fights with everybody.
- 17:02She was constantly getting in trouble
- 17:04for her behavioral issues.
- 17:06And her dad, obviously he was concerned,
- 17:09but she's a young girl, she lost her mom.
- 17:13She's just acting out.
- 17:14She's being a pre-teen slash teenager.
- 17:17Like he tried his best but he felt like
- 17:20there wasn't much he could do,
- 17:22because she was just a teenager,
- 17:24which is like, okay, fair.
- 17:25But I don't know.
- 17:26But when Taylor turned 12 years old,
- 17:30Arturo, her dad,
- 17:31he had found her trying to end her life,
- 17:35and I guess she had taken like a knife to her throat,
- 17:40and when he found her it was just in time to like stop her.
- 17:43And at that point that's when her dad was like, okay,
- 17:47she needs help, she needs real help.
- 17:49So he immediately got her seen by a doctor
- 17:53for mental health.
- 17:55He took her to a mental health professional,
- 17:57in hopes that she could get some kind of real help
- 17:59that he didn't know how to deal with.
- 18:01Unclear if Taylor received actual treatment
- 18:04or if she just saw a doctor,
- 18:05but either way she was mainly treated with drugs.
- 18:08She was getting medication for like ADHD,
- 18:11she was getting mood stabilizers,
- 18:13antipsychotics and even antidepressants as well.
- 18:16Even with all the heavy medications Taylor was on
- 18:18to help her manage her mental health,
- 18:21it wasn't getting to the root of the problem, you know?
- 18:24So it still continued on.
- 18:26Up through high school, Taylor was constantly picking fights
- 18:31and I guess just being a menace really is how it sounded.
- 18:36Up through high school,
- 18:37Taylor, she just kept picking fights.
- 18:40She kept being awful,
- 18:41but she did meet a nice young man
- 18:43and get a boyfriend named Shad.
- 18:46Yes, this is when she met Shad.
- 18:48So both of them are just up to no good, being misfits.
- 18:51And after enduring years of behavioral problems,
- 18:54her school just had enough,
- 18:56and they decided it was best to expel Taylor.
- 18:59Now at this point, Arturo, her dad,
- 19:01had no idea like what to do with her anymore, right?
- 19:03She's acting out, he's trying his best.
- 19:06So he thought the best thing to do with her
- 19:08would be to send her off to Texas
- 19:09to live with her grandparents.
- 19:11And like that's where she would end up
- 19:13finishing school, high school,
- 19:15and she could just kind of get away
- 19:18from her Green Gay issues
- 19:20or whatever was going on back at home.
- 19:22And it was a really good move because Taylor,
- 19:24she ends up graduating high school in Texas.
- 19:28She gets her diploma and then after graduation she turns 18.
- 19:33She's feeling good and proud of herself or something.
- 19:37I don't know how she's feeling.
- 19:39But it was said she thought she was doing great,
- 19:43and decided it'd be best to just go off of her medications,
- 19:46which is very dangerous because a lot of times
- 19:49the medications will make you feel better.
- 19:51You think you're doing better,
- 19:52then you stop taking the medications because you're like,
- 19:54I don't need them anymore,
- 19:55because they're working and I feel great.
- 19:58And then they go off and that's not great.
- 20:03So then in 2017,
- 20:05Taylor's now 19,
- 20:07she thinks it'd be best to move back to Green Bay.
- 20:10She's fully off her medications,
- 20:12she's feeling good and she's ready
- 20:14for her triumphant return to Green Bay.
- 20:17At this point it was so that Taylor had been self-medicating
- 20:20with like weed, typical kind of like teenage stuff,
- 20:25and also alcohol.
- 20:27But then she started to experiment a little bit
- 20:30with something that she called, the bitch.
- 20:32The bitch.
- 20:33And you're probably wondering, well what's the bitch?
- 20:35Well, the quote-unquote, the bitch,
- 20:39is actually, it's meth.
- 20:42The bitch is meth.
- 20:43Yeah, I know a jump.
- 20:44She went from weed and alcohol to meth.
- 20:46I was like, wow, usually there's an in-between,
- 20:47but okay, yeah, straight to meth.
- 20:51All right.
- 20:52It was actually quote-unquote the bitch
- 20:54who introduced Taylor to the man
- 20:56that she would go on to marry, her drug dealer,
- 21:00Warren Schabow, Schabow, Schabow, Schabow.
- 21:05Warren, Dream man,
- 21:07he's in his 20s, he's tall, he has a job.
- 21:10So Taylor's like, wow, all of the bases are covered.
- 21:13Dream man, and Taylor was smitten.
- 21:15She falls hard for Warren and the two quickly become,
- 21:20they're inseparable, you know.
- 21:23Plus a two for one for her.
- 21:24She's like, I got my drug dealer and a lover slash husband,
- 21:28all right, I'm doing good.
- 21:29So their relationship was pretty rough
- 21:31right from the beginning.
- 21:33I mean plus on top of that they're doing meth
- 21:34so it's like it's not gonna be
- 21:36the smoothest relationship, right?
- 21:38Between the two of them,
- 21:39they were always making accusations about somebody cheating.
- 21:43They're like, you're cheating.
- 21:44No you're cheating, just messy.
- 21:46Allegedly, Warren was very controlling of Taylor
- 21:50right from the start,
- 21:51and he started to isolate her from the family.
- 21:54And Taylor once said that during a meth-fueled fight,
- 21:58she had run to her neighbor's house to call 911 for help.
- 22:02But you know, despite all of this, Taylor and Warren,
- 22:05the two of them got married in 2019.
- 22:09Oh great, just what they should do is get married.
- 22:12But here's the thing,
- 22:13instead of changing her last name to Warren's last name,
- 22:16which was Schabow,
- 22:17Warren has Taylor change her last name to Schabusiness.
- 22:22I guess it was Warren's idea.
- 22:24And she was like, okay, let's do it,
- 22:27and she did, Schabusiness.
- 22:30Meth, I don't know.
- 22:31Now meth a lot of the times is kind of, you know,
- 22:33it's kind of a joke.
- 22:35Meth, right?
- 22:36Some people talk about meth users
- 22:39as being just erratic and crazy and all that stuff,
- 22:41but they're some of the most erratic drug users of all time.
- 22:44It can make people absolutely just lose their minds,
- 22:48and their teeth fall out, they pick at their skin.
- 22:51I mean it's awful from what I hear.
- 22:53I've never done meth, I don't plan on it,
- 22:55but it's actually, it's more than that.
- 22:56It's like usually heartbreaking
- 22:57and it's almost an impossible addiction to break.
- 23:01When a person's on meth,
- 23:02they can experience hallucinations, paranoia,
- 23:06they can exhibit symptoms of what looks like schizophrenia.
- 23:09I mean the list goes on.
- 23:11But what I'm getting at is that
- 23:12meth really fucks you up, okay?
- 23:15And then long term,
- 23:18meth actually changes the literal shape of your brain.
- 23:22It rewires your brain's dopamine system,
- 23:25which is like the pleasure system,
- 23:27so that the only thing that makes you feel good
- 23:31is meth and only meth.
- 23:34So it's like, it's a demon and it truly is a bitch.
- 23:39It's just not something people
- 23:41can just stop easily on their own.
- 23:43You know, like sad.
- 23:46Hopefully you don't do meth.
- 23:48In July of 2020,
- 23:50Taylor was high on meth,
- 23:52and she was running around a Green Bay neighborhood,
- 23:55just knocking on people's doors.
- 23:59She's knocking on people's doors
- 24:01and someone calls the cops, obviously, right?
- 24:02Because this chick is just acting kind of crazy.
- 24:05Officers, they find Taylor on the streets
- 24:08and that's when she tells them that quote,
- 24:10"she's on a different planet right now," end quote, sick.
- 24:15And she ends up showing the officers
- 24:17her fresh track marks on her arms from her meth use.
- 24:20So at least they knew
- 24:21what they were working with I guess, I don't know.
- 24:24But they knew what they were working with.
- 24:27So they end up managing to calm Taylor down.
- 24:29But then another police officer shows up to the scene,
- 24:32and she's getting all spooked and kind of like scared.
- 24:35So she starts screaming at the officers,
- 24:38she walks into oncoming traffic,
- 24:41she's popping off and she's just acting erratic, okay?
- 24:46So the officer,
- 24:47they tried to get her to come back to the sidewalk,
- 24:51so she's not in traffic,
- 24:53but this time she's getting really angry
- 24:55and she starts to kick them
- 24:56and then they place her under arrest.
- 24:58And they also charge her with resisting arrest
- 25:02and battery on law enforcement,
- 25:04because she was kicking and screaming the officers.
- 25:06And because it was her first felony,
- 25:09she only got three years probation,
- 25:11and a mandatory psychological evaluation.
- 25:14I know they're like, it's your first felony.
- 25:17No more than a month later, in August of 2020,
- 25:21mind you, this was like peak pandemic by the way, remember?
- 25:24Yeah, none of us remember 'cause it's been a a blur.
- 25:26But what's Miss Taylor up to?
- 25:28Well she ends up getting pulled over,
- 25:31she's driving, woo woo.
- 25:33So she's like supposed to pull over
- 25:35but instead she floors it.
- 25:38I guess she needed to handle some Schabusiness.
- 25:42(drum rim shot) (faux crowd cheering)
- 25:43Thank you. Thank you.
- 25:46I had to do one.
- 25:47Okay, so she ends up flooring it
- 25:49and I guess she ends up sending police
- 25:52on a high speed chase through Green Bay.
- 25:55She runs a bunch of lights, almost hits a bunch of people.
- 26:00She ends up pulling into her dad's apartment complex
- 26:04where she then hops outta the car,
- 26:06tries to make a run for it, like an idiot.
- 26:08She gets out the car, she's running,
- 26:09she's trying to get to her dad's apartment for some reason,
- 26:12like she thinks she's really gonna escape the police,
- 26:16but they end up snatching her, arrest her.
- 26:18She only gets three months in jail
- 26:21and two more years of probation.
- 26:25I just feel like after this maybe you,
- 26:27you'd spend longer in jail, not three months.
- 26:29But what do I know? I don't know anything.
- 26:32I just know our legal system is dumb as shit.
- 26:35But I think we can all agree
- 26:36she's off to a pretty rocky start, right?
- 26:38And at this point in Taylor's life, she's like,
- 26:40you know what, you know what I haven't done yet?
- 26:43I haven't become a mother.
- 26:45Yeah, I know what better time to become a mom than this?
- 26:48Great, this is gonna go well.
- 26:50By the time Taylor is arrested in August of 2020,
- 26:53she's pregnant.
- 26:54And according to a friend,
- 26:56at this time when she was pregnant,
- 26:57she was still doing drugs.
- 26:59So she decides to end up moving back
- 27:02to her grandparents' house in Texas
- 27:04where she could try and live a clean life
- 27:06while she's pregnant.
- 27:07Meanwhile, Warren, her husband,
- 27:10I guess he had gone to jail,
- 27:12because he got caught dealing meth.
- 27:14So without him around,
- 27:16I think that's when she decided
- 27:17to go back to her grandparents.
- 27:18Makes sense, right?
- 27:19He's a drug dealer.
- 27:20So he was doing his job and he got caught for it.
- 27:22So he was charged with possession,
- 27:25with intent to distribute, a felony.
- 27:28So he got sent off to federal prison leaving Taylor
- 27:32to be a single mom
- 27:35and, good luck girl, you know?
- 27:38But this part, like it didn't make me laugh,
- 27:41it just made me like have a lot of question marks
- 27:43around my head, because I was like,
- 27:45Taylor got two felonies and barely had to serve any time,
- 27:50but he got caught and he had to serve a lot of time.
- 27:54So all right, you know?
- 27:56All right, can't figure that one out.
- 27:58In early 2021, Taylor ends up, she's 23 at this point,
- 28:03she delivers her baby boy,
- 28:05and Taylor decides to give motherhood her best shot.
- 28:10During this time she's also trying to keep her hands busy,
- 28:13trying to keep herself busy so she doesn't go back to using.
- 28:17She starts her own little small business
- 28:19where she's selling
- 28:22custom-beaded jewelry and she's selling it on Facebook.
- 28:27She's just doing her thing.
- 28:29But for Taylor, it was still a daily struggle for her.
- 28:33Like I guess woo, shortly after her son was born,
- 28:36Taylor had two suicide attempts back to back.
- 28:40One was in April of like 2021,
- 28:42and then another in May of 2021.
- 28:45Taylor wasn't officially diagnosed with postpartum,
- 28:48but after these two suicide attempts,
- 28:51Arturo, Taylor's father, knew that Taylor just,
- 28:55something wasn't right in her mind,
- 28:57and he was really worried about her
- 28:59trying to do it again.
- 29:00So he decides like or suggests
- 29:03that she should be admitted to a hospital,
- 29:05and she goes, and they give her a new set of diagnoses,
- 29:10PTSD,
- 29:11ADHD,
- 29:12and bipolar disorder.
- 29:13So at this time Taylor's baby goes to live
- 29:17with Warren's side of the family,
- 29:20and it's probably for the best hopefully.
- 29:22But she knows that she fully
- 29:24can't take care of him right now.
- 29:26Now I know to most of us it's like okay,
- 29:28this is probably Taylor's rock bottom.
- 29:30She lost her son, her husband is in federal prison,
- 29:34her mental health is in the toilet,
- 29:37and this is probably where she'll make a comeback.
- 29:40But no, so she was in the hospital for a little bit,
- 29:43and she ends up getting released or discharged,
- 29:45and she ends up staying with her dad for a few months.
- 29:47And it seemed like he was
- 29:49really stepping up to the plate for Taylor.
- 29:51Like he was the one person who was like stable for her.
- 29:55At least she had somewhere to go, and it was family.
- 29:58But, the downside, 'cause there's always a downside, right?
- 30:01A few months later, Arturo, Taylor's dad, he was arrested.
- 30:06Oh girl, let me tell you,
- 30:07'cause this is a fucking mess, a mess.
- 30:09He was arrested for raping a 13-year-old girl.
- 30:14Not great.
- 30:14So back in 2018,
- 30:16it was like three years prior to his arrest,
- 30:18he committed an extremely serious statutory rape
- 30:22with a then 13-year-old who was a relative of his then wife.
- 30:28I don't know if they're, his wife.
- 30:30Yeah, so what the fuck is up with his family?
- 30:33Green Bay, I guess. I don't know.
- 30:35So he ended up pleading no contest,
- 30:37and he cut a deal for a second degree
- 30:39sexual assault of a child charge instead of first degree.
- 30:45Yay, I don't know.
- 30:46Anyway, he was sentenced to 12 years and sent to prison.
- 30:51I know, Jesus.
- 30:53We don't know the dynamic of this family.
- 30:55Let's just say Taylor had no idea her dad
- 30:57was like this at all.
- 30:59It would suck for her to finally have some stability
- 31:02like her dad in her life again.
- 31:04And then he gets arrested and then you find out
- 31:06your dad's arrested for statutory rape.
- 31:09That would probably cause another
- 31:13rock bottom is what I'm thinking.
- 31:15So she's like, great, now my dad's gone.
- 31:18So now, Taylor is back on her own,
- 31:20and during this time she found out that Warren,
- 31:22her husband, had cheated on her yet again.
- 31:25I guess she found out that,
- 31:27while he was in prison,
- 31:28she found out that some infidelity
- 31:30had taken place before he went.
- 31:31Or maybe he cheated on her while he was in prison.
- 31:36Not really clear, but regardless,
- 31:38in January of 2022, Taylor went to her Facebook.
- 31:43She's like, look, here's the quote.
- 31:45"I got hitched to show them my commitment,
- 31:48loyalty and dedication to them.
- 31:50That I was never gonna be how I used to be.
- 31:53Then they turn around and fuck on me.
- 31:56There's no way I'll ever go into another relationship."
- 31:59Hashtag, can't trust no one.
- 32:02Yeah, you tell 'em Taylor, you tell 'em.
- 32:06Hashtag, can't trust no one, not even yourself.
- 32:09In February of 2022, Taylor is at a new low,
- 32:13and she's wanting to get back on the bitch.
- 32:17So she rekindles a friendship
- 32:19with her old high school lover, Shad.
- 32:23Now at this time, Shad too was really into meth,
- 32:26so they had a lot in common,
- 32:28and he could also get it for her.
- 32:30And in February of 2022 they got back in touch
- 32:34through a mutual friend,
- 32:36which led to Taylor and Shad
- 32:38spending most of their time together,
- 32:40just doing drugs and having sex,
- 32:43because that's what they did on meth.
- 32:45While her husband is in jail, she's like,
- 32:48I need my own buddy.
- 32:49So on the night of February 22nd,
- 32:51Taylor and a friend are looking to party.
- 32:54So the both of them,
- 32:54they jump into Taylor's roommate's minivan,
- 32:57and they go pick up Shad, and he's at his house
- 33:00where he lives with his mom, Tara, and her boyfriend, Steve.
- 33:02So they pick him up and they're driving
- 33:04and they make a pit stop to get some drugs.
- 33:07They pick up meth, weed and Trazodone,
- 33:09crowd favorites I hear.
- 33:11And they go back to Taylor's apartment to shoot the shit,
- 33:15smoke some weed, do some drugs.
- 33:18At this point, you know, I guess,
- 33:19I don't really know, I wasn't there,
- 33:21but allegedly everyone was having a great time.
- 33:23Taylor and Shad, they want a little bit more,
- 33:26they want, they really wanna get the party started.
- 33:28So that's when they break out like the meth,
- 33:30and they start doing the higher stuff.
- 33:33But the high, I guess when it gets too intense,
- 33:36that's when they take the Trazodone to like mellow it out.
- 33:40So they're going up, they're going down, they're going up,
- 33:41they're going down, they're going down, they're going down,
- 33:44they're going up, they're just all over the place.
- 33:46Well at some point their friend I guess
- 33:48is a little party pooper,
- 33:49and decides to leave Shad and Taylor to themselves,
- 33:53decides to go home, right?
- 33:54Shad and Taylor,
- 33:55they hang out at her apartment for a few more hours.
- 33:59They're waiting for their drugs to come down,
- 34:01and at that point I guess they're out of meth.
- 34:04So they decide let's go get more.
- 34:06They're pretty much all day on just a drug binge.
- 34:09So they leave Taylor's place,
- 34:12they go pick up more meth and then this time
- 34:15they head back to Shad's house
- 34:17where he lives with his mom, and they go inside,
- 34:21and they head straight down to the basement,
- 34:22because the basement is where
- 34:23like is the hangout spot, right?
- 34:25You get a hangout spot.
- 34:27By the time they make it back to Shad's place,
- 34:30it's already late.
- 34:31Like it's early in the morning depending on who you ask.
- 34:34But all Taylor knows is that she is on a good one.
- 34:38So they're down there just doing drugs.
- 34:40She passes Shad the glass pipe loaded with the bitch,
- 34:43because he wants to be on her level.
- 34:46They settle in for no more than five minutes.
- 34:49And at this point Shad pulls out,
- 34:52and shows Taylor two silver chain link necklaces.
- 34:57I know I was thinking like Hot Topic
- 34:58like necklace type of deal, but it's not,
- 35:01it's a dog choke collar, and he's like
- 35:04suggesting that they use it
- 35:06while they're having sexual intercourse
- 35:08and she's like, yeah I'm into that.
- 35:11It was her thing, it was their thing.
- 35:13They both liked it.
- 35:14So they're both into this kink being choked, you know?
- 35:16And they had done it before consensually,
- 35:20which is always important, right?
- 35:22Consent.
- 35:23Taylor and Shad or no strangers to this,
- 35:25you know, they were like really into it, allegedly.
- 35:28But this time, Shad I guess really wanted
- 35:30to kick it up a notch,
- 35:31and use the chains and like
- 35:35I guess Taylor was just so down for it.
- 35:37She's like, what?
- 35:38Yeah, that's, yeah.
- 35:40So, just a disclaimer,
- 35:43the following of what I'm going to say
- 35:46is what Taylor said during her confession.
- 35:48So, it's very one-sided, okay?
- 35:51And when she was giving her confession, she was high.
- 35:55So a lot of it is kind of wacky and whatever.
- 35:59But this is the information we have, okay?
- 36:01So it's not me saying these things.
- 36:03This was according to Taylor.
- 36:05So Taylor said that Shad had the chains around his neck
- 36:09and he laid facedown on the bed.
- 36:11Taylor said that she gets on top of him
- 36:13as if like she's gonna ride a horse,
- 36:15and she begins to pull on the loose end of the chain.
- 36:18She said as she was pulling on the chain,
- 36:22she like watched Shad and she sees his face turn
- 36:25from red to purple, and then she notices him
- 36:29going in and out of consciousness.
- 36:32Taylor would say during her high it was cool,
- 36:35because she was like wow, I can like change his face color.
- 36:38So she keeps applying pressure on the chain
- 36:41trying to make him go
- 36:42from red to purple to blue to whatever.
- 36:46And she tells police officers during her confession
- 36:49that because she was high, she wanted to make him small.
- 36:53Like when she choked him he got smaller, I don't know.
- 36:57But according to her, again because she's high,
- 37:00she was choking him and it was appearing
- 37:03that his neck was rebuilding muscle.
- 37:07So because of this she was getting more and more frustrated
- 37:09and she was pulling harder and harder on the chain.
- 37:12She said at one point Shad,
- 37:14he like coughs up blood and she said
- 37:17that she could feel his heartbeat
- 37:21like kind of really slow down and come to a halt.
- 37:24And that somehow excited her even more,
- 37:28so she pulls even harder.
- 37:31At this point, she said she was in full ecstasy
- 37:34and she knew Shad was dead according to his face,
- 37:37because he was purple and he had blood
- 37:40coming out of his mouth.
- 37:41So she knew like something wasn't right or he was dead.
- 37:45But that didn't stop her, she keeps going,
- 37:48and the police ask her,
- 37:49why the hell did you keep going
- 37:51if you knew he was dead?
- 37:54And she said because of curiosity.
- 37:58She wanted to see what would happen.
- 38:00Yeah, I don't know girl.
- 38:01So Taylor, in her words,
- 38:03quote "accidentally fucks up," end quote,
- 38:07and realizes that she had just killed Shad.
- 38:11- You said that when you were choking him,
- 38:12he was coughing up blood.
- 38:13You kind of were like, eh I've gone this far,
- 38:15I'm just gonna keep going.
- 38:16Did you realize that by continuing that,
- 38:19that you'd kill him?
- 38:21Like yeah, because I felt bad.
- 38:23'Cause I'm like,
- 38:24damn he's gonna be wheezing after this.
- 38:26I'm like might as well just kill him.
- 38:27- But she said that she had no remorse.
- 38:29In her higher self,
- 38:32it was all about chasing this pleasure feeling,
- 38:35and she was feeling it.
- 38:37So after she's done choking him,
- 38:39she decides to quote-unquote, play with him.
- 38:43In other words, she takes her sweet time
- 38:47with Shad's lifeless body
- 38:48and his body is like turning her on.
- 38:53In her confession she said that Shad's lifeless body
- 38:56turned her on so much
- 38:58that she wanted to touch and kiss it
- 39:00and love on it all over.
- 39:04Yeah.
- 39:05This next part kept me up a little too late at night,
- 39:07because she ends up performing oral sex on his corpse.
- 39:12A visual I could have done without.
- 39:13She ends up putting different sex toys,
- 39:17she has sex toys on deck.
- 39:18I'm assuming, I couldn't figure this out,
- 39:20but I'm assuming this is probably where Shad slept
- 39:23is in this basement, and what's her name?
- 39:27Taylor, pulls out some sex toys,
- 39:29and she ends up like playing with his body,
- 39:32and the sex toys and different things to his corpse.
- 39:37She's doing it all,
- 39:40and,
- 39:43I don't know what the fuck that, I don't know.
- 39:44Yeah I was like, what?
- 39:47What girl? Yeah she did that.
- 39:49She did it for hours allegedly, according to her confession.
- 39:54She ends up playing with his corpse for far too long
- 39:57until she gets really tired or her high wears off.
- 40:01Taylor, at this point,
- 40:03when she's playing with the corpse's body,
- 40:05she had been awake for over 24 hours.
- 40:08So after she's done playing with his body, she's like,
- 40:12I'm tired, and decides to take a quick little nap.
- 40:15Yeah, I don't know you guys, like what?
- 40:17Huh? She did that.
- 40:18She got down to Schabusiness didn't she? Wow.
- 40:21So, then she takes a nap.
- 40:22So then when she wakes up she thinks it would be best
- 40:25to take Shad's body with her out of the house.
- 40:28But she knows,
- 40:29I can't just like carry his body
- 40:31out of the basement by myself and then carry him to the van.
- 40:35So this is when she has a light bulb moment
- 40:39and she decides, oh my God, duh.
- 40:41I could just cut him up into small manageable pieces,
- 40:45and then I can carry 'em.
- 40:46That's a great idea, Taylor.
- 40:48Yeah, I know. Thanks.
- 40:49And this was her plan.
- 40:50So the first thing I guess Taylor wants to do
- 40:54is she wants his head.
- 40:56According to her it was like her trophy,
- 40:58she was proud of it, but also she really liked Shad.
- 41:02She wanted his head, it was her favorite part.
- 41:05So while Shad's family is asleep, Taylor creeps upstairs,
- 41:09she goes to the kitchen,
- 41:10she grabs like a handful of knives to take with her
- 41:13downstairs to the basement.
- 41:16So Taylor pulls Shad's body to the edge of the bed.
- 41:19So his head is like hanging off of the edge of the bed,
- 41:22and she puts a bucket right underneath him,
- 41:25and she starts experimenting with a few of the knives
- 41:28that she had grabbed from the kitchen.
- 41:30She's trying to sever Shad's head,
- 41:32but none of them were working,
- 41:33so she's getting all frustrated.
- 41:34That is until she busts out the bread knife.
- 41:38Now I guess this bread knife,
- 41:40it made it very easy to cut through the skin and muscles.
- 41:44So she loved this knife.
- 41:47She's like, oh this is the shit,
- 41:48and just starts going to town.
- 41:49She goes at it and Taylor successfully
- 41:53is able to remove Shad's head.
- 41:56She had this bucket under his head, right?
- 41:58And it was catching like all of his blood.
- 42:00So she takes that bucket
- 42:02and she pours all of his fluids down in the shower.
- 42:07There was like this janky shower in the basement.
- 42:09But she pours his blood down the shower drain,
- 42:12and then she puts his head in the bucket.
- 42:15The head isn't enough though,
- 42:17she wants to take all of him home with her.
- 42:20So she continues,
- 42:21she takes that bread knife again and she cuts off
- 42:24her second favorite thing, his genitals, yeah.
- 42:28So she got the head, now she wants the genitals.
- 42:31She cuts it off and she puts his penis and testicles
- 42:34into the bucket, and then moves onto the rest of his body.
- 42:38But after this, she needs another nap.
- 42:42So she's like, I'm gonna do the rest,
- 42:43I just need a, I need a nap.
- 42:45Hold on.
- 42:46So she takes another nap.
- 42:48I guess this nap just gives her some new energy,
- 42:51because she wakes up and she fucking gets down.
- 42:54And what I mean is like, it's awful,
- 42:56because she wakes up, she has energy, I don't know.
- 42:59She manages to cut shad in half long ways.
- 43:05Yeah.
- 43:06Not all the way in half but like opens him up because it,
- 43:08she's able to get inside of his chest,
- 43:11stomach and pelvic area, and she takes all of his organs out
- 43:15and she puts them in random like plastic Walmart bags.
- 43:18Yeah.
- 43:19And she just starts going to town.
- 43:21She's taking out everything, putting them into bags.
- 43:24I don't know, no one knows what she's doing,
- 43:25she's just doing it.
- 43:26That's when she places Shad's torso
- 43:29into that big blue container.
- 43:31And then Taylor saws Shad's arms off at the elbows,
- 43:36and puts it in the storage container.
- 43:39But no matter how many times she saw the arms off,
- 43:42in her mind, because again she's high,
- 43:45she tells police that they were growing back.
- 43:47- When I said I was tripping out,
- 43:49the body was rebuilding itself.
- 43:51because I already cut off his arm,
- 43:53and his arm came back on.
- 43:54- So she's like tripping out,
- 43:55just like panicking and like going to town.
- 43:58She's tripping hard.
- 44:00Taylor keeps, just keeps at it though.
- 44:02And she cuts off Shad's left foot,
- 44:05and puts it in the empty chest.
- 44:07She said she put the foot in the chest for storage,
- 44:11because she was gonna move it all, you know?
- 44:13So she's like yeah, the chest will hold the foot.
- 44:16That was a new one for me.
- 44:17Haven't heard that.
- 44:19I was like, all right.
- 44:22I guess at this point, Taylor was just exhausted.
- 44:25She had done a lot, right?
- 44:27So she slows down a little bit
- 44:29and she starts to dabble with more delicate work.
- 44:32Like she starts to filet his back, and right thigh,
- 44:36like cutting off the skin.
- 44:38She goes, she cuts it off all the way down to the bone.
- 44:41And I was like, oh no, don't tell me she ate it.
- 44:43She didn't eat it.
- 44:45No eating, that we know of.
- 44:47She said during the interview that at some point
- 44:50she had a Jolly Rancher with her,
- 44:53and that once she cut off his head and stuff,
- 44:56and she put it all in the bucket,
- 44:57she took that Jolly Rancher and she spit it into the bucket.
- 45:00She's like, that's all I ate was a Jolly Rancher,
- 45:03and I spit it in the bucket.
- 45:04Okay girl, all right,
- 45:06everything seems fine here,
- 45:07total normal confession happening.
- 45:10I mean there's a mess and blood everywhere.
- 45:13And the bitch was just making her paranoid.
- 45:16She said she started having more intense hallucinations.
- 45:19She's hearing footsteps, she's hearing gunshots,
- 45:23the room begins to make her very uncomfortable,
- 45:26and on top of that she's like there was no door,
- 45:28and it's just scary and dark and eerie,
- 45:32and she wants to be done with all this,
- 45:33'cause she's just really fucking in her head,
- 45:35'cause she's high.
- 45:36So with all this being said, she starts cleaning.
- 45:41She's like, I have to go, we have to get outta here,
- 45:42we have to go.
- 45:43She starts cleaning like crazy, right?
- 45:45She starts off strong, clean, clean, clean.
- 45:48But then she ultimately gets lazy
- 45:49and starts to half-ass everything.
- 45:51She's like, I don't wanna clean anymore, I'm hungry.
- 45:53Where's my Jolly Rancher?
- 45:55Where'd my Jolly Rancher go?
- 45:57She ends up throwing the towel over the bucket
- 46:00with Shad's head in it and penis.
- 46:02And she said that she threw the towel over
- 46:05with the full intention of her like taking it home.
- 46:08But she's rushing at this point
- 46:10to get the hell out of there.
- 46:11So she grabs his still intact, left foot and leg,
- 46:16and forgets all about the bucket.
- 46:20She leaves it behind.
- 46:22Now this should bring us all the way back to the beginning,
- 46:25'cause we know what happened next.
- 46:26Tara, Shad's mom, finds the head in the bucket,
- 46:30and then tells police to go looking for Taylor Schabusiness.
- 46:34I guess Shad's mom said Taylor and Shad
- 46:36had been hanging out in the basement for well over 24 hours
- 46:39before she had found his head,
- 46:41that they had come home late Monday night.
- 46:44They had spent all day,
- 46:46they didn't come out of the basement Tuesday,
- 46:49and they were just doing their thing down there.
- 46:51And Shad's mom said, "they're old enough to like hang out.
- 46:54And also I didn't wanna walk in
- 46:56just randomly down in the basement
- 46:58and accidentally see them having sex or something."
- 47:00Like that was her reasoning as to why
- 47:02she didn't go down there and check.
- 47:04I could see that but you know, okay sure.
- 47:07So with this information,
- 47:08police dispatch a unit of police officers
- 47:11to Taylor's apartment to locate the minivan
- 47:15that she was driving the night of Shad's death.
- 47:19And they end up finding this minivan
- 47:21at Taylor's apartment complex.
- 47:23They get her address,
- 47:24they go right to her apartment complex, there's the van.
- 47:26The officers, they didn't even need
- 47:28to shine their flashlights into the van,
- 47:30because as they approached the vehicle,
- 47:34the van, like the lights turned on by themselves
- 47:37as if someone was either locking
- 47:39or unlocking the door with a remote.
- 47:42So they're like, okay, weird.
- 47:44So the police officers are looking inside
- 47:46the window of the the van,
- 47:47and they can see like a basket full
- 47:49of what seemed to be dirty laundry.
- 47:51And on top of the laundry was a crockpot box.
- 47:56So no crockpot, but like the box it came in.
- 47:59So the officers, they turn their attention
- 48:01to the outside of the car, and they're looking around
- 48:04and they could see that there are a few droplets of blood.
- 48:08So they look and they see that there are footprints,
- 48:11because it's snowing, mind you.
- 48:13So they see blood in the snow and they also see footprints
- 48:16leading them straight to the apartment building
- 48:19that this person walked to with some blood following them.
- 48:23It was like they didn't have to try that hard,
- 48:25it led them right to her.
- 48:27So they start heading to the building,
- 48:28but before they get there, Taylor just walks right out.
- 48:31Maybe that's why the light of the van was on,
- 48:34like maybe she was coming back to grab something
- 48:36or maybe leave, but she comes right out,
- 48:39so they stop her.
- 48:41This is all on like body cam footage too.
- 48:44And like the second Taylor sees the police officer,
- 48:47she like stops dead in her tracks.
- 48:49What's she saying?
- 48:50But she doesn't try to run or like get away.
- 48:52She just stops and just is kind of like smiling,
- 48:55'cause she's weird.
- 48:56So the police officers, they approach her,
- 48:58they see that she's wearing like,
- 48:59she's wearing all black.
- 49:00She's got on a black hoodie, black sweatpants.
- 49:03And when they look more closely they can see
- 49:05that the sweatpants were caked
- 49:07in what clearly looked like dried blood.
- 49:10Then they take a look at her hands,
- 49:11and they can see like also stained with blood.
- 49:16And on top of that,
- 49:18one thing Detective Bailey noticed was that
- 49:20she had on a full face of makeup, she even had a lash on.
- 49:25I know, I was like, what is this girl doing?
- 49:26Who puts on a lash to murder someone?
- 49:29Or did she put on the lash after the fact
- 49:31so she could get a nice mugshot?
- 49:33But she had a full beat on.
- 49:36I was like, okay girl, whatever.
- 49:37Her priorities are a little fucked up.
- 49:40So of course, placed under arrest, right?
- 49:42They search her van.
- 49:44They look inside the van, and inside that crock pot box,
- 49:48that's where they find Shad's leg and foot.
- 49:51And at this moment that's when they realize
- 49:53that they've got their killer.
- 49:55So they take Taylor to the police station
- 49:57where obviously they get
- 49:59all their photographs that they need,
- 50:00like her blood stained hands, her bloody clothes,
- 50:03the rest of her body.
- 50:04After they're done taking the pictures,
- 50:06they give her, you know that jumpsuit,
- 50:08the orange jumpsuit that they make all criminals where?
- 50:12And then they leave her alone in the interrogation room
- 50:14where they catch her on camera saying like,
- 50:18I fucking hate this outfit.
- 50:20- I hate this outfit.
- 50:23Never in my life.
- 50:25(Bailey laughing)
- 50:27- That part made me laugh because I feel like maybe
- 50:30her concerns seem a little misplaced,
- 50:33but she really fucking hates this outfit.
- 50:36My girl murdered someone,
- 50:37so I don't think the outfit is really
- 50:41what you should worry about, but I don't know.
- 50:43So she's being interrogated by a detective named Graf,
- 50:47and he's asking her all types of questions,
- 50:49where she tells him
- 50:50that Shad was her ex-boyfriend slash fuck buddy.
- 50:53They let her know that they found a lot of blood
- 50:56and Shad's head in a bucket in his mother's basement.
- 51:00to which Taylor responded,
- 51:01quote, "that is pretty fucked up."
- 51:05- Yeah.
- 51:06- When I was watching this I was like,
- 51:07what the is going on right now?
- 51:08What the fuck is going on right now?
- 51:12I could not wrap my head around her confession.
- 51:15Well the Detective Graf asked Taylor
- 51:16more questions about Shad
- 51:18and like what she did back at the house.
- 51:20It suddenly dawned on her
- 51:21that she had totally forgotten about Shad's head,
- 51:25and then all of a sudden like during questioning,
- 51:27she bursts out like, this is a quote,
- 51:29"Damn, the head, I can't believe I left the head though."
- 51:33- I know I forgot the head.
- 51:34I can't believe I left the head though.
- 51:36- I'm sure they got the right chick, you know.
- 51:38So detectives ask her the one question
- 51:40that we all wanna know, why?
- 51:42Why did you kill Shad? What happened?
- 51:44You know, why did you do it?
- 51:46And her response to them was quote,
- 51:48"Good question because I blacked out during that time.
- 51:51But I need to think."
- 51:53End quote.
- 51:55I know, I feel like killers,
- 51:56they always love a good like blackout moment in their story.
- 51:59They always black out,
- 52:01but then they seem to remember everything.
- 52:03It's so funny, isn't it?
- 52:05They love a blackout.
- 52:06Detectives ask her, okay,
- 52:08well do you think the whole body's still there?
- 52:10And then she answers to them like I don't see why not,
- 52:12unless I just like left it, which I could have.
- 52:15Then they ask Taylor how she felt when she strangled him,
- 52:18and she tells them in like a really lower creepy tone.
- 52:22"I liked it.
- 52:23It was very exciting, everything was.
- 52:26You should check my panties." End quote.
- 52:30Not kidding.
- 52:31She said that, this is not okay.
- 52:34This is not okay. I'm not kidding.
- 52:36She said that. Check my panties.
- 52:40No, girl, no.
- 52:44Girl, what are you doing?
- 52:46It gets worse.
- 52:47Like if you think this is bad,
- 52:48it just keeps getting worse and worse.
- 52:50The detectives ask her like, did Shad try to fight back?
- 52:53And she was like, yeah he did but I won.
- 52:55When they get to Shad's dismemberment,
- 52:57they ask her if it took her all day,
- 52:59and she tells them like yeah it did.
- 53:01And they question if she had taken any other drugs
- 53:04during that time.
- 53:05And then Taylor answers, no she didn't.
- 53:09But I should have.
- 53:10- I was getting pissed off
- 53:11at the dismemberment process, actually.
- 53:13- Did it take a while? It took a while.
- 53:15- Yeah, because like I was nodding out,
- 53:17- Had you taken any other drugs?
- 53:19- I should've, I should've took drugs.
- 53:21It probably would've helped.
- 53:22- They asked her how she dismembered Shad's body
- 53:25and she goes into very great detail
- 53:27and tells 'em about the knives in the kitchen,
- 53:29and that her favorite was the bread knife.
- 53:31- The bread knife works good.
- 53:33- Bread knife?
- 53:34- The bread knife works really good on him.
- 53:36- I got a snack really quick 'cause I'm hungry.
- 53:38I haven't eaten yet.
- 53:39Okay, so there.
- 53:42Dismemberment, Bailey.
- 53:43Okay, towards the end of Taylor's interrogation,
- 53:46that's when she start to like,
- 53:47she's coming down or off of her drugs maybe,
- 53:50because that's when she's starting to like apologize.
- 53:53She's telling detectives that she didn't mean
- 53:55for all this to happen,
- 53:57that she fucked up and that she was sorry.
- 54:00And it's like, yeah girl, that's what you did.
- 54:04But it's too late, she already gave her full confession.
- 54:06DNA everywhere. Girl, you're getting charged.
- 54:09You fucking killed someone, brutally,
- 54:11like what are you doing?
- 54:12You can't just say sorry and it's all okay.
- 54:14Don't be dumb.
- 54:15I think it's safe to say that meth
- 54:16really kind of ruined Taylor's brain, right?
- 54:20After her arrest,
- 54:21authorities had a really hard time deciding
- 54:23if she was mentally healthy enough to even stand trial.
- 54:27Taylor was assigned a lawyer,
- 54:28and their name was Quinn Jolly.
- 54:33Don't get me started on these names, okay?
- 54:35Quinn Jolly. (laughing)
- 54:38Quinn Jolly, weirdly enough also represented her dad
- 54:42in his sexual assault case.
- 54:44So it was like a BOGO.
- 54:45So they end up going to her court hearing
- 54:48where the judge would determine
- 54:49if they could delay Taylor's trial
- 54:51to get an expert to evaluate her,
- 54:53because they submitted a plea of not guilty
- 54:56by reason of mental disease or defect,
- 54:59which is kind of valid, right?
- 55:00But not really. It's not, let me tell you why.
- 55:02Now, I don't know if you guys saw this, but I saw this shit.
- 55:05So I was watching the court trial, I was like, what?
- 55:07I just, I could not believe the story,
- 55:09just could not believe it.
- 55:10I thought it was fake.
- 55:12And then I also thought like the whole court trial was like,
- 55:15did you guys watch,
- 55:18"Jury Duty"?
- 55:19I thought it was like that, and it wasn't.
- 55:22It was real because, okay look, they go to a hearing, right?
- 55:25Taylor ends up losing her shit at this hearing.
- 55:28So she's sitting right next to her lawyer,
- 55:31Mr. Jolly or whatever the fuck.
- 55:33And the judge is kind of like having a hard time
- 55:36approving a short delay of the trial,
- 55:40trying to determine, right?
- 55:41Then out of nowhere, Taylor,
- 55:43who was handcuffed by chains at the waist
- 55:45in her orange jumper,
- 55:48she all of a sudden outta nowhere jumps up
- 55:51and leads with her elbow
- 55:55to punch her lawyer.
- 55:57She gets up, she tries to punch, tries to smack.
- 56:00She full on attacks her lawyer, it's not funny,
- 56:04but I was like, I've never seen this before in a courtroom.
- 56:07Wow.
- 56:07Takes him down pretty much to the ground.
- 56:10The deputies in the courtroom, they were like slow,
- 56:12like, where were they?
- 56:13I don't know.
- 56:14It was a hot mess.
- 56:15They wrestled Taylor to the ground,
- 56:16and they end up clearing the court
- 56:18before continuing with the hearing.
- 56:20It was wild.
- 56:21So many were kind of like,
- 56:23if she wanted to show the judge
- 56:25that she was mentally incompetent,
- 56:26like this is how she would do it.
- 56:28Some really thought that she was just leaning into this
- 56:30in hopes for the judge to see that she is mentally unwell.
- 56:34And that was kind of like the debate for a minute.
- 56:36But then as you continue watching the court trial,
- 56:38I just think this is who she is as a person.
- 56:40After that whole ordeal,
- 56:42she was assigned another public defender, fair.
- 56:46Taylor, she went and got evaluated in February
- 56:48by a state psychologist to see if she could
- 56:52take the stand, right, is she fit?
- 56:54Well, this one psychologist came back and said,
- 56:57no, like Taylor is not mentally fit to stand trial.
- 57:00She's not, she can't.
- 57:01This psychologist told the court
- 57:03that during one of her evaluations with Taylor,
- 57:05Taylor had freaked out,
- 57:07got up out of her seat and started screaming.
- 57:10Then she took herself to the corner of the room
- 57:13and picked up a chair,
- 57:15which luckily was a plastic chair,
- 57:17and hawked that shit at the psychologist.
- 57:21The psychologist said that in their 32 years of practice,
- 57:25no one has ever thrown a chair at her.
- 57:28But despite this,
- 57:29the judge ruled that Taylor was competent to stand trial.
- 57:33It's a very hot take.
- 57:37Taylor's trial started earlier this year, July of 2023.
- 57:42Do not recommend.
- 57:43I watch a lot of court trials.
- 57:45I wanna work in a courtroom one day, so I'm always watching.
- 57:48But this court trial was nothing like I've ever seen before.
- 57:52At the beginning,
- 57:53Taylor's new lawyer asked the court to exclude
- 57:56Taylor's internet search history
- 57:58before the murder took place,
- 58:00because this happened before the murder took place,
- 58:03had nothing to do with what happened, right?
- 58:06And the reason that they wanted her internet search history
- 58:09to not be shown was because she was making
- 58:11some questionable searches.
- 58:14In court, they had read them and it was like,
- 58:16oh my fucking girl.
- 58:18She was looking up Jeffrey Dahmer
- 58:20walking into court, all sexy.
- 58:22There was another one,
- 58:24Jeffrey Dahmer's butt.
- 58:27It was like when a kid first gets the internet.
- 58:29The judge ended up ruling
- 58:31that the evidence could be admitted to court.
- 58:34So we have a little Jeffrey Dahmer lover over here,
- 58:37and I don't get it.
- 58:38There's so many fish in the sea.
- 58:40Why? Why?
- 58:41Why Jeffrey Dahmer?
- 58:42The witness stand during trial was a fricking hot mess.
- 58:45They called to the stand a friend who was,
- 58:48or the friend who was with them the night of Shad's murder.
- 58:51Remember the friend who was a party pooper and left?
- 58:53So they call up this friend to the stand
- 58:55and they asked him if he noticed anything weird
- 58:57with Taylor's behavior that night.
- 58:58And he said no, the vibes were chill.
- 59:01Another person who was called to the stand
- 59:04was Taylor's father, Arturo.
- 59:08Let me tell you, they bring him into court,
- 59:10he's in his orange jumpsuit,
- 59:12he's also handcuffed because he is serving
- 59:14his sexual assault sentence situation, his rape.
- 59:18He ends up taking the stand.
- 59:20He tells the court that Taylor's mental health
- 59:21had been declining ever since her mom died.
- 59:24And then he goes on to blame Taylor's husband, Warren,
- 59:28saying that everything was fine
- 59:30until he got out of jail and fucked everything up.
- 59:34He introduced his daughter to these drugs,
- 59:38and she got involved and he just, he fucked her up.
- 59:41So he's done with his testimony.
- 59:43They're walking him out of the courtroom,
- 59:46and Taylor's sitting there, she's looking at her dad.
- 59:48She's like, I love you.
- 59:49And then he's like, I love you, too.
- 59:51They're talking to each other, which you're not supposed to.
- 59:53And then after they walk him out of the courtroom,
- 59:57Taylor yells, go Bears.
- 59:59- [Arturo] Love you.
- 1:00:00- I love you, too.
- 1:00:01- [Arturo] Go Bears.
- 1:00:02- Go Bears.
- 1:00:04I'm smiling because I was like,
- 1:00:06honey, now's not the time.
- 1:00:09No.
- 1:00:10(Bailey munching)
- 1:00:13I was like, girl.
- 1:00:15Go Bears? At a murder trial?
- 1:00:18I mean if you watch the trial, which you shouldn't,
- 1:00:21'cause I'm giving you the whole rundown,
- 1:00:22but you can tell, or she seems,
- 1:00:24Taylor seems very mentally unwell.
- 1:00:27Every time someone's on the stand,
- 1:00:28she's looking straight at the court cameras
- 1:00:30and she's just staring at them.
- 1:00:32And then she's laughing, she's giggling all throughout.
- 1:00:34She can't stop laughing.
- 1:00:36Girl, you murdered someone.
- 1:00:37What is your problem? Get it together.
- 1:00:40She's always making some kind of face
- 1:00:42like somebody farted, you know?
- 1:00:44But in court I guess,
- 1:00:46mental illness brought on by drugs,
- 1:00:48or a mental illness that seems to be extreme
- 1:00:52because of drugs,
- 1:00:54is not considered a quote-unquote
- 1:00:56true mental illness because of the drugs.
- 1:01:00So if you kill someone while high, you are liable,
- 1:01:03and that's why she was able to go through the whole trial.
- 1:01:07After the whole trial,
- 1:01:08the jury only took one hour
- 1:01:12to find Taylor Schabusiness guilty on all charges.
- 1:01:17First degree intentional homicide,
- 1:01:19mutilating a corpse, third degree sexual assault.
- 1:01:24And she was facing mandatory life in jail,
- 1:01:29as she should because what the fuck?
- 1:01:32Remember Taylor Schabusiness's husband, Warren Schabow?
- 1:01:37Well, since her arrest,
- 1:01:39he really stepped up his husband game.
- 1:01:41He's still in federal prison serving his sentence,
- 1:01:44but I guess they get access to Facebook in prison.
- 1:01:48I didn't look this up, I forgot to.
- 1:01:49Throughout the trial,
- 1:01:50Warren used Facebook to voice his support for his wife,
- 1:01:54like no matter what she did.
- 1:01:56He was posting like,
- 1:01:57I'm so blessed to be with Taylor.
- 1:01:58My wife is locked up, but like I love her regardless.
- 1:02:02She is my (indistinct), blah, blah, blah.
- 1:02:04He would go on and on, like she would never do this.
- 1:02:06She was just having a bad day.
- 1:02:08He was like, boy, shut up.
- 1:02:10Everyone just needs to shut up.
- 1:02:13She and Warren are still in communication often.
- 1:02:16At least, I don't know about right this second,
- 1:02:19but when I was researching all this,
- 1:02:21like they were writing letters to each other.
- 1:02:24She was directing him on like what to post on his Facebook.
- 1:02:27Saying like, honey, you need to like post
- 1:02:29that I'm innocent and that
- 1:02:31you're standing by me or whatever.
- 1:02:34Yeah,
- 1:02:36yeah.
- 1:02:36But that's mainly it.
- 1:02:38I think they're still married.
- 1:02:39Well, Taylor will be spending the rest of her life in prison
- 1:02:43for murdering Shad, as she should be, because it was brutal.
- 1:02:48I guess today's story really stuck out for me personally.
- 1:02:51Like it really was like, what the fuck?
- 1:02:54I could not wrap my head around it,
- 1:02:56because of well, obviously how brutal it is.
- 1:02:58I think we can all agree that it was very brutal.
- 1:03:03And I guess I was really shocked
- 1:03:05because you don't hear these types of stories a lot,
- 1:03:08when it comes to women killing, right?
- 1:03:10Like this is such mainly
- 1:03:13a man thing, not to be sexist or anything, right?
- 1:03:17But I think we can agree in these true crime stories,
- 1:03:19it's always the men who go off like this.
- 1:03:21Rarely is it a woman.
- 1:03:23And for the first time I was like, holy fucking shit.
- 1:03:26Like she went off and yeah, probably because of the meth,
- 1:03:31but still I was like, holy fuck.
- 1:03:34Never have I ever heard a horrifying story like this.
- 1:03:38And drugs are bad.
- 1:03:40And I'm glad it wasn't used as an excuse for her
- 1:03:43to get like a lesser sentence,
- 1:03:45because she shouldn't get a lesser sentence.
- 1:03:48Shad's life was lost because of this woman,
- 1:03:52and Shad's mom, forever traumatized, right?
- 1:03:56It's just sad.
- 1:03:57I didn't wanna look up like where
- 1:03:59Taylor's kid or baby was at,
- 1:04:01'cause none of that matters, right?
- 1:04:04And I don't think we need to know.
- 1:04:06But what the fuck was that about?
- 1:04:10I don't know.
- 1:04:11Go Bears?
- 1:04:13Need I say more?
- 1:04:14Anyways, I would love to hear you guys' thoughts down below.
- 1:04:17Do you think she should have got tried as mentally unwell?
- 1:04:22Obviously she's not mentally well,
- 1:04:24I think we can all agree on that,
- 1:04:26but you still murdered someone,
- 1:04:28and you can't even just murder, girl,
- 1:04:29like you fucking chopped up.
- 1:04:31And that is,
- 1:04:33that's a different type of brain
- 1:04:35that I don't ever wanna encounter.
