1. 0:00Hello everybody. Welcome to another
2. 0:02episode of Shalom Shalom.
3. 0:10My name is Divine. [music] This is a
4. 0:11series where I share with you what the
5. 0:13Holy Spirit has spoken to me that has
6. 0:15given me such perfect peace so you can
7. 0:18have perfect peace, too.
8. 0:20>> [music]
9. 0:20>> That is what Shalom Shalom means,
10. 0:22perfect peace. Today's topic is joy of
11. 0:25salvation. [music]
12. 0:26I noticed because of some certain
13. 0:28experiences that I was losing the joy of
14. 0:31my salvation, which I define [music]
15. 0:33as the overwhelming joy we experience in
16. 0:36being saved and following Jesus. Notice
17. 0:39I said joy, not [music] happiness.
18. 0:41Happiness is based off of happenings.
19. 0:43There can be chaos and you still have
20. 0:45joy. That's the difference. In [music]
21. 0:47good, in bad. Believers have joy rooted
22. 0:51deep because of the Holy Spirit. Joy is
23. 0:54a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Your walk
24. 0:56with God is not supposed to be all rosy,
25. 0:58but He leads us besides [music] still
26. 1:00waters. Don't that. We can preach about
27. 1:03the struggles and trials [music] we face
28. 1:05as believers, but don't let that take
29. 1:07away from your joy in following Jesus,
30. 1:10in spending [music] time with Him, in
31. 1:12obeying Him, in doing His will, in going
32. 1:15to church, in loving people.
33. 1:17There is joy [music] right here.
34. 1:19Right here in being saved, in knowing
35. 1:21Jesus, in [music] serving God, there is
36. 1:24joy. It's not supposed to be easy. It's
37. 1:26not meant to be depressing, either.
38. 1:29There should [music] be a deep-seated
39. 1:31joy
40. 1:32inside of you. So, my question for you
41. 1:34today is, do you still [music] have the
42. 1:35joy of your salvation or are you just
43. 1:37exhausted at hearing the word
44. 1:39Christianity or church [music] or
45. 1:42growth?
46. 1:43If you feel like you lost it, we can get
47. 1:45it back.
48. 1:46It can be restored. Like the psalmist
49. 1:48prayed, [music] restore to me the joy of
50. 1:50my salvation. You can go through so much
51. 1:53and lose the joy of your salvation. It
52. 1:56is very possible
53. 1:58that you feel drained.
54. 2:00Just like the [music] psalmist here in
55. 2:01this passage, if you read the preceding
56. 2:03verses, he went through so much
57. 2:06and realized that he lost the joy
58. 2:07[music] of his salvation.
59. 2:09So, he prayed for it to be restored.
60. 2:12Family, [music] there is joy in knowing
61. 2:15Jesus. A joy that the enemy cannot take
62. 2:18away from you because he did not give it
63. 2:20to you. [music] There's joy right here.
64. 2:24And how do we get that joy? Apart
65. 2:25[music] from praying for it to be
66. 2:26restored, in his presence, there is
67. 2:28fullness of joy. At his right hand,
68. 2:30there are pleasures evermore. The more
69. 2:32we sit and spend [music] time at the
70. 2:34feet of Jesus, the more our joy builds.
71. 2:38Shalom, [music] shalom.
