  1. 0:00let's go to another comment
  2. 0:03kinking kingdom Theodore do you think
  3. 0:06Africans hate themselves because leaders
  4. 0:11have made them think that they hate
  5. 0:13themselves I don't think that the
  6. 0:17African has really hated himself it is
  7. 0:19simply that either they do not have the
  8. 0:22kind of tools that they really need to
  9. 0:25have and must have in order to walk
  10. 0:28their way to the club of freedom because
  11. 0:33at the end of the day Africa is endowed
  12. 0:37with almost everything you can think
  13. 0:40about to tell you the truth for there is
  14. 0:42no need why an African kid should not
  15. 0:47have a guarantee of three meals a day
  16. 0:51there is no need why Africa should be
  17. 0:56crying for things that are surely a
  18. 1:00patent almost everywhere I think what
  19. 1:03Africa needs is good leadership
  20. 1:06it needs leadership that is made up of
  21. 1:11men and women with the character with
  22. 1:14the integrity it's not just about the
  23. 1:17degrees it's not just about being
  24. 1:20generous with ranks on your shoulders
  25. 1:22and whatever you and you are able to buy
  26. 1:25and drive a tank it's not about having
  27. 1:28an Air Force and your flight and
  28. 1:30whatever it's about having the ability
  29. 1:34having the sense of organization
  30. 1:37mobilizing and organizing and frankly
  31. 1:41making sure that you are patriotic to
  32. 1:45your community your society not
  33. 1:49necessarily patriotic to your stoma
  34. 1:52because we need each other and when you
  35. 1:55think about it when you look at
  36. 1:57traditional Africa traditional Africa is
  37. 2:01a very
  38. 2:03would courage a very good society with
  39. 2:07great values in fact when you talk about
  40. 2:10Africa you're talking about extended
  41. 2:13relationships okay let's move along
  42. 2:15let's move along let's go to each other
  43. 2:17'mo nica come Bombay
  44. 2:19do you see the current political
  45. 2:22leadership in Africa having a desire to
  46. 2:24unite as one where in fact you know it
  47. 2:29seems to me that we found us at least
  48. 2:34all the people that were very much
  49. 2:37interested in that kind of idea that
  50. 2:39kind of society it looks like are they
  51. 2:44pretty much live would at a time when
  52. 2:49unfortunately at that time they did not
  53. 2:52have the opportunity to do it but if you
  54. 2:54know when you think about people like
  55. 2:56Kwame Nkrumah for example when you think
  56. 2:59about people like secretory over Guinea
  57. 3:03Conakry you think about Colonel Gamal
  58. 3:05Abdel Nasser of Egypt you think about
  59. 3:09Marimo Julia's camera nearly of Tanzania
  60. 3:13you think about my friend the Zambian
  61. 3:17founding president dr. Kenneth David
  62. 3:21Kahuna these were people how about
  63. 3:24mention of water of young people like
  64. 3:26mr. Boddy there is no question about
  65. 3:28that
  66. 3:28you can't dine that quality those
  67. 3:31especially Milton Obote t1 the one that
  68. 3:36became prime minister of Uganda on
  69. 3:39October 9th 1962 at least after 1971
  70. 3:46when he was overthrown by Major General
  71. 3:49Idi Amin Dada he had a great dream and
  72. 3:52he was a man that was very
  73. 3:55pan-africanist there's no question Erica
  74. 3:57you could deny that these were people
  75. 4:00who did not have boundaries
  76. 4:02nor did they have borders in their mind
  77. 4:05what they thought about was Africa it
  78. 4:09was a successful Africa it was an Africa
  79. 4:14that would accommodate all Africans and
  80. 4:17it was an Africa filled with hope but
  81. 4:21then they were things that happened and
  82. 4:22whatever and since then we have really
  83. 4:25had an absence of that type of
  84. 4:27leadership
