  1. 0:00the New York Times a former newspaper
  2. 0:02has set off a bombshell with a new
  3. 0:04report of completely unsubstantiated
  4. 0:06rumors of yet another absurd sexual
  5. 0:08allegation against Supreme Court justice
  6. 0:10Brett Kavanaugh the report of the
  7. 0:12factually empty gossip was such a
  8. 0:14bombshell that had blew several times
  9. 0:15reporters out of the newsroom and into a
  10. 0:17vast darkness of journalistic
  11. 0:19malfeasance where they floated desolate
  12. 0:21in a soul destroying moral vacuum along
  13. 0:23with most of the times editorial staff
  14. 0:25according to the allegations someone
  15. 0:28said someone said something about
  16. 0:30something else someone might have said
  17. 0:32about justice Cavanaugh no wait sorry
  18. 0:34that's a James Taylor song now wait
  19. 0:36that's actually also the New York Times
  20. 0:37piece although The Times did not supply
  21. 0:39the lilting melody or soulful blues
  22. 0:41slash country vocal stylings of mr.
  23. 0:43Taylor as his extraordinary artistic
  24. 0:45peak
  25. 0:46The Times story alleges and I'm not
  26. 0:48making this up that some guy saw
  27. 0:50Kavanagh as friends push Cavanaugh's
  28. 0:52penis into the hand of a woman at a
  29. 0:54party at Yale the penis was later
  30. 0:57returned to mr. Kavanagh by his friends
  31. 0:59who said they'd only borrowed it as a
  32. 1:00prank the allegation was alleged in an
  33. 1:03alleged book by some alleged reporters
  34. 1:05for The Times an alleged newspaper but
  35. 1:07in the book the woman in question says
  36. 1:09she has no memory of the incident a fact
  37. 1:12that was left out of the original Times
  38. 1:14story which is both an astounding act of
  39. 1:16corrupt journalistic malpractice and
  40. 1:18standard operating procedure at the
  41. 1:19Times Democrats immediately reacted to
  42. 1:22the fact free third-hand rumors by
  43. 1:24demanding Cavanaugh's impeachment in a
  44. 1:26statement by a female make-believe
  45. 1:28Indian presidential candidate who asked
  46. 1:30to remain anonymous while she was
  47. 1:31degrading herself by spreading baseless
  48. 1:33calumnies quote this unfounded slur is
  49. 1:36just one more unfounded slur to add to
  50. 1:38the pile of unfounded slurs which
  51. 1:40magically become founded once you pile
  52. 1:42them up high enough unquote mobs of
  53. 1:45hysterical leftist female's immediately
  54. 1:47gathered outside the Supreme Court
  55. 1:48shrieking believe all women while
  56. 1:50simultaneously making that utterly
  57. 1:52impossible
  58. 1:53trigger warning I'm after Clavin and
  59. 1:55this is the Andrew Clavin show
  60. 1:57[Music]
  61. 2:10[Music]
  62. 2:23you know I often tell a story about a
  63. 2:26young couple who lived across a New York
  64. 2:28City Street from me when I was young
  65. 2:30myself and they put their bed by the
  66. 2:32window and they left the window opened
  67. 2:34and often at all times of the day I
  68. 2:36could see them making love to one
  69. 2:37another with enormous vigor and
  70. 2:39creativity it was shockingly raw stuff
  71. 2:42and difficult not to watch one day I
  72. 2:44remarked upon it to the live-in
  73. 2:45girlfriend who would one day become my
  74. 2:47wife I said look at this this is
  75. 2:49downright pornographic and she said why
  76. 2:51what's pornographic about it we do all
  77. 2:53the same things they do which was to me
  78. 2:55a revelation the revelation was this the
  79. 2:58inner life makes everything worthwhile
  80. 3:00but to the eye is pornography maybe true
  81. 3:02love to the soul we humans live a deeply
  82. 3:05material life but we live it at a
  83. 3:07spiritual level whether we want to or
  84. 3:09not this is one of the most confusing
  85. 3:11and confounding aspects of human
  86. 3:13existence our animal selves provide us
  87. 3:15with everything that is based about
  88. 3:17ourselves our bodily functions our raw
  89. 3:19desires disease and death but they're
  90. 3:21also at the core of our nobility what is
  91. 3:24there in human life more beautiful or
  92. 3:25poignant than the sight of a mother with
  93. 3:27her newborn child it's an incredibly
  94. 3:29human thing and yet it's not a human
  95. 3:31thing at all the same phenomenon happens
  96. 3:33at every level of mammalian life what
  97. 3:36makes it so amazing for us is our
  98. 3:37god-given and godlike consciousness of
  99. 3:39its depth and meaning many people
  100. 3:42throughout history have sought to remove
  101. 3:44the animal from humanity and leave only
  102. 3:46the mental or spiritual behind religious
  103. 3:48celibates who seek to leave desire
  104. 3:50behind philosophers who elevate thought
  105. 3:53over every other activity or scientists
  106. 3:55who seek to hand over central bodily
  107. 3:57functions like birth to machinery to
  108. 4:00leave us quote-unquote free to pursue
  109. 4:03our quote-unquote higher callings
  110. 4:05I've always wondered though what is the
  111. 4:07good of improving the life of man if
  112. 4:09he's no longer man when you're done with
  113. 4:10him
  114. 4:11clearly the higher wiser more vital most
  115. 4:14human answer is to immerse oneself in
  116. 4:16animal life in a completely spiritual
  117. 4:17way some headon it's believed hedonists
  118. 4:20believe that this means experiencing
  119. 4:22physical pleasure to its depths but
  120. 4:24every time they've tried this it seems
  121. 4:25to result in disaster the abuse of the
  122. 4:27weak by the powerful I suspect
  123. 4:30Aristotelian Christianity comes closer
  124. 4:32to the truth when it advises us to apply
  125. 4:35the moral sense that holds us to the
  126. 4:38virtue between extremes and looks to God
  127. 4:40to supply meaning depth and joy to both
  128. 4:42the pleasures we have and the restraint
  129. 4:44we need to make those pleasures moral
  130. 4:46that path is both straight and narrow
  131. 4:49but one thing seems clear especially
  132. 4:51right now in this present moment
  133. 4:53if you step off the border of the
  134. 4:55straight and narrow path sheer madness
  135. 4:58lies beyond and we'll see why in just a
  136. 5:00second but first let us talk about light

  165. 6:19more information I always wish I had
  166. 6:21every time I read that I wish I had one
  167. 6:23of those fast readers
  168. 6:24who would take me through that but I
  169. 6:26don't so I just stumbled through it on
  170. 6:28my own I'm still in New York waiting to
  171. 6:30do the roast for Ben Shapiro which
  172. 6:32follows hard on the roast who's roasted
  173. 6:35last night somebody Alec Baldwin was
  174. 6:37roasted last night it's a little harder
  175. 6:38to roast Ben because he's an actually
  176. 6:40decent human being but we'll do our best
  177. 6:41and I'll be as nasty as I possibly can
  178. 6:44let's let's start this story with this
  179. 6:46time story which is an amazing piece of
  180. 6:48self-destruction by the New York Times
  181. 6:51it's in keeping with what they're doing
  182. 6:52now everything is get Trump everything
  183. 6:54is destroy conservatives everything is
  184. 6:56lump conservatives with Trump and just
  185. 6:57page after page about how Trump is evil
  186. 7:00what a terrible thing he's done to us
  187. 7:01how we'll never recover
  188. 7:02never mind the economy it doesn't matter
  189. 7:04never mind the fact that we're not at
  190. 7:06war and never mind the fact that
  191. 7:07everything is actually going pretty well
  192. 7:09at the New York Times Donald Trump is
  193. 7:11the devil and they cannot stop attacking
  194. 7:14him and part of him is of course the
  195. 7:16appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the
  196. 7:18Supreme Court with you know not wishing
  197. 7:20anything bad on Ruth Bader Ginsburg but
  198. 7:23very possibly another Supreme Court pick
  199. 7:26coming up so they're getting all the
  200. 7:28more hysterical about it so there a book
  201. 7:31is going to come out I think it's coming
  202. 7:32out tomorrow it's called something like
  203. 7:33the education against Brett Kavanaugh
  204. 7:36and so they and it's written by two New
  205. 7:37York Times reporters and so they run
  206. 7:40this thing a new story and you all
  207. 7:43remember how they tried to get in with
  208. 7:45Christine Blasi Ford and he'd done this
  209. 7:46horrible thing when he was 18 or 17 or
  210. 7:4816 years old whatever it was and now
  211. 7:50they say they've got a shocking new
  212. 7:52sexual allegation that when he was at
  213. 7:54Yale as in the 80s he was at a party and
  214. 7:57I guess the idea is he was naked and
  215. 7:59some of his pals shoved him into a girl
  216. 8:01so that his penis touched her hand and
  217. 8:04now you know this is written by Robin
  218. 8:06Pogrebin and Kate Kelly and we'll get
  219. 8:08back to them in a minute but this source
  220. 8:11uh is well look Molly Hemingway and
  221. 8:15Carrie Severino wrote this wonderful
  222. 8:16wonderful book called justice on trial I
  223. 8:18read it it's I recommend it highly it is
  224. 8:21a deeply deeply researched all about
  225. 8:23this attack on Brett Kavanaugh and where
  226. 8:25it came from and the strategies that
  227. 8:26were using on all this stuff
  228. 8:27and so here's Molly talking about the
  229. 8:30way the Times reported this allegation
  230. 8:32so there is this book coming out on
  231. 8:34Tuesday it's written by two reporters
  232. 8:36who were actually kind of involved
  233. 8:38in Auntie Cavanaugh of efforts probably
  234. 8:41the best way to put it they were
  235. 8:42reporting on it for the New York Times
  236. 8:44they were pulled off of their beats to
  237. 8:46help because they both had backgrounds
  238. 8:48privileged backgrounds where they had
  239. 8:50intersected with people who were in the
  240. 8:52story and Robin Poe gurbin went to Yale
  241. 8:54with Kavanagh she actually wound with
  242. 8:56one of the central figures who
  243. 8:58coordinated Auntie Cavanaugh efforts she
  244. 9:01lightly discloses that in her book and
  245. 9:03now they're out with a book and Kari and
  246. 9:06I have been reading it I just finished
  247. 9:07it and they also have an essay where
  248. 9:09they claimed that there was another
  249. 9:11allegation left out of the essay is that
  250. 9:15there was a claim that was made is
  251. 9:17actually denied by the alleged victim
  252. 9:19they put that in their book but they
  253. 9:21didn't put that in their essay which is
  254. 9:23causing some people to question their
  255. 9:24journalistic ethics this is amazing
  256. 9:29stuff they did put an editorial note
  257. 9:31after 24 hours of enduring the wrath of
  258. 9:34human of all humankind they put in an
  259. 9:37editorial note mentioning that the woman
  260. 9:39that the woman who is supposed to be at
  261. 9:41the center of this doesn't remember this
  262. 9:42and she doesn't say it happened she's
  263. 9:43not you know like she's not denying it
  264. 9:45she's just remember something like that
  265. 9:48ever happened which is pretty amazing
  266. 9:50not to leave that I mean that is an
  267. 9:51amazing piece and you have to remember
  268. 9:53the big thing the big take on this is
  269. 9:55why didn't the FBI research this but you
  270. 9:57have to go back and remember that the
  271. 9:59whole thing was about delaying the
  272. 10:01Cavanagh acceptance was delaying putting
  273. 10:04him on the court so that hopefully
  274. 10:06something magical would happen they
  275. 10:09would find the Trump was actually
  276. 10:11Vladimir Putin in disguise you know they
  277. 10:14would actually get to an election and
  278. 10:15vote him out of office something
  279. 10:16anything to delay so they kept pouring
  280. 10:18things on kept asking more and more
  281. 10:20things kept moving the goalposts and
  282. 10:21finally the Republicans agreed to let
  283. 10:23the FBI investigate the two most
  284. 10:26believable allegations the Plessy Ford
  285. 10:29allegation and one other allegation they
  286. 10:31were investigated those found no proof
  287. 10:32that they had taken place and this came
  288. 10:34in and it's obvious nonsense now here's
  289. 10:36Kerry Severino the other author of the
  290. 10:38book Justice on trial talking about and
  291. 10:40this is amazing talking about the chain
  292. 10:43how this piece of intelligence how this
  293. 10:46story actually becomes a story how the
  294. 10:48sources pass it along what's so funny
  295. 10:51about
  296. 10:52allegation is the incredibly you know it
  297. 10:55can you ated nature of it so what they
  298. 10:57really have is to Senate staffers who
  299. 10:59say that steyr told them that he heard
  300. 11:02from a woman that at a party kept that
  301. 11:06when where everyone was maybe drunk
  302. 11:08Cavanaugh's friends pushed him and his
  303. 11:11genitalia into her now what's crazy is
  304. 11:14that the story itself is I mean if you
  305. 11:17even follow to that that's impressive
  306. 11:18it's so many links in the chain and that
  307. 11:21the Karthik do they leave out is that
  308. 11:23this woman apparently has told her
  309. 11:25friends that she doesn't even remember
  310. 11:26it and steyr himself and the woman are
  311. 11:29not speaking to Coco gurbin and Kelly so
  312. 11:33this is a you know it's not anything
  313. 11:34like third hand fourth hand count of in
  314. 11:38an incident that even if it happened as
  315. 11:40it is described sounds like it was
  316. 11:42Cavanaugh's friends who were the
  317. 11:43wrongdoers here so it is a very bizarre
  318. 11:47thing to try to hang your hat on as a
  319. 11:48new allegation on top of which they did
  320. 11:52steyr who they refer to as this kind of
  321. 11:55just a well-respected you know guy he
  322. 11:57runs a he runs a non-profit and they say
  323. 12:00oh he's a well-respected knight he was
  324. 12:02also a on Bill Clinton's legal team
  325. 12:05where they were defending him against
  326. 12:07charges of sexual malfeasance with
  327. 12:10monica lewinsky sire is on that legal
  328. 12:14team and on the other team against him
  329. 12:16Brett Kavanaugh never mind that so
  330. 12:18they've got these two reporters one of
  331. 12:20whom was involved with trying to take
  332. 12:22down Cavanaugh they've got a source who
  333. 12:24isn't talking to them who says that the
  334. 12:27who was on the Bill Clinton team against
  335. 12:29Brett Kavanaugh plus it wasn't even from
  336. 12:32the source it was two people two aides
  337. 12:34telling them that the source said that
  338. 12:36this happened at a party to a woman who
  339. 12:38doesn't remember it I mean it's not it's
  340. 12:41not not you know there's something you
  341. 12:43scroll on a bathroom wall this is not a
  342. 12:44news story they should make it into
  343. 12:46someplace supposedly as as terrific a
  344. 12:50journalistic venue as the New York Times
  345. 12:53let us pause just a minute because then
  346. 12:55I got to get to the funny part I mean
  347. 12:56this is already kind of hilarious but
  348. 12:57I'll get to the funny part in just a
  349. 12:59minute but let us talk about ring-ring
  350. 13:02is there to help keep you safe and it
  351. 13:04really does it really

  356. 13:12out why he's there what he's doing there

  362. 13:23important to keep an eye on your home
  363. 13:25and the people that you love ring helps
  364. 13:27you stay connected anywhere in the world

  368. 13:34and you can even make sure your children
  369. 13:36make it to the bus on time and get home
  370. 13:38safe at the end of the day that's a lot
  371. 13:39of security it's the kind of thing you
  372. 13:41want to have in your pocket and as a
  373. 13:43listener you have a special offer on a
  374. 13:45ring starter kit available right now

  377. 13:52that's somebody steps on your property
  378. 13:53the floodlight goes on and you can see
  379. 13:55who it is right there and it probably
  380. 13:57will make them run away anyway the

  389. 14:14aan so that's the story we're dealing
  390. 14:17with alright is this complete work of
  391. 14:20nonsense and of course the left goes
  392. 14:22crazy
  393. 14:22Liz Warren says she tweets out last year
  394. 14:25the Cavanaugh nomination was rammed
  395. 14:27through the Senate without a thorough
  396. 14:29examination of the allegations against
  397. 14:31him I mean that's utter garbage
  398. 14:33confirmation is not exoneration and
  399. 14:35these newest revelations are disturbing
  400. 14:36like the man who appointed him Cavanaugh
  401. 14:39should be impeached Kamala Harris i sat
  402. 14:41through those hearings Brett Kavanaugh
  403. 14:43lied to the US Senate and most
  404. 14:45importantly to the American people he
  405. 14:46was put on the court through a sham
  406. 14:48process and his place on the court is an
  407. 14:50insult to the pursuit of truth and
  408. 14:52justice and here's Julian Castro what's
  409. 14:55happening right now with Donald Trump
  410. 14:57and what he's doing in the presidency
  411. 14:59and what happened with this Cavanaugh
  412. 15:01process is that they're completely
  413. 15:05undermining our democratic process and
  414. 15:09the necessity to go by what is truthful
  415. 15:15and honest especially when you're
  416. 15:18talking about somebody sitting
  417. 15:19on the highest court in the land that is
  418. 15:22supposed to be the ultimate arbiter of
  419. 15:24what is right and just and what he came
  420. 15:27clear yeah you say what's become clear
  421. 15:30is that that he should be impeached the
  422. 15:32house absolutely has the ability to
  423. 15:34impeach him the question would be what
  424. 15:36the Senate would do and you know I want
  425. 15:39to know at this point you know why why
  426. 15:42did the FBI not follow up on all of
  427. 15:45these leads that they have they didn't
  428. 15:46lift a finger to investigate it and if
  429. 15:49they brought if they did bring some of
  430. 15:51that information to the attention of
  431. 15:52some of those Republican senators why
  432. 15:54didn't those senators say anything this
  433. 15:56is it is utterly ridiculous I mean would
  434. 15:58you would anybody investigate this I
  435. 16:00mean you can anybody can say anything
  436. 16:01about anybody and we know the left does
  437. 16:03this they did it to Clarence Thomas and
  438. 16:05they continued to insist and make movies
  439. 16:08about the fact that this was true when
  440. 16:10even even if everything to need a hill
  441. 16:12it said about Clarence Thomas was true
  442. 16:13it would have been melted to nothing a
  443. 16:15little bit of irritation a little bit of
  444. 16:17course a few coarse remarks it would
  445. 16:19have amounted to nothing Clarence Thomas
  446. 16:21there was never an allegation of
  447. 16:22Clarence Thomas hurt Anita Hills career
  448. 16:24she followed him around she followed him
  449. 16:26from place to place because he was
  450. 16:27helping her career and grooming her and
  451. 16:29that the idea that he did any of those
  452. 16:32things is completely unsubstantiated but
  453. 16:34even if it weren't even if it weren't
  454. 16:36and I feel that personally I feel that
  455. 16:38way about Brett Kavanaugh Blasi Ford to
  456. 16:40by the way I mean this is I know an
  457. 16:42unpopular opinion but I feel if he did
  458. 16:44something jerky in high school even if
  459. 16:46he acted up and acted wild in college no
  460. 16:49do I feel that that makes disqualifies
  461. 16:51him to be a great judge on the Supreme
  462. 16:53Court no I don't and I mean you know I
  463. 16:55have I listen I have dual feelings about
  464. 16:57the me2 movement in in general you know
  465. 17:00I want ladies to be treated like ladies
  466. 17:01I want gentlemen to be gentlemen that's
  467. 17:03a very important thing to me a very
  468. 17:05important value to me but as I'm going
  469. 17:07to talk about in just a minute what's
  470. 17:08the logic of that falls apart you can't
  471. 17:10blame people for behaving the way people
  472. 17:13behaved at a certain period and then
  473. 17:15going back into time and saying well now
  474. 17:17we're going to prosecute you for things
  475. 17:18because our mores or morals have changed
  476. 17:21that's absurd on top of which the whole
  477. 17:24thing about Christine blazing forward is
  478. 17:27that like her allegations were not that
  479. 17:29believable they were not believable at
  480. 17:30all it was like somewhere
  481. 17:32in the past I don't know where something
  482. 17:34happened even other women you know
  483. 17:35obviously left-wing women rape went out
  484. 17:38immediately with this incredibly stupid
  485. 17:41logic of I was attacked so I believe her
  486. 17:44which makes no sense whatsoever but
  487. 17:46other women said I remember every detail
  488. 17:48of what happened to me when I was
  489. 17:49attacked and she doesn't remember
  490. 17:51anything and she didn't plus on top of
  491. 17:53this this is new also from the
  492. 17:55Federalist with where Molly Hemingway
  493. 17:57and Carrie Severino work within days of
  494. 18:00Cavanaugh's confirmation to the Supreme
  495. 18:02Court
  496. 18:02Brett Cavanaugh's father was approached
  497. 18:05by Christine Ford's father at the golf
  498. 18:07club where they were both members Ralph
  499. 18:09Blasi Ford's father went out of his way
  500. 18:11to offer Edie Kavanagh his support of
  501. 18:13Brett Cavanaugh's confirmation to the
  502. 18:15Supreme Court as Christine placing for
  503. 18:16his father saying he was glad he said
  504. 18:19I'm glad Brett was confirmed and they
  505. 18:21the encounter immediately caused a stir
  506. 18:23at the close-knit private Golf Club his
  507. 18:25staff and members shared the news so I
  508. 18:27don't know if this was my daughter
  509. 18:28that's not what I would have been doing
  510. 18:29if I believed her and it makes me feel
  511. 18:32it certainly suggests that the father
  512. 18:35had doubts about the allegations and
  513. 18:36thinks that she may have been making
  514. 18:37some of this up so the the III should I
  515. 18:42have to report reporting the reaction of
  516. 18:44the Democrats I have to report the
  517. 18:46reaction of the media which of course is
  518. 18:48the same thing but it was interesting on
  519. 18:51the on Morning Joe Joe Scarborough had
  520. 18:53on a I don't know what his name was it
  521. 18:55was kind of a media commentator and Joe
  522. 18:57Scarborough like treated it like it was
  523. 18:59kind of his his pal the New York Times
  524. 19:01had had gone astray they'd gone astray
  525. 19:03as opposed to the fact that they do this
  526. 19:05now every single day I mean this happens
  527. 19:08to be a particularly egregious example
  528. 19:10of it but their newspaper reporting is
  529. 19:12now simply an attack on Trump it's
  530. 19:15virtually hate speech against all
  531. 19:17conservatives is not trying to get the
  532. 19:19news objectively it's not trying to tell
  533. 19:21all the news that's fit that's fit to
  534. 19:23print and Joe is sad and I could not
  535. 19:26believe that New York Times would write
  536. 19:28this piece without that information
  537. 19:32contained in it I surprised at 24 hours
  538. 19:3724 hours went by before they clarified
  539. 19:41that fact and let me just ask also our
  540. 19:43producers just
  541. 19:45in there that is max tire may be
  542. 19:47respected but was it not relevant to
  543. 19:52know that he was opposing counsel on the
  544. 19:57other side of Brett Kavanaugh and the
  545. 19:59Monica Lewinsky legal proceedings I
  546. 20:02don't understand why they didn't put
  547. 20:05this information in the article did that
  548. 20:07strike you as strange
  549. 20:08yeah that's certainly good context being
  550. 20:10provided here about Starr and Joe you're
  551. 20:12right we were talked about this
  552. 20:12yesterday and and we're puzzled and
  553. 20:14remain so that if the woman involved is
  554. 20:17saying that she doesn't remember that
  555. 20:19raises some questions about the piece
  556. 20:20certainly I'm not you know we're not
  557. 20:21going to the New York Times has made
  558. 20:23their own editorial judgments about what
  559. 20:24should be included but I think it but
  560. 20:26just taking a step back beyond this one
  561. 20:28article it also just want to read it
  562. 20:30underscores what a flashpoint the
  563. 20:32Cavanaugh hearings were and remain and
  564. 20:34will be going forward like yeah but yeah
  565. 20:39it's kind of strange that they don't
  566. 20:40know I can imagine why the New York
  567. 20:42Times would do such a thing I can't
  568. 20:44imagine how they could have made such a
  569. 20:46mistake maybe it was the drugs maybe you
  570. 20:48know they they took something for her
  571. 20:49cold and it got in there had their heads
  572. 20:51got stuffy you know it must be something
  573. 20:53like it must be there's got to be a
  574. 20:55reasonable explanation why The Times
  575. 20:57would unleash a rabid attack on a
  576. 21:00Supreme Court justice they don't like
  577. 21:02without checking the facts I mean what
  578. 21:03really there's got to be some other
  579. 21:05reason and then the commentator I love
  580. 21:06the way he goes like it just points out
  581. 21:08what a flashpoint this is it points out
  582. 21:10that these guys are scummy liars that's
  583. 21:13what it points out just say it you know
  584. 21:14they lie to get what they want they lie
  585. 21:17to get power they lie to get to keep
  586. 21:19control of the Supreme Court for
  587. 21:21scurrilous reasons in the first place
  588. 21:23because they've transformed the court
  589. 21:24into an agent of change they've
  590. 21:27transformed the court from people who
  591. 21:28kind of call balls and strikes the
  592. 21:30umpires are out there saying yep that's
  593. 21:32constitutional no that's not what the
  594. 21:33founders meant you don't like it change
  595. 21:35the Constitution they've changed it from
  596. 21:37that to yes we interpret this to mean
  597. 21:39whatever we want it to mean it's
  598. 21:41Thursday nowadays our standards are such
  599. 21:44and such it doesn't matter what Ben
  600. 21:45Franklin thought it doesn't matter what
  601. 21:47Thomas Jefferson thought it matters what
  602. 21:48we feel in our hearts is right I mean
  603. 21:50Anthony Kennedy who was a good judge a
  604. 21:52lot of the times but he drove me crazy
  605. 21:55with this stuff like well you know we
  606. 21:57feel the dignity
  607. 21:58gay people and therefore the
  608. 21:59Constitution must mean them to have the
  609. 22:01absolute right to be married in absurd
  610. 22:04that is what the left turned the court
  611. 22:06into it wasn't supposed to be that it's
  612. 22:08not supposed to be that now and so
  613. 22:10that's why they fight so desperately for
  614. 22:12it but let's get a little bit of a more
  615. 22:13measured a more measured reaction from
  616. 22:16MSNBC where the calm grown-up goes these
  617. 22:19this is a guy named Jason Johnson who
  618. 22:22Lord love him is a journalism professor
  619. 22:24there's the mysterious debt we don't
  620. 22:26know where that went
  621. 22:27well we have no idea where that went I
  622. 22:29don't know anybody who spends that much
  623. 22:30money on national circuits right that
  624. 22:32should make any sense to me then you
  625. 22:34have the thousands of legal documents
  626. 22:35right things that he wrote in the Bush
  627. 22:37administration that Republicans wouldn't
  628. 22:38turn forward then you have a history of
  629. 22:40sexual so I said last year joy I've
  630. 22:42never heard of a guy who's a one-time
  631. 22:43rapist I've never heard of a guy who's
  632. 22:44one time sexual assault er I grew up
  633. 22:46with guys like this he's from around
  634. 22:47this area right he's the fifth guy in a
  635. 22:49gang rape okay he's the guy who comes in
  636. 22:51after he's drunk as everybody else
  637. 22:52encourages and he can get away with and
  638. 22:54he's been pretty much covered his entire
  639. 22:55life and now he's on the Supreme Court
  640. 22:57where he can move that same despicable
  641. 22:59misogynistic attitude that he's gotten
  642. 23:01away with it's entirely cowardly life to
  643. 23:03the greatest misogynist of all which is
  644. 23:04a present you knighted States journalism
  645. 23:07professor yeah what's it recent like
  646. 23:09Morgan University I can't remember the
  647. 23:11name of the University that's a
  648. 23:12journalism professor yeah yeah we can
  649. 23:15tell we I can tell I grew up with guys
  650. 23:17like this he's the fifth guy in a gang
  651. 23:18rape and you know that that somehow is
  652. 23:20worth saying on TV unbelievable it is
  653. 23:24unbelievable stuff the hatred but but
  654. 23:26you know the thing that gets me about it
  655. 23:28is of course there is the Clinton
  656. 23:31hypocrisy that Clinton who was very
  657. 23:33credibly accused of rape who was
  658. 23:35obviously a serial cheater serial
  659. 23:39adulterer obviously a deep died liar I
  660. 23:42mean looked in the cameras that I did
  661. 23:44not have sex with that woman you know
  662. 23:46and when he obviously had I mean this is
  663. 23:49a guy who lied he perjured himself he
  664. 23:51was accused of rape nothing from the
  665. 23:53left just defense okay typical politics
  666. 23:57that suddenly when they think they've
  667. 23:58got something that they can get their
  668. 24:00opponents with they're gonna use it to
  669. 24:02the hilt okay I'll take that as as
  670. 24:04typical politics but it also brings out
  671. 24:07the fact that the culture the culture
  672. 24:10that
  673. 24:11could have created a party where a guy
  674. 24:13was standing around naked is not
  675. 24:15conservative culture it's the left's
  676. 24:18culture the left did this every step of
  677. 24:20the way
  678. 24:21it's the left who told women that they
  679. 24:23were the same as men that they should
  680. 24:25enjoy sex the same as men
  681. 24:26but it's victim-blaming if a woman gets
  682. 24:29a drunk out of her mind at a party with
  683. 24:31men and then wakes up with a stranger
  684. 24:34inside her that's you know that's just
  685. 24:36its victim blaming to point out that it
  686. 24:38was unwise for her to get drunk not that
  687. 24:40absolves the guy it doesn't but it's
  688. 24:42still that it's unwise to get drunk in
  689. 24:44the same way it's unwise to walk down a
  690. 24:46dark alley at 3 o'clock in the morning
  691. 24:47even though it's the muggers fault when
  692. 24:49he attacks you know it's the left that
  693. 24:51created this culture entirely and it's
  694. 24:53the left that still seeks to erase the
  695. 24:56differences between men and women and
  696. 24:57makes it absurd to have rules about sex
  697. 25:01right I mean if men would have different
  698. 25:03rules about sex if women have the same
  699. 25:05rules as men that that's exactly what's
  700. 25:07happening at a drunken party where
  701. 25:09everybody is running around and you know
  702. 25:11with clothes half off and it's drunk out
  703. 25:13of their mind that's that's women acting
  704. 25:16like men right and this is basically
  705. 25:18what the what the left has been selling
  706. 25:20women are the same as men except when
  707. 25:22men are women then women are so
  708. 25:23different you have to cut off your
  709. 25:24dingus to be one of them but then
  710. 25:26suddenly you're a woman I mean it's it's
  711. 25:27madness it's madness and if you don't
  712. 25:30start with the animal facts of life then
  713. 25:32you deal then you can deal with the
  714. 25:34problems that come up if you start with
  715. 25:35the animal facts of life you deal with
  716. 25:36the problems that come up there are two
  717. 25:38kinds of people men and women they're
  718. 25:39very different their physical bodies
  719. 25:42their brains everything about them is
  720. 25:43different they are built for different
  721. 25:46things why because nature doesn't care
  722. 25:48that you want to be a ski instructor it
  723. 25:50just cares that you reproduce it doesn't
  724. 25:52care if you want to paint the Sistine
  725. 25:54Chapel it just cares that you make more
  726. 25:56people and so it has created us for that
  727. 25:58fact and so surely surely the you know
  728. 26:02instead of eliminating that and trying
  729. 26:04to instead of trying to erase it what
  730. 26:06you do is you deal with it in a moral
  731. 26:08way that is how you humanize your
  732. 26:10animality that is how you humanize the
  733. 26:12physical facts of your life and that's
  734. 26:14what human life is about that is what
  735. 26:16human life is about it's not about
  736. 26:17eliminating the physical facts of your
  737. 26:19life it's not about only being a brain
  738. 26:21it's not about living celibate unless
  739. 26:23you have some specific reason to live
  740. 26:25cell
  741. 26:25but it's not about any of those thing
  742. 26:27and it's not about like turning over to
  743. 26:28robots and machines to do the things
  744. 26:31that human do humans do it's about
  745. 26:33living the life of an animal human in a
  746. 26:36spiritual way and if once you stop doing
  747. 26:38that
  748. 26:39the only other choice is the kind of
  749. 26:41madness we're seeing now it is it's like
  750. 26:43a sexual disease like a sexual pathology
  751. 26:45where everything having to do with sex
  752. 26:47is screwed up everything having to do
  753. 26:50the sex is madness why because we've
  754. 26:52lost the basics the basic idea you know
  755. 26:54well let me stop for just a second and
  756. 26:56talk about vistaprint you know I finally
  757. 26:58did get my cards I don't have them with

  791. 28:09you have to spell Clavin which is que la
  792. 28:11vie a n there are no ease in Clavin I
  793. 28:14just make it look that easy so you know
  794. 28:18once once people's relationship to their
  795. 28:23bodies goes insane once they lose I mean
  796. 28:25because that's everything about being
  797. 28:26human is your relationship to your body
  798. 28:28once your relationship to your body goat
  799. 28:30goes off the rails everything goes off
  800. 28:32the rails and that is why we're starting
  801. 28:33to see stuff coming up that just speaks
  802. 28:35into the madness of the moment we're
  803. 28:37and there's a guy who was a the Ulrich
  804. 28:41Klopfer his name was he died September
  805. 28:443rd and he was an abortionist in Indiana
  806. 28:47he lived but he had a place in Illinois
  807. 28:49and they went to his house and they
  808. 28:53found mm medically preserved fetal
  809. 28:58remains found on his property that's
  810. 29:00like the Gosnell case he was keeping
  811. 29:01souvenirs he and he preserving them
  812. 29:04right these are medically preserved
  813. 29:05fetus fetal remains that he was keeping
  814. 29:08on his property he performed abortions
  815. 29:11in Indiana with women's health clinics
  816. 29:13he lost his license the state suspended
  817. 29:16his license in 2015 after two people
  818. 29:18accused him of performing abortions on
  819. 29:20thirteen-year-old girls without properly
  820. 29:22submitting records to the state's Health
  821. 29:24Department so you know but think about
  822. 29:27it for a minute like you're kind of
  823. 29:28shocked when you hear that when I first
  824. 29:29heard it I thought wow that's really
  825. 29:30shocking and ugly but why is it shocking
  826. 29:33you know a doctor a guy who it is a
  827. 29:36medically trained doctor can do pretty
  828. 29:39much what he wants right
  829. 29:40that's a job that's in demand and people
  830. 29:42can do it and people can choose the kind
  831. 29:45of doctoring they want to do if you
  832. 29:48choose to be an abortionist you do it
  833. 29:50because you like it I mean you could
  834. 29:51make the argument that you think it's an
  835. 29:53important thing that has to be required
  836. 29:55but there are lots of important things
  837. 29:57you know treating cancer is important
  838. 29:58treating all kinds of diseases is
  839. 30:00important why do you choose abortion
  840. 30:01because somehow you'll like it you'll
  841. 30:03like doing that who likes doing that you
  842. 30:05know I mean it's like it's it's a kind
  843. 30:08of it's a kind of sickness right and I
  844. 30:11think that it's just Manan story out I
  845. 30:16mean I'm I hesitate to tell the story
  846. 30:18it's so horrific
  847. 30:19there was a Missouri tried to put a ban
  848. 30:21on abortions at or after eight weeks of
  849. 30:25pregnancy right but a federal judge has
  850. 30:27temporarily blocked that from being
  851. 30:29implemented because he says he thinks
  852. 30:31it's unconstitutional and he says it's
  853. 30:33going to take a while to work out and
  854. 30:35and similar laws have been struck down
  855. 30:37in North Dakota and Iowa however the
  856. 30:39judge allowed one portion of the policy
  857. 30:41to take effect a ban on abortions based
  858. 30:44solely on race sex or diagnosis
  859. 30:47indicating the potential for Down
  860. 30:49syndrome in other words if you find out
  861. 30:51as a
  862. 30:51girl you want a boy you're not allowed
  863. 30:52to have an abortion how they can tell
  864. 30:54that's your reason I don't know Planned
  865. 30:56Parenthood vowed to fight to block that
  866. 30:58portion of the law to a Planned
  867. 31:01Parenthood chief medical officer for
  868. 31:03Planned Parenthood of the st. Louis
  869. 31:05region Colleen McNicholas said although
  870. 31:07we're grateful today's ruling allows us
  871. 31:10to provide care to some Missourians we
  872. 31:12will continue to defend the truth every
  873. 31:14reason to have an abortion is a valid
  874. 31:17reason so there's a numerous this is
  875. 31:19from life news there's a new report that
  876. 31:22people were kind of monitoring reddit
  877. 31:25you know a social media place social
  878. 31:28media site and people are talking about
  879. 31:30a fetish for getting pregnant and having
  880. 31:34abortions it's a fetish for sexual
  881. 31:38fetish if my girlfriend enjoys her
  882. 31:41pregnancy there's a quote from Reddit my
  883. 31:42joy friend my girlfriend enjoys her
  884. 31:44pregnancies and she a joy enjoys the
  885. 31:46abortion her preferred David to abort is
  886. 31:48between 20 and 24 weeks of gestation
  887. 31:51another person wrote that this girl is
  888. 31:54with a male partner who was just like
  889. 31:56her into breeding and they have been
  890. 31:58practicing their fetish for quite a few
  891. 32:00abortions and you read that you think
  892. 32:02like oh my god this is people have a
  893. 32:04sexual fetish for killing their fetuses
  894. 32:07but why not why not everybody enjoy
  895. 32:09something some people enjoy serial
  896. 32:11killing some people just enjoy cereal
  897. 32:13what's the difference what's the
  898. 32:14difference once you lose the idea of
  899. 32:17human life is a spiritual enterprise
  900. 32:19based in material fact once you want
  901. 32:21lose the idea of human life as a
  902. 32:24spiritual enterprise located in material
  903. 32:28fact you have lost everything and you've
  904. 32:30gone mad you're going saying and so this
  905. 32:33is a a country a society that has gone
  906. 32:36insane in many ways and one of the
  907. 32:37things we have to remember is that a a
  908. 32:40community a society a country a nation a
  909. 32:43world can go mad and be perfectly happy
  910. 32:47while it commits 50 million abortions a
  911. 32:50year and you can do it we've done it I
  912. 32:52got to say goodbye to Facebook and
  913. 32:54YouTube come on over to Daly wire.com
  914. 32:56and subscribe and then you can be in the
  915. 32:59mailbag you can get the leftist tears
  916. 33:01tumblr it's ten bucks a month a hundred
  917. 33:04bucks for
  918. 33:04the year and the most important thing is
  919. 33:07we get your money so come on over to
  920. 33:09daily wire calm you know we're talking
  921. 33:17really what we're really talking about
  922. 33:19to some degrees teleology the idea that
  923. 33:21things have a purpose and when you work
  924. 33:23into that purpose you get you get it
  925. 33:26right and listen you know I the Catholic
  926. 33:29Church works on teleology when it comes
  927. 33:30to sex and they say sex is for having
  928. 33:32babies is for procreating therefore you
  929. 33:34shouldn't use any birth control and
  930. 33:36therefore gay relationships are always
  931. 33:38wrong I have a different view of
  932. 33:40teleology I believe that sometimes if
  933. 33:42you're a person who can't reproduce if
  934. 33:45you're a person who can only love
  935. 33:47another person of the own your own sex
  936. 33:50I believe the teleology according to
  937. 33:52Aristotle permits you to do something to
  938. 33:55use something for a good purpose
  939. 33:58that is outside the immediate purpose so
  940. 34:00the example I always give is if I'm
  941. 34:02carrying my computer and someone tries
  942. 34:04to mug me and I hit him over the head
  943. 34:05with my computer that's not what the
  944. 34:07computer is for but that's a perfectly
  945. 34:08valid Telos for the computer so there
  946. 34:11were many different ways to do this but
  947. 34:13you have to do it you have to do it at
  948. 34:16some level because you can't know what a
  949. 34:17thing is good if a thing is good if you
  950. 34:20don't know what you're supposed to do
  951. 34:21with it you can't know if your life is
  952. 34:22good if you don't know what it's for
  953. 34:24you can't know if your body is good if
  954. 34:26you don't know what it's for you all
  955. 34:27everything you know CS Lewis said you
  956. 34:30even a corkscrew
  957. 34:31you can't know if it's a good corkscrew
  958. 34:32until you know what it's for and so this
  959. 34:35is the teleological way to look at it
  960. 34:36and this is why you know the idea that
  961. 34:39you humanize things by using the moral
  962. 34:41sense has been abandoned by the left
  963. 34:43because it's so hard it's so difficult
  964. 34:45to do and it restricts you and it means
  965. 34:46you can't do everything the one that
  966. 34:48always bothers me more than anything is
  967. 34:50race the left as far as I'm concerned is
  968. 34:53now operating at the level of a
  969. 34:54toothless Klansmen you know one of those
  970. 34:57dumb guys in a CD pool hall who talks
  971. 35:00about race and everything is race and
  972. 35:02all that yeah a bit the blacks and all
  973. 35:04it's all about the blacks and it's all I
  974. 35:05mean they're just doing it with the
  975. 35:06whites and they think that makes them
  976. 35:07better to me it makes them exactly the
  977. 35:09same I in my imagination that New York
  978. 35:11Times all the left is just a toothless
  979. 35:13guy who meets in the at night with a
  980. 35:16mask on
  981. 35:17sheet on his head talking about race
  982. 35:19because thinking about human beings as
  983. 35:22entirely as what their race is really
  984. 35:26really even a little about what their
  985. 35:27race is it's degrading it's degrading to
  986. 35:29you it's degrading to you and you know
  987. 35:31what like I don't do it I don't do it
  988. 35:34when I say that I don't mean oh I'm like
  989. 35:36pristine I have not a racist bone in my
  990. 35:38body I don't mean that at all I don't
  991. 35:39mean that at all I it's it's in the same
  992. 35:41way I lust after women but I don't go
  993. 35:44after them because I'm true to my wife I
  994. 35:46have all kinds of crazy thoughts what
  995. 35:48kinds of thoughts that I don't want I
  996. 35:50don't act on them I said them aside I
  997. 35:52live according to my lights not
  998. 35:54according to my flesh I don't live
  999. 35:56according to the dictates of my body I
1000. 35:57live according to my moral lights
1001. 35:59because that is to me that makes me a
1002. 36:01human being so now as the the fallout
1003. 36:05from the last debate has been really
1004. 36:07fascinating the last Democrat debate
1005. 36:09they're all going after Joe Biden they
  1006. 36:10sense he's weak
  1007. 36:11they sense he can't win he's too goofy
1008. 36:14at this point he can't remember anything
  1009. 36:15he can't make a sentence he can't make
1010. 36:18an English sentence and so now they're
1011. 36:20going after him in terms of race okay do
1012. 36:24we have knucklehead row set up because I
1013. 36:26think we should start talking about this
1014. 36:28at knucklehead row the op-ed page of the
  1015. 36:31New York Times
  1016. 36:35[Music]
1017. 36:42so Charles blow the most aptly named
1018. 36:44writer on knucklehead row and one of the
1019. 36:46chief knuckleheads because he blows he
1020. 36:50wrote a piece Joe Biden is problematic
1021. 36:52and he talks about the moment in the
  1022. 36:54debate which I noticed too because I had
1023. 36:56a totally different reaction to it the
1024. 36:59moderator asked him the cast him a
1025. 37:02question and she quoted something he had
1026. 37:04said in 1975 and when he was asked how
1027. 37:07to deal with segregation in schools and
  1028. 37:09he said I don't feel responsible Biden
  1029. 37:11said back in 75 I don't feel responsible
1030. 37:13for the sins of my father and
  1031. 37:14grandfather I feel responsible for what
1032. 37:16the situation is today for the sins of
1033. 37:18my own generation and I'll be damned if
1034. 37:20I feel responsible to pay for what
  1035. 37:21happened 300 years ago and the
1036. 37:24questioner said you said that some 40
1037. 37:26years ago but as you stand here tonight
1038. 37:27what responsibility do you think that
1039. 37:30Americans need to take to repair the
1040. 37:32legacy of slavery in our country and I
1041. 37:34immediately thought just saying no Joe
1042. 37:36say none none because none of the people
1043. 37:39who held slaves is here none of the
1044. 37:41people who were slaves is here we have
1045. 37:43to deal with the moment he what he said
1046. 37:45before was true but instead he made that
1047. 37:47stupid comment about teaching people to
1048. 37:49use the radio and the record player
1049. 37:51remember it made him sound like it was
1050. 37:52150 years old instead of only 125 years
1051. 37:56old and he said you know we've got to
1052. 37:58learn teach teach black parents
1053. 38:00basically to go home and teach their
1054. 38:02children things so Charles blow says his
  1055. 38:04language belies a particular mindset one
  1056. 38:07of a liberal of a particular vintage in
1057. 38:09other words he's too old on the issue of
1058. 38:10race it is paternalistic and it pities
1059. 38:13it sees deficiency in much the same way
  1060. 38:15that the conservative does I don't know
  1061. 38:17who he's talking about there but I guess
1062. 38:19it's the conservative of Charles blows
1063. 38:20imagination he says it responds as
  1064. 38:22Savior rather than with savagery that's
1065. 38:25what we need in this country we need
1066. 38:26more savagery the thing we are missing
1067. 38:28in this country is savagery so he takes
  1068. 38:30after him and it's just it's funny that
1069. 38:33he blames this on age because I think he
1070. 38:35was telling Joe was telling the truth
1071. 38:36back then and is lying now he's lying
1072. 38:39now and he says so Biden is trying to
1073. 38:41pick it up he's trying to relate to
1074. 38:43black people which is always hilarious
1075. 38:44and he he's at a pool and he talks about
1076. 38:48an inner-city pool and he talks about
1077. 38:50how he was a lifeguard at this pool
1078. 38:52and he faced down the evil gang member
1079. 38:56corn popped the evil corn pop and here
1080. 38:58is Joe telling that story about his life
1081. 39:00and corn pop was a bad dude and he ran a
1082. 39:04bunch of bad boys and I did yeah and
1083. 39:08back in those days and shot things have
1084. 39:10changed one of the things had to use if
1085. 39:12you use pomade in your hair you had to
1086. 39:14wear a bathing cap and so he's up on the
1087. 39:17board would enlist him I said hey Esther
1088. 39:19you off the board or I'll come up and
1089. 39:22drag you off well he came off and he
1090. 39:25said I'll meet you outside my car this
1091. 39:27was mostly these were all public housing
1092. 39:29behind it my car there was a gate on
1093. 39:31here I parked my car outside the gate
1094. 39:34and I said I'll be waiting for you late
1095. 39:37burns three guys and straight razors not
  1096. 39:40a joke there's a guy named Bill
1097. 39:42right-mouse the only white guy and he
1098. 39:44did all the pools he was the mechanic
1099. 39:47and I said what am I going to do he said
1100. 39:49come down here in the basement where
1101. 39:51mechanics where all the pool builder is
1102. 39:54you know the chain that used to be a
1103. 39:56chain that went across the deep end and
  1104. 39:58he cut off a six-foot length of chain
1105. 40:00you fold up he said you walk out with
1106. 40:03that chain and you walked in a car and
1107. 40:05say you may cut me man but I'm gonna
1108. 40:07wrap this chain around your head that's
  1109. 40:12Joe
1110. 40:12he gets the guy the guy is I hate to see
1111. 40:15him lose because he's gonna leave all
1112. 40:17the humor out of the Democrat line but
1113. 40:19that he went out so he went out to corn
1114. 40:20pop the evil corn pop and he apologized
1115. 40:23he didn't apologize for telling to get
1116. 40:26off the board he said he apologized for
1117. 40:28calling him Esther Williams who was a
1118. 40:29famous swimmer in movies and that was
1119. 40:32the end of the fight so there's Joe
1120. 40:33relating to black people he's gonna need
1121. 40:35to do it he is the most popular Democrat
1122. 40:38among black people because they consider
1123. 40:39him and how high black voters because
1124. 40:41they consider him an ally because he was
1125. 40:43with Barack Obama and obviously he and
1126. 40:46Bob Amma got along it was a loyal loyal
1127. 40:49vice-president to Obama although Obama
1128. 40:51has not endorsed him and I personally
1129. 40:53think he's being hung out to dry and
1130. 40:55he's done for but we will see still
1131. 40:58again it is an amazing thing to watch
1132. 41:01the left they have been doing this now
1133. 41:03for over a decade to reduce themselves
1134. 41:06the level of Klansmen by their absolute
1135. 41:08obsession with race which is not at all
1136. 41:11not at all taking the human body and
1137. 41:14transforming it through the moral view
1138. 41:17if you have a moral view you understand
1139. 41:18that you have to love your neighbor as
1140. 41:20yourself you understand that you have to
1141. 41:21treat people equally there you know they
  1142. 41:24think that they're fighting racism but
1143. 41:26they actually are just continuing racism
1144. 41:29I'm gonna have to wind down here because
1145. 41:31we're running out of time but I want to
1146. 41:33go to a final reflection which is still
1147. 41:35in the same kind of vein as what I've
1148. 41:37been talking about in the Wall Street
1149. 41:39Journal last week they had a an op-ed by
1150. 41:42a guy named Stanley Goldfarb he was
1151. 41:44associate dean of curriculum at the
  1152. 41:46University of Pennsylvania's Medical
1153. 41:48School and he says a new wave he's still
1154. 41:51at the medical school this is a new wave
  1155. 41:52of educational specialists is
  1156. 41:54increasingly influencing medical
1157. 41:56education they emphasize social justice
1158. 41:59as it relates to healthcare only
1159. 42:01tangentially he says that they emphasize
1160. 42:03social justice that relates to
  1161. 42:04healthcare only tangentially this
1162. 42:06approach is the result of a progressive
1163. 42:08mindset that abhors hierarchy of any
1164. 42:10kind and the social elitism associated
1165. 42:12with the medical profession in
1166. 42:13particular these educators focus on
  1167. 42:16eliminating health disparities and
1168. 42:17ensuring that the next generation of
1169. 42:19physicians is well equipped to deal with
1170. 42:21cultural diversity which are worthwhile
1171. 42:23goals but teaching these issues is
1172. 42:25coming at the expense of rigorous
1173. 42:26training in medical science the prospect
1174. 42:29of this new politicized medical
1175. 42:31education should worry all Americans
  1176. 42:33it says meanwhile oncologists
1177. 42:36cardiologists surgeons and other medical
1178. 42:38specialists are in short supply the
1179. 42:41specialists who are produced must master
1180. 42:42more crucial material even though less
1181. 42:44and less of their medical school
1182. 42:45education is devoted to basic scientific
1183. 42:48knowledge if this country needs more gun
1184. 42:50control and climate change activists
1185. 42:52medical schools are not the right place
1186. 42:54to produce him well the left went nuts
1187. 42:57and the medical people went nuts on
1188. 42:59Twitter and they piled on they distorted
1189. 43:02his argument according to The Wall
1190. 43:03Street Journal they said that he
  1191. 43:05believed that doctors shouldn't have
1192. 43:07opinions about political issues but
1193. 43:08that's not what he said
  1194. 43:09he said that those issues shouldn't
1195. 43:11interfere with the scientific and
1196. 43:12clinical training essential to producing
1197. 43:15doctors who can serve patients
1198. 43:18the most disappointing response came
1199. 43:20from Penn medical school which Dean
1200. 43:23Larry Jameson J Larry Jameson and senior
1201. 43:25vice dean Suzanne Rose sent the letter
1202. 43:27to students and faculty that said this
1203. 43:30please know that the views expressed by
1204. 43:32dr. Goldfarb in this column reflect his
1205. 43:35personal opinions and do not reflect the
1206. 43:37values of the Perelman School of
1207. 43:39Medicine we deeply value inclusion and
1208. 43:41diversity as fundamental to effective
  1209. 43:44health care delivery creativity
1210. 43:46discovery and lifelong learning we are
  1211. 43:48committed to ensuring a rigorous and
  1212. 43:50comprehensive medical education that
1213. 43:51includes examination of the many social
1214. 43:53and cultural issues that influence
1215. 43:55health from violence within communities
1216. 43:57to changes in the environment around us
  1217. 44:00so a complete fantasy a complete
1218. 44:03cloud-based idea where you float around
1219. 44:06and you worry about what your gender is
1220. 44:08and what your pronoun is and what the
1221. 44:10weather's like and who's you know what
1222. 44:11corporation is destroying the weather
1223. 44:13and don't fix the cancer that the guy
1224. 44:16came in with and don't listen to the
1225. 44:18complaints that he has and don't look at
1226. 44:20the symptoms and learn everything you
1227. 44:22can the disconnect the disconnect
1228. 44:26between the physical and the moral the
1229. 44:28disconnect between the physical and
1230. 44:29moral makes people insane that is the
1231. 44:33way it is a way to the way to use your
1232. 44:36animal life to its fullest is to apply
1233. 44:38more out human morality to the animal
