2. 0:02prison for the murder of his pregnant
3. 0:04wife Lacy Scott Peterson is breaking his
4. 0:07silence I wish I could say I was
5. 0:10Stronger but all that stuff did you take
6. 0:12a toll on me in the new peacock docu
7. 0:14series face to face the 51-year-old
8. 0:17speaks out from behind Prison Walls
9. 0:20arguing police ignored critical evidence
10. 0:22that exonerates him and describes in
11. 0:25disbelief the moment he was convicted I
12. 0:28was still expecting to go home that day
13. 0:30I was staggered by it Peterson was
14. 0:32sentenced to death in 2004 for the 2002
15. 0:35murders of his wife Lacy and their
16. 0:37unborn son Connor after their bodies
17. 0:40washed up in San Francisco bay near
18. 0:42where he said he'd gone fishing months
19. 0:44earlier there's certainly times that I
20. 0:46become a wreck at times emotional
21. 0:49Peterson pushing back on the portrayal
22. 0:51of him as an uncaring and detached
23. 0:53husband I was so angry at the media
24. 0:56because the reports just weren't factual
25. 0:59I strived to show anyo in the cor cuz I
26. 1:01didn't want to you know see them break
27. 1:03me he also speaks out about his former
28. 1:06girlfriend Amber fry whose testimony was
29. 1:09crucial to establishing a motive they
30. 1:11said that you killed Lacy because you
31. 1:13didn't want to be married and you didn't
32. 1:15want to be a father that's so offensive
33. 1:18and so disgusting I certainly regret
34. 1:21cheating on Lacy why did you keep
35. 1:23talking to Amber fry after Lacy
36. 1:26disappeared I was searching for my
37. 1:28family stay in contact back with Amber I
38. 1:31thought and she would get into the
39. 1:34picture alcate ruin the search in 2020
40. 1:38Peterson's death sentence was reduced to
41. 1:40life without parole now backed by the LA
42. 1:42Innocence Project he's petitioning for a
43. 1:45new trial arguing it was burglars
44. 1:48robbing the home across the street who
45. 1:49killed Lacy I believe that Lacy went
46. 1:53over there to see what was going on
47. 1:56that's so there's renewed there's
48. 1:59renewed there's the Innocence Project so
49. 2:01now what's next for the case so
50. 2:03Peterson's new legal team hopes that new
51. 2:06DNA testing and evidence could lead to
52. 2:08this new trial key here the court has
53. 2:10said that they will allow this piece of
54. 2:12duct tape that was found on Lacy during
55. 2:14the autopsy to be tested it never has
56. 2:17been before and Peterson's legal team
57. 2:20says they have witnesses that says they
58. 2:22saw Lacy walking their dog before Scott
59. 2:25left the home that day which would rule
60. 2:26him out as a suspect no surprise all
61. 2:28these years later the prose says this is
62. 2:30a fishing Expedition yeah yeah okay well
