  1. 0:00you want to go here well then listen up
  2. 0:01because today I'm going to be giving you
  3. 0:03guys some rapid fire tips to absolutely
  4. 0:05demolish the reading and writing section
  5. 0:06of the digital sat because it really
  6. 0:08doesn't need to be this hard so let's
  7. 0:10get right to it first everything you
  8. 0:13need to know is right there in the
  9. 0:15passage one of the ways that college
  10. 0:16board tries to trick you is by giving
  11. 0:18you passages over topics and Concepts
  12. 0:20that you probably have some previous
  13. 0:22knowledge on so when you're walking into
  14. 0:23the testing here make sure that you're
  15. 0:24leaving all of your expertise on all the
  16. 0:26literature you know at the door when
  17. 0:28you're reading through your passages
  18. 0:30them as if you've never even heard of
  19. 0:31the topic before and when you're
  20. 0:32answering those questions make sure that
  21. 0:34you're justifying your answer choices
  22. 0:36using only facts and information found
  23. 0:38in the text second the SAT is not
  24. 0:40subjective which means that there is
  25. 0:42only one 100% correct answer to every
  26. 0:45problem you have to keep in mind that
  27. 0:47this is a standardized test taken by
  28. 0:48millions of people each year and before
  29. 0:50you guys start asking me in the comments
  30. 0:52well how do I know which answer choice
  31. 0:53is right let me teach you guys how you
  32. 0:55can quickly figure this out now you've
  33. 0:57probably been told like a million times
  34. 0:59before that oh if you just just spend
  35. 1:00more time reading the passage than
  36. 1:02actually answering the questions and
  37. 1:03you'll magically get every single
  38. 1:05question correct wrong here's what
  39. 1:07you're going to do instead as you're
  40. 1:08reading through a passage mentally and
  41. 1:11you can also physically do this
  42. 1:12paraphrase the text in your own words
  43. 1:16what you're going to want to do is as
  44. 1:17you're reading through that text
  45. 1:19highlight those words you guys can
  46. 1:20actually annotate in Blue Book as you're
  47. 1:23reading through a quickly chot down oh
  48. 1:25this means this this means this so when
  49. 1:27you're answering the questions it's so
  50. 1:29much easier on your part doing this not
  51. 1:31only helps you to get the right answer
  52. 1:32at the end of the day but it will also
  53. 1:34keep you actively focused on the passage
  54. 1:37once you've PA phrase the text it is now
  55. 1:39time to find the right answer instead of
  56. 1:41confusing yourself by going through each
  57. 1:43answer choice and saying okay well this
  58. 1:45seems right but this also seems right
  59. 1:47literally stop doing this instead go
  60. 1:49through each answer choice and ask
  61. 1:50yourself what is wrong with this answer
  62. 1:53does it stray or deviate away from the
  63. 1:55point being asked in any way does it
  64. 1:57talk about a part of the text completely
  65. 1:59irrelevant to the question does it even
  66. 2:01relate to the question being asked the
  67. 2:03hardest part of approaching these
  68. 2:04reading questions is honestly just
  69. 2:06trying to figure out what the heck
  70. 2:07you're reading in the first place but if
  71. 2:09you can do that then finding the correct
  72. 2:10answer is as easy as clicking like on
  73. 2:12this video I'm not even trying to be
  74. 2:13Coury here but genuinely if you guys are
  75. 2:15enjoying this video so far and getting
  76. 2:17something out of it then please take a
  77. 2:18second to like this video it really
  78. 2:20helps a lot and also comment down below
  79. 2:22if you guys enjoy content like this so
  80. 2:24you guys can see more of it on this
  81. 2:25channel and let's get right back to it
  82. 2:27now before you click off because oh the
  83. 2:29grammar ction is so easy wrong you're
  84. 2:31about to be humble because the one thing
  85. 2:33you think is so freaking easy is the one
  86. 2:35thing keeping you away from that desired
  87. 2:37score of yours but don't let that scare
  88. 2:39you away because just like the math
  89. 2:40section the writing section is something
  90. 2:42that you guys can take complete control
  91. 2:44of so here's what you need to know
  92. 2:46grammar rules this means knowing the
  93. 2:48difference between a colon and a
  94. 2:50semicolon knowing when to use a dash a
  95. 2:52comma all that good stuff grammar rules
  96. 2:55are something that we all think we're
  97. 2:56miraculously good at but trust me when I
  98. 2:59say that on the sat you cannot just be
  99. 3:01throwing around commas wherever you want
  100. 3:03now if you want me to make a video
  101. 3:04strictly on the grammar worldes if this
  102. 3:05video gets to 300 likes then I'll get
  103. 3:07right on it next are your transition
  104. 3:09words so this is everything from
  105. 3:11similarly Sim Sim Sim similarly
  106. 3:15similarly okay I'm just confusing myself
  107. 3:18here similarly
  108. 3:20sorry next are your transition words
  109. 3:23like when to use meanwhile moreover thus
  110. 3:26similarly you name it next are your
  111. 3:28conventions of Standard English
  112. 3:31basically this just means knowing how to
  113. 3:33grammatically correct a sentence and
  114. 3:35finally rhetorical synthesis which are
  115. 3:37probably some of the easiest questions
  116. 3:38you're going to find on this section
  117. 3:40these are the questions where College
  118. 3:41Board is going to give you like a bullet
  119. 3:43list of a bunch of random things that
  120. 3:45you do not need to know little side tip
  121. 3:47here do not read the freaking notes
  122. 3:49literally all you have to do is look at
  123. 3:51the question see what it's asking you
  124. 3:52all you have to do is match with the
  125. 3:54question it's asking to the answer
  126. 3:55choice so if it's asking for a
  127. 3:57similarity then obviously just choose
  128. 3:59the answer choice has the similarity if
  129. 4:00it's asking for a difference I mean you
  130. 4:02get my point for even more tips and
  131. 4:04resources definitely make sure to join
  132. 4:06the study cave Discord server which can
  133. 4:08be found in the description this is a
  134. 4:10space where you guys can communicate
  135. 4:11with others about all things sat thank
  136. 4:13you guys so much for watching subscribe
