4. 0:07were pulled off their plane right before
5. 0:09they were about to leave Rio for the
6. 0:12u.s. Ryan Lochte and his teammates have
7. 0:14been causing some serious confusion and
8. 0:16we are about to clear it up so there's
9. 0:19still an ongoing investigation happening
10. 0:21surrounding Ryan and his teammates ganar
11. 0:23events jack conger and Jimmy Fagan the
12. 0:26swimmers claim if they were driving home
13. 0:28Sunday morning when their taxi was
14. 0:30stopped by individuals posing as armed
15. 0:32police officers who demanded the
16. 0:35athletes money and other personal
17. 0:36belongings however Rio police couldn't
18. 0:39find any evidence to back things up not
19. 0:41the taxi driver not any witnesses plus
20. 0:44there are many inconsistencies between
21. 0:46stories Brian first said that after
22. 0:49being pulled over by one man with a
23. 0:51police badge a gun was cocked to his
24. 0:54forehead forcing him to get on the
25. 0:56ground and then during another interview
26. 0:58it was later said that the boys had
27. 1:00stopped at a gas station to use the
28. 1:01bathroom there when allegedly the
29. 1:03robbery occurred with a few men and a
30. 1:06gun was pointed in simply Ryan's general
31. 1:09direction authorities say that none of
32. 1:11the swimmers called police after the
33. 1:13incident officials only began
34. 1:15investigating after seeing reports on
35. 1:16social media where Ryan's mother was
36. 1:18discussing the robbery with all the
37. 1:20rumors going around a Brazilian judge
38. 1:22ordered Ryan and Jimmy's passports
39. 1:25seized preventing them from leaving
40. 1:27Brazil however by that point Ryan at
41. 1:30least just him had already arrived home
42. 1:33in the United States but now just last
43. 1:35night Jack and gunner were in their
44. 1:37seats on a plane in Brazil ready for
45. 1:41takeoff back to the US when they were
46. 1:43removed and detained for questioning an
47. 1:46Olympic Committee spokesperson stated
48. 1:48that the local authorities don't want to
49. 1:49hold the swimmers too long you just want
50. 1:51to gain more information on what
51. 1:53actually happened that night the two
52. 1:56were released overnight with the
53. 1:58understanding that their discussions
54. 1:59would definitely continue
55. 2:01day and just to make matters much worse
56. 2:04and way more controversial this morning
57. 2:07ABC News obtained a video showing Ryan
58. 2:10and his teammates breaking down a
59. 2:13bathroom door at a gas station urinating
60. 2:16on walls and fighting security around
61. 2:19the exact same time that the alleged
62. 2:22robbery occurred so what does this mean
63. 2:24that the whole armed robbery thing was
64. 2:26actually completely made up and it was
65. 2:29really just a fight with the security
66. 2:31guard because you were vandalizing a gas
67. 2:33station I guess we'll just have to see
68. 2:35but regardless of what is being said
69. 2:38Ryan keeps standing by his original
70. 2:41plans he says quote I wouldn't make up a
71. 2:43story like this nor would the others as
72. 2:45a matter of fact we all feel it makes us
73. 2:47look bad we're victims in this and more
74. 2:50happy that we're safe legal expert Troy
75. 2:53Slaton told E news that if Ryan was
76. 2:55convicted of making any materially false
77. 2:57petition or fraudulent statements or
78. 3:00representation to the FBI then he faces
79. 3:03up to five years in federal prison
80. 3:05however it was also mentioned that
81. 3:07unless he actually wants to try to fight
82. 3:09this all the way there will most likely
83. 3:11just be a deal with prosecutors alright
