- 0:00today we're going to be talking about
- 0:01the rust stability bunker i'm going to
- 0:03be going over what a stability bunker is
- 0:05how you can create them how you get out
- 0:06of them how you get in in them and how
- 0:08they work in general i've seen a lot of
- 0:10people commenting on their videos
- 0:12wondering about these things they're
- 0:13talking about how they're stuck in their
- 0:14base and this is hopefully going to
- 0:16clear all of this up this should work on
- 0:19the console version rust or the pc
- 0:21version rust so this is one of those
- 0:22videos that hits both markets which is
- 0:24always good so first off the base
- 0:26concept for stability bunker is you have
- 0:28something like this
- 0:30so you get two raised foundations one
- 0:32lowered foundation and then lowered
- 0:34foundation next to it the way a
- 0:36stability bunker works is you put up a
- 0:38half wall like this
- 0:40and then on that half wall you're gonna
- 0:42put a triangle floor so if this wasn't a
- 0:45build server you'd have to upgrade the
- 0:46floor but yeah whatever
- 0:48now what we're gonna need to do for this
- 0:50is we're gonna actually need to place
- 0:51down atc so let me just go ahead and
- 0:53create that real quick all right so now
- 0:55we've created a tc we put it down which
- 0:57means now you can demolish this wall
- 1:00when you demolish the wall this bunker
- 1:02right here this floor piece right here
- 1:05goes away and now all of a sudden you've
- 1:06got access to these two triangles so if
- 1:09you're going to build a base this would
- 1:10be your entry point one of these
- 1:11triangles and then everything else is
- 1:13just walled in so the way it's gonna
- 1:15work now is if someone tries to get into
- 1:16your base
- 1:18they're gonna get in they're gonna come
- 1:19here they're gonna be greeted by this
- 1:20floor tile right and if you're inside
- 1:22the base you can blow the floor tile up
- 1:24they can drop down then they could raid
- 1:26your base you wouldn't want to do that
- 1:27if there's a raider but yeah that's
- 1:29that's the basis of a stability bunker
- 1:31there's a bunch of different ways that
- 1:32you can design them but let's just let's
- 1:35go over this one more time here so the
- 1:37way a stability bunker works is you've
- 1:39got this triangle floor and if you
- 1:40notice you can't place it on anything
- 1:42right it's impossible to place until
- 1:45you put down this half wall with the
- 1:48half wall down you can now put down your
- 1:50floor triangle in addition to that with
- 1:52the half wall down you can actually put
- 1:53down this full wall which makes it an
- 1:55actual stability bunker that we're
- 1:57dealing with here always make sure you
- 1:58flip
- 2:00so now let's go ahead and let's put this
- 2:03down
- 2:04and now as you can see if you rated
- 2:05through this door so let's say you
- 2:07raided through the door you come in here
- 2:09you can't get through you've got to blow
- 2:11up this floor tile right here and yes
- 2:13you can jackhammer or do anything like
- 2:15that but you basically got to blow
- 2:17through that floor tile just to get into
- 2:18the base we're going to destroy that
- 2:20when we destroy this half wall there's
- 2:22nothing for the floor tile to anchor to
- 2:24so it just destroys itself it's the same
- 2:26concept as if i blow up let's just let's
- 2:29go outside and let's just do this on a
- 2:32base piece so it's taking advantage of
- 2:33the fact that if you knock down a
- 2:35foundation let's say the things attached
- 2:37to it are going to disappear the same
- 2:39thing works for walls and everything
- 2:40like that so that's why it works because
- 2:43a floor tile cannot attach to a
- 2:44foundation so that half wall is the only
- 2:47thing the floor tile can attach to and
- 2:49if you keep that half wall as twig when
- 2:51you log in you can just blow it out with
- 2:53a simple
- 2:54rock
- 2:56so yeah obviously one thing to remember
- 2:58with stability bunkers you always need a
- 3:00sleeping bag in here when you put down a
- 3:02stability bunker you're gonna be on the
- 3:03outside of the bunker at least that's
- 3:05how i always do it i i don't think
- 3:07there's a way you can do it otherwise
- 3:09but yeah you put down your half wall put
- 3:11your floor tile on top of that log off
- 3:13if you log in and you're dead it's not a
- 3:15big deal as long as stability bunker's
- 3:17still around because all you've got to
- 3:18do is just go back here and you can get
- 3:19all sorts of loot the one thing to keep
- 3:21in mind when you're building a stability
- 3:22bunker though is because you've got all
- 3:24these walls here
- 3:25if you want to make a bigger base or if
- 3:27you want more stuff behind the stability
- 3:29bunker you've got to do that before you
- 3:31create the bunker before you wall
- 3:33everything in this should be pretty
- 3:35obvious but every now and then people
- 3:36run into that issue and they'll comment
- 3:39about it
- 3:40so yeah you can well that's not how you
- 3:42do it but you can put in some walls like
- 3:43that
- 3:44now you've got a nice little 2x2
- 3:46stability bunker so yeah that's the
- 3:49basis of a stability bunker and again
- 3:50all you've got to do put down the wall
- 3:52it's upgraded because this is on a build
- 3:55server but really let's so yeah you're
- 3:57going to keep this piece as twig because
- 3:59twig's the easiest thing to destroy and
- 4:01then you just put your floor tile on top
- 4:02of that and you can upgrade it if you
- 4:04want also when you upgrade because i've
- 4:06missed this a few other videos these
- 4:08base areas right here you also want to
- 4:10upgrade them too to whatever this floor
- 4:11tile is because if someone wanted to
- 4:14raid a stability bunker they could
- 4:15simply blow through here this foundation
- 4:17right here
- 4:18you blow through that and now you get
- 4:20access to this wall which you can blow
- 4:21up and now you get access to
- 4:23the main foundation so you've always got
- 4:25to keep that in mind
- 4:27if you want a really good stability
- 4:29bunker you should probably upgrade these
- 4:30pieces too
- 4:32probably metal would be good enough but
- 4:34yeah that's uh that's a stability bunker
- 4:37so let's just go ahead and create one
- 4:39real quick right here just so you guys
- 4:40get the idea so if you're creating a
- 4:42real
- 4:43basic stability bunker
- 4:45two raised foundations two lowered
- 4:47foundations
- 4:49put your walls in let's assume i've done
- 4:50that you put your half wall in assume
- 4:52this is twig it's not twig because i'm
- 4:54on a build server then all you got to do
- 4:56is put that twig base down and put this
- 4:58down and now you're good your bunker
- 5:00should be sealed because we're assuming
- 5:02that you've got all these walls in there
- 5:03right
- 5:06and that's a stability bunker so
- 5:08hopefully those of you who are confused
- 5:10about how stability bunkers work
- 5:12now
- 5:13understand how they work uh if you have
- 5:15any questions comments anything like
- 5:16that you're always welcome to comment
- 5:18down below i get to some of them i don't
- 5:20get to others i'll try my best to answer
- 5:22everybody's comments and if you have
- 5:23something that's too hard for me to
- 5:25answer in a simple comment i'll try and
- 5:28make a video on it so yeah that's
- 5:30stability bunkers in a nutshell thank
- 5:31you so much for watching if this video
- 5:33helped make sure you hit the like button
- 5:34and if you want more videos like this
- 5:36hit subscribe because i'm always making
- 5:37a ton of rust content whether it's for
- 5:39the console version rust or the pc
- 5:40version rust there's probably something
- 5:42that you can learn from it so until next
- 5:44time peace
