- 0:03Hey everyone, I'm King. Welcome back to
- 0:06Kingpade channel. So, the game has
- 0:08officially revealed the plan for January
- 0:112026 and we have a few interesting
- 0:13events lining up for the global server.
- 0:16One of the biggest highlights this month
- 0:17is the second trial illusion instance,
- 0:20the Tantos tower. This is the follow-up
- 0:22after the buffet trial illusion, which
- 0:24also means this is a full 15 player
- 0:26party instance. In this video, I am
- 0:29going to show you what the Tanatus Tower
- 0:31instance looks like, how the mechanic
- 0:33works, and more importantly, what you
- 0:35should be doing step by step to clear it
- 0:38smoothly. Before we jump straight into
- 0:40the mechanics, I think it's much easier
- 0:42to understand what's happening inside
- 0:44the instance if you know the story
- 0:45behind Tanato's Tower itself. Once you
- 0:48understand the background, a lot of the
- 0:49mechanics will suddenly make more sense
- 0:52instead of feeling random and confusing.
- 0:54Tanto's tower was originally known as
- 0:56the Garganuan Tower around 600 years ago
- 0:59according to the Ragnarok story. This
- 1:01tower was where the demon king Morok
- 1:03first emerged in Midgard. Tanatos
- 1:06confronted Morok with the help of
- 1:08Lucille and Loki. And during the clash,
- 1:10Morok's magic collided with Tanato's
- 1:12shield, distorting time and space and
- 1:14transporting them far south of Brontara.
- 1:17They fought for 10 days and 10 nights.
- 1:19And on the final day, Tanatus managed to
- 1:21defeat Morog, but only his physical
- 1:23manifestation in Midgard. Exhausted and
- 1:26unable to destroy Morok's spirit, Tantos
- 1:28made a split second decision to seal
- 1:30Morok's spirit beneath Midgard using all
- 1:33his remaining power. The shrine was then
- 1:35built on top of the battlefield, which
- 1:37eventually grew into what we know now
- 1:39the city of Moro, serving as a reminder
- 1:42that a great demon is imprisoned beneath
- 1:44it. After sealing Moroc, Tanatos
- 1:46disappeared and was never seen again.
- 1:48And 600 years later, the Gargantuan
- 1:50Tower was rediscovered and inside it,
- 1:53Tanoto's spirit was found guiding the
- 1:55tower. From that point on, the tower was
- 1:58renamed Tanto's Tower. And that is where
- 2:00this trial illusion instance begins.
- 2:02Just like the buffet trial illusion,
- 2:04this instance is divided into three
- 2:06stages. And each stage test your team in
- 2:09a very different way. In the first
- 2:11stage, all players are placed into a
- 2:13room with the phantom of Tanatos with
- 2:15his four materialized emotions that were
- 2:17split from him to guard the tower. These
- 2:20four monsters are Door, Odium, Mero, and
- 2:23Desparrow, representing pain, hate,
- 2:26sorrow, and despair. The names
- 2:27themselves don't change the mechanics,
- 2:29but what matter is that all four must be
- 2:32defeated at the start. Door and Meadow
- 2:35are summoned first. One very important
- 2:37thing to remember here is that these
- 2:39monsters must not be close to each
- 2:41other. If they are near one another,
- 2:43they will generate a shield that makes
- 2:45them much harder to kill. At this point,
- 2:47you also cannot damage the Phantom of
- 2:48Tanatoss at all, even if you hit it.
- 2:51Each emotion monster you defeat will
- 2:52reduce the Phantom's HP by 25%. So, the
- 2:56goal is very clear. The best strategy
- 2:58here, since this is a 15 player party
- 3:00instance, is to split into two groups
- 3:02and lure the monsters to opposite sides
- 3:04of the room so they never get close to
- 3:06each other. In this video example, the
- 3:09player is doing this solo, which likely
- 3:11means they are already in the third job
- 3:14with a very strong build. But for most
- 3:16teams, splitting roles will make this
- 3:18much safer. Once Door and Meow are
- 3:21defeated, Odium and Desparrow will be
- 3:23summoned next. And from this point
- 3:25onward, the Phantom of Tantors will
- 3:27begin attacking. So make sure to stay
- 3:28out of its damage areas. The same rule
- 3:31still applies here. Keep the monsters
- 3:33separated or they will shield each
- 3:35other. One mechanic you really need to
- 3:37pay attention to is the pale blue effect
- 3:40radiating from dollar. Stepping into it
- 3:42will inflict negative emotion stacks.
- 3:44These stacks can build up and once they
- 3:46reach maximum stacks of 15, they turn
- 3:49into the emotional breakdown debuff.
- 3:51When you are in emotional breakdown
- 3:53state, you cannot use normal attacks and
- 3:55your movement direction becomes reverse.
- 3:58Immediately use panacea to cancel the
- 4:00debuff. After all four emotion monsters
- 4:02are defeated, the phantom of Tanat's HP
- 4:04will drop to zero and you clear the
- 4:06first stage. Stage two begins with a
- 4:09larger map, unlocking more areas, but
- 4:11you are still fighting the Phantom of
- 4:13Tanatos along with additional mechanics.
- 4:15This time, the Phantom actively attacks
- 4:17throughout the fight, so positioning
- 4:19becomes very more important. Your goal
- 4:21at the start is to quickly reduce its HP
- 4:23to 80%. Once it reaches that threshold,
- 4:26the entire team will be separated into
- 4:28different rooms beside the main arena.
- 4:30Inside these rooms, you will be affected
- 4:32by emotion miasma effect which
- 4:34continuously stacks negative emotion.
- 4:37Just like before, reaching 15 stacks
- 4:39will trigger emotional breakdown state.
- 4:41So, panacia remains extremely important
- 4:44here. In the separated room, one player
- 4:46should pick up the emblem that grants
- 4:48the dome of light buff. This buff
- 4:50prevents negative emotion from staking,
- 4:52but the trade-off is a heavy movement
- 4:54speed reduction. At the same time,
- 4:56emotion monsters will spawn an attack.
- 4:58The player with Dome of Light buff needs
- 5:00to carefully make their way back to the
- 5:02Phantom of Tanatoss while dodging AoE
- 5:05attacks while the rest of the team helps
- 5:06by defeating the summon monsters. Once
- 5:09the player with Dome of Light buff
- 5:10stands inside the red circle near the
- 5:12Phantom, all summoned monsters will
- 5:14despawn and your team can continue
- 5:16damaging the boss. As the fight goes on,
- 5:18corrupted fields will appear more
- 5:20frequently, making the arena
- 5:21increasingly dangerous. This means your
- 5:24team needs to maintain strong damage
- 5:25output and avoid dragging the fight for
- 5:27too long. When the phantom's HP reaches
- 5:3030%, the same separation mechanic
- 5:32happens again. You will be transported
- 5:34outside subjected to emotion myasma once
- 5:37more. Grab the emblem again, clear the
- 5:39monsters, dodge the area attacks, and
- 5:42return to the phantom. Stand inside the
- 5:44red circle, resume attacking, and once
- 5:46its HP reaches zero, you clear the
- 5:49second stage. The third stage is where
- 5:51you finally face the real Tanatoss. On
- 5:53the surface, this stage looks simpler,
- 5:55but do not underestimate it. Tantos hits
- 5:58extremely hard here, and a single
- 6:00mistake can easily get you killed. Start
- 6:02by bursting his HP down to 80%. Once
- 6:05that happens, poison field will cover
- 6:07the entire arena, leaving only a small
- 6:09safe zone in the center. Directional
- 6:11arrows will then appear indicating an
- 6:13upcoming force movement mechanic. After
- 6:16the arrows disappear, players will be
- 6:18pushed several meters in the indicated
- 6:20direction. To avoid being pushed into
- 6:22the poison, you must position yourself
- 6:24correctly inside the safe zone before
- 6:26the push happens and continue attacking
- 6:28from there. After this force movement,
- 6:31Tantos often follows up with a powerful
- 6:33sword attack. If you stay too close
- 6:35after the push, you risk being instantly
- 6:37taken out. So move away from Tanatos
- 6:39immediately once the mechanic ends. When
- 6:41his HP speed reaches 30%, the mechanic
- 6:44triggers again, but this time two
- 6:46directional arrows appear in sequence
- 6:48followed by two push backs in the
- 6:50corresponding direction. For example, in
- 6:52this video, the arrows point right and
- 6:55then left, which then you will be pushed
- 6:57right first, then left. Proper
- 7:00positioning inside the safe zone is
- 7:02critical here so you are not thrown into
- 7:04the poison. Handle this correctly,
- 7:06maintain damage, and once Tanoto's HP
- 7:08reaches zero, you clear the third stage
- 7:11and complete the instance. So, what do
- 7:13you get from clearing the Tantos tower
- 7:15trial illusion? With its implementation,
- 7:17a Tanoto's Tower shop opens where you
- 7:20can exchange Tantos coins. This shop
- 7:22includes eight new cards and shadow
- 7:24equipment materials. You can obtain
- 7:26Tanoto's gold cards as well as blue
- 7:28cards from the emotion monsters. Skull
- 7:30cards include Tanto's card Memory with
- 7:33increased damage to large monsters.
- 7:34Tanto's card Phantom with increased
- 7:37damage to ghost monsters. Tanto's card
- 7:40Will with increased damage to undead
- 7:42monsters. And Tanato's card Thart with
- 7:44increased damage to demonstr
- 7:50bonus. Desperado card boost PvP final
- 7:53physical damage bonus. Golord card
- 7:55increases haste and Odium card boost PvP
- 7:58final magic damage bonus. On top of
- 8:00that, you can also obtain the tantos
- 8:02costume set and headgears. This should
- 8:05have similar stats based on the other
- 8:07region server just like the buffman set
- 8:09but with slightly lower values. The
- 8:11headpiece provides funnel damage bonus
- 8:13with extra damage to demihuman. The eye
- 8:16piece provides funnel damage reduction
- 8:18with bonus damage to demihuman. And the
- 8:21mouthpiece has no stats, but comes with
- 8:23two card slots, which is very flexible.
- 8:26This instance is not just about raw
- 8:28damage, but about understanding
- 8:30mechanics, positioning, and teamwork.
- 8:32Teams that rush in without coordination
- 8:35will struggle, while groups that assign
- 8:37roles, manage debuff properly, and
- 8:39respect each mechanic will find the
- 8:41fight much smoother. It's a
- 8:43well-designed instance that rewards
- 8:45awareness and communication, and it's a
- 8:47great step up in difficulty for global
- 8:49server players preparing for more
- 8:51complex content in the future. Right,
- 8:53what do you think of the Tantos tower
- 8:55trial illusion instance in global
- 8:57server? Let me know at a comment below.
