  1. 0:00when I look at uh how the International
  2. 0:03Community responded on the periphery of
  3. 0:06liby that is to say isolating it
  4. 0:09economically isolating it politically uh
  5. 0:12getting uh the the international
  6. 0:14criminal court in involved uh
  7. 0:17recognizing the massive abuses of Human
  8. 0:19Rights uh by state leaders and so on uh
  9. 0:23and uh they're continuing to pressure
  10. 0:27and also try to offer options maybe uh
  11. 0:31to Gaddafi to to step down and at the
  12. 0:35Rhythm that that happened I think that's
  13. 0:37quite
  14. 0:38outstanding I mean they were doing
  15. 0:41fine
  16. 0:43until until Gaddafi said I am going to
  17. 0:48stay in power and if it means crushing
  18. 0:51every one of those cockroaches to do it
  19. 0:53I
  20. 0:54will that was the signal for military
  21. 0:59intervention
  22. 1:01and that was a signal to protect to
  23. 1:05protect the innocent who were well
  24. 1:08identified in the eastern part mostly
  25. 1:10and so on uh and as such it called for
  26. 1:14boots on the
  27. 1:15ground that's what protect is not
  28. 1:19aircraft at 10,000 ft they're in support
  29. 1:22of that and so we're 7 weeks late in
  30. 1:26providing the protection zones to permit
  31. 1:29the moderates to coales in a better
  32. 1:32sense of security and probably come up
  33. 1:35with a lot log better sort of structure
  34. 1:37of how they want to conduct this
  35. 1:39operation and and where they want to go
  36. 1:41with it and let the uh Gaddafi's Army
  37. 1:46and let the rebels fight that's okay go
  38. 1:48and fight but don't enter these
  39. 1:50protective zones we're running that but
  40. 1:53we really do not want to prove to him
  41. 1:58that whatever is going to happen we're
  42. 2:00on the ground we're protecting the
  43. 2:02innocent and don't you even come close
  44. 2:06and because of that we are failing and
  45. 2:09now now what do we
  46. 2:11do what do we do do we sustain a
  47. 2:15nutrition
  48. 2:17war and how long is that going to take
  49. 2:20before we actually break Gaddafi's back
  50. 2:24and will we ever and what happens if he
  51. 2:25starts to find friends who are going to
  52. 2:28start to supply him
  53. 2:30how long will we sustain that and will
  54. 2:32the rebels be able to sustain longterm
  55. 2:36without uh more deliberate
  56. 2:39support so we we were doing so
  57. 2:43well and when just like in Rwanda on
  58. 2:47that radio station said the tootsies are
  59. 2:50nothing more than
  60. 2:52cockroaches and all we have to do is
  61. 2:54stomp them
  62. 2:55out that was the signal to really
  63. 3:00implement the r2p and we failed
  64. 3:04miserably
