- 0:12world but now for the first time since
- 0:14the evening news folded six years ago
- 0:16its monopoly position is seriously under
- 0:19threat daily mirror publisher robert
- 0:21maxwell has well laid plans for a rival
- 0:23newspaper the daily news there are
- 0:25claims that he's run into problems with
- 0:27his distribution and in mobilizing
- 0:29potential advertisers but these claims
- 0:31he shrugs off we're absolutely unchecked
- 0:33with an autumn launch we i have no
- 0:36problems
- 0:37so you can categorically deny those
- 0:39reports that say you haven't got enough
- 0:41advertising and you haven't got your
- 0:42distribution worked out absolutely
- 0:45the what we have not yet fully completed
- 0:48is the arrangement for the printing but
- 0:50otherwise we have our distribution is
- 0:54worked out and there's no problem about
- 0:56advertising
- 0:57but associated newspapers who own the
- 0:59standard say they'll beat maxwell by
- 1:01reviving the evening news one paper will
- 1:04go bust that's a certainty if maxwell
- 1:06produces an evening paper there'll be a
- 1:08war between him and us and one will go
- 1:09busting it's gonna be him but with two
- 1:11newspapers coming from the same house
- 1:13we'll squeeze the revenue pips out of mr
- 1:14maxwell
- 1:16so the battle lines are drawn up and a
- 1:18fierce fight looks certain but it will
- 1:20be londoners who'll decide who wins paul
- 1:23green in fleet street for terms news
