9. 0:22Nassau County Democrat Joshua lafazan
10. 0:25we're at the federal courthouse they had
11. 0:28a formal request for the U.S attorney to
12. 0:31investigate the man who flipped this
13. 0:33Queens and Long Island district from
14. 0:35Blue to Red according to a New York
15. 0:38Times investigation Santos has made a
16. 0:41long list of possible distortions
17. 0:43including attending Baruch College and
18. 0:46NYU having employment in investment
19. 0:48positions at Citigroup and Goldman Sachs
20. 0:51running an animal rescue charity and
21. 0:54management of his family's investment
22. 0:57firm with the exception of a statement
23. 0:59from Santos's lawyers saying that the
24. 1:02New York Times is quote attempting to
25. 1:04smear his good name with these
26. 1:06defamatory allegations Santos has been
27. 1:10silent where is Mr George Santos the
28. 1:14Nassau County legislator said that the
29. 1:16New York Times investigation as well as
30. 1:18additional reports including from Pix 11
31. 1:21News could indicate crimes it is illegal
32. 1:24to register to vote at an address at
33. 1:27which you do not live Santos's landlord
34. 1:30said he'd moved out some three months
35. 1:32before the election and threatened her
36. 1:34when he left

49. 2:06campaign went forward and raised these
50. 2:08issues repeatedly to the media he said
51. 2:10that they weren't widely reported then
52. 2:12but now that they are we know also that
53. 2:15he's been bought the question is by who
54. 2:18regarding that request for an
55. 2:20investigation to be done the U.S
56. 2:22attorney's office at this point has no
57. 2:25comment
