0:06Wireless 3 Neo, a new release
0:08by Realme in its budget lineup of
0:10neckbands, the Neo series,
0:11basically an update over the
0:12earlier one, Buds Wireless 2 Neo.

0:22properly synced to music, so do

0:26Now coming to the specs, it's got 13.4mm
0:28dynamic driver, we'll see how it's tuned
0:29in the sound section.
0:30The Bluetooth has been updated to 5.4 and
0:33yes, the connectivity is solid.
0:34I've tested it through walls, you can
0:35keep your phone and
0:36one room just easily roam
0:38around the house,
0:38listening to music or take calls.
0:40Without the hassle of losing
0:41connectivity, and crackle up
0:43the sound, easily a lot better
0:44than others in the same price range.
0:46Now it also has dual device connection on
0:47the connectivity
0:48front, which is quite rare
0:49in this price range.
0:50Comes in really handy when you wanna stay
0:51connected to two
0:52devices, either your laptop
0:54or computer and phone, and
0:55just take calls seamlessly.
0:57Although you need to toggle on this
0:58feature from the app.
0:59For gaming, 45ms low latency, the battery
1:02life, realme claims
1:02it to be 32 hours, and
1:04the 10min quick charge
1:05would give you about 7 hours.
1:06And for the watery and sweaty situations,
1:08IP55 dust and water resistance.
1:11Not to mention Google fast pair and AI
1:12ENC for calls, are
1:14present in almost all audio
1:15products nowadays.
1:17Now you might think active noise
1:18cancellation ENC is not
1:19there, but for this price, could
1:21you ask for more?
1:23Now just like most neckbands, to turn it
1:24on, all you need to do
1:25is just separate the buds,
1:27and it will quickly connect to your phone
1:28with Google fast pair.
1:29Alternatively, if you want to put it into
1:31pairing mode
1:31manually, just press and hold
1:33the circular multifunction button in a
1:35middle, to let it
1:36enter into pairing mode.
1:37It comes with the realme link apps
1:39support, which puts it way
1:40ahead than other neckbands
1:41in the similar price range, adding to the
1:43functionality of the earbuds a lot more.
1:44You can change the action of
1:45multifunction buttons as per
1:47your needs, but the default
1:48setting stays as such.
1:50A single tap would play or pause the
1:51music, or answer or end the calls.
1:54A double tap will take you to the next
1:55track, a triple tap will
1:56take you to the previous
1:58track.
1:58Press and hold it for 2 seconds to
2:00decline a call, or
2:01activate the voice assistant.
2:04For tweaking the sound, you get a few more presets
2:06out of the box that's
2:07set on original sound.
2:08And it's really nice to see a custom
2:10equalizer which is quite
2:11rare in this price and comes
2:12in really handy to let you dial in the
2:14sound as per your own taste.
2:16With the dynamic bass on, you can tweak
2:18the bass even further 5 steps up or down.
2:21Let's say for example if the bass on pure
2:23bass settings feels
2:23too much for you, then
2:25you can just tone it down a few steps.
2:27The strength of each step is really
2:28subtle so it's not a
2:29huge increase or decrease in
2:31the bass.
2:32This is the volume enhancer, it's self
2:33explanatory, also comes with a warning.
2:35Just keep it off if you
2:36don't want to damage your ears.
2:38Also a tiny advice regarding this, never
2:40ever listen to buds or
2:42earphones on the maximum
2:44volume, it's just going
2:45to damage your hearing.
2:46Rest of them are the toggle buttons for
2:48dual device connection,
2:49game mode and find my phone.
2:53Onto the design and build quality part, I
2:55really like the
2:56design of it, seems exactly
2:57similar to its expensive elder sibling,
2:59the Buds Wireless 3,
3:00the only differentiating
3:01element that sets them apart are the side
3:03modules or the control modules.
3:05They've got really nice two tone finish
3:07with half part being
3:08glossy and the other half
3:09being matte finish.
3:10Looks really nice and
3:11subtle and pretty cool.
3:13The material is soft.
3:15The connecting cord seems
3:16sufficiently thick and strong.
3:19The build quality is
3:20really good for the price.
3:21I would say you won't be able to
3:22differentiate between this and neckbands
3:23from a tier or two up.
3:28One of the most important aspects in any neck band
3:30is the call quality. So let's talk about
3:32the call quality on these
3:34This is how you'd sound to your recipient
3:36in a quieter environment in those
3:38settings. Check one two

3:43the real Mi Buds wireless 3neo and

3:49quiet environment without anything on
3:51maybe just AC on or something

4:16I'm not really sure if you could hear the

4:34When you're out and about traveling in public
4:36transport or in traffic situations. This
4:38is how you sound like
4:40walking down a really busy
4:42highway road here. This is the mic quality
4:47from the camera itself
4:49Just to give you the idea of how the
4:51default sound sounds like
4:54Now I'll switch over to the wireless
4:56Neo 3 and you will be the judge
4:59This is how the sound quality from the
5:02wireless Neo 3 sounds like

5:07Since it doesn't have any ANC
5:10Not really sure how the
5:11mics would be performing
5:14It might struggle or it might not
5:16struggle you would be the judge

5:25microphone of wireless 3 Neo and now
5:27you know how they sound
5:29like in almost every scenario
5:30Now coming to the most important aspect
5:32of any audio product this is on quality
5:35now this being a
5:36budget entry-level product
5:37I was expecting it to be
5:39tuned to mass market quality
5:40Which is usually boomy bloated bass
5:42bleeding into all frequency ranges. It's
5:45not a sign of good audio quality
5:47Certainly mostly all the brands do in the
5:49budget lineup. That's where
5:50real make it a surprise, man
5:52I'm happy to tell you that they've not
5:53tuned it that way at
5:54least in their default sound
5:56It really seems to exceed any alternative
5:58around its price range
5:59But that's saying let me bring in the
6:01good old Oneplus bullet Z to neckband
6:03I guess these are about two years old or
6:05something and fed pretty well over time
6:07apart from signs of
6:08baby wear and tear stuff
6:09The good thing is they haven't stopped
6:10working yet now back in the days
6:12These are one of the best sounding
6:13neckbands you could find in 2k mark
6:15Although I never happened to like the
6:17sound signature on these was too dark and
6:19bass heavy for my taste
6:21Anyway onto the sound that the original
6:23sound in the app on three neos
6:25Listening to the song "Lift" by Poets of
6:27The Fall, the notes on the bass guitar
6:29after the starting chorus sounds pretty
6:31clear and distinctive
6:32you could really hear the thumpy kick not
6:35messing up with the
6:35bass guitar that much and
6:38Bass and the kick has its own space
6:40Really sound pretty decent for the busy
6:43track the snare sound snappy the whole
6:45drum set remains
6:46separate from the bass section
6:48Now as soon as I switch over to the EQ
6:50preset pure bass in the realme link app
6:53Everything becomes a lot more fuller
6:55The bass has got a lot of weight the
6:57kicks become a lot more beefier and
6:59becomes a lot more enjoyable to listen to
7:00The bass in this setting this is where
7:02the three near starts
7:03to sound a lot similar
7:05To the one plus bullet Z2 without losing
7:08the definition on the
7:09bass elements that much
7:10And maintaining a fun sound signature the
7:12Z2 on the other hand.
7:13It's really dark sounding
7:15bass heavy signature kind of eats up
7:18everything around it and
7:20In the bass section, there's not much of
7:22a definition. There's not much of it
7:24It is pretty decent
7:26But it's not as good as 3 neos the
7:28way the 3 neos are able
7:30to handle coming to the mids
7:31Markos vocals sound present doesn't take
7:33a backseat the vocal clarity is decent
7:35But as soon as you switch to the original
7:37sound on these vocals
7:39sound a little bit thinner
7:40Which is quite fine. Now the good thing
7:42is even on the pure
7:43bass settings the vocal
7:44the vocals doesn't seem to take a
7:47backseat. It's quite it's quite forward
7:49and present along with the bass
7:51Now the mids on Z2s are all researched
7:54Thanks to the overpowering bass the vocal
7:56seems to take a backseat the accompanying
7:58guitar elements sound all
7:59muffled with the vocals as well
8:01Whereas in wireless three nears you could
8:03actually hear the accompanying elements
8:05electronic guitars and all blending
8:07pretty recently with
8:08The vocals and not congesting everything.
8:12It's pretty darn clear i'd
8:14say. Now onto the highs
8:16Talking about Z2. I don't know if I
8:18should even talk about
8:19it. The overpowering bass just
8:22Kills the highs like anything. It's very
8:25dark. Like the highs are just not present
8:28at all. Whereas on 3 neos
8:31The highs are present
8:32They're not as well defined as the
8:35expensive counterparts
8:36But at least it's present and it's it's
8:39kind of shiny as well. It
8:41sounds quite crispy as well
8:42It does make you feel like it's right
8:45there. It's present even the
8:46pure bass settings in the app
8:48Doesn't drown out the highs that much
8:50Coming to the soundstage & imaging and
8:53boy by wireless three news impressed in
8:55this regard soundstage on
8:563 neos is far superior
8:58When compared to Z2 a lot wider than the
9:00Z2's the instrument separation is very
9:03good for its price range
9:04I'm saying this because I've
9:05got the oppo buds 2 as well
9:07Even on such a busy track by poets of
9:09the fall it manages to keep the
9:11instruments separation
9:12Pretty fairly good. The imaging is also
9:15done really well on these you can
9:16actually pinpoint the different
9:18instruments in the soundstage
9:21Pretty recently whereas in bullet Z2
9:23The imaging is just ok'ish because of
9:26the very narrow soundstage and the stereo
9:29separation is also not that much
9:31Because of all that the imaging feels
9:33like you're not able
9:34to pinpoint that well
9:36Few instruments just get lost sometimes
9:38because of the narrow soundstage
9:41So all in all realme wireless
9:423 neo sounds very
9:44much promising for the price
9:45They are coming for 1.3k.
9:47It holds on to the clarity
9:48It holds on to the wider soundstage and
9:51it delivers pretty well
9:52even in such busy tracks
9:54Now you can also go ahead and pick up its
9:55elder sibling and wireless three
9:57But the only difference being wireless
9:59three and wireless three new as the ANC
10:02for sound quality
10:04Unfortunately, I don't have so I cannot
10:06do a direct comparison
10:08But there are lots of reviewers who've
10:10compared you can go
10:11ahead and check them out
10:12And since the wireless
10:13three is also available for 1.6k
10:15I would suggest if you're getting getting
10:17wireless three for that price
10:18Just go ahead and pick up that because
10:19you'd be getting the ANC with along with
10:21the similar sound quality
10:24of the wireless 3 neo
10:26Tiny bit better
10:27details and all that stuff
10:28So that would be a better purchase, but
10:31if the price difference between the
10:32wireless three and
10:33wireless three new goes up
10:35usually the wireless three sells for
10:381.8 I guess or 2k
10:40then
10:42The ANC wouldn't matter
10:43that much because the default
10:45Passive noise isolation on wireless
10:47three new is very very good. I forgot to
10:49point out this superb
10:51It's very very good. At least for my
10:53ears. They're sitting very snug and
10:56Drowned out almost 60 to 70 percent of
10:58the sound leaving only the fan hiss a
11:00little bit on its full swing
11:02So there you go
