  1. 0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
  2. 0:21Hello! Welcome in!
  3. 0:24I think you saved it a little bit.
  4. 0:30I think I was a little late to the party mentally there.
  5. 0:33Welcome into the show!
  6. 0:35Yon! Welcome in!
  7. 0:39Tuesday, August 11th, the Fantasy Footballers Podcast.
  8. 0:43Back with you.
  9. 0:44Supposed to be pumping the people up.
  10. 0:47Not bringing them down.
  11. 0:48This isn't an ASMR sleepy time podcast.
  12. 0:50Well, maybe if somebody said it was football time every once in a while, we'd all be energized.
  13. 0:56Give us a little bump!
  14. 1:02It's not football time, guys.
  15. 1:03But it was on the Hall of Fame game, man.
  16. 1:06Yeah!
  17. 1:06And it turned into some pretty darn good football.
  18. 1:09Yeah, but here's the thing.
  19. 1:10The Hall of Fame game had more viewers than the highest rated NHL game last year, I think.
  20. 1:16Yeah.
  21. 1:17Get wrecked, hockey.
  22. 1:17But here's the thing.
  23. 1:19Had I said, it's football time, and then Carson Beck goes out and lays an absolute stinker,
  24. 1:27I mean, it's football time.
  25. 1:28You just don't know your football.
  26. 1:29We knew that was coming.
  27. 1:30Yeah, you don't know your football.
  28. 1:31You don't know your football, Mike.
  29. 1:33I apologize.
  30. 1:35I knew that Carson Beck could see all...
  31. 1:38We did talk about the field vision.
  32. 1:41But he...
  33. 1:42Maybe that makes the no look.
  34. 1:44Oh, that was a look.
  35. 1:45Yeah, he was staring him down.
  36. 1:47What the DBs don't realize is he had fully tipped exactly where that ball was going to go.
  37. 1:52Yes.
  38. 1:53What do we got?
  39. 1:53You just gotta...
  40. 1:54You gotta look...
  41. 1:55Because he cuts his visor really wide.
  42. 1:57I know.
  43. 1:57I'm looking at this...
  44. 1:58We're the black shirt crew.
  45. 1:59The triple black shirt.
  46. 2:00And we wear hats.
  47. 2:02Triple hats today.
  48. 2:05Deucers back there.
  49. 2:06There's one hat too.
  50. 2:07Oh, there's no...
  51. 2:07There's one hat too few.
  52. 2:10There's one hat too few back there.
  53. 2:12I tried on a hat yesterday and you guys picked on me.
  54. 2:14But that's because of the hat.
  55. 2:15You picked the hat.
  56. 2:15You picked the hat.
  57. 2:16He's also the only one without a black shirt.
  58. 2:18Dude, I mean, genuinely, you pick hats like that boy from the Sandlot.
  59. 2:23Like...
  60. 2:23What?
  61. 2:25Oh, man.
  62. 2:26I...
  63. 2:26What?
  64. 2:27You don't...
  65. 2:28No, I don't.
  66. 2:29It's the flat dad hat.
  67. 2:30The...
  68. 2:30Yeah, the Sandlot where...
  69. 2:32The flat dad hat where it's just...
  70. 2:32The kid is like...
  71. 2:33You know, Benny comes and he saves him.
  72. 2:35He's like, dude, don't wear that hat.
  73. 2:36You can't wear that hat.
  74. 2:37I do not remember that one.
  75. 2:38He put a washcloth on his head.
  76. 2:41I mean, not much...
  77. 2:41I gotta go back.
  78. 2:42Not much different.
  79. 2:43I haven't visited the Sandlot in probably two decades.
  80. 2:46Oh, man.
  81. 2:47Bro.
  82. 2:48It's bad.
  83. 2:49Oh, that's a big bill.
  84. 2:50What is happening?
  85. 2:51That's a huge bill.
  86. 2:51We have performance climbers on today's show, by the way.
  87. 2:55Barely any news.
  88. 2:56I'm just gonna...
  89. 2:56I'm gonna skip the segment and just give it to you real quick.
  90. 2:58And then we're gonna jump into running back rankings.
  91. 3:01Yeah.
  92. 3:01There's no news.
  93. 3:03Nothing to see here.
  94. 3:05I don't know.
  95. 3:06Wait, what does that allure to?
  96. 3:08That's the liar lying pants.
  97. 3:10No, no.
  98. 3:10There's no...
  99. 3:11The news...
  100. 3:11You're right.
  101. 3:12Don't even worry about that news section.
  102. 3:14Oh, my gosh.
  103. 3:14What is...
  104. 3:15Just hit the button and...
  105. 3:16Oh, you're saying the Christian McCaffrey part?
  106. 3:17No.
  107. 3:18What?
  108. 3:18There's no news.
  109. 3:20It's two of them.
  110. 3:21We have to announce...
  111. 3:21There's no news, guys.
  112. 3:23Something's first.
  113. 3:24Because it is that time of year, we are going to do a UDK for Life giveaway.
  114. 3:32This is your one chance a year to pick up...
  115. 3:35For Life.
  116. 3:36...the UDK for the rest of your natural life.
  117. 3:39I know we've had debates on bequeathing.
  118. 3:42Like, once you pass, can you give your UDK life away to somebody else?
  119. 3:46I don't know.
  120. 3:47I think we kind of shut that down before.
  121. 3:49I'm willing to open that up.
  122. 3:50I'm opening it up, but it has to be...
  123. 3:52It has to be in print.
  124. 3:53In a will.
  125. 3:54Yeah, it has to be in a will and some kind of...
  126. 3:56You know, we're not going to court here.
  127. 3:58Yeah, no probate.
  128. 3:59No.
  129. 4:00Notarized.
  130. 4:00Never through probate.
  131. 4:01But if you pick up the UDK or an Ultimate Foot Clan membership before we do our live stream,
  132. 4:09which will be August 24th, you will be entered to win the UDK for Life and a signed Jamar Chase jersey.
  133. 4:18It is pretty cool.
  134. 4:20I know, obviously, everyone wants a UDK forever.
  135. 4:23That's awesome.
  136. 4:23If you get the Ultimate Foot Clan membership, we're going to have the Megalobulls coming soon.
  137. 4:28We're not opening that up yet.
  138. 4:30It's not announced, but you're going to want to play in that.
  139. 4:33So get the Ultimate Foot Clan membership, and you just get everything we ever do, forever, always.
  140. 4:38You're in every tournament.
  141. 4:39You've got every product, in-season, out-season.
  142. 4:42Up-season, down-season.
  143. 4:43Up-season, down-season.
  144. 4:44Inside-out.
  145. 4:46Yeah.
  146. 4:46DFS.
  147. 4:48Everything.
  148. 4:49Out-season?
  149. 4:50Out-season, yeah.
  150. 4:53I am trying to decide on something right now, Mike.
  151. 4:59We were sitting down to record the show.
  152. 5:00This sounds dangerous.
  153. 5:01We were sitting down to record the show.
  154. 5:03I'm not vibing.
  155. 5:03I don't know what we're doing.
  156. 5:04We had producers ready to rumble.
  157. 5:07Me and you are here.
  158. 5:08And a man came bursting out of the shower.
  159. 5:11Okay.
  160. 5:12And I know that that guy went out to the range this morning.
  161. 5:18I did.
  162. 5:18To hit some golf balls.
  163. 5:20There's about 60 of them.
  164. 5:21It's dangerous.
  165. 5:22So he hit two buckets?
  166. 5:24No, that's one full bucket.
  167. 5:25Okay.
  168. 5:25And I am afraid to ask him how it went.
  169. 5:28Because I know he's trying to get on track.
  170. 5:30Because he's got, let's just say this, there's a decent chance, 100%, that he's going to be
  171. 5:37the video on.
  172. 5:38Yeah.
  173. 5:38Tomorrow.
  174. 5:39Like last week, people played nine holes with me.
  175. 5:41Right.
  176. 5:42Tomorrow I'm getting filmed.
  177. 5:43And I learned a lot about myself and chemicals found in golf tees.
  178. 5:46Yeah.
  179. 5:46Yeah.
  180. 5:46My recommendation is just pesticides from bottle.
  181. 5:50I'm going to start licking the grass in order to end this golf curse.
  182. 5:56No.
  183. 5:56Yeah.
  184. 5:56Tomorrow I will be recorded for everyone's-
  185. 5:59Who did it normally shoot the pesticides 30, 40 yards away?
  186. 6:03For everyone's viewing pleasure.
  187. 6:04Everyone other than myself.
  188. 6:06And how it went this morning was I shot 60 balls.
  189. 6:09I would say 30 of them were horrifically bad.
  190. 6:14There was one I was able to catch.
  191. 6:15So that was pretty cool.
  192. 6:17Like it hit off the ground and then you caught it?
  193. 6:20So it was teed up.
  194. 6:21I had my driver.
  195. 6:22Oh, this is going to be-
  196. 6:23Dude, I hit that tee.
  197. 6:25Got to be 50 yards.
  198. 6:27Got to be.
  199. 6:27Okay.
  200. 6:28The ball, however, went straight up and I was able to yoink it right out of the air like
  201. 6:32a pro.
  202. 6:33Did anyone see it?
  203. 6:35I don't know.
  204. 6:35There was two old guys near me, but I don't know if they're watching.
  205. 6:37Any tips?
  206. 6:38Did you get any tips from the old guys?
  207. 6:39No, thankfully.
  208. 6:40They can't help.
  209. 6:41You can't help this.
  210. 6:42So I think on Wednesday, we are going to have Jason play nine holes with Jason.
  211. 6:48You can find that on.
  212. 6:48That will be the last day of my life.
  213. 6:49So enjoy.
  214. 6:50At the FF Ballers or Instagram.com slash FFFFFBallers.
  215. 6:53Jeremy wants to know about the other 30.
  216. 6:54I had 10 good shots.
  217. 6:5720 that were like-
  218. 6:59So that's not even Fulton Reed.
  219. 7:00One out of six.
  220. 7:01One out of six were-
  221. 7:02Yeah, it is.
  222. 7:02Fulton Reed's one in five, isn't it?
  223. 7:04Was he?
  224. 7:04That's a Kyle question.
  225. 7:06Kyle, what do you got?
  226. 7:07Yep.
  227. 7:08One out of five.
  228. 7:09Yeah.
  229. 7:09Okay.
  230. 7:09But yeah, ultimatedraftkit.com.
  231. 7:12Pick it up.
  232. 7:13Get the UDK for life.
  233. 7:14Be in there to win.
  234. 7:16Let's move on.
  235. 7:22Performance Climbers.
  236. 7:24Presented by GMC.
  237. 7:25All right.
  238. 7:28We have three names.
  239. 7:30Players that have been moving up in average draft position.
  240. 7:33And we want to talk about those moves.
  241. 7:36Starting with the newly acquired Stefan Diggs.
  242. 7:39Wide receiver for the Commanders.
  243. 7:41Obviously really wasn't being drafted before the signing.
  244. 7:45Moving up.
  245. 7:46Will continue to move up.
  246. 7:47He's fascinating to me.
  247. 7:49Because it-
  248. 7:50There's so much opportunity there.
  249. 7:51It is a late addition.
  250. 7:54Terry McLaurin can't be the entirety of the offense.
  251. 7:57So right now, you know, he's going in double-digit rounds.
  252. 7:59So if you're scooping up, like you're doing your drafts about now,
  253. 8:06he's a massive, massive value.
  254. 8:08So the question really becomes-
  255. 8:09I think so.
  256. 8:11He's coming off over 1,000 yards.
  257. 8:13No, I get it.
  258. 8:14Let's have a philosophical question about what good is.
  259. 8:16Because he finished as the wide receiver 16 last year.
  260. 8:19Obviously you could just end the whole debate and say,
  261. 8:22well, that was really good.
  262. 8:23And he was drafted way behind that.
  263. 8:26But he wasn't good.
  264. 8:27Like, he had 1,000 yards.
  265. 8:28That's awesome.
  266. 8:29But also, he wasn't played in fantasy the vast majority of weeks.
  267. 8:33Did he have a handful of weeks that were great?
  268. 8:35Top 10 weeks?
  269. 8:36Absolutely.
  270. 8:37On your bench.
  271. 8:37Or on waivers.
  272. 8:38He was not-
  273. 8:39I think he was in more lineups than you're giving credit for.
  274. 8:42I mean, maybe if you're-
  275. 8:43I felt like that was happening early in the season.
  276. 8:45And I think people faded out of that and moved on.
  277. 8:47Like, people were starting Kayshawn Booty at random there.
  278. 8:51I mean-
  279. 8:52I'm not saying he was never started for a good game.
  280. 8:54But I do-
  281. 8:55PPR, it was good.
  282. 8:56I do think that he was nowhere near as valuable as what saying the wide receiver 16 with 1,000 yards sounds like.
  283. 9:04And that was with-
  284. 9:05I mean, I would imagine we would assume that Drake May throws for more yards than Jaden Daniels last year.
  285. 9:11Sure.
  286. 9:12Versus Jaden Daniels this year.
  287. 9:13So you've got a smaller pie.
  288. 9:15He was the one last year versus-
  289. 9:17He was also coming directly off of a torn ACL and puts up 85 in over 1,000 yards.
  290. 9:24I mean, to poo-poo 100 targets going in the double-digit rounds sounds kind of strange to me.
  291. 9:29Well, let's put it this way, though.
  292. 9:31There's two sides to it.
  293. 9:32One, he's a year older.
  294. 9:33He's Stephon Diggs.
  295. 9:34He's not in this prime.
  296. 9:35A year healthier.
  297. 9:36But Keenan Allen had 122 targets last year.
  298. 9:39He had 80 catches.
  299. 9:40Stephon Diggs had 85 catches.
  300. 9:42I think that's a pretty interesting comparison of those two guys.
  301. 9:46And one of them's on a team.
  302. 9:48By contrast, Keenan Allen finished at 32 with the same numbers.
  303. 9:51It was just he had fewer yards.
  304. 9:53A lot fewer yards.
  305. 9:54But the same touchdowns, the same receptions.
  306. 9:57He had about 300 fewer yards, though.
  307. 9:58Yeah.
  308. 9:59250.
  309. 9:59I'm just saying that's the range, though, for a guy that's a low area target guy like
  310. 10:03Stephon Diggs now is, is it 16?
  311. 10:05Is it 32?
  312. 10:06Is it 40?
  313. 10:08I understand it.
  314. 10:08I think there's opportunity in Washington.
  315. 10:10I think that's obvious.
  316. 10:11I think Jaden Daniels, we like him.
  317. 10:13It raises the ceiling or the floor for Daniels to me.
  318. 10:16Possession guy that can catch the ball.
  319. 10:18I think this is one of the biggest full PPR situations where Diggs is somewhat valuable
  320. 10:25there, kind of moderately valuable at half and not valuable at all in the, you know, standard
  321. 10:32league format.
  322. 10:33So I'm not trying to poo-poo him.
  323. 10:36I'm just saying we are long, like Keenan Allen had a peak.
  324. 10:41Now Keenan Allen became a possession guy.
  325. 10:43And I look at Diggs the same way.
  326. 10:44I guess my question is, like, for the purpose of this segment, the ADP, he's been rising.
  327. 10:49Where do you think he lands?
  328. 10:50Because obviously.
  329. 10:51Yeah.
  330. 10:51I think that's a.
  331. 10:52Let's say he eighth round, ninth round.
  332. 10:54Where do you anticipate that he would go?
  333. 10:56I think eighth is probably a good landing spot.
  334. 11:00So do you spend the pick on a guy that doesn't have a ceiling in the eighth?
  335. 11:03That's my point.
  336. 11:04Or do you spend a pick on another guy we're talking about?
  337. 11:07Here's a perfect example.
  338. 11:10Okay.
  339. 11:10Stribbling.
  340. 11:11That's great.
  341. 11:11That's a good counter.
  342. 11:14Because I was going to bring up Alec Pierce and Mekhi Lemon.
  343. 11:15They're going in the eighth round right now.
  344. 11:17Oh, gosh.
  345. 11:17Yeah.
  346. 11:17I would take both of those.
  347. 11:18Of course.
  348. 11:19Like, there's a ceiling.
  349. 11:20And even though Mekhi Lemon is injured and maybe he doesn't get involved.
  350. 11:23But Diggs in the 10th.
  351. 11:23Sure.
  352. 11:24Yeah.
  353. 11:24Maybe Diggs doesn't make it to the eighth then.
  354. 11:26I mean, would you take.
  355. 11:27Mike, let me put you on the spot here.
  356. 11:29Okay.
  357. 11:30This will be a decision you'll easily be able to make.
  358. 11:32Pat Bryant with all the glazing going on in the last two days.
  359. 11:36Oh, man.
  360. 11:37Or Stephon Diggs in the 10th round.
  361. 11:40I think the ceiling discussion is very, very fair.
  362. 11:47Because it's like, Stephon Diggs probably, I think he can get over 1,000 yards again.
  363. 11:53And I think he could be five to seven touchdowns around there.
  364. 11:59Stephon Diggs is definitely a safer bet on a week-to-week basis for like your second flex play.
  365. 12:05That's what we're, and we're not talking about the wide receiver two on your team.
  366. 12:08We're talking about a bye week fill-in.
  367. 12:11We're talking about a second flex.
  368. 12:14Just a guy who could go right into your lineup.
  369. 12:16That will be better, in my opinion, than like scraping the waiver wire.
  370. 12:21You know, heading into Sunday, you're like, oh, I got to find a play.
  371. 12:24Stephon Diggs is going to be much better than those guys.
  372. 12:25There is definitely a place for that.
  373. 12:27I love those players midseason, where I've dealt with injury, or I took my swing at the big guys,
  374. 12:32and now I need someone to plug a second flex.
  375. 12:35It's like, oh, he can go in there, and he'll have eight or nine targets.
  376. 12:39That's fine.
  377. 12:40But when I'm in the draft, I'm just looking at guys that are way, way later.
  378. 12:43Peyton Johnson in the 9th, or Concepcion in the 10th, or Jaden Higgins in the 11th, or Denzel Boston in the 12th.
  379. 12:50I would rather take a shot on those type of players.
  380. 12:52Would you rather have Michael Wilson or Stephon Diggs?
  381. 12:54Wilson.
  382. 12:55Wilson.
  383. 12:56Okay.
  384. 12:56That makes sense.
  385. 12:57Dijon Stribling, wide receiver for the 49ers, has been moving up.
  386. 13:01We're looking at ADP risers right now on performance climbers.
  387. 13:06Stribling was in the 12th and 13th.
  388. 13:08Now he's in the 11th on Yahoo.
  389. 13:1133rd pick in the NFL draft.
  390. 13:14We know what the situation is in San Francisco on a regular basis with injuries.
  391. 13:19But all the reports on Stribling, all the highlights on Stribling, have been positive.
  392. 13:24Picking up things in a hurry, according to Shanahan.
  393. 13:28Clay Kubiak said he's been able to handle multiple responsibilities early.
  394. 13:33Fairly extensive role early on.
  395. 13:34We lost Ricky Pearsall.
  396. 13:35We lost Christian Kirk.
  397. 13:37Evans is the oldest drafted player in the top six rounds, basically.
  398. 13:43Debo Samuel.
  399. 13:43Debo's interesting because they're saying he's getting all of the work, like he's splitting
  400. 13:49wide receiver running back room again.
  401. 13:51It made me kind of forget, like last year, Debo was not a part of the taking snaps at running
  402. 13:57back situation.
  403. 13:57But where are you with Stribling and taking a shot on him?
  404. 14:02I think he absolutely has to have a shot taken on him.
  405. 14:06Brock Purdy is a very good quarterback.
  406. 14:08To me, I put him in the certainly top half quarterback, but probably a tier higher than
  407. 14:15most people put him.
  408. 14:17That's why I've been kind of into Mike Evans.
  409. 14:18He's obviously a great red zone weapon.
  410. 14:21Brock throws touchdowns.
  411. 14:22But Evans is 33 going on 700 years into his.
  412. 14:28His soft tissue is just brittle.
  413. 14:30He's already dealing with the quad issue.
  414. 14:32I mentioned yesterday he was back to practice.
  415. 14:34He's working on the side.
  416. 14:35He's not full practice yet.
  417. 14:37I wanted to take shots on Ricky Pearsall.
  418. 14:39So like this offense, they need someone.
  419. 14:41They lost Jawan Jennings.
  420. 14:43They lost Ricky Pearsall.
  421. 14:45Mike Evans, they will lose at some point.
  422. 14:48And so, yeah, Stribling is, he was drafted to be an important part.
  423. 14:53He's already rolling with the ones.
  424. 14:54And the reports, like Grant Cohn, I don't know what you think of him.
  425. 14:57He's, you know, not everyone's favorite 49ers reporter.
  426. 15:02But he's saying he's the best wide receiver at camp, full stop.
  427. 15:05Well, and there's an opportunity there.
  428. 15:07I mean, the other pass catchers that are trustworthy in San Francisco are all older.
  429. 15:12Yes.
  430. 15:12So, you know, that includes Kittle, right?
  431. 15:14Kittle looks really good.
  432. 15:15Like, he should be back out there.
  433. 15:18But that is not uncommon to start the year strong.
  434. 15:21That's where Stribling, I think, could, I doubt he has a breakout week one through four.
  435. 15:27But as the year goes on, I mean, we used to see this with vintage Larry Fitzgerald.
  436. 15:31The first half of the year for Fitz was higher than average, you know, better than expected.
  437. 15:35Second half slowed down.
  438. 15:36I would expect similar things from potentially Kittle and.
  439. 15:40You're saying it starts with Mike Evans, ends with a straight.
  440. 15:42Well, wow, wow.
  441. 15:44I didn't know if I wanted to cut you off.
  442. 15:47Breaking news.
  443. 15:48Brooks said safer news.
  444. 15:49Just get out of here, Brooks.
  445. 15:50Brooks, we're not doing a news segment.
  446. 15:52Did you hear me?
  447. 15:53I have a bunch of news to talk about, but it will not be in a segment.
  448. 15:56I mean, this guy is going to rise in ADP now.
  449. 16:00Kyler Murray has already been named the starting quarterback.
  450. 16:02There was too much good news coming out about J.J. McCarthy.
  451. 16:05That's honestly what it seems like.
  452. 16:06It was like reporters are starting to say, look, the last couple practices, McCarthy's been winning.
  453. 16:10And then he's like, I got to get out of this.
  454. 16:12This is terrible for Minnesota.
  455. 16:14Like the potential negative outcome.
  456. 16:16It could be great.
  457. 16:17Sorry, let me completely start over.
  458. 16:19It's great for Justin Jefferson.
  459. 16:21It's great for that discussion we had a couple days ago about Jefferson and being, maybe it was yesterday.
  460. 16:26I don't even know what days are anymore.
  461. 16:28But the potential outcome in Minnesota is pretty rough.
  462. 16:33Because now if Murray fails and then J.J. comes in and is just J.J., you're down to zero quarterbacks again.
  463. 16:41And I imagine Murray will be okay.
  464. 16:44But do you feel better about Jefferson now?
  465. 16:48Moderately?
  466. 16:49Moderately.
  467. 16:50Moderately.
  468. 16:51The, like we've said, the information about the quarterback battle has been very, very difficult to sift through as the, it, my take on everything is, I don't know that I've, you're, you're, it's very rare to see an impartial view of what is going on in Minnesota.
  469. 17:12I feel like people have already decided they don't like J.J. McCarthy.
  470. 17:18So whenever Kyler does something great, they're going to report on it.
  471. 17:23Or there's the, you know, J.J. McCarthy still has his supporters and they're not going to say anything when Kyler Murray does anything good.
  472. 17:29It's, it's been very difficult to navigate.
  473. 17:31But this had to happen.
  474. 17:33This is.
  475. 17:34You, you have to, you have to pick one and say, okay, you're at, at this point, you're the, we think you're the best shot.
  476. 17:40You get all the snaps with the ones now.
  477. 17:41We can't keep splitting this crap up.
  478. 17:43It's.
  479. 17:43The season is like three weeks away.
  480. 17:46Yeah.
  481. 17:46The whole thing where they were going to take this all the way down to the wire.
  482. 17:49I'm so happy.
  483. 17:50They're not in either direction, in either direction.
  484. 17:52You've got to give your team a starting quarterback.
  485. 17:55Yes.
  486. 17:55To practice through the next couple of weeks before you start the season.
  487. 17:58And this is, this is what we thought was going to happen all along.
  488. 18:01This is why I hated the, this guy won this practice.
  489. 18:04This guy won that practice because the.
  490. 18:06So did Kevin O'Connell.
  491. 18:06The coach knows where he's headed.
  492. 18:11Kyler had never played in the offense.
  493. 18:12J.J. had.
  494. 18:13It's not about what you can do during practice.
  495. 18:15It's about what you can do during the game as a, as a, you know, much more established
  496. 18:19veteran quarterback.
  497. 18:21Kyler gets the shot.
  498. 18:22It's good for Addison.
  499. 18:23It's good for Jefferson.
  500. 18:24It's good for the offense.
  501. 18:26Overall, I agree.
  502. 18:27But we need now the information really matters because I, the, I think the, the, I had shared
  503. 18:35it with you guys.
  504. 18:35I can't remember.
  505. 18:36There was a Minnesota beat reporter where it finally felt like, okay, we're getting real
  506. 18:40news.
  507. 18:41Cause he came out and basically said, I don't care about who's winning, who's not winning
  508. 18:46this practice.
  509. 18:47He's like, they both have not been great.
  510. 18:49Right.
  511. 18:49That is the, the, the true key story is both are struggling severely.
  512. 18:55Uh, Kyler against the ones, JJ McCarthy's look good, but then he struggled sometimes against
  513. 19:00the twos.
  514. 19:00So you have to make this move as the team, but this will be a follow, follow now.
  515. 19:08You feel like there won't be as much, uh, bias in the report.
  516. 19:11Yes.
  517. 19:11Because now it's just directly towards Kyler Murray.
  518. 19:14How does he actually look?
  519. 19:15Because after our discussion, you know, yesterday talking Jefferson and Drake London, it's like,
  520. 19:20man, I, I'm nervous.
  521. 19:24I'm nervous and I need training camp to talk me back in.
  522. 19:27So circling back to stripling, um, I think he's going to start right away.
  523. 19:32I think he's very interesting as a, he's a perfect late round target because he doesn't
  524. 19:36have the same type of, like, I think Cardinal Tate's a great ADP value right now.
  525. 19:41Jordan Tyson probably is a great value.
  526. 19:42Yes, he is.
  527. 19:43There are, you know, Jacoby Lane's another late round shot to go with the John stripling.
  528. 19:48I think this is an interesting guy.
  529. 19:50I don't think the ADP moves up much more.
  530. 19:51He could be the, it could be like a preseason highlight reel situation that does move him up the
  531. 19:56ranks.
  532. 19:57But, um, I also don't think it's out of like, I love Cardinal Tate.
  533. 20:01He is my current by far rookie wide receiver leader.
  534. 20:05I don't think it's outside of the realm of possibility that at the end of the year, stripling
  535. 20:09is the best rookie wide receiver.
  536. 20:11He has the opportunity.
  537. 20:12He has a great head coach and he's got physical tools.
  538. 20:14Like the way that Debo was used by Shanahan to get the ball in his hands and let him do what
  539. 20:21he can do physically.
  540. 20:22That, that reminds me a lot of stripling, not in the big body tackle breaker, but he's
  541. 20:26four, three, six, like scheme him.
  542. 20:28Some of these plays where he gets the balls in his hand and just open space.
  543. 20:33Do you have any concern that, uh, you know, at least in recent memory.
  544. 20:39So like John Lynch has been the, the GM since 2017.
  545. 20:45Yes.
  546. 20:45They have not drafted.
  547. 20:46No, I have huge concern over that.
  548. 20:48So, I mean, like while we're getting all the, you know, the tire pumps are just blowing this
  549. 20:53stripling thing up.
  550. 20:55Are we confident that San Francisco actually got a pick?
  551. 20:58I mean, it's great that he's the 33rd pick or something like that, like a high second rounder.
  552. 21:03That doesn't mean that they did a good job.
  553. 21:04He was not someone that I think was super highly touted, like my Felix model, uh, has
  554. 21:10him with a good score with the draft capital.
  555. 21:12But when you take that out and you just have the pure talent score, it isn't, it isn't something
  556. 21:16where it's like, man, that guy should be the 33rd pick.
  557. 21:18So yeah, there's question marks, but the opportunity, the offense and the draft costs costs you nothing.
  558. 21:23Like just go ahead and take a shot.
  559. 21:25Last name to throw out there on performance climbers, Malik neighbors.
  560. 21:28Obviously we understand why that ADP is moving.
  561. 21:32Um, you know, he, he's gone up above a lava and Ted McMillan on sleeper in the third round.
  562. 21:39He was in the fourth.
  563. 21:41Uh, he's, he's moving up on Yahoo as well.
  564. 21:44He's on track to play week one barring setbacks, man.
  565. 21:49We, it's tough because I think about like our, our show yesterday, the top 10 wide receivers.
  566. 21:55And as soon as we got to like Jefferson, it was like Drake London.
  567. 21:59He's awesome guys.
  568. 22:00After the, the CD lamb tear break to me after the CD lamb, obviously the top four, I think
  569. 22:05are better than I, I put CD lamb right there.
  570. 22:07And then it's like, these are awesome guys, Jefferson and, and London and, and, and, uh,
  571. 22:12AJ Brown.
  572. 22:14It's like neighbors.
  573. 22:16Like, I don't know, man.
  574. 22:17Neighbors is right, right there.
  575. 22:20He's got very little competition.
  576. 22:22I think starting doesn't necessarily mean he's back to full form.
  577. 22:26And there have been questions about the offense.
  578. 22:29Do they concern you?
  579. 22:30I mean, yeah, Matt Nagy concerns everyone.
  580. 22:32It's not Nagy alone either.
  581. 22:34It's Nagy and Greg Roman combo.
  582. 22:36Oh man.
  583. 22:37These circus.
  584. 22:37Can they like cancel each other out though?
  585. 22:40No, no.
  586. 22:40You don't think two wrongs make a right?
  587. 22:42No, there's more of a square root situation.
  588. 22:44Yeah.
  589. 22:44It's a, it's a, we have an exponential gain or decline.
  590. 22:50I should say, do you guys see that Adam Gase has a job?
  591. 22:54Yeah.
  592. 22:54He's, he's way down on the, uh, he's on the chargers.
  593. 22:57Yeah.
  594. 22:57Offensive specialist somewhere down on the chargers.
  595. 22:59Who is giving these people jobs?
  596. 23:01That seemed like a pity job.
  597. 23:02He was so far down on the coaching list where it's like, okay, dude, you, you need a check.
  598. 23:06Uh, but I, I, when it, when it is literally just an injury, I hate it.
  599. 23:14I hate the analysis because I don't have the insight that the team has, but based off of
  600. 23:20the risk and the profile, uh, in the third round, I'm happy to draft Malik neighbors.
  601. 23:25I think everyone is.
  602. 23:26And I don't think he stays there.
  603. 23:27I think when drafts come around, he's going to be.
  604. 23:29Where is his second?
  605. 23:30I think second round is.
  606. 23:31Second round is Rushy Rice, Nico Collins.
  607. 23:33We have no dark neighbors data basically.
  608. 23:36Right.
  609. 23:37Ever.
  610. 23:37Correct.
  611. 23:38Yeah.
  612. 23:38It's wild.
  613. 23:39All right.
  614. 23:39That was performance climbers brought to you by GMC.
  615. 23:42We are professional grade.
  616. 23:43Let's take a break and we'll jump into, uh, well, I guess some news and then we'll.
  617. 23:47What?
  618. 23:48What?
  619. 23:49No, no, just like passing news and then we'll get into rankings.
  620. 23:56All right.
  621. 23:56Foot Clan, whether you are on the go or at home, T-Mobile, well, they're built to keep you connected
  622. 24:01wherever you're scouting your fantasy team.
  623. 24:04And that on the go part, that is important with America's best network.
  624. 24:07You'll be connected to the latest news and player projections.
  625. 24:10So when you're on the clock, you can draft a winning team.
  626. 24:13I can think of so many situations where that element of being connected while you're on
  627. 24:17the go is fundamental to fantasy football success.
  628. 24:20I'm in the midst of multiple leagues right now where I am responding to trade offers.
  629. 24:25We are massaging the trade offer.
  630. 24:26We want to make sure that I'm the one that gets the player, not another player manager
  631. 24:31in our league.
  632. 24:32So trade offers, when you're on the go, all the news that's breaking.
  633. 24:35So you don't make a mistake.
  634. 24:36And my favorite thing, maybe I'll mention it.
  635. 24:38Look, you're sitting and you have a quiet moment somewhere out and about.
  636. 24:42You want to jump in the UDK.
  637. 24:44We got the player profiles.
  638. 24:45You can watch all of those in there with T-Mobile.
  639. 24:47You can jump in on the player projections and our stat projections and all the 130,000 words
  640. 24:52of content.
  641. 24:53Again, T-Mobile making that easy to do.
  642. 24:56Every bit of news.
  643. 24:58Things are changing all the time.
  644. 24:59New player contracts, all that good stuff.
  645. 25:01So from off season to game day, every play is better with T-Mobile.
  646. 25:05What you got to do is visit T-Mobile.com slash network.

  651. 25:29J.K.
  652. 25:30Dobbins got hurt.
  653. 25:33John Payton said he'll be fine.
  654. 25:36Now, I will say, he said he's not going to miss a game.
  655. 25:40He guaranteed he's not missing a game.
  656. 25:41Which he is still not a liar.
  657. 25:43Still not, I guess, a liar.
  658. 25:45He did get injured in practice and leave with a trainer, but he's fine.
  659. 25:50Christian McCaffrey giving the day off with tightness.
  660. 25:53Just managing CMC, according to Clay Kubiak.
  661. 25:56Yeah, that seems fine.
  662. 25:57Josh Jacobs is going to be out for at least another week with a groin injury.
  663. 26:01These groins, man.
  664. 26:02People got to start doing that butterfly stretch more.
  665. 26:05I was really talking to...
  666. 26:07You think they're not doing that one?
  667. 26:09I think they're skipping.
  668. 26:09Obviously, they're skipping it.
  669. 26:11Squads, hammy, calf.
  670. 26:12Anything else we should stretch?
  671. 26:13No, coach.
  672. 26:15I do find myself...
  673. 26:17I want to be fully confident in Josh Jacobs.
  674. 26:22Dude.
  675. 26:23But when you mix the...
  676. 26:24The legal stuff got me out on him to start the offseason, and now he's banged up.
  677. 26:27And he missed...
  678. 26:28He's had problems staying healthy.
  679. 26:30I mean, last year was no exception to that.
  680. 26:32He missed with a knee injury.
  681. 26:35He missed with a knee and ankle.
  682. 26:37And then he was inactive to end the year.
  683. 26:39He was a machine the first 10 weeks.
  684. 26:42The world deserves Marshawn Lloyd.
  685. 26:45Does it?
  686. 26:46Oh, man.
  687. 26:46Yes.
  688. 26:47And let me update that.
  689. 26:49The world deserves to see what Marshawn Lloyd can actually do on a football field.
  690. 26:53Yeah, I mean, the world deserved to see that with Kendra Miller as well.
  691. 26:57Yeah, well, pick one.
  692. 26:58We don't always get what we deserve.
  693. 27:00And then Mike would like us to talk about the fact that...
  694. 27:04Well, it was all this negative stuff.
  695. 27:05Pat Bryant had been...
  696. 27:07I like how it's written in our doc.
  697. 27:08Pat Bryant rules per everyone.
  698. 27:11Obviously, Mike put that in there.
  699. 27:14I'm just sourcing.
  700. 27:16Pat Bryant has been a training camp highlight guy.
  701. 27:21The last two days on social media were unbelievable for Pat Bryant.
  702. 27:24For everyone to make sure that they know.
  703. 27:26Pat Bryant was a rookie wide receiver last year for the Broncos.
  704. 27:29Yes, third rounder.
  705. 27:30But I'm saying, like, you have good beat reporters who give us good information, really steaming up Pat Bryant.
  706. 27:39Some of them even saying, like, not only is the wide receiver three, but the transition to wide receiver two over the course of...
  707. 27:47Like, it might happen this year during the season.
  708. 27:49That would be over Sutton.
  709. 27:51And then Kay Adams said, how are you going to keep Pat Bryant off the field?
  710. 27:54And Sean Payton said, we're not.
  711. 27:55Yeah.
  712. 27:55So, there you go.
  713. 27:58Pat Bryant, something to pay attention to.
  714. 28:00The big thing for me with that is, you know, if it's Waddle and then Pat Bryant is stepping up into, like, a meaningful role,
  715. 28:09which he was hurt last year, didn't get a lot of opportunities, that's two big weapons that Bonex is picking up this offensive potentially.
  716. 28:17Sure.
  717. 28:17Sure.
  718. 28:18Let's get into the ranks.
  719. 28:22Running backs.
  720. 28:25All right.
  721. 28:27We are counting down the running backs.
  722. 28:2820 through 11 are consensus rankings.
  723. 28:32What makes an RB2?
  724. 28:33Over the last decade, running backs finishing in this range, 20 through 11, 70% average, 17 or more opportunities per game.
  725. 28:4377% had 1,100 or more yards, which, you know, that's a lot.
  726. 28:48And then 77% had eight or more total touchdowns.
  727. 28:52We'll start with Mike's guy, DeAndre Swift.
  728. 28:55Not to be confused with a Mike guy.
  729. 28:57Number 20.
  730. 28:59No, this is a Mike guy.
  731. 29:00Yeah, that's fine.
  732. 29:00For this offseason.
  733. 29:01That's fine.
  734. 29:02I'm in on DeAndre Swift, man.
  735. 29:04Well, you're in on the offense.
  736. 29:06Yep.
  737. 29:06Check.
  738. 29:07You're in on the forever dismissing DeAndre Swift, yet him producing part of his career.
  739. 29:13Now, he has always been a running back, too.
  740. 29:1618, 19, 22, 23, 19, 14.
  741. 29:19He got close this year, or last year.
  742. 29:21I don't know how a player, to me, looks so good and so bad on different plays.
  743. 29:26Mm-hmm.
  744. 29:27That's one of the things that is weird about DeAndre Swift.
  745. 29:30And it's also weird when you have played on, you know, three different franchises in a six-year career,
  746. 29:35and teams don't love you.
  747. 29:38Now, we thought maybe he would get dismissed or not used by Ben Johnson, and that's not been the case.
  748. 29:44Like, everything is set up for DeAndre Swift of offensive guru.
  749. 29:52Offensive guru came in and said, this offensive line is garbage.
  750. 29:56Here is money.
  751. 29:58Fix the problem.
  752. 29:59And they did.
  753. 30:00It doesn't always fix, but what they did, it worked out.
  754. 30:04Their rush success rate went from 21st to 3rd.
  755. 30:07Yards before contact.
  756. 30:08That's a huge one.
  757. 30:09That went from 26th to 6th.
  758. 30:12Their run block rank on PFF went from 14th to 3rd.
  759. 30:16And DeAndre Swift still goes in the middle rounds, and he's the pass catcher.
  760. 30:23You know, I like Kyle Winunga.
  761. 30:25I think he's a fun, interesting player towards the end of drafts.
  762. 30:29You can get him much later than Swift if you're wanting to do the,
  763. 30:32I want a piece of the Bears running back committee, I'll take the later one.
  764. 30:35That's fine.
  765. 30:36But I think that Swift is going to be the leader of it,
  766. 30:39and we're just going to see more of what we saw last year,
  767. 30:42potentially even better, not just because of Swift,
  768. 30:46because of Caleb and his command, you know,
  769. 30:49the projection of what can Caleb do in the second year of this offense,
  770. 30:53assuming Luther Burden is healthy.
  771. 30:56This thing should be, it can easily be a top five offense in the league,
  772. 31:00and Swift is the leader.
  773. 31:01And he's going to score a ton of fancy points.
  774. 31:03Yeah, I mean, he is as undesired by the masses as possible
  775. 31:09because you just don't see a path for him to really finish as a league winning
  776. 31:13top five back.
  777. 31:14He's been in the league long enough.
  778. 31:15We know what he is.
  779. 31:16He's a running back too.
  780. 31:17He's solid.
  781. 31:17He's good.
  782. 31:18He's out there for most games, which is great.
  783. 31:21He's a good pick in fantasy football.
  784. 31:24He's not a league winner, but he's a good pick.
  785. 31:25However, we talk about some of these guys behind, like when Manunga,
  786. 31:30when Swift missed week nine, Manunga was the running back three in fantasy football,
  787. 31:35had a ton of work.
  788. 31:37This is a great offense, a great offensive line,
  789. 31:39and a system that wants to run the ball.
  790. 31:42But obviously the other thing can happen too.
  791. 31:44Like should Manunga get injured, that is how Swift becomes a league winner.
  792. 31:47Yeah.
  793. 31:48There is that too.
  794. 31:49I think the red zone is an interesting conversation there.
  795. 31:52They basically split the work last year.
  796. 31:54It is something where Swift, I think him coming off the field half the time in the red zone
  797. 31:58is a limit to the ceiling.
  798. 32:03Yeah.
  799. 32:04He had 13.2 points per game last year.
  800. 32:07Like that's .2 points behind Saquon Barkley.
  801. 32:11And I mean, that was more points per game than Ashton Gentry.
  802. 32:16And it's like, but where he's going is not in the first or the second round.
  803. 32:20He's such a good pick to me.
  804. 32:2577% of RB2s have eight or more touchdowns.
  805. 32:28He was over that mark last year.
  806. 32:30Number 19 is Bucky Irving.
  807. 32:33I think one of the most polarizing.
  808. 32:36Not even polarizing.
  809. 32:37I mean, just like.
  810. 32:38Just wild card.
  811. 32:39Uncertain wild card players.
  812. 32:40He's only 23 years old, guys.
  813. 32:42I mean, Bucky is being drafted at RB19.
  814. 32:45So we're exactly at ADP there on him.
  815. 32:49The latest reports, because I think the.
  816. 32:52If we knew Bucky was going to get the workload that he got at the end of the rookie season
  817. 32:56that he started to get for his sophomore season.
  818. 32:58Bucky would be, you know, probably a low end RB1 as far as where he's being drafted.
  819. 33:05Now, the question is, while they lost Rashad White, they brought in Kenny Gainwell.
  820. 33:09And what is the utilization going to be?
  821. 33:11The early reports from camp are that the vast, vast majority of carries are going to Bucky Irving.
  822. 33:17He is like their running back.
  823. 33:20However, there's a lot of two running back sets now with Gainwell on the field.
  824. 33:26Gainwell is doing a ton of the passing work.
  825. 33:30And he so far in the last report that I saw in camp, he's getting more receiving work than Bucky.
  826. 33:35So that really does make sense.
  827. 33:37It does make sense.
  828. 33:39That's that's Gainwell so good at it.
  829. 33:41But it nerfs Irving's upside if he loses a ton of passing work to Kenny Gainwell.
  830. 33:47Yeah, I think I think we want to see the between the tackles runner that Bucky was as a rookie come back to light
  831. 33:55because there's going to be opportunity if the offensive line, which is ranked fifth and a Baker's healthy
  832. 34:00and you've got Zach Robinson, like there's a lot of upside to, you know, I think Bucky's a great pick if they're a top 10 offense.
  833. 34:07I think he's a bad pick if they're a bottom third offense like a lot of it depends on the surrounding situation to me.
  834. 34:17Yes.
  835. 34:17The hard part for Bucky is.
  836. 34:19The talent is there.
  837. 34:22How will he be used?
  838. 34:24Like if we're saying a lot of the running back receptions are going to Kenny Gainwell, that's a that's that's a negative for Bucky.
  839. 34:32And then last year, you know, obviously not a complete full season for Bucky, not a single carry inside the five.
  840. 34:39And if if if if this coaching staff is deciding we don't want Bucky doing the inside the five, he's not our goal line running back.
  841. 34:48And Kenneth Gainwell is more of the pass catching back than Bucky.
  842. 34:53Like you want the guy who's in on first and second down because that's where the true fantasy points are.
  843. 34:59But if that's just 20 to 20, you have a really big problem.
  844. 35:04Here's something interesting about all the players going in the range of Bucky Irving, which, by the way, it's Travion Henderson, but he's losing first and second down work.
  845. 35:13It's Travis Henderson.
  846. 35:15It's Travis H.
  847. 35:15And Jr.
  848. 35:16He's losing third down work, which is what Bucky's doing.
  849. 35:19It's Judkins losing third down work, which Bucky's doing.
  850. 35:22It's, you know, Bashal Tootin, who we think might lose goal line and my and third down, which is what Bucky might do.
  851. 35:29Like and then there's DeAndre Swift and then there's Swift.
  852. 35:31That's why I like Swift.
  853. 35:34Because he sure you can have question marks about Swift, but he's like almost two rounds cheaper than all those guys we were just talking about.
  854. 35:42Yep.
  855. 35:42And so are you?
  856. 35:43You know, you can is basically in the same area as well.
  857. 35:46And I think I take Cam Scadaboo over Bucky.
  858. 35:48So that's the question is, you know, when when you're on the clock and there was a negative.
  859. 35:53There was some negative news about Cam.
  860. 35:54Yeah.
  861. 35:55About Cam Scadaboo that he's coming off in all two minute drills to Tracy.
  862. 35:59That would be.
  863. 36:00I don't like that.
  864. 36:01Really bad.
  865. 36:02Oh, that would be Nagy.
  866. 36:03Yeah.
  867. 36:03No, that would be that math checks out.
  868. 36:06That math completely checks out.
  869. 36:08Of course, he'll come off.
  870. 36:09He's their best weapon in a two minute drill.
  871. 36:11So you got to you got to outthink yourself.
  872. 36:14You know, you got to make sure.
  873. 36:16They will never see it coming.
  874. 36:17No.
  875. 36:18I mean, they'll put Tracy on the field and be like, they are never going to give that guy.
  876. 36:22Why is it still red?
  877. 36:24Because why is it still red?
  878. 36:26It's because the hype train, I have to hit the button again to stop it.
  879. 36:29But the red alert, I don't.
  880. 36:31And I'm supposed to remember it all every time.
  881. 36:33Does Workman's Comp cover UV burns from panic alarms?
  882. 36:38It's my fault, Mike.
  883. 36:41I would like you to know it's my fault.
  884. 36:43But Tyrone Tracy will be the two minute back because he shouldn't be.
  885. 36:46See, that's why I get really scared with everything on that offense.
  886. 36:50That's why I get scared about neighbors being as good as he should be.
  887. 36:53It's why I get scared about Dart getting to do what he wants to do.
  888. 36:57I'm very scared of the Giants.
  889. 37:00Well, I've had this deck of playing cards that has not left the table.
  890. 37:08So looking forward to busting those out for the budget magician.
  891. 37:11But I do like scat more than Irvin.
  892. 37:13I think this is worth bringing up for the Foot Clan because we were talking about how in those early rounds,
  893. 37:19when we were going through, when we get to the Justin Jefferson and we get to the Drake London,
  894. 37:25and it's like obviously everyone at that point in the draft, they're great.
  895. 37:28But there's a lot of questions and that there's ways that it can go poorly,
  896. 37:32whereas there were really, really good running backs instead there.
  897. 37:36But now when we get to this point where we're like, I don't know about Bucky or Cam or a lot of these questions,
  898. 37:43Henderson, the wide receivers that are there are, you know, Devontae Smith and Lad McConkie and Emeka Egbuka and Zay Flowers.
  899. 37:50It's like, to me, I'm looking strategically at just the 2026 draft.
  900. 37:55I like the wide receivers here more than the running backs here.
  901. 37:58Almost like there's a running back dead zone, Jay.
  902. 38:00Yeah, basically.
  903. 38:01And it's moved up.
  904. 38:02It's moved up.
  905. 38:03I wouldn't say that I feel like any of the guys we've talked about so far, including this next name,
  906. 38:06I wouldn't feel comfortable as my RB2, though.
  907. 38:10Like, they're not in that.
  908. 38:11I'm not that level of afraid.
  909. 38:13I agree that I wouldn't be uncomfortable, but I just think that the odds are higher for some of these guys that it goes wrong.
  910. 38:19Ironically, this guy, I think he's pretty darn good.
  911. 38:24Javante Williams.
  912. 38:26I am the highest on Javante at 15.
  913. 38:28Oh, that's fine.
  914. 38:29I'm so proud.
  915. 38:32He was a running back 11 last year.
  916. 38:34Solid.
  917. 38:34Solid is the way to describe Javante.
  918. 38:36I am very happy for Javante.
  919. 38:37There's nothing spectacular about Javante's game anymore.
  920. 38:41It's just he's a great running back.
  921. 38:43He can handle a large volume.
  922. 38:47He had his best year points for game-wise last year, 14.1.
  923. 38:51He missed one game.
  924. 38:54His workload, his efficiency, everything went to a place where we were like week in and week out.
  925. 38:59Oh, look at Javante again.
  926. 39:01Oh, look at, I mean, there's an offense we love.
  927. 39:03He's not good in the receiving game, but he is used in the receiving game, which is enough.
  928. 39:07It was like Chuba.
  929. 39:08Chuba would get past the ball all the time and do nothing with it, fall over.
  930. 39:11He has the goal line back.
  931. 39:12He has the passing downs back.
  932. 39:13And he's the between the 20s back.
  933. 39:15So he is a true workhorse back for one of the offenses we're targeting.
  934. 39:20He's not necessarily the most explosive player where you're going to have some breakaway amazing season.
  935. 39:25But he's not aged out either.
  936. 39:27He's not an old man.
  937. 39:29So to me, it's like get a piece of the Cowboys offense.
  938. 39:31Get a piece of the Bengals offense, especially when those two running backs have no competition on the depth.
  939. 39:36He had eight total touchdowns inside the five for the previous four years.
  940. 39:41Last year, he had 10.
  941. 39:43Do you guys have?
  942. 39:45Big news.
  943. 39:46J.K.
  944. 39:46Dobbins is back out on the field in pads.
  945. 39:49That's right, babe.
  946. 39:50I told you.
  947. 39:51No news.
  948. 39:52Pretty remarkable.
  949. 39:53Nothing to see here.
  950. 39:54Pretty remarkable.
  951. 39:54Nothing to see here.
  952. 39:56Don't worry about it at all.
  953. 39:58I won't.
  954. 40:00But you should.
  955. 40:02Brees Hall.
  956. 40:03I think Jaden Blue is worth talking about because he was an absolute.
  957. 40:08He was nothing.
  958. 40:09Last year, there was what the Gucci Gucci cleat gate where the rookie showed up and thought he was hot stuff.
  959. 40:17And seemed like from that moment on, the team had to humble him.
  960. 40:23But the news on Blue is much, much better this year.
  961. 40:29So I'm just curious if you guys have any concerns for coming in.
  962. 40:34I want to yawn so much through what you're saying.
  963. 40:37Okay.
  964. 40:38I just want to like.
  965. 40:38I don't care at all.
  966. 40:40I couldn't care less.
  967. 40:41Yeah.
  968. 40:41And it's not.
  969. 40:42It's just those guys are just ancillary.
  970. 40:45I need a blow.
  971. 40:47Is it Mava or Blue?
  972. 40:48When you hear all the reports.
  973. 40:50Malik Davis is still there, too.
  974. 40:51Malik Davis.
  975. 40:51When you hear reports of like, I had to learn a big lesson rookie year and I've learned it.
  976. 40:57Like that.
  977. 40:57Okay.
  978. 40:58Great.
  979. 40:58Good for you, buddy.
  980. 40:59Here's what Javante did.
  981. 40:59Had a great season.
  982. 41:00They paid him more money.
  983. 41:01Yeah.
  984. 41:01I mean, he's the guy.
  985. 41:02I mean, if you want to talk like, okay, an injury happens to Javante.
  986. 41:07Is it Jaden Blue?
  987. 41:08But we're not even sure it's Jaden Blue.
  988. 41:09I have zero worries that someone's going to like take a chunk of work while Javante is healthy away from Javante.
  989. 41:15Here is a player that I am the highest of the three of us by a lot and I'm just really close to planting my flag on.
  990. 41:21Brees Hall at 17.
  991. 41:23I got him at 13.
  992. 41:25Jason at 17.
  993. 41:25Mike at 20.
  994. 41:26Mike a little bit behind ADP.
  995. 41:28Jason right there.
  996. 41:29I'm ahead.
  997. 41:31Look, he got the bag this offseason.
  998. 41:33Three-year extension.
  999. 41:35Guaranteed money.
1000. 41:361,400 yards from scrimmage in an offense last year.
1001. 41:39That was an utter embarrassment.
1002. 41:41But one of my favorite things I've read this offseason is just the fact that the drumbeat has been, one, I like the way the offensive line is trending.
1003. 41:51Two, they paid him the money.
1004. 41:53We don't have this cloud over the head of Brees where it's like they want him out of town.
1005. 41:59And then they've talked about featuring him more.
1006. 42:01They've literally, like, oh, is it Braylon Allen?
  1007. 42:04Imagine.
1008. 42:05You know, but they've literally talked about featuring Brees Hall, which they've kind of done against their will it feels like at times.
  1009. 42:12I think he is.
1010. 42:13I love the pick of yours of liking Brees this year.
1011. 42:18I think he's going to be very involved.
  1012. 42:21He's great as a pass catcher.
1013. 42:22We saw Gente last year propped up by Geno just from the dink and dunks, the little drop-offs.
1014. 42:28And that's Brees, one of his best parts of his game is taking those little dump-offs.
  1015. 42:35And he's going to play Friday.
  1016. 42:38He's still explosive.
1017. 42:39I mean, he has big plays.
1018. 42:41All the Jets starters playing Friday.
1019. 42:43Fourth and explosive rush rate, Brees Hall.
1020. 42:46Tenth and forced missed tackle rate.
  1021. 42:4836% of his carries, five-plus yards.
1022. 42:51They knew what they were doing.
1023. 42:53They knew what the Jets were doing.
  1024. 42:55They didn't have a passing game.
1025. 42:58And he still had success.
1026. 42:59He has always had success.
1027. 43:01They should have one of the more changed offensive lines.
  1028. 43:04So there's – and I think there's a lot of – we're tired with Brees Hall.
1029. 43:11After he was running back four as a sophomore, we got too hyped, and he disappointed a couple years in a row.
1030. 43:17But right now where he's being drafted, there is upside where he can finish as an RB1.
  1031. 43:24Obviously, he's not on a great team, not a great offense.
1032. 43:26The scoring opportunity is not going to be there.
  1033. 43:28But he's explosive.
1034. 43:29He's using the passing game.
  1035. 43:30He's their goal linebacker.
1036. 43:31He's basically everything that some of these other guys are, just not on a good offense.
  1037. 43:36All right.
1038. 43:36We'll take a quick break and come back with the rest of the rankings.
1039. 43:38What's going on, Foot Clan?
1040. 43:44If you know anything about this show, you know we're all about making leagues amazing.
1041. 43:47And part of that, as a commissioner, a lot of the times, I've set up websites for the different leagues that we're in.
1042. 43:52All of the teams and the players and the records and things like that.
1043. 43:55Love doing that for your league.
  1044. 43:56It makes it better.
  1045. 43:57Or maybe – maybe you're not the commissioner.
1046. 43:59Maybe you're not making a site for your league, but you've got a new side hustle.
1047. 44:02And you don't want to lose sleep over building a website for it.
  1048. 44:05You can launch a business.
1049. 44:07You can make it official in minutes with Wix Harmony, an AI-powered website builder that's also the first hybrid editor of its kind.
1050. 44:16Let me explain what that means.
1051. 44:17You can describe your idea.
1052. 44:18It builds you a fully functional website.
1053. 44:21And then you're not stuck with what the AI builds you.
1054. 44:23You can get in there.
  1055. 44:24You can give it a prompt.
1056. 44:25Or you can just go in and edit the images, the website, the different pages.
1057. 44:29You've also got ARIA, which is an AI agent specifically trained in website design and business strategy.
  1058. 44:35It's fully functional.
1059. 44:37It makes it super easy to get going.
1060. 44:39You can try it right now.
1061. 44:40Try Wix Harmony for free at Wix.com.
  1062. 44:43That's Wix.com.
  1063. 44:45All right.
1064. 44:49Cam Scadaboo comes in at 16 on the rankings.
1065. 44:51We did just talk about him quite a bit.
  1066. 44:55It was awesome as a rookie.
1067. 44:58You know, he was number one in the entire NFL in terms of the percentage of his rushing yards after contact.
1068. 45:04Like, he got it done.
1069. 45:05He could fight through tackles.
1070. 45:06Everything you saw on the college tape, he just translated right into doing it to, you know, linebackers and, you know, corners and everything else at that.
1071. 45:14Only Ken Bone Walker had a higher forced missed tackle rate.
  1072. 45:17Yeah, he was awesome.
1073. 45:18I mean, he brought it up, too, of like, that's his way of avoiding punishment.
1074. 45:23You know, when we were chatting with him, it was like, if he hits you first, then his legs don't take punishment.
  1075. 45:31He doesn't take that damage.
1076. 45:32He is totally fine to damage his head so long as he's saving his legs.
1077. 45:37Yeah, and he was just great.
1078. 45:3817.4 fancy points per game in his starts.
1079. 45:41But I just am at this place where I don't know how prescriptive anything they did last year was.
1080. 45:46You know, Tracy, how often do you involve him?
1081. 45:49You know, what does Dart and this offense look like?
  1082. 45:51I don't know the answer.
1083. 45:53Matt Nagy, Greg Roman, Brian Callahan, that trio scares the living daylights out of me.
1084. 45:59They're also going to be.
  1085. 46:01Yeah, I mean, but Cam is.
  1086. 46:03Triforce of sour.
1087. 46:05We were so close to Cliff here.
1088. 46:07But Cam is just kind of, he's the kind of guy that more momentum in the game, more opportunities in the game.
  1089. 46:15He wears people down.
1090. 46:17So I hope that this offensive brain trust can recognize that and not take him off the field.
  1091. 46:23I could easily.
1092. 46:23Just to say that you have a third down back.
1093. 46:25Yeah, I could see it happening down the stretch where the choice is kind of taken away from them.
1094. 46:30You know, I would not be surprised if you come out and week one and for the month of the season, it is a three-way committee.
1095. 46:37You know, they get Devin Singletary, his, and then Tyrone Tracy.
1096. 46:42Tyrone Tracy is the two-minute back and some passing downs back.
1097. 46:46And first and second down is Cam.
1098. 46:48But I do think as the season goes on, kind of what happened in his rookie season, you just see, like, we can't really take this guy off the field.
1099. 46:55He can do it all.
  1100. 46:56He's really, really good.
1101. 46:57So I expect him to have a better second half than the first half.
1102. 47:00He's a scary pick to me because there are ways it could easily go wrong, even though love the talent, love the player.
1103. 47:06And if you had the right coordinator, like, and maybe they do.
1104. 47:10Maybe they just say you are our.
1105. 47:12This is a team that wants to run the ball for sure.
1106. 47:14They want to run the ball.
1107. 47:16I said that they have a good defense early in the offseason.
  1108. 47:19They didn't last year.
1109. 47:20I think they're going to have a good defense.
  1110. 47:23Yeah.
  1111. 47:23That's bold.
  1112. 47:24Time will tell.
  1113. 47:25They're not.
1114. 47:25The problem with that is best laid plans for teams that are underdogs a lot.
1115. 47:29It can take away your running game.
  1116. 47:32Yeah.
1117. 47:32I mean, are they going to be above 500?
1118. 47:34But that's the thing with Scadaboo is that he should be involved in all three.
1119. 47:39You know, he should be he should be a pass catching back.
  1120. 47:42He's.
  1121. 47:43That's like I know he's seen as this.
1122. 47:46Are you comfortable with him as your RB1?
  1123. 47:46No way.
  1124. 47:47OK.
1125. 47:47I want to know when we get to a name today on the 20 through 11 or you might be comfortable with him.
  1126. 47:52Yeah.
  1127. 47:52No way.
1128. 47:53If you went heavy wide receiver played onesie in the draft.
  1129. 47:57So I was his offensive coordinator.
1130. 47:58I'd be I would take him running back four because I would just give him the ball 30 times.
1131. 48:02And the injury is still like he is still recovering from major injury.
1132. 48:05The earlier on, if you, you know, if we can pull any of the trends from.
1133. 48:10So 2017, he was the OC talking Matt Nagy.
1134. 48:16He was the OC of the Kansas City Chiefs.
1135. 48:17That was one of the Kareem Hunt years where it was Kareem Hunt led the league in rushing.
1136. 48:23You don't dismiss that for Andy Reid, though?
  1137. 48:25Well, I just hold on.
  1138. 48:26OK.
  1139. 48:27So he led.
  1140. 48:28So tons of 272 carries, 63 targets.
1141. 48:32Matt Nagy parlays that into becoming the head coach of the Chicago Bears, which to his credit
1142. 48:37had incredible success in year one.
1143. 48:40Running back wise, it was Jordan Howard was at 250 carries, only 26 targets because it's
  1144. 48:46Jordan Howard.
1145. 48:47The next year we had Montgomery at 242 carries, 35 targets.
1146. 48:52And then that followed up with Montgomery 247, 68 targets.
1147. 48:57So he's I'm saying it's not out of the like, it's not like when we're looking at Monkin,
1148. 49:04where it's like there's just the stretch, you know, like he's got a guy who for sure carries
  1149. 49:09the ball.
1150. 49:09And then he has a guy who for sure catches the ball.
1151. 49:12It he utilizes or, you know, at least has used his guys sort of correctly.
1152. 49:20We'll see if he can continue that.
1153. 49:22Definitely the ceiling case for Scadaboo is an RB one.
1154. 49:25Like, yes, he can easily finish as an RB one.
1155. 49:28It's just a scary process of where you're putting your trust.
1156. 49:31Well, 15 is Jeremiah Love of the Arizona Cardinals, 21 years old.
1157. 49:37I mean, everything you could ever want in a feature back skill wise elite in every way.
1158. 49:45I mean, he is a dominant receiver.
1159. 49:50But you're on the Cardinals and you're on Cardinals offense that has Tyler Algier.
1160. 49:56I mean, I haven't heard a whisper about a play from James Conner this offseason.
1161. 50:00Maybe you guys think he's still hurt.
1162. 50:02OK, well, maybe that explains it because I mean, that doubt because all I've seen is is Algier
1163. 50:07and Jeremiah Love sharing work, which is a is an issue, at least the way that they have
1164. 50:13publicly talked about James Conner.
1165. 50:15Like they're still talking about him as he is very much in the plans for for the running
  1166. 50:21back room.
1167. 50:21And he's not even I've seen him out on the practice field.
  1168. 50:24That's why I'm confused.
1169. 50:25Not not playing, but like talking to coaches and stuff.
  1170. 50:27So and in pads.
1171. 50:29So I'm a little bit confused about like there's a lot of rumors about Conner filling in gaps
  1172. 50:34in different teams.
1173. 50:35Like maybe the Lions with the MCL sprain to Pacheco go after James Conner to be a backup
1174. 50:40to Gibbs situations like that where the running back rooms are thinned out a little bit.
1175. 50:46I think that the Marshawn Lloyd inevitably gets hurt that the that you've had Conner recovering
1176. 50:51from his injury and then Trey Benson continues to be hurt.
1177. 50:54I think that that probably weighs in right now of the Cardinals.
1178. 50:59Like, do we have a third running back that we know we can at least get on the field?
1179. 51:03Jinty was the RB six in ADP last year.
  1180. 51:08First round pick.
1181. 51:10Bijan was the third running back as a rookie prospect.
1182. 51:15Zeke was the third running back off the board as a rookie prospect.
  1183. 51:19Love is now 13.
  1184. 51:21Like we you aren't paying.
  1185. 51:24I don't hate it.
  1186. 51:25A ton of money.
1187. 51:26I mean, if you trust LaFleur at all in making decisions that are advantageous to his team
1188. 51:33scheme wise, like the improvement from Gannon to LaFleur on offense.
1189. 51:39Like if you if you go, what is that?
  1190. 51:41Rational coaching.
  1191. 51:42Yes.
1192. 51:43The fallacy of your path to victory is Jeremiah.
1193. 51:45I love getting as much work as possible at 21 years old with the third pick in the draft.
1194. 51:51I guess I'm just curious if that discount is enough for you to take a shot at.
  1195. 51:55I I'm OK with it.
1196. 51:58I've spent most of the offseason being kind of prepped and concerned to be completely
1197. 52:03out on Jeremiah Love running back 13.
1198. 52:06Even, you know, the rankings and projections is slightly behind that.
1199. 52:10Trying to factor in some dumbness from from what the coaches are doing.
1200. 52:16But prospect wise is like I think Love is a better prospect than Jinty was.
1201. 52:22I think he is a better prospect than Bijon was like this is a true elite player to me.
  1202. 52:28And I just that.
1203. 52:30So Bijon went at the running back three in for ADP wise when he was a rookie.
1204. 52:35And it's not all that dissimilar to me of, you know, like this is not going to be a good
  1205. 52:41team.
  1206. 52:42It's a highly drafted running back.
1207. 52:43They should fully feature him.
1208. 52:45Now, you know, he got Algier to bit.
1209. 52:49Ironically, in the world we are in, James or Jeremiah Love will get Algier a little bit.
1210. 52:55That's the question is like when they get inside the five, who's going to be in there?
1211. 53:00Is it going to rotate?
1212. 53:01Is it going to be Algier or will it for sure be Love?
1213. 53:03Because if it's for sure Love running back 13 is can't you make the problem?
1214. 53:07It's not it's not for sure Love.
1215. 53:09I mean, it's it's going to be at the very best.
  1216. 53:13I think it'll be a rotation.
1217. 53:14They will bring Tyler Algier in on the goal line in certain situations because he's good.
1218. 53:19They did it with Bijon even into Bijon's career, not just when he was a rookie because
1219. 53:24Tyler Michael Carter with Reese Hall.
  1220. 53:27Right.
1221. 53:27And going back to Brees Hall, if you look at, you know, LaFleur was the OC during Brees
1222. 53:34Hall's rookie season where he wasn't even as highly drafted a guy.
1223. 53:38And they had Michael Carter second rounder.
  1224. 53:40He recently took over.
1225. 53:41Brees was averaging 16.4 fantasy points a game before he got injured in his rookie season
  1226. 53:46on pace for 200 carries, 62 targets.
1227. 53:50I believe that Love will get enough work.
1228. 53:53He will get vultured on the on the goal line too much.
1229. 53:57He will also not be someone that in his rookie season is getting 275 carries on the ground.
1230. 54:03This will be he will he will be more around 200 carries.
  1231. 54:07And you're hoping he gets like 60 or 70 targets.
  1232. 54:11If 70 would be insane.
  1233. 54:12It would be awesome.
1234. 54:13That might be the argument for Love entirely.
1235. 54:16You're going to you're not just underdogs in every single one of your games.
1236. 54:19You're double digit underdogs in four of your first six and seven and eight and a half
1237. 54:24point in the other two.
1238. 54:25So Algiers not going to be out there on these on these comeback attempts.
  1239. 54:29Right.
1240. 54:29Isn't it going to be Jeremiah?
1241. 54:30It should be like check down Charlie situation.
  1242. 54:33It should be Love.
1243. 54:34And so if he gets 200 rushing attempts and we'll call it 65 targets, he should be an
1244. 54:41ADP of being the running back 13.
1245. 54:43He just finishes an RB one.
1246. 54:44Historically, since 2015, here's running backs drafted in the top 10 of the NFL draft.
  1247. 54:52Barkley finished at two.
  1248. 54:53Zeke at two.
  1249. 54:54Bijan was nine.
1250. 54:55Gentry, it was it felt really bad.
  1251. 54:57And it was 12.
  1252. 54:58McCaffrey was 11.
  1253. 55:00Trent Richardson was eight.
  1254. 55:01Leonard Fournette was eight.
1255. 55:02And Todd Gurley, even coming off of the ACL injury, finished at seven.
1256. 55:08So I mean, historically, this is a, you know, the top 10 running back in the NFL draft is
1257. 55:13a great bet for fantasy.
  1258. 55:16RB 13.
  1259. 55:17I've Gentry.
  1260. 55:17I think I'm in.
1261. 55:18Gentry is why Love is going to be a fine pick this year.
1262. 55:21Like, Gentry made everyone get too hot and bothered.
1263. 55:24He was the running back six drafted last year.
1264. 55:26And he was a bust, even though he finishes an RB one, because he didn't return on that
  1265. 55:30value.
1266. 55:30You're not drafting Jeremiah Love in the first round.
1267. 55:33He's absolutely fine where he's going right now.
  1268. 55:35Number 14 is Kyron Williams.
1269. 55:37The hotly debated Kyron Williams.
  1270. 55:39I got him at 19.
  1271. 55:40Jason at 12.
  1272. 55:40Mike at 16.
  1273. 55:42Yeah, just right.
  1274. 55:44I mean, Kyron's a very good player.
1275. 55:45He's not an explosive breakaway type of guy.
  1276. 55:49He's a high opportunity.
  1277. 55:50He's a grinder.
1278. 55:51The big argument for me is just look at the data.
1279. 55:54There's a team that was pressing for the Super Bowl pre-buy week.
1280. 55:58Kyron was getting 72% of the running back opportunities.
  1281. 56:01Post-buy week, it was 57%.
1282. 56:03Yes, he performs statistically for fantasy, but it's a law of averages thing for me where
1283. 56:09if the team has made a decision to share the running back workload, you're going to have
1284. 56:14a reduced effectiveness for Kyron at some point in time.
1285. 56:17I think Corum is awesome.
1286. 56:19All the offseason reports have been great.
1287. 56:21So I think there will be a slightly reduced running back workload for Kyron.
1288. 56:25So I have him slightly below ADP.
1289. 56:27I'm in four spots below ADP.
1290. 56:28I don't think that's weird because you have to decide what you think the team is going
  1291. 56:32to do.
1292. 56:33It would seem like you won't have any Kyron on your team, though.
1293. 56:35I will have no Kyron on my team.
1294. 56:37No, I will have lots of Blake Corum on my team.
  1295. 56:39Yeah, Corum was inconsistent.
  1296. 56:40He won't be a my guy because he's still too...
1297. 56:44I don't think he takes over the job from Kyron.
1298. 56:46I don't think that that's in the realm of possibilities.
  1299. 56:48Corum becomes the RB1.
1300. 56:50I think Kyron stays the RB1, but I think you've seen a progression of running back opportunities
  1301. 56:56reduced for Kyron Williams.
  1302. 56:58And that's something I don't like at his ADP.
1303. 57:01Jay, is it my turn?
  1304. 57:02Yeah.
  1305. 57:03Kyron Williams...
1306. 57:04I ceded my time to the fine analysts on my left.
1307. 57:08Kyron Williams is a very good running back who is part of the heart and soul of this team
1308. 57:14that is their lead back, that is paid, that gave him the contract to be the man.
1309. 57:21Blake Corum is very good.
  1310. 57:23And don't hear what I'm not saying.
  1311. 57:24Corum is a good fantasy pick.
1312. 57:26I put out a tweet of the insurance backs.
  1313. 57:29He's a league winner.
1314. 57:30Should Kyron go down, Corum is awesome.
1315. 57:32Corum can be more involved and Kyron still be a fantastic pick in fantasy.
  1316. 57:38And that's what's going to happen.
1317. 57:40Corum is going to be more involved and be fine.
1318. 57:42And Kyron is going to be a good pick in fantasy.
1319. 57:45He's been a running back one the last three years.
1320. 57:47He's on one of, if not the best offense in the league, right?
1321. 57:51You guys, you know, he's in that total upper echelon, especially when the only reason I wouldn't
1322. 57:56put the Rams necessarily with the Bengals and the Cowboys and the Lions is because their
  1323. 58:02defense is good.
1324. 58:03But that's good for the running back.
1325. 58:04That means at the end of the game, they're running the ball more and more and more.
  1326. 58:08More opportunities for Kyron.
1327. 58:10When Corum was super involved at the end of the year and they both had 11 carries inside
1328. 58:15the five, like they were both used as goal line backs, Kyron was averaging 14 and a half
  1329. 58:21fantasy points a game.
1330. 58:23Kyron turned his 11 into six touchdowns while Corum turned his 11 into three touchdowns.
1331. 58:29Kyron is not going away.
1332. 58:30Kyron is the leader and he will score a ton of fantasy points.
1333. 58:35Will he be the, you know, 85% bell cow, the Christian McCaffrey?
1334. 58:40No, but that doesn't mean he's a bad pick where he's going right now in fantasy drafts.
1335. 58:44He's just like, I'll tell you what, would I be comfortable with Kyron Williams as my running
  1336. 58:48back one?
  1337. 58:48Absolutely.
1338. 58:49He, I see him as a, as a guaranteed running back one for fantasy.
  1339. 58:54Yeah.
  1340. 58:54And that's where, I mean, I'm not alone.
1341. 58:56And I addressed all of the things you said and when I spoke, so I don't need to go back
  1342. 59:00and do it again.
1343. 59:02He's being drafted at RB 15 outside the RB one category.
1344. 59:05It's not the consensus opinion that he's an RB one.
1345. 59:07He has to be a favorite among running backs for double digit touchdowns.
  1346. 59:11He is.
  1347. 59:12He is.
1348. 59:12The draft Kings, uh, they're going to be on the line.
  1349. 59:16They scored 65 times.
  1350. 59:17Yeah.
  1351. 59:17And like, there's plenty to go around for a one a and a one B.
  1352. 59:22Yep.
1353. 59:22But I mean, I, I think it will be the turning of the page towards a new paradigm and, and,
1354. 59:28and, and Kyle says his projection, his line is nine and a half touchdowns, rushing touchdowns.
  1355. 59:33So that's not even receiving.
  1356. 59:34Yeah.
1357. 59:34I've got him four spots lower than ADP.
  1358. 59:36So that's, that's what I think of Corum.
1359. 59:38Jason's got him three spots higher than ADP.
1360. 59:40At 13 comes Josh Jacobs, 28 years old, dealing with the groin.
1361. 59:44We've all got him about the same spot.
  1362. 59:46Yeah.
1363. 59:46We'll, we'll see if he stays here.
1364. 59:48Most touchdowns inside the 10 in the NFL over the last two years, huge part of the offense.
1365. 59:55It's, it's really, you know, we can say all the jokes or whatever about, you know, Marshawn
1366. 1:00:00Lloyd finally getting an opportunity.
1367. 1:00:01If, if Jacobs is healthy, they don't care about Marshawn Lloyd.
1368. 1:00:05This team cares about giving Jacobs the rock because he thrives on more and more
1369. 1:00:10opportunities on being out there for his team.
1370. 1:00:14You know, there is just, it's not a very messy situation outside of injury to me.
  1371. 1:00:20There's, is he healthy?
  1372. 1:00:21He's dominant.
  1373. 1:00:23Is he not healthy?
1374. 1:00:24He's not on the field.
1375. 1:00:25I mean, that to me, it's very simple.
  1376. 1:00:27He's a goal line machine.
1377. 1:00:29They figured that out and they score every time they give him the ball near the goal line.
1378. 1:00:34He, he was so consistent.
1379. 1:00:36He was, I got to think he was.
1380. 1:00:38First nine weeks last year before injury on pace for 21 touchdowns on the ground and 64
  1381. 1:00:44targets with 52 receptions.
  1382. 1:00:46Yeah.
1383. 1:00:47That's just auto, auto RB one.
1384. 1:00:49I had him last year.
1385. 1:00:50I mean, it was our league of record team.
1386. 1:00:52I had the Jonathan Taylor and Josh Jacobs.
1387. 1:00:55It seems hard to remember how good they were now in the first half of the year.
  1388. 1:00:59Yeah, that's fair.
1389. 1:00:59But they were genuinely unbelievably dominant and then he got injured, dealt with that kind
1390. 1:01:05of played through it when he shouldn't have, then got punished again.
1391. 1:01:09It was a weird, wacky end of the season because of it.
1392. 1:01:12But yeah, I mean, those, those first nine weeks, he was the running back five favored
1393. 1:01:16in the first six weeks of the year.
1394. 1:01:18Green Bay is, I will not argue anything about the touchdowns, but I, I'm curious of the just,
1395. 1:01:26you know, lack of explosive plays and you know, he's grinding it out.
1396. 1:01:32He's maybe he's doing what the team wants him to do, but he, this is a situation that
1397. 1:01:36I think is primed for someone else to get more work than you're hoping.
  1398. 1:01:42Saquon Barkley comes in at 12.
  1399. 1:01:45Oh boy.
  1400. 1:01:46It's a, it's a nerve wracking player to, to draft, but he's at 12.
1401. 1:01:51So again, everybody here is our consensus rankings.
1402. 1:01:53Jason's taking the shot at, uh, four spots lower.
  1403. 1:01:57I don't feel good about it.
1404. 1:01:58So my, my, the, the, which according to our Kyron Corum analysis means he hates him beyond
  1405. 1:02:04all measure.
1406. 1:02:05How do you respond to hating Saquon Barkley, Jason?
1407. 1:02:08I would say that it's rare for a running back at 30 to get better than the year prior when
1408. 1:02:15they start to statistically like lose a step.
1409. 1:02:19Now there are rational thoughts on how it can happen.
1410. 1:02:23Last year, the injuries to Lane Johnson and the offensive line for the Eagles might be
1411. 1:02:27the reason why it wasn't the age to Barkley.
1412. 1:02:29It was the offensive line situation that caused Barkley to be less efficient.
1413. 1:02:33That makes sense as a whole was pretty dry paper.
1414. 1:02:37Petulo was a terrible offensive coordinator and now they've got Mannion and the offensive
  1415. 1:02:41line should be better.
1416. 1:02:43Also another humongous change for this offense is Jalen Hurts who never was really under center.
1417. 1:02:49When he was under center, the offense was very good under center play action.
1418. 1:02:52Those things, they're really, really good for the running back position.
1419. 1:02:56So he is focusing on being under center much more.
1420. 1:03:00The offensive line is better.
  1421. 1:03:01That's all great.
1422. 1:03:02But when you look at last year and you say, well, Saquon was inefficient because of Petulo,
1423. 1:03:06because of the offensive line, Tank Bigsby was awesome.
1424. 1:03:10When he got the ball, he didn't have any problems whatsoever behind that line.
1425. 1:03:15And what we've seen in camp, maybe it's, you know, look, it's smart.
  1426. 1:03:19Saquon's going to be 30.
1427. 1:03:19Don't just run him into the ground.
1428. 1:03:21But Tank has been more and more involved in camp.
1429. 1:03:23And so I wouldn't be surprised if this year it's going to be the Saquon show.
1430. 1:03:28But I think that Tank will get more than he has in the past.
1431. 1:03:33And Saquon has been getting the entirety of it.
1432. 1:03:36He's been getting like the full Christian McCaffrey type of workload.
1433. 1:03:40So being 30 years old, having lost efficiency last year, and the potential for work to be
  1434. 1:03:47seeded, that's just, that's why I'm scared.
1435. 1:03:50But I'm also like terrified that Saquon could be, if you say like, could Saquon be the running
  1436. 1:03:57back one this year?
1437. 1:03:59I'd say, yeah, he could.
1438. 1:04:01He could end up with, you know, 1,600 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns and still be involved
  1439. 1:04:07in the passing game.
1440. 1:04:08But I bypass him in most drafts where he's going.
1441. 1:04:11He's being drafted as the running back seven.
  1442. 1:04:13And I like other backs there.
1443. 1:04:15You like Omari and Hampton more?
  1444. 1:04:17Yes.
1445. 1:04:18Omari and Hampton comes in at 11 to round out today's episode.
1446. 1:04:2123 years old, was great when he was on the field, but wasn't on the field a bunch last
  1447. 1:04:25year.
  1448. 1:04:25Mike, you're the lowest.
1449. 1:04:26The comments in the last, you know, 24 hours are, you know, the Twittersphere's abuzz about
1450. 1:04:33Mike McDaniel saying that the, you know, doing his trolling thing of bad news, fantasy owners,
  1451. 1:04:39good.
1452. 1:04:39I see all three of these guys speaking of Vidal, Hampton, and Mitchell performing at a high
  1453. 1:04:44level.
  1454. 1:04:45But that's not possible.
1455. 1:04:46No, nor is it like customary for Mike McDaniel and what he does on the offensive play calling
  1456. 1:04:53side.
1457. 1:04:54Like he, you remember the comments he had about, um, I think it was Ollie Gordon.
1458. 1:04:58And when he's just like, he'll have either all of the snaps or some of the snaps or zero
1459. 1:05:03snaps in the upcoming game.
  1460. 1:05:04Yeah.
  1461. 1:05:04He's a troll.
1462. 1:05:05He does like trolling the fantasy football community.
  1463. 1:05:09I think it's very important.
  1464. 1:05:11I'll say this.
1465. 1:05:11I think it's very important that Omari and Hampton establishes himself early in the season.
  1466. 1:05:15That that's what I think is important.
1467. 1:05:17Now, if you want to start the year against Arizona, Las Vegas and be double digit favorites
1468. 1:05:21in the first two games, that's an awesome opportunity to do that.
  1469. 1:05:24Establish it.
1470. 1:05:25But, you know, I think Keaton Mitchell is kind of a player that Mike McDaniel wants to use
1471. 1:05:30in the passing game and, and really in inventive ways in this offense.
1472. 1:05:34I don't look at Vidal as a threat to Hampton if he's healthy.
  1473. 1:05:38No, but Vidal is.
1474. 1:05:40But I think I, I think I don't know what the real range of outcomes for Hampton is.
1475. 1:05:43So just tell me so I know whether to trade him or not.
  1476. 1:05:45I don't see Hampton.
1477. 1:05:46Well, I want you to trade him to me.
  1478. 1:05:48So I would.
1479. 1:05:48Yeah, we were talking some trades yesterday.
1480. 1:05:50I would make the bear case.
1481. 1:05:51But in truth, I think that there is a extreme likelihood that you get 18 touches a game for
  1482. 1:05:59Hampton.
1483. 1:06:00And if Hampton's getting 18 touches a game behind a good offensive line, I think he will
  1484. 1:06:04be great.
1485. 1:06:04This is a team where the defense is good.
  1486. 1:06:07The offense is good.
1487. 1:06:08The offensive line is extremely improved.
1488. 1:06:10The offensive coordinator is improved.
1489. 1:06:12This is also an offensive coordinator in the past who had two top five running backs at
1490. 1:06:16the same time for fantasy on the same team.
1491. 1:06:17So I'm not worried about the other guys when it, when, you know, it was Raheem Morris and
1492. 1:06:21Devon H and if you've got talent or Moster.
  1493. 1:06:24Yes.
  1494. 1:06:25What did I say?
  1495. 1:06:26More.
  1496. 1:06:26Yeah.
1497. 1:06:27That's not the running back.
  1498. 1:06:29No, no, no.
1499. 1:06:30Moster and H and so I, I, I pretty much love all the situation.
1500. 1:06:35I really liked the player coming out of college, which obviously the team did too.
1501. 1:06:38They spent a first round pick on him and he was very good.
1502. 1:06:42You could talk about like, there are different ways to spin all the deeper analytic numbers.
1503. 1:06:47I see people talk about how inefficient he was here.
1504. 1:06:50And then I see that, look, the numbers that show he was the most efficient, just the best.
1505. 1:06:54It's like, just watch the tape.
  1506. 1:06:56He was very good.
1507. 1:06:57He, he did things on his own and he, he had very little to work with, with the offensive
  1508. 1:07:02line.
1509. 1:07:02I think that the offensive line with the improvement at center and both tackles will be awesome.
1510. 1:07:06Can he be a top five back?
  1511. 1:07:07Absolutely.
1512. 1:07:08I believe he can be.
  1513. 1:07:09You believe that Mike?
  1514. 1:07:10I do.
1515. 1:07:10I'm, I like my projection and ranking has me out on Hampton and it, this is a, it's
1516. 1:07:17a real weird one of like everything is there.
1517. 1:07:23Everything is there for, for Hampton to be what exactly what you want for fantasy football.
1518. 1:07:29And yet there's just, you know, the, the cup, the, the, the, the, the tiny little variables
1519. 1:07:35where you're like, yeah, you have to kind of trust that like makes me unsure.
1520. 1:07:39Like, like Omarion Hampton's a first round running back.
1521. 1:07:42Me and Jason fell in love with his collegiate tape and you have to do the chargers.
1522. 1:07:47You have to fundamentally believe that that guy is much, much, much better than Kamani
1523. 1:07:54Vidal on a per down basis for this team.
1524. 1:07:57And that that will win out.
1525. 1:07:58If you look at opportunities per game on year two running backs who were first round picks,
1526. 1:08:03all of them, the opportunities per game where Rashad Penny was down at seven and Clyde Edwards
1527. 1:08:08a layer who turned out sucked.
1528. 1:08:10And we found out, out pretty quick.
1529. 1:08:12He was the first time running back.
  1530. 1:08:13Yes, I know.
  1531. 1:08:14That's what I'm saying.
  1532. 1:08:14These are all 14.
  1533. 1:08:15He had 14 opportunities a game.
  1534. 1:08:16Still a pretty good amount.
  1535. 1:08:18Everyone else was 16, 18, 19, 19, 20, 21, 21, 21, 22, 22, 23, 28.
1536. 1:08:24He's going to get the work.
  1537. 1:08:25Yeah.
  1538. 1:08:25And he's good.
1539. 1:08:27So just maybe don't worry about the trolling by Mike McDaniel.
  1540. 1:08:31Let's do a couple mailbag questions.
  1541. 1:08:35Mailbag.
  1542. 1:08:37Mailbag.
  1543. 1:08:38Yeah.
  1544. 1:08:38Pete in Jersey.
1545. 1:08:40Should I keep Tett McMillan in the fourth or Tyler Warren in the seventh?
  1546. 1:08:43What would you do?
1547. 1:08:43Oh, I would take Warren in the seventh.
1548. 1:08:47I would take Tyler Warren.
  1549. 1:08:49I lean Tett there.
  1550. 1:08:52Man.
  1551. 1:08:53But I don't think you can make a wrong choice there.
  1552. 1:08:56Alec Pierce.
1553. 1:08:57Did he or did he?
1554. 1:08:58Is Tett going right around there already?
1555. 1:08:59Tett's going right in the fourth.
  1556. 1:09:00Yeah.
  1557. 1:09:00So maybe Warren.
  1558. 1:09:01He's at the 3-4 tournament.
1559. 1:09:02Warren's got to be going fifth, sixth though, right?
  1560. 1:09:04Yeah.
1561. 1:09:04What in the world is going on with Alec Pierce?
  1562. 1:09:07So.
  1563. 1:09:07Did he get a shot?
1564. 1:09:08Did he, the second shot?
1565. 1:09:10Did he not get it?
1566. 1:09:11He did not get a second shot.
1567. 1:09:12Why is it being reported to get it?
1568. 1:09:12If he did get a second shot, it's normal.
  1569. 1:09:15According to the doctors.
1570. 1:09:16Either way, nothing to see here.
1571. 1:09:18So I look at, there is something to see there.
1572. 1:09:20I'm not going to stick my head in the sand.
  1573. 1:09:21I don't, I don't want.
1574. 1:09:23Like there are no good vibes around Alec Pierce right now.
  1575. 1:09:27The end.
1576. 1:09:28I mean, until he's on the field and looks like himself, which by the way,
1577. 1:09:32two years in a row of leading the league in yards per reception,
1578. 1:09:34you kind of need your wheels.
1579. 1:09:36So, and, and from what I understand, ankle is part of the running process.
1580. 1:09:41So it is connected to the, part of the wheel.
1581. 1:09:44You know, it's the Tyler Warren thing.
1582. 1:09:46Like the only thing I'll say about Tyler Warren that needs to be said is that
1583. 1:09:51when he didn't have MVP level, Daniel Jones,
1584. 1:09:55he never hit double digits in fantasy production.
1585. 1:09:58That's, you know, is a regular Daniel Jones versus MVP.
1586. 1:10:02I mean, they were an eight and one team.
  1587. 1:10:03They were dominating.
  1588. 1:10:04Yeah.
1589. 1:10:05Ken, are we going to see that again?
  1590. 1:10:07I hope so.
  1591. 1:10:08Tyler Warren.
1592. 1:10:09And I saw some clips of him at camp this morning and it was like,
1593. 1:10:13it was funny because everybody's commentary on him.
  1594. 1:10:15And I kind of agree, even though I don't care,
1595. 1:10:17is that he makes running look exhausting.
  1596. 1:10:20Like that dude.
  1597. 1:10:21Yeah.
  1598. 1:10:21Does not, he's not fluid.
1599. 1:10:23That is really, really fair.
  1600. 1:10:26Yeah.
1601. 1:10:26And other comments are like,
1602. 1:10:27what you don't see here is how long it took Tyler Warren to catch his breath.
1603. 1:10:31Like he is a rumbling, like, yeah, like a round mound of, of touchdown.
  1604. 1:10:37You know what I mean?
  1605. 1:10:37Fluent and smooth.
1606. 1:10:38No, it's like, but when you get up to speed, it's great.
  1607. 1:10:41It's just carrying around 260 pounds.
  1608. 1:10:44Yeah.
  1609. 1:10:44It's not, it's not Loveland.
  1610. 1:10:45Right.
1611. 1:10:46It's not, it's not Ingram or somebody that's, or even Kyle Pitts.
  1612. 1:10:49It's a big boy.
1613. 1:10:50He reminds me of TJ Hawkinson, which.
  1614. 1:10:53Yeah, that's fair.
1615. 1:10:53It feels bad now, but TJ Hawkinson was, you know, awesome.
1616. 1:10:57Was a top five tight end three times.
1617. 1:10:59He was the tight end two once, but like younger.
1618. 1:11:01Gronk never looked like he really knew what he was doing.
  1619. 1:11:04No, no, no.
  1620. 1:11:04Running the football.
  1621. 1:11:05No.
1622. 1:11:05He looked out of control at every moment.
1623. 1:11:07Out of control and blown up.
1624. 1:11:09When you get a locomotive going, you can't stop it.
1625. 1:11:11Can Warren go, what's Warren's outlook for target percentage?
  1626. 1:11:17Oh, I.
  1627. 1:11:17With Michael Pittman gone.
1628. 1:11:18I think he can easily have 25% target share.
1629. 1:11:22I think he could too.
1630. 1:11:24Like I'm, I'm, you know, it would, we, the Loveland Warren argument is like, it's fun to have that
  1631. 1:11:30debate.
1632. 1:11:31Both are going to be awesome.
1633. 1:11:33I think I'm finding myself really putting Tucker Craft up into the Tyler Warren area mentally.
  1634. 1:11:41You're speaking Mike's love language.
1635. 1:11:43I think, I mean, I moved him early this morning.
1636. 1:11:46Tucker Craft went up right at about the same production levels as Tyler Warren.
1637. 1:11:50One more question here from Nate in Vancouver, British Columbia.
  1638. 1:11:54Oh, bonjour.
1639. 1:11:56Are we undervaluing Chris Godwin?
  1640. 1:11:58Yeah.
  1641. 1:11:58Evan's gone.
1642. 1:11:58I expect a book to get more targets, but the same couldn't it be said of Chris Godwin?
1643. 1:12:02I think we really might be.
1644. 1:12:05He's in the eighth round and this is a player.
  1645. 1:12:07Here's why we're undervaluing him.
1646. 1:12:09He's 30 years old and he didn't look very good last year.
  1647. 1:12:13No, he didn't.
  1648. 1:12:14So it's like, you don't expect players.
1649. 1:12:15Those are good reasons to doubt somebody.
1650. 1:12:16Those are good reasons to doubt him.
  1651. 1:12:18But the doubt's already baked in.
1652. 1:12:19He's in the eighth round.
  1653. 1:12:20Yes.
1654. 1:12:21So you're already paying for, oh, he's not it.
1655. 1:12:24But in camp, the camp reports have been that Chris Godwin looks explosive, that he's been
1656. 1:12:28oftentimes the number one wide receiver, that there's been days where it's like he was easily
  1657. 1:12:33the best receiver today.
1658. 1:12:34And so, yeah, in the eighth round, I think early in the offseason, I wouldn't have ever
1659. 1:12:39thought about drafting a share of Chris Godwin.
  1660. 1:12:41Baker likes Chris Godwin.
  1661. 1:12:42Yeah.
1662. 1:12:42And in the seven games before the major injury, he was 16 points a game in 2024.
  1663. 1:12:48Last year's kind of a lost season.
1664. 1:12:50You look at it and you say, I mean, he's a 30-year-old wide receiver.
  1665. 1:12:54That's a factor.
1666. 1:12:55His yards per catch, not where they were during his peak seasons.
1667. 1:12:59But could he still be, you know, digs plus?
  1668. 1:13:03You know what I mean?
  1669. 1:13:04Level production?
  1670. 1:13:04He could easily be a top 36, top 30 wide receiver.
