1. 0:08On February 20, 2026, Manon's hiatus
2. 0:11was announced. The official statement
3. 0:15indicated she would take a break to
4. 0:17focus on her health, but at the same
5. 0:19time, she posted that she was happy and
6. 0:22healthy, justifying her absence with
7. 0:24the phrase, "Sometimes things happen in
8. 0:26ways we cannot control." She has not
9. 0:31been present as part of Cat's Eye since
10. 0:34then, but she has shown that she
11. 0:36remains active, appearing publicly at
12. 0:38multiple events and working on personal
13. 0:41projects; generating thousands of
14. 0:43reactions, both of support from her
15. 0:46fans and questions about her true
16. 0:48situation within the group and the
17. 0:51reasons behind her absence from
18. 0:53official activities. In this video, we
19. 0:57are going to talk about Manon's
20. 0:58activities since the beginning of her
21. 1:00hiatus. The same day the start of her
22. 1:05break was announced, fans saw Manon at
23. 1:07a concert in Los Angeles, where Rio
24. 1:09Amor was performing. In the snapshot,
25. 1:12she was seen hugging her friend Sophie,
26. 1:15whom she introduced as a person close
27. 1:17to her since Dream Academy, and who
28. 1:19becomes a recurring character in her
29. 1:21story. After a few months had passed
30. 1:25since the start of her break from
31. 1:27activities, during which there was no
32. 1:29news about her, on April 2, Manon sent
33. 1:32a new message to her fans, thanking
34. 1:34them for their support and patience and
35. 1:36assuring them that she was still in
36. 1:38talks with the agency. She reaffirmed
37. 1:42once again that she was healthy and
38. 1:44happy and promised to share more
39. 1:46details soon. At that time, they were
40. 1:50promoting Cat's Eye's participation in
41. 1:53Coachella, and speculations regarding
42. 1:55Manon's participation were intense
43. 1:57until April 9, when HYBE confirmed she
44. 2:00would not be a part of it due to her
45. 2:02hiatus. The first Cat's Eye show at the
46. 2:06festival was on April 10. They
47. 2:08performed as a five-member group.
48. 2:12However, despite her hiatus and the
49. 2:14agency's statement, Manon was seen at
50. 2:16Coachella. Photos of her began to
51. 2:19circulate among the audience, enjoying
52. 2:22other performances. During the second
53. 2:26weekend of the festival, Manon was also
54. 2:28present, this time on stage. She
55. 2:31participated in the PinkPantheress show
56. 2:33alongside other people. On April 22, a
57. 2:36new image of Manon was shared. She was
58. 2:40with other celebrities and influencers
59. 2:42like Larray and Queen Blackwell. It
60. 2:45generated some controversy because it
61. 2:47appeared that the group was locked in a
62. 2:50small room smoking marijuana. Although
63. 2:53Manon was not the one holding the
64. 2:55cigarettes, the context of the image
65. 2:57caused people to reach that conclusion.
66. 3:01On April 30, the fashion brand Tommy
67. 3:03Hilfiger featured Manon at a Formula 1
68. 3:05event. They shared photographs of her
69. 3:09with driver Sergio Pérez in a post on
70. 3:11the brand's official Instagram account.
71. 3:15The photos showed Manon enjoying the
72. 3:17event and wearing Tommy Hilfiger
73. 3:19clothing. On May 3rd, Manon surprised
74. 3:23her fans with an unexpected Instagram
75. 3:25live stream. The first since she took a
76. 3:29break from Cat's Eye in February. It
77. 3:32lasted less than a minute, during which
78. 3:34she interacted with fans and primarily
79. 3:36thanked Tommy Hilfiger for the
80. 3:38opportunity they gave her. On May 11th,
81. 3:42an episode of the popular show
82. 3:44Germany's Next Top Model was released,
83. 3:46in which Manon appeared as a guest.
84. 3:50Despite being on hiatus, it is believed
85. 3:52the episode was filmed in February when
86. 3:55the show's host shared a video with
87. 3:57Manon. After the episode, Manon posted
88. 4:01a photo of her dressing room from the
89. 4:03film set. However, she quickly deleted
90. 4:06it, which sparked speculation about the
91. 4:09reason why. On June 19th, an event
92. 4:12occurred that caused great confusion
93. 4:14within the fandom. All six members of
94. 4:18Cat's Eye were seen at the Ariana
95. 4:20Grande concert, yet they were not
96. 4:22together. Lara shared that she enjoyed
97. 4:25the show with Sophia and their former
98. 4:28Dream Academy peer, Carly. Daniela and
99. 4:31Yoonchae were later seen joining them,
100. 4:34and Megan was seen leaving the show
101. 4:36with her bandmates. For her part, Manon
102. 4:40shared an Instagram story clarifying
103. 4:42that she had attended with her friend
104. 4:44Sofie and her partner. The well-known
105. 4:47artist The Kid LAROI. A video shared by
106. 4:50some fans who took photos with Megan,
107. 4:52Sophia, and Manon has raised suspicions
108. 4:55that they were together. But for many
109. 4:58internet users, even though they were
110. 5:00at the same event, they did not show
111. 5:02themselves together, sparking all kinds
112. 5:05of reactions online. On June 26th,
113. 5:09Manon celebrated her 24th birthday with
114. 5:11a post on her Instagram account.
115. 5:14birthday. I have never felt so healthy,
116. 5:17happy, and grateful. Grateful for the
117. 5:20people who love me, take care of me,
118. 5:22make me laugh, and remind me of what
119. 5:24truly matters. I feel very lucky to be
120. 5:27here. At the same time, some of her
121. 5:31close friends reacted with apparent
122. 5:33sarcasm to an official Cat's Eye post
123. 5:36celebrating Manon's birthday. That
124. 5:39night, she was seen entering a party in
125. 5:42Paris accompanied by friends. On June
126. 5:4529th, Manon attended as a guest at the
127. 5:48Jacquemus fashion show during France's
128. 5:52Fashion Week, wearing a striking yellow
129. 5:55outfit. Days later, on July 9th, 2026,
130. 5:58she appeared alongside designer Simon
131. 6:01Porte of Jacquemus at a charity event
132. 6:04in Paris. On September 21st, new
133. 6:07professional photos of Manon were
134. 6:10published. They were shared by an
135. 6:12independent photographer. It is not
136. 6:16part of any advertising campaign, but
137. 6:18these are the first official images of
138. 6:20Mano since her hiatus began.
139. 6:22Photographer and creative director
140. 6:25Jacob Webster titled the photoshoot "
141. 6:28Sunset Siren." And the images were
142. 6:30presented as the conclusion of his
143. 6:32personal project for the summer. Jacob
144. 6:35did not provide details on how the
145. 6:37collaboration came about. On September
146. 6:4128, Manon was seen attending the
147. 6:44after-party hosted by Madonna following
148. 6:47this year's VMAs. On October 12, Manon
149. 6:51was spotted walking through Los Angeles
150. 6:54with her friend Sophie outside the
151. 6:56luxury Chateau Marmont hotel. And one
152. 7:00of the latest sightings of Manon
153. 7:02occurred on October 18. She was seen
154. 7:05with the artist Charli XCX. On her
155. 7:09social media, she had shared that she
156. 7:11was at her concert, but she was later
157. 7:13recognized by fans in a video taken by
158. 7:15paparazzi who were following Charli.
159. 7:18They were attending an exclusive party
160. 7:21organized by Giorgio Armani. Rosé from
161. 7:24Blackpink was also walking in their
162. 7:26group. Along with these appearances,
163. 7:30Manon remained active on her Instagram,
164. 7:32where she has over 7 million followers.
165. 7:36She shared with her fans that she
166. 7:38adopted a dog, her new haircut, and
167. 7:40some of her personal experiences.
168. 7:42Additionally, throughout her hiatus,
169. 7:45she made some changes to her profile.
170. 7:47On April 2, she removed "KATSEYE" from
171. 7:50her Instagram bio. Both she and the
172. 7:53other members included the group's name
173. 7:55in their profiles after debuting, but
174. 7:58Manon removed it, and on April 21, she
175. 8:00deleted the last photograph related to
176. 8:02KATSEYE that she had. It was her cover
177. 8:06for IG Magazine, which she previously
178. 8:08had pinned to her profile. During this
179. 8:13time, Manon remained silent, but her
180. 8:15KATSEYE bandmates were questioned on
181. 8:17multiple occasions regarding her hiatus
182. 8:20and her return. However, the group's
183. 8:24responses remained within a framework
184. 8:26of caution and subtle evasion. In every
185. 8:30interview or public appearance where
186. 8:32the topic was addressed, the members
187. 8:33avoided giving concrete details about
188. 8:35the timelines or reasons for her
189. 8:37absence. Statements were limited to
190. 8:41messages of support, affection, and
191. 8:43respect for their bandmate, avoiding
192. 8:46giving precise answers to direct
193. 8:48questions about her return to group
194. 8:50activities. The real reasons remain
195. 8:55unknown to many internet users, given
196. 8:58that the official statement claims it
197. 9:00is for health reasons, but Manon has
198. 9:02stated on several occasions that she is
199. 9:04healthy. Hundreds of theories and
200. 9:08speculations have been generated about
201. 9:10what the true reason for her absence
202. 9:11could be. A portion of internet users
203. 9:15point to it being a problem of
204. 9:17differential treatment toward Manon as
205. 9:19an Afro-descendant. This is also based
206. 9:22on some online activity from Manon or
207. 9:24those close to her who have interacted
208. 9:27with social media posts about being the
209. 9:29only Black woman in the group and
210. 9:31suffering prejudice-based
211. 9:33discrimination. Even journalistic
212. 9:36articles addressing Manon's hiatus
213. 9:38point to this topic. However, the
214. 9:41members of the group themselves
215. 9:43responded to this belief. Through an
216. 9:46interview with Vanity Fair published on
217. 9:49June 30, 2026, Sophia firmly said, "We
218. 9:52can definitely say that in our
219. 9:54situation, it was by no means about
220. 9:57racism." That goes against everything
221. 10:00we stand for. On the other hand, there
222. 10:02are those who react negatively toward
223. 10:04Manon because of her hiatus. She is
224. 10:07called lazy and accused of not wanting
225. 10:09to put in the effort to be a member of
226. 10:11KATSEYE. With her public appearances,
227. 10:14the attacks increased. People
228. 10:17maliciously criticize her for her
229. 10:19personal activities and judge her for
230. 10:21wanting the benefits of fame without
231. 10:23taking on the demands of the career.
232. 10:27That is all for this video. I hope you
233. 10:29found it informative. The emoji for
234. 10:31today is this one, so leave this emoji
