3. 0:04And have you noticed that it is most
4. 0:06often said by people who have so much
5. 0:09money that they stopped counting it
6. 0:11long ago? From that position, it is
7. 0:13certainly easy to argue that wealth is
8. 0:15far from the most important thing. But
9. 0:17for a person living paycheck to
10. 0:19paycheck, it sounds more like mockery.

12. 0:24part is? Science is entirely and
13. 0:26completely on the side of the latter.

28. 1:00divided them into three groups. Some
29. 1:03were simply given money, others only
30. 1:05sessions with a psychologist, and the
31. 1:07third group, both. Who do you think
32. 1:09felt the best after a year? The group
33. 1:12that was simply given money. In second
34. 1:15place was the group with the
35. 1:16psychologist and the money. And therapy
36. 1:19alone provided absolutely no effect for
37. 1:21those whose basic needs were not met.
38. 1:24Well, you have to agree, it is very
39. 1:26hard to fix the psyche when your fridge
40. 1:28is empty and you are up to your ears in
41. 1:30debt. And the truth is that money
42. 1:32really cannot buy you happiness
43. 1:34directly. But the lack of it hits a
44. 1:36person literally every day. Anxiety,
45. 1:39fear, sleepless nights, the feeling
46. 1:41that you just can't cope with life
47. 1:43anymore. That is exactly what money
48. 1:45removes. It provides not so much luxury
49. 1:47as it does peace of mind. Therefore,
50. 1:50when a rich person says that money is
51. 1:52not the main thing, it is true. But not
52. 1:54entirely. Yes, they should not be the
53. 1:56meaning of life, but they are the
54. 1:58foundation upon which everything else
55. 2:00rests: health, relationships, freedom,
56. 2:02and the opportunity to pursue your
57. 2:03favorite work. So it is not shameful to
58. 2:06want to earn more; it is shameful to
59. 2:08devalue someone else's need from the
60. 2:10height of one's own satiety. Money is
61. 2:12not the summit or the final goal of
62. 2:14life, but it is the support beneath
63. 2:15your feet. And the desire to stand
64. 2:17firmly upon it is absolutely normal.
