- 0:00PTE writing, 90 out of 90. Trust me,
- 0:02there are a lot of strategies that many
- 0:04of the students would be missing [music]
- 0:05out on. For instance, in summarize
- 0:07written text, you cannot copy the words
- 0:09that already have dot in it. If you are
- 0:11not aware of this, and if you copy that,
- 0:13software may trigger that as a full stop
- 0:15and get your zero. And this way, there
- 0:17could be a lot of strategies that you're
- 0:18missing out on, and due to which, you
- 0:20would be always getting lesser scores
- 0:22than expected. [music] Want to

- 1:12lessons, Skills Pro AI is for you. All
- 1:14right, without any further delay, let's
- 1:16straight away get right into the PTE
- 1:17writing. The strategies which I knew
- 1:19earlier for a perfect 90 out of 90. Here
- 1:21we start. When we talk about PTE
- 1:23writing, there are four modules that
- 1:24contribute marks towards your writing
- 1:26section as far as PTE Academic is
- 1:28concerned. First is summarize written
- 1:30text, approximately 18 to 20 marks. Next
- 1:32comes essay writing, approximately 26 to
- 1:3430 marks. After that comes summarize
- 1:36spoken text, 12 to 15 marks. Remember,
- 1:39summarize spoken text contributes 12 to
- 1:4115 marks towards your writing for PTE
- 1:42Academic. Next comes write from
- 1:44dictation. Depending on the number of
- 1:46questions you get, sometimes three
- 1:47questions, 30 to 35 marks. Sometimes
- 1:49four questions, 40 plus marks to
- 1:51writing. So, before we start with the
- 1:52strategies that you wish you knew
- 1:54earlier, we want to make an important
- 1:55update through our portal
- 1:56skillsptewithnakul.com. We have added a
- 1:58new feature called mini mock. From the
- 2:01mini mock, we have speaking, writing,
- 2:02and other things. You click on the
- 2:03writing, you see some mini mocks. You
- 2:05click the start test, and now you see
- 2:06one summarized written text, one essay
- 2:08writing, one summarized spoken text, and
- 2:10three write from dictation. Well, this
- 2:12will help you understand in least time
- 2:14possible how much marks you would get
- 2:17with respect to PTE writing in the main
- 2:18exam. If your concern is only writing,
- 2:20take the mini mock writing, spend only
- 2:2140 minutes, boom, you get your scores,
- 2:23an estimation of what you would get in
- 2:25the main exam. And also, you would be
- 2:26able to understand what all mistakes
- 2:27you've made, how to improve, and
- 2:29everything. All right, getting back to
- 2:31the video, let's start with the very
- 2:32first strategy that you wish you knew
- 2:35earlier, especially summarized written
- 2:36text for PTE Academic. You can use only
- 2:38one full stop, meaning only one dot. But
- 2:40let's say in the paragraph there is a
- 2:41sentence 1.6 million people, and you
- 2:44copy as it is. 1.6, that point is a dot.
- 2:48AI will definitely consider that, or
- 2:50mostly will consider that as a full
- 2:51stop. As a result, it's going to be big
- 2:53zero. In our portal as well, we have
- 2:54implemented the same, and people get
- 2:56zero, and they just bomb us
- 2:58through messages, what the hell is this?
- 2:59Give me my money back. I've written
- 3:01correctly, and look at this, it's giving
- 3:02zero. And then we tell them, click on
- 3:04the drop-down button, it gives you a
- 3:05reason as to why it is zero.
- 3:06So, the reality is, perhaps if you take
- 3:09some words that contain already
- 3:10containing full stops or dots, you may
- 3:12end up getting zero, especially for PTE
- 3:14Academic. Avoid such words. Now, the
- 3:15solution is, how to avoid them? Maybe 1
- 3:17million you can use, or million people,
- 3:19or remove that entire word, doesn't
- 3:21matter. People you can use, numerous
- 3:22people, doesn't matter. But 1.6, or US
- 3:25U.S., you don't use such. Hope you're
- 3:29getting it, all these are potential
- 3:31barriers that could definitely take a
- 3:33dip in your writing marks. Remember
- 3:35this. The strategy number two that you
- 3:36wish you knew earlier, especially in
- 3:38summarized written text. If you want 85
- 3:40plus in the writing, meaning eight bands
- 3:42writing, you cannot randomly take
- 3:44literally randomly four sentences and
- 3:45use a structure sentence one, comma,
- 3:47sentence two, semicolon, sentence three,
- 3:49comma, sentence four, full stop.
- 3:50Absolutely will not give you content
- 3:52four out of four. Remember, content is
- 3:54now four marks, as opposed to two marks
- 3:56what it was long time back last year. If
- 3:58you want to truly get content four out
- 3:59of four, you need to summarize,
- 4:01basically, the points. There could be a
- 4:02lot of things. Let's say it talks about
- 4:05important things in the first para.
- 4:06Second para it talks about drawbacks.
- 4:08And you take four sentences from the
- 4:09first paragraph. Second para entire
- 4:11thing you missed out on. So, you would
- 4:12be losing a lot of marks. And just
- 4:14copy-pasting will never ensure you get
- 4:15four out of four for the content. It's
- 4:17always best you take things in bits and
- 4:18pieces. And use the same structure.
- 4:20Definitely is copy-pasting will work.
- 4:22But literally, exactly as it is, simply
- 4:24pasting four sentences may not. If the
- 4:26first sentence has few keywords, you
- 4:27pick them up. Second sentence has some
- 4:28more. Third sentence has some more. You
- 4:30want to join them and do it. Recently, I
- 4:33made a video on summarize written text.
- 4:34You can refer the video somewhere here.
- 4:36That will explain you in detail about
- 4:38how to summarize, how to basically work
- 4:40on every kind of sentence like
- 4:42conversational type it could be. Poems
- 4:44it could be or general paragraph it
- 4:46could be. Also in our portal we have
- 4:47smart summarize written text tool. A new
- 4:50feature has been added. And with this
- 4:52smart tool you actually will get an
- 4:53answer as to why your content is three
- 4:55or two or one or four. Why it is so,
- 4:57what all things you have added, what all
- 4:59things you have missed. Core ideas two
- 5:00were there and you have added none.
- 5:02Major ideas six were there you have
- 5:03added one. And then you click on the
- 5:04analysis. You will see how much idea has
- 5:07been covered from the passage. Semantic
- 5:08match, how much of your idea is similar
- 5:11to my ideal summary. And what is the
- 5:13ideal reference summary. And every line,
- 5:14every sentence of the paragraph it gives
- 5:16you a summary and says have you covered
- 5:18this part? Partially covered, fully
- 5:19covered or completely missed. Each and
- 5:22everything this tool will guide you
- 5:23helping you understand what constitutes
- 5:26four out of four and what doesn't. Make
- 5:28use of this tool. Definitely worth
- 5:30trying it. The strategy number three
- 5:32with respect to again summarize written
- 5:33text for PTE Academic I would strongly
- 5:35recommend writing 65 plus 70 to 73. 70
- 5:38plus would be ideal and less than 75
- 5:39words for sure. Anywhere between 70 to
- 5:4173, 74 would be an ideal one to get more
- 5:44scores towards your content. And simply
- 5:46writing 75 may not give you four out of
- 5:48four unless you use most of the
- 5:49keywords, most of the key content, core
- 5:51ideas and the major ideas. Hope you are
- 5:53getting it. For PTE Core I would
- 5:54recommend writing 45 to 50. It's 25 to
- 5:5850 words for PTE Core. 5 to 75 words for
- 6:01PTE Academic. PTE Academic 70 and above
- 6:03less than 75. PTE code 40 and above less
- 6:06than 50. 45, 47 would be an ideal one.
- 6:09The next strategy is with respect to
- 6:10essay writing. Remember to always write
- 6:12between 200 to 300 words. Ideal word
- 6:14count 265, 270, 280. The more you write,
- 6:17the more mistakes you make for sure. But
- 6:19try to be on a higher side above 250,
- 6:22260, 270 because content is now six
- 6:24marks. Structure code and development
- 6:25six, general linguistic range six. As
- 6:27opposed to two marks last year, it is
- 6:30increased to six. To get more mark for
- 6:32the content, you will have to write a
- 6:33little more than what you used to write
- 6:34before. So I take on this at least 250
- 6:36plus words would be ideal and most
- 6:38importantly, whatever the main idea that
- 6:40you write, back it up with supporting
- 6:41point or example. It's always best to
- 6:44write main idea with supporting points
- 6:46or examples. Failing to do so, meaning
- 6:48just randomly shooting ideas will not
- 6:50get you scores. Always remember this.
- 6:52The next strategy again is with respect
- 6:53to essay writing. Always have a mixture
- 6:55of simple, compound, complex sentences.
- 6:57Read about it in the internet or you can
- 6:59check out my grammar videos. All in our
- 7:00course as well, we teach you what a
- 7:02simple sentence is, compound, complex
- 7:04sentences. Understand them, work on it,
- 7:06and accordingly implement your sentences
- 7:08using these three sentence structures.
- 7:10You got to have simple sentences. You
- 7:11got to have compound. You got to have
- 7:13complex. Just writing only complicated,
- 7:15very lengthy, lengthy complex or
- 7:16compound sentences may not mean you get
- 7:18more scores. Simple sentences are also
- 7:20important. Complex sentences are also
- 7:22important. Compound sentences are also
- 7:24important. So accordingly give weightage
- 7:26and distribute your sentence structure
- 7:27among these three equally. Remember
- 7:29this. The next strategy is again with
- 7:31respect to essay writing. If you want to
- 7:32get two out of two for the vocabulary,
- 7:34you don't have to cram some high-fi
- 7:35words from the ChatGPT or Gemini. Try to
- 7:37write the words that you're very
- 7:38comfortable with. Meaning write the
- 7:40words that actually fit in, that go with
- 7:43the sentence. For instance, look at this
- 7:45sentence. This development will create
- 7:47equality. Create equality Equality can
- 7:49never be created. Equality can only be
- 7:51promoted. So meaning there are some
- 7:53fixed phrases. You got to use that word.
- 7:55This is what vocabulary means. It's not
- 7:57about simply taking some words from the
- 7:59internet or memorizing some repeated
- 8:01essay questions with powerful words in
- 8:03between. Memorize them, cram them every
- 8:04day, and you get that question, write
- 8:06it, and get your scores. You don't.
- 8:07That's the reality and all this hard
- 8:08work, all this circus definitely not
- 8:10needed. Work on your English, read
- 8:12books, automatically you will be able to
- 8:13write something that actually makes
- 8:15sense and you will definitely be using
- 8:16words that actually fit in. Remember
- 8:19this. The next strategy, seventh one is
- 8:20with respect to summarize spoken text.
- 8:22Absolutely no templates, don't use
- 8:23templates. If you truly want, you can
- 8:25use speaker talked about firstly,
- 8:26secondly, firstly the speaker said.
- 8:28Something of this are still fine, but
- 8:29remember templates do not contribute any
- 8:31scoring towards your content. Content is
- 8:33now evaluated for four marks for your
- 8:35PTE Academic, two marks for PTE Core. If
- 8:37we talk about PTE Academic, to get four
- 8:39out of four for the content, templates
- 8:40in any way will not help. The lecture
- 8:42talked about the lecture talked about
- 8:44these four words were never present in
- 8:45the audio, then how can you think that
- 8:47this template is giving me more marks?
- 8:49Just because your friend told and got
- 8:5090, your friend would have gotten 90
- 8:52because of the content, not because of
- 8:54template. Your friend is skilled, has a
- 8:55good listening skill. You may not. And
- 8:57if you follow your friend's suggestion
- 8:59because your friend got 90, friend
- 9:00believed that he got it 90 because of
- 9:02template. And you follow template, you
- 9:03get 60 because templates are not going
- 9:05in any way going to get you more scores
- 9:07towards your content. Templates will
- 9:08serve only one function. What is the
- 9:10function? Help you cross the word limit.
- 9:1250 to 70 words for PTE Academic, 20 to
- 9:1430 words for PTE Core. Let's say you're
- 9:16sitting for PTE Academic, you try to
- 9:17take down the notes, you wrote
- 9:18everything on your own. It is 42 words.
- 9:21Now, if you click submit, zero. You have
- 9:23to cross 50 words. The talk was about
- 9:25firstly, the speaker said. Eight words,
- 9:28nine words, 51 words.
- 9:30Submit it and finish it off. Form
- 9:32minimum two you get, but this is not
- 9:33going to increase your content scores.
- 9:35Always remember this. And to increase
- 9:37your content score, you need to write
- 9:39something exactly matching the audio if
- 9:41possible. You can try to write something
- 9:42on your own, definitely yes, but if you
- 9:44change the meaning from the original
- 9:45audio, you will be penalized. So, it's
- 9:48best you take down some four or five
- 9:49phrases. Let me show you a quick
- 9:51demonstration through our portal
- 9:52skills.pte.with.nakul.com.
- 9:53Here we start. All right, randomly I'm
- 9:55just opening the first sentence. I'm
- 9:56clicking on the metrics because I've
- 9:58already done this. You see here, this is
- 10:00my response. Let's increase the size. My
- 10:03response at the bottom, "A navy is a
- 10:04branch of nation's armed forces for
- 10:05conducting military operations at sea."
- 10:07And you see here, at the top, "The navy
- 10:09is a branch of nations armed forces
- 10:10primarily responsible for conducting
- 10:12military operations at sea. Exactly as
- 10:14it is taking four sentences. The next
- 10:16one I've written it ensures safe passage
- 10:17for trade.
- 10:19It ensures ensuring safe passage for
- 10:21trade.
- 10:22And then navies typically operate on
- 10:23various types of ships. Navies
- 10:26typically operate various types of
- 10:28ships.
- 10:29They also or navy also plays a crucial
- 10:31role in peacekeeping operations around
- 10:32the world. Navy also play a crucial role
- 10:34in
- 10:35peacekeeping operations around the
- 10:36world.
- 10:37Each designed for a specific task. Each
- 10:41design over here for a specific each
- 10:43design for a specific task six words.
- 10:45And then navies also employ advanced
- 10:47system for the strategic decision.
- 10:49Navies also employ advanced
- 10:51technology here advanced system for
- 10:53defense and strategic advantages
- 10:55decisions. 90% or 95% of the words that
- 10:58I've written in this summary
- 11:00belong to the audio. 10,000% I have to
- 11:03get four out of four. But try to write
- 11:04four or five phrases. Each phrase of
- 11:06this length eight to 10 words. 100%
- 11:08you'll get four out of four for the
- 11:09content. The next one is with respect to
- 11:11write from dictation. You cannot extra
- 11:12words. You can add extra spellings. You
- 11:15can write in any order. Full stop comma
- 11:17not mandatory. Capital letter small
- 11:19letter not mandatory. You can write in
- 11:21any case that you wish. But what matters
- 11:24is whatever you write should match the
- 11:25audio. Usually we add singular noun
- 11:28plural noun. If the audio says they went
- 11:29to market. It's market markets. Develop
- 11:32the project. Develop developed develops.
- 11:35Hope you're getting a singular noun
- 11:36plural noun present form past form
- 11:38involved with this. All these are the
- 11:39confusing words.
- 11:40Just with listening to the audio you may
- 11:42not be clear about it. So I add extra
- 11:44words. Addition of these words like
- 11:46singular plural alternative options will
- 11:47definitely ensure you get better scores.
- 11:49Remember this. The next one ninth one
- 11:51with respect to again write from
- 11:52dictation. You should always follow a
- 11:54short note method. So what is the short
- 11:56note method? How it can help you? Let me
- 11:58show you a quick demonstration through
- 11:59our portal. Here we start. All right
- 12:01randomly I'm just opening uh
- 12:03question. Uh don't do anything just
- 12:05observe how I do it.
- 12:08>> Gratitude turns what we have into enough
- 12:10and more.
- 12:14In gratitude, done what we have into
- 12:18enough.
- 12:20And
- 12:23more done becomes
- 12:25turned
- 12:27turns
- 12:28and this will be removed.
- 12:32Into spelling, I don't want to risk. A A
- 12:34the the I'm adding and this is what my
- 12:36answer looks like. This is how you
- 12:38should be doing in the exam. Done turns
- 12:40done A A the the into if you have doubt
- 12:43on the spelling, add extra
- 12:44possibilities. But in the beginning,
- 12:46take the things in short notes. Don't
- 12:47have to write every word completely. If
- 12:49you do that, writing down the last few
- 12:51words will be very challenging because
- 12:52it takes a lot of time.
- 12:54Try taking down in short notes, two to
- 12:56three letters of each word as opposed to
- 12:58taking one letter, first letter of each
- 12:59word because when you come back and read
- 13:01just single letter, it will be very
- 13:03difficult for you to figure out as to
- 13:04what you wrote. It's always better to
- 13:06write two, three letters of each word,
- 13:07quickly finish it off and then expand
- 13:09them and then add extra words. This way,
- 13:11with some articles towards the extra
- 13:13spellings, extra verbs, extra nouns,
- 13:14done and dusted. This is the real method
- 13:17for your write from dictation. In the
- 13:19last strategy, in your listening
- 13:20section, the last section is write from
- 13:22dictation. It is not timed. Your essay
- 13:24could be timed. Your summarized written
- 13:25text could be timed. Spoken text could
- 13:27be timed. If you don't click submit
- 13:28button in essay, summarized written text
- 13:30or email writing for PT core or
- 13:31summarized spoken text, automatically it
- 13:33will be submitted. It will be taken into
- 13:34consideration. Write from dictation,
- 13:36last question, you just typed, you did
- 13:37not click submit and finish the exam and
- 13:39timer ran off.
- 13:40What is the guarantee that last question
- 13:42will be saved? There is no guarantee and
- 13:43mostly it will not be saved. Though some
- 13:44people say I did not submit it, I still
- 13:46got more scores. But 90% of the students
- 13:49who have forgotten to click or who have
- 13:51ignored to click submit button before
- 13:52the timer expires and allowed the exam
- 13:54to finish on its own have faced problems
- 13:57in listening and writing both with a
- 13:58very low scores. With this I'm telling
- 14:00you, don't risk it. Before the timer
- 14:02expires in the entire listening, click
- 14:03submit and finish off the exam. I think
- 14:05that's all for today. Really, really
- 14:06hope this was an informative content. If
- 14:09you believe the same, like, share,
- 14:10comment your thoughts in the comment
- 14:11section and subscribe to our channel
- 14:12SkillsPedia BD With this I'm going to

- 14:19Bye-bye. Thanks
