- 0:00Balance is you enter a Space and you feel
- 0:04How Peace full it is.
- 0:06How Calm it is.
- 0:07That is because of balance.
- 0:09And That Can be achieved from two ways.
- 0:10Symmetry and Asymmetry.
- 0:22To achieve Symmetry We need to produce mirror image.
- 0:25The way it is on left side is the way it is on right side.
- 0:32Now, Its not necessary that symmetry is present in the whole room.
- 0:34It can be in a particular portion too
- 0:36and rest can be asymmetrical
- 0:45Most of the time you find symmetry in architectural elements
- 0:49You may find a big window in the center of wall
- 0:51or a fire place in between.
- 0:53In that case we arrange our interior symetry
- 0:55around that element
- 0:57including that element
- 0:59that is how it looks much better
- 1:07It is very easy to recognize symmetry
- 1:09you will find pair of things
- 1:11because it same on right and left side
- 1:23Asymmetry is a little difficult to achieve
- 1:26But this is going to take your designed
- 1:28room towards well designed room
- 1:30To achieve asymmetry
- 1:32you need two different elements
- 1:34With some common factor
- 1:36like if there are two entirely different things but their height is similar
- 1:38Or there are two different things but their color matches
- 1:53One more place where you can see
- 1:56or implement asymmetry is photo wall.
- 2:11To achieve balance what we need to use more
- 2:13symmetry or asymmetry
- 2:15is majorly dependent on interior design style
- 2:19If there is some formal style
- 2:21like traditional or farmhouse style
- 2:23You see more symetry
- 2:25If there is bohemian or casual style
- 2:28you will see a lot more asymmetry.
- 2:49Symmetry or asymmetry
- 2:51we Almost use them half half
- 2:53or one a little more and other a little less
- 2:57But we cannot overdo one.
- 3:00That Looks Of balance
- 3:02If you use asymmetry more
- 3:04It looks cluttered
- 3:06If you use symmetry more
- 3:08it looks predictable.
- 3:17whenever you will design a space
- 3:19on your own
- 3:20Then may be you wont achieve balance in one try.
- 3:24And when you will try to achieve balance again
- 3:27Then look at the details again and watch
- 3:29If the space is too repetative
- 3:31then symmetry is dominating
- 3:32In that case Remove some pairs from the design
- 3:35If the space if looking like a little cluttered
- 3:38Like adding a similar pattern pillow cover
- 3:41then asymmetry is dominating
- 3:41add some pair to achieve balance
- 3:50Thats the trick to achieve balance
- 3:52So tahts it for balance
- 3:53see you next time.
- 3:55till then bye bye.
