10. 0:20others Mr Johnson is quick to reaffirm
11. 0:23United States support for the United
12. 0:25Nations and then he outlines the aims of
13. 0:27his administration
14. 0:30the United States of America wants to
15. 0:32see the Cold War end we want to see it
16. 0:36end once and for
17. 0:38all the United States wants to prevent
18. 0:41the dissemination of nuclear weapons to
19. 0:44Nations not now possessing
20. 0:48them the United States wants to press on
21. 0:52with arms
22. 0:53control and
23. 0:55reduction the United States wants to
24. 0:58cooperate with all the m members of this
25. 1:01organization to conquer
26. 1:03everywhere the ancient enemies of
27. 1:07mankind hunger and
28. 1:10disease and
29. 1:12ignorance the United States wants sanity
30. 1:15and security and peace for
31. 1:19all and above
32. 1:22all President Kennedy I'm sure would
33. 1:26regard as his best Memorial the fact
34. 1:29fact that in his three years as
35. 1:33president the world became a little
36. 1:36safer and the way ahead became a little
37. 1:45brighter the president's speech receives

88. 3:58others appear to forget

127. 5:39troop build up on the South Vietnam
128. 5:41northern border now it appears that for
129. 5:43the first time there is talk of a South
130. 5:45Vietnam drive into North Vietnam

132. 6:00reinforcements are being moved into
133. 6:02strategic locations as part of a new
134. 6:04strategy in this frustrating War this is
135. 6:06not to force a showdown with the Reds
136. 6:09but to emphasize the US wish to contain
137. 6:11the
138. 6:14war intercepter and fighter bomber
139. 6:16aircraft are being flown into South
140. 6:18Vietnam and Thailand rapidly as other
141. 6:21air squadrons are transferred from the
142. 6:22United States to advance bases in the
143. 6:25Pacific as always political differences
144. 6:27faded in the United States and leaders
145. 6:30of both parties united behind the
146. 6:31president to Grant him all powers
147. 6:34necessary to carry out our commitments
