  2. 0:02Uh, Mr. President, welcome back to the
  3. 0:03Hugh Hewitt Show. Uh, thank you. I want
  4. 0:06to begin by saying I'm sorry you've lost
  5. 0:08your friend Lindsey Graham. I want to
  6. 0:10congratulate you on the 250th
  7. 0:12anniversary of the country on the mall
  8. 0:14and your speech. And I want to
  9. 0:16especially thank you for raising with
  10. 0:18General Secretary Xihinping, Jimmy Lie,
  11. 0:21and Pastor Mingry, the pastors in the
  12. 0:23United States. Do you think it would
  13. 0:25help uh get Jimmy Lie out if Pope Leo
  14. 0:29spoke up for Jimmy Lie?
  15. 0:30>> I don't know. I don't think so. I I had
  16. 0:32a long talk with the uh with President
  17. 0:35Xi and he expressed great dislike. He
  18. 0:39said uh very nicely. He kept me up at
  19. 0:43night. You know, they had a lot of
  20. 0:44problems there and uh I guess at some
  21. 0:47point I'll speak to the son, but he uh
  22. 0:50he's got a lot of dislike there. I got
  23. 0:52the other one out as you know. Yes, you
  24. 0:54did.
  25. 0:54>> And that was good. But I'm having a
  26. 0:56little problem with Jimmy. We've gotten
  27. 0:58a lot from China. China's been good. We
  28. 1:01got Tik Tok approved, as you know, and
  29. 1:03it was good. I was number one on Tik Tok
  30. 1:04this month, which was very good. But I
  31. 1:07got a lot of things from China,
  32. 1:09including we're taking in a lot of money
  33. 1:10from China, but Jimmy, I didn't do as
  34. 1:12well with, frankly.
  35. 1:14>> Well, give you you don't give up. I hope
  36. 1:15you keep trying.
  37. 1:16>> No, I'm not going to give up. No, no,
  38. 1:17no. I'm not going to give up. But, you
  39. 1:19know, look, they did have little problem
  40. 1:22with Hong Kong. Let's face it, you
  41. 1:24>> Yeah,
  42. 1:24>> we had a that was a pretty that was a
  43. 1:26pretty nasty situation. So,
  44. 1:28>> you can also understand the other side a
  45. 1:30little bit, but nope. I never give up.
  46. 1:32>> All right, let me talk about Iran. Iran
  47. 1:34broke the first ceasefire. They broke
  48. 1:36another one over the weekend. You have
  49. 1:38obliterated three of their nuclear
  50. 1:39sites, but they got a foresight maybe at
  51. 1:42Pickax Mountain. Yeah. Before you before
  52. 1:44you enter into another deal, will you
  53. 1:46insist that IAEA inspectors get down
  54. 1:48into that deep deep deep tunnel and find
  55. 1:51out if they got a doomsday machine down
  56. 1:53there?
  57. 1:54>> Absolutely. They don't have it because
  58. 1:55we have eyes, you know, with the uh with
  59. 1:59Space Force and everything else. We have
  60. 2:01a lot of eyes on it, but pickaxe is a
  61. 2:03possible, you know, a possible target
  62. 2:06for a nice big fat shot right into the
  63. 2:09front door. And I think that you'll
  64. 2:11maybe you'll see that. I'll tell them
  65. 2:13right now. Look,
  66. 2:14>> the fact is they have no air force. They
  67. 2:16have no navy. They have no nothing. All
  68. 2:18they do is talk and they have fake
  69. 2:19press. They do very well with the fake
  70. 2:21press. But
  71. 2:22>> yes, they do
  72. 2:23>> because the fake news wants us to lose.
  73. 2:25It's not even I mean the New York Times,
  74. 2:28they actually said a week ago, I I don't
  75. 2:30can't imagine they say it now, but uh
  76. 2:32think of it. They have no navy, have no
  77. 2:34air force, have no anything. They have
  78. 2:36no military, they have nothing. And the
  79. 2:38Times said, and their inflation, by the
  80. 2:40way, just hit 301%.
  81. 2:42From 5%. They said, "Oh, they're in
  82. 2:45better shape now than they were four
  83. 2:46months ago before I started."
  84. 2:48>> Yeah, but the fake media always brings
  85. 2:49up Pickax Mountain, and I don't think
  86. 2:51it's not on your list. I think it's on
  87. 2:53your list, and you're telling me it is
  88. 2:54on the list. We're watching it closely.
  89. 2:56We see no activity there. They're not
  90. 2:59doing well with their nuclear situation.
  91. 3:01Every time we hear about it, we blow it
  92. 3:03up. So they don't like talking about it,
  93. 3:04but we'll probably give pickaxe a shot
  94. 3:07relatively soon.
  95. 3:09>> Good. Now, you know, the Iranians will
  96. 3:11never, this regime, the crazy people,
  97. 3:13and they are fanatics. They're religious
  98. 3:14fanatic. They will never stop trying to
  99. 3:16kill you and your family and blow up
  100. 3:19your library. Do you think you've got to
  101. 3:21get that regime out of there in the next
  102. 3:2230 months?
  103. 3:24>> Well, I think they're a little cuckoo. I
  104. 3:25think they all are. We knocked out the
  105. 3:27first regime. We then knocked out the
  106. 3:29second regime. We then took out about
  107. 3:3125% of this regime and uh they're wired
  108. 3:35a little bit differently. We had a deal
  109. 3:37yesterday. It was like going to be 100%
  110. 3:40and then all of a sudden they got a
  111. 3:41phone call and they all ran out of the
  112. 3:44room. These people are these people are
  113. 3:46crazy. We had a deal where we won
  114. 3:48everything and they basically break the
  115. 3:51deals. You know they make deals and to
  116. 3:53them deals are made to be broken. Uh
  117. 3:56they are extremely unreliable people and
  118. 4:01frankly if they ever had a nuclear
  119. 4:02weapon they'd use it within one day.
  120. 4:04>> Amen. Can you or the American uh
  121. 4:07military or the Israeli military get to
  122. 4:09what's left of their third string and
  123. 4:11their fourth string and their fifth
  124. 4:12string? Do you know where they are? Can
  125. 4:13you kill them?
  126. 4:14>> Yeah, I do. And but we don't want to
  127. 4:15talk about that. But we uh we certainly
  128. 4:19are watching. Yeah. I I know a lot about
  129. 4:21that subject. I know a lot but I don't
  130. 4:23think it's appropriate to talk about it
  131. 4:24right now. But we will we will be
  132. 4:27hitting them like as an example. We're
  133. 4:29going to hit them very hard tonight
  134. 4:31>> and uh we're going to hit them hard
  135. 4:33tomorrow
  136. 4:34>> and there's not a damn thing they can do
  137. 4:36about it. They have nothing they have
  138. 4:37nothing going other than they have big
  139. 4:39mouths.
  140. 4:41>> Keep it up, Mr. President.
  141. 4:42>> Very good that I did because I got to
  142. 4:43know him.
  143. 4:44>> The buckle dance and it's a lot better.
  144. 4:46You know, people say I was at least
  145. 4:48reasonable but I got to know them and
  146. 4:50they're stone cold people.
  147. 4:52>> Yes, they are fanatics. Now, theou
  148. 4:55buckled and I thought of that high-rise
  149. 4:57on 42nd Street where the columns
  150. 4:58buckled. By the way, what did you think
  151. 5:00when you saw that story that high-rise
  152. 5:02columns are buckling?
  153. 5:04>> So, I I know a lot about buildings more
  154. 5:06than anybody in the presidency by a
  155. 5:08factor of about 2,000.
  156. 5:10>> And I looked at that structure. That
  157. 5:12structure was not meant to be to have
  158. 5:16that much weight added to it. Not only
  159. 5:18that, if you look at it because I looked
  160. 5:19at renderings and the structure was
  161. 5:22added on the side. It was the craziest
  162. 5:24thing and you know that was probably a
  163. 5:26Urus building and I knew the Urus family
  164. 5:28well, but they were known for light
  165. 5:30structures as light as they could do it.
  166. 5:32Not to fall down, but they weren't
  167. 5:34designed for putting 10 stories of
  168. 5:36building on top. But the the building
  169. 5:38wasn't even on top of you. Do you know
  170. 5:39what I mean? It was like side saddle,
  171. 5:41>> right?
  172. 5:42>> It was a side saddle. All that weight.
  173. 5:45And they're lucky it didn't come down. I
  174. 5:47don't know what they're doing right now,
  175. 5:48but they should not be allowed. I don't
  176. 5:50know the people, but they should not be
  177. 5:52allowed. I can't believe they had a
  178. 5:55structural engineer because they should
  179. 5:57not be allowed to. It's called a side
  180. 5:59saddle. They should not be allowed to do
  181. 6:01that on that building. That building is
  182. 6:03a weak structure. It's designed It's
  183. 6:05designed, it's a very light structure,
  184. 6:08you know.
  185. 6:09>> Was theou designed that way?
  186. 6:11>> Was theou a light structure?
  187. 6:13>> You have some structural engineers. They
  188. 6:16put you out of business with a heavy
  189. 6:18structure. The good news is it'll never
  190. 6:20fall down. The bad news is you go out of
  191. 6:22business because of this guy gave you a
  192. 6:26a minimal structure to hold up the
  193. 6:28existing. Not a structure to hold up
  194. 6:30another 10 stories of building. But the
  195. 6:33fact that the building wasn't even
  196. 6:34balanced, I can't it's amazing that it
  197. 6:37didn't come down. Well, was theou that
  198. 6:40that your negotiators brought back, was
  199. 6:42that uh side saddle, was that built to
  200. 6:45fall apart?
  201. 6:47>> It was built to test. It was a test. We
  202. 6:49didn't know. It It didn't Look,
  203. 6:52memorandum of understanding with when
  204. 6:54you're dealing with sleas bags don't
  205. 6:56mean much. And they don't mean much when
  206. 6:58you're dealing with honorable people,
  207. 7:00too, because it's a memorandum of
  208. 7:01understanding. It doesn't mean much. And
  209. 7:03I said, "Why are we even, you know, it's
  210. 7:05it's a standard tactic in the US that
  211. 7:07you go to a memorandum of understanding
  212. 7:09and then you go to the deal." I said,
  213. 7:11"Just go to the deal first." But you
  214. 7:13know what? It was sort of a test. And
  215. 7:15they weren't there. They didn't honor
  216. 7:16the test. We had it we had this deal
  217. 7:19settled numerous times. I said, "Watch.
  218. 7:21I guarantee. Watch." And they never they
  219. 7:24never followed it. They
  220. 7:26>> A bunch of
  221. 7:27>> Look, they're a bunch of
  222. 7:28>> a bunch of Israeli journalists are
  223. 7:30saying that you've undercut BB. You've
  224. 7:32thrown him under the bus. Have you?
  225. 7:34>> No, not at all. No, I get along with him
  226. 7:36very well. Sometimes I disagree with him
  227. 7:39and I let it be known and I've been
  228. 7:40right. But no, I think he's good. Look,
  229. 7:43he's a wartime prime minister. He's done
  230. 7:46a good job. If I wasn't around
  231. 7:48>> or if BB wasn't around, especially the
  232. 7:50combination, Israel would not exist
  233. 7:53today. We wouldn't have hit him with the
  234. 7:54B2 bombers. You know, they were going to
  235. 7:56have a a nuclear weapon within two
  236. 7:59weeks. Had I not hit them with a
  237. 8:01nuclear, within two to four weeks, they
  238. 8:03would have had a nuclear weapon. And
  239. 8:05once they had a nuclear weapon, they
  240. 8:06would have used it. And you wouldn't
  241. 8:08even have Israel around. No, BB's good.
  242. 8:10>> Is there anyone in Israel better than
  243. 8:12him to do the job?
  244. 8:14>> Is there anyone better than BB?
  245. 8:16>> Well, I don't know most of them. I know
  246. 8:18some of them obviously, but I don't know
  247. 8:20most of them. But I think that BB uh BB
  248. 8:23and I have had a very good if we weren't
  249. 8:25working together, if BB wasn't if we had
  250. 8:28a if I had a weak person, a president or
  251. 8:31prime minister over in Israel. You know,
  252. 8:32you have a president there, too,
  253. 8:34>> right?
  254. 8:34>> If we had somebody weak over there,
  255. 8:37Israel would not exist today.
  256. 8:40>> So, um Hamas is still standing. So is He
  257. 8:42has Hezbollah. Should BB order that
  258. 8:44those be done away with, just finish the
  259. 8:46job in Gaza and in Lebanon? Well, a lot
  260. 8:49of progress was made with Hamas and they
  261. 8:51are disarming. That doesn't mean they're
  262. 8:53going to, but a lot of progress was
  263. 8:55made. And don't forget, I got all the
  264. 8:57hostages back and Hamas did a lot of
  265. 9:00that work. You know, people are amazed,
  266. 9:02but we had 28 dead people, dead, you
  267. 9:06know, children because they call them
  268. 9:08children, the mom, the moms and dads.
  269. 9:10And it always ma it always it shouldn't
  270. 9:13amaze me but the people that had a dead
  271. 9:15son and they knew the son was dead they
  272. 9:18wanted that boy back just as much or
  273. 9:21even more as the people that were trying
  274. 9:23to get their sons out who were living.
  275. 9:24It was amazing. And we got all 28 back.
  276. 9:27Every single one of them. And everyone's
  277. 9:30amazed. And we got Hamas to do much of
  278. 9:32that work.
  279. 9:33>> So let me ask you about the um the the
  280. 9:37Iranian people. You said help was on the
  281. 9:39way and you sent it. 40,000 of them got
  282. 9:42massacred before your help could get
  283. 9:43there. Is it time for them to go back
  284. 9:45into the streets?
  285. 9:46>> Well, you can't do that because they
  286. 9:48have they don't have guns and the other
  287. 9:50side has guns and the number is 52,000
  288. 9:53people killed so far.
  289. 9:54>> Wow.
  290. 9:55>> And these are thugs. It's very hard for
  291. 9:58people to go back. They can have great
  292. 9:59bravado. They can hate the regime. They
  293. 10:02can do everything. But when you start
  294. 10:04seeing people dropping a little bit left
  295. 10:06and right, you know, they have snipers
  296. 10:08and the snipers are up in buildings,
  297. 10:10four or five of them, and let's say they
  298. 10:13form a 100, 200,000 people, and they see
  299. 10:16one go down with a bullet between the
  300. 10:18eyes, and then they see another one go
  301. 10:20down with a bullet between the eyes, and
  302. 10:23then they see a third. Like with the
  303. 10:24women, they had 300,000 women. All of a
  304. 10:27sudden, one goes down, two goes down,
  305. 10:30three, four, five. And you know what
  306. 10:32happens? You they say let's get the hell
  307. 10:35out of here.
  308. 10:36>> It's very scary.
  309. 10:37>> So So let me switch to domestic
  310. 10:39politics.
  311. 10:39>> I would say this. I think people were
  312. 10:42wrong. I I never thought unless they
  313. 10:44could be completely armed. I never
  314. 10:47thought they'd have that kind of an
  315. 10:48uprising because these people are
  316. 10:49violent. The so-called leadership is
  317. 10:52very violent. They shoot. They killed
  318. 10:5452,000. How about the wrestler? You
  319. 10:57know, the wrestler is one of the best
  320. 10:58wrestlers in the world. They killed him
  321. 11:00and his two friends just because he
  322. 11:02spoke not even that badly about the
  323. 11:04regime.
  324. 11:05>> They're crazy. Keep killing them because
  325. 11:06they're going to kill their people until
  326. 11:08you do. Uh domestic politics, Mr.
  327. 11:10President, you run uh or at least the
  328. 11:13RNC listens to you very closely. 2028.
  329. 11:16>> Do you think there ought to be one?
  330. 11:18>> Yeah. Do you think there ought to be
  331. 11:20one, many, or a lot of debates? And
  332. 11:24would you moderate one or more of those
  333. 11:25debates?
  334. 11:26>> That's I sort of like to do that.
  335. 11:28Nobody, nobody gave me that one. You
  336. 11:30always have a unique way. I'd love to do
  337. 11:33it. I'm sure the Democrats would be
  338. 11:34thrilled, but I would certainly uh
  339. 11:37moderate. You're talking to the debate
  340. 11:38between a Republican and a
  341. 11:39>> Oh, yeah. Because the the the numbers
  342. 11:41would go through the ceiling. We'd get a
  343. 11:43100 million people when you'd ask him
  344. 11:45about Iran.
  345. 11:46>> Yeah, I get good numbers. No, I like the
  346. 11:49idea about I would I would absolutely do
  347. 11:51it. Now, find the Democrat that's going
  348. 11:53to do it. I always complained when that
  349. 11:55loser from ABC did the, you know, did
  350. 11:58the debate and he was so biased and I
  351. 12:01was basically, it was him and an unknown
  352. 12:03woman, but who was a radical left person
  353. 12:06and I said, "Well, wait a minute. This
  354. 12:07is two and a half against one." They
  355. 12:09said, "Who's the half?" I said, "Kamla
  356. 12:11is the half." I got two people plus a
  357. 12:14half against me. No, I would love to do
  358. 12:16something like that. I can't imagine
  359. 12:18they do it, but if they would do it, I
  360. 12:19would do it.
  361. 12:20>> Oh, you'd get the vice president, Marco
  362. 12:22Rubio. you'd get uh Senator Cruz, you'd
  363. 12:24be a great moderator. I I really urge
  364. 12:26you to do that.
  365. 12:27>> Okay.
  366. 12:27>> Um
  367. 12:28>> now the the if the Democrats win the
  368. 12:30House, they're going to impeach you. And
  369. 12:32I don't care what the argument is.
  370. 12:33They're just going to find a way to
  371. 12:34impeach you. You know, JD Vance could
  372. 12:37represent you and he can be in the
  373. 12:38Senate doing the same thing. Have you
  374. 12:40thought about that? He's a good lawyer.
  375. 12:42>> Well, I don't like to think about it too
  376. 12:44much because I think we're going to do
  377. 12:45well. In fact, a man just walked into my
  378. 12:47office, the speaker of the house, Mike
  379. 12:50Johnson, who's great. He's doing a great
  380. 12:52job. Don't forget, we have a majority of
  381. 12:54two, three. If we hit four, we're like,
  382. 12:56you know, we're like, uh, we don't know
  383. 12:58what to do. We have so many. And we've
  384. 13:00gotten all this stuff done. We got the
  385. 13:01great big beautiful bill done. And, you
  386. 13:04know, I'll tell you just a fast story.
  387. 13:06Yesterday, we had a lot of people.
  388. 13:07They're building a helport because for
  389. 13:10years they should have had it built at
  390. 13:11the White House. You know, they're
  391. 13:12landing in the mud all the time.
  392. 13:14>> And they were building a little helport.
  393. 13:16Not that little actually, but a helport.
  394. 13:18And they were working on Sunday. And I
  395. 13:20went out to see the men. I said,
  396. 13:22"Remember this, no tax on overtime."
  397. 13:25Okay, think of it. They're working on a
  398. 13:27Sunday, no tax. And they all cheered. I
  399. 13:29said, "Who voted against Trump?" They
  400. 13:30said, "Nobody." So, you know,
  401. 13:32>> I got three suggestions for you. Number
  402. 13:34one, uh, there was an essay in the
  403. 13:36Washington Post, make American the
  404. 13:38official language of America, not
  405. 13:40English. I think you ought to look at
  406. 13:41that because it's a good idea.
  407. 13:44>> Number two, The Ruthless Podcast gets
  408. 13:46more people than any other podcast. You
  409. 13:49ought to have him to the White House and
  410. 13:50do the Ruthless Podcast. Do you know
  411. 13:51them? Carolyn Levit did it.
  412. 13:54>> The Ruthless Podcast. I did hear of it.
  413. 13:56I mean, you know, I'm not afraid to do
  414. 13:58any of these things.
  415. 13:59>> Oh, they're the best and they're pretty
  416. 14:01rollicking.
  417. 14:03>> Carolyn will tell you about it.
  418. 14:04>> Okay, with me.
  419. 14:05>> And then finally, um, you you you we've
  420. 14:08got an AM radio law up on the hill and
  421. 14:11you've got Speaker Johnson there. I
  422. 14:13think Steve Scaliz doesn't like the
  423. 14:15bill. Maybe you can break the speaker
  424. 14:17arm a little bit to get
  425. 14:18>> No, I like the idea. Look, AM is the
  426. 14:21home of Rush, you know, the Rush.
  427. 14:24Remember when he used to go Barack
  428. 14:25Hussein and it he had scream the word
  429. 14:27who said Barack Hussein Obama. Uh, no. A
  430. 14:30lot of our people are on AM radio. The
  431. 14:33answer is I'm very much on to it. We're
  432. 14:35pushing it hard. Mr. Speaker, could you
  433. 14:37just say hello? This is You Huitt.
  434. 14:39>> I love Hugh Huitt. And you I I used to
  435. 14:41be a broadcaster on on AM radio, so I'm
  436. 14:43with you.
  437. 14:44>> Oh. Well, Mr. Speaker, thank you. Get in
  438. 14:47there and get Mr. Scalis to go with you
  439. 14:49and get that thing to the floor because
  440. 14:50we need it to keep
  441. 14:51>> I think we can handle Steve. I do. I
  442. 14:54really do. He's actually a very good
  443. 14:55guy. Will you please work on that?
  444. 14:57>> Great guy. Yes, we we'll be working
  445. 14:58>> Oh, I didn't know that we're having a
  446. 14:59problem. I know we're backing it 100%.
  447. 15:02Nothing's going to happen to AM radio
  448. 15:04that's bad. Okay.
  449. 15:05>> All right. I'm looking forward to your
  450. 15:06speech Thursday night. You want to give
  451. 15:08us a preview?
  452. 15:09>> Uh, it's just going to be a speech like
  453. 15:11a lot of my speeches. I tell you, we got
  454. 15:13a lot of good reviews between uh, you
  455. 15:15know, we went out underneath the most
  456. 15:17beautiful uh, structure you've ever seen
  457. 15:20carved into the mountain and there's
  458. 15:22never been such a beautiful, you know,
  459. 15:24the radical left wants to take it down,
  460. 15:26right? They want to rip that down. But
  461. 15:28we did three of them and then we did on
  462. 15:30July 4th. It was exciting because we had
  463. 15:33425,000 people and there was a little
  464. 15:36lightning. So some brilliant person
  465. 15:37said, "Everybody got to go have to go
  466. 15:39home." So the place goes from packed to
  467. 15:42empty and then I heard about that and I
  468. 15:44said have them come back. We had 150,000
  469. 15:48people come back and I said I thought I
  470. 15:50was going to make the speech at 3:00 in
  471. 15:51the morning. Somebody said some genius
  472. 15:53you said no we'll make it in a couple of
  473. 15:55weeks sir. I said are you kidding?
  474. 15:57>> But I ended up making the speech at
  475. 15:5911:30 and it was wellreceived and people
  476. 16:01loved it and we had a tremendous crowd.
  477. 16:04You saw that and so we
  478. 16:06>> we do pretty well in that regard. You
  479. 16:08>> great speech, Mr. President. Go get
  480. 16:09Pickaxe Mountain and don't keep the
  481. 16:11speaker waiting. I appreciate your time,
  482. 16:13sir.
  483. 16:13>> Okay. And we will do that. We're going
  484. 16:15to take out Pickaxe Mountain. Tell the
  485. 16:17Iranians to be ready.
  486. 16:19>> I will coming. Okay. There's not
  487. 16:22anything they can do about it. All
  488. 16:23right. Thanks a lot. You
  489. 16:25>> Byebye. But
