1. 0:00I was a lieutenant in charge of Patrol
2. 0:01at the time and I was actually just
3. 0:03pulling into my driveway when my patrol
4. 0:06Sergeant called me he was on the scene
5. 0:08of this of this call and very very
6. 0:12competent investigator we were
7. 0:13detectives together at one time and he
8. 0:16said hey I need you to come out to this
9. 0:17scene
10. 0:18because what I'm seeing here not end up
11. 0:21so from the very beginning
12. 0:24did did you smell a rat here
13. 0:27yeah there were certain things
14. 0:28especially that night that some nuances
15. 0:32and things that just didn't seem right
16. 0:33and quite frankly
17. 0:36um her husband you know oftentimes are
18. 0:40not the husband's involved in these
19. 0:41disappearances and he actually
20. 0:43his actions and things he did that day
21. 0:45kind of were leading us towards him well
22. 0:47let's start unraveling this first take a

27. 1:01um so I just got home from work and uh
28. 1:04my wife wasn't there which is unusual
29. 1:06and my kids should have been there by
30. 1:08now from like daycare so I was like oh
31. 1:10maybe she went on a walk
32. 1:11I couldn't find her so I called the
33. 1:13daycare to see what time she picked up
34. 1:15the kids the kids were never picked up
35. 1:16so I got freaked out so I hit like I
36. 1:18find my iPhone app thing and it said
37. 1:21that her it showed her phone like at our
38. 1:23end of our driveway we don't have really
39. 1:24good service okay uh not the end of our
40. 1:26driveway at the end of our street but
41. 1:27just drove down there and I saw her
42. 1:29phone with her headphones because she
43. 1:30started running again and it's her I
44. 1:33found her phone and it's got like hair
45. 1:34ripped out of it like in the headphones
46. 1:36so I'm like totally freaking out
47. 1:38thinking like somebody's like what's her
48. 1:39grabbed her okay what's your address
49. 1:43I guess he went driving down the street
50. 1:47and he saw these sitting on the side of
51. 1:50the road yes
52. 1:51um and that was another thing that kind
53. 1:53of stuck out my mind when I was talking
54. 1:54to him because he had the forethought to
55. 1:56take a photograph of how he found the
56. 1:58phone
57. 1:59and when I asked him why he did that he
58. 2:01said that he'd want to be a detective
59. 2:03and thought that it was important for
60. 2:04him to take an Evidence photograph prior
61. 2:06to collecting it yeah
62. 2:08now knowing all we know now it's almost
63. 2:12scary how convincing she was telling her
64. 2:14story to police right after she returned
65. 2:16home take a look at this and see how
66. 2:18convincing she was

72. 2:42behind they were behind my back

96. 3:52um closet that's what I used to go the
97. 3:55bathroom in
98. 3:58okay the whole time she's saying all
99. 4:00this

103. 4:11for real victims right without question
104. 4:14listen I would zealously defend her and
105. 4:17anyone accused of a crime because that's
106. 4:18my job as a human being I find her
107. 4:22behavior abhorrent I think that she got
108. 4:25off light I think that she sets back
109. 4:28victims in future investigations and
110. 4:31worse law enforcement they have precious
111. 4:34hours that they devoted to her
112. 4:37and quite frankly I don't think that she
113. 4:40was sentenced enough do you have a story
