- 0:05The most important aspect of any earlier
- 0:08years program is play-based learning. I
- 0:10think children at that age must have the
- 0:13opportunity to be able to discover the
- 0:16world of learning through lots of joy
- 0:18and freedom. And I think the PYP is able
- 0:22to harness that energy and is able to
- 0:26truly bring students and teachers
- 0:29together in that sort of environment
- 0:31that fosters the need for and encourages
- 0:35schools to be able to engage with
- 0:37play-based learning a lot more.
- 0:45Content is very contextual. It must be
- 0:48something that students can relate to at
- 0:51any age and stage in their learning
- 0:52journeys. Eventually, they will have to
- 0:55deal with the needs of local systems of
- 0:57national standards and requirements. The
- 1:00PYP allows you enough scope to be able
- 1:03to bring a lot of that into your
- 1:04program.
