  2. 0:05>> The beauty of the PYP program is
  3. 0:08the inquiry-based curriculum. I think
  4. 0:10[music]
  5. 0:11that's the best when you look at all the
  6. 0:13other curriculums because [music]
  7. 0:16it they focus so much on content. Here
  8. 0:18we are focusing on inquiry and inquiry
  9. 0:21helps students [music] to ask questions,
  10. 0:24think, and give their responses. So, I
  11. 0:27think that's a beautiful framework that
  12. 0:29>> [music]
  13. 0:29>> the IB has in the PYP.
  14. 0:36>> [music]
  15. 0:37>> We use play to teach the concepts. Play
  16. 0:41is integrated in our earliest
  17. 0:43throughout. Play helps them involve and
  18. 0:46understand [music] better than a
  19. 0:48road-based curriculum.

  21. 0:56>> So, what our PYP coordinator does with
  22. 0:59the teachers is they collaborate in the
  23. 1:02program of inquiry where they build in
  24. 1:05the skills and attitudes [music]
  25. 1:07into the play when they they're planning
  26. 1:09their theme. So, they do four themes in
  27. 1:12the PYP
  28. 1:14in the early years, too. So, they decide
  29. 1:16that what is it that they want to
  30. 1:18include [music] in their POI and it's
  31. 1:21done collaboratively so that all the
  32. 1:23skills and attitudes are integrated into
  33. 1:26the into the concepts that they're going
  34. 1:28to teach.
