20. 0:49propaganda Out There Our thesis was you
21. 0:52don't fight propaganda with more
22. 0:53propaganda you you fight propaganda with
23. 0:55truth and the best truth is personal
24. 0:58stories of folks that are there that
25. 1:01have lived this this kind of stuff the

27. 1:06of pastors Aid workers and believers who
28. 1:09have been captured tortured or forced to
29. 1:11flee because of their faith the folks
30. 1:13that stayed in these War torn areas to
31. 1:16help and to minister to their folks and
32. 1:20to others to provide Aid we're really
33. 1:23really doing some amazing stuff when the
34. 1:25Russians took over and and found these
35. 1:28evangelicals they find them very
36. 1:30threatening CBN News traveled to Ukraine
37. 1:33to join former Green Beret Christian
38. 1:35hickey who moved his family there in
39. 1:372022 as a missionary to soldiers
40. 1:40fighting and dying on the front lines we
41. 1:43want to give the food hand with a Bible
42. 1:45and pray so we just don't want to give
43. 1:47food we actually want to give Jesus and
44. 1:49that food gives us the access and
45. 1:50placement to have a conversation about
46. 1:52Jesus a faith Under Siege isn't just
47. 1:55about exposing Russian war crimes it's a
48. 1:58call to action for Christians worldwide
49. 2:00to pray and stand with their brothers
50. 2:02and sisters in Ukraine God is our refuge
51. 2:05and our strength a very present help in
52. 2:09trouble the film is getting exposure at
53. 2:11the Museum of the Bible and producers
54. 2:13say they hope to shed light on the
55. 2:15crisis and mobilize Christians our
56. 2:19reporting on the ground matches the
57. 2:20claims made in the film that Evangelical
58. 2:23Christians in Ukraine are facing
59. 2:24targeted persecution at the hands of
60. 2:26Russian forces this is the good news
61. 2:30Church in
62. 2:31cremor and it's only about 10 miles from
63. 2:35what is now the front lines of this war
64. 2:38before the war started they had about
65. 2:41700 people every week and most of those
66. 2:44people fled after the war started but
67. 2:47now they say they have a new church here
68. 2:50because they have about 200 people every
69. 2:52week who come that weren't members of
70. 2:55the church before the war started but
71. 2:57came looking for help and this is is
72. 3:00where they found it I think the biggest
73. 3:02thing is really praying for the
74. 3:04Christians that are caught in this
75. 3:05conflict and that they're able to serve
76. 3:07as a model for our faith both in staying
77. 3:10strong providing Aid being a beacon of
78. 3:12light to their Community as well as just
79. 3:15an end to this war a just end to this
80. 3:17war from Ukraine I'm Chuck Holton for
81. 3:20CBN
82. 3:22News thanks Chuck Gordon you well know
83. 3:24that Ukraine is seen as the Bible Belt
84. 3:26between east and west and for people who
85. 3:29want to see more information about the
86. 3:30movie they can go to
87. 3:31cbnnews.com yeah I do U I do know well
88. 3:35the the the history of Christianity in
89. 3:38Ukraine uh there's there's now a stark
90. 3:41division between the Ukrainian Orthodox
91. 3:44church and the Russian Orthodox Church
92. 3:46the patriarch of the Russian Orthodox
93. 3:49has really twisted St Augustine's
94. 3:52doctrine of just war and he's issued an
95. 3:56opinion that the war in Ukraine is just
96. 4:00and that Russia is in the right U
97. 4:03because they're uh trying to wipe out
98. 4:05the Nazis of Ukraine and that propaganda
99. 4:10has spread throughout Russia where
100. 4:12literally even within families um
101. 4:14because their families across this
102. 4:16border uh So a family in Ukraine will be
103. 4:20told by their relatives in Russia well
104. 4:24you deserve this because of all the bad
105. 4:27things that you have done part of the
106. 4:30war is trying to assert religious
107. 4:32control over Ukraine and and that's
108. 4:36absolute and talk to any missionary that
109. 4:39has ever been to the former Soviet Union
110. 4:42has uh after the fall tried to work all
111. 4:45of that is being shut down uh because of
112. 4:48the link between the Russian Orthodox
113. 4:50church and um president pu Putin this is
114. 4:54trying to impose that and so if you're
115. 4:57Evangelical and you're in that war zone
116. 5:00the Evangelical pastors are coming under
117. 5:03severe persecution we need As Americans
118. 5:06to stand against that uh America
119. 5:08believes in Liberty that Liberty is the
120. 5:11oxygen of humanity that Liberty says
121. 5:16that you have the absolute right to
122. 5:19freedom of conscience you can believe in
123. 5:22the religion of your choice or you can
124. 5:24believe in no religion at all that's
125. 5:27part of the deal too uh that's the whole
126. 5:29meaning behind freedom of religion and
127. 5:32so let's let's stand with our Christian
128. 5:36brothers and sisters in Ukraine if you
129. 5:38want to find out more about this because
130. 5:40the the film has eyewitness testimonies
131. 5:43uh you don't have to take my word for it
132. 5:44you can watch it yourself as to what is
133. 5:47going on to the Evangelical pastors
134. 5:49there what is happening to their
