- 0:00Hi, I'm Ois Kasim doing my PhD here in
- 0:02Germany on DAD scholarship and I have
- 0:05received this question so many times
- 0:06that is GPA everything for a DA
- 0:09scholarship. Let me tell you I don't
- 0:11think so not at all because the DAD
- 0:13looks at the whole of you not just your
- 0:15transcript. I agree that academic
- 0:17performance matter but so are the
- 0:19quality of your research project that
- 0:21you will be submitting with the DAD or
- 0:23your PhD. your communication style, how
- 0:26you communicate things, how you do in
- 0:28your interview and your motivation to
- 0:31study in Germany, extracurricular
- 0:33involvement in your academic journey and
- 0:37language proficiency uh experience like
- 0:39internship if you have done some
- 0:41internships and the work experience
- 0:43which is not required but it may
- 0:45positively impact your application also.
- 0:47Same is the case for publications. It's
- 0:48not a requirement. But if you have some
- 0:50publications like in conferences and
- 0:52journals, it will positively impact your
- 0:54application. Just show them your
- 0:57purpose, motivation and potential.
