17. 0:38deliberation I mean she stalked her
18. 0:40victim she planned it this was an
19. 0:43execution style killing Lazarus was an
20. 0:46LAPD detective at the time arrested for
21. 0:48a murder that took place in 1986
22. 0:51detectives assigned to the Los Angeles
23. 0:53Police Department's Robbery Homicide
24. 0:55division cold K Squad arrested Los
25. 0:57Angeles police detective Stephanie Lazar
26. 1:00they say Lazarus killed 29-year-old Sher
27. 1:02rasm rasm had married lazarus's
28. 1:05ex-boyfriend just 3 months earlier I'm
29. 1:08really shocked that somebody would be
30. 1:10blame saying that I did this I mean we
31. 1:12had a fight and so I went and killed her
32. 1:14I mean come on under interrogation
33. 1:16Lazarus walks out of the interview and
34. 1:18is arrested she is tried in 2012 found
35. 1:21guilty and sentenced to 27 years in
36. 1:23prison today she was at the California
37. 1:26Institution for Women in Corona for a
38. 1:28parole hearing Lazarus has told
39. 1:30Commissioners she studied the Bible and
40. 1:32got a master's degree in Divinity
41. 1:34studies she added today I have learned
42. 1:36that I cannot control anyone but myself
43. 1:39and I am responsible for my decisions
44. 1:41rash M's husband John ruon told
45. 1:43Commissioners Lazarus has lied before
46. 1:46the inmate has exercised her rights to
47. 1:48the fullest but has never done the right
48. 1:50thing this is not a typical criminal
49. 1:52Rehabilitation I am asking that this
50. 1:54grant of parole be reversed she's only
51. 1:56served 15 years out of a sentence that
52. 1:59had an exposure of life for her so I
53. 2:01think they they're thinking to
54. 2:02themselves maybe despite her conduct in
55. 2:04prison uh the fact that she does appear
56. 2:07to be a model inmate this is the type of
57. 2:09case that we they want to take another
58. 2:11deeper look at there will be another
59. 2:13chance for parole Lazarus will be set
60. 2:15for another suitability hearing within
