2. 0:01input on the messaging to young boys
3. 0:04today well I think if you teach boys
4. 0:06that being assertive and aggressive and
5. 0:09taking risks and not showing emotion and
6. 0:11hard
7. 0:12situations uh I I think if you teach
8. 0:14boys that these kind of behaviors which
9. 0:16are typically masculine behaviors and I
10. 0:19would even go so far as to say biblical
11. 0:21uh masculine behaviors if you teach them
12. 0:23that all of that is bad and a sign of
13. 0:25their toxicity here's the deal Megan
14. 0:27boys are going to believe that they're
15. 0:29going to you when you say you really
16. 0:32need to be more like a girl and that's
17. 0:34basically how boys and young men are
18. 0:36treated today they need to be boyish
19. 0:39girls and that that just shows us where
20. 0:41we are as a culture we're in a queered
21. 0:43culture today where the lines between
22. 0:45men and women are blurred where your sex
23. 0:48is blurred where androgyny proliferates
24. 0:51and this is a tremendous problem it
25. 0:53really goes against the nature and the
26. 0:55wiring of a boy boys are made by God for
27. 0:58his glory just as girls are made by by
28. 1:00God for his glory and boys actually are
29. 1:02wired to be aggressive and assertive in
30. 1:04a proper fashion they need shepherding
31. 1:06and correcting but on average boys have
32. 1:08about 2,000 to 3,000% more testosterone
33. 1:11than girls that explains why boys when
34. 1:14when you look around at them you know on
35. 1:15a playground if we still have
36. 1:17playgrounds in 2023 want to compete and
37. 1:20and and have physical contact and have
38. 1:23this massive Quest that they're on even
39. 1:25in the 20 minutes of recess that's
40. 1:27because of the wiring of boys that's
41. 1:28because God made Bo boys that way he
42. 1:30made boys for Action Adam was made
43. 1:33Genesis 2:15 to work and protect the
44. 1:36Garden of Eden so this is in a boy you
45. 1:38can try to take it out of a boy you can
46. 1:40stick a needle in his neck and try to
47. 1:42extract the manhood from a boy but again
48. 1:44this is how boys are made I went to the
49. 1:47high school football game with you know
50. 1:50my kids are in elementary school and
51. 1:51middle school but I went to the high
52. 1:52school football game on Saturday it's
53. 1:54actually really sweet cuz my little guy
54. 1:56was one of the water boys each week they
55. 1:59take some of the fourth grade aters and
56. 2:00let them be the water boys for the
57. 2:01varsity it was adorable um but I was
58. 2:04looking at the kids in the stands and
59. 2:07they have like sort of the area of the
60. 2:09stands where the 9th through 12th
61. 2:11graders cheer and it was like you could
62. 2:14see these young boys you know let's say
63. 2:1714 through 18 coming into this
64. 2:21testosterone driven period of life and
65. 2:24they looked amazing they were they were
66. 2:26so full of enthusiasm you know it's
67. 2:27killer be killed on you know for the
68. 2:29footb team and they were cheering and
69. 2:31they were they had a door that they
70. 2:33destroyed we lost it was sad but anyway
71. 2:36and then you had the girls who were very
72. 2:39different you could see they did not
73. 2:41have all that testosterone running
74. 2:42through their veins but they had their
75. 2:44cute little outfits on and they all were
76. 2:46beautiful and they were sitting there
77. 2:47and they they had a different role to
78. 2:48play I feel like the feminists would
79. 2:51come to this and be like toxic toxic
80. 2:53toxic and you're bad too for wanting to
81. 2:55look attractive to the boys and they
82. 2:57want some sort of merged version of
83. 2:59these
84. 3:01too yeah and that's what's proliferating
85. 3:03on college campuses today you think
86. 3:05about what they call the Skittle Skittle
87. 3:07hair phenomenon where you've got orange
88. 3:08or pink hair and everyone's wearing the
89. 3:10same weird baggy clothes and uh and no
90. 3:13one's quite sure of who anyone is you're
91. 3:15in my native New England I'm from Maine
92. 3:17and so it warms my heart listening to
93. 3:19the earlier conversation to hear you
94. 3:20speaking so positively about New England
95. 3:22and I love that even in New England
96. 3:24there's not a lot of uh amazing football
97. 3:26players produced from that region let
98. 3:27that be said but nonetheless you got
99. 3:29Friday night lights or Saturday night
100. 3:30lights all across America and it is
101. 3:32Megan this testimony this Testament to
102. 3:35enduring manhood and Womanhood and it is
103. 3:38a good thing fundamentally for boys to
104. 3:41have that native Instinct for
105. 3:43competition and to be a hero and to
106. 3:46compete in in big contests and not every
107. 3:49boy of course is going to be a
108. 3:50quarterback he's going to be you know
109. 3:52the the six touchdown throwing
110. 3:53quarterback but even for boys to have a
111. 3:55role in those kind of good bigger
112. 3:59realities than they are instead of
113. 4:01leading a kind of plastic artificial
114. 4:03life on screens you know having a little
115. 4:05herum on only fans and and you know
116. 4:08cultivating your own little curated
117. 4:10quest for meaning an adventure in a
118. 4:12video game and not never talking to
119. 4:14anybody never going outside of your
120. 4:16basement our culture and Society wants
121. 4:19young men to fail it's actively cheering
122. 4:22for them to fail and it wants young men
123. 4:24and boys to lead plastic lives it wants
124. 4:27the rise of women and the decline of men
125. 4:29I can't tell you why it's not good for
126. 4:31anybody but this is what the woke
127. 4:33leftists Among Us want and what I'm
128. 4:36trying to say in this book the war on
129. 4:37men is we actually want those kind of
130. 4:40cultures that you were just talking
131. 4:42about where boys are trained into
132. 4:44something bigger than themselves where
133. 4:45they hurt where they take risks where
134. 4:48there's you know there's real danger at
135. 4:50hand but that's good for them it it
136. 4:52grows them up from Boyhood to manhood so
137. 4:55there's all sorts of good that we find
138. 4:57as a common Grace witness in Friday
139. 4:59night life
140. 5:00mm the I mean what happens is more and
141. 5:03more now and there was just a report
142. 5:05about this about uh
143. 5:08how if you look at all the major
144. 5:10corporations the the number of white
145. 5:13males who are getting hired or just men
146. 5:16at all is down at like 6% I I got to get
147. 5:19the actual numbers so don't hold me to
148. 5:20that exact stat but I think that's what
149. 5:21it was um because we're so focused on
150. 5:24diversity Equity inclusion and that
151. 5:25means and women are in there too so
152. 5:27women kind of go first uh and then if
153. 5:29you have any sort of identity that gets
154. 5:32you into the special box you go next and
155. 5:34left at the bottom are men and in
156. 5:36particular white men and so they're in
157. 5:39this place where what do they do should
158. 5:42they work hard in school because what's
159. 5:44going to happen when they get out a lot
160. 5:45of these guys want to go in finance
161. 5:47maybe their dads are in finance it's a
162. 5:49no good luck what what bank is going to
163. 5:51hire you like they're their focus are
164. 5:53obsessed with diversity and that means
165. 5:55someone other than you it means a woman
166. 5:57it means a person of color not a wife
167. 5:59white guy not a white kid no matter how
168. 6:01smart no matter so all of it is so
169. 6:03dejecting and that leads me to this um
170. 6:06it was an axios report that the Daily
171. 6:08Caller did a great piece on called men
172. 6:10leaving the workforce is not a win not
173. 6:12not a win for women they were taking
174. 6:15issue with this axios framing of the
175. 6:17stat that men are leaving the workforce
176. 6:19in record numbers and they the spin was
177. 6:22that this was somehow a win for women's
178. 6:25equality the writer there the reporter
179. 6:27Mary Rook concluding that uh 7 million
180. 6:30men in the prime of their life opting
181. 6:33out of the labor market um according to
182. 6:36a report that had been released by Marco
183. 6:37Rubio this is not a good thing the lack
184. 6:40of available upward Mobility is soul
185. 6:42crushing it's Soul crushing for these
186. 6:44guys and it's not good for women either
187. 6:46what do you make of it oh I completely
188. 6:48agree it's terrible when men are not
189. 6:51called to be strong and I of course
190. 6:53believe ultimately in in being called to
191. 6:55be strong in the grace of God you have
192. 6:57to die to yourself as a man or a a woman
193. 7:00know that you are weak but that Christ
194. 7:02died on the cross and rose again for
195. 7:04your salvation and that's when truly a
196. 7:06men finds the key to being strong there
197. 7:10are job difficulties all around us the
198. 7:12society is working against boys and
199. 7:14young men if you're active and assertive
200. 7:16and aggressive if you just have white
201. 7:18skin so so to speak and you're you're a
202. 7:21man today you're in the cultural Penalty
203. 7:23Box you may not do anything bad per se
204. 7:25in public but you're already in the
205. 7:27cultural Penalty Box and so this means
206. 7:29that many men find themselves in
207. 7:31Desperate circumstances today and they
208. 7:33have no hope Megan to to entwine that
209. 7:36factor with the workforce participation
210. 7:39we're basically at the level of the
211. 7:40Great Depression by the way in terms of
212. 7:42male Workforce rates in Prime working
213. 7:44years today as I show in the war on men
214. 7:46if you entwine that with the spiritual
215. 7:49state of men you just recognize that men
216. 7:51basically are hopeless we we're throwing
217. 7:53stats out we're talking this through but
218. 7:55if you want just one word on the
219. 7:57predicament of Modern Men especially we
220. 8:00can say modern white men if you look at
221. 8:02stats in terms of suicides not that this
222. 8:04conversation is solely about them but
223. 8:06they're hopeless they don't know where
224. 8:07to go they don't have anyone to turn to
225. 8:10even many churches don't strengthen them
226. 8:12in terms of the broader Mainline
227. 8:13denominations out there so men are in a
228. 8:16desperate condition but here's the deal
229. 8:18this is actually a great moment God
230. 8:21loves to redeem us when we're in
231. 8:22darkness God loves to do work in the
232. 8:24shadows in the corners and that's where
233. 8:26many men are men are dropping out boys
234. 8:28are becoming School shooters public
235. 8:31Shooters um men are disappearing from
236. 8:33colleges and Universities at seven times
237. 8:35the rate of women today in the post
238. 8:37lockdown era but what I'm here to say
239. 8:39and what my book the war on men says
240. 8:41above all is not that this is a terrible
241. 8:44situation alone it is actually I'm here
242. 8:47to say but God is at work today and it
243. 8:50is in your Valley that God can find you
244. 8:53and you can be changed and you can be
245. 8:55strengthened and you can be transformed
246. 8:57by the grace of God in Jesus Christ I
247. 8:58know not everybody watching this or
248. 9:00listening to this is is a Christian as I
249. 9:03am but I I am daring to do something
250. 9:05Megan whether one agrees with me or not
251. 9:08that very few people do and that is
252. 9:10believe in men I I don't just want to
253. 9:12critique them I want to put an arm
254. 9:14around their shoulder and say you can
255. 9:16change you can grow there is hope for
256. 9:19you but that's a revolutionary message
