  1. 0:00After a month of use, how does the Oppo
  2. 0:03Find N6 hold up? Well, spoiler, there's
  3. 0:06good and there's definitely some bad as
  4. 0:10well. Welcome back to Anakin Dad. Let's
  5. 0:13just cut the crap and get straight into
  6. 0:15this thing. The Oppo Find N6 is a really
  7. 0:18good foldable phone, but there are
  8. 0:21certainly issues I have and these are my
  9. 0:24biggest complaints. With the first one
  10. 0:26being batteries. So, I've used this
  11. 0:29thing mostly on the interior display as
  12. 0:32you should. And this thing probably gets
  13. 0:36me about 6 hours of screen on time. 6
  14. 0:39hours of screen on time is not that
  15. 0:41good. Of course, it's a 6,000 mA battery
  16. 0:45and that's pretty big, but that's big
  17. 0:47for a phone with this size screen, not
  18. 0:52this size screen. So, for a user that is
  19. 0:54mainly on the interior display, you're
  20. 0:56going to want a bigger battery. Honor
  21. 0:59Magic V6, but yeah, it's it's on par.
  22. 1:03It's it's just it's mid. It's it's not
  23. 1:06the best. Now, let's talk display. Now,
  24. 1:08yes, the display is good, but the time
  25. 1:11at the top left and the battery on the
  26. 1:14top right, those are way too small,
  27. 1:18guys. Like this is way too small and I
  28. 1:21have found a way to fix it somewhat, but
  29. 1:25when you do this, the entire UI gets
  30. 1:27larger. Like I wish there was just a way
  31. 1:30to change the time and battery size up
  32. 1:32at the top and not change everything at
  33. 1:35the same time. I've somewhat fixed it
  34. 1:37with this setting, but yeah, still
  35. 1:39that's an issue. It's too small. They
  36. 1:41need to fix that. Now, the Oppo Find N6
  37. 1:44did move the buttons on the side down to
  38. 1:47a normal location, but the added button
  39. 1:50this year, the gesture button, AI
  40. 1:53button, whatever,
  41. 1:54it's really high up. Like the only
  42. 1:57usable feature I found there was turning
  43. 1:59on the flashlight and if I want to turn
  44. 2:01the flashlight on, I got to reach all
  45. 2:04the way up by the flashlight itself.
  46. 2:07But, the V3, the Honor Magic V3, it's
  47. 2:11right here.
  48. 2:12Double press the volume down and you
  49. 2:15have the flashlight. That's actually way
  50. 2:17more options with the V3 in terms of
  51. 2:20double pressing the volume down. Like
  52. 2:22you can do so many more things. This
  53. 2:24button is limited to like 10 things and
  54. 2:28none of them are open an app. Like you
  55. 2:30would expect open an app would be, you
  56. 2:32know, a thing for that button. It's not.
  57. 2:35That's kind of lame. ColorOS is a very
  58. 2:38good operating system, but guys, there's
  59. 2:41simple things like Life360. You know, I
  60. 2:44have a family, maybe they want to check
  61. 2:46my location.
  62. 2:48This thing only updates like once an
  63. 2:50hour whenever you even allow it to use
  64. 2:53all the time access the location all the
  65. 2:55time. Yeah, still doesn't update. Like
  66. 2:58it's only once an hour and I've looked
  67. 3:00through all of the battery settings.
  68. 3:02I've looked through special access. I
  69. 3:03know what I'm doing. I know what I'm
  70. 3:05talking about. I can't seem to find a
  71. 3:08way. Like I've tried deleting Life360.
  72. 3:10It's just and it's a global. You would
  73. 3:12expect this from a Chinese ROM, but the
  74. 3:14global still has like some kind of
  75. 3:16battery management on Life360 where it
  76. 3:19only updates like once an hour. I've
  77. 3:21checked Life360 settings. That's just
  78. 3:23That's another issue I have with this
  79. 3:24thing. All right, so this thing is a
  80. 3:26very lightweight device. Like you open
  81. 3:29this thing and using the O snap grip,
  82. 3:31it's very nice to hold, very
  83. 3:33lightweight, feels awesome.
  84. 3:36But, I will say the corner, again, once
  85. 3:39again, I talked about this in my first
  86. 3:41time first impressions. This corner here
  87. 3:44is really sharp. Like you want to hold
  88. 3:47the phone in your left hand, good luck.
  89. 3:48Good luck, your hand's cooked.
  90. 3:49Continuing the bad, sadly I have to talk
  91. 3:52about the cameras. The cameras are quite
  92. 3:55underwhelming. Yes, you get a 200
  93. 3:57megapixel main sensor, but what good is
  94. 3:59a 200 megapixel main sensor if it takes
  95. 4:02this long to take a single photo. Now,
  96. 4:05that is like on all phones. It does take
  97. 4:08longer to get the higher resolution
  98. 4:10photo, but this has the Snapdragon 8
  99. 4:12Elite Gen 5.
  100. 4:14Shouldn't it just be like 1 second? No,
  101. 4:17it's honestly like 3 seconds long and
  102. 4:19you got to hold the phone still. It's
  103. 4:21just a complaint with the camera I've
  104. 4:24noticed. Like yay, 200 megapixel. It was
  105. 4:26all for marketing, but really, it was
  106. 4:29all for marketing. Now, for photos in
  107. 4:31general, regular photos, there's no like
  108. 4:34natural color mode you can put this
  109. 4:36camera in. Instead, it's original.
  110. 4:39That's the closest to real life that you
  111. 4:42get. So, just like the 200 megapixel
  112. 4:44added camera this year, like the main
  113. 4:46sensor, they also added a color sensor
  114. 4:50and this is specifically to capture the
  115. 4:52color of the scenery to help your photos
  116. 4:54look more realistic. Well,
  117. 4:57they look far from realistic in terms of
  118. 5:00color. Everything's oversaturated. The
  119. 5:02color of the grass is so green. If this
  120. 5:05what Hey, if this is what you like, go
  121. 5:07for it. You know, the grass really,
  122. 5:09really green. Everything is
  123. 5:11oversaturated. The sky is extremely blue
  124. 5:14when it really isn't that in real life.
  125. 5:16If you like that, here's the phone for
  126. 5:18you. I like more true to life coloring.
  127. 5:20These photos, they look good. All right,
  128. 5:22the detail is there, but the color is
  129. 5:24just off. Like you would think an added
  130. 5:27color sensor would help. It literally is
  131. 5:29worse than my Honor Magic V3 in terms of
  132. 5:32color accuracy. The Honor Magic V3 has
  133. 5:35nothing for color added for a camera.
  134. 5:37So, just wanted to point that out there.
  135. 5:39Let's take a look at the video quality
  136. 5:41though, cuz I think that is the
  137. 5:43strongest part about this phone. Video
  138. 5:45quality is great. Video quality never
  139. 5:48fails to impress me on any Oppo device.
  140. 5:52Their video quality is amazing.
  141. 5:56So, we'll switch to the ultra-wide
  142. 5:59at point 6x.
  143. 6:02Colors
  144. 6:04are a little oversaturated.
  145. 6:07So, everything looks a little too green.
  146. 6:10Like the grass is not that green in real
  147. 6:11life. Even though they added a color
  148. 6:13sensor, this is once again why I think
  149. 6:15the Honor Magic V6 is just a better
  150. 6:19camera.
  151. 6:20Let's do 2x.
  152. 6:243x.
  153. 6:29It looks good,
  154. 6:31but
  155. 6:33it could be
  156. 6:34better.
  157. 6:37But, the zoom smoothness is really nice.
  158. 6:46Now, the Oppo Find N6 has a 6.62
  159. 6:50inch outer display. I find it too big. I
  160. 6:53like a little bit smaller outer display
  161. 6:56and you can open it up to a nice big
  162. 6:58display. Well, this has a big outer
  163. 7:00display with an even bigger inner
  164. 7:02display. That's in my opinion not for
  165. 7:05me. If you want a really big phone that
  166. 7:08can get even bigger, this is the phone
  167. 7:10for you, but it makes me open this thing
  168. 7:13up more and use the inside more and that
  169. 7:16uses more battery. Like I said earlier,
  170. 7:18the battery is not that good for a
  171. 7:21display of this size. Speaking of the
  172. 7:23inner display, the crease is good. The
  173. 7:26crease is really good.
  174. 7:28This is after a month of use and it
  175. 7:31looks like day two. Like this crease is
  176. 7:34honestly actually the best crease on any
  177. 7:37foldable phone in the world, but they
  178. 7:40claim it's zero feel crease. You can
  179. 7:42totally feel this thing if unless you
  180. 7:44have like really not sensitive hands,
  181. 7:47then never mind. But, the crease is
  182. 7:48extremely great on this phone. I've had
  183. 7:51no issues with it. Also, the hinge
  184. 7:53itself, this phone this phone can stay
  185. 7:56at any angle you please. The hinge is
  186. 7:59really strong on the Oppo Find N6. It
  187. 8:02still feels like day one. The hinge is
  188. 8:04so sturdy, but I couldn't say that about
  189. 8:06the V3, Honor Magic V3. It wants to
  190. 8:09close when you get it to a 45° angle.
  191. 8:12The Oppo Find N6 still feels like day
  192. 8:14one and will not close unless you want
  193. 8:17this thing to close. So, really good.
  194. 8:20Guys, that's the Anakin discount code
  195. 8:23for the Average Dad Tech Store. Go to
  196. 8:25the Average Dad Tech Store and find your
  197. 8:28favorite phone and then when you're at
  198. 8:29the checkout, type in discount code
  199. 8:31Anakin for a discount. I recommend the
  200. 8:34Average Dad Tech Store because it has
  201. 8:36the fastest shipping and the best
  202. 8:37prices. Go to the link in the
  203. 8:39description and use code Anakin for the
  204. 8:41discount. The speakers are really good.
  205. 8:44These are really good foldable phone
  206. 8:46speakers. They do handle the lows really
  207. 8:48good. They're not as loud as the V6, but
  208. 8:51they are the best quality sounding
  209. 8:54speakers that I've heard on a foldable
  210. 8:56phone. Probably
  211. 8:58yeah, ever. These are really good.
  212. 9:12>> [music]
  213. 9:14>> The buttons are extremely clicky. They
  214. 9:17are the best buttons probably I've ever
  215. 9:19felt on a phone in general. They haven't
  216. 9:21gotten mushy at all and that leads me
  217. 9:24into durability. The phone has been
  218. 9:26dropped a few times within the first
  219. 9:29month, but not on anything like rocks or
  220. 9:31anything like that. It's been dropped on
  221. 9:33a few hard surfaces and the only damage
  222. 9:36is right here on this button here and
  223. 9:39there is like the coloring gone on the
  224. 9:41hinge itself, but other than that, it
  225. 9:43looks amazing. Like this thing is held
  226. 9:46up pristinely. Like the screen itself,
  227. 9:48it has a screen protector on both
  228. 9:50screens and the only scratches are
  229. 9:52actually on the exterior display and
  230. 9:55that's just a screen protector. So, it's
  231. 9:57holding up really well. If you could,
  232. 10:00please subscribe. We're on the road to
  233. 10:014,000 subscribers. If you didn't see
  234. 10:04yesterday's video, I compared the Huawei
  235. 10:07Mate XT versus the Honor Magic V3. And
  236. 10:10with that being said, guys, thank you so
  237. 10:12much for watching. I'll see you in the
  238. 10:14next one. Peace.
