0:56you today in this standalone message. Uh
0:59Pastor Phillip has uh
1:03tapped me for such a time as this.

1:09>> Just want to welcome all my guests, all
1:11the guests from all around the world and
1:13all the digital disciples. But we want
1:15[music] to say welcome y'all. Welcome to
1:17the overflow. Welcome to everybody. Just

1:24and uh we uh welcome to the unbeliever.
1:27The one that is still trying to figure
1:29out the claims of Christ. The one that's
1:31still struggling with the [music] is is
1:34is Jesus credible
1:38or is all this other stuff credible?
1:41We welcome you. We ask that you just
1:43keep coming.
1:46We ask that you with a sincere and open
1:48heart.
1:50I saw a video a man uh he said he's
1:53going to he's going to follow Jesus and
1:55live like Jesus for 30 days. He was an
1:57atheist. He said but he's I'm going to
1:59do it with a clear and open heart, a
2:02genuine heart with no bias.
2:06>> And he end up giving his life to Christ
2:08after the 30 days.

2:13>> So let that be your testimony. The one
2:15that is wrestling in his soul.
2:18We are a house of prayer, presence, and
2:21proclamation. We will stand on that
2:23until the Lord Jesus comes back. And we
2:25also would like to honor our lead
2:27pastor, Philip Anthony Mitchell.

2:57>> Pray with me as I pray for you.
3:02Holy Father,
3:05how great thou are.
3:08Thank you that we have a place to
3:12worship your holy name under your mighty
3:15pavilion. Holy Spirit, have your way in
3:18this place.
3:23Help me.
3:25Help my mind. Help my emotions. Help
3:28[music] my understanding. Give me
3:31revelation from on high. God, I need
3:33you. Lord,
3:36I am just a broken jar. Father,
3:41without you, I am nothing.
3:44I cannot do nothing.
3:49The knowledge I have is limited, but you
3:51have all knowledge, Lord. I I just ask
3:53that you will just pour that out on your
3:55people, God.
4:00Help me in this moment. None of me and
4:03all of you. Have your way in this place.
4:05Have your way in my heart. Have your way
4:07in the hearts
4:11of your sons and daughters. That it will
4:14be good ground.
4:16That you will be magnified and glorified
4:22in all that we do today.
4:26Help us to love you more, Holy Father.
4:29Help us to honor you more, Holy Father.
4:35Help us to depend on you more.
4:39I pray this
4:42over your sons and daughters,
4:45even myself, Lord.
4:48Step in and have your way.
4:53glorify your name
4:56and your name alone.
4:58My name means nothing.

5:19Beloved family, um,
5:22back when I was, uh, newly born again,
5:26uh, my stepfather,
5:28his name was Ernest Ernest Odum Jr., uh,
5:32he was a, a good man, a godly man.
5:37He uh, he really showed me what a godly
5:42man should look like.
5:44And we used to just sit and just talk
5:47about the Bible. sit and just talk about
5:50life. We just commune on the regular.
5:55And unfortunately,
5:58me and Ernest relationship kind of faded
6:01away. Um, I cherished this relationship
6:04so much
6:09and it was nothing that I did, nothing
6:11that he did. It was just uh we all know
6:14we we we've had good people in our
6:16lives. We had godly people in our lives
6:18and just over time we seem to just start
6:22drifting away.
6:24We just start just just a a separation
6:26of time and space and and activities.
6:29Things was going on in his life and
6:31things were going on in my life and and
6:33and
6:35slowly but surely the cause started
6:38getting further and further and further
6:41apart.
6:44And um even now um it's still as you can
6:48see it still bothers me a little bit um
6:52that that relationship uh is no more. It
6:56was just a season. But I thank God for
6:59that relationship because it steward in
7:01me uh uh on a godly path on how I should
7:05approach the Lord, how I should love the
7:08Lord, how I should uh obey the Lord and
7:11and trust what he is doing in me.
7:15And just like our earthly relationships
7:17that we cherish so much, how much more
7:20should we cherish our relationship with
7:22the Lord Jesus Christ?
7:25God has established a way that we can
7:28continue to be in constant fellowship
7:31with him, constant communion with him,
7:33and that is by prayer.
7:39Just like our earthly relationships have
7:41we we drift apart,
7:44God has established prayer that we do
7:47not drift apart. He's placed his spirit
7:50in us so that we cannot drift apart.
7:55Even though we may feel that he is
7:58always there.
8:02We rely on our own wisdom.
8:05We stay busy with work and entertainment
8:08and we neglect pray prayer.
8:12Some of us don't pray because of doubt
8:14and weariness.
8:18>> We have been praying and praying and
8:21praying and praying and praying and
8:24praying
8:26>> and we still had not received.
8:30And unfortunately that pushes us in a
8:33place of hopelessness and we feel like
8:36there's no point of prayer.
8:39Shame and guilt from our own sins keeps
8:43us away from praying. We feel like we
8:46are unworthy
8:48to pray.
8:50We feel like
8:52oh God
8:54that's why sin is so dangerous.
8:58That's why we got to hate sin.
9:01It keeps us away from prayer. The the
9:06holy communion that God has established
9:08like nothing can break that
9:10relationship.
9:13Even right now, everybody sitting in
9:15here right now, you can say, "Thank you,
9:17Lord." And hears you. You can say, "I
9:20love you, Lord." And hears you.
9:24And the more we continue to cultivate
9:27that, the more we are in holy communion
9:29with that,
9:31the more he will reveal himself to us
9:34and the more we will trust him and be
9:37dependent on him. And there are times
9:40when there is just spiritual opposition.
9:45Yeah. Demonic forces is keeping you from
9:47praying.
9:52demonic forces is keeping you from
9:55praying. That's why it's so dangerous to
9:57play with sin.
9:59>> You we open the door for demonic forces
10:02to keep us out of the presence and out
10:05of the will of God.
10:08>> It's dangerous.
10:12>> It's dangerous.
10:17When we understand prayer goes beyond
10:19simply asking for things and it really
10:22is a two-way street for our communion
10:25and our relationship with him, we will
10:28start taking it more seriously
10:36and we ask ourselves what what happened
10:39to fracture this relationship.
10:45Genesis chapter 3 verse 8 through13 is
10:48what happened.

11:01Genesis chapter 3 verse 18 and 13. And
11:04they heard the sound of the Lord God
11:07walking in the garden in the cool of the
11:09day.
11:14And the man and his wife hid themselves
11:16from the presence of the Lord God among
11:18the trees of the garden. But the Lord
11:21God called to the man and said to him,
11:23"Where are you?" And he's saying that to
11:25us today.
11:29"Where are you?"
11:32And he said, "I heard the sound of you
11:35in the garden and I was afraid
11:38because I was naked and I hid myself."
11:40He said, "Who told you that you were
11:42naked?
11:45Have you eaten of the tree of which I
11:46command you not to eat from?" The man
11:48said, "The woman who you gave me,
11:52she gave me the fruit of the tree and I
11:54ate."
11:56And the Lord God said to the woman,
11:58"What is this that you have done?"
12:01The woman said, "The serpent deceived me
12:04and I ate
12:08>> this." Oh God, this monumental
12:14disaster
12:16>> is what fractured the relationship
12:20between man and God.
12:22>> That's right.
12:25Th
12:26>> this is why we have problems spraying
12:30the sin in our life. This is why
12:32everything is fractured. Like everything
12:34I just explained to you, this is why
12:36because of the fall of man.
12:39because of sin, we don't pray.
12:43And we don't pray. But but the
12:46communication line is always open.
12:49It's never blocked. It's always open.
12:53Always.
12:58No longer will God walk with us in the
13:00cool of the day.
13:02No longer will a holy God come down
13:05around sinful men.
13:10This is why it's hard to pray. This is
13:12why we are distracted when we pray. This
13:14is why everything that we try to try to
13:18do. Distractions, work, family, all this
13:23stuff piles up in our lives and it
13:25overtakes us and we we neglect to pray.
13:32What I want to do today is I I want to
13:34walk through
13:36Jesus's prayers.
13:41>> And actually, as I was uh looking
13:43through this, I didn't even realize how
13:45much Jesus prayed. I was like, "Good
13:48God, Jesus prays." No, let me We going
13:51to walk through it. [laughter]
13:54We going to walk through it. Uh we're
13:56going to walk through the uh Gospel of
13:57Luke
13:59starting in Luke 3 21.
14:08It's it's it's extraordinary. It's it's
14:10it's a man. I I wish I had the words,
14:13man. It's it's just such a beautiful
14:15thing uh to see the Lord Jesus Christ
14:19commune with his father.
14:23And
14:25as I was studying this, I was like, man,
14:28my prayer life got to get better.
14:31My prayer life got to get better. My
14:34communion with God got to get better.
14:38I thought I was doing good.
14:42No condemnation, but I did. I thought I
14:44was doing good till I started reading
14:45Jesus's prayers. I said, "God, help me.
14:50Help your elder do better than this. I
14:52want to commune like Jesus communes."
14:55This is the whole purpose why the Lord
14:57put this on my heart to share with you
14:59today.
15:01It's not a matter of condemnation. It's
15:03a matter of intimacy.
15:05Like
15:07if if you're lacking, listen family, if
15:10you're lacking intimacy with the Lord
15:12Jesus Christ, God Almighty,
15:16if you feel like you're lacking in
15:18intimacy, lock in.
15:23Luke 3 21 and 22. Now when all the
15:27people were baptizing,
15:34is that true?
15:36Yeah. Now when all the people were
15:37baptized and when Jesus also had been
15:40baptized and was praying, the heavens
15:44were open and the Holy Spirit descended
15:47on him in bodily form like a dove. And a
15:50voice came from heaven, you are my
15:53beloved son. with you I am well pleased.
15:58I didn't read this. I don't know how
16:00many times and I never saw that Jesus
16:02prayed
16:05in his baptism.
16:09And that should tell you and I
16:12[laughter]
16:12whenever we start any public ministry we
16:16should be praying and we should be
16:18getting affirmation.
16:23Ah, we should be praying first
16:27affirmation from God.
16:30God is calling me to do this.
16:34Then we get affirmation from our
16:36spiritual authority.
16:39>> Jesus had spiritual authority. This is
16:42my son whom I'm well pleased.
16:45>> He's saying go start your ministry.
16:52We cannot circumvent the system.
16:55God has established this system.
16:58He established it to cultivate your
17:00heart so you don't crush his sons and
17:02daughters in the process.
17:11>> I was talking to Elder this week about
17:13this and like those three years at
17:15Victory before I became an elder. I said
17:17without those three years of serving,
17:21putting up flags, uh being an usher,
17:24being a leader over the ushers, being an
17:26armor bearer, being a leader over the
17:28armor bearer, being a squad leader,
17:31being in a squad,
17:35>> serving, getting up 4:00 a.m. on
17:37logistics, set up and break down. If I
17:40would not have took this process, I
17:43would not be here today.
17:47Now I could have been here today but I
17:50would have damaged so many people.
17:55>> I I
17:58would have damaged so many people
18:00because I [clears throat] aborted the
18:02process and did it my way because I had
18:05gifts and talents
18:08>> is dangerous.
18:11Christ
18:15got affirmed.
18:22Prayer marks his dependency on the
18:24father. Even in his affirmation,
18:28even in his public ministry, he's still
18:31depending on the father. The Godhead,
18:34the Holy Trinity on earth at one time
18:38established him to do such a work as
18:42this.
18:45Luke 5 verse 16.
18:52Jesus
18:54withdrawing to pray alone,
18:59but he would withdraw to desolate places
19:03and pray
19:06if God in the flesh
19:09had to step away.
19:13Come on, man.
19:14If God in the flesh had to step away,
19:17how much more do we have to step away
19:22to a desolate place?
19:29To a desolate place.
19:33Like go somewhere private
19:37and be with God Almighty.
19:46We are missing out on so much
19:50of that great intimacy. Just like I was
19:52talking about my stepfather, like how
19:55much that grieved me. It should grieve
19:56us just even all the more that we miss
19:59out on the Lord God and what he has to
20:03say for us.
20:06We're frustrated. We're confused. We're
20:09distracted.
20:10We're angry, but we we have to spend
20:14time with him. It is a great communion.
20:19It is great intimacy. He will reveal
20:23himself to you.
20:25But we have to we have to follow the
20:28process on how Jesus did it.
20:33We have to stay in communion with him.
20:36We have to do it.
20:38It will benefit you. It will benefit
20:41God. It will benefit the ministry he has
20:44called for you to do. You cannot do
20:46ministry without the father.
20:56>> Jesus prioritized communion with the
20:58father over ministry.

21:13You did not rush Jesus when he went to
21:16be with the father. They used to ask
21:19where did Jesus go? They they I don't I
21:21don't know where he's at. And he would
21:23just show up.
21:26>> Why? Because now he is full of the
21:28father. Now he is full of wisdom. Now he
21:33is full of truth. Now he is full of
21:35revelation. NOW HE IS ready to go and do
21:39ministry.
21:42>> How much more you and I,
21:46us being sinful creatures, how much more
21:48should we be in the presence of the Holy
21:51One
21:53>> before we do any ministry?
21:58And I know you're a better person when
22:01you when you go in the presence of the
22:03Lord. You a better I I know my best days
22:06is when I when I really labor and spend
22:09time with the Lord. Those are my best
22:11days.
22:15>> Say that again. Would you say great? Say
22:17great sleep too.
22:23>> Prayer was not occasional for Jesus. It
22:26was his rhythm. Like prayer for Jesus
22:30was like air that we breathe.
22:35Prayer for Jesus was like the air that
22:39we breathe. He He's not going to do
22:41anything without communing with the
22:44father,
22:46being in his presence.
22:52Luke chapter 6
22:57verse 12- 16.
23:02Man, this blew me away.
23:06In these days he went out to the
23:10mountain to pray.
23:12Watch this. And all night he continued
23:15in prayer to God. And when day came, he
23:18called his disciples and chose from them
23:2112 whom he named apostles.
23:23Simon, whom he had named Peter, and
23:26Andrew his brother, and James, and John,
23:28and Philip, and Bartholomew, and
23:30Matthew, and Thomas, and James, the son
23:33of Ala,
23:35and Simon, who was called the Zealot,
23:37and Judas, the son of James, and Judas
23:40Escari, who became a traitor.
23:48When was the last time you prayed all
23:50night,
23:56major decisions,
23:59listen, God did tell you that
24:03major decisions should be soaked in
24:05prayer.
24:07>> You need to be ravenish about hearing
24:10from the Lord.
24:12You need to be like a a dog ON A BONE
24:14LIKE I GOT TO GET IT. I GOT TO GET YOU
24:16GOT TO GO AFTER IT. Jesus prayed all
24:19night before picking the disciples.
24:26Prayed all night picking the disciples.
24:32We have major decisions to make and we
24:35we won't labor in the presence of the
24:38Lord and we won't wait.
24:41We won't depend on him. We won't rely on
24:44him.
24:47Come on, y'all. Come on.
24:58>> Jesus did not choose leaders casually.
25:04Jesus did not let people be close to him
25:06casually.
25:08He's praying about everything.
25:11>> He did not let people be close to him
25:13casually.
25:15Father, is this person supposed to be in
25:17my life? Father, is these people
25:20supposed to be leaders? Father,
25:23father,
25:24father,
25:27>> he did nothing casually. It was always
25:31in prayer.
25:35us all the more we should be it I don't
25:40I all the more
25:43we should be we should be crying out for
25:45him all the more Lord show me tell me
25:48help me I need to know I I don't know
25:50what to do Lord show me tell me help me
25:56all the more
25:58and Christ is just this is the model
26:01Christ is setting for you and I to
26:04follow so that we can be successful in
26:06this life. He's not just doing this for
26:09himself.
26:18>> Even though he is the son of God,
26:21he still and always model dependencies
26:24on the father's will.
26:27Are our prayers lining up with the
26:29father's will?
26:31Are our prayers aligned with the
26:33father's will?
26:41Luke chapter 9 verse 16.
26:51Jesus prays before feeding the 5000.
26:57and taking the five loaves and the two
26:59fishes, he looked up to heaven and said
27:03a blessing over them. Then he broke the
27:06loaves and gave them to the disciples to
27:08set before the crowd.
27:14Jesus always acknowledged the father.
27:21Jesus always sees him as a provider.
27:24Jesus always sees him as the one who
27:27knows all things.
27:29Are we seeing God as the one who knows
27:32all things or do we know all things?
27:35Do we feel like we can control our lives
27:37and and control the path of our lives or
27:40do we trust the father? Are we dependent
27:42on him? Your prayer life shows if you're
27:45dependent on him.
27:47>> Trying to awaken you right now.
27:52No condemnation.
27:55But just like as I was reading this, it
27:57awakened me, man. I have to seek the
27:59father's face more.
28:12Before miracles, signs and wonders.
28:15Jesus prayed
28:21like breaking bread
28:24of fish and bread to feed 5,000 people.
28:31Father,
28:32I know you provide all things. I know
28:35you can do all things. Feed your sons
28:38and daughters.
28:47I know what it's just it's a it's a lack
28:50of trust in us.
28:54It's a lack of trust in us.
28:59But thank God for who he is.
29:03Thank God that he is a good father.
29:05Thank God that we really are little
29:07children.
29:10And as long as we stick our hand up to
29:12hold his hand, he will continue to lead
29:15and guide us. Thank God.

29:29verse 18 and 20.
29:36Now it happened that he was praying
29:38alone, who Jesus?
29:42The disciples were with him and he said
29:45asking them, "Who do the crowds say that
29:48I am?" And they answered, "John the
29:50Baptist, but others said Elijah and
29:53others that one of the prophets of old
29:56has risen." Then he said to them, "But
29:59who do you say that I am?" And Peter
30:02answered, "The Christ of God."
30:09Prayers will prepare for revelation.
30:16>> That's why we pray before every meeting.
30:18That's why we pray for every spiritual
30:21care. That's why we pray for everything.
30:23Because we need spiritual revelation
30:27from God,
30:30>> not my faulty wisdom.
30:33>> That's why we pray before these
30:35gatherings. We need revelation from God.
30:39Like right now, while the scriptures are
30:40being read, revelation from God is going
30:45to you, not me. I'm just the vessel
30:47talking. REVELATION FROM GOD AND THE
30:50HOLY SPIRIT. That's why we pray. THAT'S
30:53WHY WE SEEK HIS FACE. That's why we want
30:56his presence. THAT'S WHY WE RUN after
30:58him.
31:02I didn't even realize how much Jesus was
31:04praying.
31:14Chapter 9 verse 28 36.
31:19I mean just we in chapter nine. He done
31:22prayed three times.
31:24We ain't even out this chapter. He
31:26didn't.
31:29Now about 8 days after these saying, he
31:32took with him Peter and John and James
31:36and went up on the mountain to pray.
31:39And as he was praying,
31:42who? Jesus. And as he was praying,
31:47the appearance of his face was altered,
31:50and his clothes became dazzling white.
31:53And behold, [clears throat]
31:55two men were talking with him, Moses and
31:57Elijah, who appeared in glory, and spoke
32:00of his departure. Wow.
32:07They came and spoke about the cross and
32:10the resurrection
32:12and his ascent. his ascension
32:18who appeared in glory and spoke of his
32:21departure which he has he was about to
32:24accomplish at Jerusalem. Now Peter and
32:27those who were with him were heavy with
32:29sleep.
32:32[sighs and gasps]
32:36I'm I'm guilty.
32:41The man of God I text you 4 in the
32:42morning. You better be ready.

32:47morning, call you 3 in the morning.
32:50Elder, are you praying? No sir, I'm not.

33:01Our lead pastor is serious about seeking
33:04the Lord's face
33:09>> because he knows the value. It's it's so
33:12valuable the communion with the Lord thy
33:15God. It is so valuable.
33:19like we missing out on so much
33:23because we won't lay before him
33:27and we won't even trust that he will do
33:29it
33:31like we like like come on we gota we got
33:34to depend Jesus is depending on the
33:38father
33:40I gotta go
33:42we got a lot to walk through
33:44[clears throat] uh now Peter and those
33:46who were with him were heavy with sleep
33:48but when They became fully awake. They
33:52saw his glory and the two men who stood
33:55with him.
33:57And as the men were parting from him,
34:00Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it it is
34:03good that we we are here. Let us make
34:06three tents, one for you and one for
34:10Moses and one for Elijah." Not knowing
34:13what he said. As he was saying these
34:16things, a cloud came and overshadowed
34:19them. And they were afraid as they
34:22entered the cloud. And a voice came out
34:24of the cloud saying, "This is my son, my
34:28chosen one. Listen to him."
34:32And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was
34:35found alone. And they kept silent and
34:39told no one in those days anything
34:42of what they have seen.
34:49>> [clears throat]
34:50>> Prayer is connected to revelations of
34:52Christ's glory.
34:56Like you you will fall more in love,
34:59more in awe, more in wonder
35:04the more you spend time in holy
35:06communion with him.
35:08The more you pray.
35:11Prayer is prayer is just not just you
35:14doing all the talking.
35:18It's you talk and the Lord talks back to
35:21your soul.
35:23Sometimes I I'll sit there and and just
35:26hug my Bible.
35:30And I I'll be like, "Lord, I I I just
35:32want to be close to you.
35:35I just want to feel your presence.
35:39My soul is at ease. I just need rest.
35:44And I'll just sit there and and majority
35:47of the time he'll just send me to a
35:48scripture and I'll go to that scripture.
35:51I'll read that scripture and then it's
35:52like it's like a light bulb will go off
35:56>> and then and then stuff will just start
35:58flowing out of me. Lord, I pray for the
36:01nations. Lord, I pray for our persecuted
36:03church. Lord, I pray God that you will
36:06help the people in Pakistan. Will you
36:08help these people that are dealing with
36:09natural disasters, floods, and
36:11earthquakes, God, it it'll just start
36:14flowing out of you.
36:25Luke chapter 10 verse 21.
36:3621 and 22.
36:39In the same hour,
36:42he rejoiced. Jesus rejoiced in the Holy
36:45Spirit and said, "I thank you, Father,
36:48Lord of heaven and earth, that you have
36:50hidden these things from the wise and
36:53understanding and revealed them to
36:55little children.
36:57Yes, Father, for such was your gracious
36:59will. All things have been handed over
37:02to me by my father and no one knows who
37:06the son is except the father or who the
37:09father is except the son. That's just
37:12how much they are been in communion. You
37:15cannot tell the difference between the
37:17father and the son.
37:22All an example for you and I. We are
37:26more conformed in his presence
37:30to whom the
37:32uh to whom the son chooses to no I'm
37:36skipping father and no one knows who the
37:39son is except the father or who the
37:40father is except the son and anyone to
37:43whom the son chooses to reveal him.
37:48Jesus thanked the father for revealing
37:52revelation to little children.
37:59>> It's going to be No, it's not going to
38:02be. He will not reveal it to proud and
38:05the self-sufficient.
38:08How can he reveal revelation knowledge
38:10to you when you already think you know
38:12it all?
38:15when you're already using your gifts and
38:17talents out of his will.
38:22How do you think God is going to talk to
38:25you if you're out of the will of how
38:29Jesus started his earthly ministry? How
38:32Jesus did his things lined up with the
38:34father? How Jesus prayed? How Jesus even
38:38had joy that the father's plan is much

39:55prayer begins with relationship with
39:56God. Father,
39:59who we praying to? The Father.
40:02Hallowed be your name. Your name is
40:04holy.
40:07Your kingdom come. We pray for God's
40:10rule and reign be on the earth as it is
40:12in heaven. Give us each day our daily
40:15bread. We depend on God for everything.
40:19Everything.
40:21And forgive us of our sins. We
40:23continually need mercy and forgiveness.

40:36For we ourselves forgive everyone who is
40:39indebted to us. Forgive people that have
40:42sinned against us. Pray, man. God, help

40:49against you
40:55and lead us not into temptation.

41:01spiritual protection from demonic
41:04forces.
41:09We ask God to protect us even from our
41:12own sin. Protect us from demonic

46:54Peter's restoration was connected to
46:58Jesus prayer.

51:36become perfectly one so that the world

56:53cup of suffering.
56:55So we we cannot say, "Oh, well, Jesus
56:59had it easy."
57:04Paul said that what we go through are
57:06light afflictions compared to what
57:08Christ had to go through.
57:10>> And if Christ prayed with agony and
57:14earnestly, SO MUCH SO THAT HE WAS
57:17SWEATING BLOOD,
57:20how much more?
57:22How much more
57:25Jesus models honest prayers and perfect
57:29submission.
57:35Nevertheless, like I don't want to do

57:39If there be any other way,
57:43show me now cuz it's getting close
57:47and I don't want to do this. I don't
57:50want a cat of nine tails whipping on my
57:53back,
57:55ripping flesh off to expose my muscle
57:57and bone. I don't want to be spat upon.

58:04thorns pushing through my skull,

58:20So, we have to start seeing our pain and
58:23suffering and our agony as light
58:25afflictions compared to the cross.
58:31True prayers bring out desires under the
58:34father's will. Nevertheless,
58:38Lord, I I I see this circumstance. I
58:41know I have to go through this.
58:44If there be any other way, but
58:46nevertheless,
58:48then you have to remember Christ is
58:51praying for me. [clears throat]
58:54Christ has prayed for me before this
58:57circumstance even came to play. Christ
59:00has prayed for me. Prayed that my faith
59:02will not fail. Prayed that I will come
59:04closer to him. Pray that he will
59:06strengthen me. We have to believe this.

1:02:13"Forgive them for they know not what

1:02:37surrender.

1:02:49The more we pray, the more confidence we
1:02:51gain
1:02:53to be faithful to the end.
1:02:59Jesus died trusting the father.

1:03:07divine plan was for you and I to be in

1:05:05eyes were open and they recognized him
1:05:08and he vanished from their sight.

1:05:17I probably would have tried to grab him,
1:05:19man. He would HAVE BEEN GONE. THAT'S

1:06:18man. I I couldn't imagine cuz they were
1:06:20walking on the road of Mayus and they
1:06:22they talking about what happened. Uh uh
1:06:24Jesus got crucified and and they
1:06:26couldn't find his body and Jesus walking

1:06:32and they still don't recognize him. I

1:07:12soul revelation knowledge
1:07:17and and when Jesus recognized that they
1:07:20recognized him just vanished.

1:07:32resurrection power. like like one minute
1:07:35he there, one minute he's gone. Thomas
1:07:38was uh was talking about well well I
1:07:41ain't going to believe until I get to
1:07:43put my hand in his side and see the

1:07:47and and Jesus just appeared.

1:08:02jump ship.

1:09:33and were continually in the temple
1:09:36blessing God.
1:09:39Jesus leaves his disciples under
1:09:41blessing and not abandonment. His
1:09:44ascension
1:09:46confirms his exaltation,
1:09:49his triumph, his death,
1:09:54his his his burial, his resurrection,
1:09:57his triumph over everything and and
1:09:59being in his heaven, heavenly majesty,
1:10:03him sitting on high,
1:10:06the disciples respond with worship and
1:10:09joy. That's why we always try to
1:10:11encourage you to come in here and
1:10:12worship the risen savior because he is
1:10:15sitting on the throne and he is going to
1:10:18return.
1:10:23And
1:10:25Romans 8:34, Romans chapter 8:34 is not
1:10:28going to come on the screen. Not going
1:10:30to read it. I'm just giving it to you.
1:10:32Hebrews 7:2
1:10:35and 1 John 2:1 explains how Jesus is
1:10:39still interceding [music] for his
1:10:41believers.
1:10:44He is still advocating as a high priest
1:10:47before the father.
1:10:50Like so if you have nobody praying for
1:10:52you,
1:10:54know that the Lord Jesus Christ is
1:10:56praying for you.
1:10:59believers should be secure in their
1:11:01souls that they are being represented at
1:11:04all times to the father.
1:11:08And because of that,
1:11:10because of all that we just walked
1:11:12through, we have access to him.
1:11:15We have access that nobody can destroy
1:11:18and that Jesus has established and
1:11:20opened up that we can pray.
1:11:24We can pray. We can pray. We can pray.
1:11:28We can pray.
1:11:30Jesus prayers show us that prayer is not
1:11:33just asking God for things.
1:11:36Prayer is holy communion with the
1:11:38father.
1:11:40>> Surrender to his will,
1:11:42dependence on his strength,
1:11:45interceding for others, and desire for
1:11:48God's glory. Ask to see God's glory.
1:11:52Jesus prayed in private. He prayed in
1:11:55public. He prayed before major
1:11:57decisions. He prayed before miracles. He
1:12:01prayed during suffering.
1:12:03He prayed on the cross. And he prayed
1:12:07even in his ascension.
1:12:09And he's praying in heaven.

1:14:42EVERYONE AROUND THE WORLD,
1:14:44>> WE'RE GOING TO GATHER TOGETHER AND PRAY

1:14:50>> DO A radical work in your people, God,
1:14:55may they pray more earnestly, God,
1:14:59not for just things, but to be in your
