1. 0:00What's up, guys? Welcome to another
2. 0:02video. In this video, we're going to
3. 0:03talk about driver pay. I'm guessing if
4. 0:06you found your way to this video, you're
5. 0:07either interested in joining Nova Lines
6. 0:09or you want to know what the pay is like
7. 0:11as a lease lease purchase operator. Um
8. 0:14keep in mind the rates are um they have
9. 0:16been pretty decent lately
10. 0:19um here in the middle of 2026 going into
11. 0:21the end. Um I do expect it to go rates
12. 0:25to go a little bit down um as we
13. 0:27approach the wintertime, but as of right
14. 0:30now
15. 0:31um I'm just going to give you um my past
16. 0:33week's runs, what I made on them, and
17. 0:38how much my take home was this past
18. 0:40Friday.
19. 0:42So, if you guys give me a second while I
20. 0:44pull this up.
21. 0:46I'm also going to put everything on the
22. 0:47screen, too, for you guys to see
23. 0:49um
24. 0:51see everything I'm talking about.
25. 0:58All right, guys. So, first load we
26. 1:00picked up in Mount Vernon, Indiana, and
27. 1:03we took it all the way to San Antonio,
28. 1:04Texas. That was 945
29. 1:08miles. That paid us $4,000.
30. 1:12Um so, our take home for that was about
31. 1:15$3,200.
32. 1:17Um second run from Sinton, Texas, to
33. 1:19Montrose, Missouri. That load there was
34. 1:22about 823 miles, paid us $3,000.
35. 1:27Um 80% of that $2,400, so that's what we
36. 1:30took home for that. Um and then the
37. 1:33final load, Jefferson City, Missouri
38. 1:36um to Chesapeake, Virginia. That was um
39. 1:411,030 miles, paid $3,600.
40. 1:45Um so
41. 1:48that load there paid us 2880 after the
42. 1:51company takes their cut. Um as far as
43. 1:55deductions
44. 1:57we had a total of
45. 1:59let's see, in fuel we had $2,250 in the
46. 2:03fuel. As you guys know, fuel is on the
47. 2:06rise. It is It has been crazy these last
48. 2:09couple weeks and it just it just keeps
49. 2:11getting worse and worse.
50. 2:13Um hopefully we can get some lower fuel
51. 2:15fuel prices um
52. 2:18in the near future. Um but
53. 2:21uh $2,250
54. 2:23in fuel
55. 2:24and we had $2,088
56. 2:27in our standard weekly deductions.
57. 2:30That's to cover our tolls. We had $47 in
58. 2:32tolls. Um our truck payment $750,
59. 2:35trailer payment is $350.
60. 2:38Um company deposit is 200. Um what that
61. 2:42is here at Novalines is um we have a
62. 2:45$10,000 company deposit. Um that's to
63. 2:47cover any accidents that happen to the
64. 2:50load or as what they tell us it's for.
65. 2:53Um so I guess it's just like a security
66. 2:55deposit the company requires.
67. 2:57Um it caps at 10,000. They take $200 out
68. 3:00every check. Um
69. 3:02this check here put me at $8,200
70. 3:05in my company deposit, so I'm almost
71. 3:07done with that. Um and also by the way,
72. 3:10you get that company deposit back
73. 3:11assuming you don't damage any freight or
74. 3:14anything of that nature.
75. 3:16Um
76. 3:17but um we also had base plates,
77. 3:19pre-pass, occupational insurance,
78. 3:22um
79. 3:23$300 for a maintenance and repair
80. 3:25account. Uh every week we get $300 taken
81. 3:28out of our checks, goes into a
82. 3:29maintenance account. That's to cover
83. 3:30anything maintenance related for the
84. 3:32truck or the trailer.
85. 3:35Um
86. 3:36heavy highway use tax, physical damage
87. 3:38insurance,
88. 3:40public liability insurance, ifta EOD,
89. 3:42and our event recorder. All of that
90. 3:44totaled out $2,088.
91. 3:47Um so if you take our
92. 3:49gross pay, which was 8480.
93. 3:54Um and you subtract total deductions
94. 3:564,339
95. 3:59dollars 11 cents. We got us a net pay on
96. 4:02Friday 4,140
97. 4:06dollars and 89 cents.
98. 4:08So, for the guys that are saying you
99. 4:09can't make money doing lease purchase,
100. 4:11they're lying to you.
101. 4:14Lease purchase is not for everybody. Um
102. 4:16you got to stay out if you want to make
103. 4:18money here.
104. 4:19Um but that's just this week.
105. 4:23I'll be happy to go over next week's as
106. 4:25well with you guys. Uh plan to do this
107. 4:28weekly. Um so you guys can see what it's
108. 4:30like
109. 4:32um
110. 4:33here doing lease purchase, what kind of
111. 4:34money you can make.
112. 4:36Um but anyways, yeah, that was for a
113. 4:37total of 2796
114. 4:39miles. So, 4100 dollars for that, I
115. 4:42don't I don't think that that's bad. Um
