31. 0:54channel for some time might remember a
32. 0:55video we produced several months ago a
33. 0:58very popular video covering the
34. 0:59autonomous trucking
35. 1:01as well as the effects that this would
36. 1:03have on the trucking industry moving
37. 1:04forward
38. 1:05if you haven't seen that video i'll
39. 1:06leave a little card up here in the

41. 1:09really good context about what this
42. 1:11video is going to be
43. 1:12about today now we must go back about
44. 1:14four and a half years to december of
45. 1:162016
46. 1:17where i was very lucky to be invited to
47. 1:18the global unveiling event
48. 1:20of the nikola one hydrogen hydrogen
49. 1:22electric
50. 1:23uh prototype truck that they were
51. 1:25presenting to the world to see for the
52. 1:26very first time here in salt lake city
53. 1:28this was a major event with some of the
54. 1:30brightest minds in the industry
55. 1:32some of the biggest names have flew in
56. 1:33from all over the world
57. 1:35news coverage from every corner the utah
58. 1:38governor
59. 1:38had actually attended the event and made
60. 1:40a brief speech i got to meet
61. 1:42trevor milton himself shake his hand
62. 1:44have a quick conversation as well as
63. 1:46take some photos we even got to get
64. 1:48inside the truck itself and make some
65. 1:50exclusive video content
66. 1:51it's a two minute video i'll leave a
67. 1:52little card up here for you to watch

71. 1:58that you know the condo
72. 2:00the cabin the cockpit all the
73. 2:02electronics and everything inside the
74. 2:03truck
75. 2:04very very quickly definitely don't miss
76. 2:06that video but we move forward four and
77. 2:08a half years
78. 2:09and mr trevor milton is being indicted
79. 2:11and charged with
80. 2:13uh misleading investors you know the
81. 2:15indictment was actually unsealed
82. 2:17today july 29 2021 in the manhattan
83. 2:20federal courts in new york city
84. 2:22with false claims about the vehicles and
85. 2:25uh
86. 2:26duping of investors now mr milton was
87. 2:29charged with
88. 2:30two counts of securities fraud and one
89. 2:32count of wire fraud
90. 2:34uh two very major uh allegations
91. 2:37against the person now he is out on bail
92. 2:40at a 100 million dollar
93. 2:41bail funded by his personal properties
94. 2:44yet the manhattan
95. 2:45u.s attorney audrey strauss actually
96. 2:47said that mr milne repeatedly
97. 2:49use social media appearances interviews
98. 2:52on television
99. 2:53podcasts and print to make false and
100. 2:56misleading
101. 2:57claims about the status of the trucks
102. 2:59and the technologies they were
103. 3:00presenting
104. 3:01now there is video out there mr uh
105. 3:03trevor milton
106. 3:04actually claiming that they have fully
107. 3:06functioning nikola one prototypes
108. 3:08which could not be further from the
109. 3:10truth i've seen the trucks myself they
110. 3:11were inoperable
111. 3:13they were missing gears they were
112. 3:14missing motors and
113. 3:16the truck uh was not one that you could
114. 3:19drive down the road in fact they have
115. 3:20videos of the truck driving down the
116. 3:22road but it's
117. 3:22later turned out to be they was actually
118. 3:24rolling down a hill
119. 3:25and that's how they got that footage
120. 3:27furthermore they have footage of the
121. 3:29vehicle actually driving
122. 3:31but and although it said on the side of
123. 3:32the truck they had a stencil saying that
124. 3:34it's a
125. 3:35hydrogen electric vehicle the truck was
126. 3:37actually operated using
127. 3:38uh natural gas they had multiple
128. 3:41different uh
129. 3:42kind of uh gaffs out there with hydrogen
130. 3:45electric vehicle
131. 3:46uh being presented as something that it
132. 3:48is not they had
133. 3:49issues with the badger pickup truck
134. 3:52which i'll leave
135. 3:53photos of that and along with some of
136. 3:56the other photos from the event
137. 3:57that was you know definitely a site to
138. 3:59be seen they also talked about hydrogen
139. 4:02being produced by nicola
140. 4:04at reduced costs well the truth is that
141. 4:06they weren't producing any sort of
142. 4:07hydrogen
143. 4:08any cost whatsoever they talked about
144. 4:10producing batteries and other
145. 4:12parts and components of the truck yet
146. 4:14they were purchasing them from
147. 4:15third-party vendors
148. 4:17furthermore they did the biggest no-no
149. 4:20in the
150. 4:20accounting world in the business world
151. 4:22where they actually counted 100
152. 4:24counsable pre-orders as part of revenue
153. 4:26a very very big
154. 4:28no-no in the securities and exchange
155. 4:30commission as well as the doj
156. 4:32a big no now mr milton actually has no
157. 4:36formal background in engineering
158. 4:37and the the stock was actually worth
159. 4:39that 1.8 and a half billion dollars
160. 4:41which blew out uh
161. 4:43blew out of the water some of the
162. 4:44biggest names in the automotive industry
163. 4:46and uh currently the stock is plummeted
164. 4:48to uh right around
165. 4:5012 a share i was actually offered the
166. 4:52stock at
167. 4:53pre-ipo pricing which would have been
168. 4:56such a wonderful thing i did not take
169. 4:58advantage of it but it turned out to be
170. 4:59a great thing that i didn't buy any
171. 5:01shares because now i would have lost
172. 5:03all a ton a ton of money now i'd love to
173. 5:06hear your thoughts about this
174. 5:07and where this case is going to go where
175. 5:10future cases like this are going to go
176. 5:12where autonomous trucking is going to go
177. 5:13and how this is going to affect the
178. 5:15industry
179. 5:15moving forward what your thoughts about

198. 5:46has a very light load four thousand
199. 5:48pound uh load of home goods and
200. 5:50furniture
201. 5:51290 miles short run sixteen hundred and
202. 5:54fifty dollars booked
203. 5:56got them five sixty nine per mile they
204. 5:58finished off with grove town georgia
205. 6:00when a one pick three dropper
206. 6:02drops in mooresville indiana maneer
207. 6:04illinois
208. 6:05and galesburg illinois this guy this is
209. 6:07a 14 000 pound load of tractor parts 860
210. 6:10miles booked at 3 000
211. 6:12even got them 349 per mile they finished
212. 6:15off
213. 6:15really strong running friday to friday
214. 6:17ended up grossing
215. 6:18thousand eight hundred and fifty dollars
216. 6:21booked at 395 per loaded mile on their 3
217. 6:24000 miles
218. 6:25i mean very well done almost twelve
219. 6:27thousand dollars in a dry van running
220. 6:28just three loads in a week

300. 9:23mile guys uh interesting thing is i ran
301. 9:26uh their their weight
302. 9:27and the average weight that they had was
303. 9:29just over 24 000 pounds on the weight so
304. 9:32the excellent very light load on this
305. 9:34drive end well done
306. 9:35next we have us uh uh reefer coming out
307. 9:38of erie pennsylvania
308. 9:40going to seymour indiana 40 000 pound
309. 9:42load refrigerated food products it was a
310. 9:44drop at walmart 440 miles
311. 9:46booked at 1200 got him 273 a mile then
312. 9:50trotwood ohio to charlotte north

314. 9:52this is a four uh 35 000 pound load
315. 9:56of afraid of all kinds running 20
316. 9:58degrees on a reefer 465 miles booked at
317. 10:002 400
318. 10:02got him 16 per mile then bessemer city
319. 10:05north carolina to perryville maryland 20
320. 10:07000 pound load of food 500 miles even
321. 10:10running at 2100
322. 10:11got them 420 per mile then uh they got
323. 10:14another one out of parkersburg
324. 10:16pennsylvania with a one pick three
325. 10:18dropper to new berlin wisconsin
326. 10:21woodbury minnesota and a final in rush
327. 10:23city minnesota 40 000 pound load of beer
328. 10:26that's 1185 miles booked at 3 300
329. 10:29got them 278 per mile and they finished
330. 10:32off with st
331. 10:33michael minnesota to romeoville illinois

334. 10:42per mile and these guys did a wonderful
335. 10:44job running
336. 10:45running ten thousand four hundred

338. 10:49days finished off at home very
339. 10:50convenient they ran 3034 miles

354. 11:22and i finished off with linden utah to
355. 11:24centralia washington
356. 11:2642 000 pound load of bag minerals this
357. 11:29is 882 miles booked at 2862 dollars and
358. 11:33two cents
359. 11:34got um 324 per mile
360. 11:37uh on that one ended up running thursday
361. 11:39to friday
362. 11:40uh ended up grossing uh ten thousand
363. 11:43eight hundred sixty two dollars and two
364. 11:45cents
365. 11:45on their thirty five hundred thirty
366. 11:47eight miles uh booked at 307 per loaded
367. 11:50mile
368. 11:50and uh they only had 48 dead head miles
369. 11:54in total
370. 11:54and two very very light loads at six
371. 11:57thousand and fourteen thousand pounds so
372. 11:59excellent run and uh they only ran
373. 12:01thursday to friday so didn't even finish
374. 12:03off a week and made almost eleven
375. 12:04thousand dollars
376. 12:05and a great average and guys like i
377. 12:08always tell you every week
378. 12:09if you're not making this kind of money
