  1. 0:00You probably know if your business is
  2. 0:01not showing up consistently at the top
  3. 0:03of the Google map section, you are
  4. 0:05basically invisible because people, they
  5. 0:07don't scroll. Those top three spots get
  6. 0:1060 to 70% of clicks. So, how do you get
  7. 0:12there? I'm glad you asked. I'm doing
  8. 0:14this video because I've been doing this
  9. 0:15for years. And these so-called SEO
  10. 0:17experts, they make this stuff seem so
  11. 0:19complicated and over your head, you end
  12. 0:21up just saying, "Forget it. How much do
  13. 0:22I have to pay you to do this for me?"
  14. 0:24But you don't have to do that. You
  15. 0:25absolutely can do this yourself. And in
  16. 0:27this video, I'm going to show you how.
  17. 0:29I'm going to show you the seven SEO
  18. 0:30tricks and tips to get your Google
  19. 0:32business profile to the top three. And
  20. 0:34if you stick around, the last one is the
  21. 0:36one that can push you to number one.
  22. 0:38Most businesses don't take the time to
  23. 0:40do exactly what I'm about to show you,
  24. 0:41and that's exactly why this works. You
  25. 0:43guys ready to get into it? Let's go. Hey
  26. 0:46guys, interruption. There's been a huge
  27. 0:48update that just came out with Google
  28. 0:49Maps, and it came out after I recorded
  29. 0:51this video. So, I had to go ahead and
  30. 0:53put this in this video because this is
  31. 0:55huge, and it's going to change the game
  32. 0:56for you guys. So, Google is no longer
  33. 0:58just matching keywords like pizza near
  34. 1:01me or gym in Dallas. Those still do
  35. 1:03matter, but listen up. It's now
  36. 1:05interpreting spoken questions from
  37. 1:07people who are driving and ready to buy.
  38. 1:09So, here's the difference. The old way,
  39. 1:11Google looked for exact phrases. So, if
  40. 1:13your profile said pizza restaurant and
  41. 1:15someone searched pizza, you showed up.
  42. 1:17The new way, someone says, "Find me a
  43. 1:20pizza place that's open late and has
  44. 1:21gluten-free options." Google now has to
  45. 1:24understand whether your business
  46. 1:26actually fits that request, not guess.
  47. 1:28They need to confirm. If your profile
  48. 1:30just says familyowned pizza restaurant
  49. 1:32serving the downtown area, Google can't
  50. 1:34tell if you're open late or if you have
  51. 1:36a gluten-free option, so you don't get
  52. 1:38recommended. But if your profile says,
  53. 1:41"We serve wood fired pizza offer
  54. 1:43gluten-free options, and stay open until
  55. 1:4511:00 p.m. on weekends." Google
  56. 1:47understands the meaning behind the
  57. 1:49question and can confidently recommend
  58. 1:51you. So, use this as your advantage and
  59. 1:54outrank your competitors. I guarantee
  60. 1:56you that most of them don't even know
  61. 1:57about this. So, what I'm going to do,
  62. 1:58I'm going to put a prompt in the guide
  63. 2:00to show you exactly what to say for your
  64. 2:02business description with this new
  65. 2:03update. [music] All right, back to the
  66. 2:05awesome video. All right, so number
  67. 2:06seven, your business name. Now, this
  68. 2:09does not apply to everyone, and that's
  69. 2:11important to know, but when it applies,
  70. 2:12it carries way more weight than most
  71. 2:14people realize. Google's job is simple.
  72. 2:17Match the search intent to the clearest
  73. 2:19possible business. The less guessing
  74. 2:21Google has to do, the better your
  75. 2:23chances of showing up. So, if your legal
  76. 2:25business name already includes your
  77. 2:26primary service that you provide, that's
  78. 2:28great. That helps with clarity. For
  79. 2:30example, when I look up roofers in Las
  80. 2:32Vegas, this one company is on page two.
  81. 2:35Their business is called A Step Above.
  82. 2:37It's a cute name, but the odds of them
  83. 2:39ever rank in the top three for roofers
  84. 2:41near me are very slim because all of
  85. 2:43their competitors use roofing in their
  86. 2:45name. There's no guessing about what
  87. 2:47they do. A step above? Yeah, you don't
  88. 2:50really know what that means. It's not
  89. 2:51very clear. And clarity matters more
  90. 2:53than creativity. So, do you change your
  91. 2:56business name if your primary service is
  92. 2:57not in your name? Maybe. Maybe you
  93. 2:59should really think about this because
  94. 3:00if Google search is going to be a big
  95. 3:02driver to your business, it's really
  96. 3:04something to consider. Do you have to do
  97. 3:06it? No. But if you do change it, you
  98. 3:08have to take proper actions and make
  99. 3:09sure your legal business name is changed
  100. 3:11with your DBA and across the web and all
  101. 3:13other platforms. It needs to be
  102. 3:15consistent throughout the web. You
  103. 3:16cannot just go ahead and add your
  104. 3:17primary keyword to your business name
  105. 3:19[music] because that can get you
  106. 3:20suspended. But if your legal name
  107. 3:21already includes your core service and
  108. 3:22your competitors are just vague, so that
  109. 3:24gives you a leg up. So that's [music]
  110. 3:25the first SEO trick. Number six is
  111. 3:27categories. Your primary category is one
  112. 3:30of the strongest ranking signals on your
  113. 3:32entire Google business profile. Most
  114. 3:34businesses pick this once and never
  115. 3:36revisit it and just assume that it
  116. 3:37doesn't matter. But that's a mistake.
  117. 3:39Your primary category should match your
  118. 3:41core service, like the main reason
  119. 3:43someone would look for you. Now, I use
  120. 3:44this tool called GMBB Everywhere, and I
  121. 3:46have no affiliation to it, but it
  122. 3:47[music] works, and it's free for how
  123. 3:49many times you actually use it. So, you
  124. 3:50click on the competitor, and it tells
  125. 3:52you their primary category that they
  126. 3:53have on Google, and it tells you all the
  127. 3:55secondary categories that they have as
  128. 3:57well. I recommend taking that
  129. 3:58information [music] and using it. You
  130. 4:00want to have at least three to five
  131. 4:01subcategories in your Google business
  132. 4:03profile, but make sure they're only
  133. 4:05relevant to what you offer. Don't just
  134. 4:06add stuff if you don't offer it. But
  135. 4:08please, please, please listen to this
  136. 4:10part. Watch this video, but do not
  137. 4:12change everything at once. Google
  138. 4:15monitors behavior patterns and sudden
  139. 4:17changes across the board looks
  140. 4:18unnatural, especially on older profiles.
  141. 4:20So, you have to make changes
  142. 4:21intentionally. Just one or two updates
  143. 4:23at a time, then give it a few days, then
  144. 4:25go ahead and update again because that
  145. 4:27can get your account suspended. So,
  146. 4:28please don't do all this at once.
  147. 4:30Categories tell Google when to show you.
  148. 4:32If you don't tell Google what you do, it
  149. 4:34won't assume and you're going to miss
  150. 4:35opportunities without even realizing it.
  151. 4:37Use the GMBB everywhere to do the same
  152. 4:38thing for services. Use this tool to see
  153. 4:40what services your competitors are using
  154. 4:42and use those and take advantage of it.
  155. 4:44Add 20 to 30 services that you actually
  156. 4:47provide and make sure you have that on
  157. 4:48your Google business profile. Number
  158. 4:50five, fully build out your Google
  159. 4:52business profile. An incomplete profile
  160. 4:54is a weak profile. Every empty field is
  161. 4:56a missed signal. Every vague section
  162. 4:58forces Google to just guess. So, make
  163. 5:00sure when you're including your business
  164. 5:02description, you are including your
  165. 5:04relevant keywords. Don't stuff your
  166. 5:06keywords. Make it look natural. The
  167. 5:08businesses that consistently rank treat
  168. 5:10their Google business profile like a
  169. 5:12landing page, not a directory listing
  170. 5:13that you never go back to. If two
  171. 5:15businesses are equal in every other way,
  172. 5:18the one that gives Google clearer
  173. 5:19information usually wins. Number four,
  174. 5:22consistent activity signals. So, Google
  175. 5:25does not like dormant businesses.
  176. 5:26Profiles that sit on touch tend to slide
  177. 5:29over time, but profiles that show
  178. 5:31consistent activity tend to stick. So,
  179. 5:33posting once a week is enough. Now, this
  180. 5:35is not social media. You are not trying
  181. 5:37to entertain. You are just signaling
  182. 5:39that your business is active and
  183. 5:41operating. And updates can be simple.
  184. 5:43They just need to exist. The key here is
  185. 5:45consistency, not creativity. [music]
  186. 5:48What I do is batch my posts, schedule
  187. 5:50them, remove the thinking from the
  188. 5:52process. I have a scheduleuler that I
  189. 5:54use that I'll put in the description.
  190. 5:55It's paid, but it's worth it because it
  191. 5:57automates everything for me, so I don't
  192. 5:58have to think about it. And I'll show
  193. 6:00you the prompt that gives me 52 content
  194. 6:02ideas to post. So, I can take a day,
  195. 6:04fill that bad boy up, and I'm done for
  196. 6:05the entire year. I highly recommend it.
  197. 6:07Number three, proximity and legitimate
  198. 6:10location signals. [music] So, proximity
  199. 6:12is one of the biggest ranking factors in
  200. 6:14local search. That part is not
  201. 6:16negotiable. Google wants to show
  202. 6:18businesses that are physically close to
  203. 6:20[music] the person searching. However,
  204. 6:22this only applies to legitimate staff
  205. 6:24locations. So, if you wanted to like use
  206. 6:26virtual offices or co-working spaces
  207. 6:28that are not staffed during business
  208. 6:30hours, that can violate Google's
  209. 6:32guidelines and lead to suspensions. Now,
  210. 6:34this [music] is not something to
  211. 6:35shortcut. If you have a real physical
  212. 6:37location where customers or staff are
  213. 6:39present during stated business [music]
  214. 6:40hours, then that strengthens your
  215. 6:42proximity signal. If you operate as a
  216. 6:44service area [music] business, your
  217. 6:45service area settings and consistency
  218. 6:47across your profile, they matter more
  219. 6:49than just trying to force an address.
  220. 6:51So, the takeaway here is to not
  221. 6:53manipulate location. is just to be
  222. 6:55accurate and compliant. Google is really
  223. 6:57aggressive about location abuse and
  224. 6:59suspensions are not worth it. Number
  225. 7:00two, photos, videos, and local proof.
  226. 7:04So, photos and videos, they don't rank
  227. 7:05you on their own, but they reinforce
  228. 7:07credibility and engagement. And those
  229. 7:09things, they do matter. When you upload
  230. 7:12photos regularly, especially from a real
  231. 7:14job site or your actual business
  232. 7:16location, you're showing Google and
  233. 7:18customers that you are active and local.
  234. 7:20And this is what they call geo tagging,
  235. 7:22and it really helps. So, I recommend
  236. 7:24uploading three to five images a month
  237. 7:26to prove local activity. So, reminders
  238. 7:28are a goal for something like this.
  239. 7:29[music] So, just put some on your
  240. 7:30calendar. Now, the bonus one is your
  241. 7:32website. This reinforces your Google
  242. 7:34business profile. [music] It does not
  243. 7:35replace it, but your name, address, and
  244. 7:38phone number must match exactly across
  245. 7:41your website and your profile. Your
  246. 7:43services should also be aligned, and an
  247. 7:45embedded Google map should be on your
  248. 7:47website. And if you have a website and
  249. 7:49you're getting good traffic to your
  250. 7:50website and you don't have one of these
  251. 7:52on your site, a talking widget to help
  252. 7:54bring in leads, I want you guys to book
  253. 7:56a free 15-minute call with me because
  254. 7:58I'm going to show you how you can easily
  255. 8:00implement this in your business and show
  256. 8:01you how you are missing out on leads. If
  257. 8:03you don't have something like this,
  258. 8:04you're like leaving money on the table.
  259. 8:05Now, this is only for those who are
  260. 8:07getting good, consistent traffic to
  261. 8:08their website. This is not for everyone,
  262. 8:10but I'll put my link in the description
  263. 8:11below. All right, here we are. Number
  264. 8:13one, reviews and review momentum.
  265. 8:16Reviews matter more than most people
  266. 8:17think because they influence both human
  267. 8:20and algorithms. If you see three
  268. 8:22businesses and one has significantly
  269. 8:24more positive recent reviews, you
  270. 8:26already know which one you click. Google
  271. 8:28sees that behavior and they reinforce
  272. 8:30it. Reviews are not just about quantity.
  273. 8:32They are also about recency,
  274. 8:34consistency. They are about engagement
  275. 8:36and responses. So ask yourself this
  276. 8:38honest question. Do you have more happy
  277. 8:40customers than you have reviews right
  278. 8:42now? If the answer is yes, you are
  279. 8:44underperforming. The businesses that
  280. 8:46dominate local search, they don't rely
  281. 8:47on memory. They rely on systems because
  282. 8:50humans forget. Systems don't. Some
  283. 8:52people want to do this themselves. And I
  284. 8:54actually show you how in this free guide
  285. 8:56I'm going to give you guys. But if
  286. 8:57you're one of those people that says, I
  287. 8:58have hundreds of people that I've done
  288. 9:00business with and I've never asked for
  289. 9:01review or gave them an incentive to, I
  290. 9:03do reactivation campaigns. And you can
  291. 9:05book an appointment if that's something
  292. 9:06that you want to do. But you can also
  293. 9:08just do this yourself if you want to
  294. 9:09take the time to learn. But I'm going to
  295. 9:10put the links in the description so you
  296. 9:12guys can learn how to do this. But you
  297. 9:13can see local SEO. It's not complicated.
  298. 9:16It's just you need some discipline. The
  299. 9:17businesses winning aren't smarter.
  300. 9:19They're clearer. They're more consistent
  301. 9:20and easier for Google to understand. So,
  302. 9:23can you do it? Let me know in the
  303. 9:24comment section. If you want my free
  304. 9:25guide on all this stuff, comment the
  305. 9:27word guide and I'll send it to you guy.
  306. 9:28Have a great day. As always, thanks for
  307. 9:30watching.
