- 0:00The open field meta in Rise of Kingdoms is constantly changing. So today, I'm going to
- 0:04be bringing you guys my updated guide for the very best PvP armies in the entire game. Whether you're
- 0:10running one army, three armies, five armies, or even seven armies in Rise of Kingdoms,
- 0:15this video has you covered. And you can use the chapters below to jump to the part of the video
- 0:19that you care about the most. But before we jump in, of course, what's going on, guys? Cheers. Now,
- 0:24as you guys know, I'm a partner creator with Rise of Kingdoms. So, if you want more Rise of Kingdoms
- 0:28content, drop a like down below and use the hype feature on mobile. It really helps out the
- 0:32channel a ton because we are so close to 100,000 subscribers. Now, with that out of the way, let's
- 0:37jump right into the tier list because Alf Arcelon has been in the game for a couple of weeks now
- 0:42and we've seen hundreds of players use him across multiple KVKs and the data is in. We know who the
- 0:48best pairs are now. So, let's pop over to the tier maker. Really quick before we get into this list,
- 0:53I want to try something different with this video. Go ahead and comment down below what
- 0:57your best lineup looks like in Rise of Kingdoms in the open field right now. Okay? Tell me what
- 1:02you are running and then at the end of this video, reflect back on that and check to see is are your
- 1:08armies similar to what I would recommend here. If not, maybe there's an opportunity to improve
- 1:12your marches. Or you can let me know why you think your armies performed better than what I mentioned
- 1:16in this video. It's going to be an interesting experiment. So, let me know down below. Logically,
- 1:19the best place to start with this video is the single best march in Rise of Kingdoms in June of
- 1:242026. And the answer is Emperor Chin with either Zhuge Liang or YSG. Now, I personally prefer Zhuge
- 1:31Liang because he's a bit more supportive. But if all you care about is damage, you can use the YSG.
- 1:36Or if you don't even have the Zhuge Liang, this is totally fine. But it's pretty cut and dry. If
- 1:40you're running one army in the game, this army does it all. It is the highest DPS in the game.
- 1:46It is always trading insanely well. It's frankly the only downside here is it's a little bit slow
- 1:51on the battlefield, but because it deals so much damage, it almost doesn't even matter if you
- 1:56get caught out of position because you're still going to trade well. So, this is, in my opinion,
- 2:00the very best march in Rise of Kingdoms right now. It's almost not even close. And that's
- 2:04coming from somebody like myself who is much more invested in infantry than I am in any other troop
- 2:10type. I mean, my infantry stuff is just the best on my account. And even with that being said,
- 2:15the Emperor Chin just outperforms it. just it is what it is. Emperor Chin still reigns supreme as
- 2:20the best commander in Rise of Kingdoms. With that being said, if you're running two armies in the
- 2:24open field, this is where we have to talk about infantry. Okay, if I were running two marches in
- 2:29Rise of Kingdoms, it would be these two marches right here. The only variation there might be a
- 2:33Liu Che instead of Bai. I think Bai hits a little bit harder, but Liu Che has really nice synergy
- 2:39with Sun Tzu's kit. He also has a rage engine with the combo attacks and the expertise there. So,
- 2:43there's an argument to be made for both of these, but I think the safest single infantry march in
- 2:48the game right now is Sun Tzu Prime primary with Bai secondary. Those are the two best marches
- 2:53in Rise of Kingdoms. There's no asterisks here. There's no but what about Oh, but there's no these
- 2:58are the two best marches pretty much hands down. And I I know that like cavalry are in a little bit
- 3:02of a weird spot right now. I think cavalry frankly have the short end of the stick. We'll talk about
- 3:06that. And that's not to say they have bad armies. They have incredible armies. But I think cavalry's
- 3:11real time to shine is going to be later this year when we see the next generation cavalry. That's
- 3:15what I'm personally paying close attention to because I think that's really going to change
- 3:19the field meta when cavalry finally get another dedicated combo commander. But we'll talk about
- 3:23that in just a second. Okay, so these are the two best marches in the game in my opinion right now.
- 3:28What about moving to a three army lineup? Well, of course this is where we do in fact have to talk
- 3:33about cavalry. And you can't talk about cavalry without talking about Achilles. Okay, now Achilles
- 3:38has a couple of different pairs. If you want maximum damage, then you're going to run Arthur
- 3:42with Achilles. And for a while, I would say this was the de facto just single best cavalry march in
- 3:48the game. It's I mean, the damage is through the roof. Now, with that being said, I have to admit
- 3:53that this march, if you can control this march in the battlefield really well and you're super
- 3:57careful with overextending and playing correctly, this march is going to be your best bet. However,
- 4:03that's in a perfect world. And we unfortunately don't live in a perfect world. And in many cases,
- 4:08you're actually going to find that this march is just a glass cannon. I tried running this march in
- 4:13my zone 5 fights, but frankly, if you're running into a massive enemy ball and you're outnumbered,
- 4:19then this march is not going to perform as well as the other two marches that we have
- 4:23here on the tier list. So, with that being said, I will say that Gengham Chan, I think, does at
- 4:29least deserve to be talked about as part of the single best cavalry march in the game. Okay. Now,
- 4:35if you want maximum tankiness, you're going to use Gengham Chan as the primary. If you
- 4:38want a little bit more damage, you're going to do the Achilles primary here. Either way,
- 4:42I think you're going to find that this march works really well. I think most players would argue that
- 4:46the Arthur Achilles is the way to go here. So, I am going to kind of stick to that. But again,
- 4:51you have to talk about Genghan here because in situations where the open field is just not ideal,
- 4:57you will see better reports running the Gengham with Achilles than you will with the Arthur
- 5:01Achilles. It just is what it is. I mean, in those situations, you just prefer tankiness, right? And
- 5:05I think this is where, you know, the the nuance of the open field meta comes from situational
- 5:10awareness, right? Like some people might say, "Okay, King Arthur Achilles is the best march
- 5:15in the game, right?" And that's because they have the best equipment, the best armaments, the best
- 5:19inscriptions, and they run up against an enemy that they outnumber 2:1 or 3:1. And in that case,
- 5:25yeah, you're going to absolutely dominate with this march, right? And again, I think that's why
- 5:28there's a little bit of disagreement amongst the community about what the best armies actually are
- 5:33because everyone has different KVK matchups. They have different experiences. You know, if you're in
- 5:37Imperium versus a CCD, you just have a different play style. You have different KVK experiences
- 5:43overall. So, it's going to vary quite a bit there. So, again, I do just want to mention that like
- 5:47if you need the tankiness, you've got no choice. You're running the Gengam Chan with Achilles. If
- 5:51you're not worried about that, then of course, of course, you're going to run the King Arthur with
- 5:54Achilles. Those are the ways to go. Now, the best four army lineup is super subjective because you
- 6:00could make an argument for a bunch of different troop types filling in that fourth army slot. So,
- 6:05what I'm going to do is actually just go ahead and share with you what I think are the best five army
- 6:10lineups. And then, if you're a four army player, you can decide which of those makes the most sense
- 6:14for your account based on your equipment, based on your commander investments, your armaments,
- 6:19and things like that. Honestly, I feel like the four army lineup is pretty niche. I don't know
- 6:23that many players that are running four armies. Usually you're running between 1 to three or
- 6:28you're running five to seven. The best four armies is kind of just a bridge to the best five armies,
- 6:32right? I mean, like it is what it is. So, with that being said, let's talk about the best five
- 6:35army lineup in Rise of Kingdoms. And really, in my opinion, there are two ways to run this,
- 6:40right? You're either going to do two infantry, two cavalry, one archer, or you're going to do
- 6:45two infantry, two archer, one calav. And I think the common denominator there is that right now
- 6:51infantry have the best two army lineup in my opinion. And so either way you're going to be
- 6:55running two infantry kind of no matter what. And that's the place that we're going to start. Okay.
- 6:59So we've got a couple of ways that you can run this. Okay. I think the number one way that most
- 7:03players are running this right now is you're sticking the bay with the liuche. This is a
- 7:07triedand-true march. It works super well. And then you just slap the William behind the Sun Tzu Prime
- 7:13and you are good to go. Right. I have been experimenting over the last KvK and a half
- 7:17running this instead. I really like this. I think this makes your Sun Tzu march even stronger where
- 7:22the Bai with William Wallace still performs solid. That being said, I've also been testing this
- 7:27during my current KVK and the results of Bai Chi Luche can't be ignored. It is just straight up a
- 7:32good army. So no matter how you want to run this, it's up to you. In the past, I've been pretty
- 7:36adamant on this. At this point with my current KVK and the progress that we've made, I'm leaning
- 7:40a little bit more towards this now. It's up in the air and really it just depends on your gear,
- 7:45right? If you have one set of infantry gear that is far superior than the other one, then you're
- 7:49definitely going to want to run this, okay? You want the best gear on the Sun Tzu Prime, you throw
- 7:52it with the Liu Che and you're good to go. You may even argue running something like this if that is
- 7:57the case, right? And and really maximizing the DPS there with the Bai. But if you have two sets
- 8:02of gear and and armaments that are very similar to one another, then I think you can much more
- 8:06easily make the argument for something like this. Okay? So, however you want to run that, however it
- 8:11makes the most sense for you, you can pick based on your account and based on, you know, what I
- 8:15just said with the gear. And really, I guess this is kind of the answer to the best four army lineup
- 8:18in my opinion. I just I mean, it is what it is. Now that I think about it, I I don't know if I
- 8:23would pick any other troop type above infantry for best four army lineup right now. That being said,
- 8:28if you're going to run two cavalry, what exactly does that look like in June of 2026? Okay. Well,
- 8:34you've got a couple of options and primarily that involves breaking up your Achilles with
- 8:39your Arthur. Okay, so whether you run Achilles Gangam Chan or Gangam Chan with Achilles, however
- 8:44you run that, that's up to you. Again, if you want something more tanky, you go with this. If
- 8:47you want more damage, you go with this. You could just tweak that based on your KvK matchup, right?
- 8:51If you're dominating the field, go with this. If you're on the back foot, go with this. And I think
- 8:54that's how you can sort of get the best results out of that march. Okay, that being said, who are
- 8:59you going to pair with your Arthur? Okay. Well, I think it's pretty cut and dry. The best pairing is
- 9:06either the Hector or you can run the David. If you have the David, this pairing is for those people
- 9:12that just have they already have the David and you know, you could just pop off in the open field
- 9:16with this. That's the way that you want to go. Okay. But if you don't have the David Garrison,
- 9:19then I would say the King Arthur with the Hector is the way to go here. Of course, if you don't
- 9:24have the Hector or the David, then you're kind of forced to run something that's a little bit
- 9:29subpar in my opinion, and that involves something like the Phillip. The Arthur Phillip is something
- 9:33that I haven't even really entertained with this KvK. It's just too squishy. It just dies, right?
- 9:38I mean, it just dies. And in the same camp as that is the uh King Arthur with the William. Okay, it's
- 9:43it they're basically these two different armies. They rhyme. Okay, they're very similar. Different
- 9:48flavors of the same sauce. It's Coke versus Pepsi. Okay, some people prefer Coke, some people prefer
- 9:52Pepsi. I personally prefer the William cuz he actually has damage on the active skill and
- 9:56the extra rage for your armies that actually do damage really moves the needle. But again,
- 10:02uh if you're running one of these, you're running a subpar march for your second army for cavalry
- 10:06at least. Uh you want the Hector or you want the David. In my opinion, that's how I would do it.
- 10:10The other thing we also have to take into account here is that some people are still running one
- 10:14delta march and one skill damage march for cavalry because of the most recent rework to the wedge
- 10:21formation. Some people have held off on converting their best cavalry wedge stuff to Delta because
- 10:27of that rework. If that is you, then I would say you would run something like this where you do the
- 10:31Achilles with Gengham Chan, however you run that, and then you do the Hua with King Arthur. This
- 10:35is the most well-rounded sort of way to do this. You'll notice here that the Gengam Chan Achilles
- 10:40is kind of just the combo delta version of the Hua with Arthur, right? I mean, you've got a massive
- 10:46AoE damage on the secondary and a tanky sort of healing commander in the primary slot. And that's
- 10:51how you can do that. The other way you could do this would be something like the Joan with Arthur.
- 10:55And this is a march that frankly um in the perfect scenario, I can see this working really well
- 11:01with Wedge 2. But that's almost more so on paper because again, this is just so glass cannon that
- 11:08I really struggle to find players that would would rather run this over the Ha, right? I I just, you
- 11:13know, I get why people run that, but personally, I would point you in this direction. Not saying
- 11:18that you can't run the the Joan with Arthur, but I think that the stars kind of have to align there
- 11:22with your KvK matchup and you just just stomping in the open field. That's when you would run that.
- 11:27That being said, that's how I would do this. Okay, that being said, if we're going to do a five army
- 11:31lineup with two archers, two infantry, and one cavalry, then how would you split these up? Well,
- 11:37the answer is pretty clear in my opinion now that we've got sort of the consensus from the
- 11:42community and all the different battle reports and everything. You're going to be running El Parcelon
- 11:46primary with Herman Prime secondary. Okay. I mean, that's just how you're going to do it.
- 11:50There's really not much wiggle room or debate here anymore. A lot of people were talking about like
- 11:54running the Zhuge Liang here or something and like uh that's just we're you're just not doing that,
- 11:59right? Um you know, even the the the Herman Prime primary, the speculation was and I made this
- 12:04speculation as well that the support tree would be more tanky and you would prefer that. You also
- 12:08have the active skill with the AoE here on the primary. That's just not how it's working in in
- 12:12real world fights. Okay. Alp Arslan primary with Herman Prime secondary. That's how you're going
- 12:17to run this. And it's kind of open and shut case. And there's really not much else to discuss there
- 12:20about a two archer lineup. This is pretty much how you're going to run it. Okay. Now, from there,
- 12:25u depending on how your account is built and how you chose to run your five army lineup, we're now
- 12:30going to talk about the best six army lineup. And it should come as no surprise that really
- 12:34we're just going to combine the two best five army lineups. Okay? So really it's going to look
- 12:39something like this where you've got the basically de facto best two archers and the two best
- 12:44infantry and then the cavalry are going to depend on how your account is built. And this is kind
- 12:48of what I meant earlier when I said like calves are in a little bit of a weird spot and they're
- 12:52more likely to get the spotlight later this year when they get their next commander. Okay, it's
- 12:56just it's just very bizarre the situation that they're in. You even can throw hu up here and say
- 13:00like maybe it's the Hua Arthur with the Achilles Genghan and that's how you're running it if you
- 13:04still have the wedge formation. Okay, but either way, um that's kind of what I'm looking at as the
- 13:08best six army lineup right here. It's the 22 two setup. It's the safest way to do this and you are
- 13:13good to go. Okay, from there, let's talk about the best seven army lineup. And there's a ton of
- 13:17different ways to run seven armies right now. So bear with me as we go through all of them. Okay, I
- 13:22think the easiest thing that we could do here when we're talking about the best seven army lineup is
- 13:26you could really just run the Gajamada Cordova in the seventh army slot as your single siege march.
- 13:32then you can use this army in situations where it makes the most sense, right? And one of the things
- 13:36about siege is, you know, you kind of have to have the optimal open field situation to run them,
- 13:41right? If there's lots of movement in the open field back and forth, back and forth, then you're
- 13:44not going to get a lot of value out of siege. But if it's just big concentrated ball fights in
- 13:49one specific area or perhaps there's a bridge or a choke point or near a pass or something like that,
- 13:54then your siege are going to absolutely dominate here. Okay. The other thing we have to point out
- 13:58is that at the time of recording this, we know the skills for Elizabeth the First, but she's
- 14:02not in the game yet. So, we don't know if she's part of the single best siege march in the game.
- 14:07I think a lot of people that are familiar with Siege are saying that they don't necessarily see
- 14:12her overtaking this march as the uh single best march in the in the game for Siege right now. So,
- 14:17that's kind of the current consensus, but we don't know for sure until we see how her kit
- 14:21actually works. But, this is probably the safest seven army lineup in the game. That being said,
- 14:26however, I think siege have sort of fallen from grace over the last 12 to 18 months. I think that
- 14:32the other armies in the field have gotten stronger and stronger and stronger, and we're still talking
- 14:36about Gaja with Cordova, okay? And like that march has been around for a while, and it does still,
- 14:40like I said, perform super well, but it needs ideal circumstances. And if you don't have those,
- 14:44it's not going to perform super well at all. And also, even though Siege did get lots of adoption
- 14:50about a year, year and a half ago, I think a lot of players still held off, right? They did not go
- 14:54and invest all in on siege. And so if you don't have the siege march, let's talk about what the
- 14:59best seven army lineups look like. Okay? And that's going to involve either three infantry,
- 15:04two cavalry, two archers, three cavalry, two infantry, two archers, or three archers,
- 15:09two infantry, two cavalry, right? It makes the most sense to run it that way. I think some people
- 15:13have a leadership march in that seventh slot. And I think I will point you towards Chiskll for more
- 15:18up-to-date information about what that leadership march should look like because personally I don't
- 15:22think I know anybody in my kingdom or anybody that actually runs an open field leadership march. So I
- 15:28can't really sit here and tell you precisely what that's going to be. We also know that Versed is
- 15:33coming around the corner as well and he's going to change the math on some of these too, but he's
- 15:37still a few weeks away. We don't actually have a confirmed release date yet. That being said,
- 15:41let's start with the best three army lineup for infantry. Also, uh I'm going to move these off
- 15:46to the side here because I it just looks too cluttered and I think the consensus is pretty
- 15:51clear like this is the better way to run that. Okay, if you are running three infantry armies
- 15:55in the open field, then you kind of actually need Ivar the boneless. Okay, and I've talked about him
- 16:01in past videos. If you have the specialtal Horn of Fury and you slap him behind your Sun Tzu Prime,
- 16:07he's going to pop off in the open field. Just as a quick refresher of his skills here, okay,
- 16:11he is the latest infantry rally commander. He has a three target, 25,500 smite damage AoE on
- 16:18the active skill. And for the next 3 seconds, you gain 15 rage per second. You also gain rage
- 16:23from the fourth skill on Sun Tzu Prime. And then on top of that, if you have the special
- 16:27talent on the Horn of Fury, you are cooking with gas with a rage engine. That is very good. Okay,
- 16:32second skill gives you 10% health, 20% march speed, and 30% attack. And this does not matter
- 16:37if you're open field or if you're in a rally. This works all the time. Okay, so 40% of stats is
- 16:42a little bit low for the current field meta, but we're working with three infantry armies, so you
- 16:46have to do with what you've got. The third skill is only for attacking cities or strongholds. The
- 16:50fourth skill is only for leading a rally. These two skills do absolutely nothing in the field,
- 16:54which is why you only are using him if you're running three army lineups for infantry. Okay, the
- 16:59expertise is actually quite good in the field as well. You take 10% less normal damage. So that is
- 17:04combo damage and smite damage as well. And then if you're below 50%, you take another 5% less normal
- 17:10damage. Okay, so a little bit more tankiness on the expertise here, but all in all, he is
- 17:14basically just a vanilla stat stick. Okay, he is a beat stick. He is just raw AOE smite damage,
- 17:20a little bit of a rage engine, and some stats to give your Sun Tzu Prime and that's pretty much
- 17:24what he does. That's all he does and that's it. Not to say that doesn't make him good, but again,
- 17:29we're looking at a commander where basically half of his skills don't do anything, okay? So don't
- 17:34expect that he's going to be the best commander in the game in the field, but he's going to have
- 17:37to do here. Okay. And what that means is we're actually going to pull the William Wallace down
- 17:42to our bai march and we're going to separate out the liuche. Now there's a couple of ways
- 17:46or a couple of pairs that you could do with your liuche to really pop off on the battlefield. Okay,
- 17:51the first one is kind of the tried andrue march. This used to be the single best march in the game
- 17:58for infantry and that is the Scipio prime primary with the liuche secondary. And again, I cannot
- 18:04stress this enough. When this march came out, this was the best infantry march in the game. It was
- 18:08double AoE, super strong. Everyone loved it. And to this day, it actually performs decently well
- 18:14if you're going to be running a three army lineup. Okay. Now, if you're going to run this, you might
- 18:18ask, okay, do we run the Wedge 2 or do we run the Pinsir formation? And I'm going to point you in
- 18:24the direction of Pinser formation strictly because it's going to age better for infantry. And also
- 18:28you have a five target AoE with the Luch and only a three target AoE from the uh Scipio Prime and
- 18:34it's a little bit less damage factor. Right? We've got 2250 versus 2,000. So you're just dealing more
- 18:39smite damage. So you might as well do the pinser formation. It makes the most sense, right? So not
- 18:43perfect synergy here, but again it's double AOE. There's a lot to love about this. I think this
- 18:48is definitely a way to go. Another route that you could go here instead would be something
- 18:53like this and you slap the Hector behind the bae, right? and you just get as much value out of that
- 18:59Hector as you can. Okay, this would be the way that you could run that. You also could run the
- 19:03Leoce primary if you wanted to test out the attack tree. It's really up to you how you wanted to do
- 19:07this. Another variation that you could run would be the Ragnar CPIO in the third slot. I really
- 19:12don't like this pair as much as I did about again 12 to 18 months ago. It's just the march speed on
- 19:18the field has gone up and up and up over the last few months. We're starting to see commanders like
- 19:23Alp Arslan with 25% march speed. Okay, we've got 25% march speed on Sun Tzu Prime. I don't
- 19:29know what vers Jedix has. I think it's 20%, but it might even be 25. I think it's 20. But either way,
- 19:33my point is that the entire battlefield is faster now than it was 6 to 12 months ago. And that will
- 19:39only continue to be more and more the case, which makes the Ragnar a really tough cell in the middle
- 19:45of 2026. It's just going to get to the battle late. It's going to leave the battle late. It just
- 19:51on paper this is super super strong with Wedge 2, but in practice it just can't move. It just
- 19:56can't move and that's its biggest downside. So I'm not going to sit here and say you can't run it,
- 20:00but what I will say is that it has definitely fallen really far from grace, unfortunately. And
- 20:06uh it it is what it is, right? It just it is what it is. So that's that. And then finally, the last
- 20:10thing I want to mention here is that um you could run something like this and then you could of
- 20:14course continue to run the liuche with Philip or you could run the uh Liu Che with Alex and just go
- 20:20for that instant proc. And I actually still really like this setup here as long as you're in an open
- 20:25field situation where you're going in and out of combat, right? You need to really micromanage that
- 20:30march. Similar to like the Arthur Achilles, like you have to micromanage it. You can't overextend.
- 20:35You can't get caught out of place. this will melt if you do right. So again, if you can just tap
- 20:40the enemy, do hitand-run combat, you're actually going to see that this march performs super well,
- 20:45but if you're having long open field engagements with big ball fights, I think that this is
- 20:50is probably past its prime, unfortunately. Again, it's really going to depend on your
- 20:54KVK matchup. Okay, so I would point you more in this direction with the Scipio Prime Luche.
- 20:59That's just me. And this is kind of how I would run a three infantry lineup right now in 2026.
- 21:06All three of which running the pinser formation. Moving on to the best three cavalry lineup in
- 21:10the open field. You've got a couple of options here, but it is it starts to become a little bit
- 21:15difficult because this is going to involve kind of a mandatory investment in Ailla. So, if you
- 21:20don't have Ailla, you're kind of in a tough spot here. On top of that, if you do have the Itilla,
- 21:25you need the arch formation most likely. I know people do use the Delta formation as well. That's
- 21:31fine. It's just it the arch formation is has much more synergy with what Aila specifically is trying
- 21:36to do which is just be super prickly and punish anybody who tries to swarm you. Okay, so again
- 21:42the for older players this is a blessing, right? I know a lot of older cav mains love the fact that
- 21:47you can still run it atilla and frankly from a game design perspective it's really good that
- 21:52it is still relevant not only for open field but for rally and for garrison. It's kind of insane,
- 21:58right? But again, that arch formation with some of these special and rare inscriptions is just
- 22:02really, really good on Attilla and what exactly he is doing in the open field. And so again,
- 22:07that's why it's it's a little tough to recommend the three cav lineup right now. Again, if you're
- 22:12an older player, then this is a slam dunk. But for more newer players or for people who didn't invest
- 22:16in it a long time ago, like myself, I thought, hey, who needs a rally commander when I'm an open
- 22:21field player? Uh, apparently me. Okay, apparently I needed to have invested in it till back then.
- 22:25But either way, this is kind of how you're going to run it in my opinion. You're going to run the
- 22:29Attila with David, Achilles with Genghan, however you actually want to run that. And then you'll run
- 22:33the King Arthur with Hector hopefully. Otherwise, you're going to have to be running the Philip or
- 22:38the William here. Okay. The other thing that you could do that I've seen people talk about if you
- 22:43don't have the David is run the Phillip here. And again, this this even more so requires the
- 22:48arch formation, right? Like it's just there's no there's no combo damage here at all, right?
- 22:52literally just all normal damage and just you're being more of a supportive march at that point.
- 22:56You punish players that swarm you and your Philip just does the supportive stuff that he does. This
- 23:01is another thing that you could run here. And just to sort of recap what exactly David IV is
- 23:05doing in the field cuz I know a lot of people might not have him if you're not a cavalry
- 23:09garrison player. He is sort of a a similar setup to Ivar the Boneless for infantry. I know that's
- 23:15a rally commander, but this is just three target combo damage AoE 2800. Okay, so really strong AoE
- 23:22active skill there. And then on top of that, you also cleanse three slow poison exhaustion or other
- 23:28normal debuff effects from this commander's troop. And this is even more relevant now than it was
- 23:33when David landed in the game because of Elparlan being in the open field meta. Alp Arslan with the
- 23:38way his kit is built, he is spreading debuffs all over the place. He's spreading the slow,
- 23:43he's spreading the poison, and he's spreading the normal debuffs. On top of that, the pierce doesn't
- 23:48look like uh David cle cleanses the pierce, okay? But even still, he cleanses everything
- 23:52else that you're spreading with the alparelon. And so this in a way, the open field David sort of got
- 23:58a little bit more powerful with the introduction of alp because the value of this active skill went
- 24:03up. Okay, so I like that a lot. The second skill is again sort of a stat stick. 35% defense and
- 24:09that's it. You'll notice a little less total stats here than somebody like Ava the boneless. That
- 24:13is unfortunate. On top of that, there's no march speed here. That's also unfortunate. Luckily for
- 24:17him, he is a cavalry commander. But even still, I I do think that you will notice the lack of march
- 24:22speed here again because the rest of the field is getting faster and faster. That uh advantage that
- 24:26cavalry had back in the day has shrunk a little bit. Okay, not to say that they're not still the
- 24:31fastest. They are objectively the fastest marches in the game, but compared to your other cavalry
- 24:35marches, the one that has the David is going to be the slowest one, obviously, right? The third
- 24:39skill, unfortunately, is only for garrison. The fourth skill says whenever this commander troop
- 24:43uses an active skill while attacking a troop on the map, the target takes 40% more combo attack
- 24:48damage for the next 3 seconds. Very strong here. Okay, especially if your other two calf marches
- 24:53are dealing combo damage and you're just targeting the one enemy, right? I mean, obviously this helps
- 24:58the active skill of David. Your Aillaa does not do combo damage. So there's a little bit
- 25:02of a lack of synergy there. But if your nearby Genghan Achilles is hitting the same target and
- 25:06your nearby King Arthur with Hector hitting that target, they're going to benefit from this massive
- 25:10debuff as well. Little bit of a cool down, which is unfortunate, but even still. And then finally,
- 25:14uh the expertise is if this commander is serving as a garrison commander. Okay, so this does
- 25:18nothing in the field. So I guess you could run this as a 5515 in the open field and you're not
- 25:22really losing anything, right? Now, should you be investing in a garrison commander for open field
- 25:26exclusively? Probably not. uh especially cuz we know a new cal commander is coming in the next 3
- 25:31to 6 months. But if you already have him because you're a cav garrison main, then this is probably
- 25:35where you want to use him. I suppose another three army lineup you could run with cavalry would be
- 25:39something like this where you have the gangron with David, the king arthur with Hector or Philip,
- 25:44and then you run the with Achilles, which is a well-known Achilles pairing. The Attilla Achilles
- 25:50does really, really well for a lot of people. Especially if, like I said, you don't have that
- 25:54arch formation. You're relying on the Delta, you might want to try this. I don't see this
- 25:58very much, honestly, with the David as a secondary to the Genghan, but I wanted to at least mention
- 26:02it here. Depending on how your formation or your armaments are set up, maybe you would run this.
- 26:06That being said, um, another thing that you could do would be something like this. If you don't
- 26:11have the David, you could run the Hua with the King Arthur as your third march. And of course,
- 26:17that would be all skill damage, right? And then you're running the Itilla with either the Hector
- 26:20or the Philip. But if you're running this, then you're probably better off running this. The only
- 26:24kind of exception there would be if you actually do have really good wedge armoraments for cavalry,
- 26:29then yeah, you're probably going to go with this. I actually, but we're in this weird middle ground
- 26:32where like for this specific KVK that I'm in, I actually like the Hua Arthur because of wedge 2
- 26:38and the fact that I don't have the Attilla or the Hector and I just don't think it's worth investing
- 26:42in them now because we're so close to the next cavalry. So, I'm leaning a little bit more towards
- 26:47this uh the Huaw Arthur than I would in the past, but that's only sort of like a technicality, a
- 26:52little bit of an asterisk there, just cuz we're in this weird window where wedge 2 is great for this
- 26:56march specifically and we're still waiting on new cabs, but again, I want to at least mention that
- 27:00here. And then finally, you could run something like this perhaps uh the Hua. I really don't like
- 27:05the Huajone at all, honestly. Um it's just power crept in every way. I think again with the wedge
- 27:10two buff it's you could make the argument maybe if you still got those inscriptions those araments
- 27:15whatever and you're running the rest of the the calves the way that you're running them you could
- 27:18do the Arthur with the David actually which works really really well for some players if you don't
- 27:23have the Hector or the Philip okay so there's a way to run it there as well but again I don't love
- 27:27this either okay uh in fact you could even run something like this instead and be pretty good to
- 27:32go finally let's talk about the best seven army lineup if you're running three archers and this
- 27:38is where I don't love the three archer lineup. I have never really loved the three archer lineup,
- 27:42unfortunately. I think cavalry are in a weird glass cannon position that is easily fixed with
- 27:47the next combo commander. I think archers, unfortunately, are in a weird march speed
- 27:51position where no matter how you sort of break these up, you're definitely getting something
- 27:54that is subpar. And so, I really don't like that. But there are a couple of suggestions that I will
- 27:58give you guys here. The most obvious of which being the Elparan coming down here and going with
- 28:04the Shajar. Now, you have to understand that this march is absolutely not going to trade super well,
- 28:09okay? Uh, it is more so a little bit more supportive of a march where you're doing the
- 28:13debuff spreading and the pierce stack spreading with the Alp Barcelon. And then you're doing the
- 28:18buffing and the healing with the Shajar. Again, I don't love this, but it's something you could do.
- 28:22And then in that case, you're going to be running something like this with either the Zhuge Liang
- 28:25Herman or the Herman Zhuge Liang, depending on if you want the support tree or the skill damage
- 28:30tree. Support being more tanky, of course. I guess you would probably want the tankiness
- 28:33here because this march is also probably not going to trade super well, but at least this
- 28:37is a little bit more damage oriented and again more debuffing with the two commanders here.
- 28:41The active skill on both these commanders doing lots of debuffing. Okay. And then your Emperor
- 28:45Tune with Y. She is going to be your main DPS march that is going to be popping off especially
- 28:49because everybody's going to be super debuffed by everything else that you've got here. That's kind
- 28:52of how I would run that. Of course, the other way you could run this would be the Zhuge Liang with
- 28:56the Phillip. This is a commander pairing that people have run over the last I would say year,
- 29:00year and a half. I think again this has lost a lot of its luster because you're only getting the 20%
- 29:05march speed from the Phillip. And like I said earlier in the video, the rest of the field has
- 29:09gotten faster since Philip came out. So it's it's a little bit power crept in that way. I think the
- 29:14march speed was the main reason people ran these together in the first place. Also because archers
- 29:18were in just objectively a worse spot back then. So you could try something like this as well. I
- 29:23think a lot of people are running this if they're running three archers. And if you don't like those
- 29:26two options, you're you're starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel here unfortunately.
- 29:30You could try to flex Hector around somewhere. He is, you know, super universal. You can use
- 29:34him anywhere. Other than that, you're going to be forced to pull in the Asher Bonopal somewhere,
- 29:38whether that's with the Zhuge Liang or if you run the Herman Asher Bonop, which is like tried
- 29:42and true, and then you run the Alp Arslan with the Zhuge Liang. It's another pairing that people kind
- 29:47of pointed towards. Frankly, I think this actually might be a better army lineup here, the the YSG
- 29:52behind the Alp Arslan. Based on recent data we've seen from the community, this actually trades
- 29:56slightly better than the Alp Arslan Zhuge Liang. So this might be actually the way to run that. But
- 30:00again, you're running I mean like permanopol just feels so outdated at this point. I'm not really
- 30:05sure how archer mains are feeling about that really halfway through 2026. So really I would
- 30:09be pointing you in either this direction and just accepting that this march is going to be more of
- 30:14a supportive march and the Zhuge Liang with Herman is going to trade much worse than it used to. It's
- 30:19just so funny cuz this used to be one of the best marches in the entire game and for a while was the
- 30:24single best archer march, but now it's like just so so slow that it's basically a slower version
- 30:31of Ragnar Cipio, which is like insane to even think about. But yeah, this is just not trading
- 30:35how it used to. And if not this, like I said, it's going to be something like this. Okay, and that's
- 30:40how you're going to run that. Anyway, despite all of that, like I said earlier, I think the
- 30:43safest seven army lineup is something like this where you just use the ranged in the conditional
- 30:48situations where they perform really well. Beyond that, I would say if you're running a 322 lineup,
- 30:53I would put infantry in first place, cavalry in second place, and archers in third place,
- 30:58which is really unfortunate. Now, that being said, we do have a lot of new commanders coming
- 31:02down the pipeline. Okay, so I mentioned Versedix. I mentioned Elizabeth the First. those we know are
- 31:08confirmed coming and that might change the range meta. It also might change the calav meta a little
- 31:12bit, right? We might have versed come up here as a secondary to King Arthur. And then beyond that,
- 31:17we've got lots of great things on the horizon. We are expecting a new special KvK story commander
- 31:23this year. And that commander, the community expects it to be archers and that could definitely
- 31:28change the math on the best 322 lineup. Okay, if we get a really good archer that comes and
- 31:33lands in that special KvK story, that's going to change the math entirely. And then on top of that,
- 31:37we have new calves by the end of the year. And that again also could completely change the best
- 31:42322 lineup as well. Okay, so with that being said, if you don't want to miss those updates when they
- 31:47come to the game, definitely subscribe to the channel. And even if you think you're subbed,
- 31:50double check cuz YouTube actually unsubscribes you sometimes. I've gotten comments recently
